Last time on Crypt Quest Andelia got replaced by her evil reflection and the party gained entrance to a large, circular chamber. After a bit of looking around and investigation Andelia was freed from the mirror and her reflection was banished. Once the entire party had entered the circular room the door disappeared into the stone and a mysterious voice spoke to the party before four skeletons were teleported into the room with them.

The party faces four skeletons. Every bone of each skeleton is covered in bronze and their joints are held together with wire. Each one is armed with an axe and an ornate shield. One skeleton is missing a leg and using its shield as a crutch. Please resume where you left off last time.

I try to heal Andelia

Rolled 8 + 2 = 10

Smash the same skeleton with my monringstar again!

Rolled 1 = 1

I use roots on the zombies to slow them down.

Rolled 6 = 6

Shoot one!

Rolled 2 = 2

I slam into the nearest skeleton
"Die you bucket of bones!"

Rolled 9 = 9

I fire a carefully placed crossbow bolt at a skull.

Rolled 9 + 1 = 10

You focus your healing powers on Anelia and completely heal her bruised face and loose teeth.

The skeleton deflects your swing with its shield and leaves you open. Before you can do anything it brings the flat end of its axe up under your jaw. The force of the blow flips you over and you land on your back, Helpless.

Thin tendrils shoot up from the cracks between the heavy floor tiles and wrap around a skeleton's back legs. It can still attack and defend, but cannot move.

Your arrow deflects harmlessly off its shield. It's axe does not deflect harmlessly off of you, but your leather armor softens the blow a little.

The bronzed skeleton is heavy, but you in your armor are heavier. You slam into the three legged one and send it flying.

Your bolt pierces the skull of a nearby skeleton. The force of it pushes the skull back, but the wires mitigate the damage.

"Mirabee!" I use Bear bash on the Skeleton nearest her.

Rolled 8 = 8

Fire a bolt at Andelia's skeleton's skull

Rolled 6 + 1 = 7

I rush toward the skeleton that Andelia rooted to Slam It

Rolled 4 = 4

Aaaah! Bounce back and shoot it again!

Rolled 10 = 10

"Miss pretty mare!"
I rush to Mirabelle and try to help her up

Rolled 1 = 1

"Aaaah zut!"

Try to get back up on my hooves

Rolled 9 = 9

Before the skeleton has a chance to attack her again you rear up and strike at the skeleton with your forehooves. The skeleton, rattled slightly backs off a few steps.

You fire a bolt at the rooted skeleton and dent its metal skull.

The skeleton uses its shield to deflect your charge. The weight of you pushing against it is enough to break the roots holding it down.

You jump backwards onto a table and put a bolt into its skull, making it look like a unicorn.

The skeleton that Andelia hit was pushed into your path. It smacks you aside with its shield and sends you rolling across the ground. You are too dizzy to stand up.

After using your tongue to make sure all your teeth are still in place you roll over and stand back up.

Lightning bolt at its metal skull, then.

Rolled 3 = 3

rerolling the spell

Rolled 9 = 9

I try to stand up

Rolled 1 = 1

I slam the same skeleton again

Rolled 7 = 7

"Don't vorry I'm fine! Let me help you petit chèvre!"

Try and help Pomelo up or make sure nothing attacks him

Rolled 6 = 6

"Are we making a dent?" I help pomelo up. "Shake it off Pommy!"

Rolled 7 = 7

Another shot! Cursed arrow!

Rolled 9 = 9

Your lightning bolt causes the metal encasing its skull to glow for a few seconds before it starts dripping down. When the metal cools bits of white skull are exposed.

You bump a table trying to stand up and bring several things down on top of you, including a large number of books, a stone cutting board, and a jagged knife. Before they can strike you…

Both of you pull him to safety and help him back to his hooves.

You turn around and slam back into the skeleton, denting its shield and forcing it back a few feet.

Your arrow denigrates as soon as it touches the skeleton.
"What is this? You have spirit, little necromancer, but you are out of your league."

"Good job Dreamkicker~!" I use bear bash on the skeleton that has the melted armor.

Rolled 4 = 4

"Thanks Andy and Miss pretty mare"

I heal Happyhorn

Rolled 7 + 2 = 9

Shoot at the exposed bits.

Rolled 5 + 1 = 6

"Your serviteurs are notzing but small specks of dust I need to clean!"

Smash one of them!

Rolled 1 = 1

I slam the skeleton with melted armor

Rolled 8 = 8

"Dark spirits! Give us salvation, blessed one!"

Scorching ray on one zombie, slow on another

Rolled 2 = 2

rolling for the other ray

Rolled 8 = 8

"Wh-what? Who's there?"

I continue to shoot.

Rolled 6 = 6

The metallic skeleton grazes your flesh with its axe before you can rear up.

The cut where the axe hit him seals shut, but some light bruising remains.

You take aim and fire at an exposed patch of skull. Your bolt bounces off, but leaves a large crack in the skull.

The skeleton knocks your morningstar aside with its axe and headbutts you. The force of the impact causes you vision to go blurry for a few seconds, and when it returns to normal you are Helpless.

Your beholder fires a ray that fails to even warm the skeleton it was aiming at, but the other ray hits the skeleton with three legs and causes it to fall out of synch with time. +1 to all rolls against that skeleton this turn.

The voice remains silent and your bolt pierces the shield of a skeleton.

Shoot at the beholder's skeleton

Rolled 5 + 2 = 7

"Blessed spirit, defending the living…"

Shoot a necrotic ray at the slowed skeleton, fire exhaustion and sleep on two other separate ones.

Rolled 10, 10, 8 = 28

"Hey! That's rude, ignoring someone talking to you!"

I attack the slowed skeleton.

Rolled 5 + 1 = 6

Let out a yelp in pain and rub my poor nose for a moment, then try to get up again

Rolled 5 = 5

The weight of your armor slamming against the skeleton crumples its shield like paper and causes it to drop its axe.

I try to help Mirabelle up

Rolled 5 + 2 = 7

ignore the +2

"Back demon!" I try bear bash again.

Rolled 1 = 1

You need another roll for Sleep.

H-h-here I go

Rolled 7 = 7

Grabs the dropped axe

Rolled 3 = 3

Your bolt puts a dent into one of the skeletons shoulders in slow motion.

Your bolt scrapes some of the bronze off of a bone.
I will speak to each of you when your vermin bodies lie broken and unmoving.

You lift your hoof and wipe some blood from your nose just in time to avoid an axe blow. You are still down, but at least your hoof is still attached.

Before it can chop at her again you pull her away and help her stand.

You rear back too far and fall over backwards. Luckily a blue beam from Olga's minion strikes the skeleton and renders it motionless before it can attack you.

You pick up the axe. It is well made and the blade is unmarred by chips or rust.

A beam of fire strikes one of the skeletons, causing the bronze encasing its bones to glow before melting and forming a molten puddle beneath it. The wire holding its joints together fared better, but it has also taken some damage. Rays design to exhaust and knock out targets hit two other skeletons. One skeleton stops moving as its energy is temporarily sapped and the other, being undead and therefor not requiring sleep, is unaffected.

The final ray, a beam of loathsome, black energy, strikes the temporally troubled skeleton. In slow motion a dark corona forms around the skeleton as its bones begin to twist. Slowly the bones lengthen and split; forming new shapes even as the bronze runs along its bones. The skeleton grows taller and its bones become thicker and denser. Claws sprout from its hooves and its mouth fills with fangs. Two large, scythe shaped talons sprout from its back and the flowing bronze runs upwards and coats them, forming a razor sharp edge. As the time around this fresh horror returns to normal its changes finish and it stops growing as it reaches roughly the same size as Celestia.

"Curses! The dark spirit feeds off our energy! Blessed spirit, defend us who live…."

Focus scorching ray and slow on the thing I have just created.

Rolled 2, 8 = 10

"Pomelo, try to heal the skeletons!"
zap that big thing

Rolled 4 = 4

rerolling that

Rolled 2 = 2

Takes my newly acquired axe and swings it at the giant skeleton

Rolled 5 = 5

"Merci beaucoup mon petit chèvre!"

Give him a quick peck on the cheek, then turn my attention to the dire skeleton

"Zis does not look good at all! No more necromancy s'il vous plaît, madame Olga!"

Pick up my Morningstar and smash it with all the power I can muster

Rolled 9 = 9

"W-what is that thing?! What did you do?"
"Dreamy.. heal them? You sure?"
Heal the big one

Rolled 6 + 2 = 8

"Why did you do that?! Now we have to kill a big nasty flying skeleton!"

I shoot more arrows at the skeleton.

"And you, you need to chill out, voice. I can't imagine I'm less interesting to talk to then your skeleton buddies."

Rolled 2 = 2

"What have you done!!" I use natural remedy on Mirabelle. "You seem hurt."

Rolled 7 + 2 = 9

"Yes! They're undead. They're animated by negative energy. Positive energy will harm them, just as surely as it heals us."

"Olga! Why'd you do that! Now we gotta fight that big creepy skeleton!"
Crippling shot on it!

Rolled 7 + 2 = 9

"Apologies, a moment of foolishness! Yet, if this is any indicator.. someone try healing it! I will…"

Cast necrotic ray on Happyhorn's spider.

Rolled 6 = 6

A few seconds after the skeleton's transformation finishes the voice begins laughing a hateful, scoring laugh.

Before you can fire your bolt of electricity the skeleton that was stopped by Olga's minion begins moving and crashes into you, knocking you off your hooves.

Your swing knocks small chunks of bone off of some of its ribs, but doesn't do any real damage.

You hit it in the same spot that Korrin did and manage to crack a few ribs.

The pink glow that surrounds the monstrous skeleton is quickly snuffed out by the vile darkness surrounding it. The voice stops laughing laughing long enough to speak.
That was clever, I must admit, but this new creature is blessed by lord Grogar. You will need more strength if you wish to harm it that way; strength I do not believe something as vile as you possesses.

Your arrows bounce off its thick bones. While you are distracted one of the regular skeletons comes up behind you and slices at you with his axe. The blow lands in the same spot that the previous one did and bites into your flesh. The force of the the attack and the pain cause you to collapse and become Helpless.

You pour a foul smelling liquid across her back that is quickly absorbed by her skin. A few seconds later her bruises and cuts vanish.

Your stone flies true and hits one of its bronze talons, snapping off the top few inches of it.

The fiery ray once again fails to manifest, but the yellow ray strikes it and slows down the time around it. +1 to attacks against it next round.

Your beholder fires another black beam, but it aims this one at Happyhorn's spider. The things convulses as it swells to twice the size of a pony and all the damage done to it is replaced by new, but dead, flesh. A few drops of acidic venom drip from its fangs. As these things happen the voice stops laughing.

Shake it off, get back up.

"Fine, Pommy, just heal the smaller ones, then!"

Using my learnings, what would happen if I, say, released Olga's resurrect spell on the giant beast?

Rolled 7 = 7

Scorching ray on it, and see if a dispel ray can remove its defenses.

Rolled 4, 3 = 7

Swings at its legs

Rolled 5 = 5

Marksman shot on the giant skeleton! Take it's head off!

Rolled 8 = 8

I shake a little
"Whatever you say Dreamy!"
I heal one of the skeletons that isn't a transformed monstrosity

Rolled 2 + 2 = 4

right, rolling for the learnings

Rolled 7 = 7

Heal Happyhorn!

Rolled 7 = 7

"These things are pure evil magic.." I cast roots on the large one.

Rolled 10 = 10

Im going to wait for the next action.

Rolling to get up with the help of my spider!

Rolled 9 + 2 = 11

You stand back up.
If what the voice said was true, and you have no reason to believe it isn't, and the giant skeleton is blessed by Grogar, then one of several things could happen. The resurrect spell could overpower his infernal protection, it could be nullified by his power, or it could be twisted around and kill you.
DC1 to not be killed instantly, DC9 to kill it instantly by using ressurect.

It's dark aura surrounds it like a shield and absorbs both rays easily.

It kicks you away before you can attack it. Your thick armor keeps you from being hurt or knocked over, and instead you just slide backwards until you hit a table.

Your stone hits it in the mouth. While it does not take the monsters head off, it does knock out most of its fangs.

You trust your faith to protect you from an advancing skeleton, but before you can try to turn your faith against it the skeleton swipes at you with an axe, but you are lucky and get away with a simple cut.

You bandage his cut.

A few of the floor tiles split in half as thick roots climb and twist 'round the large skeleton. They constrict and hold it in place, but it wastes no time before trying to cut them away with its talons. It is immobile for two turns and cannot counter attack.

Once Mirabelle finishes bandaging you a string of web hits you on the back. Your spider pulls the sticky strand and you go flying up into the air before coming down on its back. You have a good firing position from up here, but you might slip and fall off.

"Is that how it is, how do you like me now?"
Charges at it full speed to ram it

Rolled 9 = 9

Tiger stance one of them.

Rolled 1 + 2 = 3

"Now back to ze cleaning!"

Smash the big guy again!

Rolled 1 = 1

Crossbow at the big guy

Rolled 2 + 1 = 3

Load a few more stones and let 'em lose at its head! Marksman Shot!

Rolled 2 = 2

"Nature has blessed this day." I use bear bash on the large one or anything in my way.

Rolled 9 = 9

I snarl as much as a goat who rolled a 10 to be cute can snarl then heal another one of the smaller ones

Rolled 4 + 2 = 6

I laugh triumphantly and pat my pet.

"Atta boy! Let's get'em!"

I have it charge the closest skeleton!

Rolled 7 = 7

Burn and slow ray on it.

Rolled 3, 6 = 9

You lower your head and charge like an angry ram. The roots hold it in place as you smash into it and several of the bones it its leg crack.

The bronze skeleton blocks your punches with its shield then cracks you across the head with it. You are now Helpless.

You smash one of the large roots holding it down as hard as you can and turn it into wood fiber and pulp.

None of your missiles penetrate the black cloud surrounding it and instead vanish.

Your rear up and bring your hooves down on its cracked ribs. They break off and the skeleton's dark aura trembles.

The skeleton's movements become jerky as a pink glow engulfs it. It starts advancing towards you once the glow glow vanishes, but some white powder falls from inside its dark eye sockets.

The spider charges Pomelo's skeleton and tries to bite it. The skeleton has no flesh for the fangs to find purchase in, but the acid dripping from them dissolves some of its protective metal. Some white powder pours out of the new holes.

The eye it keeps trying to fire heat beams must be damaged, but a yellow ray strikes the beast as it frees itself with Mirabelle's hopefully unintentional help. +1 to all rolls against it this turn.

Zap the big one.

Rolled 7 = 7

Try to get up.

Rolled 7 + 2 = 9

"No, don't smash ze roots! Smash ze squelette!"

Try smashing it again!

Rolled 2 = 2

"Hey! What gives? They just disappeared!"
Let's try that again. Load up a couple'a stones and let loose a volley at the big skeleton! Marksman Shot!

Rolled 7 = 7

"Someone get ready to catch me if this works!"
Prayer of healing on them (if I can)

Rolled 6 = 6

"All, keep striking it down! I will attempt to send away the vile spirit I have wrought… "

Beholder focuses slow and fire rays, while I take out my exorcism talisman and cast ressurect on the skeleton.

Rolled 9, 1, 4 = 14

Smash the leg again with my head

Rolled 2 = 2

"Yeah, keep at it!"

I have the spider grapple it while I use Point Blank Shot on its…holes.

Rolled 2, 7 = 9

I use bear bash again, aiming for the holes on the big guy.

Rolled 4 = 4

Your spell has not effect on the skeleton, but the heat of the lightning does cause the metal coating its talons to melt slightly and lose a bit of their edge.

You get back up and take a few steps back from the skeleton.

You hit a particularity hard spot of bone. The skeleton notices you hitting it and swipes at you with a clawed hoof, drawing red lines across your back and side.

Your stones make it through this time. They hit its head and crack its jaw, knocking out the remaining fangs.

This was never meant to be an offensive spell, but that doesn't stop you from trying. The three regular skeletons convulse as pink light surrounds them and more powder pours from the damaged one, but all three remain standing. The large one is unaffected. The prayer takes a lot out of you and you collapse Helplessly.

