Starswirls
gives the potion to the unicorn at the center of the ring. He breathes
deep, then drinks it. For a moment, nothing happens. Then the unicorn
falls over, convulsing and screaming. It starts foaming at the mouth,
blocking out the noise. It tries to get up and starts heaving heavily.
"KEEP IT DOWN!"
The
unicorn looks at Starswirls. The Timewarden's face is one of solid
determination. He nods, and the unicorn swallows again, then collapses
once more and starts kicking wildly. It grasps at its throat and stomach
as its eyes roll over backwards, bloodshot and dilated.
It then lays still. It is ded.
For a while, nothing happens.

The
Unicorn's body implodes into a portal. A horrible, twisted limb claws
its way out. It is thin as a twig. You can easily see bones and muscle
twisting inside it under the thin, pale, hairless skin. Several writhing
tentacles grow from the hoof, which itself is set at an impossible,
broken angle.
Shortly thereafter, another limb follows, and then a
head. It is similar is size to a pony's, but flat as a melon. The eyes
are horrible, almost nonexistent beads. The snout is short and
miniscule. The mouth not as horrible but still tiny. It has no ears,
only gross holes on the sides of the skull. Its mane is short and it
does not look like a real mane at all.
As the horrible creature claws
its way out of the portal fully, you can see the rest of the body is
also a thin, elongated horror. It is wearing some clothes, but has no
tail. The back hooves seem all wrong as well. Most horribly, the knees
bend the wrong way.

Beyonder focuses its tiny eyes on the Timewarden, then slumps its
massively tall form down to look him eye to eye. You cannot help but
cringe as you see those knees actually bend. They look like they should
be horribly broken, not working as intended.
Starswirls clears his throat
"What is your name?"
The Beyonder looks around, then pats Starswirls on the head

"It is good to see you again, friend"
Starswirls then turns to the party
