Crypt Quest 2 Campfire 310515[Last 50 Posts]

In a mountainous region of the Ostrich-Pongarian Empire lies the city of Sighorsoara. Situated in a wide valley the city is surrounded by diligently farmed fields that are broken only by thick patches of trees and roads leading to the city. In the center of the valley many wooden structures rise up before a simple wall that looks more like it was built to keep out wildlife and bandits rather than an attacking army. Behind the wall stand many buildings made of stone; most are simple enough, but in two parts of the city large towers and spires that gleam in the noontime sun stand above the surrounding structures. Above even these, though, rise thick, imposing walls made of dark grey stone. A storm cloud sits like a lid at the top of the walls, and a careful eye can pick out a few pegasi maintaining it.

Andelia and Mirabelle
When you arrived home after the events in the crypt below the cemetery outside that small town you found a letter waiting for you. You are unsure how the two friends you made learned where you lived, but once or twice a month a new letter from them would arrive to tell you of their struggles, their successes, and anything else they felt like telling you. These continued for a few months before stopping with no explanation. After a silence spanning more than half a year you received a large sum of foreign coins and a letter with only one word: "Sighorsoara"

Dreamkicker, Pomelo, And Bessy
Nearly a year after the events under the small town's cemetery life has returned to normal, or as close to normal as it can possibly be. This was broken one day by the arrival of two bags of foreign coins and two pictures, one addressed to Pomelo and one addressed to Bessy. Each one looked as if it had been drawn by a pair of foals, and each one had the same thing on it. A goat wearing a large gold crown and a billowing purple cape riding atop a shaved unicorn with an expression of pure stupidity on his face and stink lines rising from his body. Behind them is a buffalo with a feathered headband. They are all standing by a sign that says WELCOME TO SIGHORSOARA.

Olga
After returning home to your land you found a gift waiting for you. A bit of research revealed it to be something that Equestrian worshipers of Nature send to whoever they consider a mentor as a thank yo present. Nearly a year after that you receive a postcard with a picture of a large building that looks to be made of equal parts cut stone and living trees, a few stalks of the uncreative named Sighorsoarian Wildflower, and a bag full of foreign coins. Below the picture are printed words asking the recipient to visit Sighorsoara soon. Both "visit" and "soon" have been underlined.

Happyhorn
After almost a year of living a life from your new perspective a postcard and bag of foreign money appears on your doorstep. The picture on the front is of a city and the words printed above it invite you to visit the beautiful city of Sighorsoara. The postcard itself is addressed to "Mr. or Ms. Happyhorn."

Everyone else
Whether you have been adventuring around the nation or were summoned here with a postcard and bag of coins is your choice.

Would one person from each group, with the exception of the last group, roll 2d10? People in the last group should each roll 2d10.

>>310532
>>310528
This happened a while ago. I'm assuming each of you have already traveled to the city. Sorry for not being more clear.

>>310529
You have been in the city for a little over a day now, and your wanderings around it have taken you to the cemetery beyond what you have heard called the Adventurer's District.

>>310532
Your journey has just come to it's end. You stand on a road next to a large, old graveyard. The road continues onwards to the city of Sighorsoara. You can hear the clip clop o hooves behind you.

>>310536
You wander through the large city you have just arrived in and find yourself outside it's walls and in the cemetery. You should pay more attention to where you walk.

>>310538
You stop by a drink vendor's cart in the city's Temple district. The postcard looks the same as several others you have seen in giftshops around the city during your day-and-a-half here, but the words "please" and "visit" have been underlined.

>>310539
The two of you arrived in the city yesterday, and after finding a room and asking a few questions decided that the best place to start looking for the Twins was in a cemetery. So far neither of you have had any luck.

>>310547
There is nothing else written on this note, but the word is large and looks like it was written with urgency. It was obviously written by one of the Twins, and they obviously wanted you to heed their call as fast as you could.