The skeleton is hit by another yellow beam, but one of your beholder's eye stalks catches fire. The fire goes out on its own, but reduces the number of operating eye stalks to 5. You take out your talisman and focus your power through it, but come up against a power that makes your skin crawl. The large skeleton turns its gaze and looks at you, though you. Your power fails and you fall to the ground, Helpless. +1 to all rolls against it this turn.

It kicks you away before you can attack it again, and you hit a wall this time. You stay standing despite the pain.

The skeleton hacks off one of one of your spider's legs halfway up, but your arrow punches all the way through one of its bronzed bones and some more dust falls out.

The severed half of the spider legs falls on you, and some of its blood leaks onto your exposed skin; stinging and burning.

Try to get back up

Rolled 4 = 4

Run over and help my buddy Pommy up!

Rolled 8 = 8

Tiger stance the skeleton.

Rolled 4 + 2 = 6

"Such evil power… much like the old tales of Grogar the Defiler…"
Get back up, while my Beholder maintains the slow ray.

Rolled 8, 1 = 9

"Zut! Je vais abattre toi pour ça!"

Divine Wrath!

Rolled 8 = 8

"ow, that one hurt"
Rams toward the same leg again hoping to cripple it

Rolled 4 = 4

"Ow!" I throw the leg aside and use Natural Remedy on the most hurt looking person.

Rolled 4 + 2 = 6

"Hey! He needs that!"

I direct my spider to back off and start webbing up the skeleton.

Rolled 6 = 6

Crossbow at the weakened large weakened skeleton

Rolled 2 + 1 = 3

You try to get up as the skeleton, sounding as if it were full of stand draws closer. It raises its axe, but before it can bring it down two things happen.

You pull Pomelo away from the skeleton and help him back to his hooves.

And you strike the skeleton twice, breaking the now hollow tubes of bronze and watching as white powder pours out. The metal skeleton falls down, held together only by its wires.

You stand up and watch in horror as something goes wrong with your beholder's slow ray. The yellow beam strikes the massive skeleton, but instead of stopping the skeleton seems to cross the room and slice at your beholder in the blink of an eye. When time returns to normal your beholder as several holes in it, and only three eye stalks.

Moonlight surrounds your body and pushes back the dark aura around the skeleton. When the moonlight fades the darkness returns, but not as strong as before.

Ramming the same leg would require running under it, but Discordians do unexpected things and you figure that this is stupid enough to work. Long story short: It isn't and you get kicked across the room again. At least your armor takes the blow for you.

Ignoring the acid on your back you toss the leg away and run over to Mirabelle. Opening a small jar you scoop out a greenish paste and spread it over her cuts, causing the pain from them to fade.

Your spider turns and fires some web at the large skeleton. It's dark aura dissolves some, but the rest stick to it and hang off without impeding its movement.

The skeleton that was disarmed by Korrin bucks you in the side while you are trying to aim at the large skeleton.

Cure the acid on Andelia's back

Rolled 6 = 6

Shoot the disarmed skeleton

Rolled 6 + 1 = 7

Use tiger stance again.

Rolled 9 + 2 = 11

I swing very angrily at the large beast with my axe

Rolled 10 = 10

"No! This vile wraith will not overcome us! Not I, Olga, medium of goat tower! Great spirits, I called upon you! Banish this spawn of evil! "

Fire and slow rays while I mutter a cleansing mantra and cast ressurect on the skeleton again.

Rolled 8, 9, 2 = 19

"Oh Andelia, don't vorry about me!"

Smash the big skelington

Rolled 6 = 6

Throw more stones at the giant skeleton! Marksman Shot!

Rolled 10 = 10

"everyone okay now?" I use roots on the large monster.

Rolled 6 = 6

"thanks pommy."
"Someone has to worry about you while you're seeing to cleaning up this place."

Focusing on the black goop on her back your let your power flow into it. The black stuff quickly becomes inert.

Not being trained in how to use long ranged weapons at close range, your shot misses. You are able to dodge its attack though.

You fly over to the other armed skeleton and deliver a series of blows, destroying it's shield and breaking many of its bones through the metal that protects them. It is still standing, but only by virtue of the metal and wires.

You maneuver around the skeleton this time and chop its leg like a lumberjack chops a tree. There is a loud crack and you take the bottom two-thirds of its leg off. The darkness shrouding it trembles and shrinks.

Unphased by the sudden assault your minion fires a red and yellow ray point blank at the monstrous skeleton. The beam of fire chars the skeleton's backbone and the yellow ray slows it once again. +1 against all rolls against the skeleton this turn. You shakily murmur words meant to cleanse you, but when you try to use your powers on the skeleton a fell voice whispers in your head. The shock of the intrusion knocks you Helpless.

You strike one of its rear legs and cause a small fracture to form.

Your stones hit it on its cracked jaw and take the entire thing off. All that is left of its face are two empty, dark eyes. The shadow surrounding it flickers every now and then.

Thin roots snake up from the floor and tie around the large skeleton. It cannot attack this round as it is busy cutting itself free.

Rolled 10 + 2 = 12

Finish it!

Bring down my morningstar with all the power I can muster!

Rolled 9 = 9

Prayer of healing on the party

Rolled 2 = 2

How horrifying… what could such depravity even herald?

Beholder keeps burning and slowing while I try to get up.

Rolled 2, 1, 2 = 5

Use bear bash on the nearest enemy.

Rolled 1 = 1

Melt the wires with lightning

Rolled 10 = 10

Finish it off with another Marksman Shot!

Rolled 7 = 7

"HA HA!"
I quickly go for another leg, ramming as fast as I can

Rolled 9 = 9

You unleash a flurry of blows on the skeleton faster than eyes can track. The thing deforms under your vicious attack. When your last punch lands the skeleton goes flying into the other bronzed skeleton. They both explode.

You strike its rear leg again and widen the crack. A few bits of bone fall off.

The smell of a fresh grave fills your nose and takes the strength from your body. You collapse like a marionette with it strings cut.

Your beholder tries to aim its fiery beam around the roots holding it in place, but ends up missing because of it. The yellow beam misfires and the tendril it fires from is erased from time. The sight of your minion failing discourages you and keeps you from getting up.

You rear up and fall over again. Maybe the lack of a tail is throwing off your balance.

The skeleton your were fighting is no more, so you zap the bronze talons instead. The metal melts like butter, but the bone talons are still sharp enough to cut away the last of the roots.

Your stone breaks apart the rest of its head. The skeleton sways back and forth, but instead of falling apart some of the darkness surrounding it is drawn off and assumes the shape of a head.

You ram the leg that Mirabelle was working at and snap it off.

The darkness shrouding the massive skeleton is now just a faint shadow.

I cough and hack while I try to get back up

Rolled 6 = 6

Attack the darkness with my crossbow.

That is, attack the massive thing.

Rolled 9 + 1 = 10

"Almost.. We cannot fail now.. "
Get up again, and fire flame ray again.

Rolled 5, 4 = 9

Use nature remedy on Pomelo.

Rolled 4 = 4

Help pomelo up. "Pommy, what happened?"

Rolled 2 = 2

You're still down

Help her up

"Vite, vite! Ve must get on with ze battle!"

Rolled 9 = 9

Helps Pomelo up
"hey, get up, you need to be in this"

Rolled 8 = 8

You manage to get rid of the deathly smell and stand back up.

Your bolt strikes a fire-weakened vertebrae and pulverizes it. The back half of the skeleton falls away. Some of the darkness fades away, but the rest collects around the front half.

You get up, but the darkness that has gathered around a smaller area absorbed the ray of flame.

You pour some water on him.

You are still on the ground.

The two of you help Pomelo stand up.

"Hey! That's not fair!"
Throw stones at the darkness!

Rolled 10 = 10

I helped Andelia up, not Pomelo

Heal on Andelia

Rolled 2 = 2

I shake it off and try to heal Dreamy~

Rolled 6 + 2 = 8

Woops. Andelia's back up.

"Pommy, try healing it again!"
Rushes at it with my head

Rolled 9 = 9

I use natural remedy on myself. "We've almost got it!"

Rolled 6 = 6

I attack the gigantor again.

"I'm hardly hurt, Pomelo. Help someone else!"

Rolled 2 + 1 = 3

+2 on that roll for cutie mark please.

Forget the flames, keep the slow ray up.

Rolled 9 = 9

Your stones glow pink and tear off chunks of darkness as they pass through it.

You wash off the burns on her back with some water before bandaging them.

You place a hoof against his wounded side and let your healing energy flow into it. The bruise that was forming there disappears.

You hit it in the chest and hear some bones crack.

You drink a fortifying draught and shiver as the pain leaves your body.

No sooner are the words out of your mouth than one of its bone talons slices you from your ear down to your hoof. The slice isn't even an inch deep, but it burns like fire.

The yellow beam hits it once again and it slows down. +1 to all rolls against it next turn.

The voice speaks again.
What? How? This isn't possible! Not again!

"Aagh! Pommy!"
Gather my strength and zap the fucker

Rolled 2 + 1 = 3

Rolled 10 + 1 = 11

Heal against the big one

Rolled 6 + 3 = 9

Swings my axe at it, Shouting loudly

Rolled 3 = 3

"Your evil beast isn't as strong as you thought!" use bear bash to help finish on the dying monstrosity.

Rolled 3 + 1 = 4

Divine wrath!

Rolled 7 + 1 = 8

I form a cleansing symbol with my talisman and shout to the voice.
"Identity your Form and Reason , foul One! "

Keep the slow ray up, and fire flame as well.

Rolled 5, 6, 7 = 18

"Thanks Pink One!"
Continue slinging stones at him. Darkness ain't no match for the power of laughter!

Rolled 6 = 6

Your lightning bolt fractures the skeleton's bones as lightning arcs between it and the pool of copper beneath it.

The darkness takes on a shade of pink and grows even fainter.

A talon lashes out at each of you. Korrin's armor protects him from the attack, but Andelia receives a cut that stretches from where her mane would start all the way down to where her tail would start.

Pure moonlight shines from your body and banishes all of the darkness except the black skull.

It does not respond to your challenge, but the yellow and red beams that strike its face cause it to collapse.

As the last of the darkness disappears your stones break apart its talons and neck.

No! Impossible! How? HOW?

Previously in Crypt quest the party fought with four skeletons, each one with bronzed bones and wired joints. After a few minutes of fighting the party learned what happens when you pump something reanimated by necromancy full of even more necromantic energy. Despite the mishap the party emerged victorious.

The party stands in the center of a dark, circular room. The room is large enough that the walls are shrouded in darkness. All around them lie the scattered contents of tables and various bones. The voice that spoke to them during the fight speaks again.

I see now. This was a test from Grogar, a test I nearly failed. I will destroy you parasites myself.

Everyone roll a DC7 spot check.

Rolled 10 = 10

Rolled 4 = 4

Rolled 5 = 5

Rolled 10 = 10

Spot him with my critical eyesight trained by years of cleaning rooms and looking for dirty spots!

Rolled 3 = 3

Rolled 4 = 4

relay this information to the party should i get any

The three of you cannot see where the voice is coming from.

You don't see him, but you see lots and lots of things in need of cleaning. Some of the tables here are absolutely filthy.

The two of you can spot movement in a part of the room that looks darker that the rest of it. Looking as hard as you can each of you can see three skeletons standing in front of a large ball of inky darkness, much like what surrounded the massive skeleton.

I should have done this sooner. It would have been faster.

"More meanies?!"
I pray to Pinkie for protection

Rolled 6 = 6

Look at the darkness with see-'ems

Rolled 4 + 2 = 6

"What's the plan?"

"Show yourself so ve can fight s'il vous plaît!"

Rolling to try and persuade him to come at us alone

Rolled 1 + 2 = 3

"More evil, what's our best move?" I use natural remedy on myself, try to get rid of those wounds from last time.

Rolled 9 + 2 = 11

Pinkie doesn't say anything, but you can feel your skin tingle.

Looking through the darkness hurts, but inside the black sphere you can see a pony shaped figure.

You unleash a string of insults at him in Fancy.
That's quite a mouth you have. It needs washing out before I burn each and every one of you.
The three skeletons start walking towards you.

You mix up something and drink it without paying attention. Nothing happens for a few seconds, then your body itches all over as your coat, mane, and tail regrow.

The ball of darkness grows more solid and the party can smell magic hanging thick in the air.
Not much longer until all of you are ash. Not much longer after that until all of your friends are ash too.

"Get away from Miss pretty mare!"
Strike one of the skeletons with my staff

Rolled 5 = 5

Crossbow bolt at the nearest skeleton's head.

Rolled 8 + 1 = 9

Divine Wrath!

Rolled 1 = 1

Charges at a skeleton walking toward Mira to slam it

Rolled 9 = 9

I charge at a skeleton, "Ha, now I have my balance back." used Bear Bash.

Rolled 6 = 6

A black tendril lashes out from the sphere, causing you to jump to the side to avoid it. You don't get hit, but you bump against a table's sharp corner and bruise yourself.

The bolt hits the skeleton in the head with enough force to spin its skull around backwards. +1 to all attack against this skeleton.

You close your eyes and try to picture you beloved moon, but all you can see is an expanse of stars and the night sky. Cruel, mocking, regal laughter fills your head and you collapse Helplessly, having somehow been touched by your goddess's anathema.

You charge into a skeleton and scatter its bones across the room. The ones that hit the black sphere vanish instantly.

You rear up and bring your weight down on the third skeleton, snapping off a few bones.

The smell of magic in the air grows stronger and the dark sphere begins to pulse.
Soon, so soon now. This is all your fault, too. If you had followed the agreement you would have never galvanized me into action.

"What agreement are you talking about you creepy round jerk?!"
Pray on a skeleton

Rolled 7 + 2 = 9

"Hey, I didn't sign anything this time!"

Arrows into the sphere.

Rolled 9 = 9

Clutch my head and try to calm down. Then try to get up again.

Rolled 10 = 10

"Agreement? What agreement? Talk sense, foul thing."

Crossbow at the stunned skeleton's head again.

Rolled 10 + 2 = 12

"Do any of you magically inclined folks have an idea what's going on?" Bear Bash on another skeleton.

Rolled 2 = 2

"guys the bones that go in the black sphere disappear, put them in there!"
Charges a skeleton to push it in there

Rolled 2 = 2

"I think I ate a book about this once. But it didn't have any pictures in it or anything…"

"He's obviously some sort of necromancer. I recommend shooting, stabbing, or lightning."

"Right, but does it seem like he's charging up for something? The scent of of foul magic is getting stronger and stronger. "

You murmur a prayer and water and the skeleton's joints are gummed up with silly string. +1 to all attacks against this skeleton.

Your arrows fly into the sphere. It is impossible to tell if they made it through.

You quickly run through a set of calming exercises. You clear your mind of the feeling of Nightmare Moon's touch and feel your faith burn more strongly than ever. +1 to your next Divine Wrath.

Your bolt hits the skeleton's skull and explodes it into small fragments. The bolt keeps flying, ricochets off a wall, and hits the third skeleton, taking off a silly string coated leg.

Black tendrils lash out at both of you, stealing your breath away. They make you want to sleep, to give up.

What agreement? It is far, far too late to play stupid. This is the end for you little bloodsuckers.
The coruscating ball begins pulsing faster and faster. The surface of it begins to writhe and squirm as mad laughter echoes around the room. All sound dies as a bolt of dark lightning strikes upwards from the ball to the stone ceiling.

Everyone roll.

I just got up! Merde!

Rolled 4 = 4

Rolled 2 = 2

Rolling for something.

Rolled 4 = 4

"mustn't give up…."

Rolled 1 = 1

"Bloodsuckers?! G-guys, does he think we're vampires?"

rolling to dodge

Rolled 1 = 1

"If anything he's the vampire."

Rolled 8 = 8

The two of you huddle together.

You try to run but fall into the basin in the middle of the floor.

Both of you run into each other. Pomelo goes flying while Korrin keeps going and runs into a table, getting tripped up by the wood and debris.

Your spider pulls you off its back and places you on the floor before laying down on top of you to try and act as a shield.

