Just pick up where we left off

Allright how dead am I and where is that demonic filly I now feel so guilty about?

Rolling for a good dream

Roll #0 3 = 3

You are not dead. Alesa healed you before you could die. You do feel like shit right now though.

Your mind is a goddamn mess at the moment. Only nightmares now.

"My fine lady, please be assured that no one will doubt your word when you say he was a vampire. He turned out little friend here after all.."

I have lost the past beats, where are we and is Blaze still feral?

You are a Wildguard, not a Lifebinder
"Doesn't matter, I'm confiscating this stuff! All of it! Some of it is highly illegal and dangerous! I can't just have it lying around unchecked like this!"

Blaze got her ass kicked and is now unconscious and tied up.

"We should go now."

Oh, I have too many necromancers, sorry.
"That's fair enough. Can you handle all those trinkets alone?"
"Right." I place Blaze on my back, poor little filly. "But where are we going?"

"We have to fix her."

"The spooky vampire lady told us she'd take care of that. We can do nothing but wait."

"I guess… I dont like this place."

She points at the large Diamond Dog carrying the large bag standing behind her.

"Varro has my back covered, don't you worry! Now… I should get going. I'm sorry to see you didn't find what you wanted to, but you did help out the Inquisition! You will be rewarded for this soon enough!"

The mare turns to the general direction where Varro is standing.

"Varro, you lead the way. I'll follow your footsteps."

The dog lets out another inaudible mutter and starts making his way out of the mansion, the blind unicorn mare right behind him.

I'll follow her outside. "What kind of reward could possibly make up for this disaster?"

"Oh but why, I have yet so much blood to spill!"
"Wait, what about us? You were our only lead!"

"We have to find the filly not spill vampire blood in this hole."

She stops, tapping a hoof against her chin

"Um… you adventurer types like money right? How about that?"

"But I need to report to my superiors first! Have you tried asking the Mayor for help? He's been very helpful to me so far."

"He is the one who sent us out in the first place!"

"I meant my own blood, lady. A simple, lighthearted joke. I'd rather not harm others, if possible."

She lets out a weary sigh

"Well what do you want me to do in that case? If even the mayor is powerless, what help could I be?"

"Yeah, right. Just, if your superiors have any info, let us know."

"We will require some aid, and assistance here, perhaps when you return you can bring a temporary guardian for this town? They will need someone to watch over them while they pick a new leader."
"Don't be so hard on her, she was right about him."

Open my mouth to reply but shut it.
"Yeah. That much is true, they had to be stopped."

"I doubt it, our local branch has been thinned out considerably after the plague hit the city… In fact, I'm the only one left in Lubuck! The rest are spread out on the countryside."

She cocks her head to the side confusedly

"Pick a new leader?"

Second reply was for >>218676

"Yuppy dhoo!"
"Look let's just backtrace to the tavern. It's always the best place for finding shadowly figures."

"Pardon me my lady, but We just killed the figure head of this place. They will need to find someone new."

It was an old rich folk owning a mansion, we are still in the same town the mayor told us to search her daughter in.

What? This whole time I thought it was the leader..

Leader of the vampires, nothing else.

"Herr Grimmwalt was a council member, I'm sure the Mayor will appoint a new pony for his seat! Maybe you should go ask him about it. Maybe you'll find clues or something!"

She shrugs

"Well sorry, but we can't be blamed for dying, can we?"

Varro is tapping his paw on the ground impatiently

"Right! We need to go find where the rest of our branch is now, goodbye and thank you for all your help! You'll be extra rewarded for this, don't you worry!"

The mare turns away from the party again and trots after Varro, leaving the mansion and its surrounding domain

"Very good idea, he needs to be informed of what happened, but perhaps in the morning after we've found a safe place for blaze.."

"Oh damnit… Not like I have a place where to crash her, I'm not from the city.
And what would the innkeepers say if they see us carrying an unconscious, tied filly around?"
"You don't think anypony will need this mansion for a while, right?"

