Catch your breath before diving back in.

545492

>>545489
"Yes, though that was merely temporary. I was born a pegasus and I intend on living as a pegasus."

545494

>>545484
>>545483
I scratch my head.
"Well that is the surprise. I guess I am not good with making surprises."

I then relax.
"Say, Ms. September. What do you think with all of this? The pirating, the pillaging then… the mutiny? We've been together for some time and both of us have not talked with each other that much."

I then stand up and bow.
"Excuse me if this is all out of a sudden, I mean I am not that kind of Dog that get serious that much but I'd like to know more about my captain, the Captain of the Hourglass."

545496

>>545493
"As a famous poet from beyond the sea once wrote, home is where the heart is."

Roll #1 3 = 3

545497

>>545489
Snicker "as if I would let him get away with that."
"He always said that fluffy tail made him feel bigger."

545498

>>545484
"Of course. I've been aching to sleep in a real bed again."
I grin.
"Goodnight, Abilio."

545499

>>545484
"Well then, Itztli, I am up here because right now they all have their own lives to live, and I don't fit into that equation."

545500

>>545492
"Well she can be a bear just for the bearing ceremony!"

>>545494

"I think it was a foolish endeavor. Piracy is… usually a good gamble. We hit targets of opportunity. The mutiny was not one of those times. It was all just… foolishness."

>>545496
She giggles.

"Don't take this the wrong way, but that sounded quite forced."

>>545497
She thinks for a time.

"Do you… wish you were big? I know that growing up I always wanted to be big, but when I lived with you I wanted to be smaller so I could fit in and go outside."

>>545498
"Goodnight, Selena."

545501

>>545499
"FORCE YOURSELF INTO THE EQUATION NO ONE WILL DO IT FOR YOU YOU MUST LIVE LIFE FOR YOURSELF YOU ARE FOOLISH TO DO OTHERWISE IF YOU LIVE ON THE OUTSKIRTS YOU WILL DIE ON THE OUTSKIRTS AND WHAT MAKES THIS PATHETIC IS THAT PIRACY IS ALREADY ON THE OUTSKIRTS SO YOU ARE ON THE EDGE OF THE EDGE YOU SHOULD AT LEAST FIT IN AMONG OUTCASTS."

545502

>>545500
I trot out.
I squee.
"Did you hear that, Who? I'll get to learn stagemancy. Maybe I'll be a real magician after all!"
Is my doppleganger still here?

545503

>>545500
>>545495
"That I agree, the mutiny is really something foolish… its such a waste of manpower and resources. Not to mention good friends." I look down and grit my teeth.
I ponder.
"If it is a foolish endeavor then why be captain here? I mean its been some time but Sir Smitts chose you for a reason."

545504

>>545500
Tilt my head "I haven't thought about it. It is great to be big?"

545505

>>545502
She trots along beside you.

"Yeah, I heard. I think you are already."

>>545503
"We… all had a history. It's… a story long before you time. Long before any of this. Damn… where do the years go? It's… not a happy ending. Not tonight. Some other night, I promise, okay?"

545506

>>545500
Shrug, and match her giggle with a chuckle.
"Oversea poets don't translate well.
Or maybe they just are pretentious like that.
Then, milady, I will suggest you something quite bold, but as real as the setting sun.
One touch, one moment to be with you, and make those nights not so cold anymore.
"
Give her a direct gaze, confident in my tone.

Roll #1 1 = 1

545507

>>545504
"It's good sometimes… I think it's better to be just the right size."

545508

>>545506
She laughs at you and with a flick of her kimono, she's up and away.

Damn… that… you're a little red in the face after that one. Cool yourself off… deep breath.

545509

>>545505
I look at her and smile.
"Hmmm…. alright then captain, perhaps some other time, perhaps with rum and drink after our first ship capture aye?"

545510

>>545505
Dispel her.
"Aw, you're such a gentlepony..or gentlebreezie, Who. I bet the girls back home loved you."

545511

>>545507
Nod. "The right size is important. A wrong size screw is useless after all. "

545512

>>545508
Fuck you, asian whore.
No, you know what, let her think she's alone.
Stand up and follow, from enough of a distance.

545513

>>545509
"Yes, perhaps that'd be a better day."

>>545510
He laughs. "I like a challenge. That is why I learned big pony languages."

>>545511
Felix laughs. "You're a little screw now?"

>>545512
She's headed around the castle, slowly making her way back over to the mercantile district.

545514

>>545501
Laugh grimly.
"You think I don't know that? I'm twenty years old, Itztli; for a slum rat who grew up to be a thief, I'm in the later part of middle-aged. Everypony I ever really trusted either stabbed me in the back…"
Adopt a thousand-yard stare for a moment.
"…or hurt me worse than any guardsman's sword ever could.
I envy them; they have a family, ponies they can count on through thick or thin. I… I don't know how to do that. How to go to sleep in the same room as someone without taking precautions to keep them from stabbing me in the back."

545515

>>545514
"STOP BEING DRAMATIC YOU DON'T HAVE TO LEARN TO TRUST TO HAVE A DIALOGUE WITH A PONY STOP WAITING FOR THEM TO INITIATE AND START CONVERSATIONS FOR YOURSELF."

545516

>>545511
I nod, oblivious to his implications.
"It's very brave of you to come with us.
The pony world must be very intimidating for breezies."
Hmmm. I suppose Face is out tonight?

545517

>>545513
Does around the castle mean around silent, dark and unseen places?

545518

>>545515
"Why bother? I'm probably leaving as soon as my contract expires; better not to leave any loose ends to tie up."

545519

>>545513
"Yes it will be Ms. September it will be a better day for all of us."
I then stand up and nod.
"Captain."

I then leave and head up the deck.to scan the horizon for ships. Also check if the Hourglass is at full working condition.

545520

>>545519
'1d10'

Roll #1 4 = 4

545521

>>545513
"Hey! I'm still the big sister. " my face gets red and then I feel my golden bolt. "Ah, well. I am better for small jobs now." Smile softly.

545522

>>545516
You stop by his cabin. Passionate sounds come from within. It's unclear if this is business or pleasure. You've learned in the last months that his job requires him to 'open doors' for the fleet. Sometimes this isn't pretty.

>>545517
Nowhere is silent, and there are still a lot of ponies out. Dark, yes.

>>545518
"YOU ARE POSITIVELY UNINTERESTING AND YOUR LACK OF PASSION DISGUSTS ME YOU MUST EITHER COMMIT TO ME NOW THAT YOU WILL MAKE AN EFFORT OR I WILL CEASE TO BE YOUR MENTOR."

>>545519
>>545520
The Hourglass is in ship shape. Ha!

>>545521
She gives you a bug hug.

"If I could be littler for you I would do it, big sis. But for now I am gonna have to be the big sister to the outside world, but you'll always be the big sister to me."

545523

>>545522
Hug her back. "Well. It doesn't matter how big you are. You're still the little sis."

545524

>>545522
Not worth it then.
There are many, many fishes in the sea. Plenty of ponies still out even if it's black, no?
Look for pretty mares.
There's always pretty mares around.

Roll #1 7 = 7

545525

>>545522
Cast him a sideways glance.
"A mentor, eh? You know what? Fine, I'll see if I can make some 'friends.' Not like I've got anything to go back to, anyway.
So, how do I do this?"

545526

>>545522
"Oh…"
I giggle.
"I guess we better don't disturb him, Who."

Do I see Itztli out there?

545527

>>545523
She gives you a mischievous smile. "I am, huh?"

She gently tickles your tummy with a hoof.

>>545524
There are some young schoolgirls about. None of the fancy makeup or clothes – they're in uniforms and enjoying the night out. Awa is a rare home to a university, and even rarer home to a university where women are allowed to study. Of course, only proper subjects, like home care, tradition, shrine keeping, etc.

>>545525
"THE FIRST STEP IS TO COME UP WITH SOMETHING INTERESTING ABOUT YOURSELF WHICH SHOULDN'T BE TOO HARD I SEE YOUR FATE YOU ARE HANDY BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY PONIES LIKE TO TALK ABOUT THEMSELVES KEEP ASKING THEM WHAT THEY WANT AND ABOVE ALL THE BEST WAY TO BOND IS TO GET INTO CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATIONS WITH ANOTHER FOR INSTANCE GO OUT ON JOBS OR SIGN A LEASE TOGETHER OR ADOPT A CHILD IN SHOWBUSINESS THIS IS CALLED A SUBPLOT YOU MUST FIND YOUR SUBPLOT IMMEDIATELY I NOTICE YOU ALMOST HAVE ONE BURGEONING WITH THE ALCHEMIST SEIZE UPON THIS SUBPLOT AND LEARN TO BREW WITH HER GROW CLOSE TO HER AND ESTABLISH THE FRIENDSHIP."

>>545526
You don't see him so much as hear him. You even think you pick out your name. It's coming from the crow's nest!

545528

>>545527
I wonder what's going on up there.
Good thing I didn't hear all of that.
Climb up.
"Hello, anypony here?"

545529

>>545522
Well the ship is in ship shape! That is good.
Very good.

Now lets find that Felix or whatever her name is.

545530

>>545528
"MY STUDENT WAS ABOUT TO TELL YOU HOW MUCH HE APPRECIATES YOUR INVITATION TO EXPERIMENT TOGETHER WITH ALCHEMY."

>>545529
She's playing with her doll on deck.

545531

>>545530
I jump up.
"Who? Who said that?"
Look around for a large minotaur that somehow got in the crows nest.

545532

>>545530
"Hello there, still playing with your doll eh?" I smile and sits next to her.

545533

>>545527
Don't laugh '1d10'
"Always will be!"

Roll #1 3 = 3

545534

>>545527
I'd show them the way of my dragon if you catch my drift.
But still, university girls, with their lovely miniskirts.
"Enjoying the night life?"
Approach them casually.

Roll #1 2 = 2

545535

>>545527
"Alright, I can do that. I was going to do that.
…Is there any rules against-"
>>545528
"Oh! Oh, um… Hi. I… Like alchemy.."
>>545531
Oh. Doiy.
"Up here! It's this loud-mouthed bunny I was just talking to!"

545536

>>545534
There was not meant to be a roll with that, but whatever, at this point.

545537

>>545535

I look at the bunny suspiciously.

545538

>>545531
Just a cute bunny here with the goat.

"YOU HAVE BECOME RELEVANT SO WE SHALL INTRODUCE OURSELVES NOW YES THIS IS ITZTLI."

>>545533
>>545532
Her doll lets out a… big burst of laughter as she's tickled.

"Oh YEAH? – whoops uh – uh – shh!"

545539

>>545538
I take a few steps back.
"Uh…hi…I'm…Selena."
I pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming.

545540

>>545538
'1d10' suppress laughter fast.

Roll #1 5 = 5

545541

>>545534
There are giggles all around.

"Just get off work?"

>>545535
"RULES NEVER MATTER."

>>545539
Nope, not dreaming.

"YES I HAVE OBSERVED YOU I THINK YOU WILL DO FINE."

545542

>>545540
Nope! You take way too long to stop giggling like the teensy tiny little pony you are.

545543

>>545541
Shift to a side and reveal the sword.
"Not quite."

545544

>>545541
"Fine…for what?"

545545

>>545538
My mouth open wide for a moment before shaking myself and points at the doll
"That…. doll laughed."

"That doll laughed right?"

545546

>>545539
"Don't worry, I see him too. To be honest, I've kind of taken a shine to him. So, ah… We were actually just talking about…stuff."
>>545541
"Careful now. A thief without rules can be a dangerous thing."

545547

>>545546
"Well he's…..certainly interesting."

545548

>>545543
She sticks out her tongue. "Samurai gotta work too."

>>545544
"HE WILL TALK TO YOU."

>>545545
"Umm… nope!"

545549

>>545542
>>545545
Oh fuck..
"uhh press my stomach. Pretend I'm a laughing toy. '

545550

>>545549
>>545545
She presses on the stomach of her doll.

"See! It's uh… a toy that laughs when you press it!"

545551

>>545547
I'll go ahead and swing down through the rigging…
Maybe showing off a bit? '1d10+1'
"Not the word I used, but yes."

Roll #1 3 + 1 = 4

545552

>>545548
My ears flop again.
"Okay…well, nice to meet you, Itztli. Maybe we'll meet again sometime."

>>545546
I turn to Hircus.
"What is he talking about? What is he?!?"

545553

>>545550
Laugh convincingly '1d10'

Roll #1 10 = 10

545554

>>545548
Shake my head with a tiny smile.
"There's a war at our doorsteps, I will get plenty of work tomorrow.
Meanwhile, why not have fun in the night instead?
"

545555

>>545552
"I don't know. I went up in the rigging to think for a bit and satisfy the urge to climb, and all of a sudden there he is, yelling at me about 'why aren't you out making friends?"

545556

>>545548
>>545550
I look at her with suspicion.
"I saw you talking to it last time while we are waiting for the ships."

And stare at her straight in the eye.
"You know that girls who lie dont go straight to pony heaven."
I then stand up and raise my arms high in the air with my claws showing and make an attempt to scare her.
"All those who are dishonest will go to Davy Doges Locker far beneath the sea!! Where they will serve the tentacled doge of the sea FOREVER!!"

Intimidate in an… atttempt to make her tell the truth?
'1d10'

Roll #1 7 = 7

545557

>>545551
You charmingly get yourself all knotted up in the ropes like a Dreamworks character.

>>545553
Such a convincing laugh, even Felix starts to wonder if you're just a doll!

545558

>>545555
"Huh…"
I look back up.
"He must be nicer than he sounds if he cares about that. But he doesn't see a lot. You already have friends."
I smile.

545559

>>545554
That was supposed to be green.

545560

>>545554
"Oooh? Sensei you can't have all of us."

Roll it!

>>545556
>>545553
It was SUCH a convincing laugh, though.

545561

>>545557
>>545553
I then stop.
"Wait…. that is a doll." I bite my finger.

545562

>>545557
I giggle softly as he gets stuck.
"Here, let me try to get you out."
Fly up and get him loose '1d10'

Roll #1 8 = 8

545563

>>545560
Smirk.
"Can't I?"

Roll #1 2 = 2

545564

>>545560
>>545561
Sit down again
"Say where did you get that?"

545565

>>545561
"Yep! I forgive you! She's really real!"

545566

>>545561
>>545565
>>545564
Smile to myself and watch.

545567

>>545562
No prob for a sciency pony like you.

You love working with ropes! And not just all that bondage you probably engage in.

>>545563
They all laugh. "You're too much sensei!"

And they're off.

545568

>>545557
Oops, heheh. This, ah…
>>545562
Oh.
"Thanks. Guess I'm not as familiar with this rigging as I thought. So, ah… What are you up to?"

545569

>>545567
Kids, I guess.
Let's not waste any time and look around some more.
Maybe change zone.
'1d10'

Roll #1 1 = 1

545570

>>545567
LIES, LIES AND SLANDER.
THOSE PICS WERE SHOPPED!

>>545568
"I was taking a little stroll before going to bed."

545571

>>545570
D…Damnit. and I was looking forward to letting you tie me down ;_;
"Do you… mind if I join you? I've got nothing else to do at the moment."

545572

>>545565
I then relax.
"Now that we are in the ship I think we can talk for a little while longer eh?"
I look at her.
"Say how did a little thing like you ended up in Neighpon?"

545573

>>545569
You spend all night on sleazy lines and you don't end up with anypony. The worst part is that since you're not an officer you spend the evening in the bunkhouse surrounded by menials, many of whom are having sex among themselves.

Well… maybe there's still a chance on the fleet… maybe a menial mare (or stallion if you prefer) who would respect a raider-ranked pony?

545574

>>545573
Well, can't hurt to try.
Can I eye anymare not engaged right now?
'1d10'

Roll #1 6 = 6

545575

>>545571
"I don't mind. So Hircus, where do you come from?"

545576

>>545572
"I came here a year ago with my family but go separated…"

>>545574
You wander the halls looking for someone…

Eventually you spot a very lonely looking griffon hen. I guess it depends on if you like catbirds. And you might be desperate.

545577

>>545576
I gotta wipe it with something tonight.
Whistle at her.
"Want company?"

545578

>>545575
"I don't remember the name of which specific one, but I was born and grew up in several equestrian cities. My… caretaker moved around a lot, so the names all sort of blurred together.
That's… not the most interesting description, but it's the truth."

