Our heroes are on the last leg of their journey, they have managed to rescue Lady Chiranna from the grasp of her formal loyalties, though she is not a complete convert, the party has show her the light and love they are capable of. They decided to try and save Chiranna's life by taking her to the final location so they might help her reverse what has been done. Five of the elements have already been bonded to Chirranna through use of tattooed runes, and a very dangerous spell.

The rumors of Tilo's strength are growing more present in the minds of the party, his special armor that is said to deflect any sword, arrow or spell, his mighty collection of new priestesses that supply him with healing, and his determined headstrong nature leading this force.

The party is just east of the final location, the "Temple of Dreams", and further to the east is Talon Fort, where an army of both griffon and bat pony has been growing in strength.

"Well Chiranna, are you ready?"

"We should probably get going before the rest of the bats realize she's missing."

Stand back with a mask on and try not to draw too much attention to myself.

"Yeah, we probably should hurry."

File: 1355108654097.png (17.62 KB, 665x460, LocationsUpdated.png)

for reference, I have moved your party in between the "final location" dot and the "talon fort" dot.

"Well.. charge head on? Or shall we stop back by the fort for reinforcements? We may need all the help we can get against Tilo…"

Chiranna looks distantly at the clouded horizon "I'm as ready as I'll ever be. I only hope we make the right choice. Are we going to see Chiro first or go to the Temple and cleanse me?"

"Maybe we should go get Chiro…"

"I think… we should move forward as quickly as we can. Going back is just going to give them time to prepare, but maybe they won't expect us if we charge ahead."

"Would going to the Temple help you any? Can it wait?"

"It is very likely that they will use the runes to harm Chiranna or the operation in some way. She needs to be cleansed if you want to take her."

Noxx, How about this I'm giving you a small parchment from Chiro. It states that he is nearby, with the combined forces of Talon fort at a moment's call. It also says he has sent you to see that party is assured of their support if they need it. You were requested to deliver the note if you saw it fit.
She looks surprised at you. "Well, it can wait, I can fight the corruption for a while longer, but do you really mean to take on his army alone?"

I nod
"She really does want to see him doesn't she…"

"Good point, but we also have no idea how many are there. All the surprise in the world can't help us if it's just a few of us against an army of them."
I put my hoof to my chin and think
"Let's vote. I'm for going to the fort first."

"We should head back and get reinforcements."
"They might not expect us, but that won't matter if we're outnumbered, which is most likely the case."

"We're heroes! We're meant to be outnumbered!"

"I say we go to either the temple or to Tilo, but no backtracking to Fort Talon. We shouldn't give them any more time to prepare."

"You said you were able to capture both Chiro and me before? You must have some means of getting around large numbers then?"

"We mostly relied on stealth and trickery for that… Something tells me that won't work now."

"We were disguised and were unexpected, I doubt it would work again easily seeing as how they know we're trying to stop them."

"If we move quickly and silently, we can take them by surprise. If we go back to the fort, all we're going to do is ensure bloodshed.

"I thought that's what you all wanted to prevent? If we take an army against Tilo's, what will happen?

"But we have a chance to solve this without death if we move quickly."

"The scope of Tilo's forces will be wide, but he cannot be everywhere. Please.. decide quickly if you want to face his army head on, or simply run past. I can't advise that taking his numbers on alone is a good idea.. "

"That's true… but still incredibly risky. Say we try to sneak in… what if we get caught? I doubt they would be as peaceful towards us as we want to be towards them."

"Running past sounds like the best idea. But what will we do after that? Once we get in, what's the plan?"

"Then we can fight our way out or fly away.

"And if our choice is between our possible deaths and the certain deaths of so many others, what choice do we have?"

"We find Tilo, we confront him, and we either convince him to surrender or… we kill him."

"Capture Tilo immediately and use his safety to blackmail our safe escape. Otherwise, kill him. If we can get help, use them as a distraction force while we infiltrate. That way, we'll betaking the least risk."

"Heh. Too strong a point to disagree with. Fine then… I'm all for heading there now."

"If we do sneak past them, we'll need a backup plan in case we get caught."

"We must enter the temple of dreams, I can reverse this dark magic. I may even be able to use the energy to change the heart of Tilo's army, once inside the Temple we will faced with challenges. "

"Then let's go! The sooner we take Tilo down the better."

