Not a one. It's a swamp, but you don't get any of the same feelings that you had before. No hairs standing on end. No spooky lights…

I think I had midnight out, and was heading to help out the poor pokes being held hostage by that hooded thing.

"It'll be one less to worry about if we catch one. Still, I'd rather get her and get out, I don't want to have to deal with so many at once."

The old ruins of the castle are concealed by the treeline – and besides, they're up the mountain from here. It seemed so easy when you were flying!

But it missed!

His shell begins to crack from the repeated slamming.

"Keep it up, Quagsire, you're doing great!"


"The Honedge will hate you if you kidnap their mother! Why are city trainers so dense!" I face palm.
"Its too bad we can't fly.. Is there anyone else you think we should bring?"


"No reason we can't, uh, take one of them along to join us!"

"Up to you. Honedge are nice pokemon. I think."


"I don't know if anyone else is nearby. Let's look around first! At most we can come back later!"


"Woah, I'm sure the same thing would happen if I tried to take the queen from a Beedrill hive. I'm not that dumb!"

"Besides, I think we should worry about getting there first. It looks like we have a lot of forest to walk through."

"I know, right? They look so cool when you see them in the 'Dex. I'm already starting to think of names, yo'."


Well if that's how he wants to play it, Revenge!

I sigh. "Well at least we should get there pretty soon.. come to think of it i'm kind of hungry.. Its been a long time since lunch.."


"How about after the great conquerers of Tianxia history? Aegislash are said to serve great Kings well."


"How about a drink? I have some Berry Juice Pallet made."

"Woah, I wasn't thinking about it like that. There are so many to choose from."


"Oooh. Ever heard of a Pokemon called Tropius? They use it in some places for food! By that I mean fruit growing from it."


"If I can catch one, maybe I can open up a juice bar. That would be cool, since I could host musicians and skaters."


"Oh yea! Those are Mr. Corwin loves that pokemon, it grows bananas like a beard! "

I grimace, but it doesn't look like I have much of a choice. So I'll send out DC, and have him use Psybeam.

"Maybe because then the ghost pokemon would be scared away? They could be shy like fairies." I suggest.

Quagsire slams him!

"Listen… you're getting pretty beat up, kid. Why don't we call this one? I'm actually headed up to Fogmire to catch a Frillish after this. You look like you could use some practice out in the wild. You want to come with?"

More of a swamp than a forest. The problem is that the castle ruins in question are up the side of a cliff. It's unclear how you'll be able to get up… you may just have to follow it north or south until it dips. South seems like the safer bet based on your understanding of the geography. In particular, Arthur has seen a route to the castle before when he was doing some off-road hiking south of here.


"I thought they could turn invisible? They won't have to deal with any people if they do that."


"Mmm I guess they did turn invisible when they attacked you before. Hmmm.
Come to think of it why bother trainers and pokemon that are so far away?"
"Uh we should go south? That's the fastest way?"

"Yes, I did, if you're asking! It's a weird path to something that look like a circus tent, I think."


"Hey, you got any clue how to get to this castle?"


"Maybe they're after something?"

I'll sigh in defeat.

"Yeah, yeah…how'd you get that thing so strong anyway?"


No big tops as far as you can see in any direction.

The swamp is… swampy, to say the least. Emily's galoshes are very country, and very useful for keeping try, but city folk don't have the same luxury. This off-roading is not kind to Kingsley's skates. Indeed: they keep getting stuck in the mud. At the rate he's slowing you, it might be easier to just carry him.

Arthur's tennisshoes are completely flooded at this point and threaten to be pulled off, but at least they're better than the skates.

"Quagsire is my strongest Pokemon. I should've had him with me when I was fishing before. He gets a lot of experience because every time some hotshot comes in from the city with electric types to beat up on Fishers, he teaches them a lesson! I've been protecting the fishermen here from exploitation for years."


"Sorry about that."

Guess I don't have much a choice. Take off the skates and tough it out.