545579

>>545578
"Your caretaker?"

545580

>>545576
"I see, that is too bad…. and a bit neglectful of your parents? You're lucky I found you because with the war going on it is doubtful that you may be able to…. get home."

545581

>>545577
"I dunno… I'm just a little nervous about tomorrow…"

Roll dip with seduction

>>545580
"Big sis found me! And… I'll be alright!"

545582

>>545580
>>545576
"we'll find them. In equestria for sure."

545583

>>545581
I actually want to talk with her first
"First battle?"
Sit by her side.

545584

>>545579
"Mentor, provider, the stallion who kept me alive and taught me everything I know. I wasn't the only kid he took in; it was more of a business than a family.
Sorry, I'm going to depress you if we keep talking about my past. What about you? What was your home life like?"

545585

>>545584
I pause a moment, then continue.
"I grew up in Dawnwood, a small city north of Vanhoover. I lived there with my mother."

545586

>>545581
"Big sis? Well then you are a lucky thing then for a Celestian Sister pony taking care of you before we arrive." I scruffle her hair.

545587

>>545583
"I normally do merchant ships… but I really need the money."

>>545582
"For sure!"

545588

>>545585
"Dawnwood… that sounds like a nice place. Did you enjoy it there?"

545589

>>545586
"Eh? Oh yeah… that seems like so long ago I've thought about Her…"

545590

>>545588
"It was a nice enough town, in the middle of the pine forests near the Frozen North. We always had a white Heart Warmings Eve. I helped my mother with our potion shop."

>>545589
I bet I see Felix a bit further.

545591

>>545589
I then look at her straight in the eye.
All the while stroking her mane.
"Well now you are with us…. for a little bit of time."

"You see Ms. Felix, the ships will not be going straight to Equestria as of this time. Perhaps in the future we will go to Equestria but as of now we got some work to do that will lead us staying here in Neighpon for some time, you understand?"

545592

>>545587
"Don't rush in. Don't get blindsided. Don't stand in the front or the rear of a charge. Don't stop the flow of battle.
Check your corners and check the sky. Wear protections.
That's about all there's to the job. The rest is only muscle memory."
Smile at her.

545593

>>545587
" this dog seems very interested in you. Ask him what he does on the ship. And what kind of creatures he has seen in his travels. "

545594

>>545591
Uhh 'accidentally fall' between those two. '1d10' subtly roll

Roll #1 6 = 6

545595

>>545590
"It sounds lovely. Why am I not surprised?
So, your mother owned a potion shop? I can't imagine she was happy when you started making things blow up."

545596

>>545590
Yep, right there.

>>545591
She seems a little uncomfortable but doesn't tell you to stop.

"Um, so what do you do here?"

>>545592
"I'm not even part of the real battle. I'm a sailor by trade, I'm going to be managing the sails… but a stray cannonball could still hit me at any time."

She groans. "I get why… all the others are going at each other in the bunks right now. They know that they have to enjoy every night because it might be their last. Hey… Neighponese pony… do you think that love can bloom, even on the battlefield?"

>>545594
Tactical drop!

545597

>>545595
I laugh
"Oh she didn't teach me that until I was old enough. You may think I'm careful, but she taught me."

>>545596
I wave.
"Hey Felix."

>>545591
"Hello, mr Chip."

545598

>>545597
"Hi ma'am!"

545599

>>545596
Smirk at her, looking into her eyes.
"I don't know about love, but I know about having a good time."

545600

>>545598
I smile.
"I see you're getting used to the ship already. That's good."

545601

>>545596
Success. Ah but we have company now anyway? Look them over. '1d10'

Roll #1 9 = 9

545602

>>545596
>>545594
Stop doing my thing and grab the doll.
"Oh here." and give it to her back.

"As for what I do, I am a first mate of these ship also a good ship builder you see. Basically I maintain the ships so it wont sink you see."

>>545597
Whoa where.. wha..
"Hello there Selena, I was talking to our new ship mate Ms. Felix."

545603

>>545599
"Is that all there really is then?"

Roll!

>>545600
"Still a lot to learn!"

>>545601
This jingly mare has a bunch of baubles on her outfit!

And she has a goat with her! A shady one.

WHOOP! You were picked back up!

>>545602
"Oh, thanks."

545604

>>545600
"Yup she is. I hope you too are already accustomed to the waves Ms. Selena." I smile.

545605

>>545597
"I suppose that means you learned with a lot less trial and error than I did. What else did she teach you, aside from how to blow things up?"
>>545602
"Hello there."

545606

>>545603
Shake my head.
"But the little things, you have to find out as you play along."
Lean forwards.

Roll #1 2 = 2

545607

>>545605
"Hello there, so the whole gang is here." I smile.
"Well not LigthHeart, Emrille, Abilio, Ms. September and… well you know what I mean." I laugh.

545608

>>545603
I smile as I see her doll.
"Make sure to take good care of her. You see my hat here?"
I tip my hat.

>>545604
"It's going better already."

545610

>>545606
She pushes you away.

"Thank you for your advice… I just… I can't do this… Not tonight… thank you again."

She takes off. What a terrible end to a terrible night.

>>545608
"It's fancy… hey, wait, what's in your hair?"

Who adjusts himself.

>>545609
"Is that a Breezie on her?"

545611

>>545608
"That sounds far safer than what we learned. Most of it was focused on 'don't eat this' or 'this can be used to make smokebombs.' Do you think you could maybe teach me?"
>>545607
"I suppose so, though I'm not technically part of the gang yet."

545612

>>545610
"Well my hat…."
I guess the story can wait.
"Oh, that's Who. He's a breezie and a cutie."

>>545611
"Well, I suppose I could show you how to identify herbs next time we go on land. That's the basics."

545613

>>545610
Before she storms off, shout after her.
"Take care pretty bird."
Sigh, with a smile on my face, and fall defeated on the ground after watching her go.
Wonder if she will be alive, tomorrow.
Wonder if I will care, tomorrow.
Wonder if there's a hole in the wall I can stick it in because I got denied so many fucking times it's not even funny.

545614

>>545610
"is it? Does that mean I am okay? ..better make sure. Ask if its her servant. "

545615

>>545611
"Oh come on now man, you got to be at home with the sea's. I am sure once we got our first ship and if you perform relatively good you will be regarded as one of us." I smile.

>>545608
"Well that is good." I nod.
"So you and Cirrus are still studying… the chest right?"

545616

>>545612
"I think I'd like that. I'm… very glad I met you."
>>545615
"Maybe. That assumes I make it that far…
Sorry, I'm a bit of a pessimist. So, what have you been up to so far?"

545617

>>545612
"A breezie! You let them be here?"

>>545613
According to legend, samurai had special relationships with their swords because women were hard to come by on the road. Such a night as tonight you're glad you love your sword.

>>545614
"Will try."

545618

>>545617
"Of course. He hides when on land, but here he's free to do as he pleases."

545619

>>545618
"Oh.. .that's really good news!"

545620

>>545616
"A little bit of rum here and there will help with that. Dont worry." I smile.
"As for what I've been doing, I was talking with Felix before you two showed up,"

545621

>>545619
"You like breezies too? They're so cute."

545622

>>545617
I will just go to bed.
Too tired to even try again.

545623

>>545617
"Why? Do neighponese consider them pests or something? I don't understand why we wouldn't let breezies be here."

545624

>>545621
I look at Selena.
"Breezie? Whats a Breezie?"

545625

>>545619
>>545618
"…well in that case!" Shake alive and wave and the pretty mare.

545626

>>545615
"We haven't for a while. The captain merely wanted me to take an inventory for now."

>>545616
"I'm glad to have met you too. Now I wonder what happened to that goat. She told me she was going to start her own island."

545631

"Well that is good." I smile.
"Breezie's… ah now I remember, Light Heart kept one. Is that him on your hat?"

>>545629
>>545625
I then stop and frown with irritation present on my face.
"…… I was right all along."

545632

>>545623
"Yea.. we aren't really welcome a lot of places.."
>>545629
Free my wings and float up to get to eye level with them . "Hello!"

I look at him for a moment a bit confused.
"Wait? Whats with you all of sudden?"

>>545636
"…….. what is it with you?"

545643

"Yes! Felix is younger So she is the little sister and I teach her things and help her. " say proudly.

Bow in response.
"Likewise. I must admit, I'm curious how you and your little sister came to be together."
>>545638
"Well, this is an interesting development, is it not?"
>>545642
"They are children. We hold all the power over them. The only weapon they have to protect themselves is secrecy. And when they display the trust to hand over that secrecy, you respond with anger?"

545646

>>545642
Bow a few times "I'm really sorry I had to lie to you. But it was so we could stay together! Please forgive us?"

545647

>>545646
"There is nothing to forgive. In your situation, I would have done exactly the same thing."

545648

>>545645
"A very good development!!"

>>545643
"Wow, she's so lucky to know you. C-could you sit on my nuzzle for just a second? I would like to take a look at your wings. Please?"
Give my sincerest smile.

"LightHeart, Emrille, Tela…. I mean even Summer Breeze, that cute little filly doctor who help us back then? Now those ponies are trustworthy and I tell you now that I will lay my life for them no matter what."

I then smile again.
"Why? Do I look untrustworthy to you?" I grin before I stand up to everyone.

545678

Iunno. Early morning unless you want to talk to LH.

With that she gallops around you and takes of. "I saw another filly get on. I gotta go greet my new subject."

Grey follows after.

545679

>>545678
"Of course. Be nice to her, would you?"

Now… back to Rosemary and Wark.
"Tomorrow is going to be quite something…"

545680

>>545679
Rosemary nuzzles you. "As far as I'm concerned, we're out of the most dangerous part now that neither of us is pregnant."

"She means the fightin' lass. I'll keep ye and the little ones outta harm's way."

545681

>>545680
I nod.
"It will be very interesting to put the Sirocco through her paces. The Darklanter will do most of the shooting, of course, but that does not mean the Sirocco will stay out of the battle."

545682

>>545681
Rosemary fishes her doctor bag out of the closet.

"You want me to help?" It's a little muffled because of the handle.

Wark has returned, with a faint smile, to the bed where he plays with Adel and Lilly, blowing raspberries on their stomachs. Little Adel stretches lethargically while Lilly giggles energetically.

545683

>>545682
"I may need your help… doctors are quite literally worth their weight in gold."

545684

>>545683
She gives you a coy smile. "You know my only fee~"

"Ach. I was thinkin' ya might ask wunna yer smith friends ta help build a crib fer little Adel and Lilly."

545685

>>545678
Waking up with a raging hard on time?
Nah.
Let's go take a piss off the side of the boat and smell the fresh air. See who's around.

545686

>>545685
It's still early morning, so only guards are out in the city. Today is Sunday and a Celestia missionary is out in the square early trying to convert, but he hasn't built up a listening base yet. The ships are mostly quiet, only a few sleepy menials wandering the deck.

545687

>>545684
"I do."
I chuckle.
"Your rates are very favorable for me."

To Wark
"That is a good idea… But I doubt they will have the time to until this war is over, they will likely be busy maintaining the ships until then. I will ask them nonetheless."

545688

Morning already. Is Felix up?

545689

>>545686
Everyone asleep then. How dreadfully wasteful.
Is there nopony here who will do battle, tonight?

545690

>>545687
"Let's enjoy tonight like it'll be our last~"

"HP has taken ta sleepin' back in tha mansion. If… ya want ta be alone, I'll go take tha kids over there. Unless, ahem, ya want me ta drop them off and come back."

Rosemary gives him an appreciative smile.

Over the last few months Wark has taken you up on your original offer of sharing the Royal Assassin size bed, and even with one adult pony and one adult donkey on either side of you, it still feels quite big, since it was designed for an orgy of no less than six.

>>545689
Perhaps there will be someone if you go out into the city. Or maybe you could whip a menial into shape as a sparring partner. Certainly no one guard here would be your match as Bear was. Only the great court samurai of Awa would hold their own against you – or a whole patrol of guards.

>>545688
She's snuggled cutely into the corner like a little cinnamon roll! And what a nice, soft pillow little sis makes!

Wake her up? Explore? Look for goodies to invent with?

545691

I should visit Cloudy.

545692

>>545691
You stop by in the evening after Selena's gone, and hear noises of pleasure from within. You suspect that if you disturb them you're going to spend the evening pint-sized. Bother them anyway, or come back in the morning?

545693

>>545690
"I would rather not leave them somewhere alone… Do give us some privacy if you do not mind."

545694

>>545690
No use in taking it out on the menials, they are tense enough without me hounding them.
But I can always ask.
Find a vantage point on looking down on the ship and raise my voice just high enough for everyone on deck to hear.
"A morning spar before we take off! Who's with me?"

545695

>>545692
Bah.
Later in the morning.

545696

First things first as I wake up; make sure I haven't been spotted.
This place looked nice and secretive last night, but you always check, just in case.

545697

>>545693
"Well, Happy would look after them, but… I understand."

Wark lovingly hoists Lilly and Adel. "Up ye little munchkins. Comon now." He gives them one last loving nuzzle and perhaps a brief look of longing at the two of you mares before taking them away to care for the evening. Happy may enjoy being around kids, but you get the feeling that they're going to be much better cared for under Wark's fatherly eye.

>>545694
A diamond dog laying on the deck cracks an eye open.

"Oi, morning spear? Izzit nine bong arready? Sun's not up!"

>>545695
Morning it is! Light streams pleasantly through the windows of the Darklantern. Abilio and Cloudy are up for the day and moving about, working on sea charts.

>>545696
Nah, the nice thing about the Darklantern is that the dark corners feel ESPECIALLY dark here. Very sneaking, good place for sneaky buck.

You dream about Lilly's wedding day. It's odd… something you never thought you'd have to think about, given your condition. She's there in her veil, approaching the altar. You haven't aged a day, perhaps because it's a dream, perhaps because you never find a better solution than temporary age treatments. You can't really focus on the groom's face, but it's a proud moment.

>>545714
Wow, this place is barren. This fleet must be absolutely strapped for cash.

>>545716
Abilio and Cloudy burst out laughing.

>>545715
To a goat, everything is edible. You see menials, ships, grass, buildings…

545718

Growl at them.
"What's so fucking amusing?"

Look at my window. what time is it?

"Let's see how well you do when the enemy comes for you, then."

545721

Finally, Cloudy nods through her giggles.

Abilio clarifies: "We were just remarking on how sometimes you act more like our adopted daughter than our employee. Especially when you throw temper tantrums."

He ruffles your mane. "Don't worry, it's a good thing."

>>545719
Still very early morning. Sun isn't up.

>>545720
He gives you a crooked grin."I think I'll leave that bit fer you and go hide in a barrel."

545722

>>545717
Bah. I will just explore then. Where can I go?

545723

>>545717
Hmmm… I hope this is a dream that will one day come true.

But while dreams are fine and all, you can't let them blind your view on the real world. When I wake up, I'll wash and have some breakfast.

545724

>>545721
Roll my eyes.
"Suit yourself."
Turn around.
"Is there anypony here with a bit of ambition or courage left?"

545725

>>545723
Early morning. Rosemary is still sprawled out on the bed, asleep.

545726

>>545717
Well, nobody'd miss one of the menials… gaah, if only I had some spices!
Ah well, maybe some other time. Is there anything lying around that doesn't look like it's being used?

545727

>>545721
Snort annoyedly and jerk my head away.
"Family is bullshit. Spring was saying the same crap and look where she is now, she left, just like that."

545728

>>545722
All over these ships! They're huge even if you're a big pony! Or… into town? You might want Felix for that.

>>545724
He chimes in from behind you. "Not a one! All gone, mate!"

>>545726
Hm… you do spy an empty barrel…

The grass would probably be even less used though.

>>545727
They go back into another fit of laughs. "Yes, something like that. Now is there something you wanted?"

545729

>>545728
"Keep living in your barrel then.
Is that what you want?"

545730

>>545721
Alright lets go and grab something to munch on before going on deck of the Hourglass, who is managing the ship.

545731

All right then, guess I'm grazing for breakfast today. Munch munch munch.

545732

>>545729
"Suits me fine. I'll probably outlive you, not by any effort of my own."

>>545730
You're starving! You haven't eaten in three days. Better go get your rations.

