No.112657

Last time on Crypt Quest Andelia got replaced by her evil reflection and the party gained entrance to a large, circular chamber. After a bit of looking around and investigation Andelia was freed from the mirror and her reflection was banished. Once the entire party had entered the circular room the door disappeared into the stone and a mysterious voice spoke to the party before four skeletons were teleported into the room with them.

The party faces four skeletons. Every bone of each skeleton is covered in bronze and their joints are held together with wire. Each one is armed with an axe and an ornate shield. One skeleton is missing a leg and using its shield as a crutch. Please resume where you left off last time.

The skeleton deflects your swing with its shield and leaves you open. Before you can do anything it brings the flat end of its axe up under your jaw. The force of the blow flips you over and you land on your back, Helpless.

>>112661
Thin tendrils shoot up from the cracks between the heavy floor tiles and wrap around a skeleton's back legs. It can still attack and defend, but cannot move.

>>112662
Your arrow deflects harmlessly off its shield. It's axe does not deflect harmlessly off of you, but your leather armor softens the blow a little.

>>112664
The bronzed skeleton is heavy, but you in your armor are heavier. You slam into the three legged one and send it flying.

>>112721

You rear back too far and fall over backwards. Luckily a blue beam from Olga's minion strikes the skeleton and renders it motionless before it can attack you.

>>112732
You pick up the axe. It is well made and the blade is unmarred by chips or rust.

>>112712
>>112730
A beam of fire strikes one of the skeletons, causing the bronze encasing its bones to glow before melting and forming a molten puddle beneath it. The wire holding its joints together fared better, but it has also taken some damage. Rays design to exhaust and knock out targets hit two other skeletons. One skeleton stops moving as its energy is temporarily sapped and the other, being undead and therefor not requiring sleep, is unaffected.

The final ray, a beam of loathsome, black energy, strikes the temporally troubled skeleton. In slow motion a dark corona forms around the skeleton as its bones begin to twist. Slowly the bones lengthen and split; forming new shapes even as the bronze runs along its bones. The skeleton grows taller and its bones become thicker and denser. Claws sprout from its hooves and its mouth fills with fangs. Two large, scythe shaped talons sprout from its back and the flowing bronze runs upwards and coats them, forming a razor sharp edge. As the time around this fresh horror returns to normal its changes finish and it stops growing as it reaches roughly the same size as Celestia.

Before you can fire your bolt of electricity the skeleton that was stopped by Olga's minion begins moving and crashes into you, knocking you off your hooves.

>>112769
Your swing knocks small chunks of bone off of some of its ribs, but doesn't do any real damage.

>>112770
You hit it in the same spot that Korrin did and manage to crack a few ribs.

>>112771
The pink glow that surrounds the monstrous skeleton is quickly snuffed out by the vile darkness surrounding it. The voice stops laughing laughing long enough to speak.
That was clever, I must admit, but this new creature is blessed by lord Grogar. You will need more strength if you wish to harm it that way; strength I do not believe something as vile as you possesses.

>>112774
Your arrows bounce off its thick bones. While you are distracted one of the regular skeletons comes up behind you and slices at you with his axe. The blow lands in the same spot that the previous one did and bites into your flesh. The force of the the attack and the pain cause you to collapse and become Helpless.

>>112775
You pour a foul smelling liquid across her back that is quickly absorbed by her skin. A few seconds later her bruises and cuts vanish.

>>112777
Your stone flies true and hits one of its bronze talons, snapping off the top few inches of it.

>>112765
The fiery ray once again fails to manifest, but the yellow ray strikes it and slows down the time around it. +1 to attacks against it next round.

>>112783
Your beholder fires another black beam, but it aims this one at Happyhorn's spider. The things convulses as it swells to twice the size of a pony and all the damage done to it is replaced by new, but dead, flesh. A few drops of acidic venom drip from its fangs. As these things happen the voice stops laughing.

The resurrect spell could overpower his infernal protection, it could be nullified by his power, or it could be twisted around and kill you.
DC1 to not be killed instantly, DC9 to kill it instantly by using ressurect.