"Yes! Let's hurry up and go!"

My face lights up. "Y-you think so? Great!"

"Well that should take care of us being outnumbered. Let's get moving then."

I nudge Allegro,
"I think he looks up to ya!"
I giggle.

They're all pretty happy… guess everything was alright when I was gone.

Hey what happened to all those bat guards we knocked out and stuff?

"Hehe… you think so?"
I blush slightly

The party takes the route to the Temple of Dreams, the patrols soar over head and the night cloaks your approach. The large cloud structure darkens the hills. You can see a heavily guarded area that seems to be over a large decorated stone path. To the side you can see a small dirt path, with only a guard passing by once in a while. Over the hill you can see the shape of the temple, its sun and moon tower toppers standing out even from this distance.

they were carted away by Chiranna's shadow minion. AKA I took care of them.

"I think we all know which way to go… tread lightly please."
Look at the side path. Is there a guard there? If not how far away is one

Roll #0 6 = 6

Does it look like the small dirt path is trapped?

Roll #0 3 = 3

Do I see any evidence of other guards? Campfires nope none of those! heheheh, packs, hear any talking? Locate.

Roll #1 4 = 4

Can I coat an arrow in sedative and get ready to fire it?

Uh, let me take care of that. I've got Sleep arrows.

"Guess its obvious which path we'll take."

As you tail the party, you can't help but wonder why Chiranna has joined them. Chiro didn't say she would be here.
You don't notice anything, just a chill in the wind and a slight mummer of Chiranna chanting quietly to herself probably something to do with what she said about keeping the dark magic in check.
You see one a little distance away, he will be over here soon.
I suppose so.

okay then

"One of their patrol approaching soon. Anyone want to take him out?"

Use Marksman Shot on the guard down the path.

Roll #1 9 + 3 = 12

with the sleep arrow, obviously.

Your arrow flies swiftly and silently through the air, hitting its mark on the shoulder, the enchantment making the arrow tip dissolve into a fine mist and be absorbed into the victim, the patrol goes down slowly and lands out cold on the path.

"Good job kid! Now let's go!"
I nudge Cloudcaller on the shoulder and make my way down the path
Rolling if I need to

Roll #0 2 = 2

Drag him into some bushes or something.

Anyone else on the path? '1d10'

Roll #1 10 = 10

"Good work."

Did they manage to convince Chiranna? Best not press the issue now.

Search his body before that.

Roll #0 3 = 3

Following him, keeping on the lookout!

Roll #0 3 = 3

How much further is the path, can we see an entrance to the tower?

Roll #0 5 = 5

There are a pair closer to the temple. The seem to be chatting about how dull it is out here.
Your approach leads you close enough to get a nice look at the temple. Its columns heavily decorated, the stained glass windows thick protraying various dreams of ponies, ponies making peace treaties, flying on the back of mighty dragons.. Its a rather grand building, the door closest to your is a giant archway with steps leading up to it.

You find that this pony was carrying not much more than his issued gear, high quality heavy armor, and a sturdy sword.

I whisper to the others.
"There's two more further down the path. I can only shoot one. Maybe another one of you could take the other?"

I step off to the side for a bit of cover, pulling Arioso close to me, and try to see what else is ahead

Roll #0 2 = 2

"I could take care of one, but someone will have to get in close to knock him out."

You stand on top of a hill for cover, wait.. the grass is pretty tall here you think. You don't notice that you aren't really being covered, because the grass was really only up to your ankles.

"I mean someone with a bow. I could give them one of my arrows. Or maybe Nox could, do his thing."

I don't think anyone knows my name

Either way, stealth.

Roll #0 2 + 2 = 4

Well we named you earlier, so here we are

"Well… I could always fly in and sucker punch one while you take out the other…"

"We could try and swarm the other one… that might work better?"

How far are we from the Temple? Would someone inside be able to hear us, do I think?

Roll #1 6 = 6

I think Noxx was still sneaking behind you, not sure you know he's there even
The shadows are just too wild for you to focus and you can't slip into them at this moment.

You are just far enough that they can't hear you, but a mere turn away from entering the temple if you choose. These two guards are sitting at the steps being lazy so they didn't notice you yet.