…Ugh, it's slop.

>>545731
You munch that grassy carpet like a fine prostitute!

545733

>>545728
Wish them to hell under my breath, but take out the sword-thingy I got from Old Ben.
"I inherited this, and I was wondering if you could help me figure out why Old Ben would give me this when he knew I was a markspony."

545734

>>545725
I'll wait for her to wake up a while longer. If she doesn't, up I go as well.

545735

>>545728
Float around the deck, appraise the sails.
Oh maybe I can make a model of these ships later. '1d10' appraise the sails of sirocco.

Roll #1 5 = 5

545736

>>545732
"I've been doing this for longer than you have lived, probably."

545737

>>545733
Abilio looks it over.

"It's a conduit for elemental energy. A sort of… magic sword. They were popularized some six hundred years ago if I recall correctly. Battlemage weapon. Like Tela, actually."

>>545736
"All that means is that I'll outlive you by even longer."

>>545735
Hm… they're squared unlike other ship sails you've seen… okay, you've got a general idea.

545738

>>545734
She sleeps in. Up you go! Where to?

545739

>>545737
Chuckle.
"One day, kid. One day."

545740

>>545732
Hey, take your kicks where you can get them, right?
Now, what's in that barrel?

545741

>>545738
Lazy pony. She'll need the rest though.
Who's the officer on duty?

545742

>>545737
"Think I should gift it to her?"

545743

>>545732
I just frown at the sight, isnt there better food around here?
'1d10'

Hmmmm perhaps Lacy Doily can help with my dilemna.

Roll #1 4 = 4

545744

>>545737
>>545737
Maybe someone dropped something on deck that I can use to play around with. '1d10'

Roll #1 2 = 2

545745

>>545739
He shrugs.

"Could be today. Battle's comin'."

>>545740
Back on the ship. Eat it?

>>545741
Face has the helm. He's looking a little disheveled from last night.

>>545742
"If you care to. You can both use Elemental magic, right?"

>>545743
Sadly, no. The fleet can't afford better right now – you could go out on the town and buy food though.

Lacy is sleeping in the bunkhouse.

>>545744
Hm… there is rope! Rope is good.

545746

>>545745
Time for a chat then.
"Mister Face. You are looking positively bright today."

545747

>>545745
"Yeah, but I use my guns as a… uh, conductor. Y'know."

545748

>>545746
"Eh? Bright?"

545749

>>545745
Check to make sure it's empty first.

545750

>>545747
"Well, whatever you want to do with it."

545751

>>545749
Yep. Sure are a lot of empty barrels on this fleet. It needs money bad.

545752

>>545748
I nod.
"Work… or pleasure?"

545753

>>545745
Rope alone is no good. But of I just take a little no pony will miss it. Like that time I took the extra acron shell. I mean how many hats do we really really need right?

545754

>>545750
"Well, thanks. Anyway, I'll leave you to do whatever you're doing."
Turn around and leave.
Chance encounter?
'1d12'

Roll #1 1 = 1

545755

>>545745
"True warrior do not fear battle."

545756

>>545745
Are we docked btw? If so perhaps buy some stocks for myself and long lasting food like jerkies and stuff.

545757

>>545751
Alright then, eat the barrel, then head out into the town to see if I can't make some money the way I do best.

545758

>>545752
"I'd say both, but this time I can't. Just work. In the local culture it is very rude to refuse a gift, and Abilio was offered a pack of the daimyo's whores for the night. So I had to dress up as him and pleasure them into submission so they'd leave. It was some kind of workout. I am too exhausted."

>>545753
The rope is huge to you, so you unravel it and take just one of the three main threads.

>>545754
You do a doubletake when, on deck, you're sure you spot "Tough Guy" Salty Slugs out in the middle of town. He was the old chef on the Seaworthy, you remember his cooking!

>>545755
"Don't gotta fear it to eat it."

>>545756
Yep. How much food? A pound of chicken jerky is 3000 songs.

>>545757
Pulpy.

To the town! Sadly barely anyone is out but the guards this early in the morning…

545759

>>545758
Nice. I should check on Felix now.

545760

>>545758
"Oh my… No wonder you are so exhausted. If you wish, I could take over from you for a while."

545761

>>545758
Sneak around and check for decent targets. '1d10'

Roll #1 6 = 6

545762

>>545758
Fly over there.
"Well, look who we have here."

545763

>>545758
I look at the merchant.
"3000 song? I am not familiar with that, how much in golden bits?"
Look at the merchant if he is telling the truth.
'1d10'

Roll #1 5 = 5

545764

>>545759
She's still lazing around. Ears twitching slightly as the sun slowly works its way up.

She did get used to a sedentary lifestyle living in your basement…

>>545760
"That'd be good… later…"

He limps off.

>>545761
There are no real ponies to target. Maybe a shop? It's a little riskier of course.

Homes are very bad targets because ponies will be inside at this hour.

>>545762
"Hm? Emrille? What're you doing in Awa?"

>>545763
He seems honest enough.

"It's about 30 bits."

545765

>>545764
"Business. What are you doing here? I thought you died."

545766

>>545765
"I thought you died. I thought everyone died."

545767

>>545764
Poor guy. Too much pleasure isn't good either.

I'll stand on watch then. Might enjoy this calm before the storm.

545768

>>545764
Give him 30 bits for the pound of jerky before heading back on deck and see if I can cook/eat some.

545769

>>545766
Smirk.
"Nope, the fleet is up and running!"

545770

>>545764
Ah well then, I'll have to come back later. For now, I'll head back to the ship and see if anyone I know is up and about.

545771

>>545758
"Makes it easier to live with it.
But do as you wish, I'm not gonna waste any more time on you."

545772

>>545767
You watch the sun slowly rise. Eventually you probably ought to go check on your 'master' and let him know that the kids can return. He has been awfully faithful about taking care of your pack of four kids in spite of only blood relations with one. Then again, you're only blood with two of them.

>>545768
You eat a nice 8oz hunk and keep the rest for later.

>>545769
"Oh yeah? Huh. Well, good luck to you I guess. Sounds like you have plenty already, though."

>>545770
Flowing is pestering some diamond dog. Light Heart is at the helm. Emrille is on land talking to somepony. Chip is eating jerky.

545773

#Pause

545774

For people who want to talk one-on-one, I'm in my lab some some time during the day.

Currently I'll go meet LH at the helm.
"Hello, miss Heart. On watch so early?"

545775

>>545774
After I decided not to bother Abilio and his waifu, I run into you in the evening.
What are the chances!
Smirk.
"Heh, hey there cupcake."

545776

>>545774
"Good morning, miss Springleaf. Mister Face was feeling rather exhausted as he was occupied with business all night, so I offered to take his shift."

545777

>>545775
I halt, surprised but then recompose myself '1d10'

Roll #1 9 = 9

545778

>>545777
Good pony is very composed.
"Hello, miss Emrille." I say with a tint of sourness.

>>545776
I giggle.
"I wanted to drop by his cabin last night. But let's say it was plain to hear that he was very occupied."

545779

>>545778
>>545777
Lean against the wall.
"What are you up to, huh?"

545780

>>545779
"I was here to discuss something with the Commodore." I say matter of factly.
"…what are you up to?"

545781

>>545780
"I was going to ask them something too, but they were busy fucking each other."

545782

>>545781
Perk an eyebrow.
"Well…it seems I left right on time then."

545783

>>545774
I suppose I'll come stop by your lab.
"Hello there. I'm… not intruding, am I?"

545784

>>545782
Snicker.
"Yeah, those two, fucking like rabbits all the time, and if you interrupt them, Abilio will turn you into a filly or someshit."

545785

>>545784
I give you a disbelieving look.
"Even if the Commodore could do age magic, which would be very impressive, I doubt he'd do that over such a silly thing."

>>545783
"Ah Hircus."
I look up over some boiling cauldron.
"No, no it's fine. This stuff need to boil for a little while anyway."
I put a lid on the cauldron and wipe my hooves with a cloth while trotting to you.
"What brings you here?"

545786

>>545785
Snort.
"That fucker did it to me a lot back in the days. Hell, I even stayed a filly for weeks when he was doing the experiments."

545787

>>545778
"Yes… it appears the Daimyo saw fit to send some mares over to signify his thanks to the commodore. Seeing as how the commodore was not interested and refusing such a gift would be seen as an insult, mister Face was tasked to deal with them personally. A rather large task, if you ask me."

545788

>>545785
"Well… Honestly, I like talking with you. You're probably the first pony I've been able to truly relax around in… I don't remember how long.
That's… not off-putting, is it? I don't mean to be creepy or anything."

545789

>>545786
"And why did he do that?
Because you interrupted him and Cloudy…being together?"

>>545787
"It surely sounded like he had his hooves full."

>>545788
I pause for a second, then smile.
"Not at all. It's perhaps because I've gotten used to how…spontaneous goats can be after my year with Buttermilk. It takes ponies a while to get to know goats. But don't worry, I'm sure with some time you'll fit in just fine."

545790

>>545787
>>545789
Meet the two of you at the helm of the Sirocco.
"Ladt Heart.
Lady Selena.
Ready for today?"

545791

>>545789
"Bless him and his powerful physique."
I chuckle.

545792

>>545789
"You make it sound like all goats are the same."
I chuckle.
"Still, it's good to have someone to talk to about stuff that interests me. Most ponies aren't willing to talk about explosives beyond "those are dangerous," and sneaking around… Talking about that tends to get me in trouble.
So, what are you working on? Some health tonic for aching bones or something?"

545793

>>545789
Go off in an excited rant.
"Or whenever I pissed him off… but, there was this one time, when I was filly, and I was kidnapped because this Lordblade or something dude thought I was somepony else, then he realized I wasn't and tried to kill me so I shot him in the neck, and the BAM!"
Smack my forehooves together.
"I got a cutie mark while I was shrunk down! One that was different than my last! It not only showed that my destiny is shooting things, it was a mark that showed that my destiny is shooting things with the elements!"
Smile proudly, and show off my butt.
"That's right, this is how an advanced cutie mark looks like."

545794

>>545791
"He is somepony special in that regard I've heard."

>>545790
"Ah, mister Tree. Yes, I think I'm ready for another day."

>>545792
"I've been working on health potion yes. I'm experimenting with some herbs I found while we were travelling in neighpon. And I need to make another batch of tonic for Chip to help with his occasional sea-sickness."

>>545793
I look at your buttmark.
"That's very….nice."

545795

>>545791
Raise a brow.
"Are you talking about the second mate?"
>>545794
Chuckle.
"No, I meant to ask if you were ready for today."

545796

>>545794
Glance at you with a smirk.
"C'mon, I know you like what you see."
Chuckle.
"I was expecting more of a reaction, since you seem to lust over magic and shit."

545797

>>545790
"Oh, good day, mister Tree. I am prepared for action indeed."

>>545794
I smile.
"Oh certainly. Some consider him blessed."

>>545795
"Indeed we are."

545798

>>545797
"For what I had the chance to see, he seems more of a lover than a fighter."

545799

>>545795
I chuckle.
"I think I'm ready for today as well."

>>545796
"Well it's a nice story, but I'm so tired…perhaps I should go to bed."
Slowly start backing away.

>>545797
"It sounds like you and him know each other very well." Eye-wink.

545800

>>545794
"Ah. Found out anything interesting about the neighponese herbs?
Also, do you mind if I… talk about explosives for a bit? It's just… something I don't get to talk about much."

545801

>>545798
I nod.
"He prefers a more diplomatic approach to matters, like myself."

>>545799
"Oh yes… we have spent some time together."

545802

>>545801
>>545799
"Speaking of, where will you two be during the fight?"

545803

>>545799
My smile disappears and turns into a look of suspicion. I close the distance by trotting closer.
"What's the matter with you, huh? Are you scared that you'll get the nasty dyke-disease or something?"

545804

>>545802
"Where the captain and commodore wishes me to be."

545805

>>545800
"I'm still testing them. As for explosives, show me what you got…carefully."

>>545803
I scrunch.
"….are the rumors true?"

>>545802
I perk my ears.
"Fight? Have I missed something?"

>>545803
I back up more.
"No…of course not, why would you think that?" I say quickly.

545806

>>545804
"The recent events must have wrecked avock on the previous organization of the fleet, I guess."
>>545805
"Uh…
We are heading into war, Lady Selena."

545807

>>545805
I smirk slightly.
"My… whatever makes you so curious?"
Give her a stealthy wink.
"They are true and then some."

>>545806
"We had time to reorganize now. I have full confidence in the abilities of mister Abilio as our commodore, so I follow his orders to the letter."

545808

>>545805
The scrunch and whisper was directed towards >>545801

545809

>>545805
Slowly pull out one of my bombs. When I start talking, my voice is tinged with pride.
"This is actually my own personal design. See, since I don't want to end up blowing myself up, I figured I needed to figure out a safer trigger for my grenades than usual. See this protrusion here? That's my solution."

545810

>>545807
>>545805
"…Your mind seems on something, ladies."

545811

>>545805
Keep closing the distance.
"You look just like a pony who is trying to negotiate herself out of getting shot. Are you nervous?"

545812

Lets go to Selena's lab and knock.

545813

>>545807
I blush a bit.
"I'm a curious mare."

>>545810
Straighten up again.
Turn to you.
"Maybe those ships will surrender when they see us. Why would they fight if we clearly have superior firepower?"

>>545811
I perk my ears at what you say and try to huff my chest.
"Why did you shoot at me?" I say angrily.

>>545809
I look it over very carefully.
"Very nice. The usual mixture of nitroglycering, sodium carbonate and diatomite?"

545814

>>545813
Smirk deviously.
"Oh, is that it?"
Snicker.
"If I shot at you we wouldn't be having this conversation."

545815

>>545812
"Just a second."
You hear some rummaging.
"Come in!"

545816

>>545813
Chuckle.
"That's a very hopeful line of thought, but let's reverse it.
You are at the head of a neighponese warship on a fleet that's dominating the seas ever since the war started.
Why would you be scared of three never seen before, funny looking ships?"

545817

>>545814
"You're not answering my question!"

545818

>>545817
"I guess I was curious."

545819

>>545810
"Hm? Not at all. I did answer your question."

>>545813
"Understandable. If you ever were to feel… lonely, he is the stallion to go to."

545820

>>545813
"Nah, with the amount of jumping around I do I'd be in pieces if I used nitroglycerine. Anyway, see this protrusion? It's the trigger, but here's the thing…"
Grab and twist it. it starts sliding into the bomb until only a little is sticking out.
"I got the idea from a bag of screws, actually. Very simple design, but unless I twist it in, the bomb can't go off."

545821

>>545819
Stare at the exchange between her and Selena slightly dumbfolded, but shake it off.
"Forgive me. It's just this exchange seems very…
Private. Maybe I should come back around later."

545822

>>545815
Open the door and look inside.
"Hello Selena."

545823

>>545821
"Is it?"

545824

>>545818
"Curious? About what? What would happen if you shot right next to me?"

>>545819
I wave that away with my hoof, but there's a tiny grin on my face.
"Let's change the subject for now. What do you think, miss Heart? Will we have trouble with the ships?"

>>545816
"Uh…ask for parlay?"

>>545820
"…smart, very smart."

>>545822
"Hello mr Chip, forgive me to keep you waiting, but I had to seal up this vat here."

545825

>>545824
Smile proudly.
"Yeah. I wanted to see your reaction."

545826

>>545823
Shrug.
"Talking about sex and partners is something I've always done only between stallions, or with my partners.
Even while in equestria.
It seems out of place to remain here."
>>545824
Chuckle at that.

545827

>>545824
Smile. "I'm glad you think so. It wasn't the easiest to figure out, but it's pretty simple to reproduce. Would you… like me to show you how?"

545828

>>545824
"The Darklantern will be a blessing for us, it is the bread and butter of naval combat in our fleet. It is extremely sturdy and as a 175-gun ship of the line… well, there are few ships that outclass it in terms of strength. However… that is not to say it is invincible. The Sirocco is excellent to chase targets with its extreme speed, but is far more fragile. The Hourglass will only serve as support. It is a shame some of the old ships such as the Eagle's Roost and the Seaworthy are not with us anymore. They were fine battleships."

545829

>>545828
"I heard stories of the Seaworthy from the commodore.
A boarding ship, I've been told."

