Crypt Quest 2 Campfire 310515[Last 50 Posts]

In a mountainous region of the Ostrich-Pongarian Empire lies the city of Sighorsoara. Situated in a wide valley the city is surrounded by diligently farmed fields that are broken only by thick patches of trees and roads leading to the city. In the center of the valley many wooden structures rise up before a simple wall that looks more like it was built to keep out wildlife and bandits rather than an attacking army. Behind the wall stand many buildings made of stone; most are simple enough, but in two parts of the city large towers and spires that gleam in the noontime sun stand above the surrounding structures. Above even these, though, rise thick, imposing walls made of dark grey stone. A storm cloud sits like a lid at the top of the walls, and a careful eye can pick out a few pegasi maintaining it.

Andelia and Mirabelle
When you arrived home after the events in the crypt below the cemetery outside that small town you found a letter waiting for you. You are unsure how the two friends you made learned where you lived, but once or twice a month a new letter from them would arrive to tell you of their struggles, their successes, and anything else they felt like telling you. These continued for a few months before stopping with no explanation. After a silence spanning more than half a year you received a large sum of foreign coins and a letter with only one word: "Sighorsoara"

Dreamkicker, Pomelo, And Bessy
Nearly a year after the events under the small town's cemetery life has returned to normal, or as close to normal as it can possibly be. This was broken one day by the arrival of two bags of foreign coins and two pictures, one addressed to Pomelo and one addressed to Bessy. Each one looked as if it had been drawn by a pair of foals, and each one had the same thing on it. A goat wearing a large gold crown and a billowing purple cape riding atop a shaved unicorn with an expression of pure stupidity on his face and stink lines rising from his body. Behind them is a buffalo with a feathered headband. They are all standing by a sign that says WELCOME TO SIGHORSOARA.

After returning home to your land you found a gift waiting for you. A bit of research revealed it to be something that Equestrian worshipers of Nature send to whoever they consider a mentor as a thank yo present. Nearly a year after that you receive a postcard with a picture of a large building that looks to be made of equal parts cut stone and living trees, a few stalks of the uncreative named Sighorsoarian Wildflower, and a bag full of foreign coins. Below the picture are printed words asking the recipient to visit Sighorsoara soon. Both "visit" and "soon" have been underlined.

After almost a year of living a life from your new perspective a postcard and bag of foreign money appears on your doorstep. The picture on the front is of a city and the words printed above it invite you to visit the beautiful city of Sighorsoara. The postcard itself is addressed to "Mr. or Ms. Happyhorn."

Everyone else
Whether you have been adventuring around the nation or were summoned here with a postcard and bag of coins is your choice.

Would one person from each group, with the exception of the last group, roll 2d10? People in the last group should each roll 2d10.

Bessy [Soothsayer] 310527

"What do you think this is all about Pommy?"

Olga 310528

"Why would they even send me this. Huh. Time to go."

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310529

I came here to bring music and cheer for everyone of course!
And ooh, what's this?

Roll #1 6, 9 = 15

"Mail? For the infamous Muddy Morass? No doubt it's the law, asking me to turn myself in once again. They'll never convince me! I'm stone cold."

A bit of a theatrical display to give to a mailpony.

Roll #0 2, 7 = 9

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 310536

Wandering through town, as usual. Who knows where I'll end up next.

Read the postcard.

Andelia [druid] 310574

"Its definitely foreign. " Ha putting the right class on might help.

Campfire 310599

This happened a while ago. I'm assuming each of you have already traveled to the city. Sorry for not being more clear.

You have been in the city for a little over a day now, and your wanderings around it have taken you to the cemetery beyond what you have heard called the Adventurer's District.

Your journey has just come to it's end. You stand on a road next to a large, old graveyard. The road continues onwards to the city of Sighorsoara. You can hear the clip clop o hooves behind you.

You wander through the large city you have just arrived in and find yourself outside it's walls and in the cemetery. You should pay more attention to where you walk.

You stop by a drink vendor's cart in the city's Temple district. The postcard looks the same as several others you have seen in giftshops around the city during your day-and-a-half here, but the words "please" and "visit" have been underlined.

The two of you arrived in the city yesterday, and after finding a room and asking a few questions decided that the best place to start looking for the Twins was in a cemetery. So far neither of you have had any luck.

There is nothing else written on this note, but the word is large and looks like it was written with urgency. It was obviously written by one of the Twins, and they obviously wanted you to heed their call as fast as you could.

After a long journey the three of you arrived at the outskirts of the city. After stopping for a brief lunch break at an inn by a collection of farmer's huts at the outer edge of the city's field you all continued down the road towards the city. Currently each of you are passing by a graveyard. On the road as well is a pegasus stallion.

The last of your coins ran out a a few days before arriving at the city. It's a pity you never paid attention to how they looked.

You know that ponies and ostriches live here, and you think that at one point it was two separate nations.

With those words you leave the your room in an inn on the west side of the Adventurer's District. It was a cozy enough place to spend the night, but finding a place to stay took up all of your time yesterday.

Bessy [Soothsayer] 310608

I enthusiastically wave to the stallion.
"Hi there! Are you coming from Sighorsoara? What's the city like? Is it fun?"

Olga [Lifebinder] 310616

Am I already in Sighorsoara?

Pomelo [Preacher] 310617

I hop on Bessy back and wave at him too, trying to stand and make myself look as tall as I can.
"Hiya! Are you here for the party too?"

"Well, Mirabee, this city seems normal enough. " I take a look around for any signs of trouble as we explore.

Roll #0 9 = 9

Weeeeird. Whoever this is must have really wanted to meet me.

Look around the district. Does anything catch my eye? I've never been here before…

Roll #0 2 + 2 = 4

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310620

Awww, I hope it's not too sad!
Put some streamers on the trees just in case to liven up the space!

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 310621

"You there — pegasus. We are looking for two ponies. They would be odd looking. Twins, as well. Pale and… almost corpselike."

Olga [Lifebinder] 310628

Nevermind that. Let's go find that building. Look for someone.

Muddy Morass [Pegasus Charlatan] 310629

He raise a brow. "I guess so. Adventuring parties are always desperate for such a master of stealth and cunning as I. Plus I got this letter."

"Hm. I haven't seen anyone like that, but I only just arrived myself. Still, my incredibly amazing tracking skills might be of assistance."

Mirabelle [Maid] 310634

"Bien sûr! But how are ve going to find zose twins? Yopu know zem better than I do!"

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 310637

"Bollocks, I seem to have gotten turned around!"
Turning back towards the wall, I'll reenter the city.
"Honestly, I should have just bought a map…"
I'll head back to the road.
Can I see the others? '1d10'

Roll #1 2 = 2

Pomelo [Preacher] 310641

"Oh, you got a party invitation? …Did it have a weird picture drawn on it too?"

Muddy Morass [Pegasus Charlatan] 310649

I hold up my letter and announce cheerfully. "I didn't read a word past the name of the city!"

Can I read it out loud to the party?

Bessy [Soothsayer] 310654

"But if you didn't read past the name how'd ya know it's a party invitation?"

Pomelo [Preacher] 310657

"Hey Bessy… maybe he can't read!"

Bessy [Soothsayer] 310664

"Hu- Oh! What makes you think that?"

Andelia [druid] 310665

I cheerfully smile. "I wouldn't worry too much, the twins usually have a way of finding us." I laugh a bit, but its pretty clear I'm just as worried as a mother would be.

Muddy Morass [Pegasus Charlatan] 310666

"I already told you! Everyone wants a piece of Muddy Morass. There was money inside, so I came on ahead. The only ones who aren't scrambling to get me to their side are the legions of officers trying to arrest me."

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 310667

"At least they didn't send you the picture."

Pomelo [Preacher] 310672

"The name was so hard to read he had to give up!"

"Yeah, it's not even accurate. Your butt's not bald anymore!"

Campfire 310678

You spot a goat tossing streamers into a few trees growing around a rest area in the cemetery. It reminds reminds you somewhat of a goat you met before, but this one is the wrong gender.

Everything blends together here. The buildings are all tall and look hundreds of years old. There are temples, large and small, seemingly everywhere; many to deities you do not recognize.

You toss streamers into the trees near an area that looks like it was meant for visitors that need a place to rest their hooves and mourn. This out to help cheer up any future visitors.