>>310542
>>310531
>>310527
After a long journey the three of you arrived at the outskirts of the city. After stopping for a brief lunch break at an inn by a collection of farmer's huts at the outer edge of the city's field you all continued down the road towards the city. Currently each of you are passing by a graveyard. On the road as well is a pegasus stallion.

>>310552
The last of your coins ran out a a few days before arriving at the city. It's a pity you never paid attention to how they looked.

>>310558
You know that ponies and ostriches live here, and you think that at one point it was two separate nations.

>>310567
With those words you leave the your room in an inn on the west side of the Adventurer's District. It was a cozy enough place to spend the night, but finding a place to stay took up all of your time yesterday.

Bessy [Soothsayer] 310608

>>310599
I enthusiastically wave to the stallion.
"Hi there! Are you coming from Sighorsoara? What's the city like? Is it fun?"

Olga [Lifebinder] 310616

>>310599
Am I already in Sighorsoara?

Pomelo [Preacher] 310617

>>310599
I hop on Bessy back and wave at him too, trying to stand and make myself look as tall as I can.
"Hiya! Are you here for the party too?"

310618

>>310599
"Well, Mirabee, this city seems normal enough. " I take a look around for any signs of trouble as we explore.

Look around the district. Does anything catch my eye? I've never been here before…

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310620

>>310599
Awww, I hope it's not too sad!
Put some streamers on the trees just in case to liven up the space!

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 310621

>>310599
>>310617

"You there — pegasus. We are looking for two ponies. They would be odd looking. Twins, as well. Pale and… almost corpselike."

Olga [Lifebinder] 310628

>>310616
Nevermind that. Let's go find that building. Look for someone.

Muddy Morass [Pegasus Charlatan] 310629

>>310617
He raise a brow. "I guess so. Adventuring parties are always desperate for such a master of stealth and cunning as I. Plus I got this letter."

>>310621
"Hm. I haven't seen anyone like that, but I only just arrived myself. Still, my incredibly amazing tracking skills might be of assistance."

Mirabelle [Maid] 310634

>>310618
"Bien sûr! But how are ve going to find zose twins? Yopu know zem better than I do!"

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 310637

>>310599
"Bollocks, I seem to have gotten turned around!"
Turning back towards the wall, I'll reenter the city.
"Honestly, I should have just bought a map…"
I'll head back to the road.
Can I see the others? '1d10'

Roll #1 2 = 2

Pomelo [Preacher] 310641

>>310629
"Oh, you got a party invitation? …Did it have a weird picture drawn on it too?"

Muddy Morass [Pegasus Charlatan] 310649

>>310641
I hold up my letter and announce cheerfully. "I didn't read a word past the name of the city!"

Can I read it out loud to the party?

Bessy [Soothsayer] 310654

>>310649
"But if you didn't read past the name how'd ya know it's a party invitation?"

Pomelo [Preacher] 310657

>>310654
"Hey Bessy… maybe he can't read!"

Bessy [Soothsayer] 310664

>>310657
"Hu- Oh! What makes you think that?"

Andelia [druid] 310665

>>310634
I cheerfully smile. "I wouldn't worry too much, the twins usually have a way of finding us." I laugh a bit, but its pretty clear I'm just as worried as a mother would be.

Muddy Morass [Pegasus Charlatan] 310666

>>310654
"I already told you! Everyone wants a piece of Muddy Morass. There was money inside, so I came on ahead. The only ones who aren't scrambling to get me to their side are the legions of officers trying to arrest me."

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 310667

>>310649
"At least they didn't send you the picture."

Pomelo [Preacher] 310672

>>310664
"The name was so hard to read he had to give up!"

>>310667
"Yeah, it's not even accurate. Your butt's not bald anymore!"

Campfire 310678

>>310618
You spot a goat tossing streamers into a few trees growing around a rest area in the cemetery. It reminds reminds you somewhat of a goat you met before, but this one is the wrong gender.

>>310619
Everything blends together here. The buildings are all tall and look hundreds of years old. There are temples, large and small, seemingly everywhere; many to deities you do not recognize.

>>310620
You toss streamers into the trees near an area that looks like it was meant for visitors that need a place to rest their hooves and mourn. This out to help cheer up any future visitors.