545830

>>545825
Look at you angrily.
"Well, you got it. Happy now?"
I stomp away.

>>545826
"What? Isn't Parlay part of the Pirate Code?"

>>545827
"Be my guest."

>>545828
"Perhaps we can salvage them one day. But with this much firepower, will the Neighponese ships still attack us?"

545831

>>545824
"Dont worry about that, its fine. I've been roaming from ship to ship inspecting if there are some needed repairs and somehow ended up here." I enter the lab and find a seat.

545832

>>545830
"I just very much doubt that will happen.
You remember when we ran into those soldiers on the way here, right?
What do you think the runaway did, after escaping?"

545833

>>545831
I put some papers aside from a chair for you.
"Do you want some coffee or tea?"

>>545832
"You tell me."

545834

>>545829
"Yes indeed. It was sunk during the mutiny, unfortunately. A corvette class ship customized for boarding actions. It had a fortified hull for ramming actions, making it quite sturdy, yet fast."

>>545830
"Oh, no doubt they will. They will have a numerical advantage after all. The trick for both sides will likely be to make use of the wind. They are playing on the home field as well, so they know the seas here better… But I trust in miss Cloudy's navigational skills and ability to avoid coral reefs and sandbanks."

545835

>>545830
Fly in front of you to block your way.
"You don't seem very happy."

545836

>>545833
"First, he probably delivered the message of their defeat.
Then, he committed ritual seppuku.
Killed himself in dishonor."
>>545834
"Sounds like a dream ship."

545837

>>545830
I'll go ahead and, with barely contained eagerness, show Selena how they are made, taking one apart to show her how it all fits together, discussing which chemicals I tried using before settling on the stable ones I use today, and so forth.
and that concludes my Pirates faff for now while I focus on other things.

545838

>>545836
"Master Wark is very fond of it as well."

545839

>>545835
I stop.
"If you think trying to intimidate me will work on me, you're wrong!"

>>545836
I'm flabbergasted.
"What? Why?"

>>545834
I turn to you.
"Is that true, what mister Tree said? Do they kill themselves if they don't win?"

545840

>>545833
I snicker for a bit before regaining my composure.
"You do remind me of that Ginger tea you are bragging about."

545841

>>545839
"I have heard such stories before, yes. A cultural thing, of course."

545842

>>545839
"If I was that, you'd know it, and you'd be scared shitless. I just want to be friends!"
Take a step closer.

545843

>>545838
"Was he part of the boarding crew?"
>>545839
>>545841
Nod.
"It's a way to make sure soldiers will give their all for their lord.
Their will to run away is quickly curbed if they realize they have nowhere else to go.
Seppuku is done not to bring your shame onto your family, which would basically mean killing them.
Cruel, effective. But makes soldiers grow stupid."

545844

>>545840
"Yes, the ginger extract, it's ready."
I hoof you a bottle.
"Take a sip whenever you start to feel a bit sick. It will take away most of the uneasiness."

>>545841
>>545843
I shake my head.
"That's….I can't believe that ponies would do that."

>>545842
"You want to be friends?"
I look at you disbelievingly.

545845

>>545844
"Now you start to understand why I left Neighpon?"

545846

>>545844
Smirk.
"It was all in good fun!"

545847

>>545846
"Friends don't shoot at each other, even for fun. If you want to be friends, you have to promise me you won't do that again."

>>545845
I nod.
"…yes."

545848

>>545843
"I believe so, before he became asociated with me as part of the raider crew."

>>545844
"It is quite the cruel thing to do."

545849

>>545844
"Well thank you just what I needed."
Take it and take a sip.
"Uugghh.. taste a bit strong. But tolerable at the least, how do you make these?"

545850

>>545847
Give her a slow nod.
"Neighpon might look fashinating from the outside, but it is a dying world. I have no regrets over the life I never had."
Shake my head and pick up again in a jovial tone.
"Here's me rambling on.
What were we talking about?
Oh, the battle, right. Where will you be, Lady Selena?"
>>545848
"I would love to have a talk with him. And that little Fae you picked up during our travels, I haven't had the occasion to talk with him either yet."

545851

>>545849
"It is done by letting ginger rest into some alchohol for a while. The healing properties mix into the alcohol and with that I make the potion."
I grab a pot of tea and give you a cup.
"Here, too wash the taste away."

>>545848
"Simply awful. Why would common ponies do that."

>>545850
"Uh..nopony has given me orders yet. But I'll brew up some healing potions perhaps, to help those in need."

545852

>>545851
"That might be a most interesting idea indeed.
Speaking of, how is your work shaping? Made anything interesting yet?"

545853

>>545850
"I am not certain where Who is at this time, to be quite frank."

>>545851
"Well… it is a cultural thing, as I said. I do not try to understand these things, only to accept them for what they are. It is far easier that way."

545855

>>545853
"I'll try to see it that way then…"
I clap my hooves.
"Who's so adorable. I let him sleep in my hair last night and when I woke up he lay on my side hugging me. The poor thing must have rolled out."

>>545852
"I'm still preparing some standard potions. Some ponies have told me I should try making some age magic potions or transformation potions, but I'll have to figure out how those work."

545856

>>545851
I finish the ginger brew, coughing a bit before drinking the tea.
"*cough* God I need that, I mean both the ginger brew and the tea I mean." I smile before looking around the lab.
"So besides ginger brew ales and tea, what are you brewing?"

545857

>>545855
"… Oh. I see."

545858

>>545853
>>545855
"It's a miracle he didn't end up crushed."

545859

>>545847
"Fine, I'll try not to shoot at you."

545860

>>545856
"Healing potions. I heard we're going to fight soon, so I want to be ready to help the wounded."

>>545857
>>545858
"He wouldn't get crushed! Even in my sleep I wouldn't hurt a breezie!"

>>545859
"Not good enough, you have to promise me."

545862

>>545860
"Do you have an idea where he is now, then?"

545863

>>545862
"I don't know. He flew away earlier. I'm sure he'll show up. He likes me!"

545864

>>545860
"What's the difference?"

545865

>>545860
Yes… well, accidents may still happen. But I am sure he is old and wise enough to prevent such things from happening."

545866

>>545863
Chuckle.
"Everypony on board likes you, Lady Selena."

545869

>>545860
I then lean on the table.
"That will be really helpful, everyone will be glad and specially Abilio. You are already doing your share of the work and if you continue that you may not need my good word to the commodore."

545871

>>545866
"It's because all of you are such nice ponies.
I didn't know pirates could be such good friends!"

>>545865
"..how old is he anyway?"

>>545864
"If you promise me you won't shoot me, you'll break your promise if you do. If you just say I'll try that means you don't really mean it and you'll just shoot next to me some other time while saying I tried."

>>545869
"I would appreciate it still, but don't feel forced, mister Chip. Us being friends is good enough for me."
I sit down.
"Do you feel better after a good nights sleep?"

545872

>>545871
"I have yet to ask. I admit I am not very familiar with breezie biology."

545873

>>545871
"Fine, I promise I'll try not to shoot at you."

545874

>>545871
"Pirates are neither good nor evil.
Just ponies."

545875

>>545873
"Are you making fun of me?"

>>545872
"I wonder…he seems young."

>>545874
"I see that now. I just heard the most dreadful stories on land."

545876

>>545875
"If it is about the bathing thing, don't believe them."
Chuckle.

545877

>>545875
"What, I just promised!"

545878

>>545871
Look at her
"…. well I did, its just really good to say all of those…. I mean out of nowhere."

I then scratch my head.
"I really dont mean to share those things to you guys… its just came out of nowhere."

545879

>>545875
I smile and spread my wings, running a hoof over them.
"Or perhaps he simply appears to be younger than he actually is."

545880

>>545879
Would Tree know about that by now, or should I have him ask?

545881

>>545876
I giggle.

>>545877
I pause for a few seconds.
"…I suppose you really won't tell me you wouldn't shoot at me again?"

>>545878
I nod.
"I heard only a little bit about the mutiny. But from what I heard it shocked all of you. These things can happen. When my mother died I felt like screaming even months later. And you must have been so busy with the ships since then that it just came out. Don't feel guilty about it, it's natural."

>>545879
I take a look at your wings.
"You know, miss Heart, you have such wonderful feathers. I have a special conditioner my mom taught my to make, for my feathers. Perhaps I could brew a bottle for you as well?"

545882

>>545880
Up to you!

545883

>>545882
Eh, let's say he doesn't.
"Oh?"

545884

>>545881
Shrug.
"It was only fun the first time anyway."

545885

>>545881
>>545882
"And what do you mean by appears?"

>>545884
"So…miss Emrille, if I remember correctly, you were in charge of all the mercs on the ship?"

545886

>>545881
"Hmm, that sounds quite lovely. Rosemary helps look after them quite often, but some extra care could never hurt."

>>545883
"Have you not noticed that I look a bit too young to be this experienced already?"

545887

>>545885
Frown.
"Yeah, back when we could afford them. I was Merc captain."

545888

>>545886
>>545885
"Oh right." I nod as I remember.

>wings

"I'll brew a batch by tomorrow!"

>>545887
"So what do you do now?"

545889

>>545881
I look away for a moment
"…….. I didnt know what came after me yesterday. Thats not like me at all, I mean the crying and the drama and being a total asshole specially to Felix out of nowhere."

545890

>>545888
I give you a grateful smile.
"You are too kind, miss Springleaf."

545891

>>545888
"I'm the second mate of this ship."
Make sure to run a hoof through my attire as I say that.

545892

>>545889
I put my tea dow.
"You know, talking about this usually helps.
Maybe you can tell me more about this mr Smitts and Tony and Felfire. What were they like? Were you good friends?
I promise this will just be between us."

>>545890
"Nonsense, if there's anything you need me to brew for you, I'm happy to do it."

>>545891
I look at the uniform.
"It's a very nice uniform. Very…commanding."

545893

>>545892
"Well, I will certainly repay you the favor in some form if possible."

545894

>>545892
"That's right. Ponies should know from a glance who they are dealing with."

545896

>>545893
I smile.
"I appreciate that, miss Heart. Oh and thanks for telling me to talk to Abilio. He promised to help me, like you said."

>>545894
"Well with the hat and the attire, there's no mistaking it, that's for sure. But…."
I tap my hoof against my chin.
"I was thinking…maybe you should as some crystals to it. To make it more shiny, more bling bling. And it would complement very well with Tela's shinyness."

Gotta go now. Laters.

545898

THE NIGHT BEFORE THE MORNING
I go to the room that I share with Tela!

>>545896
I pause as I consider that, then nod.
"Go on, what did you have in mind?"

545899

>>545896
"I thought he would, he is a true gentlestallion and he has mentored ponies before."
I smirk slightly.
"… Even miss Emrille."

545901

>>545898
I need room to display my swords.
Like this ching chong katana I bought as a memento

545903

>>545901
I walk up to you and smack your ass with my wing.
"Got a new toy for yourself?"

545905

>>545903
Ignore the ass smack
"Yup. It's a weird one too, kind of reminds me of a scimitar. Doesn't have much piercing potential though, this thing is a born slasher."

545906

>>545905
Jump up with my forehooves on your back.
"You like stabbing more than slashing off legs, hm?"

545909

>>545906
"I like variety. Slashing, piercing, smashing, crushing… they all got their own merits."

545911

>>545909
Shake my head and click my tongue.
"Yet none of them shoots bullets…"

545912

>>545911
"Well yeah, they're swords."

545913

>>545912
"Booring!"

545915

>>545913
I roll my eyes.
"You know, one day I hope to have a normal conversation with you that doesn't end up in you acting like a fucking cunt."

545919

>>545915
"It's not like you ever express interest about my fucking guns!"
I hop off your back and take off my hat.

545921

>>545919
"Yeah, because you never shut up about them there's really no need."

545922

>>545921
"Well… there is something I sort of want to talk to you about…."

545924

>>545922
I cock my head, interested.
"What's up?"

545925

>>545924
Bite my lip.
"Uh… do I look Germane to you?"

545926

>>545925
"… what? What do you mean? What kind of question is that?"

545928

>>545926
Shift my weight, and put my holster and rifle down.
"You know… do I look like a germane mare?"

545929

>>545928
"Uh… maybe? They don't look different to us, you know that right?"

545931

>>545929
"Yeah… but I sound like I'm from Great Bridle, don't I?"

545935

>>545886
Smile at her.
"Beauty is eternal, Light Heart."
>>545934
Yo.
I'm looking around for you, the morning after. Before we head at sea.

545937

>>545931
"Sure, yeah."

>>545935
I'm probably prepping for battle.

545938

>>545937
Wonderful.
"Lady Tela.
I see you are after my own heart."
Chuckle slightly and bow.

545939

>>545937
"Because… I was sort of at a fortune teller and she said that I might be from that Germane city, Anniev."

545941

>>545938
Probably picking which swords to bring and which ones to keep behind.
"Hmh? What's up?"

>>545939
"Well maybe that fortune teller was full of shit, did you ever consider that? If someone walked up to you and told you you are the daughter of a Zebrican prince and asks you for a royal donation, would you believe them?"

545943

>>545941
"When she was doing hoofreading she totally knew that I was… Well…"
Snort.
"Okay, nevermind."

545944

>>545943
"What? She totally knew what?"

545945

>>545941
"I was afraid nopony would be truly for the coming battle, and here I find you, as prepared as can be."

545949

>>545944
Get out of my attire and fold it.
"Nevermind, you'd say it's bullshit anyway!"

545950

>>545945
"We fucked up a colossal dragon, I wouldn't be too worried about us being prepared if I were you. Even if most of the original crew is dead now, we'll make it through somehow."

>>545949
"Stop playing victim and tell me."

545957

>>545950
"It's just a sorry sight, to see a whole ship almost quiver in fear at the thunder of approaching battle.
I'm glad to see someone doesn't run from it."

545959

ALSO
In ZE PAST around the time I finished my chat with Selena and LH, I will be trotting along deck again, just in time to see a breezie flutter around.
Guess that's Who, the fae I was looking for.
Trot over.

"You are Who, are you not?"

545960

>>545950
"She said things about, y'know, my years as a merc, that there was something in my childhood… things that all seemed to fit!"

545963

>>545959
Shake my head. "I am Manako."
Do a short bow mid air. "pleased to meet you."

545964

>>545957
"What? Who the hell is quivering? The new crew?"

>>545960
"It's not hard to guess that an armed foreigner in Neighpon is probably going to be a merc. And heck… troubled childhoods are pretty common too."
I sigh.
"Look, I don't know much about fortune telling, okay? But even if she's right, what does it matter?"

545966

>>545963
"…Aother Fae? Where do you come from?"
>>545964
"Mostly menials, yes."

545967

>>545964
"She said I should go to Anniev… and I sort of was dreaming about that city, some time ago."

545968

>>545966
Smile a bit. "From Breezy Valley. Where are you from?"

545969

>>545966
"Well, they'll harden eventually. Can't blame them for inexperience."

545970

>>545967
"Anneiv? That's in Germaney is it? Maybe we'll go there some time."

545971

>>545968
Frown.
"That's not what I meant."
>>545969
"They won't survive long if they are so scared."

545972

>>545970
"Yeah.. I just… sort of want to go there. Maybe it's nothing."

545975

>>545971
Tilt my head. "I am not related to Breezy-Who sir."

545978

>>545971
"People die, shit happens. Others will survive and learn to live with it. There's no shame in fear, only in letting it get the better of you."

>>545972
"We'll see. Great Briddle or Germaney, it's all Equestrian."

545980

>>545975
"But how did you come onto the ship.
Because sure as day you weren't here three days ago!
"
>>545978
Grunt in contempt.
"Have you seen the menials? One was literally ready to jump in a barrel the moment the fight started."

545982

>>545978
"Yeah but…"
Lower my voice.
"I sort of can't really remember where I'm from.."

545985

>>545980
I shrug.
"Not my problem. Not an officer. I just follow orders."

545986

>>545982
I tilt my head.
"What? Is that why you always got so grumpy when I asked you about it?"

545987

>>545980
"Correct! I arrived last night with my little sister, Felix."

545988

>>545985
"I guess it really is not your problem."
Sigh, but go back to smiling.
"Now. Mind some fencing, as we get ready for the battle to come?
I ache for a worthy sparring partner."
>>545987
"Wasn't that the Equestrian kid?"

