The madness of Chaos has taken a toll on their sanity, and they are currently at:
Sol 43
Freke 37

Gaius 31
Dawn 45

No.50840

>>50815
You charge up a fireball and hurl it at the draconequus. He blocks the worst of it with his arm and gazes at you with his remaining eye. You feel a bit weak and lose 2 SAN
You can hear some kooky sounds in your head.
>>50816
As his gaze is focused on Campfire, you charge in from a blind spot and once more swing your hammer into him. The resulting blast sends the massive monster flying into the crater left by your previous attack. Without his wings, he lands hard.
>>50818
As he attempts to struggle back up, you fly in and sink your blades into his remaining eye, blinding him.
He screams in pain and throws you away from him, then scurries onto all fours.
>>50819
Before he can get upright, you see an opening and strike at the burnt arm. You can hear bone shatter and flesh tare before the Lord of Chaos recoils away from you.
>>50822
Calmly observing the situation that unfolds before you, you focus your divine rage and let it guide your shot.
The blessed round slams into the wounded arm with impossible precision, severing it.
Discord reels back and then regains his footing. Bloodied and furious, he turns to face you
>>50824
Before the Lord of Chaos can get a word off, you burst into song. You didn't even know you could sing so well, let alone that you could sound like a full choir on your own.
The sheer magnitude of your performance grants +2 to all rolls next round.
Discord is now blind, and all attacks against him are at +2.

"Let's even the odds a little, SHALL WE?"
Discord casts Enemy Within.
You can feel his claws strike at each of your hearts as he extracts your darkest fears and allows them to manifest in physical form.

You can no longer see your friends around you.
Before each of you is a monster constructed of your inner most fears.
Dawn faces Radiant, who has chosen her duty over her sister
Radiant faces Celestia, the death puppet of Twilight Sparkle
Aenoi faces The Abomination, a collection of ponies he saw die
Campfire faces The Unbound Flame, his own Elemental form gone mad
Gaius faces Nightmare Wing
Neith faces Herself. Smiling.

"Again? I grow tire of these attempts, be they true or illusion! How many times must I prove myself a worthy jailer!"

I use Blast dead center on the apparition.

Rolled 9 + 4 = 13

No.50870

>>50845
You vanish into thin air and reappear behind your fake sister
Before it can even say a word, you sink your blades deep into it, causing it to vanish in a shrill puff.
The madness around you fades away, revealing the familiar battlefield
>>50847
The abomination lumbers towards you, rotting limbs and festering wounds flailing around as it advances.
As it reaches you, you focus your divine power and let loose a mighty blast. The abomination is torn apart by the force of the blast, bits of corpses flying everywhere before they vanish.
You are back where you should be - fighting Discord.
>>50851
Driven by the mad rage of a mare scorned, you leap across the skies and land your hammer squarely on the laughing necromancer's head. The young pony explodes inside out in a gory shower, the hammer driving her head deep into her lower abdomen before stopping.
Celestia screams and crumbles, then both of them vanish, revealing Discord and the others as you left them.
>>50852
You allow your Avatar Form to disappear as the raging inferno of an alicorn walks up to you. Its voice is like a torrential fire and its breath like scalding steam, yet you stare it squarely in the eye and then slam its head into the ground with your shield. You are in control here. You are the master, and fire is your servant. As the false flame explodes and vanishes, you regain your avatar form and realize Discord is still where you left him.
>>50858
And worthy you are. You meat the Nightmare mid-leap and strike it, shattering the shadowy beast into a thousand shredded fragments. They burn up and vanish, revealing Discord and the others.
>>50855
The other you just keeps smiling, then it walks over to you and gives you a friendly hug.
Roll 1d10 for SAN loss, then try to fight it again.

You are all back at the battlefield, and ready to face Discord in round three. Save for Neith, who seems to be frozen in terror, or possibly disgust.

No.50887

>>50870
I glare at Discord, seething.

"If you are so desperate to see me use this black power, then you will be first to taste it! Let's see if it truly does take a monster to kill a monster!"

I activate Last Stand as I reach down and grab hold of the Nightmare Soul, bending it to my will as I attack.

Rolled 8 + 2 = 10

No.50889

Am I around?

No.50894

>>50875
You push it away and it falls over
It seems to be helpless
You feel an external force helping you
>>50876
It works! The draconequus is blind now! Wait no… he already was blind.
>>50877
Your fervor burns out, but your last stand keeps you standing. You leap at the draconequus, but he gazes at you with his empty, mangled face.
You lose 2d10 Sanity, but are not helpless
>>50882
After shaking proves useless, you just smack her instead. Neith snaps out of it. She can fight Discord the next round as normal.
She did get smacked in a nasty way though.
>>50883
Your massive flame breath knocks the Lord of Chaos back, and he struggles to remain standing, shielding himself with his remaining arm.
>>50887
You feel a horrible hungering inside your heart as you vomit out the dark tendrils of the Nightmare Soul. They grasp at you, clawing at your skin and eyes before they wrap tightly around you, constricting you as they form into a shadowy skin that covers your body. But you bite down and endure the pain. For you are the master, and it is the slave. You have become Nightmare Wing, Lord of Nightmares.
>>50889
And then Freke falls from the sky.
He takes 2d10 SAN damage for his rather inexplicable entrance, but can fight as normal next round.

