Welcome one, welcome all.
It's time for MLPGDNDRPG's New Players Only game!

I hope your bodies are ready
Latest rules can be found here: http://pastebin.com/66SXJuKP

Six slots as always, new players only. If you've already done this in the past please make room for those who want to try it out.

Please post
-name
-race
-class
-alignment
-weapon
-cutie mark / special talent
-any notable person items
-spells, if a mage
Then put NAME and [CLASS] in the name field to help me know who is doing what.

First come first served, we start when the slots are full.

Oh fuck yes
How do we multi-class? We only do it if the DM lets us?

When you multi class you get one ability from each class.
That's it.
>>
>>1966570
Come on now, you'll enjoy it.
Even I was scared for the first time, and it was tons of fun.
Except for the part when I got canonically ugly
We've played enough, I'm just here to watch new players have fun.

>>
>>1966557
You get one ability from both classes.
It will be expanded in 0.10.1 with actual class explanations.
For example Dark Knights have learned how to move silently in full plate, and Lifebinders are usually more about resurrection/mortality subversion than smiting and death bolts.

Outlines man outlines. They are giving way too much contrast with colors you've used. Either color them in darker colors than color around (darker yellow, pink and green) or just make them black.

Last time our Knight left mid game and we came up with something for that, and Nasse fell asleep, so yeah, you can play.

It is a dark time for Equestria. The dragon migrations have been disrupted by the return of an old, evil dragon called Ironhide. Imprisoned by Celestia with the aid of countless dragons and unicorns, this monstrous beast threatened to wipe out dragonkind in the past. After the spell binding it down was broken, it returned to finish the job. The dragons, seeking roosting ground outside their usual territory have been forced into conflict with other races over land. To make things worse, Ironhide seems to be headed for Canterlot, possibly for revenge.

Many heroes have been called up to aid in fighting the beast, and through great effort many truths from the past have been found. Ironhide was once a knight named Valiance, a pony who wanted to end the dragons' threat to Canterlot. After he was cast out by Celestia for his reckless and dangerous methods, he turned to Tirek, the evil Lord of Midnight for power. Cursed to become a dragon himself, Valiance went mad, or possibly was simply under an illusion, thinking he had simply gained great power which he used to attack the dragons.

This knowledge burdens Celestia greatly and she has made some heavy decisions on the issue.
While many of her champions still rest after their last adventure, a few have been called to join another group for a special mission.

You gather at a meeting hall in Canterlot Castle. Celestia will arrive shorty. Please, introduce yourselves to your new comrades. Tell your stories and how you made it here.

As our heroes exchange tales of their past deeds, the doors to the hall open and Celestia arrives.
She is visibly stressed, her regal form failing to hide her tired gait. Managing a kingdom under crisis has taken its toll on the goddess.

Following Celestia a group of six guards arrive. With them, a cloaked figure in chains.
They make room around him and you can see that he is a goat. Not very old but seemingly very worn down by hardship. He is skinny and looks frail, his eyes a curious mix of furious determination and deep regret.

Celestia tells you that this particular goat has lingered in the castle dungeons for years for his crimes. He is a necromancer and once tried to usurp land for himself by raising a dead noble and forcing him to hand the land over.
Now he will serve as an instrumental part of Celestia's plan to stall Ironhide. While the Canterlot archivists and scholars work to discover a counter to Tirek's curse of darkness, Celestia seeks to bring in an old ally.

You are to take this necromancer to the Canterlot Catacombs, the Necroponelis, and seek out the final resting place of Gracious Glory, Valiance's commander, mentor and father figure from four centuries ago. If nothing else, Gracious Glory could give advice on how to face Valiance, having taught him. Even better is the possibility that Valiance might hesitate attacking his old mentor as openly.