You are indeed standing in what used to be a lovely bedroom. It got damaged during the fight but it is still a good place to sleep in.

It is currently past midnight.

"We could hide her in your saddlebag."

"Or we could just camp here. Nopony's gonna miss it anyway!"
Allright, find the key to the room, leave Blaze inside on the bed, untie her and lock everything. Then, go on a sweep of the house and lock down every window and door I come across.

"Is it really safe to leave her in here?"
"Please this is no laughing matter."

"I guess she should use the bed."

"What? Its a good idea."

I grudgingly help tuck her in. "If anything happens to her you'll feel my wrath."

Blaze has been untied and left on the bed. Let's just hope she doesn't awaken again
The place was already pretty locked up, so you end up not having much work. The whole mansion is firmly secured now.

"Pff, im really scared."

"I… What? Dude, I was against taking a filly with us since the start! I gave my bl-
No you know what? Doesn't matter. Let's get this over with."
"Let's not argue with each other. We should get back on track and find the abductors. I suggest poking around the inn. I could use a drink."

"What if she wake up?"

"Isn't the room locked up tight? I don't feel comfortable leaving a filly tied.."

"She almost kill you."

"We could leave a chain on her so she can't leave the bed area?" Do is see something like that around? '1d10'

Roll #1 8 = 8

"Good idea."

"Yeah but that was an accident! It's not her fault she almost died!"
"I really do-"

You find some chains the vampire used to lock up his prisoners with, that should do the trick.

"That wasn't her fault at all and you know it." I give you a harsh look.
I take the chain and attach it to the filly's …ankle/ rear hoof, and take anything she could use to pick the lock with. '1d10' to make sure I did a good job.

Roll #1 2 = 2

"The point is she is dangerous, really dangerous."

You lock her in tight and firm, then put a lockpick next to her. Just in case she wants to go to the bathroom for a wee and all.

Check on the locks and see if everything's allright.

Roll #1 6 = 6

The locks themselves are just fine.

You're just not entirely sure if giving her a lockpick is a great idea

She's such a little filly. A lockpick could cut her.
Take it away and leave the room.

You leave the filly behind in the master bedroom, firmly locked in chains

Turn to the others.
"So, who wants to raid the kitchen? I dunno you but losing half my blood put a wicked appetite on me!"

"You think we are going to find edible food here?"

I laugh a bit. "Hopefully he has some real food here."

"No harm in trying!"

Find the kitchen and, hopefully, something other than a lot of blood.

Roll #1 1 = 1

Oh of course! The kitchen stock!

Let's see… there's blood sausages, blood pudding, blood soup, blood jugging…

Yeah, this doesn't look very promising

Try not to gag.
Then, look some more.
'r2 1d10'

"Found anything?"

Roll #1 3 = 3 / Roll #2 8 = 8

"Let me see."
Look for something good.

Roll #0 6 = 6

Anything we can cook?

Roll #0 7 = 7

You spit on the ground in disgust. Fortunately after a bit of looking you manage to find some very dry oatmeal. It's not much, but it will have to do it seems.

"Bah! We should have go to the town."

"Don't worry dear! I'll make this taste just fine, nothing is open now anyway."
Cooking time, lets see if I can do anything with this oatmeal, maybe some honey or milk is here to add to it?

Roll #0 8 = 8

You find a pot of honey hidden behind some bottles of bloodwine. After a little mixing together you make a decent meal out of the two. It may not be the best dish, but it's still much better than simple dry oatmeal!

Meanwhile, a shadow opens the front door of the mansion with the help of some lockpicks, and starts to skulk around without you knowing.

Roll #0 8 = 8

No no no no….
Try to dispel the nightmare and change it to a good dream.

Roll #0 7 = 7

"There we go, this should be a bit better. " I serve everyone up a dish, and then sit down to eat.

"Good job."