>>50896
You weave into the Lord of Chaos and barely duck under his blind counter attack. You cut into his tail, wounding it.
>>50898
You focus your inner fire and manifest a notable flame. As you hurl it at the bloodied draconequus, he slinks away from, only burning some of his tail.
>>50906
However, as he flees, Freke freezes him on the spot, his icy grasp jamming the Lord's legs solid
>>50900
As Discord struggles to free himself, Nightmare Wing catches him off guard. Nearly his equal in power even at full strength, the dark griffon overpowers Discord with ease, pushing him down and rending apart the already damaged tail.
>>50901
As Discord wrestles with Nightmare Wing, you land one more massive blow to its head, cracking the skull and destroying both his horns.
>>50904
The Inquisitor feels the various cuts on her knit shut and several dark bruises vanish. She is thankful, even if she won't show it.

"ENOUGH!"
Discord blasts all of you back away from him
"I AM THE LORD OF CHAOS! YOU ARE SIMPLE MORTALS! THERE IS NO WAY I WILL ALLOW YOU TO WIN! NOW DANCE! DANCE THE DANCE OF MADNESS!
He unleashes the full might of Chaos upon you. The landscape itself twists and screams as it bends into impossible shapes. The sky melts and becomes mixed with the ground. The rock and soil boils and bubbles, then hardens into shapes it cannot possibly maintain.
The air screams obscenities at you and time time you the finger.
"WHERE ARE YOUR CHEERFUL SONGS NOW? WHERE IS YOUR CONFIDENCE AND BRAVERY? YOU ARE NOTHING BEFORE ME. YOU ARE NOTHING BEFORE CHAOS! NOTHING!"
You all take 3d10 SAN damage
By the looks of things, Discord is almost dead.

Your mind is tired and in pain, but you muscle ever onwards. There is madness within and without, but it is of little concern. You must win.
YOU MUST WIN.

The nightmare you wield is far stronger than any trick or deception the Lord of Chaos has to throw at you. Your mind is yours and yours alone!
>>50915
Everything is going dark and dim. You can see streaks of blood flowing through the land and sky. The world screams and you scream in tune with it. Your mind is being assaulted with a hundred sharp, shrieking daggers. The pain is incredible. But you contain it. You must keep yourself sane. You are slipping. You are slipping. You must keep yourself sane. You are sane. YOU ARE STILL SANE.

You lower the Harmony Conduit on level with Discord, the Lord of Chaos, first of the Dark Gods, Master of Madness, Deity of Deception. His mangled and shattered face still has enough life left to convey the sheer terror in his heart as his true form comes face to face with mortality.
Twice before his avatar has faced death. But only now does he truly fear it.
The party grins. Freke shouts out a really cheesy name for the attack as you unleash it. Shaped by his words, the harmony beam focuses into a drill-like sword that smashes through the body of the once-mighty Draconequus. The power of harmony made manifest twists through him, contorting his broken body and rending a massive hole through it before enveloping him and exploding violently, destroying a large part of the Garden of Chaos behind him.
>>51003
Aenoi, being awesome, walks away slowly.
He also puts on some sunglasses.

After the light fades away, Discord is no more. All that remains is a strange semi-transparent orb of light that twists and bends around itself in an endless motion.
The Garden of Chaos is a blasted ruin. The trees burned away, the floating islands crashing down, the impossible hills and canyons flattening into a plain field.

Twilight Sparkle cautiously makes her way forth
"T-Tambelon is inhabited by those who gave themselves to Grogar in life, either to subvert their mortality, or to simply save themselves from the oblivion of true death."

This bell supposedly suppresses Grogar's otherwise vast magical powers. Also, an old story tells of a traitor who Grogar cast into his darkest dungeon for a deed so foul not even the story dares mention it. Studying some old maps has lead me to believe that old dungeon might be accessible via a hidden passage somewhere in the city itself."

Wouldn't you like to see something strange?

Come with us, oh please come on
To our town of Tambelon

This is Tambelon, this is Tambelon
The damned scream in the dead of night

This is Tambelon, from where we can never move on
Trick or treat till the neighbors gonna die of fright
It's our town, everybody scream
In this town of Halloween

Tambelon! Tambelon! Tambelon! Tambelon!
In this town we call home
Everyone hail to the ded pone song

In this town, don't we love it now?
Everybody's waiting for the next surprise

Are you scared?
Well, that's just fine
Say it once, say it twice
Take a chance and roll the dice
Rhyme with the moon and the dead tonight

In this town
Don't we love it now?
Everybody's waiting for the next surprise

The Lord of Death might end your breath
Claim your soul and
Make you jump out of your skin
This is Tambelon, everyone scream
Wont' ya please stay away from that creepy hand guy

Ol' Grabby lives at the bottom of the well
Gone grab you by the mane and drag you down to hell

This is Tambelon, this is Tambelon
Tambelon! Tambelon! Tambelon! Tambelon!
In this town we call home
