It's just after rain,

leaves are heavy from water

and forests still drip.

"… but what are they?"

"I dont know? You tell me!"
"Are they in league of the fie…"
"No.. possibly not, they are farm animals and cant you see they got weapons and dress pretty well."
"Aye, and this one is a griffon. A majestic creatures are they not?"

All of you began to awaken from your slumber.

[pause until I say so to start]

I'll stir and attempt to rise. '1d10'

Roll #1 5 = 5

peek out at them with one of my eyes, and try to be sneaky about it! '1d10'

Roll #1 1 = 1

Open my eyes. What do I see?

Roll #0 3 = 3

I must be dreaming….

Roll in a small ball and clench my eyes shut…

I open my eyes and rub my head with a paw while trying to stand up.

Roll #0 2 = 2

You try to stand up but find it difficult. You then notice the source of such difficulty are the ropes that binds your whole body.

One of them look at you, his eyes widen both with curiosity and enthusiasm.
"Hey look, one of them horses is already awake."

Your eyes are blinded by the light but as it readjust to see whats near you see five….. how can we say this. Five hairless apes.. with armor standing in front of your group.
You also notice you are tied and so are the other ponies, gryphon and a diamond dog.

It does not look like a dream, it feels all to real.
Though you got to admit that the soft hay and the warmth that you feel since all of you are piled to each other feels comfy.

All of them stare at the group while two of them stand in a readied pose with their hands in the grip of their sword.

Open my eyes scaredly.
Rolling not to freak out.

Roll #1 4 = 4

Can I speak, or is my beak bound?

"What in the name of Luna…"
I start to struggle
"What is the meaning of this!?"

"Gracious Equestria what are you!?"
try to break out of my bindings! '1d10'

Roll #1 9 = 9

"What is this? Why am I bound?"
I struggle to break free.

'1d10' to see my captors.

Roll #0 2 = 2

Roll #1 6 = 6

Nope, you can speak.

I'll glance at the others before doing so.
"Well, this is certainly an unfortunate way to awaken."
Turning my head to the hairless monkeys, I'll speak again.
"Who are you? And why have you bound us?"

All of them are startled.
"They can speak!"
"Thats obvious."
"It is obvious."
"I am speechless."
"Will you two just shut it."

One of them start to go close.
"All of you are bound for a reason. One is that you are in a village under siege. Second you got weapons. Third is, well aside from the gryphon…"
"What the hell are you?"

You are able to squirm and able to lose yourself from the bindings but three of them starts to get close and try hold you in place.
"Blimey, one of them is trying to escape. What do we do boss."
'r2 1d10'
'r3 1d10'

Calm dow…

Roll #1 3 = 3 / Roll #2 10 = 10 / Roll #3 1 = 1

Okay, whimper slightly.
"P-Please don't hurt and e-eat me!"

The two that looks like total morons missed Sasha while another one(surely a good catcher of stray animals) are able to securely fasten you down and tighten the rope around you in place.

I growl at them
"Let us free, right NOW!"

Roll #0 10 = 10

"How do you know what a gryphon is, but not a pegasus or a diamond dog?"

"Eeek! Get away from me!"

Roll #1 3 = 3

I keep struggling.
"I am a diamond dog! What under the earth are you?"

Roll #0 5 = 5

"We dont eat horses, specially small horses at that."
"Well… we dont normally eat hor.."
He got smacked hard by one of the group.

One of them stares at you.
"I take it that you two are unaware of your plight. Do you have amnesia? Though rare, gryphons exist in this world."
He then look at the others.
"As for the others, they look… off than the usual that we got here."

You almost get out of the tight rope but failed again, the one that speaks to the gryphon then stares at you.
"I am human, you are some sort of Dog?"

All of them are taken by that forceful command, while four of them just stand there in shock, one of them starts to approach you and unlose the ropes.
"H… here you go."

You are able to cut free from your ropes much to the amazement of the one who has bind you in the first place.

"W-Will you hurt m…"
Look around.
"..hurt u-us?"

Bringing my, I'm assuming, bound forelegs next to my beak, I'll sever the ropes with a quick bite. '1d10'
"Then I shall have to find them."

Roll #1 3 = 3

now getup '1d10'

Roll #1 2 = 2

Cut loose the ropes of the others as well
"Now. Would you be so kind to tell this friendly inquisitor where we are?"