Do you wish to speak with the Necromancer?
Ask more about Gracious Glory?
Inquire about where your other comrades are?
Just go straight to the catacombs?
>>
>>1967811

>>
>>1967811
Celestia, Your Grace, I beg your pardon for questioning you, but are you sure this is the right way?
Resolving to such... Evil acts, creating an abomination, and denying Gracious Glory of his rest in the afterlife?
Even looking at that heretic goat makes me want to spit...
Please, my Princess, are you sure there is no other way?
If you command me I will, but taking part in such a hienous act against nature and all that is Holy...
>>
>>1967811
Well I don't know who Max is or whether or not raised beings will be in their right minds, I don't know about that stuff. Do we really think Gracious Glory will be in any state to cooperate? Does the necromancer even want to? Sure this is his chance to get out and do things but he might turn on us, we should speak with his ass

>>
>>1967832
>>1967838
Max has been very quiet and introspective ever since he returned to Canterlot, seemingly seeking answers to his inner turmoil from meditation and reasoning.
The others are resting, feeling worn out by the events atop and below Midnight Peak.
Noise, the young dragon ambassador, is working with the scholars to find more outlying dragon groups she can contact and unite.
>>1967875
>>1967851
>>1967910
The Necromancer tells you it is his deepest wish to make amends for his past misdeeds. He wishes his services to Celestia here will be penance enough to absolve him in her eyes. He says he has forsaken his evil god Grogar, but can still wield his spells as readily as ever when needed.
>>1967878
Celestia muses for a while, mentioning that Gracious Glory used to often say that duty only ever ends in death. But these are extraordinary circumstances if anything ever will be. He should understand that when his princess calls for him for one final act of service, it is his duty to serve one final time.
She then says your faith is admirable. It is the very same fire that burned in the belly of Gracious Glory that made him such a hero in his time. Perhaps you shall indeed get far in life.

Ask for more info?

>>1968013

We all know this feel burning man.
>>
>>1967978
It's the rolling mechanic
When checking to see if you managed to do something, like attack an enemy or convince someone, the last number of your post tells how well it went.

0 - Critical failure. You failed horribly and everything went wrong.
1-4 - Failure. Your plan did not work.
5-8 - Success. You managed to do what you were doing
9 - Critical Success. You succeeded unreasonably well.

Multiples of 0 or 9 lead to multicrits, which have even stronger effects.

666 sometimes has special effects, but not always.
>>
>>1968020
It's probably because most of the players are veterans so to speak.
If there had been 5 new players he wouldn't have even mentioned the others.

I walk up to the Necromancer and order him to swear that he won't betray us in the presence of Celestia herself, or perish when he does.
Try to sound as threatening as I can.
I think I can only become fallen if there would be a truly Faith shattering moment or if I did something and Celestia herself said that I'm unworthy to be a paladin of Her.
>>
>>1968113
I ask nothing. I'm ready to head to the catacombs.
>>
>>1968171
I don't think I need any meddling guards to give me more targets to shoot, sister.
>>
>>1968182
You're really not very talkative, are you?
>>
>>1968113
>>1968141
And some balm in case of burns.
>>
>>1968213
Oh leave him alone he is focused on his task.
>>
>>1968252
This guy is going to rape us with fire.
>>
Is there a pastebin of the previous adventures?
>>
>>1968213
I was a night guard. There isn't that many ponies to talk to in the front door of some noble house. Just the nite sky to keep me company. More keen in getting the job done then some horseplaying.
>>
>>1968271
Only the dead horses I think.
>>
>>1968141
Celestia motions to one of the guards and he leaves. The antidotes will be waiting for you at the catacomb gates.
>>1968171
Celestia refuses. The death cult of Ironhide is still a very real threat, and she cannot spare guards right now. Nothing should be down there to fight anyway, and you outnumber the chained necromancer six to one even if he does do something.
>>1968177
He whimpers and lowers himself on the floor, his chains coiling around him. He swears he only wishes to redeem himself and serve Celestia. He does not like what he has been tasked to do, but he will not question the princess.

Celestia then states she must leave. The guards will take you to the catacomb gates.
Faff around more?
Finally go?

>>1968271
No, but they are in the archive.
>>
>>1968269
No one purpose, but I haven't rolled higher than a 2 so far so things might get hot.
>>
>>1968271
In the rules pastebin, the threads are linked on the bottom
>>1968252
Try not to burn us, will you?

>>1968273
Ah, I see.
Can't wait to see you on the Battlefield.
>>
>>1968292
Let's go.