You head south. Slowly the cliff gives way to a great forest. Here, the ground has become more firm.

There is no tent, but in the distance you see a pavilion. Perhaps that's what Arthur was thinking of.

Dawn approaches. The morning glows red on the horizon, a pleasant peachy hue. Indeed: morning is your ally, is it not?


"See anything yet? Like paved road?"


"Yeah, there's something ahead that might fit. If anything, it's someplace to go get our shoes dry."


I pick her up.
You think so? I'm trying my best to match you guys up well.
"Yeah, as I'll ever be. I don't think I've ever been to Fogmire though."


Things are less spooky in the daytime!

"I see a pavilion." I report as I walk towards it.

"Hmmm… it's almost dawn. The fishing won't be any good until tomorrow morning anyway. Let's hike. Up north of here is Sapshire. Ever been? Town full of bugs. A little creepy crawly for me."

He heads out the gate.

That's a few more days… but that sounds like a fun thing to visit if you ever sop by again. You must be near Sapshire. Up in the woods northwest of it.


"Yeah, I came from there recently. Participated in the bug-catching contest, caught a Vivilion."


"This is it! Now, I'm sure I saw a castle from here… "

Looks like traveling in a group is almost as good as having Repel. Most of the Pokemon slink away in sight of two armed trainers.

You actually make record time arriving in Sapshire. That was easy.

"Sapshire, sapshire. You know, I think it was less weird eating honey before I saw where it is made. Is that weird to think?"

Indeed, there is a path up the mountain not far from here, though the castle proper is obscured by the mountains.

"Can't you just send a text while we keep looking? I'll let you borrow my 'Dex if yours doesn't have it."


"Shauna! Its me Emily! You want to catch more bugs right? Oh, of course you do! I know just the thing! A bug catching contest in your hometown! You wanna come right? Its this saturday! It seems like so much fun."


I cover the speaker part to reply to you.
"Relax this will only take a second!"


"I see it!"

"Oh, yeah. You know they hold that every Saturday, right? I mean, I used to go all the time as a kid, but my parents wouldn't let me participate. But yeah, it might be fun to go with you… maybe later after the heat dies down, though. I did kinda leave abruptly…"

"I…guess? I never really thought much about it before. What do you normally eat anyway?"

I look down at Mils and raise an eyebrow.


"Oh, right.. I got so excited I forgot that you were on the run.. sorry! Are you and Durant doing fine?"

"Yeah, we are traveling… Maybe I'll get a ship to take me up north and I'll visit Crimsonborough."

She waggles her hair at you.

"Eh, whatever I can get my hands on. You know, not all Pokemon are for training, but of course some folk find that unsavory. But you know, wild Pokemon don't develop intelligence like trained Pokemon do – that's a fact. Anyone who has real experience with Pokemon knows it. A Pokemon isn't complete without a trainer. I guess it brings up all sorts of philosophical arguments about potential for sapience. Boy, I sure do blather on, don't I? What I mean to say is, I'll eat what I can get. I love pie, though."


You hike up northeast, up the slope of the mountain. The ruined castle should be in view soon.

Arriving at the gates of Sapshire, there's a sign up.

"Hm… road's closed, huh? Some kinds of attacks? That's no good. Hey, what say we take another route I know?"


"Oh wow, that's really really far." I pause in awe. " I'm so proud of you! I'm gonna call you back after I explore this haunted castle," I add with a giggle. " with city boys! Two of them, I know right."


Is the route good enough for my skates? I don't want to waste my socks if I can avoid it.


"Wow. I thought you hated city folk? Are they all weak and doughy? I bet you can pick them up with one hand!"

Yes, you're back on mountainous terrain, the mud far behind you.


Man, if only he knew…

"Attacks? What kind of attacks?"
I check the signs, then look back at him.
"Well, I guess. Where's this go now?"


Put on my skates then! Make sure the wheels are still good by doing a few spins on them.


Snicker. "I might have to if they keep up this pace!"