You'll need to roll for that.

Your shaggy coat hangs over your eyes and you nearly run into a large tombstone.

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 310685

"Oh, my apologies to the departed."
Brushing the hair away, I'll look again. I came in here, so there has to be a way out.

Roll #1 5 = 5

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 310688

"Ahem, yes. There were quite a few inaccuracies in it."

"Regardless, we need to find them. If they tried to seek us out it was for a reason."

Aww. Why build something so tall if you're not going to use it to play on?

Jump up on top of the buildings! Maybe I can see more up there!

Roll #0 2 = 2

Let's hope my eyes aren't failing

Roll #0 9 = 9

Pomelo [Preacher] 310697

I hop off Bessy and stand between her and Dreamkicker.
"Right! Lead the way, Dreamy!"

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310698

"Yay! Now noone will have to mope around here!"
Bounce around and inspect my work.

Roll #1 4 = 4

Mirabelle [Maid] 310699

"Mmmm… zat is true. Zey did find our address…"
I look around
"I do not like zis country very much though."

Bessy [Soothsayer] 310702

"You're right! They sought us out for a… party!"
I giggle and do a little hop.

Andelia [druid] 310708

"Say, does that goat look.. familiar?" Trot over to Buttermilk.
"Hello there!"

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310710

Start bouncing around her.
"I'm Buttermilk Sky, who are you?"

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 310717

"Once again, I doubt this 'party' hypothesis very much."

"Mr. Morass — I take it you are some sort of brigand or thief? Your skills may be useful in this, and in any case we are traveling in the same direction. I invite you to follow us… at a safe distance and away from our saddlebags."

Andelia [druid] 310718

I tilt my head a little. "I'm Andelia, we haven't met before have we?" I shake my head a bit. "What brings you here Buttermilk Sky?"

Mirabelle [Maid] 310719

"… non?"

"Uh… Bonjour ma petite chèvre! My name is Mirabelle. Vhat are you doing here?"

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310725

"I don't think we have! And I'm here to throw parties and play music and make everypony and every creature smile!"

I giggle and start bouncing around her instead.
"You talk funny!"

Campfire 310729

The cemetery houses a good portion of the city's dead, so it stretches out pretty far in every direction. You cannot find your way out, but can hear voices from not too far way.

You try to scale the sides of the closely packed buildings like the ancient goat assassins, but are unable to get a good hoofhold and nearly fall flat on your back. The people around you are starting to look at you funny.

In the inn's common room you spot a pony wearing a rather tall, wide brimmed hat.
"Yes? What is it that you want, miss?"

You've done better work before. This looks pretty lousy.

Olga [Lifebinder] 310733

"Oh, how kind of you to help an old biddy! Now, if you would please direct me to this building?"

Show her the letter.

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 310735

I'll head towards the voices then.
"Hallo! I seem to be rather lost! Could I perhaps get some assistance?"

Andelia [druid] 310741

"Well that certainly sounds like a goat I knew before, but we haven't time for a party our friends maybe in danger."

I smile and wave at them all from the ground.
"What, none of you have done this before?"

Again! I want to see the top of this town!

Roll #0 7 = 7

Muddy Morass [Pegasus Charlatan] 310745

I play wounded.

"What kind of thief tries to sneak away with goods unannounced? That's downright dishonorable. I give you my honest vow as a rogue of good intent that I will not steal from you without warning. Sincerely."

I give a winning grin. I even have Compassion!

Pomelo [Preacher] 310746

"Aw, don't worry. We throw our own party then! No creepy twins looking at you funny or anything!"

Mirabelle [Maid] 310750

"Uh… merci? Are you from around here? Have you seen two tall and pale ponies perchance?"

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310760

I shake my head.
"Nope! Just got here a day ago! Why are you talking like that?"

"What? You mean now? Danger is not fun!"

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 310768

I roll my eyes.

"Oh, yes, we have the honest word of a thief! Well I'm sure we can all rest easy knowing that our purses are safe in his hooves. Bessy, please, just give him the luggage. Oh, of course, let him search it for valuables! That's just part of his customary gold-piece-cleaning service, I'm sure."

"Do you think we're stupid?"

"Well, its pretty important that we find them, have fun with your party.." Is there anyone who looks more.. knowledgeable nearby?

Roll #0 3 = 3

Mirabelle [Maid] 310779

"I am not from around here, ma petite chèvre. I'm from Prance, zat's why."

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 310781

"My ears must be playing tricks on me."
I'll yell out again.
"Hello! Is there anyone around? I've gotten horribly lost in this blasted cemetery!"

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310786

"Wait! I can tag along! Maybe help you find them!"

"Ooooooh…. are there good parties there? What about music?"
I look around.
"And do you think I did a lousy job with the streamers?"

Do I hear that?

Roll #1 2 = 2

Mirabelle [Maid] 310790

I look around
"I am not sure zis is the right place for ze streamers, ma puce…"

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310793

"It's to make ponies who get here stop being sad and start being happy!"

Andelia [druid] 310795

"Not at all, your streamers are fine, but this will probably be dangerous, are you sure you're up for it?"

Muddy Morass [Pegasus Charlatan] 310796

I genuinely am injured now.

"But my honesty is infamous and legend. Surely you've heard of the legendary Muddy Morass and his incredible feats of bravery in the face of greed!"

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310800

"I can defend myself! And at least I can make some friends!"

I chortle.

Campfire 310804

this time your quickly bound your way up onto the back of a large pony, then a cart, then a windowsill, then up onto the roof of one of the smaller buildings. From here you can more clearly see the tops of the grandest temples in this district, one of which gleams with reflected sunlight. In the distance you can see a few tall buildings in another section of the city, and the large wall that separates part of the city from the rest of the world.

It is a simple postcard. It has a picture of the city, although with the walled section conveniently left out. And the words "Wish You Were Here" are printed across it. These words are underlined.

She looks down at it.
"Oh, that would be the temple dedicated to Nature. It's in the city's Temple District."
She looks you over.
"Are you clergy visiting from another city? Why didn't your brothers and sisters give you directions?"

There is a large, shaggy buffalo trying to speak with you. You aren't sure if he looks intelligent or not though.

Pomelo [Preacher] 310805

"Never heard of ya."

I poke at Dreamkicker's side.
"So is he carrying our stuff like you said?"
"He doesn't seem very responsibable…"

Olga [Lifebinder] 310813

"Why, yes I am. Of that, I have no idea! Probably some test, or.. well, maybe it's a prank, but I don't think a prankster would send me all these coins."

Head off.

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 310816

"No, never. I am a student of the magical arts, thief, not an expert on every glorified highwayman."

"We are heading into the city. You may follow or not."

I smirk and laugh a little.
"No, Pommy, we're not going to let him touch our luggage. He'll probably steal it. Or get lice in it."

We head further into the city.
'1d10' for whatever reason you want

Roll #1 3 = 3

a buffalo.. does he look undead or tranced? "Hello there, are you looking for me?"
"Alright then Buttermilk. I won't stop you from joining us for now."

Roll #0 8 = 8

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310828

"Yay! Thanks!"

Muddy Morass [Pegasus Charlatan] 310829

I trot along behind them, protesting.

"I don't have lice, and I told you, I'm not going to take without warning! That would be dishonorable."

Pomelo [Preacher] 310830

I follow and pull Bessy along
"Come on Bessy, can't have you gettin' his bugs!"

Mirabelle [Maid] 310832

"You can stay ma petite puce, I don't mind."

Campfire 310834

Oh right.
Pomelo, Bessy, Deamkicker, and Muddy Morass please roll.
Nevermind, Dreamkicker doesn't have to roll.

She calls after you.
"Try not to be out after dark! This city is rife with evil of all kinds!"
Roll 1d10.

Nope, just shaggy.

"Evil? Suppose that is my job!"

Roll #0 3 = 3

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 310838

Roll #1 10 = 10

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 310840

I'll chuckle.
"Truth told, I was looking for anyone who could direct me out of this blasted cemetery. I seem to have gotten lost somehow, though finding you and your friends appears to have gotten me out of that bind."
I'll join them on the road.
"Nice to meet you, by the way. The name's Brutus. And yours?"

Pomelo [Preacher] 310841

Roll #1 6 = 6

Roll #0 5 = 5

Bessy [Soothsayer] 310844

"Well that's good. I have all my party supplies in here! And I can't afford to lose those!"