More bolts silently lance upwards. Each one comes soon than the last until a wildly dancing beam connects the sphere with the with the ceiling. The beam grows in width and a darkness, distinct from the one caused by a lack of light, spreads across the ceiling. As the last bit of it is covered the silence is broken by a loud crack and the ceiling seems to disappear as the room is flooded with sunlight.

Pomelo, roll to see where you land.

Rolled 1 = 1

Get up

Rolled 3 = 3

Get up and help Andelia up as well, making sure she is alright.

"Il est fou! Vhat kind of joke is zis?"

Rolled 6 = 6

Slow ray and flame ray on it! Get out my talisman and pray for a miracle.

Rolled 5, 9, 9 = 23

"It really thinks we're vampires, it's trying to kill us with sun!"
I try and get up

Rolled 4 = 4

"I-I'm not sure, this is very strange?" Get up or use bear bash on a skeleton if i'm already up.

Rolled 10 = 10

As you try to climb out of the basin…

You land on top of Dreamkicker and both of you tumble down to the bottom of the stone basin. You are both tangled up with each other and Helpless.

You help her stand back up.
Joke? You are the joke! You and all your kind!

The yellow beam is swallowed by the black sphere, but the red beam burns away some of it. Squinting reveals the outline of a pony shaped figure. Your is answered when…

A root slither out of one of the broken patches of floor and pulls you upright. Once you are standing the root disappears back into the ground.
'Think'? What do you mean 'think'?

You jump from the ground to a table, and from the table into the air. Channeling the spirit of the eternal wrestler you elbow drop the skeleton and smash it to pieces beneath you.

Wha-what is going on? Why aren't any of your bursting into flame? How have I failed?

>You land on top of Dreamkicker and both of you tumble down to the bottom of the stone basin. You are both tangled up with each other and Helpless.
Oh, oh my~

Rolled 4 = 4

"D-Dreamy! Excusemeohgoshletmejustshowmyselfout"
Awkwardly get up

Rolled 1 = 1

"Flames? Why would be burst into flames?" I approach the voice. "Who are you?"

"well obviously we're no bursting into flames so obviously not vampires, can you stop trying to kill us now?"

Rolled 8 = 8

I help pomelo up before this.

Rolled 8 = 8

"Do you believe us to be Stalkers of the Night? You are sorely mistaken. Now, identify yourself! "

Rolled 6 = 6

Hold her back and shake my head

"Ve are no vampire!"

Rolled 9 = 9

that roll was for diplomacy

Your cheeks flush and you cannot stand up.
You are still Helpless.

You get up, making the awkward situation even worse given your close proximity to Dreamkicker.
You are still Helpless.

You try to pull Pomelo out of the basin, but >>114357 stops you.

Not vampires? Why didn't you say so? Do you have any idea how hard it was to cast that spell?
The black sphere sphere shrinks and becomes translucent, revealing something in the shape of a pony behind it. The figure is wrapped in old, cloth bandages that sag and are loose in some places, revealing bare bones beneath them. It wears ancient barding that looks like it was meant as decoration rather than armor, and has a sword hanging from it. Covering its head is a funeral mask painted with a stylized unicorns face that is similar to the one in the paining in the mausoleum.
If all of you really are among the living you can be useful to me, and I can reward your usefulness. First, though, tell me why you are down here.

I actually try to get up this time ohgoshyoucandoitcomeonpomelo

Rolled 7 = 7

"I, uh…."
T-t-t-t-try to stand up~

Rolled 8 = 8

"I trust you are no dark spirit. We have been sent here to investigate disturbances in the graveyard above. Now, who are you? "

Rolled 8 = 8

Discord sent me without details of my mission

"I'm here vith mon amie, Andelia."

Point at her

Rolled 5 = 5

pretend there's quotation marks there

"Mirabee…" I look sadly at Dreamkicker and Pommy but leave them alone.

To the skeleton pony, I step forward and kneel. "If you are truly the guardian of this place, maybe you have the answers we seek. Ponies have been vanishing at an alarming rate, my search lead me here. Do you know what happened?"

Rolled 9 = 9

Both of you stand up this time, but are still at the bottom of the basin. DC3 to climb out.

Disturbances in the graveyard? Yes, he and his children have defaced some of the buildings and monuments. To answer your question, I am Trotston, Lord Trotston. I founded this town long ago with my family and a few others. I must say that I am surprised to see a necromancer goat who does not follow Grogar.

A follower of Discord? One of my dear friends in life, a minotaur, followed Discord and helped me come up with some of my favorite traps. I still speak with him every now and then.

He looks at Andelia.

Ah, they still teach ponies to respect their superiors. This is good.
He motions for you to stand, but becomes silent when you mention the disappearing ponies.
A vampire has been abducting them and bringing them back here. When he broke into my home I did not realize what he was until it was too late. The fight with him left me…weakened. He spared me on the condition that I would keep this place clean and maintained, and I was able to convince him to limit the number of his victims. He did not listen of course, and now all of you are here.

I turn red and try to climb out

Rolled 5 = 5

"You said you could reward us for our help? Could you be more specific on what kind of reward?"

Clamber out

Rolled 6 = 6

"My people consider Necromancy a holy art, and Grogar to be a demon who has corrupted it from it's true form. As you are a spirit, I bow to you. "

Prostrate myself.

"What of the vampire? It seems we must now eliminate him."

I nod slowly, my mind guessing at what horrible fate befell those poor ponies. "I see.. I'll do what I can to help you Lord Trotston, perhaps we can prevent him from doing any more damage." I raise to my feet, my mane getting in my eyes a little bit.

You climb out of the basin and, blushing like a schoolgirl, rejoin the others.

Your reward will depend upon how helpful you are. At the very least I will let each of you leave with your lives and promise a peaceful rest to any of you that die fighting the vampires.

You also climb out and rejoin the others.

It doesn't move, but it starts to laugh. The harsh, dry laughter fills the room and grows in volume until it can almost be felt. After a while the laughter dies.
Your people must not know much about necromancy, my dear, for I am no spirit. I am a devotee of Grogar and a lich; my very existence glorifies him and is proof of his power. You know little about your art, goat, but you are wise to bow.

Bones creek as he turns to look at you.
Your assistance is appreciated, young Andelia. I saw that two of have been blessed by your goddess with powers that can hurt the vampire and his spawn, but the rest of you are sorely lacking. There are…multiple ways that I can help.

"Why is a lich living beneath this town?"

"How can you help us help you mister?"

"Yeah, wouldn't you move to a castle or something by now?"

Stay in the back.

"Well show me the way and I can help"

"A lich, yet a devotee of Grogar the Defiler?"
Immediately get up and cleanse myself with my talisman.
"Then I have no business revering you, but yet if you help us remove the town's scourge, I will have no quarrel. "

I walk over to Pomelo after he climbs out and elbow him in the side, giving him a grin and suggestive eyebrows.
"Oh you sly little goat you~ Nice one!"
I then turn back to… the thingy.
"Help? How can you help us mister creepy guy?"

Rolling to not turn into a red stammering mess

Rolled 7 = 7

"I thank you for your compliments Lord Trotston. Any aid you can offer us will be appreciated. "

Rolled 1 = 1

"I bit veird zat you thought someone who knew how to use divine spells vould be a vampire…"

Rolled 10 = 10

So that I may watch over my descendants, the descendants of my friends, and the town itself.

You can help me by killing the vampire and his minions in the crypts below. If you help me repair my phylactery I can aid each of you myself. If you do not wish to do that I can put a silver edge on each of your weapons, and give silver weapons to those of you that do not have anything.

The lich laughs again.
Your ignorance is amusing. Once the vampires have been destroyed maybe I will let you remain here so that you may learn. Grogar has seen you, child, and he has taken an interest in you. This is why your life was not snuffed out when you attempt to resurrect the skeleton that you changed.

A castle is too obvious. My place here is close to the town, close to a source of emergency labor if the odd adventurers or pack of diamond dogs is not enough, and not easy to find.
He pauses.
If the nature worshipper rejects my offer, I may extend it to you. I would be…pleased to train a goat in the ways of necromancy, but only if the goat can prove itself worthy.

You blush but contain, among other things, your spaghetti.

Many things are possible. When I was just starting down the path of the necromancer I met a vampire that worshiped Celestia, of all things, and was even granted a modicum of her power.

"How would we fix your flalactory? That sounds fun"

I shrug

"I suppose. I accepte your proposition. I vill help."

"I will help you get your… thing"

"Silver weapons would be necessary."

"Do you have something pointy?"

"You want us to fix your… phlactary? How do we do that?"

"I have all these crossbow bolts, as well as this mostly-dulled dagger."

"Prove myself? What, the creepy dungeon wasn't enough of a test?"

I peek at Olga.

"A nice silver edge to my axe would be nice"

"Your soul is broken? How does one fix that?"
I look at my still unarmed self. "I could defiantly use a weapon. Do you have anything a shaman could use? "

"I will take a silver dagger and silver reinforcing for my staff, but no more."

It is very fun. Collecting a soul in the fashion that is needed here always is.

Excellent. So eager, too. I am starting to like you all. Decide on whose soul you will use while I am retrieving weapons.

Prove yourself by performing the sacrifice, or even offering your own soul. Grogar rewards those who embrace death, and I reward those who help me.

He nods. His horn glows behind his face mask and he disappears with a small flash of light.

"My allegiance is to the ancestral spirits of nature. To turn to the will of the defiler of the dead is nothing short of blasphemy."

"Whose… soul? We gotta give up someone for this?! No way!"

"Wait, sacrifice? Soul?"

"Where are the vampires? We need directions and information on any traps along the way."

Nuh-uh! We are NOT sacrificing one of our friends!"

"A soul? I think you are evil."

There is no response. He must be away collecting things for the group.

[s]"Fools! Don't tell him we won't help him. Just get the info and the weapons, and then we go."

"I don't like this guy very much…"

"Why did you agree to something you didn't know the details of?"
I say with a slight glare.

"If you say so. Sounds a bit boring though."

"I didn't agree to anything! I just asked!"
I cower under her glare a bit.

"It sounded cool"

"I just vanted to help him kill ze vampire, I never said anytzing about mon soul."

"We'll just say we changed our minds!"

"Well, I don't think he will like that idea."
I just glare at you, with a stare that could paralyze a small creature.
"Alright, you should just be more careful with your words."

"Yea, he said he'd fix our weapons even if we didn't want to get his Phallus"

"What's that phallus thingy he's talking about anyway?"

"Let me make this very clear: Helping a lich is NOT a good idea. We end the vampires, then we go back to the surface and alert the Royal Guards about the presence of the lich. They'll need to bring a whole cadre of wizards to clear this place of the evil."

"It's the object in which the lich has stored his soul. If his body dies, his phylactery will repair it. He won't really die until the phylactery — and his soul — his destroyed."

"Isn't a phallus like a bull's… um, party parts?"
I blush.

"Vell if he tries sometzing evil, I vill have to clean him up."

Take out my morningstar and clean it a little

"Why? I see nothing wrong with him being here, haven't you heard the saying 'enemy of my enemy'?"

"Puh… party parts? We're fixing his—"

"And what happens when our mutual enemy is dead, mule? Do you really think that he'll let us leave? So that we can go do exactly what I said we should do?
"Celestia preserve me, I'm surrounded by fools."

I give her a bro hoof.
"Maybe you would like to volunteer to tell him you can't help him?"

"He said he'd reward us and I believe him"

"Mon dieu, calm down already. You make it sound like ve vouldn't be able to take him down if he attacks us."

"You're too pessamastic, Dreamy! You gotta be more trusting!"

"Youuuu were goiiiing to say peeeeniiiis~"

I bounce back and forth between her and the spider.

Rolled 5 = 5

"Are you sure we can take him down?"

"We're not telling him that we're not helping him with his phylactery problem. As far as he knows, we'll do both."
"And we're not coming back to him after we've done the deed. Or at least I'm not."

"A lich is not a stain on the carpet, maid. It's a wizard more powerful and ancient than you can understand."

"I trust that if we help him any more than is absolutely necessary, none of us will leave this tomb."

"N-no I wasn't!"
I hide behind Bessy

You nearly fall off the spider a few times, but you manage to make each jump

"Well, he did promise to help us even if we didn't wish to fix his phylactery, I'm sure he wouldn't go back on that, he wants this vampire gone as much as we do."

"Vhen he comes back vhe tell him vhe vill kill ze vampire but not give up a soul. If he vants to attack us zen so be it, he is in a veakened state anyvay. Be more optimistique!"

"Maybe he's not an evil lich…"
Blush as she says that word.

I eye over ones of the tables in the back of the room while we wait for Lord Trotston to come back

Rolled 3 = 3

"He worships Grogar, Bessy. By Luna, how naive can you be?"

"Worshiping Grogar doesn't make you bad any more than worshiping Celestia makes you good"

I examine Dreamkicker. "So, we'll just take the sliver and leave? I don't feel right about leaving any ally like that."

Rolled 8 = 8

"Exactement, you are being very ignorant monsieur professeur. Free religion is a basic right!"

"I dunno who Grogar is… I don't know all that much about your pony gods besides the Pink One and the two pretty princesses."
I drop my head in shame at his scolding.

"Correct. The logic goes in the opposite direction. Ergo, if you don't worship Celestia, then you are not good. He worships an evil being, therefore he is not good. Modus ponens."

I hop back on the spider.

"Seriously though, the grumpycorn is right. Grogar is all about death and dead things."

"Aw, Bess.." I give her a hug.
"Do vampires have souls? Maybe we can offer one of their souls to fix him?"

Rolled 8 = 8

There is a small pop and flash of light as the lich reappears with a few weapons and bars of silver. He whistles, a noise that sounds like dead leaves being blown around, a jaunty tune as he levitates a knife out of his wrappings. The blade looks like a sharpened rib, possibly one of his. He looks at the the party standing together.

Well? Have you chosen a sacrifice yet? The victim does not have to be willing if that is a problem, but it does have do be one of you that performs that ritual. I have not known any of you long enough to have formed any of the bonds that must be severed.

"That's okay Bessy. She's a pretty good god to know about if you had to chose one!"
I give her a hug

I facehoof

"Mon dieu…"

"Zere has been miscommunication and mistranslation mon ami. You see, ve are not native speakers and misunderstood your offer."

"We do not wish to sacrifice any of our members"

"None of us wanna do it!"
"Unless you wanna get rid of that icky spider
I nudge Happyhorn

"We'll find a worthy sacrifice for a lich of your power. Give us a little time. We'll be back.

"In the meantime, we'll go take care of those vampires. We need information about where they are and any traps along the way."

I glare at Pomelo and sneer through my teeth
"If we repare his soul-box, he will kill us."

"Aww, thanks guys!"
I return the hugs.
"Yeah, what he said!"

I kneel again at his approach.
"My friends may have spoken too rashly, I assure you we mean no offense, but weakening our ranks before a large fight would be unwise. Let us return to you with a sacrifice after our victory."

Rolled 5 = 5

"It's dead already, and I don't think animals have souls."

"Besides, isn't it just the most adorable thing? It's big and hairy just like your buffalo friend!"

Rolling to convince him by the way

That all of us are from Prance that is.

Meanwhile, I glare at my companions and motion them to shut up

Rolled 5 + 2 = 7

I pretty much confuse the sneer for an awkward smile and smile back

"Well it is hairy…"

"Yes, either way, we have a mutual goal first. We will discuss other things later."

Continue fiddling with my talisman

He is quiet for a few seconds.
They have covered their accents much better than you have. Do not worry. Miscommunications happen to the best of us.

The lich chuckles.
You will return after defeating the vampires with a sacrifice? Perhaps you will return with wealth and gems and corpses for me too? Or perhaps you will return with Inquisitors and holy warriors of the princesses to burn me out? This is not the first time I have been discovered, and would not be the first time ponies have come back looking for me. Once you leave this place you will not be coming back.

Are you absolutely sure that none of you wish to sacrifice a member of your group? Perhaps one of you has a personality that the others find grating, or one of you has not pulled you weight, or one of you has endangered the others and must be taught a lesson? What about you goats? Are any of you willing to sacrifice yourself? With Grogar's aid I need not use all of your soul. Your rewards would be rich indeed.

