The Trotston cemetery.

It has long been rumored to be haunted, but the ponies of Trotston had always dismissed these claims as stories meant to scare foals. These stories of strange noises during moonless nights or figures moving in the mist late at night went largely ignored by generation after generation of ponies living in this sleepy little town. Ignored, that is, until a few weeks ago when ponies started disappearing from their beds. It wasn't until then that the mayor took heed and began sending out fliers asking adventures to come and solve his town's problem. A few days later adventures began to trickle into town. Once the mayor decided he had enough he informed them of the situation and sent them off to the cemetery after granting them a small amount of time to get to know each other and buy whatever they felt they might need.

The overcast sky colors the world grey and a light rain falls on our heroes as they stand just inside the gates of the cemetery. Gravestones and memorials stretch out before you, broken only by the occasional mausoleum or scraggly tree. A small chapel can be seen in the distance.

[s]We will start when four out of the five players report in.
People that join after the first session worry not. Your character was simply a few steps behind our heroic band of adventurers.[s]

The five of you carefully pick your way around the tombstone and approach the small stone chapel. It look a little run down but that is all any of you can see without a closer look. You focus your abilities into your staff and boop the corpse on its nose. Its eyes snap open and it works its jaws a few times before taking in a big breath of air. The breath doesn't stop; instead it jumps keep inhaling and as it does so it's wrinkled, dessicated flesh starts to fill out. As the signs of death disappear from the body it stands and stretches before finishing it's breath. She blinks a few times and looks at you.

"Who are you!? Where am I!? Why are we in this hole!?"

After finishing their chat with the cranky old mare the party turns their pack on the empty grave and makes their way to the middle of the graveyard. The closer they get to the center the more more mausoleums and monuments they come across, each one with a name or cutie mark engraved on it. When they finally reach the center they find themselves standing before a mausoleum that is larger than the rest, but still smaller than an average house. It is made of a dark, worn stone, and so are the two larger than life unicorn statues that flank the heavy stone doors. In big, bold letters the name TROTSTON is engraved one a slab above the entrance.

Previously on Crypt quest our heroes met in a cemetery, investigated a graveyard chapel, stepped on some glass, and found out that someone or someone had been throwing rocks at the chapel but had never gone inside. After that they went back outside and met with a couple more heroes before leaving to investigate the last pony buried here. After accidentally resurrecting the pony in the grave they learned nothing of value and let her go before continuing on towards the Trotston family mausoleum. Once inside they found a large stone chest with a decorated lid and a patch of dried blood by the chest. After opening it they discovered that it contained a staircase leading downwards into the darkness.

It's mouth is large enough to stand in but the shadows are too deep to see what is past it. Its teeth are sharp and stained with a dark substance. Its eye sockets are empty and dark. The left and right wall each have a door similar to the one you came through and each has an inscription above it. Bones litter the floor.

Your bolt passes harmlessly through a skeleton's eye socket and a hole in the back of its skull. Another one rises from the ground next to you and bits into the exposed flesh of your leg.

>>86405
Several skeletons rise to their hooves around you, but before they can finish standing you you rear back and lash out twice with your forelegs. Each blow connects at the base of a skeleton's neck and causes it to collapse into an inanimate pile of bones. Once you return to all fours you buck the skeleton behind it hard enough to scatter it across the room and lash out with a wing, damaging a skeleton by your side.

>>86407

During the last game our heroes gained entrance to the secret area under the mausoleum. Answered a riddle to get past the door they found there, fought some skeletons, got zapped by one door and cut by another, and set off an arrow trap in the hallway. Olga had just reanimated her skeleton. It is looking a bit flimsy and there are a few arrows sticking out of its bones. The hallway stretches on into the darkness.

Before we begin there are some things you all need to know about the hallway and a thing you all need to do. The hallway is wide enough to accommodate two ponies/goats/zebras/skeletons side by side, but they will be pressed again each other and suffer a -2 to dodging anything. People in the first row can check for traps or use locate just fine, but people a row back are at -1, two rows back -2, etc. These modifiers cannot take a roll below 1. This hallway was not made for buffalo and so Bessy is quite cramped in here. She cannot pass others and others cannot pass her. She cannot turn around and no one can see past her. She makes dodge rolls at DC 10.

After navigating past a few traps the party came upon a fork in their path. Deciding to take the path on the right the found that it curved into a long hallway that lead to an almost overflowing treasury. While trying to find a trap in the hallway one of them set it off and was nearly resolved in a pit of acid. When the party tried to save her another of them fell in. After some quick help and healing everyone is alright, but the coat has been burnt off the back half of Dreamkicker's body. Deciding that the treasure wasn't worth it the party retreated to the fork in the path.

The party stands before a minotaur statue. In the hand pointing down the corridor on the right is a stone crown. In the hand pointing down the corridor on the left is a stone cage. Down the corridor on the right is a pit full of acidic goo and a ramp making access to the treasury difficult, but not impossible. The corridor on the left holds darkness and mystery.
