[To Bottom]

Trees rattle and sway

Lightning splits the sky in two

A dark night ahead.

Sound: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pSyYhRYeIM

You slowly open your eyes in the middle of the night, flashes of light occasionally penetrates the small cracks of the wooden wall in where you are confined as the heavy rain constantly beats the roof of the structure you currently reside. The hay where you are now lying is not the best bedding but it is doing its supposed purpose just fine. The cold air penatrates your skin and the smell of mossy wood, wet grass and animal refuse permeates your nose the instant you came to your senses. The only sound that you hear is the pouring of rain and that of your own breath.

For some reason you feel that you are not alone.

[paused until ready.]

A blinding light followed by a thunderous roar alerted your senses and the party woke up seeing that they are huddled to each other for warmth. The structure that they are in is quite large and spacious but they are now in some sort of enclosure that is five feet tall in height.

>huddled together
"Which one of you dumbasses got us into this one?"

Roll #0 5 = 5

I rub my eyes

"What on earth? Where… what's going on here? Who are you all!?"

"What you forgot me already?"

"This may not be the time to blame, where we slept and woke are not the same."
I stand up and look at our enclosure. What sort of enclosure is it? Is there anyway out?

Roll #0 6 = 6

Scram away from the others
"What? I don't even know you!"

Roll #0 9 = 9

search the place, is there a lifeless body near?

Roll #0 1 = 1

"Lets change that then. I'm Liune, and I don't know you."

I squint my eyes and look at her

"Uhhh… you have me at a disadvantage here lady…"

The wind howls heavily outside, and rain continually pour outside, beating the wooden roof hard.

The enclosure is some form of wood, that circles the party from all side. One part looks like it can be pushed.

The smell of manure is quite notable. You decide to cover your nose immedietely.

"Koranna of the Zebras, and may I ask, where are we? Are you my kidnappers?"

"My name is Miiba, and I am a zebra."
I push on the pushable part and stick my head through if I can. What do I see?

Roll #0 9 = 9

"….I'm not with my own party here am I? great"
"If I was I wouldn't wake up with you now would I? actually i might. Never kidnapped anyone before."

Roll #0 3 = 3

"Oh my misery, get kidnapped by such poor villain!"
"Brother, you too in this misfortune?"
Inspect the room.

Roll #0 4 + 1 = 5

I look at the both of them rather suspiciously.

"I guess not."

I punch my chestplate

"My name is Marching Dawn, aspiring knight! And you?"

"It seems so. This was not the place I wished to go."

stomp my hooves
"Hey I didn't say I kidnapped you!"
"Liune, I'm a ….healer"

"Or are you just playing tricks on my mind to gain my trust? How horrible would that be!"
"This is not where I remember sleeping, either. I was in the great planes of our homeland, not amongst ponies!"

"Well I don't know about you ponies but I'm not going to sit here cowering like some craven dog."

Is there a way out of here?

Roll #0 2 = 2

"not as horrible as you shutting up about it anyone see an easy way out besides jumping on their sword?"
look for a way out

Roll #0 10 = 10

"Looking for a way out does seem something a captor wouldn't do. I'll trust you, pony."
Look for a way out, indeed!

Roll #0 1 + 1 = 2

"I was asleep outside of town, for the ponies there did not want me around."

You are able to push the small door easily enough, you are able to deduce that you and your companions are in a rustic single room strutcture about 13 feet tall at the highest and to your estimate 30 feet long and 10 feet wide. The roof is holding quite well even though the wind is quite strong.

the door to your enclosure is open but the door of the structure is quite lose. The wind and the rain however is pretty strong however.

It is cold to make you shiver but not quite to cause something debilitasting

While going around, you can feel that you are not alone. The sound of silent huff and puff can be heard in a distance on one corner of the room.

"Gee, I wonder why…"

I guffaw

"Some rain and wind isn't going to stop this knight!"

Walk just outside the door and see if I can spot anything

Roll #0 5 = 5

"And that, brother, is why I never leave motherland!"
"Do you hear it too, companions? Something's in the corner!"
Carefully inspect the corner.

"Now you scaring me, pony.. Go talk to him!"

I jump back a few steps.
"A giant!"

There is only rain and a few occasional lightning and thunder. The wind appears to be able to swept aside creatures that is the size of your stature.

Draw my sword and point it at the creature

Well that's a monter allright!
"Whaaa! Wicked creature! Stay back!"
Light my catalyst, just for show.

"There are more!"
I hastily strap my shield onto my leg and draw my sword.
"You may have caught us, but prepare for war!"

The thing just stare blankly at your rambling, though remains unfazed until…

Liune illuminated the place, there are 4 more of these creatures in the area, all enclosed in the holding cell that you yourselves are enclosed. The structure is made of wood. There are some hay in a corner and what appears to be fresh water on a holding. Farming implements that appears to be made for such creatures of that size are scattered inside.

The instrument is clearly used for farming yet appears to be of poor quality and unwieldy. You however have accidentally moved one of what appears to be a large shovel and it falls to the ground hitting you on the flank, weighing you down.

"Curses! Them wolves c'mon to try it gain?!? YUP I'LL BE CAREFULL HON!"
It appears to be getting closer.

You try your best to hide in the shadow as the large entity makes it way inside. You however step on one of the farming tools and it make a noticeable sound, the tall creature then illuminated the area where you and your companions are hiding.

It is tall, about to be almost six feet in stature. It walks on two legs similar to that of diamond dogs and the forefront arms ends in what appears to be hand. It has a light pinkish skin and is wearing some form of wool clothing.

The way its stares at you shows sign of disbelief.

You are quite agile to hide before you are seen. Under the stack of hay, you are able to witness what events are unfolding.

"Dear morning lord… " it muttered.

[paused becuz of sleep]

"You tried to take us prisoner, but now we are free. Explain yourself and do not try to flee."
Rolling to intimidate the thing with the lantern.

"Damn that thing is ugly! Wonder if it's the reason why we're here?"

I am taken aback for a moment by the appearance of this strange looking creature, but quickly regain my composure. I'm going to be a knight dammit!

First thing first, what is this?
"What are you? You look like a dog!"

(Rewrite arg, actions made from past post are still part of the quest)

Liune has just made it in time to hide from the creature that has just entered the wooden building. The creature just stares blankly at the group, his face becoming pale made worse by the cold winds. His water proof clothing, dripping with rain water makes a pool of mud from where he stand.

A loud thunder booms loudly again. The large equines inside the building, startled by the noise, began to make a racket and shuffles inside their enclosures. This particular thunder however has pulled the party back to their senses and they are now aware of their situation.

"Dear morning lord… " This creature mutters.

This particular creature is speechless. He starts to inch away as he drops his lantern.
"DEAR LORD IT CAN SPEAK!!" He makes some gesture
He is already running to grab his rake. He then points it at the group.

"So… the rumors are true!!" He said in a raspy voice.

"I asked you a question! Where are we? What did you do to us? Explain yourself!"

Point my sword at him threateningly

Clearly this primate is afraid, his eyes are bloodshot and he is trembling.

"You wait!" Teleport it over here!

Roll #0 8 = 8

Intimidate him

Roll #0 5 = 5

I meant the rake, of course.

I hoof at the ground.
"What rumors. Why are we here?"

Don't be like that, website. I thought we were cool.

File: 1351281873159.jpg (31.56 KB, 700x700, aa.jpg)

He yelps seeing the weapon in his hand disappear. He is now panicking and his eyes dart from left to right.

"Ho… how could you hold that?? NO!! PLEASE!!"

"Rumors… of horses…. speaking. Horses that are.. that are taking over… "

He fainted, clearly this species of primate are more susceptible to fear.

"Hey I am no horse! Don't insult me like that!"
Look around, signs of civilization?

Roll #1 10 + 1 = 11

The general nature of the environment remains the same. The rains continually beats the roof of the building that appears to be a barn.

The lantern, thankfully still stood up and its light gives a sickly yellow glow that illuminates the area nicely.

"Do not think my mind full of birds, but could one of you repeat his last words?"

"He called me a horse! That son of a mule!"

"You need not yell with such loud force. Am I correcting in guessing that is a horse?"
I point at one of the giant pony type things.

"Yes! But they're weird… horses. And it's only fitting for a knight to use a strong and loud voice!"

"My, that's a big horse.."

File: 1351282492394.jpg (40.75 KB, 700x700, aa2jpg.jpg)

Nope it is still passed out. It mumbles about something incoherent, drool drips from its mouth.
You cannot detect anything.
You look outside, the wind howls strongly, the moon can be seen in the sky though it is obscured strongly by the rainclouds. It appears to be a farming house with two buildings nearby in the distance of about a 30 meters. The light in the houses shows something is a stir.

You however go inside again as the wind and the rain is starting to wet your mane

the group of large equines are snorting and looking at the group of mares(and one male) intently.

"I suppose we should wait for the weather to calm down. No sense trekking through a storm like this. We'll have to wait for the weatherteam to clear it up again."

"There's a building over yonder, can only guess it's of this creature. Looks incredibly like pony buildings, but is much bigger."
"Sho you, I'm in no mood for that!"

rejoin the party
"What should we do then? Is it dead?"

Roll #0 2 = 2

"Do not worry little pone, let me try to calm the weather alone."
I start chanting a pray to Nature in my native language and ask it to calm the storm so that we can get to the building.

Roll #0 4 = 4

It is warm to touch as you poke it. It then grumbles and mumbles something incoherent as its beady eyes slowly opens up.

A blinding flash followed by a loud thunder appears to be the response of nature to your meddling with its affair.

"Are we gonna stay here or kill this thing and explore the place?"

Roll #0 9 = 9

The large equine to have not understand what you have said.

"I am not little! Don't patronize me! I'm a knight! Or soon to be anyway!"

"Hah! The pegasi wont let you interfere with their weather schedule!"

"Whoa, kill, just like that?"
Show him what I mean
"Stay back, you ugly!"
Send a scorch his way, just to scare him off.

"It will keep breathing unless it speaks things I am not believing."

I roll my eyes at her arrogance.

I put a hoof on top of his neck.
"Tell us what we want to hear, or I will take away all your fear."
I press down a bit harder.

Roll #0 4 + 2 = 6

"Why not? IT pointed a spear atyou guys!"
"Hey, fine."

Roll #0 7 = 7

The primate is now aware of whats happening and is shaking, though it appears he has now calmed a bit.
"Oh no! Magic!! P..please, I am just a simple farmer, I will tell, I will tell whatever you want." It held its forearms high in the air.

The group of stallion just snorts and neigh.
It is still staring at the group.

File: 1351283734520.jpg (50.92 KB, 400x400, iC1yy1FcpM3BK.jpg)

As your eyes adjust, you are now able to discern the general area.

"Plenty farmers use magic, what's strange about it?"

"Where are we? What is this place?"

"Hey! Thhhhhing! Where are we? I've not seen this part of equestria!"

"Speaking horses taking over is something you said before. Quickly now, tell us more."

"Farmers, magic? What are you saying?!?" His fear appears to have subsided for that moment in bewilderment.

"Nergaard, the duchy of Nergaard. In the farms of the Halfstead." He stares at you with fear.

"Im not a thing… and equestria?"

"I… I dont know, I've just heard it…"

"Nergaard? Where the hay is that? I've never heard of such place… What's your name then?"

"You.. you don't know what Equestria is? "
turn to the others
"WHere the HELL are we!?"

"You make no sense, thing!"
"We should calm down. Try to find our way looking at the stars!"

"I want to hear it. Speak if you do not want to get bit."

"Heh, yea. Hey why don't you go look up at the stars now?"

"Because there's a storm raging and I am no pegasus?"

"Hahahahhaahaha, precisely! Now lets find a place to better snuggle up in~"
look around do we really need to spend our time here?

Roll #0 9 = 9

"Hey I'm not staying a minute more with these creepy.. Things!" Hoof over at the horses and the primate.

"I seriously hope not either"

"Shall we head for the house then?"
Turn to the creature
"Thing! What is in the house?"

He appears to have calmed down a bit, though his eyes dart from left to right eyeing each one of you. The light from the lantern reflects back from his eyes.

"I… am Gunders Halfstand, I am the owner of this…. farm…" He gives a disapproving look at you.

"I, I have no idea what this Equestria is. I've heard of Harford and the Dunstend island colonies but Eques…." He is now scratching his head.

"Uhhmmm look, we can go to my… place… I.. I dont know anymore." He appears to have resigned to the reality that is happening around him.

The barn is habitable, yet as Koranna has said, the other creatures appears to be taking some interest in the group.

I step off of him.
"Lead the way, but if you try any tricky things I will make you pay."

shake my rump at the stallion
"Yea… lets get i- I mean lets head to your place"

Roll #0 6 = 6

"Now don't be so rude.."
"Yeah thing, lead the way!"

"Hmm… a simple farmer then. You really don't know what is happening here do you? Fine then, my apologies. We are as confused as you are."

"Why are you shaking like that with your rump? Surely those things you do not wish to hump?"

"Hey if you want some just say so. But i'm getting really fucking bored right now"

Roll #0 2 = 2

He cringes for a bit and then grabs his leather cap and lantern. For some reason you saw his eyes dart to an axe in a corner but he just shrugs, opens the door and then heads out.

"Follow me." He shouted as rain pours.

"Easy there you little tartlet, this is not the best time to fill your meat wallet."

I follow him.

"hmm, maybe later then"

Roll #0 5 = 5

Go with him. It. Wathever.

The group followed this creature back to his house. The 'rain' continually pours making their mane and coat a complete mess. They are now dripping wet, cold and shaking a little.

The primate looks at the group, fear yet curiosity is present in its eyes. It then opens the door. "Please stay near the fireplace, I will get some rags to dry you." He enters

You are now huddled with the group yet it is still too cold. You're breath comes hot and you are trembling. The fires is good yet not enough to completely dispell the shivers.
The fires grows hotter yet the same in appearance.

The creature. or Gunders as he has said to what he is called appears from the back of the room carrying some rags and bits of ravaged articles of cloth. He each of you two piece that is enough to dry yourselves and to wrap your body for warmth. He then sits down in a corner, with one hand on his forehead and one hand drumming the table nearby.

"So.. what are… you…. "

"What are we what?"

get closer to the others. feed off their warmth

"I'm a pony. What are you?"

Roll #0 4 = 4

"Lady, you're getting a little too close for comfort!"

"I'm a zebra, and until a few hours ago I was sleeping in my home. Then I woke up here, and you say you know nothing. What are you?"

"I don't swing that way!"