"I will not allow my soul to be dirtied by the Great Heretic. We will only destroy the vampire, in this case."

I grab Pommy and pull him into a protective hug with a leg after the last comment.

"I'm sure, no one is getting sacrificed"

I shudder at Grogar's name
And hug my best buddy

"Then there's no point in keeping any sort of charade up, lich. No, we won't be coming back, and, no, we won't be sacrificing anything to help you gain more power."

I say to dreamy and olga "Is what he says about not using the whole soul true? If we don't have to die I won't mind doing it."

"If they come back, where are thye now?"

"Oh oui, zey are quite adept at it! I am jealous of tzeir skills!"

"I won't be helping an evil being regain his power. And while I'm sure whatever he would require seems like no small sacrifice to YOU, it likely would be to the participant. And I can promise you only ill-gain if we aid a lich."

"Mirabelle, I think this lich isn't an evil spirit, and If I can help him continue to live peacefully without loosing my life, I'd like to do it. "

"B-but Andy no! No!"

"You fool! Do you know why a goat does not need to use their entire soul? It's because Grogar only needs a small taste before your unliving soul is his to control forever! Lesser beings would only die once their souls are consumed, but of us goats? Far, far worse…

"Zat is not ze point! Ze point is zat I vont allow you to give up parts of your soul for zis! It's too dangereux!"

I squint long and hard at him, then turn around.

"Sorry, King Boneface. You already got something of mine today."

So, its not possible after all. Thank you for telling me.
"Ah, alright then, I wouldn't want to leave you all like that."

That is true only if Grogar extends his blessing to the ritual, and he will do that only for goats and necromancers. With his help a little more than a quarter of the soul will remain, and it can be repaired by rituals similar to this one. If any of you goats volunteer I promise to return your mind to your body and put what is left of your soul in a safe place where it will last until it can be repaired and inserted into a popper phylactery. I will also take you on as my apprentice and teach you what I know.

Are you absolutely sure? I can over you power, knowledge, and immortality.

He looks at the rest of the group and sighs. His horn glows behind his mask and the bars of silver melt before streamers of molten metal stretch outwards towards the party's weapons and wrap about staffs, blades, and arrowheads. He then levitates weapons over to those who requested them.
If all of you are absolutely sure about you answer I will open the way for you to proceed.

"Yes, we will be done as soon as we can."

"We are sure"

"Uh… do you have anything heavier than stones?"

"Absolutely certain. Absolument."

"Yeah. Nobody's getting their sucked out today!"

What do you mean? I can provide silver coated iron nuggets if you wish.

I let out a slight giggle and nod

"I think you forgot to say 'soul' somewhere in there Pommy."
I giggle.
"Got something on your mind?~

Soul sucked out. SOUL!!

Rolling again to not be an embarassed mess

Rolled 9 = 9

"I wish you well Lord Trotston." So I got a new staff now? or what kind of weapon?

"Out of curiosity, lich, why should we trust you to honor your deal with us?"

"I guess that works… Ooh! Do you have a canon?"

"I'm wondering myself. I mean, it was nice of you to not kill us and all, but this is a bit of a tall order."

"Oh! Oh! One that shoots confetti would be awesome!"

What a pity. I had such high hopes when I saw the number of goats with you. I must admit to being surprised that one of you would purposefully try to push a companion through a mirror, but not sacrifice her when the end results are much the same.

Soul. You meant to add soul in there. If you had wanted to say something else you would have said it.

Because I am not only a Trotston, but the head of the Trotston line. My age, status as a lich, and choice of deity do not change that. I was raised to honor my word.

I have not heard of such a thing before.

"Ze first person to try and touch Andelia again vill meet my morningstar. I have already almost lost her and I have no intend on losing her now."

"Nuh-uh! Nobody's touching Pommy or anyone else!"

"You've never heard of a canon? It's like a… long metal stick that goes boom and shoots stuff!"

"yes, that mirror part very bad.. I feel for your plight lich, but I can't do anything to my teammates, and leaving them would hurt them too."
I put my arm around Mirabelle.

"Try as you might, I will not fall."

"I think we're all sure on our answer here mister"

I will have to look into those. Thank you, Bessy.

His horn glows and a floor tile by the group disappears.
Down those stairs are the crypts where I take the bodies of the decedents of the town's founders after they are buried. Down there is also where the vampire and his spawn make their homes. All I can tell you is that there were no traps down there before he took them over. I have no knowledge of the modifications he has made or the number of children and thralls that he has.

Previously on Crypt Quest the party faced off against against the lich that built this underground structure. After a few rounds of building up power the lich unleashed his ultimate attack: Sunlight. Once the lich learned that the party were not vampires he ceased his attack. After a bit of conversing the party agreed to kill the vampire and his spawn for the lich, and even agreed to help him fix his phylactery. Before leaving to fetch the party weapons he revealed that he would need a soul to do so. When he returned the party convinced him that they did not know what they were agreeing to, so he let them off the hook. The party turned down several more offers by the lich and he eventually gave up and opened a staircase leading down for the party.

The party is in a large circular room that is lit with sunlight. It shows sign of a recent battle, and there is a hole in the ground leading downwards. The lich stands by the basin, managing to look dejected despite a painted mask covering his face.

"Don't despair, monsieur squelette. Ve vill still take care of ze vampire, zat has to count for sometzing, crrecte?"

"Not to worry, we shall still get the vampire"

I take a deep breath and start walking down the stairs
"Let's go idontwannafightvampiresohgosh"

"This vampire is the root of all the disappearances. We have to stop him."

Follow Pomelo into the tunnel.

Goes down the stairs

"Come on Mirabelle, the undead wait for no pony." I march down the stairs.

Follow Pommy.
"Hey now! It's aright! Ain't nothin' gonna happen long as we stick together!"

I follow.

"Hey, can't be all that different from what's happened so far."

"Oui, right behind you!"

Follow her

Yes, thank you for not fighting me on that. Best of luck to all of you.

The party descends the twisting staircase. After half a minute of walking the smell of the air changes from a stale dryness to damp, rotten scent. The reason for this is made evident when the party reaches the bottom of the staircase. The light from their lanterns reflects off of murky, stagnant water that comes over the first step of the staircase. The room is of a more traditional square shape and his supported by four pillars. The sound of trickling water can be heard and a few pony corpses float in the water. There is a flash of light and Happyhorn's spider appears in the room.

"Isn't this just cozy?"

"Are those…"
Locate. Now.
There's gotta be a trap somewhere!

Rolled 8 = 8

Ugh I'd puke if I had anything left in me"
Eye the room for traps

Rolled 5 = 5

I check the corpses for any signs of after life, or anything useful.

Rolled 10 = 10

I reel back a bit from the smell and sight

"Zese poor souls…"

Scan the room

Rolled 3 = 3

I jump up on my spider and use Locate on the room.

Rolled 3 + 2 = 5

Investigate the corpses.

Rolled 4 + 2 = 6

You sling a few stones into the water. Each of them land with the same sound, except for the last one which lands in the middle of the room, between the pillars.

You cannot see any traps.

All of the corpses look like they have been floating in the water for at least a few days. Their bloated, saggy flesh makes it hard to see, but there are puncture wounds on their necks. The much more obvious wounds on the bodies are chunks of missing flesh. The toothmarks on exposed bone tell the tale of sharp, pointy teeth, but the size of the bitemark tells you that ponies did this. All the corpses are missing at least half their flesh. They are dead right now, but there is nothing keeping them from being raised.

There are four walls, four pillars, a bunch of water, and some corpses.

You jump up on your spider's back and survey the room. You can see everything that Happyhorn can, plus a crack on the left wall that water is trickling out of.

You look at the corpse with your magical sight. You can see where the flesh was torn off the body, the rottenness of it, and puncture wounds on the neck.

Two voices speak.
"Well well, what is this?"
"It sounds like visitors."
"It sounds like snacks."
"So nice of our undead friend to send us snacks."
"Why would he send us snacks?"
"Because he thought he was sending us exterminators."
"I want a better look at them."
"Me too."

"Ah! Who said that?!"
I hop behind Dreamkicker, then peer out and try to see where the voices came from

Rolled 6 = 6

"Bah, zis is terrible. Ve vill avenge zese ponies."

Wait for the party to make an action and take out my Morningstar

Search for the voices' source

Rolled 2 = 2

"There's a trap in the middle of the roo- where'd those voices come from?!"
I hop over and hide behind Pommy.

"This must be where they feed, be on your guard." I search the room for a source of the voices.

Rolled 5 = 5

Scan the room and ceiling for vampires.

Rolled 5 + 2 = 7

"Icky, they're all waterlogged and stuff. Also the wall is leaking."

I point out the crack in the wall and look around for the source of the voices.

Rolled 2 + 2 = 4

Each of you look around, but neither of you can see the source of the voices. They speak again, one male and one female.
"Oh how cute."
"Two little goats."
"A boy one and a girl one."
"They'd look so cute together."
"I hope he let's us keep them."
"Me too."

"A maid?"
"How useful."
"Master will be pleased."

You stick your head under the water but cannot find them. You take your head out of the water.
"Oh look."
"Canned food."
"Do you have a can opener?"
"No, but it came with one."

The two voices give an impressed whistle at the same time.
"Look at her!"
"She's huge!"
"We could feed for days!"
"She's trying to hide behind the cute goat!"
"So silly."

You close your eyes and let your mind look at the room. Seeing nothing at ground level, you turn your gaze upwards. Two ponies are at the back of the room, standing on the ceiling as if that were a perfectly normal thing to do.
"Why does he have a bald butt?"
"Is he sick?"
"Does that mean he's no good?"
"Do you feel like we're being watched?"

Rolled 1 = 1

"He can see us!"
The ponies turn and run across the ceiling towards the door at the back of the room. One goes through, but the other pauses and turn to look at the party.

Rolled 3 = 3

Three of the floating corpses thrash, then stand up and start walking towards the party.
"Don't lose too much blood!"
The pony vanishes through the door at the back of the room.

Crippling Shot!

Rolled 6 + 2 = 8

Take a sh-
Okay shoot one of those.

Rolled 3 + 1 = 4

I take a swing at the nearest corpse

Rolled 4 = 4

"Ah merde."

Charge at the corpses and smash one of them with my morningstar

"Mes excuses…"

Rolled 7 = 7

I swing my axe in the direction of the voices

Rolled 2 = 2

"Gah, they are using the dead against us! Get away from the bodies!" I use roots on them.

Rolled 6 = 6

I fidget and flush a little at their description.

"I'm still getting used to this!"

"That's not how you're supposed to do it!"

Rolled 9 = 9

Your silver coated iron nugget shatters a corpse's leg and knock it over. The zombie flails around in the water, unable to stand.

Your bolt sinks harmlessly into a zombie's flank.

You slip on something you don't want to think about in the water. One of the zombies starts to gnaw on your shoulder.

You cave in part of a zombie's head with your mace. Bits of flesh, bone, and teeth fall into the water.

You swing your axe at empty air and hit nothing. A zombie bites down on your armored leg and the force of its jaw crushes the armor there.

You shoot at the same zombie Dreamkicker did, but hit it in the head. It tries to walk forwards, but one of its legs no longer works.

Marksman Shot at the zombie gnawing on Pommy!

Rolled 6 = 6

Again! I'm going full house on these things!

Rolled 10 = 10

I slam the zombie that bit my leg

Rolled 2 = 2

I cry out in pain and headbutt this horrible thing off me

Rolled 6 = 6

Shoot at the same zombie.

We're all standing in water, right?

Rolled 10 + 1 = 11

I guess I rooted one of them?
I use my spear to attack the zombie attacking korrin.

Rolled 5 = 5

Marksman shot on one

Unless using a crossbow modifier is too op then just shoot

Rolled 10 + 2 = 12

"Night Stalkers! Be purged!"

Beholder hits one of them with a slow ray, then I hit the same one with silver staff.

Rolled 6, 8 = 14

Keep shooting!

Rolled 4 = 4

Your iron nugget hits its head and explodes it like a melon. Bits of skull and brain go flying everywhere.

You swing your morningstar with both hooves and hit the zombie's head so hard that it collapses, along with the neck, into its chest. It dies.

It bites harder and you can feel water against your hoof as it rends that small bit of armor in its mouth.

Your zombie is dead, so you headbutt the zombie trying to chew throw Korrin's armor and push it away.

Roots burst from beneath the water and hold the final zombie steady. You stab it harmlessly in the gut a few times.

Your projectiles hit its head at the same time, and seconds before…

a yellow beam hits the zombie. Its head explodes in slow motion as your break its legs with your staff.

Time goes back to normal around it and your bolt flies through empty air.

"Who are those people?"
"This isn't good."
"This is very bad."
"We should tell the master."
"We should."
Hooves running on stone can be heard through the open doorway at the back of the room.

"Don't chase them! They will inevitably have left traps on the floor if they can walk on the ceiling!"

"The only trap I found was in the center of the room!"
I try to point it out for everyone to see.

Rolled 7 = 7

"B-but those jerks wanna stick me with Happyhorn! She has girl germs!"
I do a cute goat snarl

"That's some good pointing, Bessy."

You point out the general area of the trap you found in the center of the room.

"What the- Come back you cowards! Are you feeling okay Korrin?" Use bear bash on the zombie.

Rolled 8 = 8

"But I'm a girl Pommy! I don't have girl germs."
"Or are you just sayin' that 'cause of Dreamy?~

Heal korrin

Rolled 5 = 5

Uh, if they are all dead then ignore the attack..

I try to see what kind of trap it is

"Pfft that's different. You're you!"
I give Bessy a hug
"See? No germs here!"

Rolled 6 = 6

"Hey! I may have had the party piston swapped for a pouch, but I'm not the one jumping on top of a not-goat every chance I get!"

You crush the dead zombie's rib cage and get guts and blood on your hooves.

You bend his armor back into shape by hitting it with your morningstar a few times.

"I think Bessy is right, we should still proceed with caution though"

Rolled 9 = 9

"Leave Pommy alone, he's just a young goat after all."

[s]disregard roll[\s]

"Wha? I haven't jumped on top of anyone! Except Bessy, but she's big enough to carry me!"

Mind the trap then follow and use crippling shot on one of the runners

Rolled 3 + 2 = 5

"Let's refrain from defiling these corpses further."

"Oh reeeally~"

I inch up close to her.

"That's not what I heard from the pit~"

I look at my hooves. "I.. It could have gotten up you know!" I say defiantly.

"I-I don't know what you're talking about lady!"

I sniff and clean my morningstar up a little, waiting for the party to get moving.

My maid outfit must be a mess by now right?

Yeah it's probably ripped and torn a little, too.

"thanks for that Mira, I hate having my armor out of shape"

I just laugh and bounce around the trap, my spider following.

"Depraved children!"

I huff and give a little frustrated stomp

I make a silly face at Olga

"Hm, maybe you're right Pommelo should stick to his own species, and leave the stallions for ponies. "

"How far do we have left?"

I give her a glare.

Your immune system is able to fight off Bessy's girl germs. The water looks darker in the middle of the room, so it might be a pit trap.

You blindly fire a bolt after the receding voices. You cannot tell if you hit anything.

It is ripped and torn from your trips through the arch and the battles you have been in. The is spider blood and pony blood on it and it is absorbing the rank water you are standing in.

Safely circumnavigating the trap you and your spider arrive in front of the open door. The opening and the long hallway beyond look large enough to accommodate you riding your spider if it stayed crouched down. There is an open door at the other end.

I give a heartbroken glare and move to the back

"Not only that, but thinking of a Piercing of the Second Aperture and Spear Biting in this place of evil? They invite trouble!"

Glare at him back.

"Oh alors Olga, let zem do vhat zey vant to do."

I glare at her

"Andelia, your… how you say… narrowmindness disappoints me."

I look my outfit over sadly

I hang my head down and follow Happyhorn

"yes, all species have the right to love who they want"

"…Pommy don't look at me like that.." I turn away from his cute goat eyes.
"not you too… I mean It isn't nat-" All these glares make me fall silent, blushing a deep red.

I smirk a little bit and join Pomelo.