Andelia [druid] 310847

"I'm Andelia, I'm looking for a pair of twins, they don't seem to be here thou.. "

Mirabelle [Maid] 310849

"I am Mirabelle, very nice to meet you monsieur Brutus."

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 310850

"Twins? Well, what kind of twins? Buffalo twins, pony twins, goat twins, ostrich twins? There's all sorts of twins, you know."

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310851

"What's a puce?"

I boune around him too.
"Hi! I'm Buttermilk Sky!"

I smile. "Pony twins, oddly enough I expected them to be here or at least some clue to their location."

Roll #0 1 = 1

Muddy Morass [Pegasus Charlatan] 310857

I trot up beside Pomelo and whisper.

[s]"I'm only telling you because you seem like the nicest of the bunch, but there WAS a time when I was an unscrupulous rogue! Perhaps the tales of my guile from back then have ruined my reputation? Nonetheless, I have found religion! Muddy Morass is now a good pony! I assure you. Sincerely."

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 310859

"Oooh, shiny!"

Bound off towards the big, reflective temple.

Muddy Morass [Pegasus Charlatan] 310860

Roll #1 6 = 6

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 310872

I'll nod.
"And a pleasure it is to meet you two as well, misses Sky and Mirabelle."
"I'm afraid I can't help you, though. I've only recently arrived in town, you see, and as you can tell I'm not too familiar with it. Though, if you don't mind the imposition, I find that the tavern is usually the best place to find information in new places."

Campfire 310873

Eyes dead ahead you make your way to the city's Temple District, only occasionally having to stop and ask for directions. After quite a bit of walking your reach the other edge of town and arrive in the Temple District.

You start walking, but trip on a loose paving stone. After hitting the ground you hear a buffalo shouting something in the cemetery.

You can hear someone shouting in the cemetery.

You can't hear anything.

Bessy [Soothsayer] 310875

Haha phone stop fucking up.

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310884

I giggle and shake my head.
"Nono, call me Buttermilk!"

"Seems like a good enough place to start." I sigh a bit an head toward where the tavern would be.

Roll #0 7 = 7

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 310890

Pick myself up and dust myself off.

"Well I wouldn't expect another buffalo this far from the west."

Mirabelle [Maid] 310891

Follow her

Looks for that temple! Best prepare a talisman in case.

Rolling if needed.

Roll #0 7 = 7

Muddy Morass [Pegasus Charlatan] 310893

A frown. "I'm not covered in lice. How about this, then?"

Throw together my best Dreamkicker disguise, on the spot, and put it on. '1d10+2'

"How lice-ridden do I look now?"

Roll #1 6 + 2 = 8

Campfire 310895

You can hear shouting coming from somewhere.

Pomelo [Preacher] 310899

"Ya hear that? Someone shouting!"

"…Why are you dressing up like my Dreamy? Stop that, it's creepy!"

"Maybe they're hurt and need help!"
I start hopping in the direction of the yelling

Bessy [Soothsayer] 310900

"Another buffalo? Where?"
I try to look around for it.

Roll #1 6 = 6

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310901

I follow her.
"Or we could just ask Pinkie!"

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 310902

I'll smile.
"As you say, Miss Buttermilk."
I'll follow after her as well. She seems to know where she's going.

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 310905

So…where am I?

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 310907

"Don't harass the goat, thief."

"And you don't have the snout to pull of the main, by the way."

"In that cemetery, I think."

I head into the cemetery, following Pomelo.

Andelia [druid] 310908

"I'm afraid the pink one doesn't hear my calls. You're welcome to try it thou."
"Who knew so many goats liked to party this much?" I say to you.

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 310911

Mane, even.

Mirabelle [Maid] 310913

"… maybe zey just vant to chew on my outfit?"

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310917

I chortle.
"Does it taste like cake?"

Okie dokie lokie!
Get out my flute and play a quick tune for Pinkie.
Hi! Where are the twins?

Roll #1 10 + 2 = 12

Andelia [druid] 310922

I giggle a bit. "Well, its certainly one explanation. But this one seems to have more manners than that."
"I wonder, are you also a party-er, Brutus?"

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 310925

"If the mood strikes, I'm not one to turn down a dance or drink. Though moderation is usually a good thing for me, as I'm obviously rather large, and could hurt someone if I'm not careful."

Muddy Morass [Pegasus Charlatan] 310926

I lurk after them in my convincing Dreamkicker disguise. At least I don't look lice ridden like this.

I look impressed with your catchy tune. "You really have talent Buttermilk."
"That's a wise statement. This all feels.. well, never mind, its a good thing you're here I think. " do I see anyone else around?

Roll #0 10 = 10

Campfire 310936

The four of you start walking towards the buildings standing in the distance, assuming the the exit to the cemetery and an inn must be in that direction. Before you can get very far Andelia can hear the sound of something small coming towards them.

The buffalo is somewhere in the cemetery. You are on the road outside it.

You prepare a talisman as you walk, and before too long find yourself in front of a large park. Many tall trees and thick undergrowth grow here and a small dirt path leads through them.

After a bit of hopping you can spot two ponies, a goat, and a buffalo walking away from you.

You spot movement in the direction that Pomelo is hoping.

On top of a building in the Temple District.
Roll 1d10.

Silly little goat, you don't have Fourth Eye, you aren't even the right class! That was a nice tune though, so here's what I can tell you: Find Olga and Happyhorn if you want to find the Twins.

Roll #0 2 = 2

Campfire 310942

You can see Pomelo hopping towards you, and get the feeling his two friends and one other are nearby.

Roll #1 5 = 5

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310948

I giggle.

Help is help at the end of the day! Thanks and rock on!
"Pinkie says that if we find Olga and Happyhorn we can find the Twins! Do you know them?"

Pomelo [Preacher] 310952

Run after and try to get in front of them d10'

Andelia [druid] 310953

"There! Up ahead, its the other party goat." I sprint toward Pomelo.

I gesture to empty air as Andelia has dashed off.
"Hrmph. We'd best follow, I suppose."

Andelia [druid] 310974

..so, did we meet in the middle?

Olga [Lifebinder] 310975

Keep walking. This might be the place.

Campfire 310979

You are so busy hoping around on the roof and ignore the guards shouting at you that you completely miss a very familiar old goat walking on the street below you. She's gone now.

The stallion disguised as you is really throwing you off, but you manage to not lose Pomelo's trail. You can hear him talking with several other people up ahead.

You jump off the top of a monument and land in front of Andelia.

You continue walking. Roll 1d10.

Roll #0 6 = 6

Pomelo [Preacher] 310983

I was waiting for campfire. You saw me but I just saw your butts

"Hey… Andy?! Andy, hi!"
I give her a big hug, then immediately loosen my grip and continue hover hoof hugging her.
Gotta watch them girl germs

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310985

"ooooooh, you know each other?"

Mirabelle [Maid] 310989

"Oh Pomelo! Bonjour!"

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 310991

"I take it you know this goat, Miss Mirabelle?"

Pomelo [Preacher] 310995

"Myra-.. Meero-… miss pretty mare! Hi!"
I wave at her

"Uh huh! Are you friends with Andy and Miss pretty mare?"

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 310996

Keep on hopping. This is how everyone should travel.

Andelia [druid] 310998

I hug him back. "Its been a while Pommy. Did you throw a big party like you wanted too before?"
I nod. "Yeah, this another goat who loves to party just as much as you seem to."
I gesture between the two. "Buttermilk Sky, meet Pomelo, Pomelo meet Buttermilk Sky. Oh, and we also met this Buffalo" I gesture toward him >>310991 "along the way, he's Brutus."
I smile a bit and then get serious leaning into Pomelo's ear. "The twins are in danger Pommy, do you have any clues? Or know where the others are?"

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 310999

"Yes! We just made friends with each other! Hi, I'm Buttermilk Sky! Who are you?"

Campfire 311001

You can hear the trees and bushes rustles as birds and small animals watch you walk. The path twists and turns several times before coming to an empty clearing.

Roll for agility.

Roll #0 3 = 3

Muddy Morass [Pegasus Charlatan] 311003

"Good! Everyone knows each other already. That makes things easy."

Tap the ground with my staff as I walk.

got to get to that temple soon.