>>310628
You'll need to roll for that.

>>310637
Your shaggy coat hangs over your eyes and you nearly run into a large tombstone.

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 310685

>>310678
"Oh, my apologies to the departed."
Brushing the hair away, I'll look again. I came in here, so there has to be a way out.
'1d10'

Roll #1 5 = 5

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 310688

>>310672
"Ahem, yes. There were quite a few inaccuracies in it."

"Regardless, we need to find them. If they tried to seek us out it was for a reason."

310689

>>310678
Aww. Why build something so tall if you're not going to use it to play on?

Jump up on top of the buildings! Maybe I can see more up there!

Roll #0 2 = 2

310692

Let's hope my eyes aren't failing

Roll #0 9 = 9

Pomelo [Preacher] 310697

>>310688
I hop off Bessy and stand between her and Dreamkicker.
"Right! Lead the way, Dreamy!"

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310698

>>310678
"Yay! Now noone will have to mope around here!"
Bounce around and inspect my work.

Roll #1 4 = 4

Mirabelle [Maid] 310699

>>310665
"Mmmm… zat is true. Zey did find our address…"
I look around
"I do not like zis country very much though."

Bessy [Soothsayer] 310702

>>310688
"You're right! They sought us out for a… party!"
I giggle and do a little hop.

Andelia [druid] 310708

>>310699
>>310678
"Say, does that goat look.. familiar?" Trot over to Buttermilk.
>>310698
"Hello there!"

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310710

>>310708
"Hi!"
Start bouncing around her.
"I'm Buttermilk Sky, who are you?"

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 310717

>>310702
>>310697
"Once again, I doubt this 'party' hypothesis very much."

"Mr. Morass — I take it you are some sort of brigand or thief? Your skills may be useful in this, and in any case we are traveling in the same direction. I invite you to follow us… at a safe distance and away from our saddlebags."

Andelia [druid] 310718

>>310710
I tilt my head a little. "I'm Andelia, we haven't met before have we?" I shake my head a bit. "What brings you here Buttermilk Sky?"

Mirabelle [Maid] 310719

>>310708
"… non?"

>>310710
"Uh… Bonjour ma petite chèvre! My name is Mirabelle. Vhat are you doing here?"

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310725

>>310718
"I don't think we have! And I'm here to throw parties and play music and make everypony and every creature smile!"

>>310719
I giggle and start bouncing around her instead.
"You talk funny!"

Campfire 310729

>>310685
The cemetery houses a good portion of the city's dead, so it stretches out pretty far in every direction. You cannot find your way out, but can hear voices from not too far way.

>>310689
You try to scale the sides of the closely packed buildings like the ancient goat assassins, but are unable to get a good hoofhold and nearly fall flat on your back. The people around you are starting to look at you funny.

>>310692
In the inn's common room you spot a pony wearing a rather tall, wide brimmed hat.
"Yes? What is it that you want, miss?"

>>310698
You've done better work before. This looks pretty lousy.

Olga [Lifebinder] 310733

>>310729
"Oh, how kind of you to help an old biddy! Now, if you would please direct me to this building?"

Show her the letter.

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 310735

>>310729
I'll head towards the voices then.
"Hallo! I seem to be rather lost! Could I perhaps get some assistance?"

Andelia [druid] 310741

>>310725
"Well that certainly sounds like a goat I knew before, but we haven't time for a party our friends maybe in danger."

310742

>>310729
I smile and wave at them all from the ground.
"What, none of you have done this before?"

Again! I want to see the top of this town!

Roll #0 7 = 7

Muddy Morass [Pegasus Charlatan] 310745

>>310717
I play wounded.

"What kind of thief tries to sneak away with goods unannounced? That's downright dishonorable. I give you my honest vow as a rogue of good intent that I will not steal from you without warning. Sincerely."

I give a winning grin. I even have Compassion!

Pomelo [Preacher] 310746

>>310717
"Aw, don't worry. We throw our own party then! No creepy twins looking at you funny or anything!"