And while you are dreaming about horrible abominations slaughtering ponies, the door to the bedroom you are in gets unlocked, the shadow sneaking in quickly and closing the door behind it.

Damn nightmare!!
Wake up from the nightmare!

Roll #0 3 = 3

You ain't waking up anytime soon.

The shadow on the other hand, takes out several items out of a bag and begins a shamanistic ritual. Just the way it was taught to.

The other players are done eating by now and can choose to go to sleep if they so desire

That sound like a good idea, is there a empty room?

Sleeping time then.

Alright, I might like to know what in the bloody heavens that bollocks is doing to me so I will attempt to wake up one last time.
If not, let peaceful sleep take me.

Roll #0 9 = 9

There's plenty of guests rooms you can crash in if you so desire. Most of them are pretty fancy looking, if a little dusty

Waking up is DCplot

The shadow continues its ritual and will do so for the next few hours

Keep sleeping I think,

Look for a comfy bed and drop dead on it.

Roll #1 10 = 10

With that I let my slumber commence.

Roll #0 4 = 4

alright, I'll go to sleep in a room then. "Goodnight."

You crash on what must be the comfiest and warmest waterbed you've ever had the joy of sleeping in. You will be more than well rested by the next morning, so no more worries about feeling weak from blood loss.

The rest of the party sleeps in other, normal beds.

Your nightmares continue throughout the night. Not a peaceful slumber at all.

The party awakens one by one. All feeling well rested. For being such good ponies that go to bed on time, you all get a +1 bonus to your next roll.

Blaze too, awakens, feeling remarkably different then how she felt before she got knocked unconscious by the party. In one of the corners of the room she's in, a shadowy figure sits in a comfortable chair, its face completely concealed.

Well let's go check on Blaze!

I stare at the shadow with fear. I try my best to show a determined face.

"… hello..?"

Folow him

The figure stirs a little, she might have actually been sleeping

"How are you feeling?"

You get up out of bed, and head down to the room you left Blaze in.

As you reach the door, you notice it is unlocked.

"Why are you going to wake a vampire in the morning? Just let her sleep, I'll try to find us some breakfast." I check around the kitchen/ storage for breakfast.

Roll #0 2 + 1 = 3

Vault in and scan the room!

Roll #1 6 + 1 = 7

I stretched a little. I then close my eyes and pull the bed cover in order to get more comfortable.

"I.. is this heaven? I feel alright I guess, this is a change of pace now that you ask friend."

There's just some leftovers from yesterday

She chuckles

"No little filly, this is not heaven. You are just as alive as the day you were born."

You slam the door open and leap in. You notice Blaze is awake already. She seems to have regained some color. You also notice a familiar shadowy figure sitting in a legchair

"Good morning, you came in just in time."

Seeing Golden I try my best to hide underneath the bed covers.

Roll #0 9 = 9

Assume a fighting stance.
"So the ritual is complete, right? You are not gonna start your own lil' vampires company or anything…"

Roll #0 6 = 6

I'll go see what the others are doing then.

Roll #0 5 = 5

Whats going on?"

"Look for yourself, our little friend from yesterday is back!"

You duck under the sheets as best you can with those chains on

She jumps up on her hooves, stretching out.
"Yes. Yes it is. Although it seemed like your little friend had been feasting on quite a lot of blood already."
She walks towards the bed and pulls off the covers, revealing Blaze fully
"She'll be fine though. Took me a while to get it right but the vampirism has been purged from her body. All that remains are her sharp teeth."

You see all of the above happening

"Oh, she's come with the cure then?"

Roll #0 2 = 2

Stand down and move over to inspect Blaze.
Wave my hoof in front of her and see if she wants to bite it.
"And what about you? Is your vampirism cured?"

"So.. she's cured?" I look her over and turn to our vampire friend. "Thank you for keeping your word to us."

I look at Golden, still afraid of my actions I try my best to avert my gaze in hopes that my bloodlust might kick in.

Roll #0 3 = 3