Roll #0 9 = 9

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 311006

"Hello, Andelia. I suppose they summoned you here, too?"

"Oh, wonderful. Hello, Mirabelle."

Andelia [druid] 311008

"Ah, well yes they did. We really need to find them quickly.. Is anyone else with you?"
I narrow my eyes a bit "I didn't see you arrive, who are you?"

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 311009

"You ran off, but Pinkie answered you know. She said we need to find Olga and Happyhorn to find the twins. Do you know them?"

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 311010

I'll make my greetings to the other party.
"It seems I've chanced upon two groups of friends. What luck."

Pomelo [Preacher] 311012

I wave at the two.
"Nice to meet you! Oh gosh Andy we had so many parties and fun an-"
"Oh right, those two. They sent us funny looking pictures and we figured they'd be around here. No idea where!"

Bessy [Soothsayer] 311017

"We did have so many parties! It was great!"
I hop excitedly.
"…Do you know where the twins are, Andy?"

Andelia [druid] 311018

My eyes brighten. "Ah, I do! They're old friends of mine. I suppose it makes sense that we need the old group together for this.. whatever this is.. Thank you Buttermilk."

Buttermilk Sky [Bard] 311021

"You're welcome!"

"Did you say parties! I love parties!"

Muddy Morass [Pegasus Charlatan] 311023

I'm still dressed in a convincing (8) disguise of Dreamkicker.

"Muddy Morass! Reformed criminal and servant of good."

I toss off my disguise.

"Behold the legend himself."

Andelia [druid] 311025

"Oh, that's great! I bet it was fu- Funny looking pictures? Can I see them? And it seems like we need to find olga and happyhorn, they might be with the twins."

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 311028

"No you may not see them."

Pomelo [Preacher] 311033

"Oh. Never mind!"

Andelia [druid] 311036

Oh, I see, sorry then..
"So.. you're not a mirror image?"

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 311040

"Pardon me for interrupting this reunion, but would it not be more merry in the tavern? There we would have drinks, and perhaps music to commemorate this meeting of friends, old and new."

Muddy Morass [Pegasus Charlatan] 311043

"Not at all! I got an invitation. A postcard. Someone wished I was here, and sent me money. That's usually how people hire me. You're the ones that hired me, right? Consider my considerable skills at looking like a mirror image at your service."

Bessy [Soothsayer] 311045

"Wait, there's a tavern near by?… We gotta go there!"
I run over to the nearest tall thing and hop up on top of it, trying to peer around looking for where the tavern might be.
"We didn't hire anyone, did we Pommy? Did you Dreamy?"

Campfire 311048

Despite your natural agility you misjudge your next jump and fall to the ground below. Luckily enough you were able to roll when you landed so the impact wasn't very bad, but you can hear guards running towards your position.

As you tap the ground several flowers sprout and bloom. They form a winding path as you walk and before too long you can see the building on the card you received. A path of flowers and soft grass lead between old statues that are held together by creeping vines. The temple itself Stands tall, but not nearly as tall as any of the massive trees surrounding it. The stones making it look as if they would collapse if not for the thick trees holding it up, and the trees look like they would not have grown quite so well if it were not for the water funnel to them by small aqueducts carver into the stone of the building. The doors of the temple stand open.

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 311052

"Not since I fired that miserable porter on the Everfree border."

Andelia [druid] 311053

"I don't know, I'd really like to find happy horn and olga first, I doubt olga would be at a tavern. I suppose we could meet you back there if you're tired. "
I frown at you. "As long as it wasn't important."
"We're glad to have you along, but It wasn't I who hired you, Perhaps you can let me see your letter? Unless you've burnt it already?"

"Splendid! All this waking in a city was quite refreshing, too."

Walk in, and rolling in case

Pomelo [Preacher] 311059

"Oh gosh. Tavern party!" I follow her, and look for a way to a tavern '1d10'

Roll #1 7 = 7

Muddy Morass [Pegasus Charlatan] 311060

I cheerfully hand over the letter.

For your benefit, it was described as a postcard of the city with "Wish you were here" and nothing more.

"No problem, boss."

Andelia [druid] 311063

Surely I can tell if it was written by the twins? '1d10'

Roll #1 4 = 4

Oooooooh biscuts.

Goat away from here! Keep away!

Roll #0 9 = 9

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 311069

"I'm not tired at all! I just thought it a good place to formally meet. And besides, I had hoped you would know where it is."

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 311075

"I'm afraid we're all new to this city. Indeed, I'm not very familiar with this country, let alone the immediate area.

"But if Happyhorn and…. ugh…. Olga are here, then we should find them. They may know what is going on."

I cast Sight Beyond Sight to see through surrounding walls or buildings. Do I see any goats nearby?

Roll #1 9 + 2 = 11

Campfire 311080

The sun is starting to set.

The two of you start walking towards the city. As you draw closer you can hear the sound of a commotion coming from within the Adventurer's district.

It's dark in here, and quiet too. You can see no sign of anyone or anything in here.

The words were underlined too.

There is no writing. The words across the front were printed there by whoever made the card. The underlining is just a line that was drawn later, and a faint one at that.

You scramble out of the alleyway and back onto the street. Sitting on a bench with a few other goats you keep your head down until the guards have passed.

Many goats, but you can also see the two you seek. Happyhorn is sitting on a bench in the Temple District near a large plaza. Olga is inside the Nature Temple deep inside a small forest in the city. You can see several somethings keeping an eye on her.

Andelia [druid] 311082

I sigh. "This tells me nothing. You can have it back. " I hand the post card back to the pegasus.

Oh, perfect conditions for meditating. Unless, of course. I have been trapped.

Rolling to look around.

Roll #0 5 = 5

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 311085

I'll motion to the others.
"Shouldn't we be following those two? The city's rather large, and getting separated could take valuable time from your search as you look for your misplaced friends."

Pomelo [Preacher] 311086

"Ya hear that Bessy? All that noise…. someone must be celebrating something!"

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 311087

Enhance! What are those somethings?

Also I stay with Bessy and Pomelo.

"Olga seems to be in some sort of Nature Temple. Happyhorn is also in what looks like the temple district."

Roll #1 7 + 2 = 9

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 311088

Smile and pat the head of the nearest goat, then keep heading in the direction of the big temple.

Bessy [Soothsayer] 311090

"Mmhm! What do you think they're celebrating? It sounds like a… wedding celebration to me?"

Andelia [druid] 311097

"So, we need to head to the temple then? Which way is that?"

Pomelo [Preacher] 311099

"Yeah, it sorta sounds like one! We should totally go say hi!"

"Oh gosh, you can see them? Let's go get 'em and have a big ol' happy reunion!"

Muddy Morass [Pegasus Charlatan] 311110

After accepting the letter, I sort of trot along behind Andelia.

"You call the shots, boss."

Bessy [Soothsayer] 311114

"We should!"
"Do you know where either of those are?"

Campfire 311120

It's dark in here. Your old, goaty eyes cannot see well in the dark. It seems empty enough though.

You can see an armed pony watching the Temple doors while another watches out for danger nearby. Inside the temple you can see several large animals and a few ponies hiding above in the shadows. You can also see a few large birds watch the two ponies outside the temple.

You follow the road as it grows wider and eventually come to a large circular plaza. On the leftmost edge you can see the large temple from earlier. It stands taller than anything else around it, and the golden towers and domes reflect the light of the setting sun beautifully. A large sun made of gold leaf stands above the doors, which open to the east to greet the morning sun. The doors themselves are covered with burnished brass and stand wide open, inviting all to enter. There are many other things in this plaza, but the temple currently has your attention.

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 311121

"Um, yes. That way."
Let's head towards the temple district.

Roll #1 3 = 3

Andelia [druid] 311128

"Alright then." I follow you but seeing you're a bit unsure..
"Fly up ahead and see if you can spot this nature temple, or an old goat that one's Olga, happy horn's a young goat, might not be easy to spot. "

Seems isn't good enough.

Check again!

Roll #0 8 = 8

Bessy [Soothsayer] 311130

Follow behind him, hopping along.
"…You sure this is the right way?"
Do I notice the right way?

Roll #1 3 = 3

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 311132

If the group is moving, I'll follow along behind. It's not like I've anything better to do, after all, and perhaps their lost friends could use some help.