"Honestly, if I took one by surprise I'm certain I could knock him out before he knew what hit him."

"Well, try to get close so you can sucker punch him. When I see you get close, I'll shoot the other."

I'm walking with the party now.

"Right. Get ready kid!"
Try to get as close as I can without alerting them '1d10'
Then speed at them and cheap shot one (No roll)

Roll #1 10 = 10

And I quickly shoot the other.

Roll #1 10 + 3 = 13

I'm just gonna hold back…
And swoon at Allegro's strength~

Your teamwork is unrivaled, Allegro flies up swiftly and the guard barely has time to turn to him before he feels a hoof on his head, the poor guy falls over limply and makes little sound. At the same time Cloudcaller fires an arrow with a sleeping enchantment on it, he lands his mark perfectly and the bat pony slumps over asleep, both are out cool now.
>couldn't find "flawless victory" by itself

Heh. I grin and motion for the others to move up

I grin and fly up to Allegro.
"So strong~"

"Your stallion is here to impress, my love"
I wink and give her a quick kiss

Now then, take a peek inside the temple. What's inside?

Roll #0 6 = 6

I keep a lookout for anything coming from behind us.

Roll #1 1 = 1

I give him a quick nuzzle and make sure nobody's coming in from above us! '1d10'

Roll #1 8 = 8

I look inside the temple, any guards inside?

Roll #0 5 = 5

Check for guards.

Is it dark enough that my eye enchantments work?

Roll #0 6 = 6

The way is all clear now. Chiranna takes a few steps in ahead of you. The way is well lit, there are green torches on the side of the room, a few dimly glowing runes on the floor, they look like the sun and the moon. There are stained glass windows quite tall and depicting some kind of epic battle from long ago. The scene ends with the heroes at three doors, some look frightened and some look brave. before you is a large door with a pull handle on it.

"So… is this the right place, Chiranna?"

"Yes, beyond this door lie the challenges, tests of faith and character to protect the power of dreams.

Anything else important around before we go through?

Roll #0 5 = 5

"Wait… challenges? What do these challenges involve?"

"Impressive artwork."
"Do you know what these challenges are?"

You think the stained glass might carry a hint.
She breathes in deeply. "I can not say for sure, but I know this place was made by the two sisters long ago to protect the power inside, the power to make dreams come true.. Its the only thing powerful enough to change me back to normal, and to make Tilo's army change their own hearts. I no longer desire the eternal night.. so that shouldn't be a problem.."

"Something about this glass…"
Keep looking at it. Making out anything yet?

Roll #0 4 = 4

Look absent-mindedly at the stained glass and stuff.

Roll #1 5 = 5

That glass sure looks pretty.

Roll #1 5 = 5

Does my faith and devotion to the moon allow me to understand this more easily?

Roll #0 7 = 7

"Any dream come true? I expect the trials to be quite an obstacle then."
I look up at the windows.
"I can't shake the ominous feeling I get from these windows…"

Roll #0 10 = 10

Its just some really nice artwork..
You notice that above each door there are some symbols.. a bear above the first door, a blackened crystal above the second, and stairs on the third.
You notice the same as Noxx, and you believe this is a hint to an old story about tests of character. The heroes each faced challenges differently but needed to show their strongest character trait in the end to finish the challenge.

"Anything familiar come to mind for anyone? I can't shake that feeling…"

"Bears are symbols of strength, but I cannot be sure about the other two. Either way, we should move."

"I got nothing."
"We should, yeah."

[paused by group vote until campfire can join us, most likely weds]

Testing thread buoyancy

Our party stands in before a very tall and decorative set of double doors, the room around them has very intricate display of stained glass windows, the floor has two large circles one with the moon, and one with the sun. The day light coming through the stained glass is rather charming.

Anything special about the circles on the floor?

Roll #0 9 = 9

"Do any of you see anything special about any of this? Aren't old temples supposed to have riddles and tests in them?"
I examine the circles on the floor for anything not immediately obvious.

Roll #0 2 = 2

Is there any way to open the doors? Handles? Pressure plates? Doorknob?