"Piercing the Second Aperture? Spear Biting? What's that mean?"
I walk over and follow along side him.
"Awww, Andy's just being silly Pommy!"

I snicker at all of this.

Pretend not to hear her.

The rest of the party joins Happyhorn. Behind the open door is a long hallway that is flooded just like the room they are in. At the other end is an open door.

I walk away from her, still disappointed, and follow the rest of the party.

"I don't tzink I can fix mon outfit anymore… zut."

"Hurry and look for traps!" Should they reach their master and be given ample time to prepare…"

I look at the floor for traps. Those eyes aren't leaving the floor anytime soon ;_;

Rolled 7 = 7

Search for traps.

Rolled 3 = 3

"What have I gotten myself into…"

Slowly follow the group

That won't do at all!
Rolling to do a silly thing and cheer Pommy up!

Also Locate I guess.

Rolled 5, 10 = 15

"Come on, Mira.. I just got jealous I'm sorry.."
"Right!" Search for traps.

Rolled 4 = 4

Searchin for traps

Rolled 9 = 9

Ignore her and look for traps

Rolled 3 = 3

"Pommy.. Come on, we're still friends, I didn't really mean it.. I think you're a really cute goat, too cute in fact." I try to mimic mirabelle's three kisses routine. and with a tear in my eye. "You and dreamkicker …. No.. I.. " I am unable to continue, rolling to see if I totally beef it or not.

Rolled 8 = 8

It is nearly impossible to see anything beneath the murky water.

The hallway looks safe.

You follow them.

You splash around in the water, but your heart wasn't in it. You can spot three false walls along the hallway. One on the left, one on the right, and another on the left. The water clears for a brief moment and you spot a metal line before the first false wall, after the last false wall, and separating every one in between. The space between each of the metal bars can fit four ponies, or two ponies and a buffalo or spider.

The hallway looks safe.

You can see three false walls in the wall, laid out in a left, right left pattern.

The hallway looks safe.

You did well and have the strength to keep going.

I relay that information to everyone else.
"So what're we gonna do?"

"Vell done mesdemoiselle bison. Professeur, what do you tzink ve should do?"

Rolled 2 = 2

"Pick a way"
I kick the water a little

"Well, lets go to the left. Left is the usual right path in this place."

Still not cheered up?…
Time to take serious measures.
It's time to bring out the boop
I walk over and boop Pommy on the nose.

Rolled 7 = 7

File: 1347682771256.png (15.49 KB, 819x700, hall.png)

Here is a visual aid.

Oh, nice map.

Thank you

Your boop is successful, but it could have been better.

It's fancy as hell.

I squint at each of the walls.

"Well, they all look the same to me."

I give a small giggle and boop back.

"Maybe Bessy can demolish the walls."

"I'll try to see through these walls."

see-'ems on the nearest false wall.

Rolled 6 + 2 = 8

"I dunno, I'm still smarting from the exploding table…"

"Hey! You don't boop in jest! That is a serious gesture!"

"Maybe there is a switch that flips the walls?" I look around for one.

Rolled 10 = 10

The wall is designed to lift into the ceiling.

You can see a switch on the wall past the doorway at the other end of the hallway.

Flood detection can go to hell.

Are we still standing in water?

"Hey, I see a switch. everyone stand back from the walls while I try it out." I go flip it.

I hate you

would having a unicorn maid levitate you get you dry enough?

Maybe, but I still wouldn't be able to zap our enemies without fear of electrocuting the whole party.

Keep praying for aid.

Rolled 1 = 1

Fucking auto-updater

"Just stand back."

Pull the switch with my magic

Rolled 6 = 6

A voice fills your head, leaving no room for any other sense until it finishes speaking.
The party can hear flash snapping and bones cracking as the five corpses in the room stand. Their missing and damaged limbs and heads are remade into forms more terrible than they were before.

The party faces five zombies, some with fangs and claws.

You pull the switch. Four metal walls rise from beneath the water and stone grinds and the false walls are lifted away. Each wall has a square of mesh big enough to look through in the center.
"What did they do that for?"
"Mortals are stupid."

Crippling shot!

Rolled 3 + 2 = 5

Tiger stance them.

Rolled 5 = 5

"Ah! More of them!"
Strike at a zombie

Rolled 4 = 4

"What did you do know, crone?!"
Shoot one of them in the face.

Rolled 3 + 2 = 5

"This is getting boooring! And they smell!"

I take aim and shoot while my spider ascends the walls.

Rolled 5 = 5

Use roots on the corpses. "I'm so sorry that your bodies have been used this way. Let us end your misery."

Rolled 2 = 2

Merde! Flip the switch again!

"Mes excuses!"

Take out my morningstar and take out the nearest zomble

Rolled 5 = 5

Slow ray and burn ray, hit one with the silver staff!

"Grogars' presence is strong here, and he seems to have taken an interest in us…"

Rolled 3, 4, 5 = 12

"what? Grogar has taken this much of an interest in us? That can't be good."

"A crypt, rumours of foul necromancers, the town's hatred of them… curses! The very archenemy of my people, here of all places! I should have seen this!"

I give Olga a small hug. "Its not your people's fault. They can't be held responsible for these monsters. These are the works of necromancers that have chosen the path of evil."

Ruffle head a little.
"You are very kind. I should buy you some candy later."

"Less hugging, more fighting!"

"Aw, Dreeeammy. There's no need to be jealous. You can have a hug anytime.~" I give him a hug, and smile very wide.

Your shot misses.

You strike one of the unmutated ones in the head a couple of times, cracking its skull.

One of them, fast as lightning, lashes out with a freshly grown leg. It doesn't impact with much force, but the area where it hits your aches and burns.

Your bolt bounces off a set a freshly grown teeth.

You large spider begins climbing up a wall as you shoot one of them in the side. It does not notice your attack.

Some roots wrap around one of the mutated corpses, but wither and die after a few second of contact.

You have to quickly move from from attack to defense when one of them swipes at your with a new leg. The tip of its hoof brushes yours and makes it cramp.

Neither ray is able to fire from your heavily damaged beholder. Your staff is knocked aside by a zombie and it lightly brushes you, causing pain and discomfort.

Again! Crippling Shot!

Rolled 10 + 2 = 12

Use tiger stance again.

Rolled 4 + 2 = 6

I ignore this
Strike again!

Rolled 6 = 6

Let's try that again!

Rolled 1 = 1

I use bear bash on the one Mushu is attacking. "Stay dead!"

Rolled 8 = 8

"Blessed saviour, though your shell be worn, I beseech thee to hold on for longer…"

While my Beholder continues the flame and slow rays, I get out my talisman an cats resurrect on one of the zombies to exorcise it.

Rolled 6, 1, 4 = 11

Shoot at the zombie attacking Pomelo.

Rolled 4 + 1 = 5

I jump back and keep shooting while my spider webs them down.

Rolled 9, 4 = 13

Your shot goes wide and bounces off a pillar, then another pillar, then a wall. It continues to bounce and ricochet and when it finally splashes into the water three of the five zombies are helpless.

You strike the zombie in the head again. Its weak skull splits open and its brains spill out.

You manage to land a hit first, your silvered staff splitting the flesh on the head it hit.

Bessy's iron nugget, before it finishes it's flight, hits you on the head and knocks you out cold.

It is dead, so you turn you attention to Pomelo's zombie. You strike with as much strength as you can muster and crack its skull.

Your beholder sears one of the zombies, unable to ignite the waterlogged corpse. One of its two renaming eyestalks vanishes as a time anomaly unmakes it. You can hear laughter, cold as the grave, as your powers fail and the zombie nips your leg.

Your bolt useless hits its dead flesh and another one lunges at you, missing but touching you. The touch causes agony.

Your bolt pierces the skull of Pomelo's zombie, dropping it. Your spider then shoots the dead zombie with webs.

3 left, all still Helpless.

My beholder and I just smack the same zombie with an eyestalk and staff, then.

Rolled 5, 3 = 8

I try to wake up Mirabelle. "Come on Mirabee!"

Rolled 6 = 6

Cure on Dreamkicker if that touch caused anything

Rolled 1 = 1

Shoot one of the zombies.

Rolled 7 + 1 = 8

"Awww ye- ohmygosh I'm so sorry Belle!"
Marksman Shot on whoever approaches her while she's down!

Rolled 2 = 2

Finish one of them.

Rolled 9 + 2 = 11

Try to wake and get up?

Rolled 10 = 10

Shake my head
"It's fine…"

I strike back at one of the zombies.

Rolled 5 = 5

Both of you wail uselessly on the helpless zombie.

You are able to wake her up.

Dreamkicker didn't have anything, but your botched spell infected him with Bessy's girl germs.

You kill one of the helpless zombies with a bolt through the head.

All the zombies are helpless.

You crush one of their heads with a single hoof.

You are already up so you finish off the last zombie with your morningstar.

They are all dead.

I need to call it here. I am too tired to run this and play Raisin quest at the same time. If you want to make any rolls I will be here, but leaving this room will have to wait for another night.

>but your botched spell infected him with Bessy's girl germs

rolling to hug those germs out

Rolled 3 = 3

You alternate between hugging his butt and hugging his front, but all you manage to do is infect yourself with Bessy's girl germs.

"Ha! Are you afraid of the cuties? Don't worry I have a remedy for that."

I glare and wrap my arms around Dreamkicker's butt
"Get back! I don't need any more girl germs!"

I glare back. "What are you doing to poor dreamy? I'm sure he doesn't want you there."

I laugh and rub up against him.

"What, didn't like having them before? I kinda do."

I immediately blank my face and scoot back

"No! Nooo gross!"
I tear up a little

"Hey! Stop molesting my buddy!"
I shoo her away then grab Pommy into a protective hug.

I sigh. He's just a kid after all. "Here, I know a remedy for girl germs." I mix up some spices and a little bit of flour and water. "put this on the area you want to cure of girl germs."

I dig my face into Bessy's fur
"I have girl germs noooow! Go away you might get them too!"

"I'm not trusting you! You're one of them!"

Pommy's glare has no affect and I eat the spiced doe myself, rolling not to get sick from it.

Rolled 7 = 7

It doesn't taste half bad.

"Aww, I don't mind!"
Using a free hoof, I pull out my panpipes and play a little ditty to the Pink One.
"Hey Pink One, can you cure Pommy of the girl germs?"

Rolled 5 = 5

I see this and pray for a cure from these girl germs

Rolled 10 = 10

"I can't do everything for you and your friends, silly."

"Hmm, just like Nana Hooves used to make for me." I giggle a little at the memory.
Why are you praying for it to go away? Girl germs aren't the bad part.

Wellllllllll, okay.
The girl germs are removed from your body. You even feel manly now.

I'm gonna have to shake my little goat tail and give Bessy a celebratory high hoof riiiiight about….. now

"See? everything's better now!"
I return that high hoof with vigor!

I can't help but smile and I attempt to give him a a high hoof too.

Want to roll? You don't have to, but you can.

Rolling for that high hoof

Not rolling for this
"Down low!"
But then I swing my hoof away. Andy was… too slow

Rolled 7 = 7

Rollin' for that high hoof!

Rolled 8 = 8

I look disappointed, and try to tickle him.

Rolled 8 = 8

Rolled 8 = 8

The two of you high hoof.

Voices can be hear from the other side of the metal slabs.
"Not bad."
"We are better."
"Of course we are."

"Is that a challenge? Whaddya you think Pommy?"

vs is right, that is PVP.

"It is a challenge I will tickle him until he gives up!"

Rolled 10 = 10

"Tickle him."
"Tickle the cute goat."

"I think we need to show them nobody can high hoof like we can!"

Rolled 10 = 10

"Come here!"

Rolled 7 = 7

Are you two going to say what happens here or should I?

I jump up on Bessy and make a teasing face
"Hah! No girls allowed up here!"

It's whoever rolls highest wins right? I'm cool with taking it

"Get down from there you little imp!" I try to jump up after him.

Rolled 6 = 6

"I'm not an imp I'm a goat!"
Jumping to avoid

Rolled 5 = 5

I jump with him!

Rolled 7 = 7

After slapping into bessy's side, I land on my butt and splash water from the puddle I landed in. "Ow, fine it that' how you want to play.."

"Ehehehe! Thank you Bessy~"
I give her a hug and shake my goat butt at Andelia.
Rolling to see how well I shake

Rolled 4 = 4

"Why are you so fustrating!" use roots to keep bessy in place.

Rolled 7 = 7

"That's cheating!"
I try to smack the roots away with my staff

Rolled 5 = 5

Andelia holds her own very well and makes Pomnelo laugh, but Pomelo is the clear victor when with tickling skills have her crying tears of mirth.

"So cute."
"So nimble."
"Like a child."
"I hope we can keep him."

What you meant to be innocent teasing turns into a slightly lewd show.
"Oh my."
"Not like a child."
"Not at all."
"I really want to keep him."
"And the other goat."
"They will be fun."

And fail…

While he's distracted I pounce on him.

Rolled 5 = 5

Rolling to not be embarassed

Rolled 2 = 2

I love those twins!

I'll just stand to the side with a amused look on my face

I dodge while I wait for my brain to process embarassment

Rolled 9 = 9

You blush as red as a tomato.
"My heart, I think I felt it beat."
"So embarrassed."
"He shouldn't be embarrassed."
"We can train the embarrassment out of him."
"The goats will be such fun."

"fast little imp aren't you!" I trip a bit trying to catch him and land in front of mirabelle.

Help her up

"Enjoying yourself?"

Rolled 4 = 4

Rolling to pin him down.

Rolled 10 = 10

I laugh,feeling refreshed. "I'll get him yet."

I am pinned. Too embarassed to move
oh gosh

"Oh my."
"Was his show too much for her?"

"Awww yeah!"
I high hoof him again.

Rolled 8 = 8

I give him a kiss on the cheek and tickle him until he begs for mercy.

Rolled 5 = 5

Rolled 5 = 5

"Nooo! Pommy!"
I try to rescue him from the Andy menace!

Rolled 9 = 9

That was not a pvp roll.

oh, okay.

"You vill have to get past me first!"

Block the way

Rolled 1 = 1

I am lifted up by bessy, her stronk arms easily remove me from pommy. "Nooo, put me down! I have to make him quit in order to win dreamy's heart. "

After the the tickling stops the two of you stare at each other. The stares hold no hidden meaning.

You pull him away and sit down…

On top of Mirabelle.

Laughter can be heard coming from behind the metal sheets.

Ah, my sides!

Or not.
>wrong password.

"Bessy get your butt off miss pretty mare!"

"Alright, we'll stop fighting Bessy.." I stare at Pomelo still giggling a little.

"Aaaah! Sorry miss Mirabelle!"
I quickly get up.

Mirabelle, you okay under there?

Crawl from under the destroyer of worlds

Take a few deep ragged breaths and nod

"How sweet."
"A sweet pony."
"So sweet."
"She smells sweet."
"So sweet to bleed."
"So sweet to taste."
"A sweet and tasty pony."

"You aren't thinking of eating Mirabelle are you?" I stand protectively by her. "She IS NOT FOOD. Got it?"

I pat the dust off Mirabelle
"Don't worry miss pretty mare. She didn't mean to plant her butt on you. At least I don't think so!"

"Keep the maid."
"The maid can clean."
"You are sweet."
"Sweet blood."
"Sweet to drink."
"Not to eat."

Lick my hoof experimentally, after which I grimace

"I don't even taste good."

Wave my hoof at him
"Pas de probleme."

I stagger back a bit at this."Whaa- you want to do what?!" I grip my sliver spear tightly "Don't you have something useful to say instead of talking about food you can't get?"

Rolled 8 = 8

"Does pony taste different than goat?"
I lick her hoof too

Rolled 6 = 6

"come to think of it I don't know what goat taste like.. Would you mind letting me try your hoof?"

"Not on the outside."
"One the inside."
"The blood."
"Tasty blood."

"We can get you."
"You will come to us."
"We will get you."
"You wouldn't come this far to turn around."
"Suck you dry."

Pony does taste different than goat. Her hoof is covered with corpse flavored water, but has an undertone of sugar to it.
"Oh my."
"Oh yes."
"I can't wait to have him."
"Bite her to taste her."

"Why are we entertaining these Dark Spirits?"