Pomelo [Preacher] 311133

"No clue where we're going…"
Climb on Bessy's back and look for the right way '1d10'

Roll #1 9 = 9

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 311138

"Whoooooa. Shiny…"

Wander on over into the temple.

Search for those things I was told to search for. On the double!

Roll #0 6 = 6

Campfire 311152

The sun has nearly set by now.

You take the lead and end up getting the group lost. The commotion from earlier dies down.

Listening closely you can her several things breathing above you.

This seems like the right way.

You follow along.

From your vantage point you can spot several pious looking people walking together in a group. Maybe you can follow them?

When you each the door you can hear singing and bells ringing inside. A pony wearing a white robe with yellow designs on it leaves his place by the door an approaches you. He speaks a few languages before finally trying an accented Equestrian.
"It is late, goat. Do you have a place to stay?"

You fly up into the air. From up here you can see a large patch of green standing out from the tans and greys of the buildings and the reds and blues of their tiled roofs. That might be a good place to start looking.

Oh, boy.

Look up and ready my staff.

Roll #0 2 = 2

Muddy Morass [Pegasus Charlatan] 311158

Swing back to the lost group of Dreamkicker & Co. from the air to report back to Andelia.

"Found a lot of green. In my experience, that screams nature in a city."

Pomelo [Preacher] 311162

"Hey, they look like they know where some temples are!"
I hop off and start following them

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 311169

"Uh…no. Not really. Normally I just sleep wherever's most comfortable. Why are you wearing a dress?"

Campfire 311185

Your old hooves drop your staff. The things up there make no move.

He huffs.
"It's a robe, not a dress. I am guessing that you are out at this hour because you have recently arrived in the city. If you have already rented a room at one of the inns you should return there quickly. If not we may be able to find a place for you here."

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 311188

Huh. Where are we?

Also, who am I with now?

Roll #1 1 = 1

Bessy [Soothsayer] 311189

"Wait up!"
I follow after him.

Campfire 311190

You and the rest of your group follow them to the Temple District. After they reach it they split into smaller groups and disappear into several different buildings. A mare looks out of one of the larger building and shouts at the group.
"What are you fools doing out there?"

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 311193

"Nope…no room for me. What d'you mean? Is there something going on outside tonight?"

Campfire 311194

In the Temple District. The streets are narrow here and you have become sandwiched between Brutus and Muddy Morass, with Pomelo standing a few feet in front of you.

Pomelo [Preacher] 311196

I look up and wave
"We're looking for a friend! …Wait, fool? What did I do, you meanie butt?!"
I stick my tongue out at her

Andelia [druid] 311197

"Well done! That's got to be that place. Lead us over there please."

Bessy [Soothsayer] 311198

"We're just looking for our frie- Wait, fool? We're not fools you big jerk!"
I blow a raspberry at her.

"Who would be up there?"

Roll #0 2 = 2

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 311200

"Stand aside, Pommy. Let me deal with the harlot."

"YOU THERE! PEASANT! We're looking for the nature temple. Where is it?"

Muddy Morass [Pegasus Charlatan] 311202

"We are running out of space here…"

Quick! To save space, I'll disguise myself as a small animal, like a bird. Physics is all about perception anyway, right? '1d10+2'

Roll #1 5 + 2 = 7

Campfire 311204

He scowls and looks away.
"There is something going on every night, and neither the city watch nor the Inquisition can do a thing about it. Evil walks these streets, and those that stay out without the blessed Sun to watch over them often vanish and are never seen again. For your sake either accept a place on a pew for the night, or find a nearby inn."

"Of course you are fools! I've got some rooms left, so come inside unless you all have a deathwish!"

A few bats fly out. It must have just been them.

"Inside the forest, numbnuts! Even if you do make it there before the sun sets the trees will only make it easier for them to get you! Hurry and get inside or get going, because I'm locking the door soon!"

You dress up like a bird, but keep your current size.

Sit down and meditate for now.

Roll #0 10 = 10

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 311207

"Perhaps…. perhaps we should follow her advice." Into the tavern!

Pomelo [Preacher] 311208

I nod and follow alongside him

Bessy [Soothsayer] 311209

I also nod and follow with them.

Muddy Morass [Pegasus Charlatan] 311210

Carefully fold up my bird disguise and put it away before I follow them inside. Who knows when I'll need to be a bird again?

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 311211

"Huh. That sounds like nastiness if I've ever heard it, and I've heard some nasties. I've slept in worse places!"

Thank him and bounce in.

"Maybe you have some pare dresses in there! It looks gourmet!"

Campfire 311212

Your body and mind slip into a trance as your soul darts out from your body to dance among the trees and animals outside. You can feel whatever presence was watching your from up above turn away.

You all file inside and the mare shuts and bars the door behind you. After paying for your rooms the mare gives you the keys and ensures that you head upstairs before retiring to her own room.

"You are neither old nor infirm. If you want a meal we will have to ask that you give a tithe. That can wait for the morning, though."
Once you are inside he pulls the doors shut and disappears into one of the doors leading away from the main worship area.

Campfire 318933

Despite arriving on different days many of you were able to meet up with old friends and acquaintances. After speaking with each other you all discovered that you were summoned to this city by the same person or persons. A young goat mentioned that even more of your old friends were somewhere in the city, and after she bounced off Dreamkicker was able to use his magic to discern that they were both currently in the city's Temple District. Nightfall arrived before they could find the two missing goats though, and an innkeeper called them into her inn while warning them of the dangers of being out after sunset.

After finding and claiming several empty rooms the party retired for the night.

Everyone but Happyhorn and Olga please roll.

You spent most of yesterday exploring the rooftops of the Temple District. After discovering a large cathedral dedicated to the sun you accepted a priest's offer to stay there for the night.
I'll get you in as soon as i can, I promise.

Campfire 318991

There are tons of of bedbugs and lice in the bed, but a powerful electric shock and a few hearty shakes were enough to get rid off them before retiring for the night. The journey must have been an exhausting one, because you continue to sleep like a little foal.

Bad dreams have kept you tossing and turning all night long, stuck somewhere between sleep and consciousness. Your constant rolling has left the bedsheets tightly wrapped around your legs. Once you wake up you will need to roll to escape Helplessness.

They aren't spotless, but they are still pretty clean.

The three of you are awoken by a scraping sound coming from outside your rooms.

Bessy [Soothsayer] 318994

Does this make me a bedsheet mummy?
Will I be waking up anytime soon?
And a roll for escaping Helplessness if I do wake up soon.

The feeling of the world falling away beneath you wakes you with a start, and you just manage to stop yourself from rolling completely off the bed. Still groggy despite the small adrenaline rush you are unable to figure out that the sheets are what is keeping you from moving your legs.

You quietly open your door and poke your head out, but it is too dark for you to see anything.

You try to nudge him, but misjudge his location in the dark and fall off the bed face first. The force of your face impacting with the floor causes you to see stars.

You grab your morningstar and begin cleaning the room, completely ignoring the noise your heard.

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 319023

Do I notice Pomelo's escapades?

The sound of you hitting the floor must have woken him up. Pleased to see that he's finally awake you turn around and walk face first into the door. The fall must have left you a little dazed.

The sound of a goat impacting with the floor is enough to wake you up. You see him yell at you to wake up then walk face first into the door.

You gear up and light a candle. Looking out into the hallway you can see nothing. The doors you can see are all shut and a window curtain flutters gently.

You open your door a tiny bit and peak out into the hall. You can that Andelia's door is open, and you can also see a few ponies standing at the head of the stairs leading down into the common room. One of them silently pulls another pony through a window. When a light suddenly shines out of Andelia's room they freeze, then slink down the staircase.

Once you realize what the problem is you, the world's most flexible buffalo, are able to easily escape from the sheets binding your legs.

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 319058

"Pomelo, have you gotten into the wine cellar again?"

What's going on?

I try to gain my bearings and figure out what's going on.

Roll #1 6 = 6

Campfire 319070

Your confusion lasts for only a few seconds. You know what's going on now. After all, you've been through this before. Pomelo is obviously trying to pull some sort of prank on you in the middle off the night. You should go back to sleep.

You step out into the hallway and nearly run into Mirabelle.