Whenever you catch new Pokemon, they seem dazed. I thought maybe it was just weakness after being captured, but there might be something to what he's saying…

"Ghosts, I'm afraid. Fortunately the route I know has roads. It's an older way. Actually, you know part of it. Up to the bug catching contest area first."

He points to that old road.

Thereabouts you're headed!

They're clogged with mud! You need to wash them out with something. Even then it will be a bumpy ride on mountainous terrain, but possible.

"Okay, well, keep them in line. Think of it this way: now you're their trainer."


Up ahead, you see an old road. It's in pretty crumbly decay, but it's a step above mountain rocks in terms of civilization of roads.


burst out laughing. "You know just what to say Shauna. Okay. I'll talk to you later. Tell Durant I said hi!"
wait for her to say bye and then hang up.


"This is the last time I head into the woods like this. Paved roads and public transportation for the rest of my life."

I'll bang them on the ground as we walk, to knock the mud out of them."


"Now you guys are being silly. we got here just fine!" I say.



It's not exactly hard yet. It's gumming up the works. If only your pokemon had picked up a water bottle.


I thought so too, but you're right. I don't know if I'd ever see something like Nightlight playing with DC in the wild.

We follow him up the old path. Not really sure I want to deal with ghosts right now…

What has Pallet been up to? He's just been on my head while we ventured through swamp and forest.

Let's have Green come out. "Hey, green, you think you can help these city boys out with their shoes? Give it a good rinse?"


"Most people don't know it, but I happen to know that if you head north from this pavilion, you can actually find an old road. It swings past this big old ruin, and then links up with the east road. Easy travel. So you've been awfully quiet. Kinda just staring at your Ralts the whole time, huh?"

She swaggers a bit. You're not planning on tasting me to decide if you want to eat me, huh?

Who knows what he's been doing?

He's holding a berry.

You can see the ruins in the distance up ahead. You're stopped when…

Green gives an enthusiastic nod and blasts both of them with water! They're soaked.


"EEK! No, that will be fine for now, thank you.. "




"My stuff!" Take out my wallet and 'Dex and make sure they don't get too wet. "Oh, and thanks. I should be able to move better now."


giggle and give her a nice scratch behind the ears.
"They look all clean now! Great job."
"What? your shoes aren't muddy anymore!" I say with a grin.

Green gives you a smile and one of her legs pops up and down as you scratch.


I start and look up at him.
"Huh? Oh, no. Just…well, what kind of ruin? More ghosts, you think?"

Nah, you're too tiny for that. Besides, I bet you taste funny.


"I guess. And their skates…"

Still, I'm not risking it. They charge too much to file a damage claim and get a replacement.

"It's never seemed too odd any time I've gone past it. What, every pile of rubble has to be haunted? Look, there's the road up ahead."

In the distance, up the hill, you see some figures.

YOU taste funny! You're always grabbing stuff with no concern for where it's been.

You notice on your way down the road that you're being trailed by two figures.

"What you're really afraid of a little water?" I groan slightly.
"Green can you believe how silly they are being?" hold her 'hand' as we walk forward.

No, far, far back you see two others.

She skips alongside you. No sign of ghosts ahead, but you are now approaching the ruins.


Hey, how else am I supposed to pick stuff up?That's what hands are for!
"Well, I am from Phlox after all. We've got a thing about ghosts there."
I point at the figures.
"Have you ever seen anyone else up here?"


"On my non-waterwear.. wait, look behind. Two people are following us. "

"Recognise them?"


You could wash them more often!

"No, but you know, it is a road. We don't have exclusive rights."


"Hey, I don't want to break my stuff because it shorted out, you know. They're expensive and I don't have the stablest income."

"Let me see if I can get a good look without tipping them off." '1d10'

It's like your head didn't even turn! As they begin to gain ground, you can see Jake if you know him.

