For the map, I'd destroy the bridge, place a phalanx defending the narrow mountain pass, sure the enemy will be at least as smart as me and do the same, and then lead the rest of my troops through the open field, attacking the enemy from two fronts, effectively flanking their mountain defense and engaging the biggest part of their army on the open fields.
Then, only the honor and ability of the single ponies will choose the winner.