Roll #0 3 = 3

"I said I am a diamond dog, do you not listen? Where in Equestria are we? Why did you steal me away from my pack?"

"Be careful with that knife, pony!"

Wow, this ropes are tough. You are just able to chew on the other parts but the core are as hard as leather, and smells too now that you noticed.
"Find them she says?"
"Its the first time I saw one."
"Well it is a long time ago that I saw one. I was a child back then, my ma and da told me that they are the weirdin animals so I dont take notice but now…"

Yup, you two find it hard to cut the ropes but are able to manage to get the ropes off the frightened pegasus(feather).
"Well you are in a the middle of a village that was raided yesterday that is much I can tell you."

Your pack is nowhere to be seen.
"Equestria? What is that?"
"Some sort of horseland?"
"Fiddle in a stick, is it that where they camesing'?"

You thought that a few good moves of impression would be good to show who is boss, but then you lose your footing and fall down the haystack.
The one who has captured you starts to help you up.
"H.. how did you do that?"

shove his hand away
"Through wit and cunning! Unlike you low captors!"

look around
"Where am I?"

"Raided?… b-by what?"

"I need names, xenos! Who are you? What are your names? What is this village of yours called? Where is it located?"

I'll grumble a bit as the ropes prove a bit tougher than I thought.
"Could you kindly unbind me? I mean you no trouble. And I'm a he, thank you very much."

"You don't know of Equestria? How could you not know of Equestria unless…oh no, not again."
I close my eyes and slump against the ground.

Help him with that

Roll #0 9 = 9

Rubbing my foreclaws to soothe the chafing, I'll thank her.

All of them stare at you.
"Creatures of the dark."
"Blood and saliva as dark as the depths of the ocean."
"White and yellow eye'sis staring back at ye."
"Blightspawns." This one, who looks like a farmer just said it blankly.
The only one who looks like a leader just look at them with a disappointed face.

One of them fidgets.
"Equestria? Thats a nice name come to think of it."
"I dont think so, its just a play of word for Equestrian."
"But it has a nice ring in it."
"Its unoriginal."
"No its not."
"Only a girl could think of a name like that."

A male ape approach you, his hair is cut short unlike his comrades and stands quite straight unlike the others.
"This is the village of Cliffsport, in the beaches of Anortir. My name is Gard and a soldier sent here to guard this general are."
He then kneels down to meet your eye-level.
"And who are you?"

You are still in this… some sort of barn. Haystacks everywhere, the smell of mildew and dried grass hangs in the air. Light is coming out of the small window and the small opening on the door, showing that the light of day is shining bright outside.

I back up to a wall.
Rolling not to cry myself out of sheer dread.

Roll #1 1 = 1

look at my newfound companions, then at the things surrounding us.

"How did we get here? And what is the nature of your presence? Were you the ones that brought us?"

"Just cut me loose, bald mutts."

"Sister Dewdrop. Inquisitor of the Holy Inquisition of Equestria. You speak of vile creatures attacking your town? Mutants?"

"Calm yourself."

ah shit! jump over and help calm her down!
"Shh, shh it's ok. I'll not let anything happen to you while I can still stand"
rolling for comfort! '1d10'

Roll #1 10 = 10

I'll just stare at the lot of them for a second.
"Where are my things?"

Sasha wraps feather around her caress, calming down the frightened pegasus.
It feels… warm, sparkles began to form around the distance and around Sasha's face for some weird reason.

Gard spoke.
"Being kept out of your reach of course. It wouldnt be wise of us to let you have it in the current situation as we speak."
"No worries, we may give it back, if we are able to trust you."

One of them then untie the ropes that are binding you.
"There you go mutt."

He looks at you, like he is weighing something. He then shrugs.
"Nice to see you, and yes this village has been invaded yesterday. We are looking around for strays or others who has fallen behind but saw your group underneath this abandoned barn."

I'll raise a browfeather.
"Under the barn?"

"I…t-thank you…. wh..w-what do we do now? How did w-we get here?"

I stand up and brush the hay off of myself.
"I don't care what you do with everything else, but give me back my staff. I must have had my staff with me. And what do you mean you found us under the barn?"

I look around. Can I see a hole here?

Roll #0 4 = 4

awww yea time for sparkle hug!

"So how will you trust us? I doubt you're in any better position to negotiate what you stole. But I'm not in a position to frighten this mare or allow any of my new comrades at arms to be injured because we had to take back what is ours.