You swing around super excited and super obvious! You also can't really see clearly. If you had any exposure to glasses out in the countryside, maybe you'd know that you really need to get an eye test. I mean, your eyes are just really bad, but since Pokemon Training is sort of a close up thing, and you're not reading distant signs or watching TV from across the room… well, it doesn't come up much. Anyway, this a long way of saying, you have no idea of it, but you have bad vision. You just see two fuzzy dots. How could someone recognize another human from this distance?


Their backs are a bit turned, going the other direction. Three of them, and a Pokemon.

I'm a psychic.


"Looks like it's just some regular people behind us. No need to worry."


Shrug a bit. "Well okay then. I hope they don't wanna battle, there isn't a center around here.."
'1d10' keep going to the castle and just ignore that nearsighted thing.

Let's just keep on going and pay them no mind.


They gain on you, given that they're traveling somewhat faster having not been slogging around wet or keeping pace with the short and stubby Green.

Eventually, Jake catches up to you. He's with a Fisherman.


Well, me too, but that doesn't tell me about how you taste, or why Chopshop is afraid of birds, or other stuff.

"Oh, you! How's that Magnemite and Porygon? And why are you here?"


"Good day. Are you here for the bug catching contest? You're a few days early.. Ooh! Are you scouting out spots for it? How smart! I should be doing that! But shuana probably knows the best spots already.. Oh I'm sorry! I'm Emily. Who are you?"
I offer a hand shake to both of them.


"Fisherman Rick. Pleasure."

"Doing fine. DC is a bit of a handful sometimes. Anyway, we're…apparently taking a shortcut. What are you all doing exploring a spooky castle?"
"I was in the last one, actually…my name's Jake."
I shake it, a little surprised at the enthusiasm.

I giggle a bit. "Hey what brings you out this far if not the bugs? there isn't any river here is there?" I think carefully as if I would know.


"The swamp road between Sapshire and Fogmire is closed because of ghost attacks. I'm headed to Fogmire to catch a Frillish."


"I'm accompanying them. Didn't want to let them go alone! And I wanted to see a Honedge."

How close are we?


"Oh, they closed the road? That was pretty fast. I guess the nurse got word around. We're headed up to the castle to fix the ghost problem. So you'll be able to use the road again soon.. Wait did you say you need a frillish?"


"Yep. You see, I protect the fishermen from city folks who come down and try to battle them for all their hard earned money. Usually Quagsire is enough to protect them, but some of them are getting clever and using all kinds of weird Pokemon that aren't electric types. Anyway, I figure a ghost will scare most of em off."


Well that's a little sobering. How could I be?
"Wait…there are Honedge up here? Are they the ones…attacking the town?"


I wasn't blaming you. You just woke up recently, right? Same as me. Eventually you'll evolve.


"Oh, yes. According to Emily and Kingsley at least."


"Oh gosh! Well this is great! I actually have a Frillish that I can't really care for. Poor guy is stuck in the box. And protecting others from greedy trainers is just the kind of job I'd love him to have." I fiddle with my dex. "Once we get done with this thing and back to a center I can trade him to you!"


"That sounds good. Where are you from?"


Evolve? So you call it that too?
"Why would they be doing anything like that at all?"


"Mint Town. I'm going on a shrine journey!" I say excitedly.
"You'll see when we get to the castle."


"You too?"


This is a perfect illustration of how you're not fluent. Words are a method of conveying meaning between minds. But when you connect psychicly, you can cut out the middleman. We aren't communicating in the form of words. I can't be held accountable for whatever words your mind has attached to the meaning I give you.

"You know, I actually have a Ludicolo, if you are looking for a Water / Grass type."

"Yea! Its great to see new places isn't it?"

"As in, they're not captured? I didn't even know that was possible."
"It sure is! Which ones have you visited so far?"
I suppose that's true. Still, this is the only way I've known how to communicate all my life. I'm still surprised I can even understand you so clearly now.




"I've been to Fandango, the port is so huge! and sapshire, and autumn glen that's where I made friends with Green here!" I gesture to my pokemon at my side, a green Azumarill.