>>1968295
*Not on purpose
>>
>>1968292
Let's go then.
>>
>>1968292
Lets do this.
>>
>>1968292
Bow down to the Princess and say a Farewell to him, until next time.
We can go now, but before that, I lean close to the Necromancer and say I'm keeping a close eye on him, and if he tries anything there won't be anything to save him from the Holy Light that I will unleash on him in the form of my hammer.
>>
>>1968292
Lets head out.

>>1968300
I am sure I would be the first to die.
>>
>>1968300
No promises.
>>
>>1968017
Oh shit you wanted me to check? Do I just say, "I check"? It isn't me who gets to say though right? it's the DM isn't it? how does shit like that work?
>>
>>1968333
You must have misunderstood me, I want to see you by my side in Battle, not against me, noble Knight.
>>
>>1968357
Well, you say "I roll to check the Necromancer for evil", and the number will tell if it was succesful or not.
You can make rolls to almost anything.
I once rolled to Friendzone, for one.
You state your actions, and the numbers decide their outcome.
>>
>>1968357
You just say you roll to check. Or that you roll to Detect Evil. Or word it more verbosely.

>7
Your spell is a success. It seems the Necromancer is telling the truth. There are no apparent signs of evil in him.
>>
>>1968365
I know. What I meant was that I would be betting I would die first among this group.
>>
>>1968377
>You can make rolls to almost anything.
This isn't FATAL
>>
>>1968382
I won't let that happen.
I can shield you with the Protecting Light of Celestia herself, and I bet our Cleric can take care of our wounds if we get any, but Her Highness said there is nothing to be afraid of down there.
>>
Worry not, I've got my keen eye on the necromancer as firmly as on the paladin's flank
Celestia's cutie mark gives me power
>>
Poor necromancer, Radiant is going all inquisition on his ass. Can't wait to see what twist(s) await you.
>>
>>1968418
You are staring at armor only. You drew her yourself you half-wit.

>>1968427
On the first sing of betrayal or evil I'll Smite him down like there is no tomorrow.
>>
You are taken to the gates of the Necroponelis. A guard awaits you there with a little care package from Celestia. Antidotes for everyone, a few torches, more manageable shackles for the prisoner and a description of Gracious Glory's tomb along with a biography on him.

The guards remove the chains on the prisoner and put the lighter ones on him. He can walk along unhindered but cannot run or jump. You can stop him by yanking the leash chain at any time.

They say that once you are inside they will close the gates to make sure nobody sneaks in to rob the graves.
>>
>>1968427
I bet he'll revive the entire catacombs
>>
>>1968441
I know, I'm looking at celestia's cutie mark embroidered into your armour.
Like I said.

>>1968443
I'll grab the prisoner and take the lead.
>>
>>1968443
Well lets light this toch and walk in.
>>
>>1968443
Do I have to roll for doing an action related to my cutie mark?

If so I roll the light the torches once we are inside and they have been handed out.
>>
>>1968443
Zai, you should go on the front, Trusty and Campfire will cover you.
I'll make sure the Necromancer won't do anything he might regret and keep him on a short leash.
Shake and Dawn, you cover our backs.
Let's go.
>>
>>1968443
>>1968473
Okay then, but I have no sense of direction or the wayabout of this catacombs.
>>
>>1968473
Look, princess Bitch is all commandy again.
I think the tracker should take the lead since I, you know, try to find the track!
>>
>>1968493
>>1968485
Okay, the Tracker will lead, Zai, make sure to cover him from any danger.
He is prone to get in trouble.
>>
>>1968504
I'm also known for getting out of it, thank you very much.
>>
>>1968517
And leaving us in it.
>>
>>1968504
I'm on it. Lead on, Trusty.
>>
>>1968517
000
>>
>>1968473
alright. shit I didn't know what to do for a little bit there
>>
>>1968520
I think you're thinking of the goat bard and the necromancer now.
>>
>>1968536
Well lets just walk they usually take the first hits.
>>
>>1968536
You can start by Blessing us with your buffs.
>>
The party heads down into the dry darkness. The guards say that the gates cannot be opened from the inside, but there will be guards on the outside so all you need to do is say the password - "Only in death does duty end" and they will open up. For a moment everything goes dark as the heavy stone gates close, then torches illuminate the surroundings.
The catacombs are very dry and surprisingly warm. There is plenty of air too. Checking the map you realize the catacombs are shaped like the sun and a crescent moon. You are standing in the moon part, with the Tomb of Heroes located at the center of the sun.
To your left is the hall of the holy
To your right the hall of soldiers
You may go either way.
>>
>>1968562
The way of the holy.
>>
>>1968562
The way of the Holy.