545992

>>545988
Nod at that. "I will help her get home."

545993

>>545986
I walk up to you and nuzzle your neck.
"Yeah… I really try not to think of the past…"

545994

>>545992
"So you were with her?"
Laugh heartedly.
"Classic fae."

545995

NPCS are around

545996

>>545988
"Exactly. I've got enough headaches already with keeping Emmy in check. Maybe once this battle is over I'll ask the commodore about the crew, but now it's a bit too late for that. And hey, sure thing. I bought a katana and haven't been able to put it to use yet. Unless you're talking about unarmed sparring…"

>>545993
"Yeah… I've got parts of my life I prefer not thinking about either."

545997

>>545994
my face turns a bit red.
"Its not a trick. I'm really going to help me little sister."

545998

>>545995
I'm actually still at the helm of the Sirocco, so unless someone comes over… I guess I'm stuck until the next shift.

546000

>>545996
Laugh aloud.
"Want to learn the ancient art of the samurai sword?"
>>545997
Smirk.
"You got in here with a trick, though!"

546001

>>546000
giggle a bit " The dog was furious when he found out. "

546003

>>545996
"You know why I don't like it… bah, fuck it all.."

546004

>>546000
"I reckon I just have to handle it similarly to a scimitar."

546006

>>546001
"You made a powerful enemy it seems. He's a high ranking officer and most respected fighter."
Snicker.
"And you made a fool of him indeed."
>>546004
"More or less.
I rarely use mine. Not good for cutting plate."

546008

>>546006
"Its not my fault a fool rules other fools." I say innocently.

546010

>>546008
"Make sure nopony hears you say that."
Look her over, carefully. gently poke her side with a hoof.
"You are far different than legends say."

546013

>>546010
She is a yellow bodied, purple maned, and green eyed pony, small as a butterfly and with wings of similar shape. She is soft and recoils from your sudden touch.
"I am different than most breezy sir."

546014

>>546003
Pull you in closer and caress your mane.
"Just don't let the words of a fortune teller get to you too much. No need to stress out over something like this."

>>546006
"Well yeah, it's a slasher. Any kind of armor fucks it right over."

546018

>>546013
Nod.
"And there is nothing of that touch-and-become-ashes hex that was mentioned by my sensei."
>>546014
"Not only that.
Do you know what metal it is made from?"
Chuckle.
"Sand.
Iron extracted from sand.
That's why the metal has to be folded hundreads of times before being usable.
Otherwise, it'd shatter too easily."

546021

>>546018
snicker. "is that what you were told?"

546024

>>546018
"Really?"
Check the sword.
"Wow, that's actually pretty impressive. Must take a ton of work to make one of these fuckers."

546026

>>546014
I enjoy the feeling and hug you back.
After a bit of silence I speak again.
"I have no idea what I'd do with out you, Tela…"

546027

>>546021
"The basic gist of it, at least. And how you helping the kid must be just another trick."
>>546024
"They are reserved for nobility for a reason."

546028

>>546027
"And what about you? Can you really slice clouds in half?"

546029

>>546026
I smirk and just enjoy the silence and warmth for a while.

>>546027
"I bet this one is a piece of cheap junk though. Not that it matters, I just kind of like the way it looks. Didn't pay much for it either."

546030

>>546028
"Tsk."
Let out a grunt.
"Clouds aren't exactly the mightiest of foes."
>>546029
"Then let's test it, shall we?
Actually, I could teach you the traditional samurai fighting style.
Which you have to promise to never, under any situation, use."

546031

>>546029
I do the same, then give you a long kiss of passion. Smooch smooch~

Roll #1 8 + 2 = 10

546034

>>546030
I snort.
"If I can't ever use it, why bother?"

>>546031
Return the kissu kissu~

Roll #1 8 + 2 = 10

546038

>>546034
Chuckle.
"For fun?
It's a style based on the assumption both warrior are samurai, and they are facing one on one in a battle of honor.
I trust you can see how this has no place on a real battlefield."

546039

>>546030
"I suppose not."
"What brings you to this ship of misfits?"

546041

>>546039
"To stop is to die.
I am ronin. No place for me to call home.
"

546042

>>546034
After this gloriously delightful kissing session, break away and smile at you.
"Fuck, I've got to say it… I love you, you big cunt~"

546043

>>546038
I shrug.
"If it's not useful, I'm not going to bother. I'd rather focus on studying for my magical skills instead."

546045

>>546041
Supposed to be green.
>>546043
Nod.
"Very well."
Take out my katana.
"So, about that spar."

546046

>>546041
Nod solemnly.
"I will not be returning to the valley."

546048

>>546045
Oh I thought you were just whispering it.

546049

>>546046
"You seem different from other fae.
Don't your ponies usually stick together?
"

546050

>>546049
Huff. "I don't need those weak hippies floating on my wing tips."

546051

>>546050
Look at her for a second, wondering in complete bafflement if she's serious.
Then burst into laughter.
"That is damn right.
And fuck those idiotic neighponese bastards too!
"

546052

>>546042
Roll my eyes and throw you on the bed.
"I'll show you a big cunt…"

>>546045
Summon an ethereal sword.
"Sure, let's do it."

546053

>>546051
Laugh along with you. Float a bit closer to you in the process. "You aren't so bad Ronin. May I know your name?"

546054

>>546052
"Ah, but I thought this would be a katana duel."
Sheate my cerimonial sword.
"Then, allow me to use my true weapons."
Bring the two rapiers out, and smirk.
Let's begin.
Spellbreak her weapon and quickly jab at her sides.
'1d10'
'2d10'+1 each.

Roll #1 9 = 9 / Roll #2 1, 9 = 10

546055

>>546052
I giggle and lick my lips.
"The one I've seen a thousand times already?~"

546056

>>546053
"Flowing Tree, fae.
And yours?
"

546057

>>546056
"Manako."

546061

>>546057
"Manako."
Nod in acknowledge.
"I will remember that name."

546062

>>546054
"What the fuck was that?"
Ugh. Fucking ching chongs.
Just Slam into him first.

>>546055
"A thousand times? Have you been sneaking peeks, you little rascal?"

Roll #1 8 = 8

546064

>>546062
"Even before the fleet and everything~"

546067

>>546062
Laugh as I pull myself up after that hit.
"Very good! Very, very good!"
Sheath my rapiers.
"Please, do tell me if you were offended in any way, I just wanted to put your magical abilities to the test."
Take out the katana, without even unsheating it.
"Let's continue."
Bonk her.
'1d10'

Roll #1 5 = 5

546069

>>546064
"You're such a damn perv."

>>546067
I frown.
"Alright you lanky fuck, let's see what you're made of."
Pick out one of my own swords and go in for an attack of my own.

Roll #1 10 = 10

546071

>>546069
"Daring!"
Okay, I won't last another one of those.
Give her two quick slaps with my sheated rapiers, wear her down.
'2d10'+1

Roll #1 5, 3 = 8

546074

>>546061
"I will keep an ear to the wind for word of you Tree-Sempai." Grin.

546076

>>546069
"Watcha' gonna do about it?"

546077

>>546074
"They will mostly be angry shouts painting my name black with infamy, I fear. We are heading into battle soon."

546079

>>546077
"Has this fleet been called to the war as well?" Look concerned.

546080

>>546079
"We volunteered.
As privateers.
"

546081

>>546071
Dodge those and try to hit him with a swing of my own.

>>546076
"Spank you?"

Roll #1 9 = 9

546083

>>546081
Roll over to my belly and shake my flank.
"Gently?~"

546084

>>546081
Guess that's enough.
But before going down, try to sneak in two last stabs.
'2d10'+1.
Then, tumble over the deck, slammed by the attack.
Raise a hoof in the air, calling a truce.

Roll #1 10, 4 = 14

546085

>>546080
Sigh. "Is that why the ship is so poorly stocked?"

546087

546089

>>546083
Bite my lip.
"Maybe…"

>>546084
"That all?"

546091

>>546089
"Your moves were superb, Lady Tela.
I do admit defeat when it is due. Would you care for one more dance?"

546092

>>546089
Flick my tail.
"Just maybe?~"

546093

>>546087
Nod "I looked around and can hardly find anything useful at all. No screws, no paperclips, no bits of metal, or spare planks. "

546094

>>546093
"And what would you even do with that sort of stuff?"

546095

>>546091
"Yeah, sure. If you think you can handle me…"
I smirk.

>>546092
"No wait… let's just not be weird and fuck like normal ponies."

546096

>>546095
Smirk back, locking eyes with her.
"Now, let it never be said I turned down a mare's invitation."
Get serious.
Leave the katana on the ground, I won't need that.
Embrace my rapiers, leaving them still in their sheats as not to hurt her.
"First to score a vital hit?"
As in, first to crit?

546097

>>546095
Roll to my back, rolling my eyes too.
"Killjoy. C'mere."

546100

>>546094
Flutter excitedly at a chance to brag.
"Oh, lots of things! An automatic berry crusher, an ultra salt detector, an automatic cloud sorter. Anything you can think of!"

546103

>>546100
Look at her sceptical.
"I don't know the use of one of those things."

546104

>>546096
"Sure. Let's roll."
Get my own sword ready for action and wait for him to make a move.

>>546097
Move over and pin her down.
"I'll show you some real joy."

546105

>>546103
Snicker and then look thoughtful.
"Tree Sempai, isn't there something you do that you wish was easier?"

546106

>>546104
Come down towards her, dancing around as leaf dances around wind.
And before she has time to realize it, attack.
Try to bring one of my swords to bear right on her heart.
'2d10'+1

Roll #1 7, 1 = 8

546107

>>546104
Give you a challenging look.
"Yeah? So you're the maresex expert now?~"

546108

>>546105
"Growing tea is rather tiresome."

546109

>>546108
"Hmm.. what about an easier way to water the tea plant?"

546110

>>546106
Lots of fancy moves won't protect you from sheer power and strength.
Counter his attack with one of my own. [1d10]

>>546107
"Learned it from a real slut of a dyke after all. No shut up and let me do my thing."
[5d10+10]

Roll #1 2 = 2 / Roll #2 7, 10, 5, 2, 6 + 10 = 40

546112

>>546109
"Hiring somepony to do it for me?"
>>546110
Power is nothing without control.
"Lady Tela, don't play me down because you won once already."
'2d10'+1, slice and dice.

Roll #1 2, 5 = 7

546115

>>546110
Mhhm~

Roll #1 8, 4, 9, 10, 2 + 10 = 43

546116

>>546112
"No. Making a timed water-er! I just need a dozen gears, a cup, a few straws.." I move my hooves as I talk as if making a check list in my mind.

546117

>>546116
Take a step back and stay silent as you do that, looking curiously.

546119

>>546117
"Yea! It will definitely work!" flutter excitedly and buzz around, taking a look at the area and then look flattened. "Oh, right. I'd have to go to town to get parts."

546120

>>546119
Look at the town, then at her.
"Tell you what. Once we come back, I will get the parts for you.
Okay?
Heck, you can even come, just hide somewhere.
"

546121

>>546120
Look excited. "Really? Can I hide in your hat Tree-Sempai?"

546122

>>546112
"Oh don't worry, I've got this one in the bag!"
Keep trying to hit him, not letting him rest.
[1d10]

>>546115
Some grade A dykesex~

Roll #1 6 = 6

546123

>>546122
The best~
"You're reaaaaaaally getting good at this~"

546125

>>546121
Stare flatly at her.
"In the… Hat?"
>>546122
"Would you like to see something, Lady Tela?"
Keep the pressure up.
I'm the faster fencer here.
'2d10'+1

Roll #1 2, 1 = 3

546129

>>546125
"Yea.. So, I can whisper to you if I see something."

546130

>>546129
"You aren't planning something to mess with my mind, are you?"

546131

>>546123
Light my pipe, been a while.
"Yup. Preeeeetty good."

>>546125
"All I'm seeing is sloppy moves right now! Try to keep up!"
Increase the pace. I'll get him [1d10]

Roll #1 7 = 7

546132

>>546131
"As you wish.
Look closely because I will do this against you only once."
'4d10'+1 each.
Hit her by all sides and end up behind her.

Roll #1 3, 7, 9, 3 = 22

546133

>>546131
"And to think you took so much offense when I said we should fuck, back in the days!"

546134

>>546130
"Huh? No. Of course not."

546135

>>546132
And that is a crit.
>>546134
Chuckle.
"That's just what a trickster would say."

546136

>>546132
>>546135
"Fuck! What the heck was that!? Bullshit!"

>>546133
"You were just a little brat with too much spunk back then. … You still kind of are."

546137

>>546136
"I have something to show for it, don't I?"

546138

>>546135
"Oh Tree-sempai. I wouldn't try to trick you. You're much too wise."

546139

>>546136
"I told you to watch closely Lady Tela.
That is why I'm alive to this day."

546141

>>546138
"Ah! Okay, now you are just jerking my hoof."
Smirk.

546143

>>546137
"Sure… a pretty face."

>>546139
"I could have sent my entire sword collection at you as well but you didn't see me doing that!"

546144

>>546143
Hug you with a wing.
"Tell me I'm the prettiest mare."

546145

>>546141
smile innocently '1d10'

Roll #1 4 = 4

546146

>>546143
"Might I remind you I'm a hex breaker?"
Chuckle.
"But this is no magic, no trick.
Just the quickness of my hoof."
>>546145
Shake my head.
"See not to get yourself killed."

546148

>>546146
Nod
"Do you have a battle medic Tree Sempai?"

546149

>>546144
"Eh…. let's not go overboard."

>>546146
Goddamn tryhard.
"Yeah whatever. Next time I'm just slamming your ass from the start if you're going to pull bullshit like that."

546150

>>546148
"Just one, sadly."

546151

>>546150
"one for how many fighters?"

546152

>>546149
It was to show you the ancient neighponese technique!
"…"
Stare silently for a moment, then bow my head.
"I'm sorry if this fight seemed offensive to you, Lady Tela. It was not my intention."
>>546151
"Too many."

546153

>>546152
I grumble.
"Whatever, it was just a spar."

546155

>>546153
"Do not take it so badly. After all, you are still up, after all the battering and hammering, you still stand, not even panting.
It's formidable."

546156

>>546152
frown. "I don't want you to die. I will go and help heal."

546157

>>546149
"Hey!"

546158

>>546156
"Slow down, Manako-chan. What is this about you healing, now?"

546159

>>546158
"I know how to. Its one thing hippy ponies thought up that was useful."
'1d10+2' show you healing bonds.

Roll #1 9 + 2 = 11

546160

>>546159
Stare silently, with a hard expression on my face for a second.
Then, extend a hoof.
"Come over here, Manako-chan."

546162

>>546160
land on your hoof and take a breather, that was exhausting

546166

>>546162
Keep the hoof up.
"You may help us."

546167

>>546166
"I'll do my best Tree-Sempai." grin at you.

546168

>>546155
"Don't flatter and soothe me now."

>>546157
I just grin.

546169

>>546167
Noticing how tired you are, I will put you on top of my hat.
"We should find a way for you to be safe during battle.
Your magic works at range aswell?
"

546170

>>546168
Poke your chest with a hoof.
"Who is it, huh? Which mare do you have your eyes on?"
Snicker.
"Cause we can have a threesome then~"

546172

>>546169
Nod and settle in happily. "That's right. I don't need to be close."

546175

>>546170
Shake my head.
"What is it with you and threesomes anyway? Am I not good enough or something? Did you get bored of me already?"

546176

>>546168
"No, flattering you would be saying your eyes are as shining as the sea at noon, or that your mane smells like the winds of spring.
But I am praising the warrior within you, and that warrior wants to be praised.
It wants to feel its power come to bloom. Like every other warrior."
>>546172
"How long and how quickly can you fly?"

546177

>>546175
"Of course not! But if you think I'm not the most beautiful mare, then you must be checking out the flank of somepony else!"

546178

>>546176
"15.2 miles per hour, for an average of 194 minutes, or 18.5 miles per hour for 7 minutes and 45 seconds. "

546179

>>546178
Raise a brow.
"That seems like a huge gap in efficiency."

546181

>>546179
look ashamed. "Sorry tree-sempai."

546185

>>546181
"Just stay out of melee range and you should be fine.
Aiming at something as small as you would be crazy.
"

546186

>>546185
"Crazy like the pegasus with who loves her guns too much?"