You sneak down the hallway as quietly as a cat and stop just before the window. You can hear the faint sound of a pony breathing coming from the staircase, but you can also spot a shadow in the pool of moonlight coming through the open window.
+1 to your next roll against the ponies on the stairs or the one outside the window.

All you can see are Mirabelle and Andelia in the hallway.

There's some sort of commotion in the hall.

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 319075

"Pomelo, it's been a long journey. Let's just go back to sleep."

Bessy [Soothsayer] 319078

I head out there to check it out!

Roll #0 10 = 10

Mirabelle [Maid] 319087

Campfire 319095

You can see the others in the hallway.

It looks like the window is open. That's strange because you are pretty sure it was shut when you came upstairs earlier.

You follow hm out and see Pomelo, Andelia, Mirabelle, and Bessy in the hallway.

The light from the candle lets allows you to see a muddy hoofprint at the top of the staircase. It's pointing down the staircase and you are certain it wasn't there a few hours ago.

You do that.

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 319099

"So I suspect you all heard something 'scratcha scratch,' too?"

"If it will get us back to sleep sooner…"

I look around with Sight Beyond Sight. Anything moving around? Large rats or burglars?

I give her a confused look, but nod and do a zipping motion over my mouth.

Campfire 319138

The walls, even your friends, momentarily disappear as your third eye opens. On the staircase you can spot eight ponies, but only one of them is breathing. Hanging on the wall near the window on the outside of the inn is a ninth pony. Before you can warn anyone Andelia and Pomelo walk up to the the head of the staircase where they can been seen by all nine ponies.

As soon as you step into the pool of moonlight you can feel a magical grip tighten around you a split second before you are pulled out the window and onto the roof. A moment later a unicorn shows a disturbing amount of agility and climbs up after you and lunges towards you.

You walk beside her, and when your attention is drown by her suddenly flying out the window the ponies on the staircase charge! Your horns are able to keep them from dogpiling you, but one of them does manage to get a solid hit in.

Everyone make a roll in addition to whatever action you take this round.

Mirabelle [Maid] 319141

Go after Andy somehow! '1d10'

And roll 'r2 1d10'

Roll #1 10 = 10 / Roll #2 9 = 9

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 319143

"Something strange… vampires?"

Charge and hit the pony attacking Pomelo with a lightning spell.
Also that other thing
'r2 1d10'

Roll #1 9 = 9 / Roll #2 2 = 2

Pomelo [Preacher] 319144

I headbutt one of them without even thinking

Roll #1 2 = 2

Pomelo [Preacher] 319145

Also second roll '1d10'

Roll #1 2 = 2

Bessy [Soothsayer] 319147

What the-
Throw a (Pink) Smoke Shot at whatever just started attacking! '1d10+2'
And the roll 'r2 1d10'

Roll #1 8 + 2 = 10 / Roll #2 6 = 6

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 319149

Rolling to rejoin the ranks of the conscious. '1d10'

Roll #1 3 = 3

Campfire 319150

The sound of fighting in the hallway wakes you up.

The sound of several people running past you wakes you up as well.

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 319153

Roll out of the pew I was roosting in and lurch in their direction.

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 319154

Stumbling up, I'll grab my shield as I blearily come back to wakefulness.
"What's happening? Who's there?"
Once I've determined the source, and I've got my hooves under me '1d10' I'll head out into the hall.

Roll #1 10 = 10

Roll #0 7 = 7

Campfire 319159

You leap out the window and, with a telekinetic blast, throw yourself up onto the roof where you land on the back of the pony assaulting Andelia. You can see moonlight glinting off a pair of fangs poking out of his mouth.

To focused on saving Pomelo you only pay attention to aiming and casting your spell. The lightning bolt strikes on of the ponies in the side as you charge into the fight.

You blindly rush one of them, and another is able too punch you in the gut. The blow nearly knocks the wind out of you aand stops you dead in your tracks.

You are too busy trying to catch your breath to pay attention to anything else.

Your smoke canister hits one of them in the eye before exploding into a cloud of smoke. the pony that was hit cries in pain as it loses the use of an eye. Before the cloud envelops the group of ponies you can see that several of them sport two very sharp teeth.

Your door was right by the staircase. As soon as you step outside you end up tredding on a pail pony. He screams as one of his legs snap.

You keep your hoofing on the rooftop as Mirabelle suddenly rockets up into view and slams down onto your attacker.

Two ponies and a very large bird with a long neck look up at you.
"Where did you come from? Who are you?"

Bessy [Soothsayer] 319161

>forget vantage point
Also, doesn't that mean that all rolls against him get a +1?
Send a Marksman Shot his way!

Roll #1 6 + 2 = 8

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 319162

Blink up at them.

"I'm a goat! What are you?"

use earthen grasp to hold the mysterious attacker in place.

Roll #0 8 = 8

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 319165

I try to pull Pomelo out of there.

Roll #1 9 = 9

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 319167

Well, let's work on getting the party back together. Slam my way through until I'm next to Dreamkicker. '1d10+1'

Roll #1 7 + 1 = 8

Pomelo [Preacher] 319169

Flip back behind Dreamkicker and Bessy.
These ponies are such meanies. Maybe a happy song will cheer them up! '1d10'

Roll #1 3 = 3

Campfire 319179

When did vantage point become passive?
The one that lost an eye? Yes.

Your stone flies true despite the smoke and strikes his ruined eye. A wet pop is followed by a pained scream as he falls down the staircase.

The timber making up the roof bursts through the singles and wraps around the pony that pulled you out the window. He struggles uselessly to get free.

You wrap the small goat in your magic and pull him out of the melee.

You slam through their ranks like a tank made out of muscle and shaggy fur. You trample another pony underhoof before coming to a stop next to Dreamkicker.

You try to do a backflip over Dreamkicker and Bessy, but you trip and land on your back. The fall does what the punch earlier could not and leaves you Helpless.

They huddle together and speak in a language that you have come to recognize as the local dialect for a few seconds. Once that is done the bird speaks up. You are Equestrian, correct? An adventurer staying here because you couldn't afford an inn? Can you do something for us? We can pay."

That's a little better now get up close to him. "Who are you?"

Roll #0 7 = 7

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 319182

Shield-bashing '1d10+1' one of the nearby hostiles I'll question Dreamkicker.
"So, who are we fighting?

Roll #1 2 + 1 = 3

Pomelo [Preacher] 319183

Roll #1 8 = 8

Bessy [Soothsayer] 319185

No idea.
So none of the other group is affected by the smoke?

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 319186

"Yeah, that about sums it up. And I have nothing better to do here other then look at shiny things. What're you asking?"

Campfire 319191

The entire group was affected, but only one was blinded. The blinded one is dead now.

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 319195

"I'm not sure. I think one or two are undead. Perhaps vampires. Wait here while I get my crossbow."

Go get my crossbow and then come back and shoot one of our attackers.

Roll #1 2 + 1 = 3

Bessy [Soothsayer] 319197

The skill says that it can effect up to 3 targets in close proximity though, and grants a +1 to all attack rolls against them. Are you just houseruling that away or?…

Campfire 319198

No? The smoke gives you all a +1 bonus against that group for two turns. Losing an eye gave an additional +1 against the now dead pony. Vantage point gives you a +1 until you fail. If you forget to add a bonus onto your roll when you should have on there is a good chance I will forget about it.

Olga [Lifebinder] 319199

I was peacefully meditating the other time.

What's going on now?

Bessy [Soothsayer] 319201

Oh! I was under the impression that you were just counting the +1 against the blinded one because you'd not mentioned anything else. Sorry.
Keep slinging those stones!

Roll #1 5 + 2 = 7

Campfire 319205

He snaps at you as he tries to break free from his bonds, but he cannot reach you with his mouth.

The pony jumps over your shield-bash and kicks you in the face.

You stand up and brush yourself off. Falling over was all part of your plan.

One of the ponies dodges around Brutus and slams into your side. You can hear your ribs creak as he hits you.

You hit a mare in the leg with a stone. She hisses and leaps at you.

You awaken from your trance and can see moonlight filtering in trough cracks in the ceiling and through the open doorway. The temple is still dark and empty.

Roll #1 10 = 10

Campfire 319206

He breaks his wooden bonds like they were twigs and leaps at you.
Andelia, roll to doge in addition to your attack roll.

Bessy [Soothsayer] 319207

Charge back at her and toss her away!
Buffalo strength goooo!