"Don't tempt corruption!"

"Guh… only if you promise not to give me more girl germs"
I offer a hoof

I lick it, getting a little bit of hair in my mouth but its definitely different. "Hm, interesting. Thanks Pommy."
"What harm could it do?"

It's no fun if you don't roll for it

"Giving in to such curiosity is the beginning to darkness, child, especially where you may be manipulated easily! We are within to domain of Grogar, so watch yourself!

Rolled 8 = 8

I give her a small experimental lick too

"Vell I dont vant that!"

Rolled 5 = 5

"Light up a little, Grogar's not going to take control of us because of a little pony or goat drool."
"We, won't turn around, but we aren't going to lose to you either. So you can't have us for a meal."

Rolled 3 = 3

"EEEK- uh…"

Roll to see if I can get out of my stupor

"do not risk your soul, child!"

Rolled 8 = 8

"Quiet, hag."
"Old hag."
"You aren't cute."
"Old blood."
"Ugly blood."
"Better with age."
"It isn't wine."

You wipe his hoof off before licking it. It tastes rich and reminds you of stew.

She is even even mix of rich stew flavor and wrinkly old person flavor.

"Such a shame we can't keep them all."
"They would compete."
"But we can play them them."
"Play with our food."

"Silly goat."
"Stupid hag."

"You don't sound sure."
"You sound afraid."
"We are sure of what will happen."
"Don't be afraid."
"We will win."
"The bite feels good."

You are able to get out of your stupor, but cannot completely banish the thoughts if what might of happened if she were still a he.

"You vant to test out how good my veapon feels like!?"

I also spit on the ground to get rid of the old people taste

Rolled 9 = 9

I get a serious look on my face. "You really think so. I'll take you seriously then. What should we to instead?"
I shake my spear at them, "All you shall taste is Sliver, none of my sweet blood is for you."

Rolled 9 = 9

Turn to the voices.
"It has taken much training to make my flesh unpalatable to demons. How very kind of you."

"Meditate and ignore them. They may destroy our bodies, but as long we do not give in, our souls will remain safe."

Rolling to perform a convincing prayer ritual

Rolled 3 = 3

I help with my own prayer

Rolled 5 = 5

As do I

Rolled 5 = 5

"Alright. " I join hands with the others to help in the prayer.

Rolled 2 = 2

You get the old person taste out of your mouth.
"Why don't you test my weapon instead."
"Save it for the not-as-cute goat."
"She started it."

They go quiet for a few seconds.
"Even if you do beat us…"
"The master will beat you…"
"You may replace us."
"Would you like that?"

It isn't very convincing, but it isn't a complete failure.
"They won't help save you."
"It won't work."
"They didn't save the others."
"Your goddesses are weak."
"They didn't save us."

"Didn't save you? Interesting…"

"You may speak and tell me your Forms, Truths and Reasons for your existence. I may try to heal you."

Rolled 2 = 2

"Your maître vants to kill us or turn us into minions?"

"You mean replace you with other vampires? What do you mean our gods are weak?"

Rolled 10 = 10

Uproarious laughter floods down the hallway. Hooves can be heard banging on the floor.
"Did you really try-"
"-to do what we think-"
"-you just did?"
They start laughing again before stopping suddenly.
"What do you think we are?"
"Tell us."
"Tell us."

"We want to eat."
"But keep the two goats."
"Food is thrown away after we eat."
"And keep you."
"But feed you grass."
"The goats blood."
"They are small and don't need much."
"The buffalo can last them for weeks."
"Months if we keep her full of grass."

"If we get killed."
"The master will make replacements."
"He likes pairs."
"Maybe you and baldy butt."
"Your gods can't save you."
"Or stop us."
"They are weak down here."
"Grogar keeps them weak."
"And could care less about us."

"In truth, I do not know. I have purged many a home of an unholy being, brought to rest many others unable to find peace, but until you show yourselves I cannot pretend to know anything."

"So, your master is a vampire necromancer? He killed you and then made you his servants? Don't you want to leave?"

Rolled 1 = 1

"Vell zat is just depressing… Though zis place could definitely use a cleanup…"

"This is a pretty sad story. Aside from wanting to eat me, they seem okay." I shift a little, "that is a large discomfort though."
"Maybe this is the place they got 'purged' too? There is an abundance of evil spirits here, they don't normally gather like this do they?"

"Perhaps an earlier cleric was sent here and failed, though I don't know if the town itself knows the truth about their founder being a lich. Or perhaps the 'Master' is more powerful than any of us can expect."

"I wonder how he got to be a Lich anyway."

"We are vampires, stupid."
"Didn't the pile of bones tell you?"
"Couldn't you have guessed with what we said?"
"How old are you?"
"Did you escape the retirement home?"

"She wants us to tell."
"Should we tell tell?"
"I don't want to tell much."
"Neither do I."
"We don't want to leave though."
"We have fun here."
"We eat well."

"Not depressing."
"New friends are a good thing."
"But only if the master agrees."
"Clean the place for us."
"We won't bite."
"You need all your blood to clean."

"We are fun."
"That's what our food says."
"They enjoy it."
"And we enjoy them."
"Come over here."
"It will be fast."
"It will be fun."

"I vill regretfully decline your offer, monsieurs."

"The secrets to becoming a lich are forbidden to all save the most high-ranking in my temple, and is but one of the many ways in which immortality is achieved. The process requires separating the soul and placing it into a vessel, the 'phylactery'. Yet, it is impossible to do alone, because one need handle the soul for you while in the midst of the process. Often the lich asks the aid of Grogar to oversee it, and end up with an eternity of debt to him."

"Well, that much is obvious. If you will tell nothing more, than you shall deserve nothing but oblivion."

"That's right, she's my maid. You can't have her!" I put a hoof around Mirabee protectively.

"Say, what would you do if there wasn't anymore 'food' coming in? If we defeat your master then he won't be there to stop you from leaving, wouldn't you like to be free?"

Rolled 5 = 5

"So someone had to help him, but he didn't seem to have anyone with him.. I guess Grogar could have done it then, but what makes a man so desperate to be in-dept like that their whole life?"

"Firstly, it is inaccurate to call the state of undeath a 'life'. I won't go into details, but there are key differences. His reasons are open to guesswork, perhaps he wanted to watch over his town?"

"You say that now."
"You will change your mind."
"If you like having your blood, at least."

"What else is there to tell?"
"We are vampires."
"We want your blood."
"Standard Nightmare Night type stuff."

"Defeat the master?"
"Without defeating us?"
"We won't let you."
"We can't let you."
"Master is good to us."
"He keeps us safe."
"He helps us find food."
"He teaches us."
"Freedom is scary."
"It is too soon."

"Forgive me, I don't know much about the arts of Necromancy. I did feel that he was a good soul though, I just have a hard time imagining what drives a good soul to make a deal with an evil god."
"Didn't you say earlier he didn't care for you at all? I already am starting to care for you. I've even heard some ponies have a sort of interest in vampires these days. You could feed a little off several and keep them alive as a steady food source and companions, instead of killing them and having piles of bodies.. All you have to do is let us by when the time comes, we are strong, we can free you."

Rolled 7 = 7

"Of your past lives, and how you came to be. But if you have no interest in salvation, then begone."

Site down to meditate.

Rolled 3 = 3

"Master cares for us."
"Master loves us."
"But master isn't a fool."
"We can be replaced if we die."
"But your idea…"
"Master takes care of us."
"Master teaches us to take care of ourselves."
"The world is dangerous."
"We are dangerous."
"It is comfortable here."
"Yes it is."
"And Master takes care of us."
"But if he dies…"
"Tell us more."
"Master won't die."
"But just in case."

"We cannot be saved."
"Master showed us."
"He took us to the moon temple."
"And the laughter temple."
"They hurt."
"Hurt terribly."
"But he cares for us."
"And Master cares for us."

"One need not follow the pony gods to gain salvation. It can come from within, as long as one has the will."

Rolling to meditate again.

Rolled 10 = 10

"Its simple, you just have to take care of the ponies you feed off of. I think you would need a dozen, You could spend all night with them. The games you could have would be amazing. Are you really comfortable with just the two of you here? Even vampires such as yourselves must get lonely. By keeping your prey alive and well, and making them your companions you would have much more fun, and much less mess. " I try to sound even more convincing. "You were right about us not turning back, we're going to keep going until we kill the master because he has slaughtered too many of our people for us not to act. If you stay out of the way, we won't come after you, you can make a new home and spend all night with your new pony friends.."

Rolled 1 = 1

As you meditate roots grow up from the ground and form a seat for you above the water. The aura of calmness you exude can be felt even by the Twins.
"From within?"
"If we have the will?"
"Tell us more."
"Tell us."

"The idea is sound."
"If we could find the right ponies."
"Or nonponies."
"And avoid the ones that hunt us."
"Food we can play with as much as we want."
"If we don't break it."
"If, yes."
"We like your idea."
"We do."
"But we must protect the master."
"We must try."
"And there is the matter of trust."
"How do we know you won't kill us without the master to save us?"
"How can we know you won't give us to the bag of bones?"
"Trust goes both ways."
"If you can trust us."
"We can trust you."
"You talk the talk."
"But can you walk the walk?"

I nod at them. "I will find a way to prove myself to you, if you come up with a suitable test, for I have no way of knowing what you would find worthy."

"You can prove yourself now."
"Before your friends have a chance to act."
"They look tired."
"We promise you won't die."
"Or turn."
"We will be gentle."
"Trust us."
"And we trust you."

Water sloshes and metal creeks and groans as the two metal slabs closest two you slide down.

"Step forwards."

I enter the opening.

The twins sound as if they are about to say something, but change their minds. The metal slabs behind you start to clank upwards while the two in front of you lower. There are the silhouettes of two ponies at the end of the hall.

"What kind contraption is this?" I squint at the ponies, "is that you twin vampires?" roll to inspect them.

Rolled 3 = 3

"There are none who can command a soul unless it has been given up willingly. Only the owner truly owns a souls, and even if it has been given up, there a ways to reclaim it. So long as your wills are strong enough to resist influence, many roads open."

"And if it is gods you wish to turn to for salvation, but the pony gods will not accept you, then there is always the spirits of nature, of which you are, or were a part of. Meditate, seek guidance from other beings, and restore that which is natural. There is no need for gods who judge you on their own whims and perspectives, so long as you remember your part in nature."

"Let this be a test. Act against your nature."

The silhouettes stay motionless as Olga speaks.
"We did not give up our souls."
"Nor were they taken."
"They were poisoned."
"Beautiful poison."
"We must consume, we have no choice."
"Delicious blood."
"We will remember nature."
"If the sweet pony is trustworthy."

They set up a light source behind them in order to make getting a good look at them difficult. All you can see is that they are both unicorns.
"Just something the master had some food make."
"When he finished we played with him until he broke."
"Then we ate."
"We won't play with you."
"Or break you."
"Put down your spear."

"Alright.." I set my spear down nervously, and walk toward them.

"Remember.. you are a part of nature, progenitor of the gods, life and death. It lies within, in the thoughts you think, in the magic that you wield, in everything you sense… nothing shall stop you so long as you have will enough.

"This your chance! Prove that your free will persists!"

"Nothing shall stop us?"
"Tirek offers us servitude."
"But nature offers power?"
"Nature is everywhere."
"So nature must have power."
"And we are part of nature."
"Nothing shall stop us."
"Thank you."

They look at each other as you approach. As you get closer you can see them more clearly. The stallion has a blueish coat with a greenish mane and the mare has the opposite. All of their colors look faded and sickly. Once you are close enough to see the details on their faces they each hold up a hoof to stop you.

"That is close enough."
"Trust must go both ways."

They lick their lips and walk forwards until you are between them.

"We need to tell you."
"We have never fed without breaking a toy."
"You will be the first we haven't broken."
"We hope."

They bare their fangs and strike.

Rolled 6 = 6

"Gahh!" I really want to trust them.. "Be careful please, If you kill me here nothing will stop my friends from hunting you. I really wish you to have a life of freedom.." I stay as still as possible for them.

The next thing you know you are on the wet ground looking up at them. They both wipe their mouths off and speak.
"We were right."
"You were sweet."
"And the goat was right."
"We are strong."
"Rest with your friends and recover."
"We will still fight you."
"But there are loopholes."
"Try not to lets us kill any of you."
"And do the same for us."

They pick you up with their magic and float you back towards the midpoint. Once you are there they pull the lever by a few notches and raise the gates between you and them while lowering the gates between you and the others.

"Thank you."
"Thank you."

"They did not fully resist their natures, but they did leave you relatively unharmed. I do wonder what they truly wish."

Quickly run over to her and use heal

"Andelia!!! Tu es fou!"

Start pacing around in panic

"Vhy are you so irresponsible!? You scared me to death!"

"Ah.. I understand. You're somehow forced to obey his commands. " Feeling a little tired I look for my spear.
"Well, I think they want to be free.."

Rolled 8 = 8

Rolled 5 = 5

"It was the only way to gain them as an ally in this. We don't need to kill them now. "

"We'll just have to see how they are once we're done purging their master of power. In the meantime, stay safe."

Get out my prayer book and look for anything on cleansing vampires.

Rolled 4 = 4

I look at her for a moment, my expression softening again.

"Right… You just vanted ze best for zem. To save zem… You are a better pony tzen I am, Andi."

Rolled 3 = 3

There is no response as the other two gates slide upwards and the false walls close. After a few minutes all four walls lower again.

You can see it in the middle of the hallway.

The puncture wounds in her neck close and she feels stronger.

There is a small advertisement for a book on vampire slaying at the back of your prayer book.

"Indeed, as I said, you are very kind. Should you ever need the help of one with my skills I would be happy to assist."

Bless Andelia.

Rolled 2 = 2

You bless her in the traditional goat way: with a headbutt.

I chuckle a little. "Ah, Mirabee, I'm no better than any pony. I was just lucky to make a connection with them, and that they still had reason."

I get up and get my spear back.

"Vell, I am 100 pour cent behind you. Sorry for doubting you before. And for leaving you 'hanging' earlier like you Equestrians say."

I stagger backwards a bit from the headbutt. "Oh, thanks.. I'll certainly come to you first Olga for spiritual advice." I rub my head a little checking if there is a bump.

"Don't worry about it. You were passed out from all that cleaning earlier."
rolling for this >>117389

Rolled 9 = 9

There is just a small bump.

Previously on Crypt Quest the party left the lich's room and ventured downwards. Beneath his room they found a flooded chamber with a few half eaten corpses floating in the water. The party was confronted by two mysterious voices, which were revealed by Dreamkicker to be two ponies standing on the ceiling. When they realized that they were discovered they raised a few of the corpses and left the room. Once the party had put down the corpses they navigated around a trap in the center of the room and checked out a hallway. The party found signs of a trap in the hall and saw a level with one of them pulled, sealing them in the room. At the same time as this, Olga botched a prayer an raised all five corpses in the room, turning them hostile. Once the corpses were again laid to rest the party started to fool around, attracting the attention of the twins. After a bit of banter and talking Andelia convinced them to let them pass, and Olga convinced them to give nature worship a chance. To seal the deal the Twins let Andelia through the hall, fed, and returned her to the group. Andelia was then healed by Mirabelle.

The party stands in a dank, dark room. The water comes up to their knees and continues down the hallway they are standing outside of. There is no sign of the Twins.

"We will need to follow them, their master would want them recalled."

"I agree"

I inspect Andelia to see if the feeding did anything to her

Rolled 10 = 10

"Are you sure about that?"

That seems most likely, unless there is another way to move forward?

"That's a good idea.."

"Explain to me why we're trusting vampires? Vampires whose master we plan on killing?"

After being healed by Mirabelle both her body and soul look healthy.

"Yeah… even I think that's a bad idea!"

"A duty of necromancers in my land is to be guide of lost souls. If they truly wish to be rid of their curse, then I must give them their aid. Besides, it seems they have little favour for their master either."

"Well you look okay. I'm still watching you… again"
I prod her
which metal things are down?

Rolled 4 = 4

"They aren't evil, they are being controlled by their master. He took their souls without permission, the same could easily happen to any of us-" I think back to what the twins said to me earlier. He likes pairs. Maybe you and baldy butt. rolling to see how embarrassed I get.

