 No.7161[Last 50 Posts]

Searching far and wide.

>>7157
They're out on Fall Road.

 No.7163

 No.7164

>>7159
You traverse the Fall Road with no incident and arrive in Sapshire.

>>7162
"It's not as though I'd refuse you if you were. It is good that you've come."

 No.7165

>>7161
I was watching art! Does the boy from Autumn Glenn seem pleased? What about the Smeargle ?
'1d10'

Roll #1 10 = 10

 No.7166

>>7165
Leo seems pretty pleased with himself.

The boy isn't too thrilled about the tagging, though.

 No.7167

Beldum needs to evolve first for a serious attempt at the shrine.

But I'll go visit the fairy shrine anyway.

 No.7168

>>7166
Look kind of upset. "Is this not helping? You could speak up.."

 No.7169

>>7167
There are no stately temples of marble columns in this small town. They must not have a shrine.

 No.7170

>>7168
"Even if it works, that'll scare away kids. We only want to stop adults from coming in!"

 No.7171

>>7164
That's the Bug town…
I need to check the food prices in town. Prices of Fresh water, lemonade, Poffins, that sort of thing. Alternatives to the potions I've got a very short supply of.
Rolling for luck. '1d10'

Roll #1 7 = 7

 No.7172

>>7171
There's only one shop in town, and it sells odd and ends. No vending machines.

 No.7173

>>7169
Considering the nautre of fairies.

Check my party. If Kala's with me, swap him our for Dovoi the cottonee. If not, then he's already with me and let him out.

 No.7174

>>7172
No food shops, then? Or does that fall under odds and ends? I'll look around.

 No.7175

>>7170
"Okay, then." Toward Kingsley I'll say. "Don't make it so scary! Stick with normal signs."

 No.7176

>>7173
You head to the PC and swap your mons.

>>7174
The odds 'n' ends shop has an elderly man behind the counter who seems a little crotchity. They sell sweet honey and sap here, in addition to berry juice, Pokeballs and potions.

>>7175
He probably heard that. Maybe you should leave the artist to his work and check back later.

 No.7177

>>7176
Let Dovoi out.

"Find anything particularly interesting?"

 No.7178

>>7176
Berry juice is good. I wonder how long it keeps…
"Pardon me, sir, but can I ask how well the berry juice holds up to long travel times?"

 No.7179

>>7176
Yea. I'll just have to do some exploring. Go to the road and look for any interesting objects near the trees. '1d10'

Roll #1 1 = 1

 No.7180

Kenneth
Since last time, that girl split. People have come and gone as you've camped on the side of the road.

>>7177
Dovoi gives you a blank look before floating aimlessly about the Pokecenter.

>>7178
"It's berry juice! Just keep it closed and it'll be fine."

>>7179
You watch some grass grow. It wasn't very fun.

 No.7181

>>7180
"And how much does it go for, sir?"

 No.7182

>>7176
Still at the shrine?

 No.7183

>>7175
"Oh, I gotcha. Sorry, I was focusing so much on Leo's technique. It is downright out of this world."

"If you have stuff ready, I can make you your signs. But what we're doing here isn't scary! It's artistic, showing the desperation of the masses and the skills of Leo. Besides, it makes it look a bit more, uninhabited, I guess. Nothing to do here but mark it up, people have no reason to venture forth. Does its job, doesn't it?"

 No.7184

>>7181
"500P."

>>7182
Yessir.

>>7183
"Um, no, we don't want to keep kids out, just adults. Pay attention!"

 No.7185

>>7184
Eesh.
"And the potions are…?"

 No.7186

>>7184
"But that's what it does. All the cool kids will come by and want to paint over here, and the adults won't want to come to such an empty place. With no adults, kids won't have to worry about getting in trouble for marking an area that's already marked up, so you can go ahead and invite your friends too."

 No.7187

>>7185
"Just 250P."

 No.7188

>>7186
He squints his eyes at you. "Teenagers are practically adults in my book. I don't think the fairies will like it."

 No.7189

>>7188
"If they're here to paint, they're here to have a great time by themselves or friends. No adults, no rules, just them and a canvas."

Try to hold back the tears.

