"Past due, actually. But now that the civil war in Timberjaw has been settled, I can report in full."
Helmet off, and I'll bow.
"He is growing well, and though impetuous, can be fairly diplomatic as the situation warrants. He's still young, but he is surrounded by many advisers and some close friends. With vicequeen Venia's retirement and Lady Radiant's departure, however, those friends and advisers are swiftly being replaced with servants. Some of whom would obey his whims without question. I have tried to keep him on a kingly path, though that has proven somewhat difficult after the representatives from the Trotantine empire arrived. The mares hardly wear anything, and that is a temptation that can be ill-afforded. Master Swansong keeping more than one mare is bad enough influence as it is."
After a small breath, I'll continue.
"The Timberjaw conflict was resolved peaceably, for the most part, and King Frostmourn managed to reconcile both factions without further bloodshed on their part. However, TIARA and its crew was deployed by the Equestrian Lordblade Rivetstrike, who had infiltrated Timberjaw and incited the civil war. It was headed for Snowborder, to annex it into Equestria, or so I was led to believe. I'm certain you are aware of the deployment of the Northern Lights, and I'm pleased to report that they have performed marvelously."
Was that everything?
"When I was dismissed to inform Golden Oats of their success, and inform him of a new volunteer, King Frostmourn was speaking with Viceroy Godric, Lady Liviana of Trotantine, and master Rampart of Timberjaw, who until that point had been imprisoned by the Lordblade Rivetstrike."