Rolled 8 = 8

"exactly, they want to be free, and I believe them"

"Maybe they are pretending."

"If that is true, we we simply strike them down as well."

All the metal things are down.

You blush a little bit, but your coat hides it. Besides, it's far more likely he would go after Pomelo and Happyhorn.

"Yea, it's not like they're that much of a threat"

"Let's start going after those weirdos! Anyone see where they ran off to?"

I look at Mushu with sad eyes. "I don't believe that, they had real emotion in their voices, and they didn't hurt me all. I trust that they don't want to be here anymore. "

I sigh
"Ok, only because you trust them."

"Feel free to strike them down should they turn out to be foul beasts after all. I will not stand by them if they don't want salvation."

"Yes, it's not as if vampires are known for their powers of charm and manipulation."

"It's a basic tenet of strategy that it's easier to destroy an enemy piecemeal rather than as a concentrated force.
"Furthermore, don't underestimate these creatures. They've managed to cow a lich into submission."

"…I guess I'll take your word."

just to be clear I'm making that face again

I just stand and think about what a great smile Dreamy has

"Thank you, for trusting me on this."
"Dreamkicker.. Just promise me you won't try kill them unless they to ill us. I won't break my word to them because you're paranoid." I stand straight up looking at his horn, and ignoring the cute face.

"That doesn't meant they CANT be honest"

"True. But I cannot abandon those who may wish to save themselves."

I walk to the door on the other side of the room and knock on it.
"Hello? Bloodsucky creeps are you in there?"

Rolled 10 = 10

>Just promise me you won't try kill them unless they to ill us
"I won't act unless we act together."

"That's not much of an argument."

"Then let's hope your good faith doesn't doom us."

Before you finish passing through the hall a pony shape drops down from the ceiling and pulls the lever visible from the party's end of the hall. the farthest metal slab rises from the water and a small roll of paper is pushed through.

"Wonderful work."

"I will not hesitate to destroy them if they show to will to help themselves, you can at least be assured."

"I trust your senses."

"What's that?"
Grab and inspect that paper

Rolled 2 = 2

"Give that to someone more versed in letters Pommy!"

"Lemme see that Pommy!"
I take it from him.

Rolled 3 = 3

"I know my letters! Here's one for you: P, for BE QUIET I CAN READ"

You take the piece of paper out of the water, but before you can shove the tasty looking piece of paper into your mouth…

You grab it from him. The rolled up piece of paper is soaked from where it landed in the water.

"Guys please."

"You might want a blessing by eating that paper, but you'll need holy paper for that!"

"Aww… what's on it Bessy?"

I pray for some delicious holy paper to appear

Rolled 10 = 10

"Would someone just read the paper? Preferably someone who can read"

"Can you read it Bessy?" I look around for something useful while she works on that.

Rolled 10 = 10

"It's all wet!"
I try to read it anyways.

Rolled 7 = 7

A bright pink with of paper with pictures of blue and yellow balloons on it appears in your mouth. It looks like an invitation to a party, but there is no writing on it. It tastes sugary.

You spot a small vial under the water. When you pick it up and look more closely you can see that it is filled with a clear liquid, and that its stopper has a red cross painted on it.

The writing only the paper is a messy scrawl that was made worse by the water, but you manage to read most of it.
Slow too slow too long go fast Master wakes up soon plan…..hunting…good luck.
There is a small, odd symbol beneath the writing. As soon as you glance at it the paper crumbles into dust.

"Did you read it Bessy?"

"I think they want us to hurry up… they said their Master is waking up soon."

"Oho! Mind sharing some of that paper, child?"

Where is everyone right now?

"Neat! I wonder if it holy water." carry it with me.
"Well, lets go then!" I say urgently, I open the door and go through.

"Then let's stop ogling one another and hurry up."

the hallway room that you drew a map for last time?

"Thanfs Pankah!"

"Soon? Let's get going then!"
Give the room a quick look over. All the false walls went down right?

"I don't think you want any. It all appeared in my mouth!"

I think we're all together in the middleish area?

Rolled 7 = 7

"Then we must go now! "

Pray for the spirit in the Beholder to be strengthened.

Rolled 7 = 7

With everyone else.

Unless you mean IRL, in which case I am at my home.

With the party.

with the party

The false walls are in place, acting as real walls.

The spirit in your beholder seems stronger, but the body doesn't change.

There is a loud grinding and clanking as the first and third walls rise like the fourth one did. False walls one and three lift into the ceiling.

Rolled 1, 1, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1 = 8

Look around with see-'ems.

Rolled 6 + 2 = 8

Locate all up in this!

Rolled 2 = 2

Try to locate.

Rolled 1 = 1

Looks like its time to locate

Rolled 2 = 2

Investigating door number 3.

Rolled 6 = 6

I wait for whatever that roll was for and chew my paper

Beholder and I search for mechanisms to move the walls.

Rolled 6, 4 = 10

Pomelo is trapped by the now open third false wall. The rest of the party is trapped by the first false wall.

"So loud."
"So slow."
"Master is awake now."
"He says he can deal with you."
"He will watch."
"And later get snacks."
"Go out and get snacks."
"Part of the trap broke."
"Only two groups instead of three."
"Such a tiny second group."
"All by himself."
"Lonely cute goat."
"We can get you later."
"Too easy right now."

You can see the hallway revealed by the false wall make a sharp right turn up ahead. There is no sign of any trap in the hall.

You cannot spot your little goat friend.

You stick your head underwater and try breathing.

The rising metal wall bumped against your helmet and spun it around. It is now on backwards and you cannot see.

It is thick metal with a small, meshed window in the center of it. The window is too small to crawl through.

The beholder taps you on the back with an eyestalk and points out the meshed window on the fourth wall at the lever that controls everything in the hallway. The levers handle is missing.

I RAM the wall! I gotta get my buddy back!

Rolled 5 = 5

I try to fix my helmet whilst stumbling around

Rolled 4 = 4

Pull my head out the water
"This isnt working."

Investigate the third wall's mechanism.

Rolled 7 + 2 = 9

"Bessy! D-Dreamy!"
I try to bash through the wall horns first. Goat too incredibly manly and strong for this to not work

Rolled 3 = 3

"Fuuu… What are you all doing?!" I use roots on the false wall 1 to remove it from our path. "Nature, guide my hooves!"

Rolled 2 = 2

File: 1347766427456.png (17.45 KB, 819x700, hall 3.png)

The is not enough room for you to put any strength behind your charge, but you manage to not hurt yourself.

Your helmet is stuck.

The mechanism is connected to the switch. The move the wall you would have to use the switch.

You bounce off the wall and give yourself a bad headache.

The roots cannot break through the stone floor.

"What are they waiting for?"
"Go on."
"Entertain the Master."
"Play with the broken toys."
"Or the broken toys can play with you."
"No room for them to play here."
"Room for a bath."
"A bloodbath."
"Tasty blood."

I rub my head
"Guess There's no other way but forward…"
I start walking down the now open way, searching for traps as I do

Rolled 1 = 1

"would someone please help me with this? It's stuck."

"Well, maybe the halls will meet up at the end.." I say hopefully, but everyone can tell I don't think so. In any case I go forward down the hall.

Rolled 7 = 7

Try using my staff to substitute for the lever handle.

Rolled 8 = 8

No! Again!
Break that damn wall down!

Rolled 2 = 2

Tiger stance the wall.

Rolled 6 + 2 = 8

"Pomelo! What happened?!"

"Those walls went up and now we're over here and the others aren't! And since it's not budging I think gonna try to find a way to them through the path in front of us"

"Hey, I could use some help over here, I can't fix my helmet"

You trip on an uneven floor stone and trip, soaking yourself in foul smelling water.

You walk down the hallway and look around the curve. The hall stretches a bit further before opening into a room. YOu are standing at the curve in the hallway.

There is a wall, the rest of the hall, and a room separating you from the lever.

You give yourself a headache this time.

You scuff up the metal wall a little bit. Water metal it is made from is harder than silver.

"come on.." I just drag him with me while he struggles with it..

"Wait, hold on…"

I call out to my spider. Is it nearby!?

"Guh! Gross…"
I get up and keep walking and searching

Rolled 5 = 5

You have it with you.

"This isnt working."

>Water metal it is made from is harder than silver.
Maybe you should stop playing Dawn of War and focus on DM'ing Campfire

I guess I start making my way down to where Andy went.

"Do we really want to be split up? Let's try one more…"

Heat ray on false wall 3.

Rolled 7 = 7

I try to fix my helmet again

Rolled 3 = 3

"What's the hold up now? The twins told us to hurry." I help Korrin with his helm. "Your god is laughing at you now."

Rolled 8 = 8

"Heeey, buddy! Okay, let's go exploring."

"Pomelo! Maybe you should consider staying put until we reach you."

File: 1347767692701.png (61.58 KB, 819x700, third level.png)

You get to the end of the hallway and look into the room. It is small and flooded just like the hallway. The walls are stone and there is a thick, metal slab in the middle of the wall on the right that is probably covering a door. You can see a few ponies milling around in one of the corners on the other side of the room.

The red beam burns a hole through the wall approximately half the size of your hoof in diameter.

It's still stuck…

But you are able to fix it for him.

"Do you wanna talk to them? I sure don't…"

Locate on the slab.

Rolled 3 + 2 = 5

"Happyhorn, I think we have company…"
Carefully look at the ponies from a distance

Rolled 8 = 8

"We could try attacking the weak point near the hole to break the wall down, or move on."

"Lets move on."

I shake my head. "Let keep moving.." I round the corner, being wary of any traps.

Rolled 7 = 7

"Thanks Andy"
I look around, inspecting further down the hallway

Rolled 7 = 7

"Let's give it a try. Maybe Bessy could lead the charge."

"how about we just go down the hallway instead of throwing our members at walls?"

I give Korrin a confused and angry look. "I thought you liked throwing ponies into walls?"

File: 1347768499027.png (17.73 KB, 819x700, third level 2.png)

The thick slab is flush with with the wall and has no opening in it like the ones in the hallway did.

There are five of them. A few of them are lying down in the water while others are standing around. They occasionally twitch or scratch at bald patches on their pale, mangy coats. None of them have seen you yet.

Both of you carefully watch for traps as you round the bend and walk down the hallway. Both of you reach the end and look into a small, dark, flooded room. The walls are all stone and the only sign of a second exit is a slab of metal on the left wall. In the far right corner there is a large pile of ponies.

"Do you see any way to get out of here? Maybe these ponies know. Should we ask?"

Are the ponies alive?

I follow Andy into the room.

Rolled 4 = 4

Rush forward into the flooded room, scan the pile of ponies.

Rolled 4 + 2 = 6

"Maybe…that slab is sure stuck to the wall after all."

I cautiously approach the ponies and observe them.

I ignore this
"I think there's an exit over there"
I point toward the metal slab

You would have to roll to find out.

You might want to roll.

Rolling for that.

Rolled 10 = 10

I search a lever of some kind first

Rolled 2 = 2

Observe them carefully.

Rolled 1 = 1

Rolled 10 = 10

I examine the room for a way to open the metal slab. "that must be the way out.."

Rolled 5 = 5

You can see a metal slab set into the left wall, a lot of stagnant water on the ground that comes up to your knees, and the thick stone walls and ceiling.

One of the ponies in the pile twitches.

You can see that there are fifteen ponies in the pile. Each of their necks has at least one set of bite barks. Their eyes are large, milky white pools and their mouths are full of needle sharp fangs and bits of meat.

You cannot find a lever.

You poke one of the ponies and yell at it, demanding it tell you about itself. The pile of ponies comes alive like an anthill and they each begin to screech and howl.
Everyone but Pomelo and Happyhorn roll for initiative and remember to tell me what your attack is.

You can see that all of their eyes are large and white. Each one has a mouth full of needley fangs and a pair of puncture wounds on their neck. None of them notice you standing there.

You cannot find anything that can open the slab.

Crippling Shot!

Rolled 2 + 2 = 4

Crossbow bolt to the face — the old standby

Rolled 4 + 1 = 5

"They all have the neck marks and fangs…I don't really think we should talk to them."

"Blast it, victims…"

Flame ray and exhaust ray on separate ones.

Rolled 1, 8 = 9

Tiger stance!

Rolled 2 + 2 = 4

I headbutt into the ponies slamming into them

Rolled 3 = 3

"Yeah, good idea…"
Carefully look again for a way to open up that slab

Rolled 4 = 4

Use roots on the vampire ponies. "Nature, if can protect us this once.."

Rolled 5 = 5

One of them leaps off the top of the pile and lands on your back. It starts chewing on you, but your thick coat means the fangs only scratch you.

Your bolt hits it in the nose causing it to try and break off its attack. Unfortunately the water causes it it trip and crash into you. Both of you are still standing.

Your beholder's final eyestalk catches fire and withers away. The other stalk fires a blue ray that hits one of the ponies and causes it to collapse.

The pony grabs one of your hooves and starts to chew on your leg.

The water keeps you from moving any faster than a walk in your extremely heavy armor. A few of the ponies jump on top of you and start trying to pull your armor off.

You bang on the slab a few times, hoping that someone on the other side will open it. The five ponies in the room look around with blind eyes.

Your roots snag one, but another one lands next to you and starts beating on you with its hooves.

Hit the collapsed pony with my silver staff! Slow ray on another!

Rolled 7, 2 = 9

I try to shake them off

Rolled 3 = 3

Fend it off with my sliver spear. "Back!"

Rolled 1 = 1

"H-hey! Be careful!"

Shake it off and throw it at something else! Crippling Shot again!

Rolled 10 + 2 = 12

Use tiger stance again.

Rolled 2 + 2 = 4

Stab it in the face

Rolled 7 = 7

I silently pray for guidance on this slab

Rolled 8 = 8

You savagely beat the fallen pony with your staff, causing a few of its bones to break. The pony your behold was aiming at jumps out of the way while another one jumps on top of your beholder and start tearing into it.

A few more jump on, forcing you down into the water.
Roll to get them off of you.

It remembers its teeth and bites you before you can stab it with your spear. Unlike when the twins bit you, this actually hurts. Biting down hard, it yanks its head back and flips you over into the water. You are now Helpless.

You grab it by one of its legs and can hear the bones snap. You then throw it into a small group of ponies and knock them all over like bowling pins.

It grabs your other leg and starts chewing on it instead. The amount of pain is making it hard to stand.

You stab its cheek and your blade comes out the bottom of its jaw. The thing screams like a wounded animal and tries to break free.

Pomelomeloy? Is that you? It's hard to hear you down there, but I think you just have to wait for a b-

All five of the ponies are looking around for the source of the voices now. Two voices speak inside your heads.
You two together.
Despite the odds.
Not fighting our broken toys.
So boring.
Not playing with each other.
Very boring.
But we can keep you.
Master said so.
If other things don't happen.
We didn't tell him about other things.
It was hard to stay quiet.
But we did.
We are strong.

Tries to lift them off of me

Rolled 5 + 2 = 7

Marksman Shot now!

Rolled 7 = 7

I stay very still and give Happyhorn a scared look

"Ow! I can't taste that sweet.."

rolling to get up.

Rolled 4 = 4

"Defile not the sacred shell of a blessed spirit! "
Beat the vampire attacking my Beholder.

Rolled 8 = 8

Back off while it's stunned and finish the zombie off with my crossbow.

Rolled 4 + 1 = 5

Try again.

Rolled 9 + 2 = 11

I exchange looks with her as I climb back up on my spider. As I reach the top, I pat next to me and point up.

"Someone Help me?"

I nod and climb on too
Pomelo is a he!

I direct the spider up to the ceiling and to web the slab off the wall.

Rolled 1 = 1

You draw on your strength and stand up; throwing most of them off you and bringing your head out of the water so that you can breath again. There is still one on your back. It is banging on your armor with a piece of rock.

Your load a silver coated iron nugget into your sling and shoot it into the pile. It strikes one of the ponies in the head and smashes bone as it sinks into its flesh.

It shakes its head back and forth a few times before yanking its head back. A chunk of your flesh comes with it.