Roll #1 8 + 1 = 9

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 319209

Lightning him in the face!

Roll #1 6 = 6

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 319210

I'll join Bessy's charge and Slam '1d10+1' to clear the hallway around the others.

Roll #1 9 + 1 = 10

Is no one around now?

Roll to sense something off

Roll #0 8 = 8

Pomelo [Preacher] 319214

Heal him! '1d10+2'

Roll #1 6 + 2 = 8

Hm, okay, earthen strike!

Roll #0 8, 4 = 12

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 319220

Campfire 319221

"There's an inn nearby where a few of our…friends our staying. Church politics kept them from staying here where they would be safe, so we set up a few wards around the inn to tell of if anything seeking to hurt them entered. We need you to run and warn them before the intruders get to them, and help them fight if they need any help, okay?"

Campfire 319235

You charge at her and send the mare flying into the wall. The whole part can hear a few of her bones snap when she hits.

He opens his mouth to bite you, but the sudden charge of electricity you hit him with makes him bite his tongue as well.

You charge through the largest group of them, most are flung to the side but one is horribly mangled as you trample him.

You can feel something approaching you a few seconds before you see a light appear in a hallway leading out of the large chamber you are in.

You focus your magic on him and heal his wounded side.

You dodge to the side, but your attack misses.
He laughs at you and begins to circle around you.

Olga [Lifebinder] 319240

"What sort of temple is this, anyway?"

Get into that hallway.

Bessy [Soothsayer] 319242

"Nobody. Messes. With. My. Friends!"
I charge at her again.

Roll #1 9 + 1 = 10

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 319245

"Really? Did those wardy-things go off last night? What do you think is after them?"

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 319247

Well, let's start bashing. '1d10+1' the nearest.

Roll #1 6 + 1 = 7

Pomelo [Preacher] 319248

Give cheap shotting one with my horns another try! '1d10'

Roll #1 10 = 10

Andelia [druid] 319250

I look around and see my friends, no.. my family in danger. "Now things are getting serious." I'll take this turn to transform into a wolf.

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 319251

Shoot him with the crossbow.

Roll #1 3 + 1 = 4

Campfire 319259

You walk int the hallway. A young zebra carrying a torch nearly jumps out of his skin as you enter the pool of light cast by his torch.
"Oh! Y-you're awake?"

You lower your head and hit her before gravity has a chance to pull her off the wall. There is a loud kersplat as her body bursts and pieces go flying everywhere.

"Know them? It could any number of things in or around this city, or maybe even something that followed them here. As long as you are quiet you will be fine, but they might not be if you don't go fast."

You bash one off them in the head with your shield. It strikes with the sound of a gong and the stallion goes stumbling away from you…

And straight into Pomelo. While the pony is distracted you lock his back legs between your horns and twist you hear until you hear a pop as his leg is dislocated. For good measure you free your horns before rearing back on your hind legs and headbutting him.

You are still on the roof. Everyone else is inside.
He looks surprised and takes a few steps back as you transform.
"What? No, you are all supposed to stay outside the city!"
+1 to your next attack.

He dodges the bolt and punches you in the nose.

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 319260

"Nice work, little goat!"
Continuing the mayhem, and setting the shield to work again. '1d10+1'

Roll #1 8 + 1 = 9

Olga [Lifebinder] 319261

"Oh? Why, yes, I am, Child. Tell me, what is this place, exactly?"

Bessy [Soothsayer] 319264

"O- Oh… w- what…"
Rolling to keep myself together and not flip that I just exploded a pone.

Roll #1 1 = 1

Oh, I see. is +1 because he's scared since power totem usually gives a +1 to attacks? Go for a leaping attack, try to pin him down if possible.

Roll #0 2 + 1 = 3

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 319266

Draw my dagger and stab at him.

Roll #1 3 = 3

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 319267

"Well, they sound like they could be in a lot of trouble. Where are they?"

Pomelo [Preacher] 319269

Oh gosh. Too much. Stand back and hum a tune to clam myself
Inspire '1d10'

A-Am I horrified at this? 'r2 1d10'

Roll #1 9 = 9 / Roll #2 8 = 8

Campfire 319279

You bash a mare that was trying to sneak up on you from behind. She spits a fang out then leaps at you.
Roll an extra d10 during your next attack.

He shuffles nervously.
"T-this is the Nature Temple. It's late and we're closed right now, so could you come back later?"

You lose your shit and start screaming. You can feel it's blood soaking into the fur on your face, back, and sides and can feel some of it's guts hanging off your horns and lying on your back. You feel several ponies jump onto your back but cannot pull yourself together as you hear them draw several blades.

It was an extra +1 because omitted for plot reasons
He turns around and bucks you as you leap at him.
"Stupid animal. They're ours, you hear me?"

He ducks around behind you and starts pummeling your back with swift blows. The pain is making it hard to stand.

"An inn nearby. I'll tell you the directions."
The large bird tells you how to get there as it leads you to the door.
"The innkeeper keeps the door locked at night. You goats are agile though, so you shouldn't have any trouble finding another way in."

Your happy little tune pierces the noise of battle coming both from this current conflict and from another part of the second floor.
All your allies feel inspired and have a +1 to their next action.

Campfire 319280

And you aren't horrified. Seeing that mare explode reminded you of the time Bessy jumped into a pool full of watermelons.

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 319281

Well, can't have that. Take advantage of her exposing her weak underbelly by Slamming her into the wall. '1d10+1'
And the extra 'r2 1d10'

Roll #1 4 + 1 = 5 / Roll #2 5 = 5

Bessy [Soothsayer] 319282

I try and run towards the nearest water.

Roll #1 3 = 3

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 319283

"Righty-o! If I can hop across your big shiny buildings, getting into an in should be no problem! I'll see your friends!"

Hop out of the temple in the direction of the inn.

I shake my head and growl at him, "these are my people, I'll protect them." Is what I am saying, not sure if he can understand that but doesn't matter. Lets try a power attack, hard bite aiming for a leg or neck.

Roll #0 10 + 1 = 11

Pomelo [Preacher] 319285

Hop up on Bessy's back and cheap shot one of them! '1d10+1'

Roll #1 8 + 1 = 9

Olga [Lifebinder] 319286

"Ah, I see. But can you tell me anything about this.. invitation?"

Show him the letter.

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 319288

"Get back!"

Storm Bolt for three hits on that guy. With the electrical stuff, obviously.

Roll #1 10 = 10

Campfire 319297

She leaped to high for you t hit her, and she lands on your back. Fortunatly your thick wool keeps her from hurting you.

You feel several daggers stab into your back. The pain combined with your mental trauma is too much and you fall down the stairs.

You quickly come to the inn. You can hear fighting coming from the second floor and see the silhouettes of figures moving around against curtains drawn across the upstairs windows. You cannot see any windows open on this side of the inn.

He is confused by your statement, and that gives you just enough time to go for his throat. Your powerful jaws clamp down on his windpipe, and with a powerful tug you rip his throat out. Not content with that you go in for a second attack and close your jaws around his neck and bite down hard. You can feel his neck snap and his body go limp.

You jump onto her back and headbutt one off before she falls. You are at the top of the stairs with a vampire pinned underneath you. He looks weakened by all the fighting.

He looks at it blankly.
"I don't know anything about that. If you come back tomorrow I can have someone else look at it. I'm only an initiate, you see."

As your lightning strikes him you swear that you can see his skeleton for a few seconds before the now crispy vampire slumps to the ground, dead.

Roll #1 3 = 3

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 319298

Right, well, I'll activate Guardian. '1d10' Don't want anyone to go out on me here.

Roll #1 9 = 9

Pomelo [Preacher] 319299

Bolster Bessy!

Olga [Lifebinder] 319300

"I… see. Well, then, I'll just have to be going. Thank you, child."

I probably need to just get back to the inn now.

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 319301

"Pommy, help Bessy!"

Shoot one of the vampires.

Roll #1 6 + 1 = 7

So he did understand.. Drag his body to the side so its not in the way. Alright, last turn as a wolf so I'll use it to track down the rest of my friends, rolling for it if you need.

Roll #0 4 = 4

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 319303

"Huh, must be some party up there."

Hop around the building. Maybe one of the other windows is open.