Roll #1 3 = 3

You notice the light from the window is making a pattern, on the floor. It seems to be a glowing heart in the center of a dark and jagged box.
They should probably have tests in them, but you can't tell anything from that brief glance you just did, I wonder what could be distracting you.
They are double doors, each with a pull handle. you reach up to the pull on it and it opens with ease, in fact nearly opening itself at your touch. a strange fog is in the next room preventing you from seeing what's inside before entering.

"Let's avoid the mysterious fog room until we get this sorted out."
I go back to examining the circles on the floor and try not to get distracted by the thoughts of Cloudcaller doing something stupid.

Roll #0 8 = 8

Hmm… one more glance at the stained glass windows

Roll #0 10 = 10

"Uh, right…"
Is this just a big room? No tables or book cases or pulpits or anything?

Roll #1 4 = 4

Does the light through the windows match up with the circles on the floor in some way?

Roll #0 7 = 7

Chiranna looks a little irritated at the idea. "If you must do so."
You see the first circle is the emblem of the sun, around it are a pair of doves, a unicorn, an earth pony and a pegasus. The second circle has the emblem of the moon, surrounding it are a pair of bats, an earth pony, a pegasus, and unicorn. Seems pretty standard.
You see the windows are the same as before and puzzled start looking at the wall, you press a hidden switch and feel a strange light wash over you. The others can see this as well. you look up to see that the window in front of you has completely changed, (panel description incoming next post. )
Its not a very decorated room, like something that was meant as an entry point and not for someone to linger. There is a sort of bench you can sit at if you want.
Yes, the light is parallel with the circles.

if is doesn't help you I will quit for the night in order to think up new challenges for you.
The panel now shows a group of ponies going in the door together, their hearts blue. They find themselves separated after going through the door, and face a bright sword, then a magical 'spark' with a center of pure purple crystal, finally they are together as they accent up the steps. The party is climbing the stairs with their hearts still 'dim' and they are seen one by one with bright glowing hearts. All are seen with a glowing heart at the end of the steps, where an alter is.

"Hmmm. Looks like we will get split up when we go through the door."
Did you mean to say they were split into two groups or more than two groups?

"I… I think we're supposed to go through the door. I think it's a test. Like in a story."

"Interesting… anyway let's get a move on. The sooner we go the better."
Should all of us be here for this?

"Must be foreshadowing on the tests we'll take."

"What do you think the light on the floor means?"
I point at the heart shape in the box shape.

yes, you are going to be split up, its safe enough.
It would be preferred but I can't require it.
Chiranna seems to have seen enough. "I'll meet you at the end. " she runs through the door into the strange fog disappearing from view.

"Not sure, probably some metaphor for personal strength or something."

"Might as well…"
I nuzzle Arioso.
"See you on the other side, love."

Enter after Chiranna!

"Might as well, I suppose. Try not to die, everyone!"
I run through.

I return his nuzzle and enter!

I follow everyone else into the fog

you are each seeing the same thing for this first part to be clear, but are all separate
The fog clears and you see that you are indeed alone, before you stands a bear. Its wounded and wearing a suit of armor. The bear roars at you and charges to the best of its ability clearly a strain on its body.

I try to fly out of its reach.
'1d10' to see what the wound is.

Roll #0 9 = 9

Roll #1 5 = 5

Jump back out of the bear's reach

Roll #0 10 = 10

I side-step out of the way of the bear's charge

Roll #0 2 = 2

I fly up and try to put the bear to sleep with a magic arrow.

Roll #1 1 + 3 = 4

I fly up and avoid his charge. '1d10'
I also try to see what's wrong! 'r2 1d10'

Roll #1 9 = 9 / Roll #2 8 = 8

You dodge your bear easily its frustration building as it claws at your no longer there body. You can see its wounds will likely kill it if they are not tended to. its got a large gash in its leg rear, and several cuts on its body, the wound of particular concern is one on its stomach, it looks quite deep.
You do an impressive back flip the injured bear just sits there confused and looks behind him to see you have already moved.
It tackles you and roars at your face, it sounds as if its in pair, angry. it gets off of you and stand back, standing up and revealing it large stomach wound and roars at you again.
The bear leaps at you while you are drawing your shot, You drop the arrow on your hoof and feel kind of sleepy now.
You easily dodge him, leaving him a very cranky bear as he fails wildly at the spot where you just were. The bear is mortally wounded, you can see blood seeping through under his armor a large gash on his stomach, and his hind leg has a limp from a deep cut.