>>1968573
You dropped your name
>>
>>1968579
Woops
>>
>>1968562
I give my map to whoever is going to be in the lead.
>>
>>1968562
The hall of the holy.
>>
>>1968594
>>1968562
I'll take the map and my best to navigate this hall.
>>
>>1968552
what the fuck can a representative of Pinkie Pie do for you?
>>
>>1968625
Buff Morale?
>>
>>1968625
Buff morale ofc.
>>
>>1968562
well everyone is saying holy lets go
>>
>>1968625
Aura of Courage?
>>
>>1968632
>>1968634
okay sure, lets have a party real quick
this thing says I can heal and cure poison, but you guys grabbed a bunch of antidotes too right?
>>
>>1968663
We did, just as a precaution, yes.
>>
>>1968663
Each of us has one from Celestia.
>>
>>1968663
You can also heal our wounds.
>>
>>1968678
yeah i said heal, but lets then you got antidotes, no time to fuck around with a party
down the holy hall and take a right?
>>
>>1968705
Yes.
>>
>>1968625
Smile. smile smile

The party heads left into the hall of the holy. The map indicates the hall should form a smooth crescent ending at a main gate leading to one of the sun's rays which houses the most worthy of Canterlot's guards.
However there seem to be at least three exits in this place, two of which do not appear on the map. They must be later additions.

As you trek through the hall you occasionally stop to read some of the tomb dedications.
>Moonshine, cleric of Luna, blesser of the night
>Donkeytraea the sufferer, cleric of Celestia, easer of disease
>Craghorn, first of the Lifebinders
>Smile the animate, preacher of Pinkie Pie, bringer of joy
The prisoner raises his head as he passes the third tomb, paying notable attention to it.
>>
>>1968740
We should blind him or just cover his eyes with something.
>>
>>1968740
What is it, scum?
Don't you try anything stupid.
>>
>>1968740
Ask the necromancer kindly what got his attention.
>>
>>1968705
i meant to say lets go, damn missing words
>>1968740
well say 'hey man, what with that lifebinder guy?'
>>
>>1968740
Ask the goat if Craghorn is a relativeof his.
>>
>>1968771
"You damn knave, is that a relative of yours? Don't go fooling around with me!"

>>
>>1968825
You're just aching to cause trouble and carnage again, aren't you?
>>
>>1968760
>>1968771
>>1968775
I remember hearing of Craghorn back in my darker days. The others, even the elders spoke highly of him. As if he were more than any of us could hope to become. He was seen as an ascendant.
What I find so strange is to find him dead. He was always spoken of as if he were immortal. Even stranger is to find his final resting place beneath Canterlot. I always assumed that he, like us, was a follower of Grogar. Could he have been a servant of Celestia? Perhaps even a penitent like me?
>>
>>1968839
You should learn from him goatmancer.
>>
>>1968839
Lifebinder sounds like a nice way of saying Necromancer. I vote we check out his tomb real quick.
>>
>>1968839
That's a load of crap and you know it.
Now let me find the right track for us to go...rolling
>>
>>1968839
Guess we'll never know what happened, you traitorous rat.
Now stop stalling and go.
>>
>>1968862
The group leader isn't obligated to follow my lead, of course
>>
>>1968861
We won't disturb any of the tombs out of curiousity, especially not with a Necromancer around.

>>1968862
GOD DOMMOT NOSSO
>>
>>1968839
Lets head out.

>>1968861
That is a bit disrespectful.
>>
>>1968839
I say we raise him and get him to take out the dragon guy for good
>>
>>1968862
Yep. That door on the left looks like the way to go. It must be a shortcut. Such a cool one they didn't mark it on the map.
>>1968874
Yes sir. I wish no trouble.
>>
>>1968896
Call me a sir again and I'll break your legs.
>>
>>1968885
>>1968891
But if was really a famous Necromancer then he is probably just sleeping in there, not dead.
>>
>>1968895
Im going to follow the cleric for a while!
I NEED 5 MINUTES BE RIGHT BACK
>>
>>1968909
I burst into laughter.
>>
>>1968909
HAHAHAHAHA
>>
>>1968911
You are thinking of a lich.