546187

>>546176
Hold up my hooves.
"Alright alright, let's not get too dramatic here. I'm calm now."

>>546177
"I don't know… I think that would be subjective."

546188

>>546186
"Fortunately for you, and for her, she's on our side."
Speaking of which.
"Does the rest of the crew know you already?"

546189

>>546187
"Well objectively you're getting the most out of my butt, don't you?"

546191

>>546188
"I met a mare called Selena. A goat called Hircus, and of course the big dog Chip."

546193

>>546187
Chuckle and lean back on a railing of the ship.
"As you wish.
I had fun this morning, Lady Tela.
We should do it more often."
Hold a hoof up aswell.
"I promise I will go slow."
>>546191
"Very well.
We should let most of the raiders know you before the battle. Just so they won't shoot you down.
"

546195

>>546193
"Right. You're so smart Sempai!"

546196

>>546195
And I think we can pause here for the night.
T'was fun.

546197

>>546189
"Fair enough, yeah."

>>546193
"Sure, catch you later then."

546198

>>546196
good night

546199

>>546197
"Better than your hoof, huh?"

546201

>>546199
Give her a weird look.
"Okay then, miss expert. Who is the sexiest and hottest mare on the fleet in your opinion then? Aside from me, obviously."

546202

>>546201
"Well duh."
Point a tip of my wing at myself.

546204

>>546202
Slap.
"No narcissism. Without me, who would you go to to fuck regardless of relationships? The new girl? Selena? Light Heart? … Cloudy Stripes?"

546206

>>546204
"Bitch…"
Rub my face.
"Cloudy… eh, not my type, with being blind and shit. I'd fuck the new girl for sure. Light Heart I fucked alredy, before we got together. Could go for another round with her too, do it properly."

546207

>>546206
"Wait wait… you and Light Heart did it? Seriously?"

546208

>>546207
Shrug.
"Well yeah. You know she's sort of a slut, right?"

546209

>>546208
"Fucking hell… why'd you never tell me before?"

546210

>>546209
"I did!…though I'm pretty sure you thought I was joking."

546213

>>546210
Shake my head.
"Whatever, doesn't matter. We should catch some shuteye."

546214

>>546213
"Yeah, we should. Big day tomorrow and everything."
Smooch that dyke on the lips.
"Night~"

546327

Just three online. Faff?

546328

>>546327
I'd love to, but I'm still bound to the helm…

546329

>>546328
Marsh relieves you around noon.

"Face was on duty."

546330

>>546327
I suppose so.

546331

>>546329
I nod.
"Indeed, but I offered to take over."

546332

>>546330
Where to?

>>546331
"Just as well, then. Maybe you can convince him to cover your shift in return. For now, though, you're free."

546333

>>546332
"Perhaps I will. Thank you, captain. Are you eager to get back to business?"

546334

>>546332
Um… I suppose I'll see if I can find Light Heart?

546335

>>546333
"Hm. Certainly I would muchly enjoy to stay here and enjoy the provincial pleasures, but I will answer your question with a story. In a field one summer's day a Grasshopper was hopping about, chirping and singing to its heart's content. An Ant passed by, bearing along with great toil an ear of corn he was taking to the nest. "Why not come and chat with me," said the Grasshopper, "instead of toiling and moiling in that way?"

"I am helping to lay up food for the winter," said the Ant, "and recommend you to do the same."

"Why bother about winter?" said the Grasshopper; we have got plenty of food at present." But the Ant went on its way and continued its toil.

When the winter came the Grasshopper found itself dying of hunger, while it saw the ants distributing, every day, corn and grain from the stores they had collected in the summer.

Then the Grasshopper knew… It is best to prepare for the days of necessity.

In our case, however, we're more like ants who have been robbed of their industry and need to steal more food before they starve. We're running dire low on supplies."

546336

>>546334
She's up at the helm of the Sirocco

546337

>>546327
Present.

546338

>>546337
What do you want to occupy yourself with?

546339

>>546338
What is there to do before a battle anyway?
The menials don't seem to answer the call to arms…
Captain Marsh?

546340

>>546336
All right then, I'll go see her.
>>546333
"Good evening, Light Heart. How are you today?"

546341

>>546339
He's speaking with Light Heart right now.

546342

>>546335
I smile at the story.
"That story rings true to my ears. Indeed, we are somewhat low on everything, unfortunately. But I believe we made a good move coming here. If we perform well… we may alleviate many of our worries. Stabilize ourselves first, then focus on expansion once again, a sound plan."

546343

>>546341
I should really work on knowig more members of the crew.

546344

Heyaheyayaya what's going on

546345

>>546340
"Quite well. Yesterday was an evening well spent after our grand journey. Quite relaxing indeed. I am ready to get to work today."

546346

>>546342
"Yes, well, without a doubt this is where it needs to be done. The remark was mostly just that we need to make haste with our industry."

>>546343
>>546344
>>546345
>>546340
Time to make out for open waters?

546347

>>546346
I'm ready.

546348

>>546346
So we're not going after the three assasins?

546349

>>546348
You could always ask around for information about them here or when you make port elsewhere.

546350

>>546346
"Yes… these mouths will not feed themselves of course. I am confident in our abilities to manage however. We will see this through and recover back to our former glory."

546351

>>546346
Ready.

546352

>>546349
We'll have time then. Let's go.

546353

>>546349
Oh one more thing, did Salty Slug want to come back to the fleet?

546354

>>546346
Indeed, I believe so.
Approach LH and the cap.
Bow my head to greet them.
"Awaiting your orders, captain."

546355

>>546353
You should finish the conversation.

>>546354
"We'll be heading out soon. Just waiting on the daimyo's representative."

546356

>>546355
Well where was it?

546357

546358

>>546355
I hope Rosemary, HP Lovepone and Who are ready to rumble.

546359

>>546357
"We could always use a guy like you. Y'know, old faces are always welcome back. We're going more legit this time too."

546360

>>546355
"One think I would like all the raider crew to be aware of.
Sees like we have picked up a second fae, and she's an excellent healer, has shown me as much herself.
They should know not to shoot or attack them.
They are easy to miss so I'm fearing the rest of the crew hasn't seen them yet."

546361

>>546345
"As am I. What are your orders?"

546362

>>546360
I raise a brow.
"Another breezie, you say? A healer at that?"

>>546361
"No orders yet, I'm afraid. First we must get out of port back into open sea in search of targets."

546363

>>546358
You've leaving Wark behind to babysit then? As long as you're waiting around for Emmy and Flowing to finish, you may as well collect them and farewell the kids/donk.

>>546359
"I do have a job here. Anything to sweeten the deal, doll? No offense but I'm a STALLION'S STALLION and I'm not getting seduced by any mares."

In case you forgot, Salty Slugs was all about extreme acts of strength. Back before you were aboard the fleet he challenged Rahjak to pull the brain out of a shark by claw.

>>546360
He dismisses it. "I'm not concerned about that. We've had stranger on our ships. Being on the outskirts of society attracts oddballs like a magnet. Only in polite society do they need to worry."

546364

>>546363
"There's this neighponese samurai or what guy who is with us know. He said he is the strongest stallion alive. I guess you can't prove him wrong if you don't come back…"

546365

>>546363
I need the extra healer. It sucks to leave our tank behind but someone has to look after those kids.
Is Rosemary up yet then?

546366

>>546362
Nod.
"She was around not too long ago. Seems she hitched a ride with the filly you brought here."
>>546363
"It was more of a tactical concern, seeing how we carry no uniform, it's hard to tell who isn't on our side at a glance."

546367

>>546366
"I see… how curious."

546368

>>546367
"Indeed.
But her magic was strong and I'm willing to give it a try. Protecting the fae won't be too hard if she hides on me as we fight, and from there she can still work her arts."

546369

>>546364
"Hm…"

He flexes pensively.

"Alright. I'll come back aboard, then."

>>546365
You swing by the room and find that Wark has returned in your absence and woken up your waifu. He's snuggled up close to her so that they can both play with the little ones.

As you wake up, she smiles and leaps out of bed. "Good morning!!"

>>546366
"I doubt the enemy will employ Breezies, but I'll put the word out."

546370

>>546365
>as you wake up
Enter, I mean

546371

>>546369
Smirk.
"That's the spirit. I bet you can prove that you're still the muscle of the fleet"

546372

>>546371
"OH YEAHHHHH"

546373

>>546369
"The crew might not know we do it either."
Bow my head.
"Thanks for your understanding, captain."

546374

>>546368
"Hm, very well. I look forward to meeting this breezie then."

>>546369
"Good morning both of you."
I smile and walks over to the kids.
"I trust they behaved?"

546375

>>546372
Chuckle.
"C'mon, let's not keep the ships waiting. Show 'em who's the stallion."
Back to the fleet we go!

546376

>>546373
"I do have something for you. See that ship coming into harbor? I'd bet a week's pay that's got our representative on it. Go get him so we can sail out."

>>546374
Wark ruffles the manes of little Adel and Lilly. Red and Grey are out playing somewhere. "Oh, ya, they're merry lit'l souls."

>>546375
You return.

546377

>>546376
I'm ready now!

546378

>>546369
I suppose while we're waiting, I'll see if I can't find any interesting crew aboard the ship.

546379

>>546376
So he's betting the fat number of zero coins on it?
Smirk.
"My pleasure, captain."
Off to the ship.

546380

>>546376
"There is one issue however… who will look after them during the coming battles? I would like to have both Rosemary and Puzzle with me for their healing skills…"

546381

>>546376
You find an earth pony spreading seeds on the deck. Odd.

>>546379
Non-raiders that stay on the ship get salary instead of commission.

>>546380
"Tch. Sounds like ya can't find enough doctors."

"Haha… a pity Doctor Cutter stayed behind in Stonebriar."

"Y'know, Red 'n' Grey may still be young, but they're gettin' mature. I spend a lot of time with them… teachin' the little lassies how ta care fer their sisters."

546382

>>546378
You find an earth pony spreading seeds on the deck. Odd.

546383

>>546381
Off to the ship with the daimyo's rep.

546384

>>546381
"You… think they could handle it?"

546385

>>546382
"Good evening there.
…May I ask what you are doing?"

546386

>>546383
It's clear immediately which one is the daimyo's rep. Everyone on deck looks like a sailor, except for one pony draped in a purple cloak that is overflowing with gold ornaments and jewelry. She's scribing as she walks. This must be the daimyo's personal cartographer or scribe.

>>546384
"Well, as long as we're still on the ships anyway, they can babysit while we're up on deck. I wouldn' leave em alone fer three days or something." He chuckles.

>>546385
"Not quite evening yet, is it? Have you seen the birds around here? Specifically the eagles. The HUGE ones."

546387

>>546386
"Can't say as I have, no. What about them?"

546388

>>546387
"Eh, they remind me of home. I'm trying to lure one in, but it now occurs to me that eagles don't eat seeds, do they? I need to find some meat…"

546389

>>546386
Stand on alt, looking straight at her. As she looks back, bow my head for an instant.
"Representative, I've been tasked to escort you to our ship."

546390

>>546389
"Hm. I had been told the privateers were foreigners."

546391

>>546386
"Hm. Yes, of course. Very well then, that will work. Have either of you seen Puzzle?"

546392

>>546391
"She's probably in her cabin. Where's Who?"

"Happy Puzzle, tha Neighponese mare."

"No, Who, the Breezie."

"Cannae say… wit that bubbly cauldron dandy, probly."

546393

>>546390
"I am just as foreigner as they are, representative.
Our crew is a large melting pot.
"

546394

>>546393
"Very well. Let's go. There are only four ships in port so I think I can tell which are yours. The escort was hardly necessary."

546395

>>546392
Hmm, let's pay a visit to the burgers.

546396

>>546395
Burnside is on deck.

Strom is at the helm of the Hourglass.

546397

>>546388
"Maybe the seeds will lure in birds you can use as bait for the eagles? Why do the eagles remind you of home?"

546398

>>546392
"Very well, prepare yourselves then. Please go collect miss Puzzle and bring her along to the deck."
Take one last look at the kids with a smile, then leave.

546399

>>546396
Let's talk with Burnie.
"Sup'?"

546400

>>546394
"It would be rude not to show a guest around first."
To the Darklantern, bring her to the commodore.

546401

>>546399
He's talking to Hircus.

"Birds."

>>546397
"They're on the flag."

>>546398
"Leaving Who behind? Maybe he can help supervise… though his small size might make it hard."

>>546400
"Ah, you must be the daimyo's representative."

"That is correct. I have a map here. I also have more detailed maps of each town when we arrive at each."

546402

>>546401
Wave at him too.
"Hey.
Uh, birds?"

546403

>>546401
"I see." Turn to see who's coming up.
>>546399
"Hello there. I do not believe we've talked before."

546404

>>546401
"Are there informations on the positions of the enemy's forces?"

546405

>>546402
"Birds, the Giant Eagles. I want to catch one."

>>546404
"Only static placements like cannons. Troops will be moved around, and especially ships. Our enemy is not stationary."

546406

>>546403
"I don't think we did. Name's Emrille."

>>546405
"Why? And how?"

546407

>>546401
"Yes… Five is a crowd. I am certain he will manage on his own this time. Oh and Rosemary… I do hope you still have your gun."

546408

>>546405
"What's the scale of this map? How many nautical miles between each city?"

546409

>>546406
"I just said! They remind me of home, because they're on the flag."

>>546407
"Let me see!"

Her butt waves in the air as she digs through the closet. Surprisingly Wark isn't eying that marshmellow ass: he's giving Lilly and Adel a goodbye kiss on the forehead each.

546410

I believe I was faffing with Emmy and Chip.

546411

>>546406
"Hircus. Pleasure to meet you."

546412

>>546410
That's over: it's noon.

When you woke up in the morning Who was nestled into your tail.

546413

>>546409
Good.

Because I will eye that ass for sure.

546414

>>546409
"Want me to shoot one down for you"?

>>546411
"So, what's up with you, huh?"

546415

>>546412
Actually, fuck it, go get Happy Puzzle.

546416

>>546412
In my tail? He must have been rolling around in his sleep.

Is he still in my hair in the afternoon?

I'll spend the time inbetween preparing 2 bottles of Heal and one Magic Bolt bottle.

546417

>>546413
It's a very nice ass. She pulls out her gun.

"Got it! Let's go!"

>>546415
HP is behind you. "Hiya!"

546418

>>546416
Done and done. And yes, he rides around in your mane for the day.

546419

546420

>>546417
"Good."
I start slightly at Puzzle's sudden appearance.
"Hm, there you are. Ready for action, I hope?"

546421

>>546408
She conveys information about the cities to the point where you are impressed and satisfied.

546422

>>546414
"Well… I'm starting to try and get to know the crew, since apparently that's important to some loud-mouthed bunny I met up in the rigging."

546423

>>546420
"Yep!"

546424

>>546418
Alright then.
I'll report in with LH.

>>546420
"Hello, miss Heart. I'm reporting in for battle."

546425

>>546424
>>546420
Selena arrives. Who is in her hair.

546426

>>546421
I am having a great time and my immersion is complete.
Bow to Abilio and the rep.
"I will inform captain Marsh we are ready to depart."

546427

>>546423
I smile.
"Good."

If all three of them are ready… I'll kiss goodbye to the kids and head outside.

>>546424
"Miss Springleaf. I hope you had a pleasant night."

>>546425
"And… mister Who. Making friends so swiftly?"

546428

>>546422
I facehoof.
"Oh for…. that fucking rabbit, I swear."

546429

>>546427
"I slept like a rose. And I had such pleasant dreams."

546430

546431

>>546427
>>546429
He gives a smile. "One night on ship and shared a mare bed."

546432

546433

546434

>>546428
"I actually don't mind. I'm… not used to working with groups, and that pushiness was… kind of what I needed to get started.
I had a very nice talk with Selena about explosives because of it, so… I can't really complain."

546435

>>546434
"You're some sort of recluse then? I knew a mare like that."

546436

>>546431
"Yes… well if you are concerned about sleeping accommodations, you are free to sleep in my cabin as well. I do believe there is space for you there."

546437

>>546426
"Dismissed, then."

>>546414
"That would defeat the purpose."