Inspire has the entertain effect now right?
Play a lullaby to calm the rampaging bear

Roll #0 8 + 3 = 11

I cast Transfix to get the bear to calm down

Roll #0 6 = 6

What would Allegro do… oh!
I attempt to play and sing a soothing song to calm him, dancing all the while.

Roll #0 8 + 1 = 9

I try to shake off the sleepiness.

Roll #1 8 = 8

"Who would put armor on a bear?"
I shudder at the sight of the wounds and look around. Is there anything I can use as a bandage?

Roll #0 8 = 8

What's been going on

We stepped outside and took a deep breath.

Your bear sits down entranced. Its seems calmed, soothed, tired even. You voice is the epitome of peacefulness. He seems to be swaying a bit and lays down, sniffing at you curiously.
I haven't upgraded everyone's sheets for 1.3 yet but for 11 you can have that effect
You stare straight at him, and lock eyes, the bear's will against your he is a very strong mind, a powerful warrior spirit, and he is hard to tame but your magic is strong as well and you win out. He sits there staring at you, allowing you to get a good look at his wounds and iron armor.
you manage to make yourself stay awake your bear is pawing at your direction, but decides to take another charge at you. its leg bleeding a bit on the ground.
There is a tree near by with some glowing fruits, and a few pure white flowers called "milky lily" which is known for its healing properties when mixed with something.

"There there now… what's upset you?"
Inspect him to see why he's agitated

Roll #0 3 = 3

What dies the bear's armour look like?

Roll #0 2 = 2

your bear seems amused at your trick, it takes this turn to clap for you instead of attacking.
Would you like to enter the fog covered door of mystery?

I fly over and examine the fruits after taking a few flowers.
'1d10' to spot any signs of who this bear belongs to.

Roll #0 7 = 7

Roll #1 8 = 8

How bad are the wounds?
'1d10' to keep up Transfix so the bear keeps calm

Roll #0 7 = 7

Roll #1 5 = 5

What are the surroundings like now?

You each have your own bear, sorry if this is confusing. The armor is iron plating, with faded imprints of a sword and shield on it. like it was a once a brave fighter.

>your bear
Shoot my bear with the arrow again.

Roll #1 7 + 3 = 10

"See? i'm not here to hurt you. What's wrong?"

Am I with the rest of the party and do I have my own bear yet?

he's probably upset because he's injured, or he was just in a bit fight and wants to finish that battle. He confirms the fact that he is indeed angry by snapping at your hooves when you try touching his wounds. its nothing serious just a little bite.
the fruit looks tasty like an orange or peach, but its neither. It smells a bit like honey and will probably be perfect for mixing the flowers with.
The wounds are deadly, its quickly bleeding out and was pretty seriously injured on its stomach, and back leg. There are lots of other smaller cuts where there isn't armor. its pretty clear this bear was in a battle not long ago.
You hit your bear squarely with an enchanted arrow, he is knocked out for now, but a bear that size might not stay a sleep long.
The bear makes some motions that depict stabbing, slicing, and then points to his chest, He slowly points to his armor as if he's proud of it.
You walked into the fog and then a bear came charging at you, you probably dodged the beast and now find yourself alone with it. The others went through the door you're sure but they aren't with you here.

"You were in a fight? With who?"

Quickly examine the bear while flying out of reach.

Roll #0 2 = 2

"Poor guy…"
I don't have any healing items on me… anything around that can help?

Roll #0 6 = 6

I grab a few of those and look around for something to mix them in.

Roll #0 4 = 4

Also "OW!"

I look around for anything else around me.

Also I inspect the bear for wounds, thorns, or other irritants.
'r2 1d10'

Roll #1 10 = 10 / Roll #2 5 = 5

I end Transfix.
"Stay calm, I'm going to help as best I can."
I look around for anything I could use to patch up the wounds.