>>1968896
Tell the goat I would not harm him and no need to be afraid.
>>
>>1968919
>>1968926
I give everyone the most dangerous look I can.
>>
>>1968909
>9
You manage to sound very ladylike. The prisoner is convinced you are a very pretty mare on the inside
>>1968919
>9
The laughter pierces her soul
>>
>>1968936
>6
not enough to thwart my laughter of 9, sir!
>>
>>1968896
take no unmarked shortcuts you want to be killed?! fall into a pit or some shit
>>
There are now five places you can venture

The hall of guards
The two unknown exits
The tombs themselves
or back to the lobby and into the Hall of Soldiers
>>
>>1968944
Guess you'll just stay in the friendzone a while longer.
>>
>>1968936
I giggle at you trying to act tough.
>>
>>1968958
I poke my head into the tomb of Craghorn.
>>
>>1968959
One day!
>>1968958
Let's just go to the hall of guards if it takes us closer.
>>
>>1968914
hey buddy, I thought you were a gal
>>
>>1968964
>>1968974
Where did my name go?
>>
>>1968958
Hall of guards. I would like to avoid anything not mark in the current map unless we could find a recent map within these catacombs.
>>
>>1968958
Tracker, which way to the Final Tomb?
I don't like it, but I guess we have to rely on his skills down here...

>>1968974
I bite your clothes and drag you away.
I said no poking around things we don't know about.
>>
>>1969005
Jokes on you, I'm naked. No point on wearing clothes when a fumbled fireball is just going to set them on fire.
>>
>>1969019
I bite your tail then.
>>
>>1969005
My tracking skill's been working just fine this far, your holiness.
It must be that I was cursed by a zigger when I was young to have the most horrible of lucks.
>>
>>1969032
Fine, be that way.
>>
>>1968974
There are statues adorning the sides of the room. They depict a unicorn with a large, jagged horn, most likely Craghorn.
Each statue is different, but they share similar elements. Craghorn is depicted raising the dead, and rising from the ground himself. There is a stairwell that leads deeper, most likely to his actual remains.
You are dragged off by Radiant before you can see more.
>>1968975
>>1968996
You ignore the other exits and head on to the Hall of Guards. It is larger than the map implies. The map, in addition to being old, must not be to scale. There are several levels to the hall, each wall lined with small tombs, like watchhouses. Most likely each housing a notable guard.
You hear some rocks tumbling on the lower level.

Investigate?
Proceed deeper?
Blindly blame the prisoner?
>>
>>1969084
Proceed, but keep an eye out behind us.
>>
>>1969084
Trusty, I belive you have an enchanted Spyglass.
Can you tell us if there is anything down there?
Then proceed slowly.
>>
>>1969084
It was you wasn'nit?
God damn necromancer goats, you can never trust one, why I oughta slap yo-
Fine I'll investigate
>>
>>1969084
Investigate. Catacomb don't just tumble by themselves.
>>
>>1969119
I warn trusty to wait until we are outside of the tomb before antagonizing the Necromancer.
>>
>>1969136
It'll be too late then, you bloody...what was your gender again?
>>
>>1969084
>>1969105
I'll fall behind I guess, watch your asses wherever you decide to go. Apparently I'm terrible at making decisions
>>
>>1969146
I know he is a guy, but I'm not sure about everyone else
>>
>>1969119
No doubt. There is someone down there in the darkness. Whoever it is it moves fast and wears a robe of some sort. It knows you are here, but it does not know that you know it is here.
>>1969135
You can confirm the sighting. You are not alone here. And that was no rat. Or moss.
>>1969105
Luckily, nothing seems to be creeping up on you. Yet.
>>1969160
>0
You fail horribly at falling behind. You are right there next to the others.
>>
>>1969160
Oh come on now, you are way better at making decisions that Trusty.
>>
>>1968976
Im a pretty mare.

