"Since you're coming with us, I'm going to tell you about a few of the pirates you should watch out for. For example, the foul-mouthed little pegasus in the funny hat is Emrille. She's actually around 20 years old or so, and is under the effects of age magic. So don't be weirded out if she hits on you. Or on miss Spring. She also has a foul temper."
"Miss Light Heart is a shrewd pony. She uses her words instead of weapons, and can be very convincing to get what she needs. So far she has done me no wrong, but she did manage to get mister Chip under his hoof.
"Mister Chip is a pleasant enough fellow, and good with traps. I'm not too certain of the other dogs, as I've not really spoken with them.
"Miss Felfire is an odd duck. Doesn't like to be touched, doesn't like ponies, doesn't like most living things. But I think she might be in love with a ghost of a knight who served in the times before the Darkest Night. He's a nice fellow, actually.
"Tela is a new addition, fairly nice mare. Mercenary, but won't harm children. Nor will miss Felfire.
"The gryphon is… interesting. Eats meat, fast learner. Likes fiddling with dice, thinks there are spirits telling him what to do. Probably are, for all I know."
I'll think a moment.
"Ah, Commodore Smitts. Be careful around him. He has no qualms about killing anyone if he thinks they are an inconvenience. Fullmaster Abilio and his wife-to-be, Cloudy Stripes, are pleasant, though the latter isn't good with groups. the quartermaster is a cheat, be wary of him."
I'll rack my brain for any more pirates to warn her about, but come up dry. I really haven't met that many, it seems.