"Aw come on, I'm coolld~"

Roll #0 4 = 4

I sigh and roll my eyes

"You gotta have some decency in life. Not a lot, but at least some of it!"

He shifted uncomfortably, he then pinch his cheeks and recoils from the pain. He then stares at the group with a bewildered stare.
"I… am Gaardian, I…. this is ridiculous."

He stands up and drinks a glass of water then stares at your group again. "I am speaking with horses right now right?"

She is too close to the party as Liune is literally rubbing herself to each of you. Yet she felt so cold, and her breathing is hot. Appears she has cold.

"Ponies! An Earth pony to be exact! What are you!?"

"Well you gotta swing someway! I'll break you eventually"
"Are you gonna help me warm up or not? Necessity dictates action!"
"What's ridiculous is I'm still dead cold and Nopony's helping me warm up!"

Roll #0 2 = 2

"Hey thing, you better drop this 'horse' shit or we're gonna have a problem!"

He returns back to his seat, he breaths deeply and looks in your direction again. His pudgy face appears more lively than back then when you first meet him.

"An ert and a zebra, I have not heard those types of breed. I mean I have no idea what those are, yet it reminds me those stories that some of my slaves has told me."

Yes its positive you are having a cold. He shifts and ask. "Do you need something? I think you are sick?"

"Hell yea I do! I need to warm up fast befua- CHOO!"
shit, come on get warmer already

Roll #0 4 = 4

Perk up my ears
"Slaves? So it's true, some things never change.."

"Yea? What's that?"

"Earth Ponies are the strongest race. We are physically strong and powerful!"

I beat my chestplate with a hoof proudly

"What, you deny what ponies did to my people? for centuries? Shame on you."

"Yea yea, stroong. But strength is nothi- ACHOO! nothing against magic!"
tap my horn
"I know shit about what happened to your race. enlighten me as I warm up on you"

He puts his hands to his face. "Dear lord dont tell me you h.. pon… You see I think you critters have names. As owner of this land I've told you my name, so as absurd as it sounds I really do feel you have names."

"I've seen sick h, ponies in my life. I think I could set up some make shift mat so you critters can stay near the fire."

"Pfff, you unicorns…"

Flick her horn softly

"There, magic stopped! How about that?"

"Marching Dawn, at your service! I aspire to become a knight some day."

"Yea, I'm Liune"
"Heh, know anywhere else to fli- wait. Yea? well lets see you flick my horn when we're not so close. later. I'm cold, tired, and hungry"

"Nothing, let my rabbling be. I'm just proved from this experience.."

"Call me Koranna, mage of fire!"

"You're a what?? I mean h… okay I give up. I just hope my guards come back earlier."

"Dear… *sigh* Nice to meet you four." He shrugs.

"Okay ask me anything, I dont care anymore." Gunder puts his hand on his chin in defeat.

"The stories you mentioned. What was that?"

"Did you say there were more of us?"

"Your guards?"

sounds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8tGnQlpMgw&feature=relmfu

"What stories?" He appears to be puzzled.
"Well I… i've heard rumors of sort. Madmen saying they saw horses talking. That was like…. 30 years ago. Then some of the local peasants said that ponies are like attractions for this place or not because they like talk or do magic and stuff. I mean I thought it was some kind of hoax I mean… and now." Gunder is giving you a confused look.

"I've had my guards to scout the area for grain and lifestock thiefs. Those bastards goes by night and grab a sackful of what or goes for a chicken or two so either they caught the thief tonight or not." he said while scratching his head.

>What stories

"Hm. And what do you think now? Are there anymore of those stories? Anything recently?"

"Are they going to form a problem? Attack us?"

"If he won't, others will. Is the faith of those who are different. We should hurry and find a way home!"

"If they want to fight, then so be it!"

I draw my sword and give it a few swings to put action to my words

"Let them come!"

"Woah there sugarrush~! Why don't we sleep this off and think of a less bloody way to do it tomorrow?"

"How many ponies are there in equestria? A lot, I imagine. Same number of these.. Things must be here. You ready to fight them all?"

"Hmph. Don't call me that. It's unfitting for a future knight."

"I-I'll fight them all if they try something!"

Try to sound confident

Roll #0 6 = 6

"Mmm, yea my knight in shining armor~"

"Ah, you sure got the attitude right."
I'm actually impressed by this mare.

"I'm not your knight, lady! I'm my own knight!"

"Bah, patronize me all you want. I wont let it get to me."

"Oh those, well I've… talked to my slaves one rainless night and we've shared a story or two. As I've told to the.. unicorn, before some of them entered my service, they have seen fairs going around with talking animals particularly ponies with different colors and stripes that are able to do what we Gaardians can do."
"Yes absurd as I first heard it, I dismissed it since they told me they are young during those times, like 30 years ago or such, but now…. "

"No, I've been working and managing our farm for 20 years or so already. My visits to the mainland are brief and when only needed. Last spring, we traded some cows and grains for more slaves and some wine and silk for the festivities ahead."

"So no, I've not heard any recent stories."

"I cannot guarantee that yet. But since I am at your mercy I will do what I can do meet what you and your friends desire. As it appears you are civilized than I expect, some formalities are to be met." He said as he smiles and scratch his head.

"By the way if you want I can go get some blankets, my guard Yunder would be back by tommorow by this time so I think he and his friends wont be back tonight."

He then appears to be rather smiling a bit, seeing the group bickering with each other.

"What a shame…"
try to look saddened by this
"You're not gonna kill me in my sleep are you? I'd hate for that to happen. But yea I'll sleep with what you gave me. Thanks"

Roll #0 3 = 3

"What? Oh no! Pardon me… miss but I am no swordsman. I am just a farmer." He then stands up and goes back to retrieve some bed cover and a pillow or two and gives it to your group.

"I think you can remove those articles of clothing or armor that you are wearing. It may make those sheets wet and it is hard to dry them off specially during this time of the years."

"Take off my armor? No way! This is some kind of a trick isn't it?"

"Right right…"
take them off and get comfy
"Who am I bunking with?

"Oh why, you are so nice!"
Whisper to them
"We must take guard tonight. I don't trust the thing."

"Want me to do it?"

Roll my eyes

"I will."

"Pardon me, is it barding? I am so sorry. But with all respect *since you can hold a sword using hooves* you appear to be cold, so I am just suggesting, with all respect to take your barding off since I fear for your health." He smiles while taking Liune and Koronna's clothes and hang them to dry in a corner.

"Alrighty then." He smiles, take the clothes and hang them to dry in a corner.

"I'm happy to see this much will to do, but let's just take turns, shall we?"

*sigh* "I see, it will be fine then. Rest for now." He walks back cautiously and closes the door to one room. You heard the some kind of heavy thing being moved before it was silent.

Your group are now alone in the fireplace. The rain appears to be dying down but continue's to fall in a steady drizzle. The blankets provided smells like weeks old bedsheet with a spongy waft but is warm enough to give you a good sleep.

The night is deep as all of you has given up to slumber.

You are able to maintain your conciousness, though the blanket and pillow is constantly enticing you to use it

So far nothing stirs, the crackling of the flame in the fire and the steady drizzle of the rain is the steady sound that you can hear. Your companions are sleeping heavily though Marching Dawn >1 appears to be shivering under his blanket his face slightly blushing and his breath is hot.

You keep your vigil steady, the fire is slowly getting weak as time pass by and you noticed that the rain is almost gone. All of your three companions are sleeping soundly, everything is peaceful and serene.

Perhaps a few more minutes and its time to wake Marching Dawn to change routine schedule.

Do I wake up and scream?

Roll #0 6 = 6

A warm fireplace after a storm, coupled with a nice, although slightly smelly rags as a makeshift bedsheet can really make you drift into a deep sleep. Fully rested implemented.

The rain is nothing now but a drizzle now as you take action and wake up Liune.
It's quiet so far.

"Mm~ whu izzit?"

"It be guardtime for ya, ya know. Ah'm getting sleepy out here, stay awake till ya can and then wake up somezebra else, will ya?
Nuthin strange so far."

Roll #0 10 = 10

Roll #0 4 = 4

The rest who are awake are startled to see Morning wake up and stands up shivering.

Its quiet.
Too quiet, nothing stirs inside the house so far, like you can only feel yourself and your friends in the immediete vicinity.

Nothing so far, the rain continues though its a drizzle now.

I keep on sleeping.

Okay, do I want to investigate that or am I too sleepy?

Roll #0 4 = 4

Nope, back to sleep. Rolling for good dreams.
"Good luck gurl."

Roll #0 7 = 7

Rub my eyes

"This place is working on my nerves… No way I'm getting any decent sleep."

Get up and scan around the room for anything interesting

I'm still wearing my armor right?

Yup, you're dead tired. You're asleep in no time.

Even with the occasional coughing because of how cold your armor can get, your senses are still in top shape.
Nothing stirs but you and your companions inside the cottage. You see a mice in a corner of your eye eating some grain but immedietely scampers away as you took notice.
Gunder's room is oddly quiet. You can feel cold wind brushing to your hoof as it pass the small crack under it. It brings a shiver down your flank which was immedietely alleviated by Liune.

I cock an eyebrow and silently head over to his door, peeking through the keyhole

Revision: You can feel cold wind brushing to your hoof as it pass the small crack on the doors room under it.

You can see shadows in the darkness, though nothing moves. Its just too damn dark.

And I keep on sleeping.

Yup, a little stretch here, a little changing position there.
Its a good sleep.

The rain is a drizzle you noticed, unlike back then where it was a major thunderstorm. A few low rumble can be heard in the distant though nothing to worry about.
And yes, his flank is hot as he tries to look into that keyhole for some reason
Oddly its quiet in the room.

Keeeeeeeep Sleepin!

Roll #0 4 = 4

lick my lips and try to busy myself with seeing if my clothes are dry now.

Roll #0 9 = 9

I mumble and stretch again as I settle into my new sleeping position.

The fireplace is slowly dying down. The room is still warm though so no problem there, but it might get darker soon if the fire is not fed well.

Still a little wet though if worn now it will dry soon enough.

It does not budge for some reason. Something is blocking the way.

Can I walk outside and go see through the window of that room?

Roll #0 7 = 7

"Ugh, I hate waiting for this."
look outside a window

Roll #0 9 = 9

The door does not budge. Something heavy is keeping from you from pushing it open. A good push might do the trick.

Still wet, though you took notice that it is getting dryer unlike before.

"Something fishy is going on here…"

Ram it open

Roll #0 5 = 5

Does the noise wake me up?

Roll #0 2 = 2

I yawn and wake up. That's enough sleep for one night.

OOC:sorry for late reply.

The rain has almost gone to a complete halt. The clouds is slowly giving way for the moon to show its face in the night sky. For some reason, that moon does not have that familiar face of a certain princess.

You can see little beyond the barn, though you can tell there is a forest in the distant north and a road to the east.

THe door slightly give way but does not open, a large thud is heard in the room as if a wooden box was dropped hard. You can try opening it but still you can feel there is something blocking it.
You stirred and saw Marching pushing the door to Gunders room while Liune is looking outside the window

"What are you doing with the door, knight? That is a suspicious thing to do at night."

Try to ram it open again

Ignore the zebra

Roll #0 1 = 1

As you rammed, the door give way but not as you expected. The hinges give way and the whole door falls on top of you. That hurts a little but nothing serious so far.
Wounded 1

You can see however that Gunder is not in the room. The closet used to block the door is empty, the bed is cold and the window is partially open, letting the cold wind enter.

I try to lift the door off her.

Roll #0 10 = 10

"Gah! He's gone! Wake up everpony!"

Wow, thats quiet easy. You easily swept the wooden door aside. It is of good quality but appears to have been worn out after years of use. Does not stop you from shoving it aside.
Also, the other room is empty and devoid of use. No hairless primate in sight.

Okay wake up already
"What the hay is goin' on here sisters?!"

"That hairless ape fled! He's gone!"

"Perhaps he thought best not to be around when you began to try and knock his door down?"
I look around the room and try to figure out how long ago he left.

Roll #0 8 = 8

"Why would he ever…"
Oh gosh!
"He must be calling for help! They'll be upon us soon!"

It appears your first hypothesis is wrong. The bed is not used and cold to touch, things of value are gone and some clothes are left on the ground as if the owner is in a hurry. The wooden window is slightly open, letting the cold breeze through.

"I felt cold coming from under the door, I knew something was up!"

"Bah, let them come! See how they fare against a knight!"

Beat my chestplate

"Or perhaps I was wrong, the strange hairless ape is long gone."

"But once more, why! This was his home!"
Have a look around. Is there an upper floor?

I do the same, inspect this entire building!

Roll #0 8 = 8

File: 1352491041226.jpg (35.04 KB, 700x700, aa5.jpg)

The rain has stopped though the strong winds continually blows. The bedroom smells spongy with a hint of stale bread in the air though most of it are slowly blown away by the breeze flowing through the open window

Back at the common room, the fireplace is slowly dying down, perhaps feeding it a little could rekindle it.

"I do not mean to be a drag, but perhaps he went to his friends to brag."

I look around for some wood to feed the fire with.

Roll #0 4 = 4

It is a two room cottage, one can tell it is of peasant use and not owned by a man of wealth. It is quite old however and barrels are lined in a corner. One table in the common room has a caserole filled with cold mushroom soup however.

"In da middle of the night? You crazy zigga?"
What about the bed? Has he slept at all tonight?

Feed the fireplace a bit then

"Hmm… maybe…"

Bad for you, you may have fed it with a wet wood or two and the fires are slowly dying down. The common room is slowly growing dark.

As you inspect more, you saw that the barrels lined on one side contain root crop. One cabinet contains knives and kitchen utilities, while another one contains pots and pan.
There are two chest however that is locked hard.

Nope, cold bed. It is also still arranged to boot.

OOC: arg exchange miiba and march links.

And by lockpick I mean sword

Roll #0 9 = 9

Y.. you two somehow felt no connection whatsoever to your surroundings and to your magic, as if it has no voice. You can even feel its no there at all, like there is some void needed to be filled. You can also feel that one must strongly wills it in order for such things to exist.
The fires dies down, the cottage is now lit by the hazy moonlight and your large zebra eyes are now slowly adjusting to the dark.

You put a large dent on the metal lock of one of the chest. Your swing was so strong that the metal lock was almost splits into two and is now hanging by a thread. You estimate that one more swing might be good enough to completely open it.
Suddenly the common room has gone dark and with that the feeble light that trickles to the bedroom was also extinguished.

-1 to all rolls related to sight and physical actions.

I sit down hard and stare at Koranna.