So what will it be?"

"Now we wait, and discuss how we'll all be leaving with our hides intact."

"Xenos or not, you are still under threat of demonspawn. I will be glad to aid in purging them."

"You're going to trust our captors that easily?"

"Demonspawn is demonspawn. The Inquisition is international. No matter where we are, we continue to serve our plight."

"B-But… those sounds dangerous and s-scary…"

"I am more dangerous and scary."

We do not seem to have a choice in the matter at this point. They have our equipment, and while I would not enjoy the ensuing melee if we were try to overpower them, I get the feeling that young pegasus there would enjoy it even less."

"And if these… uhh, what if they turn on you? on us? I don't trust them, and I think you should hold your urge to spill blood just long enough for us to be defensible"

"D-Didn't you hear what those…um… what sort of creatures are t-these again? They l-look like some sort of monkey…"

"I understand completely, which is why I wish for us to negotiate for our items back before finding a way back to equestria, even if it means working with those who pulled us with their magic"

"In case you hadn't noticed, I don't care. If I die, so be it. But you can be sure I wont allow demons roaming around freely."

Shrink a little.
"B-But I don't want to die…"

I don't think demons would be so easy as to settle for your death. There are far worse things than breathing your last breath"
"You won't, I assure you"
SPARKLE HUG '1d10+1'

Roll #1 5 + 1 = 6

"Then follow me, pony. I can keep you alive and help you find your way back to our world."

I loom down on her
"Then stay here and cower if you wish."

"So be it then."

"Y-You really can?"

Gard shrugs nonchalantly
"One of the farmers saw you under the rubble, we just got you and your companions out of it. As for you getting in here, we are out of ideas really."

"Whatever assistance that you might give us, you have our thanks."
He then scratches his head.
"Though I have my doubts, I really dont know how a thing like you can help?"

He looks at you blankly.
"You want your things? Fine. You want your weapons then we might have a problem."

He stands up.
"If you want them, then follow us outside."
"Bu… but captain, isnt it too flightly to just let the.."
"Shhh… just let me handle this."

He then motions towards the door.

Stand up keep close to Sasha.

"My word is my oath"
slowly follow him out, and scan the area outside '1d10'

Roll #1 3 = 3

I'll rise to my feet. Flexing my wings to rid them of the loose rope, I'll move towards the exit.
"You had best be true to your word."

I glare at him
"I have been a inquisitor for nearly 25 years. Hunting demons is my life."

I smirk.

"All I want is my staff, necklace, and any food water I had with me."

I follow him out and look around once I get outside.

Roll #0 2 = 2

All of you walk outside of the crumbled down barn and saw that you are near the sea. The cold, somewhat salty air stings your noses a bit but it is mixed with the smell of burnt flesh from a distance. The town is a little crumpled here and there but it appears to be standing still though the general mood is somewhat somber and melancholic.

Gard then motions the group to follow him inside what appears to be a house with an upside down boat as its roof.
"I assume all of you are hungry."

I look around. Any signs of demon activity or heresy?

Roll #0 4 = 4

I look up timidly.
"Y-You have food for us?"

wrinkle my nose at the smell
"Your assumptions are correct but.. what.. are those?"
point out at the long standing pillars

"Hungry for my things. Where are they?"

Roll #0 6 = 6

Am I hungry? '1d10'

Roll #1 7 = 7

Not really, it seems.
"I would prefer to have my equipment back, in entirety, personally. Though I assume you plan on attempting to convince the rest of us to fight for you over the meal?"

He chuckles
"No of course not, but my men havent dine yet and it will be of ill will if we dont even offer to share what we have."
He then goes inside.
"Plus you are a griffon, it is a good sign that a creature such as yourself show itself in these parts. Perhaps you could let me ride you in battle. Ahahaha!"

One of the men motions you towards the door.

"Of course little pony, just come inside." One of the men who frightened you said.

Your heresy radar doesnt detect any, nor any demons for that matter. Just death and the smell of burnt flesh in the distance. You also see some smoke from the distance. Perhaps they are burning the dead there?

One of the men look at you.
"Pillars? Oh those."
"They are the heavens support."
"The sky would fall if it has not been there."
"All of us would be buried underneath the sky if it has not existed."
"You havent seen it? Dont your world have pillars to support the heavens?"