Roll #0 8 = 8

Yes, there is a small field of pure white flowers called "milky lily" sitting underneath a sweet smelling fruit tree.
You try to take off but your bear grabs you and slams you down on ground with a roar of frustration. 3 hits
He mimes a bit more, but he falls over before he can get across any message about that. He clambers to his feet and stares at your weapon, holding out his claw in a gesture of "come at me" behind him you see a flow path under a tree you recognize the flowers as "milky lily" a healing plant, and there is some kind of fruit you've never seen on the tree.
You see a tall tree with sweet peach like fruit on it, but it has a scent like honey. Below the tree there is a flower patch with the famous "milky lily" a healing ingrediant. There is also a a scythe, you could end the beast's suffering now.
You can see it is one its last limb of life its armor speaks of it wanting to fight, and its wounds say it put up a hell of fight, the deep wound on the stomach and hind leg along with the various cuts show you this.
You see a might fruit tree in full season, and a flower patch with "milky lily" in it, a well known healing herb.

Try to take the bear's armor off…

…and heal it with the flower.
'r2 1d10'

But if the armor doesn't come off, then don't heal it.

Roll #1 6 = 6 / Roll #2 3 = 3

I musn't be hasty, this is an animal, and would ill be angered lest something were endangering it…

Try flying out of reach again and examining it.

Roll #0 5 = 5

I fly over and pick some, then fly back to the bear and fearlessly extend a hoof.
"I want to help you… Please trust me and remove your armor."

Roll #0 3 = 3

"These should work."
I pick some and walk back over to the bear.
"Eat these, they might help your injuries."

Roll #0 1 = 1

I cautiously move around the bear and towards the flower.
"I don't want to fight you… I want to help you."

You see a shield, probably from the warrior the bear was fighting off, its round and kind of dish like so it should do.

I look at the shield, then at the bear.
"Alright Mr. Bear. I am going to try mixing up something that should help you. You can either sit quietly and let me help you, or you can try to attack me and make me sit on top of that tree until you bleed out."
After saying that I land next to the shield and try to mix the fruit and flowers together while keeping an eye on the bear.

the armor is a little sticky but it comes off you apply the crushed flowers directly to the skin and the bear seem to be breathing steadier, the wounds begin to close and a small smile comes over the sleeping bear's face. "thank you for your kindness" a voice says to you. once the bear is fully healed you are covered in fog once more and see yourself in another room. its a smaller room, that has a floor made out of crystal. the walls are stone and in the center you see a male earth pony whose hooves are covered in black crystal, sticking him to the floor. you see khazard appear in this room as well.
the bear sniffs at the items, and licks his lips. He greedily gets them and you can see his skin regrowing, the injuring healing very effectively. He licks your hoof as a thank you and the room becomes covered in fog, you see Cloudcaller next to you. the fog clears a bit and you can see your new location is a room with crystal flooring, stone walls, and there is a earth pony trapped by some dark crystals on his hooves.
he seems a little skeptical but does allow his armor to slide off, the extend of his wounds is quite sever and he will die soon.
"raa" he says and nods a bit, eyeing the fruit in the tree while he follows you.
the bear comes over and leans his nose into what you are stirring like a curious dog. he gets a bit on his nose and backs off for a moment while he tries to reach it with his tongue a very silly display.

"Thank you."
Crush the herb with my bare hooves as best I can and apply it to his wounds

Roll #0 2 = 2

I smile and start mixing the fruit and flowers together. Once it's done I try to apply it to the bear's wounds.
"You're just a giant teddy bear, aren't you?"

Roll #0 6 = 6

"You want the fruit? You can have the fruit…"
I fly up and grab the fruit, then grab the flower, and gesture for him to take his armor off in exchange for the fruit.

Talk to the trapped pony. "What's wrong with you? Why are you stuck?"

Roll #1 2 = 2

you can't see much from the top, there is a bit of blood seeping through its fur from under the armor, and it a limping a bit as it chases you.

It's clearly injured and panicked.

From the air, try stroking it to calm it down.

"Shh… I am here to assist you. Please calm down."

Roll #0 6 = 6

I walk over to the trapped pony. "How'd you get trapped?"
I examine the crystals.