Turn back to the chest and force that shit open

"Stupid zebras…"

Roll #0 1 = 1

Well what a fire mage I am! Burn this fireplace down, for the gods!

Roll #0 10 + 2 = 12

As you swing your sword it goes through the chest instead and cleaved the hard wooden frame in two instead. Somehwo, your swing was stopped mid cleave as you hit something hard inside. You heard something break inside however and some kind of liquid began to pour unto the side though you cant make out of it because of the darkness.

You smell something weird however.

You can't feel it but it is there.
It is present but hard to wrought and manipulate with your will. It surge unto your body and with a single command, was willed into making a flame good enough to kindle the fireplace.

It is bright and warm again.

"And that, zigga, is how ya do it!
Now, everybody done here?"

The smell is somehow pungent with a hint of eucalyptus and strong alcohol. It is bad to the nose and makes you slightly light-headed. It is a good thing that you averted your nose in time. You keep your senses.
The chest can be open because it is now loose.

You are keeping watch on one of the windows for sometime now, it is still cloudy but the full moon is trying its best to show what it can in the distance, thank you Luna.

What's inside the chest? Open up!

"Oh? You think he's coming back?"

Roll #0 9 = 9

Nothing stirs outside though there is something weird in all of it….

OOC: roll :3
As you entered the room, the smell has gone up your nostril and into your senses, dulling them. You felt your knees are giving way and you felt nothing as you slump down on the cold wooden floor. You are still aware of your surroundings however.

Leaving your station, you two look for something of value though there appears nothing so far in the common room. There is two books there however with weird drawings and writing and such.

OOC: again arg. exchange Milba and Liune's linkage.

Even with the best of your abilities, you cant read the book or even its cover. What you can make out of it is that it has some drawings in it, depicting tall towers and primates wearing armor and such.

OOC: Yes, using that 8 now
You help Miiba up but he appears to be paralyzed down to his neck. You can see his eyes are moving and he is breathing so thats a good sign.

You feel light headed but you cant feel anything below your body. Its a very weird sensation to the point that you did not almost notice that Liune is helping you up to your feet and settled you to Gunders bed.

Roll #0 7 = 7

Huh, bag that stuff

What about the containers man? The containers! What's in them?

Call out to the rest of the party

"What on earth are you folks doing back there!?"

Roll #0 9 = 9

"Oh nothing~"

"What is going on? The feeling in my body is gone!"

You felt your magic is somehow restrained, like you are pulling something out of nothing, no source, no renewal. Only with your will are you able to release your healing magic. As it course through your hoof, you decided to let it flow through Miiba's frozen body and felt a satisfying warmth glow in your heart.

The liquids appears to be the same yellowish color with some black specks floating inside. The broken container has the same inside it.

You felt warm energy flows through your body and into your spines. It somehow work and it releases your body from its stupor. You test your hoof and it is now moving.

Putt everything in my saddlebags and return to the party.

"… what are you doing?"

There is still one chest left unopened

You hear something weird, like scuffling outside though it is somewhat padded by something moist.

Your training as knight can tell that something is nearby and it is not alone. Most likely hoofsteps but you are not sure, your ears can catch though that it is splitting in two and is now going on both sides of the cottage though you are not sure how many or how far because of the moist grass, killing the noise.

Nothing out of the ordinary

Nothing nope nope, your paralysis however is gone and you felt great.

"Then patch our rumps when we get blasted back to the skyes! But stand with us, don't wait for 'em to come!"

"Heh, do I look like I have anywhere else I'd rather be? OR anywhere else to go?"

This is getting bad, you can hear more scuffling from the side and from the back. This cottage is getting surrounded.

You are panicking, you cant make out how many are there. Between three to four. Shit there may be more hiding.

"Yeah!! We wont eat yah po.."
"Shut up!"

So far you can tell that they are numerous and these are serious warriors. The single torch aflamed can tell that they are garbed in armor and using swords similar to that of Equestria but in a bigger scale. Those illuminated by the light are indeed seasoned veterans

You can tell that there is something wrong with the way he speaks, like he is hesitating or covering something. Though you can tell he is not lying about the fact that there are many of them because of the moving silloutes at his back.

You are afraid, your heart is pounding and somehow the magic that you felt coursing through your veins back then is gone. You are now shaking hard.

Give her a firm nod.

"Well I don't see you making any surefire plans"

Damnit. Cant. Get. This. pointy stabby thing hidden.

You calmed your nerves, somehow you are confident you can cast spells for now.

"stupid are you agitating them?"
"Quiet you."

"much.. hehe"
"By Ingvurds hand!"

"Hey Knight, Ah'm getting a bit uneasy here!"

"Yeah, no deal! You can either be stupid and attack us, potentially losing a lot of lives, or just take me alone and let my companions go free. And we're not animals!"

"Why don't you look for alternative routes? Like a tunnel or something. A secret passageway?"

"We should do what they say, and if they try anything begin a fray."

"You wanted that? Ah can telezapp all our butts outta here, ya know!"

I give her a look

"Well why didn't you say so before! Alright, that's your escape plan if things go bad… But I'm still a knight, I have a duty to uphold!"

"That might not be wise, what if something goes wrong and we lose our lives?"

By this time, all of you can hear some footsteps and clanking of iron just outside of the cottage. It is now completely surrounded.

"Ah'm with ya, Ah rather zap'em than zap me!"
"Duty'd be?"
Give her a strange look
"Shaddap for the love of…"

Turn to the rest of the party

"You guys be ready to teleport out if these soldiers turn out to be of the dishonorable sort…"

Head to the door, turn one last time to the party.

"Now would be a good time to show off your magic to impress them!"

Then open the door and walk out

Show Off magic? HELL YEAH!
Shoot a fireball in the air!
"Stand right there and don't move!"

Push her back

"Not you! Me alone!"

"Stop it silly gurl, we be all goin together!"

"That wasn't the deal! They're going to feel threatened!"

I push past her.

"And yer' goin to walk into a trap all by yerself?
At least let's make double time and go the two of us, Ah can telezap our butts back inside!"

You saw, maybe ten to fifteen tall looking primates, clad in metal and chains armor, mimicking technology that of Equastria. They held long bladed weapons. You can tell however that these are not all of them since those shuffling heard earlier are not made by only fifteen men.

One of the soldiers starts to walk towards you with a face that looks somewhat brave and seasoned. He appears to relax a bit with your cooperation but….

a sudden burst of flame coming from Korona made him stand on his feet. Seeing the group, their eyes widen and all of you can hear some gasp or in awe.

"So… it is true."

"They… They fell for that backfire?"
"AHAHAH! Yes, Ah Am the powerful mage, Koranna! Fear my wrath shall, those who hurt mha friends!"
Ahahah… right?

"Who among you are to be taken and who among you are to be set free."

"Of course it's true! We could boil you all alive if we wanted to!"

"My friends are to have a free pass, I will accompany you without struggle in return."

"No deal zigga! We all be goin' here, or ya ugly apes gonna get zapped!"

"We are all going free. If your have any other ideas I suggest that you flee."

"Hey, don't you go weak on me! GET GOING!"

"Ah'm comin back, ya heard me?"

None so far as you as you can see. There are a lot of soldiers around, seemingly chilled by you and your friends presence.
Marching is already tied up and you and the others are free to go.

How many of these fuckers?

One of them has already closed your mouth with bindings.

Roll my eyes

Fifteen soldiers are present, though you can see there are some just standing back in the shadow of the night.

Okay this is bad. Go back inside the house and find the others
"We gotta leave. Now."

slowly head off into the woods, and duck behind a bush

follow her.

You saw Miiba in the cottage and follows you.

You saw in the shadows that there are 20 more men hiding along the three line. About thirteen of them appears to be farmers and not geared for fighting while the others stares at you, prepared.

They are then called by their leader and walked back to stand guard. Some of them are standing are already positioning themselves near the cottage ready to guard it.

One of them carries you on their back.

"Put it in the carraige and make sure the locks of the cage is set in place. We do not know what these creatures are capable of."
"But sir. Erasmus has tol… "
"Shut it. He is slave and a slave will always be a slave. Lending them your ears are a waste of your time so you shut it."

The guards puts you inside a cage and locks it. You are having a hard time moving because of the bindings. This uncomfortable situation is further intensified as the wagon starts to move. Two men are riding at the front glancing at you in fear.

"How should I know? You heard what that Erasmus and his cohorts are talking about."
"C.. can we trust this… thing? It might cast some spell or magic."
"Turn us into frogs?"
"Now you're being absurd."

The wagon begins to move, time would only tell where it would lead too.

Nope, nope you lost them. I mean you two are lost in the woods if not..

Both of them stare at you with fear to the point that the one driving the carriage almost did not notice the curvature of the road.
"…… w.. what?"

Korona, Miiba and Liune, are with each other. As all of you work your way to the forest, the three of you end up near another field full of wheat/grain.
In the distance there is some movement besides the swaying of the wheats from the cold wind.

Appears to be some kind of animal, perhaps a pony too? It looks like its drinking in the water or something but with all these wheats obscuring your vision its hard to tell.
OOC: wow I forgot that. weapons are still retained.

One of them look at you with curiosity while the other is even more afraid.

"W… we should burn it, it is maybe some witches familiar."
"Perhaps not, I heard tales of dragons and such. Perhaps those are not tales at all."
"But it looks evil, do you see the way it sneers at us?"
"Per.. no, look at the sky."

He points at the sun
"How could you explain that?"
"I.. oh whatever speak with that thing, I'm driving."

As you approach, the thing in the distance stands on two legs and begins to skip around, disappearing from the swaying wheats. It appears to be carrying some sort of bucket.

"Wow, you really do have a name? I… I am Hodvar and this is Arvel. I'm one of the farmers in here and he's one of our hired soldiers to watch this island farming community."
"You're a slave once, dont you forget that."
"And you are a drunkard always. Stop going to my barn and drinking all my ale."

He then looks again at you.
"Are… you those responsible for stopping the rain?"

head back to the others
"It's another one of those ape things. It might lead to wherever Marching Dawn was taking. Lets follow"
try to be stealthy in following it

Roll #0 2 = 2

I cock an eyebrow

"Does it look like I'm a pegasus? Why don't you just ask your own weatherteam why there's no rain?"

Am I still in bonds by the way?

"Wait what do you even mean no more rain!? It was raining cats and dogs earlier!"

I nod and follow her.
'1d10' to be more stealthy than she is.

Roll #1 7 = 7

"Weather what? What are you saying??" He gives you a suspicious look.
"Also, it always rain for about a ten to eleven months a year with it stopping once or twice a week. My grandfather told me its been like this since he was a child but my grandfather often told me that his grandmother has said that it was not like this."

Both of you are hiding from the bushes incredibly good when….
You step on a broken branch and it breaks.
Silence followed.

Roll #1 3 = 3

So you aren't going to explain that one?
I take a ready stance in case something attacks us.

Roll #0 10 = 10

roll for initiative then?

Roll #0 3 = 3

"Well then make some clouds then! And don't give me that look damn you! Why do you think I have something to do with this all?"

Rolling initiative to save our striped buts.

Roll #0 7 + 1 = 8

File: 1352829763845.jpg (44.23 KB, 700x700, aa7.jpg)

He stops for awhile, taken back by your commanding tone of voice.

"I… I'm sorry. I really dont know what you are talking about. I saw one of your friends can do that flaming stuff so I assume you just magicked away the rain." He coughs a little and straightens himself.

"Its just there is a legend that everytime the sky stops raining during the raining seasons, magic is at work or something. Well that was what the other slaves told me.

All was silent when suddenly.

"What th- !?"
quickly run behind Miiba and Koranna

Roll #0 2 = 2

I lower my weapon but keep my shield raised.
"I believe our reaction should be mild. This is either a midget or a child."

"Sounds like a load of horsefeathers, the weatherteam just has to be slacking off or something!"

I grumble a little

"We just got here last night, I don't even know anything about this place."

Dive out of the way and try to make some light
"What are you?!"

Roll #0 3 = 3

"That was what Gunder told us when he came storming out in the middle of the storm. Some sort of small magical animals talking he says and he was afraid. Since he mentions magic, I thought you are the one's who stopped the rain."
He was lost in thought for a moment.
"Weather team? Flying? Pegasus? What do you mean about that?"

"Wah! So cute!" She starts to approach all of you.

"Wah! It can talk!" She smiles with glee.

"Yo monster Ah dunno what's gotten into you, but ya better stand back before Ah blast yer face to Tartarus!
You things took one of us already!"
Make some fire around me to make my point.

Roll #0 6 + 2 = 8

slowly back away
"N-not cool. Stay back! back I say!"
are there any bodies or dead around?

Roll #0 9 = 9

I cock an eyebrow

"You know, the ones responsible for the weather and stuff! They make clouds and move them around to change the weather! But I'm an Earth pony, so I can't do stuff like that."

brb in 15

"I do not think there is cause for alarm. It looks too small to cause any harm."

"Down on the ground you must sit, before you cause a violent fit."

Rolling just because.

Oh hey look at that.

Roll #0 5 = 5

"Ibetthosethingssaidthesameaboutus Your call stripey butt"
stay behind him just in case

"It has no knife nor club nor axe nor blade. I see no reason to be afraid."

"Wow, if that is so, then we need those pegasus thingies around here! The rains and thunderstorms are getting hard on the crops. Perhaps I wo…."
"Hey, come on Hodvar. We are near the granaries. We are going to fetch those grain stealers from last night remember?"
"Oh yes yes sorry."
Hodvar turns at you. "Well it was nice talking to you but we are arriving near one of Halfstead granaries."

Indeed there was a silo and some barns in the distance.

"WOW!! MAGIC MAGIC!!" She jumps up with joy.

For some reason, you can feel two or three dead bodies nearby, though it is like its been there for a long time.

"Down? Ah! More magic more magic!" she sits down and waited.

"So you're just going to leave me in this cage like some kind of a wild animal? Where's your leader!?"

>for a long time.
nevermind, can't do anything about those.
"Keep this one occupied, i'm gonna scan out"
try and find a town or house this thing could have come from

Roll #0 2 = 2

I try to raise a pillar of brambles out of the ground nearby.

Roll #0 9 = 9

I need to leave in about 10 minutes.

Roll #0 3 = 3

"WAH!! How did you do that?!" She jumps in glee.

"There are two structures nearby but from what it looks like, one appears to be a barn while another one appears to be an old house."

Both look at each other, Arvel smirks and try to hold his laughter while Hodvar scratch his head. Arvel then spouts.

"If you're going to ask me, you're an animal that can talk and since all of you and your friends are in this farm, then that means all of you are property of the Halfsteads."
"Well…. perhaps they can talk but they are animals still."