You stand before the ruined doors of the aging castle ruins. Frankly, it looks like with the collapse of rocks, it's questionable if the door can be opened. It looks jammed… but they had to get inside somehow, right?


"…maybe we can go in a window?"
'1d10' Do I see any freshly upturned dirt or open window?

"Green? I've never seen a green Azumarill before…"

"Oh.. That's what they call a shiny pokemon. But I don't mind. I am just glad to have a friend so loyal! Green saved my life before you know."


You've never connected with a non-psychic type before, and this is no exception.

The doors are two foot wide each, and ten feet tall.

The castle itself is in ruins. The upper floors have collapsed and are exposed to the elements: climbing in that route may be viable.

The windows are collapsed in, but the dirt near the door seems to have been disturbed.


"Shiny? Doesn't look very shiny to me…"
Well you can't blame a guy for trying.
Let's see if we can find some sort of handholds up.


"Here, maybe if I give you a boost you can see something else we can use."


It looks like a tough climb for a city dweller like you. Maybe someone tougher would be able to get up the collapsed wall on their own, or you could use a Pokemon.


"Rope would be too much to hope for, wouldn't it? Up and over."


'Be careful and don't get yourself caught in anything."


"It just means the pokemon is a different color!"
"Uh.. can any of your pokemon dig? I think that they dug in."


"Nnnnnope, I'm afraid not…"

I give a fustrated groan. "Well. Lets see.. What about breaking the door in?"

The reason that the dirt was disturbed in spite of the rocks in the way was that the door opens inward (like most front doors).

You ram through loudly and draw the attention of several heavily cloaked hex maniacs.


"They'll ruin everything! Alert the master – we'll hold them off here!"

Jeeg slams against the wall as he's blasted by the Shadow Ball, and the remaining Pokemon are having trouble approaching due to the galeforce.

Kala fishes a key out of one of the maniac's pockets before being buffeted back.


Get around that with Magnet Bomb!

I shout to them over the wind.

Pincel grows more dense!

You disrupt Drimblim's wind with bombs, but Haunter slams Jeeg a second time, leaving him dazed.

With the wind gone, Green is able to roll much closer, though doesn't quite make contact.

"That's okay, Drifblim. Quick, start up the wind again!"


"Pincel, go forth and block the wind! It'll be no match for you, buddy!"

"Thief! Attack the Drifblim! Drag it here!"

Pincel and Green can't get close enough – the ominous wind, biting at their coats.

Jeeg is knocked out cold by a final Shadow Ball!

With a loud POP! the Drifblim faints and deflates.

"Return! Come on, let's get out of here!"

The two maniacs flee upstairs… And you just found a key leading downstairs…

From the foyer there is a staircase up, or rooms to the left and right. The room to the left looks like an old dining room that collapsed in, making your choice one third easier.


"If I were a hex maniac, I'd think I'd be in the basement for my schemes."

It loops through a ruined hall, long rug still in place. There is a stairway down here, presumably leading to the basement.


"Well I've hardly been accused of 'schemeing' for one. But, lead the way."

Strangely, there is no door blocking the stairway. What could it mean?


"Well that's weird.."

Nightlight gives off a spooky glow.
The basement seems largely empty, except for a largeish dungeon cell down here, in keeping with the theme. Someone is sitting inside it, back against the wall.

"Oh, not maniacs, are you?
Then I am in luck. Could you help me?
As you can see I am stuck, without recourse."

By the light of the Pokemon, you can tell he is an odd sort. He wears light mail and a black traveling robe, emblazoned with some foreign symbol. Around his neck limply hangs a mask which he has taken off during his imprisonment.


"Uh.. who are you mister?"


"And why are you here, sir? Any Pokemon with here?"


"We'll do what we can, but how'd you end up here?"


"I may need to star a lobby movement…"


Roll my eyes.
"He meant you're not a crazy maniac. You're like a good maniac."


"Yes. Just across."

He gestures to a number of Pokeballs on the table.