546438

>>546430
"Yes I dreamt I was sailing a ship on a river and on both sides were all tiny villages full of Breezies, it was great!"

>>546431
I snicker.
"Isn't he charming, miss Heart?"

546439

>>546437
"What if I just clipped it's wing with a bullet? Then we can catch it, and you can even nurse it back to health!"

546440

>>546435
"I'm a thief by profession. Interacting with other ponies… usually doesn't end well for me."

546441

>>546439
"It is not befitting a majestic creature. I will tame it."

546442

>>546438
"I see."
I smirk.
"He certainly is."

546443

>>546441
"How?"

546444

>>546437
Off to the Sirocco.

546445

>>546442
I look towards the sea
"Are we close to the….target?"

546446

>>546445
"Ships move, miss Springleaf. We do not know the locations of any of our targets save for the ports."

546447

>>546446
"So we just wait and hope it shows up?"

546448

>>546440
"Oh come on, don't be such a fucking pussy. I'm a killer by proffession, and I have no problems with talking!"

546449

>>546447
"No, we look in the places they are likely operating in. Unless we plan on immediately attacking a port."

546450

>>546443
"I am sure once I find the one, things will work out. Have a little faith."

>>546444
Sirocco it is. Every one ready?

546451

>>546450
"…so you are just hoping to get one?"

546452

>>546450
Ready for duty, cap'n.

546453

>>546450
I sure am.
"Captain. The representative is with the Commodore now. Ready to sail."

546454

546455

>>546449
"Uh…I do not really know my place during the battle. I prepared some healing potions and some greek fire just in case.
Do you have any place I should be or should I stick with you, miss Heart?"

546456

>>546448
"Thieves don't kill their marks unless they have to. Do the job right, and nopony'll ever know you were there. The explosives are just in case things get… messy.
Plus, it's a rare pony that trusts a thief. For good reason."

546457

>>546455
"Stick with me for the time being. If you are needed somewhere specifically, you will know."

546458

>>546456
"Hey, I can trust you, but you can trust my word on this too… lay a single hair on either my guns or my gold and you're good as dead."

546459

>>546457
Salute.
"Roger that!" I say enthusiastically.

546460

>>546451
"I am luring them with seed."

>>546452
>>546453
>>546454
Onward and outward!

Where to first?

Shiba, Ichi, or Uraurafutsu?

546461

>>546460
Uraurafutsu seems to be the closest if we're going for ports. Not sure what the difference would be though.

546462

>>546460
Use the informations the mare gave me to make the best possible tactical decision.

546463

>>546460
"I don't think eagles eat seeds."

546464

>>546462
You can't make tactical decisions from a distance. You'd have to formulate a strategic decision.

546465

>>546461
>>546460
I'm with LH.
She knows best.

546466

>>546463
"Yes, we just had this discussion."

546467

>>546458
Give her a knowing grin.
"Case in point. It's easier to just stick to the shadows, grab what you want, and disappear. Then you wouldn't know you to be mad at."
>>546460
I'm just the new hire, but… Uraurafutsu?

546468

>>546464
If, as you said, 'she gives you all the infos you want about the cities' , then I should be able to evalutate the best target.

546469

>>546466
"Don't be fucking dumb. Eagles eat rats and shit."

>>546467
"Eh, too boring. I like to know I won."

546470

>>546468
You have the following information to work with:

1) The local economy, all three are heavily trade-based, there is a copper mine in Shiba, there are fishing villages around Uraurafutsu. Ichi is the hardest target, specializing in military production.

2) Cannon placement locations, there are far more in Ichi

3) Distance from Awa, Shiba is the furthest, Uraurafutsu is the closest

4) An outdated troop count, but Ichi had the most.

Choose based on that.

>>546469
"I'll catch normal birds first, then lure them in with these birds."

546471

>>546469
"If I'm feeling vindictive, a grenade in the pocket works just as well, and they still don't know who to blame."

546472

>>546467
>>546465
>>546461
While Flowing decides on how to vote, the rest of you outvote him and the ships head for Uraurafutsu.

LH roll for encounters.

546473

>>546461
This is a d6 encounter die.

546474

>>546470
Uraurafutsu seems the best option.

546475

>>546472

Roll #1 6 = 6

546476

>>546475
It is not long after Awa disappears on the horizon that you encounter a couple of ships flying Takikaga flags. Given your enlistment as privateers, you're now flying Awa banners. A fight is imminent.

546477

>>546470
"Well you didn't say that!"

>>546471
"But then how do you rub it in?"

>>546476
Fuck yeah, let's do this!

546478

>>546476
Stand on deck.

"Wondeful.
I just needed the practice."
Turn to the captain.
"Sir. Awaiting orders."

546479

>>546477
"You don't. Then again, you also don't have to worry about them or their enraged family members coming after you."

546480

>>546476
"Beat to quarters for us."

Spyglass out. What kind of ships are we talking here? How many portholes?

546481

>>546480
Perception roll, of course.

Roll #1 6 = 6

546482

>>546476
Ready to go.

546483

>>546477
"We did, but you weren't there for that part!"

>>546478
"Eighth turn to starboard. Full sail. We'll box them in."

>>546480
Two light corvettes. It's hard to make out how many guns they have, but their main advantage is light speed. They won't take much of a barrage from the Darklantern and they will likely not let you line up a shot.

546484

>>546483
I assume the first mate should be shouring those orders out loud, right?
If she's too busy, do it myself.

546485

>>546483
Fly up to the highest crow's nest of the Darklantern.
Scope out!

546486

>>546485
Roll perception.

546487

>>546486
'1d10'

Roll #1 9 = 9

546488

>>546483
Speed and maneuverability. But that's our bread and butter as well. Let's hope the wind is in our favor.
Captain has the helm?
We hauling ass?
"FULL SAIL!"

546489

>>546476
Get ready.

546490

>>546487
These ships have only chase guns… they look more equipped for boarding. They want to seize the ships, or employ other tricks. Pegasus knights are preparing for battle on deck.

Roll for Darklantern

>>546488
>>546484
Flowing tree finishing relaying the part of the order you left out.

Roll for Sirocco

546491

>>546490
"They've got pegasi, get ready to shoot them down!"

Roll #1 7 = 7

546492

>>546490
Should I be helping with the rigging or something?

546493

>>546492
Nah, that's menial work. You could take a cannon if you have a mind to.

546494

>>546490
'1d10'
Maybe Marsh needs to relay orders better then.

Roll #1 1 = 1

546495

>>546490
Do we all have to roll for Sirocco, or only LH?

546496

>>546493
Eh, why not? Let's see how far they are before they're in range.

546497

>>546494
The Sirocco pulls far ahead of the Darklantern and gets peppered with chasegun shots, missing its own shots.

There's an explosion down below as gunpowder barrels go off, and the ship is crippled. Both ships pull alongside the Sirocco to use it for screening, and pegasi begin to board as ropes and ladders are strung across.

Your own menials retreat below deck…

Boarding Pegasus x 6

Boarding Seastallion x15

>>546496
You're slammed against the wall as the gunpowder stores are lit. You're helpless.

>>546491
The Darklantern has presented a broad side to fire, but the other ships use the Sirocco to screen! Abilio commands for the ship to be brought around to close, but you have to get over there and help!

546498

>>546497
Whistle and rally the troops!
"TO ARMS YOU MULES!
DO YOU WANT TO LIVE FOREVER?
"
Slice and dice, tear onto two stallions.
'4d10'+1 each.

Roll #1 5, 5, 8, 5 = 23

546499

>>546497
I can start helping from over here.
Shoot one of the ponies who are at the helm of the hostile ships.
Air Marksman Shot!

Roll #1 1 + 1 = 2

546500

>>546497
Shit! Get back up so I can start sneaking! '1d10'

Roll #1 3 = 3

546501

>>546497
"Boarders on deck! To arms! I want this filth removed on the double!"
Cheap Shot one of the pegasi.
Wark can go in for melee against whoever tries to charge us first '1d10'
HP Lovepone can set up a substitute '1d10'
And Rosemary can shoot one of the pegasi as well.

Roll #1 7 = 7 / Roll #2 4 = 4

546502

For Rosemary '1d10'

Roll #1 8 = 8

546503

Grab my pistols and shoot one of those pegasi '1d10'

Roll #1 3 = 3

546504

>>546497
Oh fuck me… is it too far away to Teleport over?
Get some swords ready to send at these ching chongs.

Roll #1 6 + 2 = 8

546505

>>546498
Your blades flash as you rip and tear into the first two boarders, and they fall down into the sea, unable to cross.

One soldier does get through, though, and jabs you directly in the chest.

>>546500
Agh… pull yourself together Hircus! Come on… get up! +1 to next attempt to get up.

You're also not in vision of the enemy. Consider yourself Stealthed here.

>>546501
HP scribbles a face on a log but it doesn't look convincing enough to her so she frowns and erases it. Wark bravely cleaves halfway through one stallion and turns to take on the next one. Rosemary finishes him off with a hesitant shot.

(Be sure to give a number on which ones you're aiming at for each attack.)

The first pegasus you shot gets back up. Seven soldiers charge you. Wark intercepts the first three. The first two hits aren't so bad, but the third one catches him by surprise and jabs him between the ribs. He collapses.

Rosemary gets knocked down on the first hit, and HP gets laid into by two seastallions.

The seventh attacks you directly. He charges, but you sidestep and he falls off the deck to the sea.

>>546503
That shot to the wing only made him angrier! You did draw blood, though.

Two stallions close on you and begin to attack from all sides. It's overwhelming dealing with so many at once. A slash here, a slash there – the one gets you from behind really bad!

>>546499
You fall to the deck as a huge wave bucks you from your perch. Ouch!

>>546504
It's a big distance, but you might be able to make it with a good roll.

You ready 3 swords.

Everyone: You notice that the pegasus are not engaging you directly and attacking. Instead, they're stripping the sails to disable the ship.

>>546508
You completely eviscerate the pony who stabbed you, then rip up another.

The first pony to attack you barely scratches you, but the next catches you off balance and digs in with his blade, leaving you bleeding on the deck.

>>546509
You fly up as high as you can, evading a few blades for just now.

Sooner or later you'll dive back into the fray, though…

>>546510
You roll back up.

>>546512
You feel truly shiny as you appear on the deck of the Sirocco in a blast of light!

You feel less shiny when two interlopers take swipes at you, though glancingly.

>>546511
You line up a beautiful shot and knock him to the deck, dead.

HP helps Wark up with a refreshing heal.

Rosemary gets trampled and ends up Dazed. -1 to next roll.

Wark chips one of the boarders.

The boarders have now shifted their focus back to the two of you.

Wark holds off two hits, then has to back off.

Stallions 8 and 9 close on HP and Rosemary, slashing them while they're hurt and down respectively.

Another stallion tries to leap on top of you, but you catch him in the mouth with a gun and fire.

THE PEGASI HAVE FINISHED DISABLING THE SAILS AND WILL JOIN THE MELEE

Wark begins a defensive position. He guards against a glancing attack but can't cover anyone else.

Captain Marsh trades blows with the pegasi. He kills one of them, but they overwhelm him and kill him.

The Pegasi are terrrorizing the menials, killing them left and right.

Ciddir is gravely wounded by the Pegasus attacks and retreats belowdecks.

Shake my head a bit coming to my senses. '1d10' appraise the trap.
"I only got here last so I don't have hardly anything yet. "

Roll #1 5 = 5

546774

>>546771
"If they come around us from all sides they'll sink our vessel first."

>>546773
"You should move in with me! I have a big pony roommate and she'd love you."

It looks like there's a quick release at the top.

546775

>>546772
Oh
Okay
I will just wait for the action then

546776

>>546767
I could ride to the Sircco.

546777

>>546776
>>546775
>>546773
>>546771
>>546769
Battle now or wait for tomorrow? I have all week off.

546778

>>546777
Tomorrow.

546779

>>546774
Blush a bit "move in with you? I just met you! And I can't leave my little sister alone too long.. Who is your roommate?"

546780

>>546777
tomorrow

546781

>>546777
Now is fine for me. Unless the others want to stop.

546782

>>546777
probably better to do it tomorrow

546783

>>546777
Sounds like people would rather wait until tomorrow.

546784

>>546777
Tomorrow I guess.

546785

>>546779
"Sometimes Light Heart, sometimes Selena. Your sister can come too. So… your mother must have been the big pony if you have a sister like that, right?"

546786

>>546777
Perhaps tomorrow or weekened.s

546787

>>546785
Shake my head. "I adopted her. She wants to find her real family, and I want to see the big pony world."
let down the trapped pony. "be more careful." I caution him.

546788

>>546787
He takes off.

"Aha! But you still like being around big ponies, then. So do I. We have so much in common!"

546789

>>546788
"Big ponies seem more fun than the valley breezies." Smile. "You have some parts to play with in your room with Selena and Lightheart?"

546790

>>546789
"Oh yes, I have been trying to get permission to play with their parts for a while…"

546791

>>546790
Stare for a moment and then laugh. "Big ponies need big gifts. Lets see if we can build one for them."
'1d10' look for anything that I could use to build something with.

Roll #1 2 = 2

546792

>>546791
Not much around here but rope and wooden scraps.

"What're you looking for?"

546793

>>546792
"Metal scarps, screws, bolts, paper clips, a cup or a vase. Maybe we can do something with this wood.."
Shake my head with disappointment, but pick up some of the drier wood.
"may have to go to town.

546794

>>546793
"I like town, but not all big ponies care for Breezies."

546795

>>546794
"Tree-Sempai said he could help me buy materials, after the battle."

546796

>>546795
"Nice of him. Maybe we can look for natural materials together in the meantime? Have you ever worked with vines?"

546797

>>546796
make an expression as if the idea is distasteful.
"A couple of times. but it breaks down much faster if its made from something like that. Have to keep replacing it, bargaining with druids.."

546991

I'll go find LH after talking to Tela.
"Hello, miss Heart."

546992

>>546991
"Miss Springleaf. Something you require?"

546993

>>546992
"That was uh…quite a battle…wasn't it?"

546995

>>546993
I nod.
"Why yes it was. A well-needed warm up perhaps."
I chuckle.

546996

>>546995
I gulp and remain silent.
Visibly shaken.

546997

>>546996
Raise a brow questioningly.
"Miss Springleaf? Are you quite alright? You seem very distraught."

546998

>>546997
"Uh…well…."
My ears flop down.
"Can we talk somewhere…alone?

546999

>>546998
"… Of course. My cabin should be suitable. The repairs have not finished yet anyway. Come."
Lead her to my cabin and close the door behind us. I think the kids and Who are in the mansion.

547000

>>546999
Sit down.
I take off my hat.
"I don't think I'm cut out for this."

547001

>>547000
"For… battle, I'm guessing?"

547002

>>546999
>>547001
>>547000
Wark brought them back to your cabin. Red is perched on his head, laughing. The two little ones are wrestling below him, and Grey is overlooking them with a smile.

He gives you a look that says I just got these kids to stop being distraught from the battle.

547003

>>547002
Hmmm. Let's say we go to the mansion then and use one of the empty rooms. Our wings should carry us there in no time.

547004

>>547003
YES LET'S

547005

>>547003
Grey calls to you as you depart, but Wark distracts her so you can leave.

547006

>>547004
>>547003
You arrive at the mansion. Lacy Doily is here in the foyer, dusting.

547007

>>547006
I'll go check on Felix.

547008

>>547005
I'll talk to her later. I'll need to have some kind of daily agenda and let people make appointments to talk to me at this rate!

Once we find a place to talk in privat-

>>547006
… What's she doing here?
Nevermind, I'll deal with that later. Find a room to talk in first. Maybe my old room if no one is there right now.

547009

>>547006
Empty room?

547010

>>547007
She's hiding under the stairs.

"Big sis! I heard an explosion!"

>>547008
That room is empty. She raises a brow when she sees you, but says nothing.

547011

>>547010
>>547009
"Here we go. Start over if you please."

547012

>>547010
Pat her head a few times. "Yes, The ship was in a battle. Its not completely over either."

547013

>>547012
"Do you want to hide in my pocket?"

Who glides over. "She's tiny for a big pony! We could keep her in a shoebox and they'd never notice her in my room."

547014

>>547011
Look around and sit down.
"Yes…for battle."