I start walking towards the door slowly.
"W-We don't have pillars like that… the sky is just… there…"

"Hmm.. this is a strange land indeed."
keep a stoic face and head inside

I follow him inside.

I'll glare for a half-second, and then follow him inside.
"Why are gryphons seen as so auspicious here? Do they not have their own kingdom, as they do in my home?"

Ignore everything then. I need to get my gear

File: 1368322944073.jpg (105.46 KB, 1000x1250, aa88.jpg, IO exif Google TinEye)

Gard leads the group to the confines of a half standing building. As you enter the rather dilapidated hall you see several ape like soldiers wearing armor, some are dining while some are on guard duty, their eyes ever watchful. Many of the soldiers and some towns folks however are wounded and crying in pain in one corner of the room, being tended by some of their kind who wears light colored robes.

Gard and the other soldiers(Franz, Hoit and Khrone you heard their names as they kept talking) leads you to the middle of the hall in where a tall muscled ape looks at your group.
"So… they are the creatures you found in the basement of a house? Am I correct Gard?" He speaks in a low and gruff voice.

"Ah, your kinds are a rarity if you ask me, I've heard stories but this is the first time I saw one for real. I mean its like… oh sorry for my excitement, it gets to me sometimes." Gard smiles at you.

One of the guards named Hoit look at you two and scratch his long hair
"Is that so? Then you must have come from the moonland mountains eh? No pillars there that much I heard but quite dark really them merchants say. I dont like to live there meself, I cant stand perpetual night for long."

You look menacing yes… some of the guards looks at you like they dont quite take you seriously though. One of them even kneels and gives you a gleeful smile.

"I see."
I'll flap my wings slightly.
"Our equipment, if you would be so kind."

I check that all of my things are still there and haven't been messed with too much. Once that's done I put my robe, vest, dagger, and necklace back on before grabbing my staff.

I sniff the air. What sort of food are they eating?

"I'd like my equipment back."

I shy away and look down as the tall and gruff ape speaks…

Your items are on a table(so Bones havent got his yet) and it looks like they have checked it. Swords unsheat, Claw gauntlet being tried out by one of the inspector and a necklace of small bones is curiously looked upon by one of them.

Gard approach the leader and bow.
"Lord Able, yes they are. To my surprise they are quite amicable and capable of speaking our language. They appear to be reasonable if spoken too that is."

This… Lord Able then step forward and looks at the group with an eager stare.
"I am Lord Able, one of the commanders able to respond to the call of the white dove that has come from this place."
He then put one of his hands to his waist.
"Now that I introduced myself, and if you understand my language that is, it will be of good will if you introduced your names to me and why your group are under that house."

He then signal the inspector to drop your stuff before looking back.
"Dont worry, I will give you back your items and weapons and I am willing to give you food and lodging so that we may speak more.

"My name is….F-Featherscent…"
Keep trying to seem as small as possible.

"Dewdrop. Equestrian Inquisition. Demon hunter."

Stand near this obviously scared poor thing.

"My name is Gideon. I woke up under there along with the others. I have no recollection on how I got there."

I guess I could try and hind behind her just a bit.

I move towards my things instead of looking at him.
"My name is Bones."
Once I've introduced myself I put on my vest, robe, belt with sheath for my dagger, my necklace, and my pack that holds my things. After all of that I pick up my staff.
"Thank the mountains. I feel naked without my vest."

"I amSäsha the Peacock Swordsmare! Companion to the Displaced of this World, and Knowledgeable in the ways of Heroics!"
Stand Proudly

Several of the guards are about to stop you but Lord Able gives a signal to them both and let you through.

"Dewdrop, Feather.. scent(?), Bones, Sasha and …… "
"Gideon my lord."
"Ah yes, Gideon." He slightly bow his head to the gryphon.

"Ah… what am I doing, letting you starve after being kept inside that basement for like 2 days, You must be starving, food is served at the camps tent not a few minutes from here. Come, get your items and follow me outside." He warmly smiles at your group.

[early pause]

I smile back. Rolling for how creepy my unpracticed, diamond doggish smile is.

Roll #1 3 = 3

Beaks, unfortunately, are not meant for smiles, so I shall simply nod to him and recover my equipment, and put on my cloak.

Some gryphons have both

I am not some gryphons.

I bet a realistically drawn open gryphon beak/mouth would be horrifying.

>not having giant fangs hidden behind your beak to help you consume your enemies and steal their strength