Roll #0 7 = 7

You hooves slip a little but it gets the job done, the healing effect begins and the bear smiles at you as his wounds heal. he gives you a small hug and then the room disappears into a thick fog. you reappear in a room with a crystal floor stone walls, and a female earth pony is trapped in the center by some dark crystals. Odette appears here a moment later.
He licks a bit of the healing solution as you apply, the medicine works very fast, you can see him go from nearly dead to full of life and all well again. The bear looks very happy and licks your face before turning and walking away. The fog returns and takes over your vision for a moment. when it clears you are in another room, one with a crystal floor, stone walls and a female earth pony in the center trapped by dark crystals which anchor her to floor. Allegro is also in this room.
He seems to understand and takes off the armor, he looks at you expectantly.
It stares at you strangely but stops its attack while you speak. Behind it you see a scythe, and tree with some fruits on it, below the tree you see some white lily's you know as a healing plant.
The male earth pony looks at you sadly. "I tried to cast that spell, the one on the wall. It said anyone can use it and I.. didn't know it was trap, I just wanted to try magic.."

"A scythe…? Regardless, please let me help you."

Take a surplus of the plant and use some on the bear.

"Odette, there you are. Did you see the others? Arioso maybe?"
I turn to the trapped pony and tap on the crystals for a response.
"Hello? Are you okay?!"

"It might not be a trap, let me check and I'll help."
I check the spell on the wall, what does it say?

I rub my face.
"That was…different."
I fly over to the mare.
"How did you get stuck in these crystals, miss?"
Are the crystals anything like the ones in the cave?

"Just a hurt bear and a tree with fruit near some flowers."

Roll #0 3 = 3

I give him the fruit and begin preparing the flower, then apply it to him.

"You too hm? I wonder if we all did."

"Maybe. How many bears do you think they can fit in this temple?"
I look sideways at the trapped mare then whisper in his ear.
"Do you think your marefriend is going to be alright? The bear was pretty hostile when I first saw it."

"I-I… I hope so. I know she's quite strong for her size and plenty capable, but still…"
I start pacing back and forth.

It reads "Speak these words in the center of the room to gain domain over crystals, no matter your race you will be their master." "Don the power, in this Hour. I desire, a crystal spire"
the bear doesn't resist you and its wounds heal almost instantly. The bear grunts a thank you, and gives you a polite bow. The mist closes in around you and you can't see for a moment. The fog slowly clears to reveals a room with crystal flooring, stone walls, and a female earth pony is rooted to the floor with some black crystals. Odette and Allegro are with you.
The smallish mare shivers. "Yes.. its not getting worse yet."
The crystals don't respond, but they do make a pretty sound.
In the sense that they are crystals, yes they are. "I read that spell.. so foolish.. and earth pony can't use magic after all.." she points you toward some writing on the wall.
The bear happily eats his fruit and makes no effort to resist as you apply the mixture. The bear falls asleep and his wounds heal completely. a smile appears on his face as if he is having a nice dream. You are soon covered in fog and when it lifts you are in a new room. the floor is covered in crystal and the walls are stone. There are cloudcaller and khazard here talking to a stallion who's hooves have been rooted in by black crystals.

It may be best to take the scythe with me for now. Speak to the trapped pony.

"Hello, are you alright? Do you know how to stop the crystallization?"

I turn and look at the writing she pointed to…

Roll #0 9 = 9

I turn back to the earth pony.
"Its says nothing about doing magic, just domain over crystals. Try focusing on moving the crystals off your feet."

"Wha… what happened here? Cloudcaller? Khazard? Do either of you know? Why's he trapped in crystal?"

I look at him for a few seconds then roll my eyes and look over at the writing on the wall.

"The pony was here when I entered. More likely that he has been here before either of us entered."

"Yeah. I'll help."

Word of power on the crystals.

Roll #1 2 = 2

"He read that spell on the wall."

"Have I seen you somewhere before?"

"You may have. I assisted in your infiltration of Chiro and Chiranna's sky fortress. Now that my affairs are cleared up, I am here to assist again."

By the way, a mask is covering my face most of the time, so you probably recognise the mask

[paused because I think you all are lost here, we'll pick it up tomorrow if possible, and i'll do a small rewind to right after the bear]

"Oh, right, it's you. Chiranna is working with us now, but she looks a little off. Keep your knife in its sheath, alright?"

Thanks for the quest.

"It appeared so. This is fortunate. Fear not, I will do her no harm."