Campfire 319304

One of the vampires is caught completely under Bessy as she falls and suffers a fate similar to the mare who was splattered against the wall. The others only suffer broken limbs and try to unpin themselves.

Roll #1 6 = 6

Bessy [Soothsayer] 319306

I guess I try to get up?
Are the vampires doing more things with that >6?

Bessy [Soothsayer] 319307

Roll #1 5 = 5

Campfire 319308

Roll to get up. That six means they are able to unpin themselves and stand up.

Campfire 319309

You take up a defensive stance to protect the others.
Bessy and Andelia are currently out of your reach and so are not protected.

You do that.

The path taking you out of the forest is much straighter than the one that lead you to the temple. When you get back to the inn you can hear the sounds of fighting coming from the second floor.

You know exactly where your friends are. Looking down at the open window you just aren't sure how you will get back in. On the ground you can see a goat hop into view.

You spot the open window at the back of the inn easily, as well as a-wait, is that a wolf on the roof?

You get back to your hooves, but aren't feeling to good right now.

The vampires are able to stand up. They all look heavily wounded.

There is one vampire remaining upstairs.

Olga [Lifebinder] 319311

"…fighting? Here?"

Ready my staff and go up.

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 319313

Slam the vampire down the stairs, in order to get Bessy in range of my protection. '1d10+1'

Roll #1 1 + 1 = 2

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 319314

Pomelo [Preacher] 319315

"You alright buddy?!"
Heal Bessy! '1d10+2'

Roll #1 1 + 2 = 3

Pomelo [Preacher] 319316

Roll #1 9 + 2 = 11

Ah-hah! Now all I have to do is-ooh, a dog!

No, I'm supposed to find those people!

But it's a dog! A big, fuzzy dog!

Roll #0 1 = 1

I must stay focused! I'm getting paid for this after all.

Hop up to the window.

Roll #0 7 + 1 = 8

Campfire 319321

Your bolt catches the last vampire upstairs in the neck. He stumbles, but is still able to…

Dodge your charge and kick your leg, causing you to lose your balance and fall own the stairs.

Your piriapt glows red and you can feel certain disaster turn into an unbelievable success. Bessy is completely healed.

You try the door, but find it locked.

Bessy [Soothsayer] 319323

"W- Wait! Other buffalo person!"
I try to grab him before he falls.

Roll #1 7 = 7

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 319324

Oh bother. '1d10'

Roll #1 7 = 7

Well, alright, three turns are up so I'm a pony now, check over the dead body for anything good, and look for the lowest part of the roof.

Roll #0 2 = 2

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 319326

Campfire 319327

You quickly focus and jump up a few stacked boxes and through the window. Inside you can see a whole lot of blood, bodyparts, and a few familiar faces. Looks like Dreamkicker and Pomelo are up here.

And Andelia's a pony again.

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 319329

"I might need some help, too, Pommy."

Keep shooting.

Roll #1 5 + 1 = 6

Pomelo [Preacher] 319331

Ohh I wanna grab too! '1d10'

Roll #1 5 = 5

I look at you strange and make my way down to you. "Hey there."

Roll #0 7 = 7

Damn it.

Look for another way up!

Roll #0 5 = 5

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 319340

"Is that-it is!"
Bounce over to them.

"It's the happy couple! How's married life treating you two! Do you have your own house with cutlery? Also, who exploded?"

Campfire 319341

Bessy catches you as you fall, saving you from hurting yourself, but also saving the vampires form possibly getting crushed.

The pony had nothing on him at all. There is no low part of the roof, either. It slopes down at the front and back of the building, but each direction leads to a two story drop.

You think better of trying to grab a giant buffalo who is currently falling and grab the vampire instead.

While Pomelo holds it steady you are able to put a bolt through the vampire's eye. It twitches a few times before dying.

You hear some commotion around back. When you get there you can see an open window and a pony on the roof.

No easy way down then? "Say, ..Happyhorn? Is that you? Can you toss me a rope or something?" Can I just sump down?

Roll #0 2 = 2

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 319347

"Thanks! What say we clean up down here and then help your friends upstairs?"
I'll bash any vampire that's still mobile down here. '1d10+1'

Roll #1 9 + 1 = 10

Roll #0 10 = 10

Pomelo [Preacher] 319352

Is that all of them?
If so, check one of them out to see if they had anything on them. If not, attack one '1d10'

Roll #1 4 = 4

Bessy [Soothsayer] 319354

"You could've gotten hu-"
I plop down on the floor and try to collect myself.

Roll #1 8 = 8

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 319356

"Happyhorn? Not very surprising to see you here."

"Are you hurt?"

Pomelo [Preacher] 319358

I pat Bessy on the back and give her a hug
"Bessy buddy, what's wrong?"

Campfire 319360

You bash one in the face with your shield. The force of the blow causes his skull to cave in. the last two go running for the door as fast as they can.

There are still a few downstairs. The stairs are slick with blood so you spend your turn carefully making your way dowwn.

You are able to pull yourself back together. They were trying to kill you and your friends, after all. Better that they died before they could really hurt your friends.

Roll #1 2 = 2

Campfire 319361

They are having trouble with the locked door.

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 319362

Well, let's help them out, then! Slam them through '1d10+1'

Roll #1 4 + 1 = 5

Roll #0 9 = 9

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 319364

"Well I was invited to the party after all. I was supposed to tell you that something was coming for you, but…"

"What did I miss anyway?"

Can I get off this roof now, or should I invest in a fiddle?

Roll #0 3 = 3

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 319368

Take aim with my crossbow and try to hit one of the vampires trying to escape.

Roll #1 7 + 1 = 8

Bessy [Soothsayer] 319370

I hug Pomelo back.
"I… I hurt some ponies…"
"…Who were trying to hurt my friends. M- Maybe… maybe it wasn't such a bad thing."
I get back up and try to find where the remaining vampires went.

Roll #1 6 = 6

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 319373

"Bessy? You're here too? What's going on, anyway?"

Pomelo [Preacher] 319375

"M-Me too buddy. I'm sorry but… we did what we had to to protect each other!"

"Hey Happyhorn! Hiya! How've you be-"

Right. Cheap shot one! '1d10'

Roll #1 7 = 7

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 319376

"Well they're trying to escape. No doubt to inform their infernal masters about us. I suggest we stop them."

Campfire 319377

They jump out of the way at the last second and yoou slam into the door. Instead of flying off it's hinges the sturdy thing stops you in your tracks.

You can see a pony on the roof. Do you know her from somewhere?

You can't get off, but you can see an old goat in the alley behind the inn.

They are over there, by the door.

You hit one of them in the neck. He looks at you, then Brutus, then tries to jump through a window.

The two of you, being the only ones on the second floor, can hear several ponies running down a hallway connected to the one you are all currently in.

Roll #1 7 = 7

Brutus [Male Buffalo Knight] 319380

Well, only one left. Attempt to behead him with the edge of the shield. '1d10+1'

Roll #1 6 + 1 = 7

An old goat? Does he sell fiddles? Get a closer look.

Roll #0 9 = 9

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 319383

"Oh, right. Just like old times."

"Whozat? More vampires? Or scardey-guests?"

Bessy [Soothsayer] 319386

"Oh hey Happyhorn! We got called here by the twi-"
"Hey! You bad ponies! Stop right there!"
Try to knock their legs out with a well placed stone (Marksman Shot)!

Roll #1 6 + 1 = 7

Pomelo [Preacher] 319391

Could I just use this roll? >>319375

Campfire 319398

He jumps out the window and disappears into the night.

Nope, in fact, that looks like Olga!
You also wonder if you could use Earthen Grasp to create a wooden ladder and climb down to the window.

The three of you gang up and the last vampire before he can get out the window. Bessy knocks it down with her shot, Pomelo holds it still, and Brutus crushes its skull.

Two donkeys, a few ponies, a diamond dog, and a buffalo round the corner. Each of them are heavily armed and armored.
They take a moment to observe the carnage, then the donkeys step forwards. One of the speaks.
"In the name of the Inquisition I command you to throw down your weapons!"

Dreamkicker (Omniseer) 319401

Storm bolt one of them. Three hits.

Roll #1 10 = 10

Happyhorn [Dark Hunter] 319403

"Is that who sent me the card? Huh."

"Inquhwhosit? Are you friends with those guys in the temple?"

Campfire 319407