"I really must insist on the opening of this cell before playing twenty questions, given that my captors are no doubt still about."


"Man, five minutes with you guys and this happens? You're fun."

"Oh, right."

Mmm.. "Well. If you are against those meanies then that means you can't be that bad! Go ahead and let him down guys."


"Come on out. Anyone those guys threw in here is someone we want with us."


"We don't even know why you're here. Could you tell us first?"

"Some of your people gave me a nice Pokemon. What brought you here, though? Any idea what's afoot?"


"What brought you all the way here? There must be other ghosts in other places."


"No. The only shrine I have visited recently is the one I have set up as a reprieve camp near Bosworth Estates, or Witch Hill, as some call it."

"I cannot say for certain what is going on here, only that they seemed intent on stymieing any interference. In truth, I was fighting ghosts along the East Road prior to my abduction. Thus, my arrival here was involuntary."


"Know anything about the Witch Hill?"
Shiver a bit, but the treasure…

"Anyway, would you care to accompany us? We're investigating this house."


"Those guys are still above us. If you're in no condition to fight, we can give you directions to the nearby towns. We'll deal with the Hexes."


"Great, ghosts with a grudge…this is like those flicks back home all over again."


"The ghosts are being forced to fight because their mom is being held prisoner by these jerk faces!"


He retrieves his Pokeballs and items.

"As I said, I will repay you later, once I have recuperated, and my Pokemon healed. My advice would be to cloak yourself in the armor of Dark types if you wish to fight more ghosts. Until then, good luck. May the Lord reflect within you."



"Dark-types? I don't think I have one of those…"

This room is mostly barren, likely emptied out so that Gerard couldn't engineer an escape by dragging something into his cell.

Besides, who stores important stuff in a pitch dark room?

Kala ruffles his feathers.

If he heard that remark, he didn't acknowledge it. He departs up the stairs and out of the ruins.


"Come on, we have some ghosts to save." Get out of this dark into the less dark upstairs.


Pitch black rooms are perfect to stash things away.

"At least we won't have to worry about getting him out later."


Back up to the main floor. Only up to go from here…

The sleep powder and smog is blown back toward your group!

You and your Pokemon (except Solaire) are feeling drowsy…

Pincel hardens considerably!

There are three trainers in the room, all with Drifblims. This room is circular shaped and the wind sweeps around creating a tornado-like effect.

"You'll never bust through. We chose this room to make our stand for a reason!"


"Kala! Thief something of theirs!"
Say more quietly.

Kala tries to fly up, but his wings get caught in the maelstrom and he can't approach!

Just as you pull out your glasses, they fly out of your hands into the ominous tornado. The fit of coughing the smog sends you into leaves you exposed to the sleep powder and you feel yourself about to lose consciousness…

Pincel slowly creeps toward the group but it's all he can do to stay grounded!

The psychic on the other side yells something at you with a maniacal expression, but the wind snatches it away.

You effectively safeguard your mouth, but Nightlight is looking drowzy and struggling to keep herself lit in the wind. She's about to go out!

She gives it one last astonish, halting the wind oh-so-briefly, before collapsing.


Groan a bit.
"Hey, try a sweet scent to wake these boys up."

We need to reposition ourselves.
Call Kala to me and try to get there together,wherever the winds are weaker.

"Ghosts, ghosts, ghosts!" Well if they want to play it that way…

I recall her and send out Jeeg, following them in. Thundershock too.

You try to relocate to the eye of the storm, where Pincel is standing. It's the best you can do before you give in and pass out. Someone better give you a good doubleslap to wake you up.

It would be a brilliant idea, if Arthur wasn't fumbling away from Solaire. Still, Kingsley is close enough to get the effects and looks rallied. Unfortunately, it blows away as the Drifblims start up their ominous wind again.

Solaire is feeling worn from the relentless wind.. he can't take much more!

Emily's Solaire's Sweet Scent helps you rally yourself, and Pincel moves into the center – the room's eye, before the wind starts back up again.