547015

>>547014
"How come? Was this your first time in a combat situation? I remember that one story you told me where you decided to avoid attacking those ponies."

547016

>>547013
Shake my head. "I'm gonna help keep the ship's fighter's alive. They need help. And if they die, then you're in danger sis." I explain cautiously.

"I heard there were other children here. Maybe she can stay with them for the time being"

547017

>>547013
Something something THE SOUND OF BATTLE.
What are my orders?

547018

>>547015
I nod.
"I didn't think it would be so…"
I pause.
"The cannonfire, the blood….Ciddir almost died, Light Heart."

547019

>>547017
Wait until the Sirocco is ready.

>>547016
"They're in my room!"

"Okay…"

547020

>>547019
"How are you feeling, captain Marsh?"

547021

>>547019
my cheeks go red a bit. "Why didn't you say so? Lets go there!"

"Hey, Sis. There's a room that will be safer for you. And there are some other foals your size to play with. You wanna go now?"

547022

>>547018
I nod.
"Yes, almost. Death is always possible in this line of work, Selena. But we have a resurrectionist to alleviate that. Of course, not dying would be optimal, but even if the worst happens… you are not gone forever. I… myself have died on several occasions."

547023

>>547021
"Um, okay… if you think it's best!"

Who glides you over there.

In the room, there is a donkey playing with two fillies about Felix's age and two very young infants. They seem to be having a very good time and don't even notice the three of you.

>>547020
"More or less ship shape. Sure beats the last time I kicked it. I was fishing soil out of my spine for weeks."

547024

>>547023
Nudge Felix. "See, they are having a nice time, and they are Equestrian. Go say hi."

547025

>>547022
I nod.
"I know, but when I was up there, in the middle of the battle."
I shake my head.
"I didn't know what to do anymore, I just flew at random and even one of my baubles blew up in my hooves…."
Look at my scorched hooves.
"I was blundering around more than I helped…"

547026

>>547024
"It's been a long time since I played with other kids… what if they don't like me big sis?"

547027

>>547026
"What, somepony who doesn't like my little sister? Impossible." Smile.
"Just go try, and if you hit a wall do this with your hoof and I'll come bail you out." make a little circle motion with my hoof.

547028

>>547025
"Ah… you merely panicked. It is natural to do so when you are not used to battle yet, your primal instinct kicks in and you are filled to the brim with adrenaline, which is quite hard to deal with if you are not experienced yet. I promise you, it will get better. Rosemary cried after her first battle, but I never blamed her for that either, nor would I do so today"

547029

>>547028
I sniffle and brush my aside aside.
"I won't ever get used to that…"

547030

>>547023
"Sounds like quite the experience.
What was on the other side?"

547031

>>547029
"Everypony thinks so at first. Sadly, it is the truth."
Put a steady hoof on her shoulder.
"Do you wish to hear about my first battle?"

547032

>>547031
I lean towards you and put my head on your shoulder.
I nod.

547033

>>547032
"When I was young and had left the house mere months before… I found myself in the company of a group of ponies with whom I traveled and worked with. We went from town to village, from city to outpost, carrying our belongings on our backs and sleeping under the stars. One night, while I was assigned as one of the watchponies for the camp, I was wandering a bit too close to a nearby set of bushes and not paying any particular attention. It was only at the last moment that I spotted somepony silently galloping toward me out of the corner of my eye. I swiftly turned around and immediately fired my weapon… but missed."
I chuckle.
"I suppose I was lucky enough to have spotted him before he reached me and silenced me."

547034

>>547033
"Did he run away?"

547035

>>547034
I shake my head.
"Not at all, he leapt towards me with a drawn knife and attempted to stab me. He was not alone either, shots were being fired at our camp from the bushes. My friends grabbed their own weapons and took cover to return fire. Unfortunately, one of my own ponies misfired attempting to help me and I was shot in the leg. The pain caused me to lose my grip and the pony I was wrestling with stabbed me in the shoulder with ease. He then retreated and left me for dead while I was bleeding out. The battle went on for a few more minutes, but eventually our attackers relented and retreated. Several of our own had fallen and we managed to kill some of them as well. I had lost a lot of blood however… and with my heart that is not a desirable thing in the slightest. I blacked out soon after and only woke up again about a day later. I felt horrible, my body was weak and I could feel my heartbeat hammering away throughout my entire body."

547036

>>547035
I listen closely and bite my lip.
"Did you think about going back home then?"

547037

>>547036
I chuckle.
"More than once. I only wished to go back home and spend the rest of my life in bed at that moment. Not what I would call my finest hour, but I did get through it. I missed my family dearly, but I had friends and ponies I could count on which gave me strength. I had fully recovered a few days later and was able to walk and fly again with ease. We had… lost some good ponies however, and our group split up a few weeks after that. The next few battles I had I was always on edge… but by training both my skills and mind, I eventually grew confident enough to cast that doubt and fear away."

547038

>>547037
I'm silent for a few seconds as I think about that…
I sniffle and hug you.
"I miss home…."

547039

>>547030
"Same thing I always get, just black. Some time to think I suppose."

>>547027
A light mottled unicorn comes over and asks, "Hi! What's your name?"

Felix panics and slams her hoof against a wall, swiftly making rapid circles.

547040

>>547039
wow.. being in my basement was really bad for her
Fly over to her quick and make excited gestures.
"Little Sister! There you are! Did you find any doll clothes? I have a great idea to make a new outfit."
gently motion for her to come away from the wall by offering her a hug.

547041

What's up?

547042

>>547038
"Now now…"
Return the hug and rub her back with a hoof comfortingly.
"I know it is hard, but we are here for you. We may not be your family by blood, but that does not mean you are standing alone."

547043

>>547040
Grey looks confused. "Are you okay?"

>>547040
"Uh… not yet!"

She hugs you close like a security blanket.

>>547041
No content, only faffs now.

547044

>>547043
Strom?

547045

>>547039
"Just black. Alone with your thoughts.
Eh."
Let out a small chuckle.
"I've never died yet."

547046

>>547043
hold her close and whisper
"Its okay Little Sister. You'll be safe in here."

547047

>>547044
He is over on the Hourglass appreciating Burnside's giant eagle, which he is riding around like a bucking bull.

>>547045
He chuckles. "I'm sure you will. It's a dangerous line of work. That's why we travel with a resurrectionist."

>>547046
"Are you sure?"

547048

>>547046
She eyes the laughing ponies playing peek-a-boo with the donkey suspiciously.

547049

>>547047
Land beside him.
"Well fuck me, he did get that eagle."

547050

>>547047
>>547048
"well, nothing has blown up yet! So its safer than my old workshop so far!" Snicker.
Stare at the Donkey and children '1d10' appraise.

Roll #1 3 = 3

547051

>>547047
Nod.
"I've had the pleasure to meet him.
Truth be told, I do not know what waits for me on the other side. I've only ever worshipped strength and conviction, be it of equine or the powers of the world.
Matters of nature, I suppose."

547052

>>547049
"Eh? You thought he wouldn't? Hope you didn't bet money on that."

>>547050
They look like they're having >fun

It reminds you of that one time you had fun. Was it awful?

>>547051
"Mother Nature is perhaps the most enigmatic of the pantheon. We have one or two of her followers on the fleet. You might not guess it, but Face is one of 'em."

547053

>>547052
Chuckle.
"The second mate?
I do concede, it wouldn't have been one of my first guesses."

547054

>>547052
was it totally awful? I bet it was. '1d10'

Roll #1 4 = 4

547055

>>547052
"I didn't, but his plan sounded weird. I didn't think the eagles are dumb enough to fall for it."

547056

>>547053
"He worships in his own way. The lack of guidance leaves Nature followers to their own devices."

>>547054
It looks like it was more good than awful, assuming you were rolling for amount of awfulness.

>>547055
"Well, I don't think the eagle expected him to jump on its back."

He comments without taking his eyes off the bucking bird.

547057

>>547056
"Think it'll tire anytime soon?"

547058

>>547056
"okay, Felix? Lets walk over together this time.
They look like they are harmless.
"

547059

>>547056
Nod with a tiny smile.
"Who could tell, maybe I'm already doing enough."

547060

>>547057
He shrugs. "I'm not exactly sure about how he plans to get it down. Good thing we've stopped for a while."

>>547058
"Alriiight."

A curious face shoves in between you two.

"Who's your tiny friend?"

>>547059
"Perhaps. The only way to know for sure is to die I suppose."

547061

>>547060
"Hello! I'm Manako. This is my little sister Felix.
What kind of game are you playing?"

547062

>>547060
Chuckle.
"Not in a hurry, captain.
Today is not the right day, after all."

547063

>>547060
Snicker.
"We should make this a show and charge for admission."

547064

>>547061
"Nothing, daddy's being silly."

She giggles. The Donkey is now letting the two little ones gnaw on his long ears.

There's a red earth pony on his head, still, barking orders at them.

>>547062
"Perhaps you'll speak to Face, then. Or Ciddir, the deer."

>>547063
"I don't suppose it can go on for MUCH longer. They've already been at it for fifteen minutes."

547065

>>547064
"I see." smirk a bit. "Why don't you pull on his tail. "

547066

>>547064
"Later, perhaps.
Master Ciddir was gravely wounded, he needs rest."

547067

>>547066
"Very well then."

>>547065
"Am I allowed to play? I'm not sure."

Grey scrunches. "What're you so whispery about?!"

547068

>>547064
"You think Burnie will win?"

547069

>>547068
"I wouldn't bet against it."

547070

>>547067
"This is like a game that the young breezy would play. They'll love it!" encourage Felix

"Nothing, do you have any toys here?" I reply to grey.

547071

>>547067
"I do wonder though, where master Face is hiding…"

547072

>>547069
"And on it?"

547073

>>547071
"He stopped by here earlier. Probably in his cabin."

>>547072
"Eh."

>>547070
"Um, not so much since the ship was salvaged. Maybe after we get some more money…"

Felix tentatively leaps up onto the bed. She pulls Wark's tail hesitantly but he doesn't remark on it.

547074

>>547073
"Umm what about some spare cloth, cotton, or buttons?"
giggle a bit at felix's antics.

547075

>>547073
"I will pay him a visit as soon as the battle is over.
For the moment, I will keep sharp."
Is there a spyglass around?

547076

>>547073
"You don't belive in your pal?"

547077

>>547074
"Maybe in the closet?"

She tugs a little harder…

>>547075
Not on deck.

>>547076
"I don't hear you placing bets."

547078

>>547077
"Okay, go check! Bring back anything soft, or shiny that won't be missed! We'll make a toy!"
float over and try to tickle the donkey. '1d10'

Roll #1 9 = 9

547079

>>547077
"Sir, is there a spyglass on the ship?"

547080

>>547077
"I bet I could shoot down that eagle without hurting him,but I don't think he'd like that."

547081

>>547079
"These days spares probably aren't just laying around. We can't afford meat rations, much less fine instruments. You'll have to borrow someone's personal spyglass. You can use mine if you return it right away."

>>547080
"That wasn't a bet, and no, he wouldn't."

547082

>>547081
"Yeah but we could wager on it."

547083

>>547082
"I think I'm understanding why you have no friends."

547084

>>547081
"Thank you sir.
I will just search the horizon for the enemy."
Off to the captain's cabin to fetch the thing.

547085

>>547083
Scrunch.
"What? Fuck you, I do have friends!"

547086

>>547084
He hoofs it to you before you have the chance to leave. Why would you take the helm without it?

You only see the fleeing cutter in the distance.

547087

>>547085
"If you say so."

547088

>>547086
What's the damage on them?

547089

>>547087
"There's Tela for one!"

547090

>>547088
Unharmed.

>>547089
"Look, he's coming down."

Burnside gracefully glides down and parks his eagle.

"That'll do it."

547091

>>547090
Smirk.
"I am impressed."

547092

>>547090
"Mhpf."
Put the spyglass away and hoof it back to the cap.
"We should hurry, before they can lead us wherever they please.

547093

>>547078
He chuckles a bit as you tickle at his sides.

>>547092
>>547091
Time for battle. End faff, back to present.

547094

>>547093
I'll be on the crow's nest of the Darklantern.
Fuck me if I'll stay on the ramming ship.

547095

>>547094
You stow your rifle in the hold, knowing it will be useless to you in the coming battle. Better man a cannon instead.

547096

>>547093
Smirk smugly. "See Sis, that's how you play this game."

547097

>>547096
The duty bell rings and Wark kisses the kids on the forehead.

"Alright, Grey and Red, look after yer little sisters, hm?"

547098

>>547093
Sitrep?

547099

This post needs four unique replies for the battle to start.

547100

>>547099
I'm ready.

547101

>>547099
Unique reply.

547102

>>547095
What?
Fuck no, my rifle always stays with me

>>547099
Fine, let's take position at a canon.

547103

>>547099
We need a new thread please

547104

>>547097
"Stay here. Okay? I'll be back." Ruffle felix's mane and float off to find Flowing Tree.
>>547099
yarr

547105

>>547104
Raise a brow at her arrival.

547107

547116

>>547042
I sniffle again.
"When I felt bad, my mother always sang me a song…"

547135

>>547116
"Well… it has been some time since I last sang…"

547141

>>547135
I look down.
"It's okay….I can't help thinking about her right now. I wonder what' she'd think of me."

547142

>>547141
Put my hoof under your chin and gently lift your gaze up to my level.
"You have chosen your own path in life, Selena. And you are now in service of one of her close friends as a result. I very much doubt she wouldn't be proud of you."

547144

>>547142
I smile bit.
"You really think so?"

547165

>>547144
I nod confidently.
"I know so. You will be an amazing mage and potionmaker before long."

547170

>>547165
"I hope she will be proud, wherever she is…"

547174

>>547170
"What… was she like, exactly?"

547191

>>547174
I think for a second.
"….she had it very hard, I never realized that as a filly. She had to raise me all by herself while keeping the potion shop up and running. We never really had much money and some of the townsfolk looked down on her for having a daughter while being unmarried. And despite all that, she was always strong, she always knew what to do. She used to say that she had me and that was enough…."
I rub my eyes.
"You know, we had like this special tradition on hearts warming eve."

547193

>>547191
I smile.
"It is a family holiday after all… what did you do?"

547203

>>547193
I smile as I think back.
"It's a bit silly. As I said, we never had a lot of money. But she saved a bit throughout the year so we could get a good dinner on Heart Warmings Eve and even a tree! I was always so happy when I saw the tree sparkling with lights. But one year we didn't have enough money for a tree. So the day before Eve, I snuck outside before dawn and started making a snowpony of me and her and one snowtree. The tree was so big, I couldn't get to the top to finish it, but when she came outside she lifted me up so I could get to the top. Then she poured a sparkly potion on it, that made it glow just like a Heart Warmings Eve tree, and we spent the Eve with each other near the fire looking at the sparkling tree near the window. And since then every year we made one."

I smile in unison.
"What a heartwarming tale. We never had much snow back home… a shame, it must make it all the more magical."

547214

>>547211
"What is Heart Warmings Eve in Dixie like?"

547222

>>547214
"It is more of a family holiday and has less to do with the traditional meaning of it all. Many of the colonist ponies who came to Dixie were once Equestrians after all."

547225

>>547222
"But you still have a family tree and presents don't you?"

547226

>>547225
"Oh yes, certainly. My family was… quite well off and we were very close. We always had large dinners."

547227

>>547226
"I once saw a picture of Dixie. It showed these beautiful large white mansions and large fields. Is it really like that?"

547236

>>547227
I nod.
"Quite so, yes. My family had a mansion once… but it unfortunately blew up. I owned a mansion myself too a few years ago… but it blew up as well. Granted, I was responsible for the explosion of the latter one, but still."

547238

>>547236
"That sounds like quite a story."

547251

>>547238
"Hm… yes, perhaps I will tell you it one day."
Sly wink.

547252

>>547250
I smile.
"I'll keep you to that."
I get up again.
"..Thanks for listening Light Heart. It means a lot to me."
Give you the H. '1d10'

Return the wing H.
"Do not worry about it. You will make it far here, Selena. All you need is a bit of… guidance."

547256

>>547254
Nod.
"I think I'm ready for what comes next…..I should brew up some more healing potions.."

547264

>>547256
"Good. Let us go beat this enemy then."

547267

>>547264
"Right."
I get up after giving you a smile and trot off.