>>1969084
Ok back.
Investigate.
>>
>>1969179
Well I'll throw the shackles at the paladin and ready my crossbow.
>>1969180
your words fail to impress me, your holiness.
>>
>>1969179
Oh shit, we have company
>>
>>1969179
Get ready because they come.
>>
>>1969179
I would prepare my hammer, just in case.

>>1969171
I am a colt.
>>
>>1969179
I roll to hit the floor in front of it with a grease spell.

Oh boy here we go!

>>1969171

I also got some scars because of Trusty.

>>1969212
Having seen nothing, he insists he has no idea what the commotion is about

>>
>>1969278

>>
>>1969256
Your bolt strikes him in the knee, bringing his escape to a halt. He stutters and screams from the electricity coursing through his muscles, seemingly trying to say something out loud. Probably something very rude.
Shoot again?
Check him again now that you have a better view?
Try to find a way down there?
>>1969260

Get him up here?
Leave him?

>>1969478
Get him up here.

Dawn carries him up to the higher level and drops him roughly on the floor. He was surprisingly light to carry.
He smirks at you and says you have come at a fine time. The preparations have gone well and this will save time from needing another run to the outside. Keh heh heh.

Luckily, >>1969418 you have had guards watching your back, as you begin to hear noises from the corridor behind you.
Spot check?

You jam the crossbow. Nobody is quite certain how that is even possible. But you did it. Somehow.
>>1969646
>>1969654
You two leap forward, bringing your dual hammers down on the skeletal fiends. Zai misses by an inch, but Radiant crushes one of the skeletons, shattering many bones as the rest fall into a random pile.
>>1969665
The grease spray flies over the charging front line and hits the skeletons, covering them in a slippery layer. They are now nice and flammable, but without flesh to burn, it might be a bad idea. At least they have trouble standing up. They now count 1,2 and 3 as a crit fail.

The skeletons counterattack, while the third attempts to rebuilt its remains. The two standing ones each target one pony.
My roll counts for all three.

>>
Let's complete the mission.
>>
As he hefts the battered body of the unicorn necromancer on his back, the Goat tells what he knows of the Great One. Supposedly a mighty necromancer, a true master of death, his name long since forgotten, began subverting his own mortality by binding the dead and dying to himself, becoming one with death, thus never truly dying.
He always thought it was just a metaphor though.

>>1970584
>>1970596
The goat says all he knows are stories. Some say he is a heaving mass of bones, flesh, torn clothes and garbage. Others insist he is a golem of twisted flesh.
Noone has ever tried to fight him, as few if any knew he was real.
>>
>>1970611
>>1970596
I open my Book of Evil Things to Smite and check if it has anything on Liches and how to defeat them in it.
>>
>>1970611

>>
>>1970631
Liches are creatures that have subverted mortality by embracing death. The forms of this are many, but many share a weakness. If their body is destroyed, most Liches bind their spirit to a magical focus of some sort, often a jewel, so they may return to life later. Destroying both the focus and the body should kill a lich.

You begin quickly ascending the spiral stairs. As you go along you once again occasionally read a name here and there.
>Grant of Whinnyland - guardian of saints
>Celaire, Knight of the Sun, savior of Equestria
>Duskhammer - the Iron Crusader
As you near the halfway point, you hear a lot of commotion from below. You can see several figures advancing at your position very quickly.
The goat, straining under the weight of the unicorn and his chains, looks at you with fear and despair. He asks you let him free so he can keep up.

In a momentary lack of focus, you decide to push him with the fire arrow. The unicorn is now on fire, and the goat throws him off the stairwell in panic. The flaming corpse smashes into the floor below with a dull thud.

The spearhead of the horde is now reaching the room. At the forefront are several more unicorns, a few goats and what seem to be large ponies wrapped in moldy bandages. Most likely ancient burials from the deepest catacombs. They will reach the stairs in one turn. Pick your actions.

You take a powerful guarding stance. As the first mummy reaches you, you easily block it's swing and counter, severing one of it's arms. It does not react and prepared for another blow as two more reach the stairs. The unicorns begin to form a circle around the bottom.
With the flammable mummies and the grease, some fire would be of great he-
>>1971000
>000
The mage explodes into flames. Magical fire erupts from your very soul, igniting your entire body into a glorious cascade of fire.
You have three turns to live unless you find a way to put yourself out. Also, you are now made of fire, in case you want to employ that in some way.
Your flaming body also blocks the path between Zai and the others.

