"No reports of Luftwaffle forces anywhere near the beaches"
"First wave will hit the beach in T minus 30"

You're on the cargo deck of LST-325, a landing ship, on your way to Mare'iha beach. You can smell the sea, and hear the guns booming overhead.
Your tank squadron is to be the second of the two ashore during the initial assault. Your commander, Lieutenant Sure Shot is just about to brief the squadron.

The leftenant starts walking in front of a blank blackboard.
"Now I had a map here, but a damn wave washed it away. Alright, Captain Jackpon is our superior on this mission. We'll launch 30 seconds after LST-324. Intel reports no Kraut panzers anywhere within 30 miles of the beaches, so this is strictly an infantry support mission. We need to take out their MG-nests while the infantry storms their artillery, and then drive the enemies in-land so we can secure the landing zone."
An observer from above intersects with a yell.
"Wave two is off!"
"Right. We are headed for the village of Coltville-Sur-Mer. After we drive through the beach, we will take positions in the outskirts of town, and wait for the infantry. Mount up!"
The lieutenant jumps atop his own Sherman and disappears inside. The other crews start dispersing, some checking their stowage, others loading extra ammunition.
"D'ya think the Prance mares would like to…reward their saviors?"
"Pfft, all they'll give you is a cold hoof!"
"I heard the Londonpons have floating tanks! Get that!"
"Who'd need floating tanks when you have landing ships for tanks?"

Somepony from above yells: "5 minutes until takeoff!"

There are two columns of three tanks aboard the ship. You are in the second row, next to the leftenant's tank. He's climbed out of his tank and is up on the catwalk so he can see what's going on with the landings.

You can hear another volley of shots fly above you, but they sound…different.
"Shit! Kraut artillery!"
You can hear most of the shots splash on the water and for a while it's rather quiet.
Well, aside from the constant fire coming from the beach. "Oh crap, 324 is on fire!"
"They have smoke on their aft! It's veering off course!"
Then, another volley rips the air, followed by a huge explosion that you can see even from the cargo deck.
"Shit! The captain's ship just exploded!"

"10 seco- FUCK"
"This is 5, the commander is dead and we're stuck!"
As Bernard turns around he can see a huge metal spike jutting through the deck. It's an underwater trap set to stop ships from reaching the beach proper. It's also pierced the soft belly of the tank behind the Leftenant's.
"Damn, we only have 5 tanks for this entire sector?"
"Don't let them know it! Open the doors!"

The heavy ramp is splashed into the ocean.
"Do you think it's shallow enough?"
"We are sitting ducks out here, move it! Forwards, flank speed!"
The two tanks in front of you start their engines and roar off, down the ramp.
It seems the water is almost up to the turret's base here.

Now, the commander can give bonuses or minuses to the whole rest of the crew if he rolls well.