Mirabelle [Maid] 310750

>>310725
"Uh… merci? Are you from around here? Have you seen two tall and pale ponies perchance?"

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310760

>>310750
I shake my head.
"Nope! Just got here a day ago! Why are you talking like that?"

>>310741
"What? You mean now? Danger is not fun!"

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 310768

>>310745
I roll my eyes.

"Oh, yes, we have the honest word of a thief! Well I'm sure we can all rest easy knowing that our purses are safe in his hooves. Bessy, please, just give him the luggage. Oh, of course, let him search it for valuables! That's just part of his customary gold-piece-cleaning service, I'm sure."

"Do you think we're stupid?"

310776

>>310760
"Well, its pretty important that we find them, have fun with your party.." Is there anyone who looks more.. knowledgeable nearby?

Roll #0 3 = 3

Mirabelle [Maid] 310779

>>310760
"I am not from around here, ma petite chèvre. I'm from Prance, zat's why."

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 310781

"My ears must be playing tricks on me."
I'll yell out again.
"Hello! Is there anyone around? I've gotten horribly lost in this blasted cemetery!"

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310786

>>310776
"Wait! I can tag along! Maybe help you find them!"

>>310779
"Ooooooh…. are there good parties there? What about music?"
I look around.
"And do you think I did a lousy job with the streamers?"

>>310781
Do I hear that?
'1d10'

Roll #1 2 = 2

Mirabelle [Maid] 310790

>>310786
"Vell…"
I look around
"I am not sure zis is the right place for ze streamers, ma puce…"

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310793

>>310790
"It's to make ponies who get here stop being sad and start being happy!"

Andelia [druid] 310795

>>310786
"Not at all, your streamers are fine, but this will probably be dangerous, are you sure you're up for it?"

Muddy Morass [Pegasus Charlatan] 310796

>>310768
I genuinely am injured now.

"But my honesty is infamous and legend. Surely you've heard of the legendary Muddy Morass and his incredible feats of bravery in the face of greed!"

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310800

>>310795
"I can defend myself! And at least I can make some friends!"

I chortle.

Campfire 310804

>>310742
this time your quickly bound your way up onto the back of a large pony, then a cart, then a windowsill, then up onto the roof of one of the smaller buildings. From here you can more clearly see the tops of the grandest temples in this district, one of which gleams with reflected sunlight. In the distance you can see a few tall buildings in another section of the city, and the large wall that separates part of the city from the rest of the world.

>>310649
Oops
It is a simple postcard. It has a picture of the city, although with the walled section conveniently left out. And the words "Wish You Were Here" are printed across it. These words are underlined.

>>310733
She looks down at it.
"Oh, that would be the temple dedicated to Nature. It's in the city's Temple District."
She looks you over.
"Are you clergy visiting from another city? Why didn't your brothers and sisters give you directions?"

>>310776
There is a large, shaggy buffalo trying to speak with you. You aren't sure if he looks intelligent or not though.

Pomelo [Preacher] 310805

>>310796
"Never heard of ya."

I poke at Dreamkicker's side.
"So is he carrying our stuff like you said?"
"He doesn't seem very responsibable…"

Olga [Lifebinder] 310813

>>310804
"Why, yes I am. Of that, I have no idea! Probably some test, or.. well, maybe it's a prank, but I don't think a prankster would send me all these coins."

Head off.

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 310816

>>310796
"No, never. I am a student of the magical arts, thief, not an expert on every glorified highwayman."

"We are heading into the city. You may follow or not."

>>310805
I smirk and laugh a little.
"No, Pommy, we're not going to let him touch our luggage. He'll probably steal it. Or get lice in it."

Campfire 318933

Despite arriving on different days many of you were able to meet up with old friends and acquaintances. After speaking with each other you all discovered that you were summoned to this city by the same person or persons. A young goat mentioned that even more of your old friends were somewhere in the city, and after she bounced off Dreamkicker was able to use his magic to discern that they were both currently in the city's Temple District. Nightfall arrived before they could find the two missing goats though, and an innkeeper called them into her inn while warning them of the dangers of being out after sunset.