"It's so pure. Pure, un-adulterated fun. Aren't those the types of kids you want coming here."

Point at Smeargle.

"And see, it's not just us, our Pokehomies like painting too. Why don't you give your Pokes a brush and let them try."

 No.7190

>>7187
"Could I have two potions and one berry juice, please?"
This will reduce my 1000p to zero.

 No.7191

>>7180
"Somewhere with a strong trainer? A large concentration of fairies? "

Let's go out of the pokecenter to look

Roll #1 9 = 9

 No.7192

>>7190
"Here ya go."

Got goods.

>>7189
"Stop taking this not seriously!"

>>7191
There isn't much in this city. One Pokecenter, one daycare, and four houses. It is an exceptionally small place. There's not even a shop here as far as you can tell.

 No.7193

>>7192
"Thanks!"
Right… if I want to keep my team ahead of what the shrine challenges are, then I'll need to hit the gyms to make sure I know what I'm doing. Plus, everyone will get stronger that way.
I'll head out of the store, and pull up my map. Need to plot my next course of action.

 No.7194

>>7192
Honestly, this is what I get for dealing with kids. But they are just kids and we've already painted most of the area.

"Alright, alright. Do you guys have the sign stuff ready? I can work on those, but I'm counting on you guys to put them where they're supposed to go. How's that?"

 No.7195

 No.7198

>>7195
"Yup, I'm gonna help you keep those pesky adults away, no worries. Closed roads, Dugtrio cave warnings, Golem avalanches, even a few construction signs. So authentic, all the adults will bail without really thinking about it. The nice Officer ladies who pass by will make sure of that too."

 No.7199

>>7197
There we go. Wonder what that was all about…
Hmm.
Alright, so I think I'll head south to Fandango, then towards Mint. But first, I'll swap out Pillbug for Vivi. She'll help keep me safe on the poison road, along with Lucas and his immunity to poison thanks to his steel typing.
So! South we go.

 No.7200

>>7198
"Alright… Stay put then."

The kid disappears over the barricade for a few minutes and returns with a few wooden signs. They're old and pillaged stuff like shop signs. Looks like they don't have anything metal here.

>>7199
You put Pillbug in the box and get out Vivi. Roll to traverse.

So where do all the kids sleep?
Seriously?

Keep looking around.

 No.7203

>>7200
"This actually works really well. Official signs have official reasons, which might lead people to ask questions. With these, it'll look like a good samaritan did a civic duty. But that doesn't mean I won't try to make them look good."

Let's get to work on those. I only need a little to make them look decent.

"Oh, but I'm going to need you to help make them look authentic. If I make road signs, put lots of branches and stuff on the road so people don't try to clear it themselves. Make them look like they really belong."

 No.7204

>>7202
Presumably in the four houses and the daycare. This city doesn't exactly scream high population. It's around thirty people total.

You feel quite alone in this tiny country town. It is totally alien to the cramped Amber City, which boasts a population of thousands.

>>7201
They don't go so well.

You're confronted by a greathorde of Combee.

They look pretty official. You even do some layering to make them look a little aged instead of fresh.

>>7208
Well the fact that you're just yelling "Search!" at him probably isn't helping. You barely know Dovoi. He grows bored of your meaningless shouting and tends to a nearby patch of browning grass.

The lithe, tall man you met in the temple is indeed still there.

The Vanilla City hospital is actually where the Pokemon Center is. The center is built into the side of it. He used his own move to win, rather than just relying on your commands. If you want to become truly equal partners, and bond to your fullest… you have to learn to trust in one another. Realize that as a Trainer you need to understand your Pokemon and trust their instincts as much as your own. For bonding with your Dovoi and winning fairly in battle, I award you this: The Magic Badge. Come to think of it – that tree that fell on you was cut!!

The name comes from a legend that at the very deepest part of the cave, a dragon once lived, perhaps driven out by the local fairies. Please promise me you'll never go down there without my guidance. And your Pokemon are still developing, to go in now would be a suicide mission."

His description does indeed match that gnarled maw. Normally a cavern such as that would be too dark to see a thing in, but the Carbink gave off a faint glow with their luminous gemstones.