>>112795
It's dark aura surrounds it like a shield and absorbs both rays easily.

>>112798
It kicks you away before you can attack it. Your thick armor keeps you from being hurt or knocked over, and instead you just slide backwards until you hit a table.

>>112818

Previously in Crypt quest the party fought with four skeletons, each one with bronzed bones and wired joints. After a few minutes of fighting the party learned what happens when you pump something reanimated by necromancy full of even more necromantic energy. Despite the mishap the party emerged victorious.

The party stands in the center of a dark, circular room. The room is large enough that the walls are shrouded in darkness. All around them lie the scattered contents of tables and various bones. The voice that spoke to them during the fight speaks again.

He spared me on the condition that I would keep this place clean and maintained, and I was able to convince him to limit the number of his victims. He did not listen of course, and now all of you are here.

No.116216

Previously on Crypt Quest the party faced off against against the lich that built this underground structure. After a few rounds of building up power the lich unleashed his ultimate attack: Sunlight. Once the lich learned that the party were not vampires he ceased his attack. After a bit of conversing the party agreed to kill the vampire and his spawn for the lich, and even agreed to help him fix his phylactery. Before leaving to fetch the party weapons he revealed that he would need a soul to do so. When he returned the party convinced him that they did not know what they were agreeing to, so he let them off the hook. The party turned down several more offers by the lich and he eventually gave up and opened a staircase leading down for the party.

The party is in a large circular room that is lit with sunlight. It shows sign of a recent battle, and there is a hole in the ground leading downwards. The lich stands by the basin, managing to look dejected despite a painted mask covering his face.

The party descends the twisting staircase. After half a minute of walking the smell of the air changes from a stale dryness to damp, rotten scent. The reason for this is made evident when the party reaches the bottom of the staircase. The light from their lanterns reflects off of murky, stagnant water that comes over the first step of the staircase. The room is of a more traditional square shape and his supported by four pillars. The sound of trickling water can be heard and a few pony corpses float in the water. There is a flash of light and Happyhorn's spider appears in the room.

All of the corpses look like they have been floating in the water for at least a few days. Their bloated, saggy flesh makes it hard to see, but there are puncture wounds on their necks. The much more obvious wounds on the bodies are chunks of missing flesh. The toothmarks on exposed bone tell the tale of sharp, pointy teeth, but the size of the bitemark tells you that ponies did this. All the corpses are missing at least half their flesh. They are dead right now, but there is nothing keeping them from being raised.

Previously on Crypt Quest the party left the lich's room and ventured downwards. Beneath his room they found a flooded chamber with a few half eaten corpses floating in the water. The party was confronted by two mysterious voices, which were revealed by Dreamkicker to be two ponies standing on the ceiling. When they realized that they were discovered they raised a few of the corpses and left the room. Once the party had put down the corpses they navigated around a trap in the center of the room and checked out a hallway. The party found signs of a trap in the hall and saw a level with one of them pulled, sealing them in the room. At the same time as this, Olga botched a prayer an raised all five corpses in the room, turning them hostile. Once the corpses were again laid to rest the party started to fool around, attracting the attention of the twins. After a bit of banter and talking Andelia convinced them to let them pass, and Olga convinced them to give nature worship a chance. To seal the deal the Twins let Andelia through the hall, fed, and returned her to the group. Andelia was then healed by Mirabelle.

The party stands in a dank, dark room. The water comes up to their knees and continues down the hallway they are standing outside of. There is no sign of the Twins.

Despite the fact that you are Helpless and being eaten alive, you mix together a little something and drink it. You can feel your heart start to beat slower and your blood run thicker in your veins.

>>118229
On of the ponies tries to intercept you and gets hit instead.

>>118230
Your spider shoots the slab with some web and pulls. A bit of rock falls from the cieling, but the slab doesn't seem to budge.

>>118237
You can't see the pony, but you can feel it tear some of your flesh off.

All of the ponies in each room suddenly go still. After a second all of them that are still alive begin to hiss and convulse, but move away from the parties and the slabs. Both slabs slide open, but Pomelo's slab ahs a bit of trouble thanks to being pulled slightly out of alignment.