After finding and claiming several empty rooms the party retired for the night.

Everyone but Happyhorn and Olga please roll.

Happyhorn:
You spent most of yesterday exploring the rooftops of the Temple District. After discovering a large cathedral dedicated to the sun you accepted a priest's offer to stay there for the night.

Olga [Lifebinder] 319240

>>319235
"What sort of temple is this, anyway?"

Get into that hallway.

Bessy [Soothsayer] 319242

>>319235
"Nobody. Messes. With. My. Friends!"
I charge at her again.

Roll #1 9 + 1 = 10

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 319245

>>319221
"Really? Did those wardy-things go off last night? What do you think is after them?"

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 319247

>>319235
Well, let's start bashing. '1d10+1' the nearest.

Roll #1 6 + 1 = 7

I look around and see my friends, no.. my family in danger. "Now things are getting serious." I'll take this turn to transform into a wolf.

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 319251

>>319235
"Thanks."

Shoot him with the crossbow.

'1d10+1'

Roll #1 3 + 1 = 4

Campfire 319259

>>319240
You walk int the hallway. A young zebra carrying a torch nearly jumps out of his skin as you enter the pool of light cast by his torch.
"Oh! Y-you're awake?"

>>319242
You lower your head and hit her before gravity has a chance to pull her off the wall. There is a loud kersplat as her body bursts and pieces go flying everywhere.

>>319245
"Know them? It could any number of things in or around this city, or maybe even something that followed them here. As long as you are quiet you will be fine, but they might not be if you don't go fast."

>>319247
You bash one off them in the head with your shield. It strikes with the sound of a gong and the stallion goes stumbling away from you…

>>319248
And straight into Pomelo. While the pony is distracted you lock his back legs between your horns and twist you hear until you hear a pop as his leg is dislocated. For good measure you free your horns before rearing back on your hind legs and headbutting him.

>>319250
You are still on the roof. Everyone else is inside.
He looks surprised and takes a few steps back as you transform.
"What? No, you are all supposed to stay outside the city!"
+1 to your next attack.

>>319251
He dodges the bolt and punches you in the nose.

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 319260

"Nice work, little goat!"
Continuing the mayhem, and setting the shield to work again. '1d10+1'

Rolling to keep myself together and not flip that I just exploded a pone.
'1d10'

Roll #1 1 = 1

Campfire 319279

You bash a mare that was trying to sneak up on you from behind. She spits a fang out then leaps at you.
Roll an extra d10 during your next attack.

>>319261
He shuffles nervously.
"T-this is the Nature Temple. It's late and we're closed right now, so could you come back later?"

>>319264
You lose your shit and start screaming. You can feel it's blood soaking into the fur on your face, back, and sides and can feel some of it's guts hanging off your horns and lying on your back. You feel several ponies jump onto your back but cannot pull yourself together as you hear them draw several blades.

>>319265
It was an extra +1 because omitted for plot reasons
He turns around and bucks you as you leap at him.
"Stupid animal. They're ours, you hear me?"

>>319266
He ducks around behind you and starts pummeling your back with swift blows. The pain is making it hard to stand.

>>319267
"An inn nearby. I'll tell you the directions."
The large bird tells you how to get there as it leads you to the door.
"The innkeeper keeps the door locked at night. You goats are agile though, so you shouldn't have any trouble finding another way in."

>>319269
Your happy little tune pierces the noise of battle coming both from this current conflict and from another part of the second floor.
All your allies feel inspired and have a +1 to their next action.

Campfire 319280

>>319269
And you aren't horrified. Seeing that mare explode reminded you of the time Bessy jumped into a pool full of watermelons.

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 319281

>>319279
Well, can't have that. Take advantage of her exposing her weak underbelly by Slamming her into the wall. '1d10+1'

Hop out of the temple in the direction of the inn.