You can see that the wagon stops nearby the granary. Three men holding swords and axes approach, in tow at the back of them is are two children with their hands bound.

"Hey, Arvel you snake! What take you so long? Its tiring guarding these damn thiefs!"

get closer, try to get a better view

Roll #0 5 = 5

"With Nature I have a close connection. Powers it gives for my worship to show it's affection."
I raise another pillar a few meters away from the last one.
Does Child of Gaia come into play here?

Roll #0 3 + 1 = 4

I glower at the two but say nothing more

the hell it wouldn't, we're still out in nature. unless farming isn't considered nature

It is quiet on both house though you can smell something cooking from the inside.

She stare at the twisting roots, in awe at the sight.
"Wow! I like to keep you, no all of you!" She approaches and began to hug you while stroking your mane. She then stares at you wide eyed.
"I cooked today! Maybe cute pony's hungry? I can bring food in barn if you like?" she smiles.

Not minding your dissatisfaction, Arvel goes down the carriage and smacks one of the children tied.
"So these are the two rats getting grains from the granaries. How did you find them?"
"Oh Blackthorn has caught them red-handed. Goes by their hut one day and one way or another, has made them admit of their crimes. That man knows how to extract confessions if you ask me."
"Pff… does not matter. Hey maybe the three of you want a ride? We shall carry the three captives to the barracks and see what Gunder and Bors judgement to them."
"Oh thank you, thank you.

You saw two children both bound in hand. One appears to be male and other is female, both are already staring at you as the three soldiers board them up the wagon. They too board the wagon and stare at you in awe. With that, the wagon began to move.
"What is this thing?"

"You're the one to talk, hairless ape…"

File: 1352834798059.jpg (43.05 KB, 700x700, aa8.jpg)

"By Ingvurds beard!!" The man draws a dagger.
"Calm down. It is harmless and appears to be smart not to cause harm as long as we guard it." Hodvar said.
"B… but…"

THe three soldiers stare at you mixed with fright and awe. You look different from the normal equines that reside here. First and foremost they are large, and appears to be dumb.
One soldier and the two tied up child stare at you with curiosity.
"Is it safe?" Ask the girl.

"I haven't done anything and I've been locked up by these two apes here. I was told that I would get to meet your leader but apparently the word honor and promise mean nothing to you savages."

"Oh my! It can…"
"You shut your mouth theif!" the soldier slaps the boy, he then looks at you again and ask Arvel.

"Hey Arvel, what is this… horse talking about."
"Little thing is impatient and wants to meet the master, or the ownder of this farm. Well, as the master wants to see it too. They will meet soon enough."
"Is it this irritating."
"Hah, if given the chance I will give it a beating and give it some manners." Arvel then laughs.
"Dont be stupid. You know these creatures are magical, you saw what one did back there." Hodvar counters.
"Well whatever."

The road is nearing one large house that. It is surrounded by wheat fields, many farmers are already taking the advantage of the sun in the sky, minding not the prisoners in the carraige.

I snort at this Arvel and taunt him

"Ha, me? Fight you? Do you like pain or something? You think you can take on a knight, ape? You don't even know how magic works, how backwards can you be?"

He stands up and is about to jump to the cage if not for Hodvar stopping him.
"WHAT DO YOU SAY YOU LITTLE HORSE!! I'll LET YOU KNOW THAT I AM A TRAINED WARRIOR AND FOUGHT IN THE WITHERING WARS! I'VE GOT 45 CONFIRMED KILLS AND I AM AN ACCOMPLISHED.." He appears to be angry yet looks incredibly foolish and silly until Hodvar covers his mouth.
"Excuse us for his attitude. He can be mouthful at times."
"Let me go HMMHPPH!!"

The carraige appears to have stopped at the large house. Nearby there is a commotion already happening with some hairless apes already gathered talking with each other.

I smirk

"He's cute."

The three soldiers goes down and carries the two children down with them. One of the soldiers talks with Hodvar and Arvel, with that both of them goes to grab something under the carriage and produce something in what appears to be some sort of dog collar. They then approach the cage.

"I dont know if this is a good idea but Master Halfstead told us to leash you and brought to him and his sons instead of us carrying this whole cage." Hodvar said.
"I'll pull it."
"No you dont, you may agitate it."

Roll #0 8 = 8

I breathe in and out again a few times and calm myself

"Right then, put the damn collar on if you're going to be scared of me like a bunch of little foals."

File: 1352838162789.jpg (40.72 KB, 700x700, aa9.jpg)

Both of them are taken aback by your outrage. Who knows ponies can get angry at something trivial as names and stuff.

"… oh, yes. We will leash you then." Horvald begans to unlock the door.
"We should also take that barding… I mean that armor of yours too now that I remember." Arvel retorts.
"Yes, his son Bors told me to do that. If we may… uhhmmm… Ms. Dawn?"

I narrow my eyes at them and take off my iron armor

"Sun and Moon help you if you wreck it. My family spent a good chunk of bits on it."

Both of then look at each other, slightly weirded out .

"Sun and moon what?"
"Dont mind her, just put on the leash so that we can begin."

Hodvar slowly begins to wrap the collar around your neck. He test the collar on your neck to see if it is secure. He the lightly pulls you to signal you to go down the carraige and follow them.
One of the soldier that is supposed to guard the child thieves is eyeing you suspiciously though.

Stick out my tongue at the soldier and follow suit, grumbling all the while

The apes brought you upon the crowd. Their talks are incomprehensible but you can make out some talks regarding you, the events last night and how it stopped raining in the middle of the flooded seasons. Appears you are the talk of the whole farming community.

"It looks cute."
"Its small."
"Is it true its the one who stops the rain?"
"Be careful I heard they eat people."
"I heard that griffons exist too."

You are then brought upon a familiar face, talking to two men in armor. It is Gunder.

"*murmur*… Oh, I will talk to you later Bors."
"Psh… I see then, alright you two! Bring that thing here! Dont forget those thieves over there."

"I have a name you know. I know that you savage monkeys don't have any sense of honor or respect but you could at least stop referring to me as 'thing' you uneducated ape!"

File: 1352841067079.jpg (38.83 KB, 700x800, aa10.jpg)

The man who shouted the command stares at you. He then approach with great strides, the crowd going from loud chats to whispering comments. Arvel slowly backs away.
"Savages… " He smirks.

He then swings his scabbard at you, targeting your body.

Roll #0 7 + 2 = 9

Your small frame flies and lands roughly. That hits harder than you have thought. Your body now aches at the impact. Your ribs, though tough is crying out in pain.

"BORS THATS ENOUGH!!" You heard Gunder shouted.
"But that thing call…"
"Just get here."
*sigh*, He returns back to the crowd.

"Hey are you okay?" Holvard helps you up.

I spit on the ground

I clutch my ribs

"Filthy cheap shotting wastrel…"

Roll #0 2 = 2

"You see that Berto, I've just go easy on that thing but I trust it that you see that thing fly…"
It appears he does not hear or pretends not to hear your comment about fair play. He then slaps the chest of a man younger than him that appears to have choked a little. Gunders appears to be speaking with a man in poor clothing while his two sons joins in to hear the conversation.

Arvel looks at you, his eyes appears to be sympathetic at your situation.
"Free advise, learn to shut your trap in front of that man. Bors is crazy if you ask me."
"He's a warrior of the Joms right?"
"He is one in the past but now, he is part of the retinue of Lord Ademarik. Just visiting his father these days when this poor mare appear."
"Well I hope they dont do anything bad to her. If they have plans to sell her to the market. Her price might fluctuate do…"
"Shut it." Arvel covers Hodvars mouth.

"ehehehe. To be honest, Gunder "heavy handed" Halfstead is a nice guy so I am sure he might go light on you little horse. I dont know about those two thieves there….

I snarl at the two

"Do you even have any idea what you're messing with here? How stupid are you all, really? Instead of taking the diplomatic route you just mistreat me like a piece of garbage? You think you monkeys even stand a chance against the Empire? Against Equestria?"

I spit on the ground again

"If you're lucky they'll kill you all swiftly in a swift bombardment. If not they'll just freeze you all to death in a neverending winter. WHICH I CAN ASSURE YOU IS A LITTLE MORE DEVASTATING THAN A LACK OF RAIN!"

"Equestria? Is that some horse nation or something?" Arvel looks at you confused.
"That name, sounds gay."
"I've got to agree."
"I mean, equestrian. Just take of the 'n' and you have an Empire. Thats lazy work there."
"I agree, perha… oh they are getting started."

The small crowd of farmer began to quiet down as a speaker steps up.
"Guards bring them here."

Avrel looks at you.
"Well you look defiant. I like that trait of yours but you got to know when to fold. We will see if the master has heard this Equestria thing you said." He then pulls your leash. You also saw the two thief being brought forward.

OOC: continue?

"Yes, I'm defiant! And I wont fold to you, I came here as a diplomat and am being treated like a prisoner! I even gave in willingly because I didn't want to harm any of you, instead you treat me as some kind of a lowly animal."

Sure, if you are up for it

"Suit yourself." with that he puills you and place you in front of the six men before you. You then saw Gunder approach you.

"I think we have met before. I am deeply sorry for how I reacted earlier or how my son has treated you. I know you knew my name but let me reintroduce myself. I am Gunder Halfstead and this is my farm."

OOC: Paused since I am getting groggy.

I glower at him

"My name is Marching Dawn. Knight of the Trotantine Empire. And very upset, that too."

File: 1352889118328.jpg (52.75 KB, 700x900, aa11.jpg)

He scratch his head then returns to his seat.
"I agree that something like you would be upset. I mean an animal that can talk and think would also mean that it has feelings that might or might not be similar to us humans. I am very sorry if some of us mistreated you." He then clasp his hand and drum his finger.

Some of the crowd began to talk with each other, most are nonsensical but all of them are quite fascinated upon seeing that you are not only able to talk but also communicate with them. Arvel is eyeing you for some reason, still trying to grasp the situation at hand.

Gunder then looks at you.
"Look, you came from an empire you say. So far I've not heard any sort of empire of that name. I mean an empire where talking animals roam specially. Where is this… Trotantine thing you are talking about… Dawn?"

"How am I supposed to know? You didn't even give us the chance to figure out our way out of here before you arrested me. I don't know what this place is myself, so I have no idea where the way home is."

"Herd them, brand them, they are in our land so they are our property right father?"
GUnder give Bors an alarmed stare.

I stomp a hoof on the ground angrily

"As long as you stupid monkey don't see reason this problem wont get solved! And yes, you can hunt the rest of my group down, but how many of your soldiers are you willing to risk? Tell me, what if more of us somehow end up here? Are you really willing to risk any chance at diplomacy because you're too stupid and arrogant to see reason?"

"love, hate?"
"Then its not a normal animal."
"Perhaps a familiar of the witch!"
"Speak of the devil."
"Oh shut up. Gnut told us it is lost in his fathers shack."
"But it maybe dangerous."
"It is cute if you ask me."
"but blah blah blah!!"
"blah blah blah!"
The crowd is slowly getting stirred up by your tantrum. There are already talks of sorcery, witch in the forest and something more sinister.

Gunder is already holding both his temples when one of his advisers whisper something to his ears. He then look at you again, this time with stern eyes.
"It appears you are indeed a… being of intelligence like you claim. Well it is evident of course with the way you talk and all."
"Uhhmm master, dont…"
"Yes yes. Perhaps it is time to talk diplomacy with you. State your intention and needs then we will see and weigh if your demands can be met."

"Pssh…" You see Bors and Berto is staring at you.

Roll #0 6 = 6

"My intention is to find out how me and my friends got here and how I can get back home!"

I glance over at the crowd

"And no I'm a knight, not a damn witch!"

Turn back to Gunder

"And by that end, a knight helps those in need. So if you had just kept this simple from the beginning and just talked this over I could have been helping out with your troubles as well."

Gunder ponders for a bit, in deep thought when Bors suddenly stand up.
"I say we put it inside a cage. Teach it to learn some manners when talking to his superiors. What does the people say?" He addressed the crowd.

Roll #0 3 + 2 = 5

"Superiors? I bet you can't even beat me in a fair fight, monkey."

I smirk

"Nor in a spelling contest."

"perhaps Bors is right."
"But what if it get angry."
"It is angry."
"Its cute when its angry."
"I cant trust that thing, it is not natural."
"Unnatural if you ask me."
"What did it said? I did not say it was a witch?"
"I thought she was a witch."
"But what if she was a familiar?"
"blah blah blah…"

Gunder is taken back by this turn of events. He then looks at you sadly.
"Perhaps it is for your own good to be put to captivity for awhile Ms. Dawn. Maybe later or if not tommorow we can talk about your situation and to where we can find your friends. If things goes alright, perhaps we can ask our shipwright, Balder the stormcrow if he had heard such a kingdom in the mainland."

He looks at you with mistrust and disgust. You saw he was going for the scabbard again.
"Bors, as your father I order you to stand down."
"….. Perhaps some other time."
"*sigh*… what say you, Miss dawn?"

"I say your son is a milkdrinker who cannot hope to beat me in a fight! I'd like to challenge him to a fight to teach him a damn lesson! Just cut the crap already. Either you kill me now or you allow me to go free so we can help each other. But I! Will! not! Be treated as a piece of garbage by a bunch of apes!"

I beat a hoof on my chest defiantly to show them I'm not impressed or scared by their antics

"I've gone through worse than this. Believe me when I say that I will not yield easily."

The crowd begins to stir at your challenge, they are now aware that a spectacle is about to take place.

W.. what??" Gunder is aghast.
"Let me father."
"What?? You will be taking this challenge seriously? From a horse?"
Bors smiles. "Cant you smell it father, or has time dulled your senses. A warrior can tell that thing is a warrior by the smell." He then retrieves his sword.

"I.. I… " Gunder cant think straight.
"Look father, she issues a formal challenge to me and I cant deny lest I be branded as a coward. Arvel, untie her and give that thing something. We shall see how magic fares with brute strenght.

Arvel looks at you.
"Whoa…. I dont know if you can even grasp something…. any weapon that you specifically needed?"

"Give me back my armor and a longsword and I'll make this milkdrinker squeal like a little piggy. Hah! I don't even need magic here!"

"Oh… right." he retrieves your armor and gave it to you.
"Perhaps you need a sword. Here." He unsheates his sword and gave it to you.

Hold it and give it a few swings.

Is it a longsword? A claymore? A zweihander?

