No.119914

Welcome to Fishbone. A small and insignificant Equestrian fishing town on the coast of Great Blue Sea. Some towns have played great parts in the word's history only to be forgotten, but Fishbone has always been only a dot on the maps.
Even the town's widest roads feel narrow and the pavement is beginning to crack. Still, the ponies inhabitating the town are friendly and welcoming.

What has brought you to this silent town, only you know. You all, for some reason, are standing in front of a pub - the Profane Seapony. It's early autumn, but the forenoon sun warms your coat, and the smell of salt lingers in the air while seagulls screech and watch the ocean from rooftops. A few dozen old boats can be seen in the harbor and the voice of working ponies can also be heard.
Suddenly, you hear a different sound. Your stomach is grumbling. Luckily, the pub's lunch is half-price today.

What will you order, or will you order anything?

"That was the job the notice mentioned. Get it open and you can keep the contents, no idea what it contains, however. I've been trying to break it open. No luck. Maybe you can do it?"

It appears to be quite old.

Does the box have a lock? what kind of a lock?
I inspect the chest for any oddities.
"Seems pretty simple…"

I crack my knuckles and try to burrow through the outside of the metal box.

This is no monkeywork. The box won't open.
>>161264
You can hear some clicking noises from the lock system… then your lockpick breaks.
>>161265
If there's text on the box, you can't recognize it. The patterns are mostly wave-like.

"Wow, this one is quite nifty huh." I look at the box with awe. "Where do you two get it?" I ask the owner.

The hotel owners watch as in horror your small cannon fires. There's a loud boom. Once the smoke clears, there's a hole in the wooden floor. The box has flown a meter backwards, but is unscratched.

Your monkey reloads your cannon.

The stallion swallows.

"Uh, Mr. Buffalo. I hate to say this, but we might have to ask you either to repair the floor, or pay for the carpenter. And ummm, I suggest you ask the town's locksmith for assistance."

No.161296

Your monkey is not the smartest monkey around.

Your carpeting skills are terrible, but the whole is covered, kind of. You pull the carpet to hide the wooden tumor.
>>161300
The stallion thinks for a while.
"Yeah… Yeah, was kind of suspecting it. That and it's made out of something that's quite durable obviously."

PAUSED.