319284

>>319279
I shake my head and growl at him, "these are my people, I'll protect them." Is what I am saying, not sure if he can understand that but doesn't matter. Lets try a power attack, hard bite aiming for a leg or neck.

Roll #0 10 + 1 = 11

Pomelo [Preacher] 319285

>>319279
"GET OFF MY BUDDY!"
Hop up on Bessy's back and cheap shot one of them! '1d10+1'

"Get back!"

Storm Bolt for three hits on that guy. With the electrical stuff, obviously.
'1d10'

Roll #1 10 = 10

Campfire 319297

>>319281
She leaped to high for you t hit her, and she lands on your back. Fortunatly your thick wool keeps her from hurting you.

>>319282
You feel several daggers stab into your back. The pain combined with your mental trauma is too much and you fall down the stairs.
'1d10'

>>319283
You quickly come to the inn. You can hear fighting coming from the second floor and see the silhouettes of figures moving around against curtains drawn across the upstairs windows. You cannot see any windows open on this side of the inn.

>>319284
He is confused by your statement, and that gives you just enough time to go for his throat. Your powerful jaws clamp down on his windpipe, and with a powerful tug you rip his throat out. Not content with that you go in for a second attack and close your jaws around his neck and bite down hard. You can feel his neck snap and his body go limp.

>>319285
You jump onto her back and headbutt one off before she falls. You are at the top of the stairs with a vampire pinned underneath you. He looks weakened by all the fighting.

>>319286
He looks at it blankly.
"I don't know anything about that. If you come back tomorrow I can have someone else look at it. I'm only an initiate, you see."

>>319288
As your lightning strikes him you swear that you can see his skeleton for a few seconds before the now crispy vampire slumps to the ground, dead.

Roll #1 3 = 3

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 319298

>>319297
Right, well, I'll activate Guardian. '1d10' Don't want anyone to go out on me here.

Roll #1 9 = 9

Pomelo [Preacher] 319299

Bolster Bessy!

Olga [Lifebinder] 319300

>>319297
"I… see. Well, then, I'll just have to be going. Thank you, child."

I probably need to just get back to the inn now.

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 319301

>>319297
"Pommy, help Bessy!"

Shoot one of the vampires.
'1d10+1'

Roll #1 6 + 1 = 7

319302

>>319297
So he did understand.. Drag his body to the side so its not in the way. Alright, last turn as a wolf so I'll use it to track down the rest of my friends, rolling for it if you need.

Roll #0 4 = 4

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 319303

>>319297
"Huh, must be some party up there."

Hop around the building. Maybe one of the other windows is open.

Campfire 319304

>>319297

One of the vampires is caught completely under Bessy as she falls and suffers a fate similar to the mare who was splattered against the wall. The others only suffer broken limbs and try to unpin themselves.
'1d10'

Roll #1 6 = 6

Bessy [Soothsayer] 319306

Campfire 319309

>>319298
You take up a defensive stance to protect the others.
Bessy and Andelia are currently out of your reach and so are not protected.

>>319299
You do that.

>>319300
The path taking you out of the forest is much straighter than the one that lead you to the temple. When you get back to the inn you can hear the sounds of fighting coming from the second floor.

>>319302
You know exactly where your friends are. Looking down at the open window you just aren't sure how you will get back in. On the ground you can see a goat hop into view.

>>319303
You spot the open window at the back of the inn easily, as well as a-wait, is that a wolf on the roof?

>>319306
>>319307
You get back to your hooves, but aren't feeling to good right now.

>>319304
The vampires are able to stand up. They all look heavily wounded.

There is one vampire remaining upstairs.

Olga [Lifebinder] 319311

>>319309
"…fighting? Here?"

Ready my staff and go up.

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 319313

But it's a dog! A big, fuzzy dog!

Roll #0 1 = 1

319320

>>319317
I must stay focused! I'm getting paid for this after all.

Hop up to the window.

Roll #0 7 + 1 = 8

Campfire 319321

>>319301
>>319314
Your bolt catches the last vampire upstairs in the neck. He stumbles, but is still able to…

>>319313
Dodge your charge and kick your leg, causing you to lose your balance and fall own the stairs.
Roll.