Also, put my armor back on

Roll #0 3 = 3

Its a normal looking sword, dull at some certain parts but good enough. For your stature it might work as a great sword.
The sky is bright today, some of the farmers are cheering while the others are scowling, being weirded out by the situation at hand. Perhaps it is a good day for a fight.
"So are you ready?"

OOC: just assist me on where I might go wrong on the fight

I crack my neck a few times and snort, tapping my hoof on the ground.

"Of course I am."

Take on a ready battlestance

Roll #0 8 = 8

File: 1352897056386.jpg (59.35 KB, 700x700, aa67.jpg)

With that, declaration. You saw Bors charge at you with incredible speed.

Roll #0 6 = 6

OOC: do your thing.

That 8 was my initiative roll by the way, to counter anything he does to me

OOC: still getting used to combat.

He goes fast, and swings his sword to you.

forgot to roll arg.

Roll #0 6 + 4 = 10

But I won initiative right? So I got a hit on him?

Anyway, activate Last Stand and stand my ground, then use Power attack on him.

Roll #0 1 = 1

You missed quiet badly to the point that you open yourself. Only through your skill and experience in combat are you able to get your bearings and block his sword. Its weight is heavy and powerful to the point you are pushed 5 feet away from each other. No harm came from you so far but that neglectfulness manage to chip your weapon.

Even with that he continually pursues you and he attacks again

Roll #0 7 + 4 = 11

I do the same! Power Attack on him again!

Roll #0 2 + 2 = 4

That is a very close call again if not for your skills. He swung his sword in an arc and you just manage to duck at the right time. His eyes is white and he shouts with complete abandon. Your trust is too short and not able to reach his vital parts, but you are slowly reading his moves. Perhaps one more and you may get a good hit. Both of you are still unharmed in combat.

THe crowd goes wild, Gunders mouth is agape at what is happening in front of him. Even some of the guards are in awe at your skills.

He goes for it again. This time he swings very hard.

Roll #0 6 + 4 = 10

I glower and use Protect on Gunder

"Don't worry, I got you covered!"

Power attack on Bor! Put my back into it this time!

Roll #0 1 + 2 = 3

File: 1352899481161.jpg (58.19 KB, 700x700, aa77.jpg)

Both of your swords clash, however you miscalculated again this time and with that, your sword shatters, leaving behind half of it in your possesion.

You roll on the ground just in time to avoid that massive swing. While you are lying on the ground you saw him again staring at you with white eyes. He shouts again and charges.

Roll #0 4 + 4 = 8

… damn

Roll out of the way and get up from my helplessness

Roll #0 6 = 6

You are able to stand up just in time but without repercussion. That swing hits you hard at the back and was able to go through your armor and hit your side. It is a deep wound and is quite painful. Take one hit.

Also you see your sword is cut in half. Though usable it may not be that effective. Thank God it retains an edge at the tip.
Great sword is now one handed sword. Also one more bad parry would cause it to shatter.

He saw you again, thirsting for blood he tries to suppress and bring you down.

Roll #0 7 + 2 = 9

Activate Last Stand again and headbutt him in his weak spot!

Roll #0 2 = 2

It was too late, before you are able to get your bearings, Bors is able to trip you down. You realize you are quite vulnerable again and he capitalizes the situation by driving his sword downward to you.

Roll #0 3 + 4 = 7

Kick his sword out of his hands and tackle him

Roll #0 9 = 9

That is something handy. Your back legs kick in the air and is able to kick his sword out of his hand as he was going for that attack. You try to tackle however your prone position is not enough to give you the boost to jump at him. You are still lying on the floor.

Seeing his sword lying not far, he did not hesitate to grab for his dagger and try to drive that blade in you.

Roll #0 4 = 4

Scramble away and go grab that sword!

Roll #0 5 = 5

You are able to turn the clock around but not that much. As you stand up, you are able to grab his sword but barely enough to lift it, surprised by its weight.

Seeing you going for it He try to wrestle you around for his sword.

Roll #0 3 = 3

Too late, the sword is in your hoof now.

Roll #0 6 = 6

Get back up and kick at him

Roll #0 5 = 5

That work quite greatly. He is now away from you. -4 hits on bors. The sword is now in your hand and you are standing up to boot.

Enrage he goes again and attacks you with the dagger in hand.

Roll #0 4 = 4

This is a +2 sword right?

Activate Last Stand again

"Hold it now, time for you to bleed!"

Put everything I have into bring down the sword on him

Roll #0 5 + 4 = 9

As he charges, you are able to swing the heavy sword at him, putting a good dent on his chainmail armor. You noticed the sword is of exquisite nature. Perhaps an heirloom of masterwork origin. It was balanced and very strong and sharp indeed. He is now down to 2 hits.

Noticing what you have done to him, he brings down his shield and prepare. You began to realize he is taking a stance. A stance all too familiar to you. He then gets in very close and shield bashes you.
Last stand active.

OOC: This will really take longer than usual.. D:

Roll #0 10 = 10

Duck and swipe at his legs!

Roll #0 5 + 4 = 9

File: 1352903406595.jpg (38.02 KB, 700x700, aa75.jpg)

That plan does not work at all. Even with all your strength plus the weight of his sword, your pony body is not able to trip him down. He bashes you hard but you are able to jump back in time to remain unharmed by his attack.

Breathing hard, he smiles and relaxes a bit.
"Good Good!! Even among my comrades in arms, I can count with my two hands those who are able to stand against you. My instincts are right then, you are a warrior worthy of respect."

You see him lower his guard sheating his dagger in the process.
"I am humbled by your tenacity and strength knight. It is a good fight but I am not one to waste potentials such as yourself, even if it is not my own kind 'Equestrian'."

The crowd in a frenzy at the moment begins to chatter again. All are still happy to see the skills shown in combat by the two fighters.

Rip that damned collar off and toss the sword back over to him

"That's right, milkdrinker. I'm a knight."

Roll #0 4 = 4

As you throw that goddamn collar out of the way and declared your prowess, the crowd roars! Many of the watchers are shocked at the display of combat. Many more are even shouting but all are entertained at the duel that they saw.

Gunders mouth hangs agaped, he then rushes to his son to see if he was wounded.
"Are you alright? She almost had you!! Dont be that foolish!"
"I know, I know father. Dont nag like that!"
"Whatever, I am still your father so you have to listen to me."

Bors look at you.
"You are an Equestrian right? A magical being that comes from the land of the rising sun. The bringers of light and warmth in this dark times."

I cock an eyebrow

The crowd shouts are enough indication that you are accepted in this community. Your bravery, skills and tenacity(nonetheless your hard-headed stubborness) has payed off.

Gunder looks at you.
"Yes, that is a deep wound on your side. Perhaps one of our… I hope you dont mind but our veterenarian would be the one checking on you Miss. Dawn. Perhaps we would arrange a small place for you to stay while we the elders talk about the situation at hand. Trust me you will be in good hands."

He whistled to two person at the crowd.
"Attend to her wounds, let those two rascal be her personal guard. We cant be too careful."
"Uhhmnn.. yes Master."

The two men approach and examines you.
"Perhaps we need to take that armor of you." one of the vet said.

You can also see one of the soldiers is attending Bors concussins.

Drop the armor then.

"As long as I don't have to sit on my flank and do nothing all day long I'm content."

One of them looks at you rather strangely.

They then attend to your wounds.
Also roll if exhausted or not.

"Oh.. oh!! Nothing!" He attends to your wounds. Though shabby work, it will hold.

Some of the crowd of farmers are dispersing now but many still remains. It is nearing afternoon but the wind is still cold and damp, the clouds up in the sky are almost not there. Gunder then approach you.

"I've send word to my guards not to harm your friends if they ever met them in the fields. I am really planning to lock you and your friends up because I am afraid that you are wild. Appears I am wrong with my conclusion then."
He then stretches a bit.
"My guards and the vets will show you to your lodging. It is a small house not used for a long time. Perhaps later we will call you. My son Bors and one of our slaves Tukalos wants to talk to you privately."

One of the guards approach Gunders and whispered to him.
"Ah yes the two thieves. I will attend to them."

The little girl looks at Miiba and starts to point at the barn next to the house that Liune is scouting.
"Ah! Ah! I cooked food and papa is resting! I'll bring food and you can show me magic tricks!!"
She smiles, waiting for an answer.

"Father, I need you to put two guards near Marching Dawns quarters and let one of our vets take close watch. Her wound might need a day or two for it to close."
"Ah yes yes. Avrel, Hodvar. Escort her to the shack near Guinevere's. So far that will prove adequate."
With that, Gunder goes back to the crowd.

Avrel, Hodvar and a vet comes nearby and looks and gives you a curious look.
"So, it appears we will stick together longer then?"

return to Miiba and Koranna
"There's a farm not far up ahead. One of those ape things might be cooking"

"This one wants us to go over there.
How big is the thing inside?"

I nod firmly

"Think you can handle me for a while longer?"

I glance over to where Gunder went, is he busy with them kids?

"I'm not going in there! I might get caught!"

"Hey kid, who else is around here?"

My stomach growls.
"I would not want to intrude, but I am quiet hungry for some food. While in your barn we dwell, about us you should not your father tell."

"But some of the things might know where the knight is!"

"You… want to go back!?"
"Yea bu… she sa-…. fuck it, lets go"

"Nice pony!"
Give him a confident smile.
"Let's go, thing!"

"The foal says the nearby adults number only one, which is a number we can easily outrun."

Liune is a she
smile back
"You lead the way then…"

"Ah. Papa old and tired. I care him and he rest in bed. He only go up to plow and get crops when he's well. But as you say so little… uhhmm.. striped pony."

"My papa and me lives there! He is nice and proper." She gives you a smile.

He is listening to the argument so far. Several of the guards are making accusing the two kids and presenting a sack of flour and some dried meat as evidence. So far gunders adviser is whispering to his ears.

"Of course we can handle you. The thing is, that stab wound is a little deep I might say. Want to let us hitch you a ride then?" Avrel prepares the carriage.

"Bring us there then!"

"Eugh…. yea alright, Miiba. Lead the way. I'm no fighter or scout so I can't help much in that respect"

"A zebra I am, little mam."
I start walking towards the barn.
"Food for magic: that is the trade. That is the deal that has been made."

"AH! YAY!!"
She leads you to the front of the barn, she then slowly opens it and the smell of dried up hay and wheat permeates outside, with a hint of onion to boot. So far it is spacious. An unlit lantern hangs on the side and only one horse is visible which immedietely looks at the newcomers. Some chickens can be heard on the chicken coop nearby.

"Ahaha! I'll get some food, wait in here." She smiles and run inside.

So far, there are two windows way high up. There are two doors, one where you came from and one on the far end that appears to be locked because of a long thick stopper blocking it.

There is no old thing in the barn, only a horse that is staring at the party.

The large stacks of hay is quite good indeed. Several of the barrels appears to be acceptable and that ladder leads way high up to a second docking though only boxes appears to be on it.

Quiet takes over, only the rustling of the wind can be heard outside. The sun is high and bright and the clouds seems to be disappaering all together giving view of the vast blue sky.

I lie down on the hay and wait.
"Have any of you heard of a place like this before? It has no part in my people's lore."

"Mmmm… sure. What will happen to those two?"

I motion over to the two kids

Shake my head.
"No zigga I know ever told me about talking apes."
Turn to the kid.
"So, 'bout the food…"

File: 1353005521497.jpg (39.49 KB, 700x700, aa13.jpg)

The kid has come back, bringing some bread, carrots and some kind of red soup. It is slightly cold by now but appears to be tasty.
"Ahaha! Eat eat! I'll go tend papa and eat with him. Maybe later we can play together hmm??" She whispers to you.

She then speds off.
Yeah, all of your tummies grumble at the sight of the food.

"Naah.. mostly their hands will be cut off. They are taking food since last three month it appears. There are only twenty guards roaming around our part of the island so it is easy for thieves to sneak by. Some of them are even armed too."

It's not polite to refuse food!
"Ah dig it!"
Yeah, that.
Dig right in. Rolling for TASTE!!

"I agree. This is a land that I wish to flee."

The bread is too hard without dipping it in the tomato soup.

Tomato soup has too much water in it that the 'tomato' part is almost negligable.
All in all it is fills your apetite at least.

Nothing stirs so far, except for that horse. It is still staring at the party.

"Well they are thieves and that is the law as far as I know and the law must be met unless we appear to be lenient. Then all of them will go loot around and such dont you think?" Avrel looks at you curiously.
"I myself think its harsh but its the law as they say." Hodvar added.

"I was not thinking at all.
We must find their leader, or something!"

It looks at you then huffs and then resumes eating some of the hay nearby.
Barn party roll.

"Partly a shame of course but that is justice. I dont know but it all ends up with the master. If he decides to cut then cut. If not then we guards only follows him since he is the one who feeds and pays."

The wagon begins to move, in the distance you see the two kids are then beaten by the Gunder with a thick stick while the gathered crowd disperse.
Everything is quiet along the road, the vast blue sky and the radiant sun is really a welcome sight that the three is smiling and in such a good mood.

You can feel something is pulling out that healing magic of yours but somehow you are able to will it into existance.
That did the trick, nothing that harmful. Only minor burns that was immedietely relieved because of your healing magic.

While you are healing her you saw her eyes widen at the glow coming from your hooves, like she was hypnotized or something.
"wow…. "
Well, whatever it is you are trying to cast to douse the fire. It did not simply work. It like the magic you are trying to use does not exist at all.
The fire is still small however but it is catching wind.
"Uwahh! THE Fire the fire!!" She hurries to get a pale and get water to the nearby source to douse the fire.

Both look at you.
"Well… she is a cute horse." Hodvar exclaims.

Yours and the childs combined effort puts the fire out of its misery.
Wow thats a close call, but with that the three of you saw her laughing.
"WAAHAHAHAHA!! That's close! Magic is great!" She then hops up and approach all of you looking mopey.

"I'm sorry. I go to the small hole at the east to surprise you. I dont think little ponies dont want to be surprised…. "

"That doesnt stop you from being cute. Right Ketel?" Avrel said.
"Oohh.. yes right!"
"Anyway we are nearby that cottage, just hoping your friends dont react badly if some of the guards do find them."

Its true, you are seeing a nearby cottage in the middle of the field.

Nod at her.

I let out an annoyed huff and cross my legs

"I am not that cute…"

"Uwahh.. where will little ponies go?" She appears to be sad, holding the empty bowl in where the tomato soup was poured earlier.

So far, what you remember is the path leading to the first barn and cottage that your party has gone earlier. The river is long and it appears to connect several of communities if one follows it. One of the forest lies between this barn to that of the earlier barn.

The sky is cloudless now though the wind is cold.