You lay into the thing attacking your minion and snap a few ribs before it jumps off.

It hits you in the face while trying to get away, but you back up and draw your crossbow.

You pull it close and headbutt it again and again until its face is just bloody pulp. It falls limp in your hooves.

The two of you climb up on top of your spider while the ponies keep looking around.
Sitting together.
How cute.
Except for the spider.
What a big spider.
We should come up with games they can play with the spider.

The spider crawl up onto the roof. The two of you, having no way to stay attached, fall off into the water. You are both Helpless and the five ponies are starting to walk towards your location. The Twins are laughing in your heads.

I carefully try to get up

Rolled 6 = 6

"I said get off!"
I try to get rid of the last one on me

Rolled 9 = 9

Exhaust ray and beat into the nearest vampire.

Rolled 3, 5 = 8

I cry out in pain, and reel backwards slathering a hastily prepared paste onto the wound. (used Natural remedy)

Rolled 3 = 3

It's shooting time

Rolled 2 + 1 = 3

I do as well, grumpily staring at my thrall.

Rolled 3 = 3

Use natural remedy on Andelia

Rolled 4 = 4

Marksman Shot at the pony on Andy!

Rolled 2 = 2

You shake your head a few times and knock it off with one of your helmet's horns. The horn also gives it a nasty cut.

Another vampire jumps onto your beholder before it can fire and the vampire that you were just attacking bucks you.

Your unsteady hooves drop the paste into the water. The pony finishes chewing its mouthful, then swallows and tears off another chunk of your flesh.

One of the ponies tackles you before you can get to Andelia. You are now Helpless.

Another pony jumps onto your back and starts gnawing on you. Unlike the last one this one gets past your coat.

Pomelo stands up, and Happyhorn's minion uses a long leg to help him stand. The ponies are getting closer.Remember that your spider gives you a +2 to getting up from Helpless and the others a +1 if you order it to help them stand.
Will they fight?
The others are fighting.
The fight is young.
Like the night.
Poor tasty pony.
Too tasty for her own good.
Snacks soon.
We will have you all to ourselves.

I hop back up on the spider and give Happyhorn an urgent look

Try to get up.

Rolled 8 = 8

Grab it and throw it at another one of the vampire ponies! Marksman Shot!

Rolled 4 = 4

I try a bear bash on the one attacking me.

Rolled 2 = 2

I nod and hop back up, then try the same tactic as before.

Rolled 3 = 3

Cauterising ray on the vampire attacking my beholder, continue smacking away at the vampire attacking me.

Rolled 5, 10 = 15

I help andellia out with the vampires on her, slamming into them

Rolled 2 = 2

Shoot at the zombie attacking Bessy.

Rolled 5 + 1 = 6

Before it has a chance to make a meal out of you you push it off and stand back up.

Another one sneaks up behind you and bites your leg. You try to kick it off but slip and fall over. You are now Helpless.

You try to strike at the one attacking you, but lower your defenses and allow two more to get close. One rips a large chunk of flesh out of your belly and the other tears out a large part of your neck. You cannot feel any pain, but you feel almost as cold as you felt in the mirror. It is hard to see anything, but the water around you is stained red.

Your beholder cannot reach the one attack it, but the ghoul has to keep moving around to avoid the beam. You beat the one attacking you over and over again until its blood has turned your staff black and the pony floats in the water in front of you, dead.

The vampire that was struck by your horn is wounded, not dead. It grabs your helmet and starts trying to pull it off.

Your bolt hits one of them in the side and forces it back with a chunk of flesh in its mouth. There are still two others near her.

The two of you jump and are caught by the upside down spider. The noise you make alert the ponies and they swarm the spot where you just were, hissing and snarling.
Hanging by a thread.
Your sweet friend is hanging by a thread too.
She spilled all her blood.
Sweet blood wasted
Master is having fun watching.
So are we.
He is leaving to get snacks soon.
He wants us to fight with you while he's gone.
If we fight fast we can play.

Pick off another one of the zombies around Bessy.

Rolled 4 + 1 = 5

"Child! You will not fall here!"
Run over and beat away the enemies near Andelia, while my Beholder continues trying to wound the ghoul

Rolled 4, 6 = 10

shake off the vampire and slam into the nearest one

Rolled 5 = 5

Staying still. Shutting up.

I try to use natural remedy, holding on the the thoughts of Mirabelle and the twin vampires.

Rolled 8 = 8

Protect Andelia, tiger stance the monster.

Rolled 3 + 2 = 5

Yank that slab off, spidey.

Rolled 8 = 8

can I pretty please have +2 on that?

Marksman Shot! Again!
I gotta find Pommy!

Rolled 3 = 3

Change that to 'I get up'.

You stick another bolt into a ghoul attacking Andelia, but it doesn't notice as it keeps trying to bite her. Another ghoul picks up a chunk of stone from underwater and throws it at you. The stone bounces off and leaves a bruise.

One of them bucks you and hits you in the face. Your beholder manages to hit the pony chewing on it, setting it on fire and sending it running.

You crush the pony up against the wall. It is still on you.

Despite the fact that you are Helpless and being eaten alive, you mix together a little something and drink it. You can feel your heart start to beat slower and your blood run thicker in your veins.

On of the ponies tries to intercept you and gets hit instead.

Your spider shoots the slab with some web and pulls. A bit of rock falls from the cieling, but the slab doesn't seem to budge.

You can't see the pony, but you can feel it tear some of your flesh off.

All of the ponies in each room suddenly go still. After a second all of them that are still alive begin to hiss and convulse, but move away from the parties and the slabs. Both slabs slide open, but Pomelo's slab ahs a bit of trouble thanks to being pulled slightly out of alignment.

Ignore that one and attack the one chewing Andelia.

Rolled 8 + 2 = 10

Back up and slam it again

Rolled 4 = 4

I nudge Happyhorn and shake my head
"Just wait"

I nod and hunker down on the spider.

Shoot the one gnawing on Bessy.

Rolled 5 + 1 = 6

I concentrate on Mirabelle and seeing those twins get freed.

I give as nasty a glare as an adorable boofy can to the ponies, then look at the slabs that are opening. Can I tell which one Pommy is behind?

I point to the now open slab and look at Happyhorn
"Have it walk us through"

I'll just change my action to check the slabs.

Rolled 9 = 9

I shrug and nudge it forward.

-And if I can, I try to help it open! I gotta get to Pommy!
"Hey! Pommy! Can you hear me?"

Rolled 10 = 10

I completely forget about any freaky ponies upon hearing Bessy's voice

File: 1347776090899.png (12.68 KB, 819x700, third level 3.png)

You fly over to one of the ponies and snap its neck.

You nearly trip over a sunken floor tile.

You keep lying in the water and think of your friend and the two vampires while you slowly bleed out.

You only saw one slab open.

They start throwing rocks at you and your beholder.

So you check the slab instead. It has sunken down into the floor, revealing a dark hallway behind it.

Your spider silently crawls forwards across the ceiling and into the hallway behind the slab. You and Pomelo can see the hallway open up into another room ahead.

The largest group (not Pomelo and Happyhorn) hear the Twins inside their heads.
Move quickly.
Stop breaking our broken toys.
Time is short while the Master is gone.

You can faintly hear Bessy's voice. It sounds like it is coming from somewhere beyond the room in front of you.

Aww, I get nothing for that 10?

Use natural remedu on Andelia.

Rolled 10 = 10

I slam the zompire again

Rolled 2 = 2

I bop him on the head.

I hop off the spider and go through, keeping an eye out for anything funny

Rolled 8 = 8

Rolling to try and save myself.

Rolled 5 = 5

Go over to one of the ded ponies.

"You, cursed being now free, your saviours seek your knowledge."

Rolled 4 + 2 = 6

I guess I go through the slab that opened.

Rolled 6 = 6

You mix something up for her and make her swallow it. Her missing flesh starts to grow back, but at a very slow pace.

You trip and your heavy armor carries you to the floor. You are now Helpless and your head is underwater.

You drop off the spider and go into the dark room. Without a source of light you cannot see anything.

You slowly, painfully stand up.

You walk down the hallway and into the next room. You lamp light it up and shows that it is much like the others, except there is an opening to your left and your right. More importantly, Pomelo is here.

The pony shudders as you command it, and opens its eyes.
It starts to scream.
Horrible, terrified, pained screams.
The only time the screaming stops is when it draws more air into its lungs.
The screams go horse and raged as bits of its throat start cracking a peeling away from the force of its yelling.

"Can you walk by yourself Andelia?"

I run over and grab him into a tight hug.

Follow Bessy.

"Bessy! Imsogladyoureheretherewerefreakyponiesandimissedyousosomuch!"
We bro hugs now

I grumble and follow through on my spider, staying up on the ceiling.

"Ugh.. I don't feel well.. Thank you for helping me." I try taking a step forward. and look at what Olga is doing.. "please don't wake them again.."

Rolled 1 = 1

I try to get up, at least my head

Rolled 5 = 5

Try to help her.

Rolled 9 = 9

Awww yeah.
"Are you alright Andy? Do you wanna ride on my back?"

"That would be great Bessy, I don't think I am bleeding anymore, but you might want to wipe me off first.. wouldn't want your fur to get matted up.."

Quickly cut off the commune. This was enough.

"You should help the chaotic one, he's still down.."

I let Pommy out of the hug, walk over and toss Andy up on my back!
"S'not like I haven't gotten worse on my fur! Where to now?

Use nature remedy on him.

Rolled 10 = 10

"Do it! She's very comfy!"
I run down to where Korrin is and try to help him up

Rolled 3 = 3

The two of you follow through and can see everything that Bessy saw.

You fall flat on your face, but >>118287 picks you up and carries you to the next room.

You stand up and follow them.

You remove your hoof and the pony falls limp and silent, but the look of terror remains on its face. You join the others in the next room.

You give him something to take away his bruises.

He is already up.

The sound of ponies walking can be heard from the room that Bessy and the others just came from, then the sound of voices speaking to the party.
"Time is short before the Master gets back."
"If any of you want to ask questions do it now."
"There are still things that need doing."

"thanks for that, now where are we headed?"

Stay in silence.

"Ah, its good to see you twins, I'd like to know your names."

I take a moment to examine the vial I found earlier. What it is?

Rolled 7 = 7

I go back to where Bessy is
"Who is 'the master'? And more importantly why do you wanna stick me with Happyhorn? I'm allergic to girl germs!"

"We had names."
"When we were ponies."
"We can't remember our names."
"We almost can't remember being ponies."
"We are twins."
"We are the Twins."

It looks like a health potion.

"The Master is the Master."
"He found us."
"He made us."
"He is like a father."
"He keeps us safe and fed."
"He teaches us skills and secrets."
"Sad to see him go."
"We will miss him."
"Miss the food and shelter more."
"You and the not-as-cute goat are a good pair."
"Like us."
"That's why the master chose us."
"You look cute."
"And she looks fun."
"All four of us will have fun together."
"If you fail."

"Oh, I see. Can you tell us anything that will help us free you from him?"

"Tell us something useful, 'twins.' How many vampires are in here, and where are they located?"

Rolled 10 = 10

"I don't even know her! She isn't even a real her!"
I huff
"Anyway where is your master at?"

"You can't take Pommy from me though! He's my best buddy!"
I give them a sad look.
"And that too! Where's your master?"

"Hey! Some thanks!"

I shudder.

"That doesn't sound like much fun at all."

"But you wished for freedom, did you not? Prove it, and help us."

"I didn't mean anything by it!"
I give Happyhorn a hover hoof hug

"Kill him."
"Kill the Master."
"If he dies we are free."
"We cannot let you kill him."
"But there is a loophole."

"Just us."
"And the Master."
"Did he mean threats?"
"He should have said so."
"Tell him anyways."
"There are ghouls."
"All of them are in here with us now."
"We think this is all."
"He may have others."

"Not a real her?"
"Was it the arch?"
"We had fun with the arch."
"Fun for days and days."
"So many ways to have fun with the arch."
"Some of our toys had fun with us and the arch."
"The Master is out."
"Grabbing some snacks in town."
"One for each of us and himself."
"He thinks most of you will be the meal."

"You don't like him?"
"Maybe you will."
"Maybe it won't matter."

"Like a foal."
"It's not right to have fun with a foal."
"But he isn't a foal."
"Maybe just simple?"

"Can we just go to your master to kill him?"

"Or we wait and ambush him."

"Please, can you at least give us a hint to the loop hole? We don't want to have to hurt you."

Rolled 9 = 9

"THAT ARCH WASN'T FUN! And what's the loopyhole?"

"Loophole? Whaddya mean?"

"Maybe…I don't know yet, okay!"

"That is the plan."
"Go to the lair."
"And kill him when he gets back."
"If you are too slow."
"Kill him when you get there."

"We can tell."
"We have to try to save the Master."
"But if we cannot get to him."
"If we are trapped."
"It would take us a long time to help him."
"Maybe too long."
"Maybe if we were trapped here."
"Trapped once none of you want to talk with us anymore."

"The arch was very fun."
"Very fun."
"You are a cute goat."
"Maybe a cuter girl goat."

"You will know."
"If you fail."
"We will teach you."
"Teach you to have fun."

"Thank you."

"Alright, lets go to the lair and wait.." I go when everyone does.

"Lay off the goat."

"If they're trapped once we leave, then let's go."

Leave the room.

"Hey! Quit teasing Pommy!"
I stick my tongue out at them.
"Thanks for the information though."
I leave the room with everyone else.

I stick my tongue out at them
"Yeah these two are making me upset!"
Follow Dreamkicker

"You must trap us."
"There is a lever."
"Pull it and we are stuck."
"Stuck until the ghouls can dig around the slab."
"We can tell you where it is."
"If the others don't have more questions."

"Thank you."
"For you trust."
"Your ideas."
"Your blood."
"Sweet blood."
"Thank you."

"Well, okay, the arch was kinda fun, and so is the goat…"

I grumble and turn around.

"Where is the lever then?"

"I hope we meet again, sweet twins. I hope you find a name. A name of your own." with a tear in my eye I use roots to close the opening once everyone is through.

Rolled 9 = 9

"Well lets find this 'master'"

"Remember, you need no one but yourselves to save you. Should you need help, you need only ask."

"We don't want to."
"He is fun to tease."
"You are wooly."
"You look warm."
"You would be a good blanket."
"If the Master wins."

"Don't be upset."
"Unless you are cuter when you are upset."
"Are you?"

"She learns fast."
"This is good."
"She can help us teach the cute goat."
"If the Master wins."

"Under the water."
"To the right of the doorway."
"Pull it."

"We will meet after you kill the master."
"And maybe after again after that."
"We have a name."
"We are the Twins."
Your roots fill the tunnel.
"Very clever."
"But they are brittle."
"Can be chewed through."
"Pull the lever."

"We don't need saving."
"We don't need freeing."
"But we want freedom."
"We think we want it."

"Just show us the switch."

"You leave Bessy alone! She's not your blanket"
I hop up on Bessy's back and hug her.
"Let's get going away from these weirdos"

am I still hurt at all?
I reach down and pull the lever.

They said its next to the door in the water..

"A- A blanket?…"
I start shaking.
-but immediately stop when Pommy jumps on my back.
"Yeah, let's!"

Well then let's go do that.

crazy voice
"Pull the lever!"

"We said where the lever was."
"You have a small brain."
"But a nice butt."
"Just the right amount of muscle."
"It looks good without the hair."
"We almost hope the Master wins."
"We will try not to break you."
"At least not too soon."

"Not yet."
"You have lots of blood."
"You would feed the goats."
"And we would feed you grass."
"Once you finally ran out."
"Then you would be a blanket."
"The rest of you food for the ghouls."
"If the Master wins."

"For now."
You pull the lever and the metal slab clanks and groans as it rises up and seals the room off.

>"You have a small brain."

Rolled 4 = 4

"Yeah well go fuck yourself"
"And you have a small chance of leaving here alive."
"At least I'm not a blood-sucking parasite."

"Stop trying to harass the twins Dreamkicker!" I scowl at him.

"What're you growling about? They said you had a nice butt!"

"You're a little sensitive Dreams, let it go"