>>319315
>>319316
Your piriapt glows red and you can feel certain disaster turn into an unbelievable success. Bessy is completely healed.

>>319317
IT'S A DOG ON THE ROOF! IT'S SO CUTE, AND YET SO MYSTERIOUS? WHY ARE YOU UP THERE, DOG? YOU ARE A DOG, NOT A BIRD!

>>319311
You try the door, but find it locked.

Bessy [Soothsayer] 319323

>>319309
"Oof…"
>>319321
"W- Wait! Other buffalo person!"
I try to grab him before he falls.
'1d10'

>>319321
Oh bother. '1d10'

Roll #1 7 = 7

319325

>>319309
Well, alright, three turns are up so I'm a pony now, check over the dead body for anything good, and look for the lowest part of the roof.

Roll #0 2 = 2

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 319326

>>319321
I DON"T KNOW

"HEY DOG WHAT ARE YOU DOING UP THERE. THERE MIGHT BE NASTIES ABOUT. A BIG BIRD PERSON TOLD ME. AM I SUPPOSED TO TELL YOU?"

Campfire 319327

>>319320
You quickly focus and jump up a few stacked boxes and through the window. Inside you can see a whole lot of blood, bodyparts, and a few familiar faces. Looks like Dreamkicker and Pomelo are up here.

>>319321
And Andelia's a pony again.

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 319329

>>319321
"I might need some help, too, Pommy."

Roll #0 5 = 5

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 319340

>>319327
"Is that-it is!"
Bounce over to them.

"It's the happy couple! How's married life treating you two! Do you have your own house with cutlery? Also, who exploded?"

Campfire 319341

>>319323
>>319324
Bessy catches you as you fall, saving you from hurting yourself, but also saving the vampires form possibly getting crushed.

>>319325
The pony had nothing on him at all. There is no low part of the roof, either. It slopes down at the front and back of the building, but each direction leads to a two story drop.

>>319331
You think better of trying to grab a giant buffalo who is currently falling and grab the vampire instead.

>>319329
While Pomelo holds it steady you are able to put a bolt through the vampire's eye. It twitches a few times before dying.

>>319334
You hear some commotion around back. When you get there you can see an open window and a pony on the roof.

319345

>>319341
No easy way down then? "Say, ..Happyhorn? Is that you? Can you toss me a rope or something?" Can I just sump down?

Roll #0 2 = 2

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 319347

>>319341

"Happyhorn? Not very surprising to see you here."

>>319354
"Are you hurt?"

Pomelo [Preacher] 319358

>>319354
I pat Bessy on the back and give her a hug
"Bessy buddy, what's wrong?"

Campfire 319360

>>319347
You bash one in the face with your shield. The force of the blow causes his skull to cave in. the last two go running for the door as fast as they can.
'1d10'

>>319352
There are still a few downstairs. The stairs are slick with blood so you spend your turn carefully making your way dowwn.

>>319354
You are able to pull yourself back together. They were trying to kill you and your friends, after all. Better that they died before they could really hurt your friends.

Roll #1 2 = 2

"Well they're trying to escape. No doubt to inform their infernal masters about us. I suggest we stop them."

>>319364
"Vampires."

Campfire 319377

>>319362
They jump out of the way at the last second and yoou slam into the door. Instead of flying off it's hinges the sturdy thing stops you in your tracks.

>>319363
You can see a pony on the roof. Do you know her from somewhere?

>>319366
You can't get off, but you can see an old goat in the alley behind the inn.

>>319370
They are over there, by the door.

>>319368
You hit one of them in the neck. He looks at you, then Brutus, then tries to jump through a window.

>>319382
Nope, in fact, that looks like Olga!
You also wonder if you could use Earthen Grasp to create a wooden ladder and climb down to the window.

>>319380
>>319386
>>319391
The three of you gang up and the last vampire before he can get out the window. Bessy knocks it down with her shot, Pomelo holds it still, and Brutus crushes its skull.