"Well that is settled then."
You are at the cottage. It is of moderate size. To the east of it, a land ready to be used for planting lays flat. Just a few walking distance to the west lies a river but the nearby well is of better use.

The two guards goes down the carriage and scans the area, Ketel approach you.
"We are here, but if you like… I.. I would like to check on your wound.

"Yeah sure, go ahead. I don't want to get an infection."

Do I still have my armor on? If so take it off.

"Out. if we need, we'll be back."

"where do you think we should search?"

"I say we rush the town, burn everything and get our friend outta there!"

"…really? Did you see how many of them there were back there!? I don't have enough energy in this world to keep you going like that!

"We go out to look for our taken friend, and if necessary give her captors a grizzly end. We may need a place to hide, and your barn is a place where we will not be caught and tied."

"Fire seems to be your obsession. I urge you, stripy sister, to use some discretion."

As both of you are talking to each other. You hear the thundering of hooves to the east.
Roll for.. something.

"Grizzly end? What is that?" She looks at you with awe.

In the distance, about four riders. One is clad in armor while the three are wearing normal attire but in their back they are carrying crossbow bolts. In a few seconds they will be arriving at the nearby house.
"Uwaah. Papa's guards. Quick hide!" She rans outside.

He begans to replace your bandages with fresh ones, he also apply some sort of oil and by the gods did that relieve some of the discomfort from the pain.

However… the way he is breathing… the way he is touching you.. something is.. wrong. You dont mind him brushing your mane from time to time, but you swear that that he squeezes your flank a time or two.

No worries on your part, they arrived and goes to the nearby house instead of the barn. Liune kicked the nearby barrel and it fell spilling some of the onions inside but the newly arrived guard did not noticed.

You have a vantage point. You can see from the window that the guards are asking an old man from the door. The little child is playing nearby and was listening to the conversation when she joined in.

"…. Uhmmmm… yes yes, I am finished." He cuts the bandage using a knife.
"Hey whats the delay? Are you finished bandaging her?" Avrel shouted.
"Yes yes! I will carry her then."

With that you are surprised that he did carry and hug your small frame as he goes down the cart with you along.

"Hey now, watch yourself!"

"Hey Miiba! You know what's going on!?

I try to overhear them.

"Not yet."

You cant hear anything about what they said. All of the guards laugh for a moment, one of them makes some swinging motion that looks like a sword while the other jovially roar. The old man looks unimpressed but notions them to come inside. The little child then rans to the barn and enter.

She looks around curiosly as if mystified?
"Little pony? Little pony? Where are you?" She looks around.

"No worries, I will be the one watching you. I will take good care of you and nurse you back to health."
Those would be endearing words indeed if not for the way he hugs you and the way he smells your mane. Ketil then carries you inside the cottage, while Arvel and Horvald is out carrying down some of the supply foods for the place.

"She? Will your species freak out if us they see?"

"Wait what!?"

"Where is she? Do you know?"

"Doing what? I'm just making sure you are not hurt. Horvald and Arvel would not know how to carry an injured mare so as a vet, it is my duty you will not be harmed." He looks at your eyes.
Well he is taking a hint. He stopped caressing that soft belly of yours, but he is still hugging you.
"Equestria… where is that place?"

"I don't even know where here is. I have no idea how to get back to my own lands, but I aim to find out."

She hugs Liune.
"Uwahh! Borin said she was in the cottage of Sangrid! Its just over the river! I can take you there! I want to meet another pony!" She squeeze Liunne's face hard

"Ahh…. I want to visit that place. How about you…. where are you from…?"

The door opens up suddenly and Arvel shows up carrying some bread, banana and jam. He then lay it on one of the table.
"Hey Ket, is she alright?" Arvel looks at you.

I glower at the vet

"Let's not get too familial here. I am NOT a damn animal. There's still something like personal space, and you've been breaching it."

Arvel looks to the both of you, slightly confused at the situation.
"I dont know.. what happened?"
"I was just trying to see to her wounds then she bit me."

"Not to mention… The witch…" Hodvar looks through the window.
"Witches bitches, listening to old wives tale. You know that we have scoured that forest for thieves and you are still spouting that shit."

While they are debating about some witch and whatnot you feel pain from your side. You can feel that your dressing is slightly lose.

"Pffff, like they can take on a knight."

Eat the banana

"Hey, I think you messed up the bandages somewhat."

You see that the blood is slowly spreading through the bandage. Ketil then approach you and then tend to your wound.

Hodvar looks at you curiously.
"You're magical right Marching? Do you know anything about magic? That friend of yours conjuring fire, she's a witch right?

"I only met them recently when we all woke up in these unknown lands."

I think for a moment.

"Pretty sure she's just some kind of a mage though. I've seen a lot of those back in Eenhoorns Hold back home and they casted those kind of spells too."

"A mage? If so, she is dangerous right? The witch in the forest is told to cast curses and can brand you for humiliation for life. It is said that they can brand you with dea.."
"Shut your yap Hodvar, you're spoiling the mood." Arvel takes a bite of sn apple and he then give you a cupful of water.
"Do you think they will find the others in time?"
"Who knows, maybe they are on the other farm. We would likely know by tomorrow, or a week at most."

"We'll play the waiting gale for now I guess. If they're not found by tomorrow I'll go find them myself."

I take a drink and smirk a little

"And yeah, a mage. But they're all reasonable beings like you and I. Don't provoke us and we wont bring any harm upon somepony. But piss us off and you'll feel the consequences."

Hodvar looks like he does not approve of what you said.
"You dont know, witches from your world may be normal but in here they do all kinds of bad stuff. Like ply their trade to bad men and curse some poor sod if they are paid right. Also they whisk away some of our animals away, never to be seen again."
"*sigh* Alright I'm fed up." Arvel stands up and goes to the door.
"Excuse me for that dimwit, a former slave would have a mind of a slave eh. ahahaha." He then exits leaving you with the ketil who has applied some oil and tincture to your wound and is now closing it again.

"Insawa? Ya make no sense, thing!"

"We are not who you should with this question bother. The only one who can answer it is your father."
I need to leave for class in 12 minutes.

It appears you are inside a small house, you can smell something is cooking.
You then notice that something is attatched to your neck.

"He what?" Arvel looks at you with suspicion.
"Do you got any evidence on that?"

"Uwaahh…. *sniff* will listen to little ponies.. will go back to Papa."
The kid then makes its way back to her cottage. Yup she seems sad at the turn of events.
All of you then follows Liune's unto where the place where Marching Dawn is supposed to be holed up.

Thank Celestia that the river is easy to navigate. Your group then see this small cottage in the distant, a carriage is nearby and there seems to be a nearby ape chopping wood next to a water well.

What? Cooking?
And where am I?

Tap that something with a hoof… what is it?

stealthily make my way around the house to see how many entrances there are and if they're guarded

Roll #0 5 = 5

I point at the oil he was putting on my wound earlier

"Look at that. He was trying to put me to sleep."

Its a collar
The door opens and… some sort of a tall hairless ape enters carrying a pot that smells food. He then stares at you.
"Oh, you are awake." He looks at you with cold eyes.

You and the others are able to get close. Luckily it appears that the other hairless ape is too busy chopping wood to notice.
There is only one door in the small cottage and you can hear some talks inside.

PS: the horse pulling the carraige are looking in your groups direction.

Arvel looks at the small vial.
"Oh this! I dont know but this is some sort of anesthetic that some of the vets use to calm down animals in case they are going awry."
He then gives the knocked out vet a look.
"He maybe giving you an overdose, I tell you. This thing contain some of those… Ah! Philtis flower, poison jokes I tell you."

Take a few steps back.
How scared/freaked out am I?
"What.. What are you?! Where am I?….why… Why do I have a collar on me?!"

"Allraito, how many thingies 'round here?"
And where is the closest entrance to Dawn's prison?

"Stupid horse"
can I discern how many are inside?
"There's one out here, working with that large axe, I don't know how many are inside"

Roll #0 2 = 2

"Well I don't need anesthetic because I'm not a damn animal!"

I stomp my hoof on the ground angrily, then pointing it at him

"Don't you leave my side again. I don't trust this vet monkey. He's been constantly acting weird."

"Dayum, dis' gunna be easy. We roast'em an' get Dawn back!"

"Your move then hun"

"Let jus' check inside first, uh?"

Move stealthly closer to the house.

OOC: sorry for slow reply

He smiles, a missing tooth shows up beneath his bushy moustache.
"Just as I suspect, it can speak."
He then place the pot of food on a nearby table and approach you.
"Calm down." His hand began to touc your mane.

No thingies, just a cottage, a nearby well and a carriage.

You can hear some talks inside but do not know what it is.
What you can discern is that its high pitched and the possibility of a pony inside is high.

He steps back, taken by surprise by your outrage.
"Whoa whoa.. okay. I apologize on his part. Ketil can get attatched to his patients so he can get weird sometimes."
He then kneels to you and stroke your mane, giving you a steeled and reassuring look.
"Alright then, I am not going to leave your side and guard you as the Master said. Well Bors or Gunders willing that is, pray they dont assign me to another place."

Both of your head looks through the open doorway and saw a hairless ape stroking the mane of Marching Dawn. Her armor is off and both of you saw she has a wound, covered with bandages.
Yes she is slightly agitated but appears to trust this hairless ape.

"ugh, I thought she had standards too… well Kora?"

"They be prepping her for da' pimp! We gotta act here gurl!"

"I'm not the fighter here, if you kill one then I can get you a fighter, but right now I'd rather not get any cuts or scars"

"Righto… Lez not kill 'nyone if we can. Redy ta jump in?"

"Lez do dis!"

Try to scoot away from him.

"W-What do you mean calm down? How could I? I…I'm… where am I? Why am I here? What are you?!"

Try not to break down crying for how lost and confused I am.

"Ya freeze right there or Ah'm blasting yo' ass to hell, thing!"

"Ya'll right gurl?"

I give him a dull look
"What is it with you people and stroking manes? Haven't you heard of personal space or something?"

"I told you I'd be alright! I was doing just fine!"

"What on earth are you on about!? What's a pimp!?"

"It's just a little wound from a fight earlier!"

"A little wound that turns into an infection, then you lose most of yourself in trying to get rid of them! Or do you want to cauterize it all and be done with it? I don't trust these things"

"That's a what they call it, ah stallion dat' keeps ya on check! Look how dat' thingy's pretting ye up!"

I beat my chest proudly
"I'm a knight, lady! I don't get sick!"
"He's just a hairless monkey! Nopony is keeping me in check!"

"Gurl ya gotta taken 'way in chain! Wat did they do to ya?"

whisper to Koranna
"I think they hit her on the head a few times"

"Now haw'we go 'bout movin' her back to… Home, whereva' dat is?"

"Pffff, chains! I went with them to their leader like I asked! I challenged his son to a duel, which ended up in a tie. I did get a little wounded though, but they ended up cheering for me!"

"Don't whisper behind my back!"

"You're a warrior, you don't need to hear this."

Give her a dumbstruck stare.
"Dat's jus' crazytalk! And wa' in heaven's name did dat leader want?"

You find yourself crying, the leash
is long enough to give you some freedom to move but it appears to be made of tough leather.
The ape looks at you with cold eyes, it scratches its head then sits on the bed where you are.
"You are…. here. This is my house and you are my guest. Please, calm down."

Arvel looks at you inquisitively.
"Well, we always do that to ho…. oh you know what I will not do that again to you. Well as you…. "

The ape looks at the two of you, quit stunned with your antics.
"By Ingvurds do you four know each other by instinct?"

"We jus' smart like dat', ya ugly face!"

"Hey! Don't you talk to me like that!"
"They were talking about the weather changing and stuff. They thought we were responsible for it!"

"I… I want to go home to my dad… I don't want to be kept on a leash like an animal… I… g-guest?"

Try to calm down.

Roll #1 5 = 5

"Dayum, dey be more idiots tha'ah thought! We no pegasi!"

"Instinct? We were here before getting separated by you freaks! Let her go!"
point to M.Dawn
"Well you don't want my help, just like any warrior would say"

"I'm not a prisoner damn it!"

"Well something is going on! Just ask him!"
Point at the monkey

"Then what the hell are you!? What is going on here? Is there a way to leave!?"

"I'm a knight! I showed them I could fight and convinced them I'm not some animal! They brought me here to protect me, that's all."
I quickly add "Not that I need protection or anything!"

You calm down but you are still crying.
This ape slowly touches your mane.
"You are a guest here and this is my house. You are safe for now, do not worry and you will meet your friends when thing calm down."

Arvel looks at you with dumbfounded.
"Monkey, wow just when I am starting to respect you as a friend you had to drop that word."

Arvel looks at you surprised.
"Let her go? We are attending to her wounds as you see here.. miss??"

He stare at you.

"Well, we are on an island."

Suddenly Horval(the ape with an axe) barge in.
"Arvel are you alri.. WHOA! What is that stripey thing!"

"Ah'said it, thick as wood!"
"Can we go plese, Knight?"

"Yea. Right, whatever… you"

"F-Friends? There are others?… Are they kept on a leash too?"

I roll my eyes
"You call me an animal all the time! And now you're offended because I call you a monkey?"

"Go where? We don't even know where we are!"

"anywhere that isn't here would be nice. someplace warm, cozy…"
let my mind wander and blush a little

"We'ah on a place wit'a bunch of crazy things! We got'a run through da' jungle, get da hell outta here!"

"But they've provided this cottage for me to stay in! What more could you want from a shelter? I say it makes for a good base of operations!"
Do I notice that blush?

"We can't just start running around like a bunch of headless chickens! We finally found some people that are at least somewhat accepting!"

Roll #0 6 = 6

"Hey, don't you get any ideas now, lady!"

"A'right, yer game here!"
Sit down and cross my forehooves on my chest.
"Got nuthin' outta'em?"

He stands up, grab a bowl and began to pour some kind of stew on it.
"Others.. yes. There is one that we have kept in as a guest like you while some are still at large and not yet found."
He then approach you with the bowl and a ladle in hand.
"Eat, and I will tell you more."

One of the ape(Arvel) puts his palm to his face.
"I did not expect this."
The other one approaches him.
"Well… they stll dont know us so it will be good if we introduce ourselves."
He then approaches Liune, this ape is slightly fat though his warm smile gives you some assurance that he is friendly.
"My names Horvald, its nice to meet you."

Arvel stare at you with surprise.
"Wow, now I slightly get it how it feels to be called something that you are not. Thanks for the wake up call."

I point at the humans

"Ask them!"