A crushing thundershock causes the far right Drifblim to deflate, and that psychic fleets upstairs. They shout back and forth between themselves, but the newly-restarted wind is too much to follow what they had to say.


I can't sleep here!

Since I was following behind Pincel, I'll try to get to Arthur and try to wake him. '1d10'

"Pincel, try to keep in front of them!. You're strong enough to stop their wind before it becomes trouble!" Tackle attempt. '1d10'

Blue is having a hard time approaching due to the wind…

Kingsley fumbles around trying to orient himself in the high winds, but Pincel knocks out the far right Drifblim who was not knocked out before because Jeeg was lying on the ground fainted.

Jeeg was fainted by a shadow ball at the entryway to the castle. The fainted Pokemon turns feebly in unconsciousness.

The night slash misses entirely, but you score a direct hit with your ACTION GIRL muscles! Are you sure you don't have some Machamp blood in your family line?

One of the two remaining Drifblims reels in agony and the wind briefly abates.

Pincel only barely manages to creep up to them, but helps strike the one who stops producing wind. It's tough for a Pokemon without reach!

How… how do you wake up someone like this?! You don't have this kind of training! Dammit Jim you're an artist not a doctor!

Memory of a crit passed by…

You reach back into twelve seconds ago and pull out the fiercest slap you've ever unleashed! Arthur awakes.


"Oh Princess, I… bah."

Leap up to feet.

"Kala, take the Driifbliiims air! Thief!"

Snicker a bit at the boys, and help dust off blue.

Your combined efforts strike down another Drifblim, forcing another psychic to retreat.

The bulky Drimblim absorbs the hit, looking a little worse for the wear before he starts back up again.

The two of you bound backward.

You get clipped and cut off, Pincel getting slashed.

One Honedge comes down directly on your shoulder, badly injuring you. You need medical attention.

There are six Honedge now, in addition to the Drifblim, although they are unled.


"Use Recover, then I'll call you back, Pincel!" '1d10'

"Come on.. There has to be a way to snap them out of it.. Honedge. I know you don't want to attack us! We're here to save you. Stop fighting us!" '1d10' try reasoning with them
'1d10' dark slash again "Just keep holding off the wind makers as best you can Blue.."

"Jake, back away! Focus on the last Drifblim! Thief, Kala!"

I'll back away as far as I can from those things, but one more Scald on that Driftblim.

Pincel's looking to be in better shape, but you're still cut off from the group.

Pincel eats a Pursuit, which makes you nervous about calling him back.

Kala manages to cut through the powerful gusts and take out the last Driftblim! Still, all of this ominous wind has taken its toll on him in spite of the resistance.

A pursuit to the side of the head leaves the bird reeling.

Blue can't get close, but Kala finishes them off.

He looks pretty worn out from all the ominous wind. It gets worse when a couple of Pursuits nail him.

The super-heated water is blown away, but Kala finishes off the Drifblim.

Needlenose gets hit by a couple Pursuits, and is looking very beat.

You don't have time to think about it as another pursuer smashes you broadside. This place is a dangerous place to flee!

There are six of them, and none of them look winded as you do.

Two Honedges swish about from side to side and slash at Haman with Pursuits.

You meet up with Jake, who really needs your support right now. He's been cut up.

Pincel blasts one of the unlead Honedges with bubbles, but receives slashes in turn.


Oh, and that was enough damage. Pincel flops over, fainted.

One of the Honedges looks a little weakened, but Midnight goes down from a pursuit. It was a one hit wonder!

One of the honedges crashes through the floor, fainted.

Three honedges group around him and start Pursuiting him. Haman may have a resistance, but the brutal assault would take a toll on any Pokemon. It occurs to you that your calculated strategies from the 1v1 League are less applicable in a brutal melee such as this.

Your rock types are ROUGH AND TOUGH! Camo's rocky hide absorbs two Pursuits like a champ.

Well… berry juice tastes nice, but it's not suturing your wound. You should get some pressure on that.