The Goat reaches the tomb of Gracious Glory. Gold plates have been inlaid into the marble tomb, each bearing the insignia of one of his followers entombed in this same chamber. There are hundreds of names here, each pledging their thanks to their mentor and commander. At the end of the hallway of dedications lies a casket, and in it a skeletal pony. Some locks of his beard still cling to his jawbone, and his equipment looks as good as new.
Atop the casket is a statue of himself, with dozens of other statues kneeling to him. The base of the statue reads
>ONLY IN DEATH DOES DUTY END.

The Goat says he is ready to perform his service to Celestia and begin the ritual.

You don't know the beginnings of it!

I set a pile of dead cultists on fire, almost killing our knight, scarring the paladin and almost setting fire to the rogue.
I did kill ALL THE CULTISTS in the end though.

Your wings carry you to another of the unicorns. You slash it, forcing it to drop focus and instead pay attention to you.
Roll against me to see how well that goes.

Your charge falls short. It seems you were wounded worse than you thought against the mummies. With effort you manage to break the focus of another unicorn.
The distant roaring is becoming quieter.

You ignite the grease, and the greasy mummies along with it. They begin charging up the stairs, but one is blasted down by >>1971518

As the situation seems as dire as ever, the Goat turns from the casket. His eyes are now burning with the same blue flame as the skeleton's, and his voice seems to be growing weak and distant. He locks his blinded gaze at Radiant and asks: M'lady - have I proven myself worthy of the sun?

The unicorn, still dazed from his focus, attempt to kick you, but misses. However, your attempt at a backflipping neckbreaker also fails.

It gives you really bad heartburn

>critical marksman shot
Trusty fires his arrow. It strikes the mummy in the eye as it rises up to stomp on the wizard, embedding itself against the mummy's skull, pushing it over backwards. As it topples, the mummy falls through the pool of flaming grease, sliding into the greased unicorns like a bowling ball of magma. 8 of the unicorns catch fire and panic.
6 remain to focus.
>>1971600
As you bring your hammer down at one of the unicorns, it snaps out of focus and quickly dodges, Your attempt to correct your aim brings your entire body crashing down.

Very... well.
THEN WITH THIS PALADIN AS MY WITNESS, I GIVE MYSELF FOR THE SUN, FOR CANTERLOT, FOR CELESTIA AND EQUESTRIA.
I give my life to restore that of Gracious Glory, Father of Heroes. Celestia forgive me, for I am not strong enough alone without the darkness to aid me. For the sun.

With those words the the goat slumps over. The glow of his horns burns bright white as the skeleton within the casket reacts with a slight movement.
>>
>>1971791
Goddamit im going to finish this faggot now.

>>1971791

Seeing the blast of light and hearing his booming voice, the party turns their eyes to the top of the spire to see Gracious Glory swoop down on skeletal wings and crack the floor as he lands. His eyes aflame with zeal he strikes down the closest unicorn. The party begins falling back to the entrance of the Hall of Soldiers.
Graceful Glory, moving with unnatural speed no longer limited by flesh, zooms across the area, cutting down any who get in his way. As you make your way into the Hall of Sodiers, you see two of the knights rising from their tombs. Glory says he can hold back any who follow if you wish to battle. If not, run, and he will protect you. Unless you have another plan.

You shove yourselves out of the crack as soon as you can possibly fit through, and the gates are slammed shut right after. A loud cacophony of screams and roars can be heard through the door, but it fades away after a while.

Being a nimble traitor, the necromancer leaps to the side, avoiding your blows. He prepares for a counter attack when

his path is blocked by the searing radiance of the sun itself. Princess Celestia, the lady of the Sun, ruler of Canterlot and monarch of Equestria heard the commotion and has come in person to see to it that he does not flee. She casts a spell that forces the traitor to the ground in a single irresistible blast, then orders her guards to take the spy away. He will have information regarding the Great One and the conspiracy of the undead, and she needs to know it all.

The Princess then turns to you, saying your deeds this day have not only given Canterlot and Equestria new hope when facing Ironhide, but also uncovered a plot that would've been devastating to the land had it remained a secret.