"yea yea whatev-"
"Ugh! You're no fun!"
back up a little
"Yea, nice to meet you"

"Nic'tah meet dah captors of mah friend."
Remain on the ground with my hooves crossed.

"O-okay… can I ask what's this?….and.. What are you?"
Start eating the food he offers me.

Last post refers to Marching dawns reply

Arvel approaches the vet and carried him to the small cot.
"Look I am sorry Ms. Dawn, if anything happens just tell me. I will call you a pony and you call me a human. Quits?"

"Its nice to meet both of you, what are your names?" the fat ape smiles to both of you.

"Good pony."
The mysterious man stands up and looks outside the window.
"Stay here and dont make loud noises. This place is not safe and I am here to make sure you are not hurt."

"Liune. so what's gonna happen next?"

You feel that the wound of Marching dawn is starting to heal slowly, but not at the rate that you expect, like something is empty. At least its a start.

Horvald stands with arms folded and smiles in triumph.
"Liune, Koronna. Those are nice name…"

A human in chainmail barges in.
"Ms. Dawn, Bors and the slave Tukalus are now going to meet yo… oh who are these three?"

He stares at you coldly.
"Forgive me, I am…. a human. You are in the island farmlands and you are in the territory of the Gunders clan."
He then looks outside again before closing the window and starts to approach you.
"You appear outside of my house and I brought you in."

I nod at Liune
"Thank you, fair lady. Healing a knight is a fair deed indeed."

I turn to the human in chainmail

"My friends. What's wrong?"

"pfft, whatever warrior

this lady could always use a knight though…"

"So what now?"

"I've never heard of…humans before… but I am a pegasus…"
Point at my wings, then I look embarassedly at the ground.
"T-Thank you…for the shelter and food I mean… I just… why did you n-need to leash me?"

Did I hear that?

I did

But I wont comment on it

"Jus' great. One more."

"At least we're not fighting. I'd hate to get blood on me"

"Ah know right? So hard tah' scrub off da coat!"

"Pfff, you two! I live for fighting!"

"Ah don't. Ah live to live. An there be reason ah' learnt da magic of fire! Dinna' comes 'lready cooked!"

"Pe.. gasus… " He looks at you with half lid eyes, he then sits next to you and starts to stroke your mane.
"I leashed you so you wont fly away, the winds here are dangerous and you may get swept you off."

The human in armor regains his composure.
"Arvel, Horvald, Dawn, the master and Bors has now called you and your friends to meet them. I was send here to be an escort."
He then closes the door.
"It appears that the other farms has heard of the rumor that some type of talking…. ponies has appeared here. The master has told all of us to keep our mouth shut out of fear. I was send here with some of the guards just in case trouble happens while we escort you to their place."

"Yuppie, lez all go with'a things dat jus' tried tah kill us!"

"Great. what are we supposed to do while all this is happening?"

Does it feel good?

"If..if you just asked me, I'd s-stay… I don't think the collar is absolutely necessary…I.. I mean…."

Roll #1 9 = 9

"Hmph, as long as I am around nothing can happen to you! Don't you worry about a thing!"

I turn to the chainmail human

"What are we waiting for then? Let's move!"

"Tah me? Gurl we came here tah res-"

"Ya know, Ah'll just be quiet and don' speak tah ya for ah looooong while."

"I didn't ask for rescue! I told you to run away! That's why I turned myself in! To try and reason with these people, which worked!"

"Sorry if ah didn't believe dha 'ah'll kill an army on mahself' knight would be dat much of ah mastermind!"

I actually look a little hurt by this
"I-I'm not stupid!"

"Yea, I think I'll stay quiet too"
"Have fun wrapping your wounds by these freaks"

The human in chainmail looks at Liune, then to Dawn. He then removes his helmet and brush his hair, wiping away some sweat away.
"Just for those of us here, there are some talks that the witch in the forest has come out. Animals has gone missing and some of our tool shed are destroyed. The slaves are talking about some kind of sorcery is at work since their horses always appears to be too tired to help them from pulling the logs that is already pilling up. Not to mention that without horses, our plough would not work."
He then looks at the group, he appears to slightly hesitant.
"If you may allow us, we would like to put all of you again inside the cage. We will cover it with some kind of rug so no spy will see us carrying you guys,"

It feels good.

"W.. what? What are you implying. As for the collar, no I cannot do that."
You see him slightly fidget, his cold composure breaks and you can see confusion in his eyes.

"Yah listenin tah yerself? They got a shakle on yer neck, hauled yo ass off, hunted me an' dah others down breakin' da promise, an ya still trust'em?"

"Oh, so you're gonna use us as a work load? Fucking great! as if this bullshit hasn't gotten any better!"

"You weren't there! They were just distrustful at first, that's all! I don't think they're bad people at all! We can work this out but… I need your help for this. You're a mage, you know stuff about magic which I don't."

"But… but…"

"Damn it…"

That mane stroking…thing…is really good…

"Nothing, it's just, I'll s-stay if you tell me to stay! I could e-even help you clean up or do the dishes… it's just… this thing around my neck makes me really uncomfortable…"

The guard compose himself again.
"No, I think the master has other plans since you may know more about magic like stripey he….

"What the!!"
He is going to draw sword when Arvel held him down.
"Brand, calm down."
Arvel then looks at Dawn.
"You got to calm down that stripey friend of yours jeez."

Nope, marching helds you down.

"Ah'm not getting caught here. Neva!"

"Pf, whatever. look are we going or not?"

"I wont let that happen! Please miss mage… Just calm down and trust me on this. If we want to get back home we are going to have to figure out what is going on here first. And I need your help with that."

"I'm working on it!"

"They betta' dun'touch me, 'lright?"

I nod and get off of her, then turn to the humans

"Can we just go see the master again already?"

You can see him, getting confused with the way you act.
"Look, I cant do that. I can extend the leash if you want but I cannot remove it. I cant risk someone from the other farms seeing you here."
rolling for spagghetti

The soldier stands up with Horvald helping him.
"We are going as long as that stripey friend of yours calms down. The master has no intention to hurt your group. Marching Dawns bandages is proof of that."

"We will see the master now and keep Koronna calm."
They open the door and lead the group to the nearby carriage. Four cages area ready, rugs are pilled on top to be used as cover so no spy could see the group.
"Get in, you have my word that this will not take long."

I get into one of the cages.
"You all I will trust, but only because I feel I must. If any of us you try to cheat, nature will lift you from your feet."

Whipe my reddened eye.
"Yeah… Yeah, g'ood…"

"Go fuck yourself"

I pat her on the back.
"Thank you. Now let's get this over with."

I look at her sadly but don't comment

Move close to her.
"Ah got this. Jus' get in fo' now."

"I don't trust any of them, and I'm finding it hard to trust any of you now. but whatever"

Hurt at this, I actually step back.
Just step into that cage already. Fuck this place.

"There is no call for using words like mud, if they try to enslave us we shall shed their blood."

between gritted teeth

"Ah'm gettin mixed messages here.
Ya want to blow heads, jus' say it."

Some of the guards snickered with the exchange of arguments. They then close locked the cages and cover it with rug, careful enough to leave some space for air to breath inside.
The carriage started to move slowly.

You hold yourself together, this.. human thing appears to be having a hard time.
"… sorry."

And keep holding back those tears.

"At least…. c-co-could you make the leash longer like you said, then? P-Please?"

It's okay if we pause.

Allright. Are there guards in the back of the carriage with us?

take a deep breath and wait it out

Cool with pause too.

"Would you two just calm down for a moment? Why can't you just trust me on this? You can beat the heck out of me or kill me if I'm wrong, but I promise you! This. Is. Necessary. If we start attacking these humans we'll just be hunted down like a bunch of dogs."

"Between us we cannot afford hate or rancor for it will fester like a canker. The best path is one of peace, but if the humans force war than their lives we shall cease."

Hopefully we can play more tomorrow.

"Shut up. Ah'm not talkin' with'ya anymore."
If there are no guards in the back of the wagon with us, Teleport out of the cage.

Lalalala, the carriage is moving peacefully when.

You are out of the cage, you land softly on the grassy ground outside of the carriage. One of the horse that a guard is riding whinnies while the other guards looks at you with surprise, most of them are astonished with such feat.
"H.. how did you do that?" One of them blurted out.
"K.. Koronna, calm down." the fat Hodvar looks at you, his hand extended.

"Oh.. sorry."
He obediently stands up and gets a long rope. He then removes the other end of the leash and ties it with the rope. He then ties the other end of the rope on the same stand, near the bed.
With that he sits near you, he is breathing slowly.

OOC: tommorow same time

Its already afternoon, the cold wind enters the partial open window. The insides of the cottage is slightly dark if not your eyes has adjusted. You can see him slightly fidgeting from his position.
He stares at you.

"What… is your name?"

I look surprisedly at him.
"Oh, yes… um… m-my name is Featherscent… what is y-yours?"

"My name is Gnut, I'm a past guardsman of the Halfstead turned farmer."
He looks at you, sizing you up, a blush is visible which he tries to conceal with his hand, imitating a thinking gesture. A spark of curiosity is visible in his eyes.

"You said you have no idea how you got here, neither am I. But that also means you 'came' from somewhere. Where do you came from… Feather?"

I let out a deep sigh and close my eyes as I think back.
"F-From Equestria…where, you know… p-ponies like me life… we had a little cottage at the edge of a quiet little forest… and.. I was going f-for a walk and to strech my wings…"
I unfurl my wings for a moment before pulling them back to my sides.
"And then.. then I woke up…here.."

You see him regain some composure.
"Eques… I have not heard of that place before."
You then see him relaxes a bit.
"Some of the guards from Halfstead came here yesterday. They inform me that if I ever saw strange animals going around that I must keep them safe until they arrive, though they have not mentioned when they will arrive. Then I saw you, carried you here before other peasant farmers or wolves take you and leashed you. I intend to keep you safe from them."

"Thank you…. really… and, I d-don't really like this…"
Tug at the collar with a hoof slightly.
"Thing… but if you say it will keep me s-safe I'll wear it…"

He looks at you with concern.
"And I intend to keep you safe, like I said I have little trust from other farmers and landowners in this isle."
He then stands up and looks around his place.
"I will clean up this place, you can rest here. I thank you for your earlier offer to help me in cleaning the dishes but I have little faith that you can do anything with that hoof of yours."

I shake my head and stand up.
"No, I insist! I c-can help! Just tell me what to do and I'll do it!"

He scratch his head.
"I dont know…. it appears you know where you work best, you can help me by…. arranging those firewoods in a corner. If not, you can arrange the market produce to their shelves(requires to roll)."
You also see a broom in a corner.

He then looks outside.
"Clouds are already forming, I better get some water from the nearby well. I will leave for a moment, wait for me."

Roll #0 2 = 2

"O-Okay! I'll wait! And I'll help w-while waiting!"

Try to arrange the firewood first!

Roll #1 3 = 3

These firewoods looks old and some of it has moss growing on the sides. No matter, you stack the firewood in place. Thankfully your hooves can handle objects quite nicely.
Yup that will do it.
You look around the cottage, its a mess. A little dust here and a little removal of grime here would do the trick.

Well then!
Pick up the broom with my wings and start sweeping up the place!

Wow you are a cleaner aside from the misplaced firewood, you are able to dust the place and swept the debris and place it inside a small old bucket in no time.

You saw Gnut enters the room, carrying two bucket full of water. He almost dropped it when he saw that you are indeed and capable of cleaning the cottage.
"H… how can you hold that broom?"

His mouth is agape and he is eyeing you with fear.

Drop the broom and take a few steps back with an afraid expression and my ears flattened to my head.
"I… I just picked it up with m-my hooves like usual! I just w-wanted to help! I'm s-sorry!"

"No, I mean you dont have to be sorry. I was just… taken back by how you clasp it."
Seeing you afraid, he puts the bucket full of water on a side and grabs the broom. He then puts it in its right corner and looks around.
"You cleaned good, I like it."
He then sits near the fireplace and began to make a fire.
"You can rest for now if you like."

"Here catch."
He throws a banana at you.

He looks at you with a stern and stoic face.
"Nonsense, individuals who have worked should eat."

The fire is ablaze, he then put the leftover stew and heat it to keep it from spoiling.
He looks at the fire lost in thought. Melancholic and… lonely if you did see such an expression
"So… what is your past… occupation. I mean what do you back then?"

You also catch the banana flawlessly.

Can I peel the banana with my wings?

I scoot closer to the fire to warm up, but keep a small distance from this…human.
"I… I helped my f-father in the forest… we made sure the trees and bushes grew right and t-that the balance of nature was k-kept up… y-you know… that nothing overpopulated to threaten the other animals… and, yeah… we kept the forest nice…"

Roll #1 6 = 6

you peeled the banana with your wings with dexterity, you notice his eyes are wide open. Appears he was surprised at seeing both hooves and wings working in tandem.

"The forest… you a ranger or something?
He takes a cup of water and drinks it, he then hands out a cup of water to you.
"Perhaps it is a good idea I got to you before you wake up and get some idea of heading down to the forest nearby. Many things goes missing in that place that soon becomes lost in time."

You see him take two bowlful of heated stew. He then hands one to you.

I accept both his offers and start to eat and drink.

"Thanks… and y-yes you could say I am a… r-ranger of sorts… b-but I also learned how to treat w-wounds… and why, what is inside that forest?"

Night is taking over.

Gnut then takes a deep breath.
"The forest witch, a being that steals livestocks and puts maladies, curses and weird diseases on the locals whenever they venture close to the forest north and northwest of here. Many of the guards believe its just a rumor but since this past 4 years, the missing livestocks increased, the slaves who are tasked to cut the treelines suddenly fell ill, only to be cured after 10 days or so."

His voice then turns to a whisper
"Some of them even told us that they saw the witch. Tall, with crooked yellow nose and eyes piercing. She wears a pointed hat and a cloak made of feather and fur. Some of the slaves told us that some of their friends are so afraid that they turn ill or mad."

He then holds the leash and tugs it a little, signaling you to go closer.
"No offense but it appears I wont take that leash off you just for safekeeping."

Rolling not to get scared out of my coat.

"C-Can't anyone do anything a-about it? Ask h-her why she is so mean? Ask the witch to be a little more nice?"

I whimper slightly when he tugs on the leash, and scoot closer, looking at the ground.

Roll #1 8 = 8

Yup you felt a little scared by his callousness, such an uncouth creature treating you like that. Though you feel a little warmer now that are near his presence.

"Talk with the witch? Oh no, not me. I myself doubt of her or its existance. Most of us think that the local thieves or other farmers are to blame for the lost of farm produce and livestocks. Also I think some of the slaves and farmers either wants to slack some more thats why they produce an excuse of seeing some witch and going crazy."
He then stretch a little.
"If the witch is true, perhaps this island is cursed after a…."

He saw you looking down and shivering a little, with that he puts his arms around you.
"Are you alright, you are shaking? Is there anything I can help you with?

Keep looking at the ground.
"N-nothing…just… next time you could a-ask if you want me to c-come closer… and not… not do…that…"
I glance at the leash.

Roll #1 7 = 7

He appears to take a hint, he drops the leash.
"U…. Sorry for that… old habits, I should.. treat you better after you cleaned this place. Again sorry… "

"Its getting late."
He then stands up and looks outside of the window before closing it, leaving a small space for air to come in. He then locks the door going outside and puts a chair on it just in case.

Wait… so he just left me alone in here?

…is there anything noteworthy I could find?

Roll #1 7 = 7

OOC: he is still inside, sorry for my wrong grammar.

You look around and see that it is a pretty simple one room cottage made of stone, mud and tatched wood. On one side there are articles of clothing hanged to dry, some crates full of farm produce and some pots and pan.
On the middle of the cottage is an open, blackened by soot because of the several fires made to cook food/keep the place warm.
A table with several items like plates and spoons lies on top. Beside it is where you put the firewood and some of the other old items that needed to be replaced.
On the last side lies the bed made of hay covered with a thick animal furs and cotton bed sheet. At its side lies a chest made of wood with a steel lock holding it fast. On top of his bed lies what appears to be a broken sword and a shield as decoration.

"anything wrong?" He ask.

Not a problem, don't worry about it!

"No, I was just…looking around… w-what's in the chest?"
I point at the wooden chest.

"Old books, personal belongings, that sort of stuff. I wont tell you more." He looks a little serious.

He approach and put some more wood to feed the fire. You see him hold his hands together, his face looks slightly uneasy though still stoic.
"Its getting late and I need to plow the fields early tomorrow."

"S-Sorry… I didn't mean to be nosy… I… I guess I'll try to go to sleep to not b-bother you then…"

Gotta drop, I'll be back in less than an hour

Roll #1 6 = 6

He then approach the bed, then looks at you.
"…. You can sleep next to me if you wanted too. I doubt the cold floor would be enough to keep you warm…"

alright continue later

I take a tentative step closer.
"S-Sleep… beside y-you?"

He looks fidgety…
"If you insist you can sleep on the floor, though I presume a pony like you would prefer a bed."
He then removes his shirt, lay on the bed and pull the fur covers.

"I… I had my own bed…an not…shared it…"
Slowly trot closer and climb on the bed, but stay above the covers and on the edge of it.

His eyes is already closed and he is already drifting to sleep when he saw you at the edge.
"Hmmm… alright…. just tell me if you are not comfortable, otherwise good night…."

"N-No… I'm good… good night…"
Try to fall asleep.
Rolling for comfort.

Roll #1 3 = 3

Even with the fire nearby it is cold. The cool air is penetrating your fur and you may start to shiver any moment now.

Gnut is asleep and slightly snoring, the fire is slowly dying down with lack of wood and it is slowly getting dark.

I guess…
Okay, shuffle a bit closer to him, but above the sheets…
Maybe that'll keep me warm…

He woke up and saw you slightly shivering.
"Nnn…. cold?"

"…y-yes… a bit…"
Keep my head down and avoid eye contact.

Roll #1 9 = 9

He looks at you for a moment.

"…… *sigh*"
He opens up the thick bedcover with his arms, inviting you inside.

PS: He's [s]shirtless and wearing some sort of undergarment [/s]

Get under the covers.
Try to keep some distance.

Roll #1 8 = 8

As you go inside covers, his arms began to extend but stops midway as he is about to hug you.
"…. mmm…."

Roll #1 5 = 5

His arm then falls flat and he shrugs.
"…. mmmm… some space is an issue to you is it Feather…? "
He is keeping his eyes open, waiting for your reply.

"I-If it's not a problem… yes… I'd like some…s-space…"

"…. hmmm… just as I thought… "
Gnut then closes his eyes, satisfied with the warmth of the bed and the company of a talking pony.
"…. mmmm I.. really want to… fall asleep.. hugging someone… for a change… "

Besides from the cold wind and the dying crackles of the fire, all is quiet now. The warmth of the bed is also beckoning you to sleep.

Well, fall asleep then…
Let's hope I won't wake up with him being closer'1d10'

Roll #1 5 = 5

Without the cold creeping in, you fall asleep.

You woke up the next morning, the room is dark, the bed empty except for you.

You can hear a slight drizzle is pouring outside.

Sit up and look around.
Is Gnut here?

Well he is not here that is obvious. He told you yesterday that he will be out in the fields plowing the land so that gives you some time to be all by yourself in his cottage. You can smell see on one of the tables some stale bread and cheese. Its also slightly cold once you try to get out of the bedcover.

What will you do?

First of all, I'll eat some.
Second of all, can I start a fire in the fireplace?

Roll #1 7 = 7

Your skills as a forest keeper has helped you. Picking the dry wood, clump some dry hay, a little spark from the nearby flint and tinder and a fire is made.
The ample food is enough to satisfy your appetite, crude of course compared to equestrian food but it will do.

The door opens and you see Gnut enters.
"You're awake.. wow. You can make fire?"

I nod.
"It comes handy i-in the forest… it's not a problem I did, i-is it? I kept the leash on and everything!"

He looks at you presenting the leash and all, he then scratches his head.
"… K… keep the leash, its for your safety. O..oh…cute oh my… …"
"If you want to help out, perhaps you know how to cook something up. I'll go out and harvest some of my crops."

He then starts to make his way to the door

Roll #0 8 = 8

Locate for ingredients!

Roll #1 9 = 9

Its all there, onions, garlic, some tomatoes, potatoes, leeks, salt, pepper, laurel leaf, beets, dried jerkies… by celestia this guy is stocked.

Now all you need to decide is what to cook.

I…hmmm… I could try and cook a vegetable soup!

Roll #1 10 = 10

Yup, both nutritious and delicious. Your new mas… oh no, I mean your friend will like this warm vegetable soup. Perfect for the cold rainy seasons.

File: 1354309870336.jpg (44.96 KB, 700x700, aa28.jpg)

The door opens suddenly, you see Gnut carrying someone.

"Make the fire stronger now!"

I…I did not just think that…

The food can wait!
Help with the fire!

Roll #1 7 = 7

You see Gnut carrying a lanky man. You can also see that the man has a metal collar and chains attatched to his neck.
"Bring some blankets, we need to get him warm." He orders you.

With that Gnut puts the man down near the fire, he then produces a knife and began to cut the chained mans clothes off.

"R-Right away!"

Run to the bed and grab the blankets from it, then carry them to the two humans.
"W-Why…why is he chained too?"

File: 1354311267988.jpg (50.21 KB, 700x700, aa29.jpg)

Gnut is able to cut off the chained mans shirt off.
You see the mans body, frail and weak. Scars and fresh wounds of what appears to be lashes criss cross his body. You also recognize his arms and legs, it is dark and moldy of color.
Gnut takes the blanket and cover the mans body. He then began to pump the mans chest using his hands.
Gnut keep silent with your question, attending the man who lost conciousness.

Roll #0 3 = 3

Oh…oh dear.. I…I don't know much of these humans… but maybe I can try to heal him?

Roll #1 8 + 2 = 10

You felt empty….
The divine source where your healing magic comes from appear to be… not there. Only through sheer willpower are you able to channel the warm glow of healing magic and let it flow to the chained mans body. You can see his face that is ice cold turns back its redish color. With that he coughs a little.
Something is not right, its like your magic is not performing well.

Even though Gnut is still attending the man, you can see in his wide eyes that he was taken back by your display of healing magic. He then shakes the man to keep him awake.

"Hey, hey can you tell us your name?"

"S-Something is wrong…no, no, this is bad… I… I can't feel my deity watching over me… I…This was the m-most I could do!"

Gnut gives you a glance.
"No, that is enough. At least have awaken him."

He then turns to the man.
"Where are you from?"
"Where are you going?"

I take a few steps back and keep looking at the two of them with wide, scared eyes.

"So… w-will he be all right?"

The chained man looks at Gnut then at you. His eyes is half shut, its life is slowly trickling away.

"….. a… are you two taking me back… back to Endrass..?"

I glance up at Gnut.

Gnut glance to you.
"Endrass a land owner east of here. He.. however is a slave to him it appears…. "

You saw that the chained man is staring into nothingness. Tears are already starting to form in his eyes.
"…. I… I dont want go back there… ever again… B… but…"

File: 1354313533123.jpg (43.39 KB, 700x700, aa30.jpg)

"B… but I… I dont have.. anywhere else to go… "

Try not to cry.

Look up at Gnut.
"C-Cant' he…stay?"

Roll #1 8 = 8

A knocking on the door caught you and Gnut by surprise.
"Gnut! Gnut! I need to talk to you!"

"Hide." Gnut said to you.

Hide somewhere, quick!

Roll #1 10 = 10

Well hiding under the covers of the hay bed is a good idea.
You saw Gnut open the door a fat bearded man that appears to be a farmer greets him.
"Gnut, there are some guards here from the east finding you. You must come with me!"
"Why me?"
"I dont know, they are finding some sort of escaped slave."

With that Gnut closes the door. You can hear that he put something heavy to lock it from the outside.

Everything is silent, except for the chained man that is breathing slowly.

I wait for a short time, then when I think it's safe, I come out of hiding and sit down next to the poor thing.

"A-Are you… all right?"

You can hear some heated arguments from outside with Gnuts voice coming over the top. After a minute or two, the argument stops. You then hear that the group is walking heading east.

I'll wait until the sounds are gone, then >>225703

The chained man looks at you.
"M… mother? Why are you here?"

I place a hoof on his head.
Does he have a fever?
'I'm s-sorry… I'm not…n-not your mother…"

File: 1354316311460.jpg (38.79 KB, 700x700, aa32.jpg)

His eyes is staring into space.
Your hoof only feel cold, he is so cold.
"Mom, what are you saying… is Dad with you? Where's little sister?"

"Where are we, the sun is so bright… why is it so warm? Why are we?"

Try not to cry at this poor, misfortunate soul.

"Sshhh… it's okay… y-you are safe now… your family is safe…you are someplace good… ju-just relax…"

"Some… place good… I like that."

The door opens up, Gnut looks at you. Seeing that you are comforting the slave, he approaches and kneels down. He then whispers to you.
"How is he?"

damn it, messed up the roll
'1d10' for not crying

I look up at him with worry.
"N-Not good.. he… he is hallucinating… and cold…I think he is… he's…"

Roll #1 4 = 4

File: 1354318317951.jpg (33.07 KB, 700x700, aa33.jpg)

Tears began to form on your eyes. Gnut looks at you, his face still stoic.

"Dad… is that you?"
Gnut was surprised.
"We got separated…. I was so worried, me and lil sis got sold away… I thought you'd be dead."
"Mom told me this place is somewhere good…. I like it here…."

Gnut then opens his mouth.
"Rest now my child, you are safe now. We are now at home. Dont worry and rest."

"Someplace good…. home…. "
With that the man stops breathing.

I turn away and run to the bed and start sobbing.
Why… why did he have to die?
Try to get the despair and bad feelings out of me! Cry it out if need be!

Roll #1 2 = 2

Gnut stands up and began to stroke your mane.
"I've been to the meeting, it appears he has escaped four days ago. His master is… cruel to say the least but at least you are here to comfort him during his last moments."

He then lifts you up.
"Come here."

File: 1354318998758.jpg (30.96 KB, 700x700, aa34.jpg)

He removes the collar from your neck.

"Ironic that I would use this to you." He looks away in shame.

I look at her through my teary eyes as he lifts me up.
"W-What are yo-"

I look surprised.
"I… I can't… t-thank you!"

Try to hug him.
Maybe that'll comfort me somewhat.

Roll #1 4 = 4

He returns the hug back, it is comforting to say the least.
"I've got to bury him soon, perhaps in the nearby hill. Stay here and keep to yourself, the guards from the eastern farms will be gone soon."
He then stands up, carries the body and looks at you.
"You can help me by tidying the place a bit. I will return soon."

Roll #0 6 = 6

I nod.

Tidy up a bit while he is gone. Try not to get my feeling get in the way.

Roll #1 5 = 5

He arrives late, it is already getting dark with the rain starting to pour outside.
Gnut then approach the fires and feed it some wood. He saw the soup you made, now cold and puts on top of the fire to reheat it.

I walk closer and sit next to him beside the fireplace, less shy now that the collar is gone.
"I've made that for you… I h-hope you like it…."

Gnut grabs two bowls and fills it with the soup, he then hands one to you. With that he tales a sip.
"mmm…. good. Thank you." He smiles a bit and continues to eat.

I eat some of my own soup, but look up at him with wide and expectant eyes.
After that trauma, at least I might get some positive feedback.

"D-Do you really like it?"

He reply to your question is through actions not words. After finishing his bowl he takes another bowful of soup. He then grab some stale bread and rip it into two pieces and hands one to you.
He stops for a moment.
"Thank you for helping me there."

OOC: five more turns and sleep for me.

I accept it and eat it.
"No… I h-have to thank you… if it wasn't for y-you… if you didn't find me I… I don't know…"

Okay, I was going to sleep soon too.

File: 1354322629377.jpg (30.16 KB, 700x700, aa35.jpg)

He looks at you and gave you a faint smile.
"…. Dont think about it."
He finishes his food, he then looks at the fire, his mind in deep thought.

"Its late…"
Gnut gets up, locks the door and closes the window. You notice that he stops for a while on the spot where the slave has been lying and takes a deep breath.
He then gargle a cupful of water before spitting it outside. With that, he takes off his shirt and throws it on the side before going to bed.
"I got to work harder tomorrow….. "

"I'm s-sorry if I am a bother… you g-give me all this food and shelter and I can't even go out to the forest to f-find some berries or food to repay you…."

I look down embarassedly.
"And c-can I… sleep on the bed again?"

He looks at you, with that request he opens the bedcovers waiting for you to come in.

Walk over there and climb on the bed.
Still, try to keep some distance.

Roll #1 10 = 10

Roll #1 5 = 5

With you tuck in, he began to rest his head. He looks at you and begins to shift closer.
"… Forgive me."
With that he slowly tries to hug you.

Stay in place and allow him to hug me, but close my eyes and try to fall asleep.

Roll #1 2 = 2

He cuddles you tight.
With that he fell asleep.
Soon, you follow suite.

OOC: pause?

Thanks for running!
