[To Bottom]

The sun beats relentlessly upon the sails of the Sirocco, waves thrumming against the Hourglass. And in this light, even the Darklantern stands out. These doldrums have made your voyage a long and quiet one.

Commodore Abilio, known in some circles as The Fullmaster, has convened a meeting of officers. After a long and hard year, the crew has finally been replenished, menials and all. The ships have come alive with swabbies, carpenters, and sailors. Now you just need to be able to pay them.

It's no secret what he will be deciding today. A destination.

539822

>>539821
How long have I been on the fleet, by now?

539823

>>539821
Yarr. There be plenty o' loot and plunder to be had.

Let's go to the meeting.

539824

>>539821
Fix the buttons of my attire, right my hat, make sure my rifle is polished and my pistol holster is firmly on my chest, then attend.
Emrille, you're looking fabolous again today.

The most likely suggestions are…

-A return to Nagobana in hopes of receiving a letter of marque in order to help settle naval disputes between daimyos in a minor territory war currently going on.

-Up the great rivers to Anneiv in search of valuables to trade on the open seas.

-Triangle Cove, to smooth things over with the other great pirate fleets and perhaps organize a raid.

-Starry Slough, to prey on trade vessel.

Of course, the world is your oyster.

>>539822
Six months.

>>539823
>>539824
As people gather in Abilio's sizeable cabin, he lays out this map.

539826

>>539825
And I would be…

539827

>>539821
Eh…time to check Smitts box maybe?
With Ciddir?
Is it assumed I met the other officers already? I definitely wanted to meet Face as soon as I could

539828

>>539825
Blink.
"Uh, Anniev… fuck, that sounds familiar…"

539829

>>539826
Not sure what you're asking. Six months.

>>539827
It's assumed you've met them, but you're free to chat as much as you like.

Ciddir has taken possession of the chest but you can explore it together.

539830

>>539825
>>539828
Raise a brow.
"You know Anniev, miss Emrille?"

539831

>>539830
"Uh… music and germanes… something. I had this weird, fuzzy dream about it, that's all."

539832

>>539829
I'd like to find him and explore it together.
We probably already discussed that since I met him in 1.5 to talk about it.

539833

>>539829
Where would I be as the rest of the players is at the officers meeting?

539834

>>539831
I nod.
"Very famous for its artists indeed. I am a particularly big fan of it for said reason. But as our destination? I am not certain it would be the wisest option."

539835

>>539832
He is at the meeting, but let's assume you stop by before that.

>>539833
Whereever you like to be. You can explore and meet people on the ships, go chat with Selena… eavesdrop…

539836

>>539821
Go to the meeting in full haste!!

539837

>>539834
"Trading sounds boring anyway. I want the option where we get to shoot people for money."
Glance at Abilio.
"All legit, of course."

539838

>>539835
let's assume I do.
"Hello, Ciddir. How's it going?"

539839

>>539836
>>539830
>>539831
"That looks like everyone. Well, I'm opening the floor to discussion. You know the choices I've laid out. Are there other nominees?"

>>539838
"Slowly. The wind speed in doldrums causes the ships to advance almost not at all because of their weight."

539840

>>539839
"You're the brains, if you think these are fine, I'll accept that."

539841

>>539839
"I quite like the sound of revisiting Nagobana and making use of the current instability there."

539842

>>539835
Is anyone from my ship not at that meeting?

539843

>>539839
I'll never get used to how cute he is.
"How awful. Maybe we could inspect the herb storage to keep ourselves busy while we're going so slow?"

539844

>>539835
>>539842
Menials excluded, of course.

539845

>>539839
I relax.
"Where to Captain? As long as the port has some booty or money for us then I am game."

539846

>>539842
>>539844
Red, Grey Worm, Diamond Luck.

The girls are playing on the deck.

>>539845
>>539841
>>539840
"Nagobana does seem the obvious choice. It is the only one with a clock on it. We don't know how long this war will last."

>>539843
He nods. "That seems reasonable."

He directs you over to the chest in the corner of the room.

"The commodore was known for utilizing inhalation poison. Breathing could be dangerous."

539847

>>539846
I nod.
"And… not too far out of Anneiv's reach. If this war comes to an untimely end… we will have a close second option."

539848

>>539846
I'm sure an old man having a conversation with three little girls won't sound creepy at all.
Time to… Kick back and relax, have a look around the ship.
'1d10'

Roll #1 1 = 1

539849

>>539846
"I take it since they havec this war thing going on, their harbors will be hard to take on. Capturing it will be hard unlike that of our past campaigns."

I relax a bit.
"So do you have any 'civilized' plan up your sleeve comodore?"

539850

>>539846
"Perhaps we would better open it with some protection around our mouths and in the open air, just in case some poison flies up as we open it."

539851

>>539846
"I say we go for it then."

539852

>>539848
Well, only two are girls! Diamond Luck is watching the waves. He's a stallion with sunglasses.

The heat outside is making things uncomfortable looking around, though, so you head below decks.

>>539849
>>539851
>>539847
"That settles it, then. We'll set a course immediately."

Ready to skip to Nagobana when everyone says 'ready'.

>>539850
He nods. "Yes… let me see…"

He heads over to the side of his bed where he has a little potted plant.

He moves his hooves… and seemingly weaves masks out of the leaves… you're not exactly sure how he did it, but they look pretty sturdy!

539853

>>539852
"Wow, that's amazing, ciddir."

539854

>>539852
Wait, who is Diamond Luck?
I have never met him before.

539855

>>539852
"A war sounds nice, as long as we're on the winning side."
Smirk.
"Though the winning side will be the one that has us, right?"

539856

>>539852
I'm ready to go there, I'll finish this inspection first however.

539857

>>539852
I'm ready to go whenever.

"Excellent."

539858

>>539852
"Alright, I'll tell the crew about our plans and we shall set sail to it."
Begin to spread the word to the crew of our destination as we set sail to it.

539859

>>539854
He was the doctor from the Eagle's Roost. He looks pretty chill and has a brick red coat.

>>539853
"It was mostly linear. Shall we?"

He hoofs you a mask.

>>539855
"Doesn't matter, as long as we get some loot."

>>539858
They brace the sails and change direction!

539860

>>539859
Put it on and get to the open air.
"Do you want to open it, or shall I?"

539861

>>539859
I'm ready by the way.
"Amen to that. Let's go make some money, m'right?"

539862

>>539859
Well, I should have a chat with him.
He's watching the sea, no?
Lean against the railing, near him.
"Does it make you nervous, this waiting?"

539863

>>539855
>>539861
"I do hope your marksmareship skills have not dullened during our time recovering, miss Emrille."

539864

>>539859
With that taken care of, lets meet Ms.September and have have a chat to pass the time.

539865

>>539860
He slides the chest open. It's full of trays like a tacklebox, each containing seeds. Out in the chest proper though there are sprigs and leaves of all different kinds of plants. Caps and stems from mushrooms. It's not a perfect ingredient box: nothing like bugs or bones… it's all plant life.

>>539862
"I think that's such an odd way of thinking. If I have to be tense, I'll do it when my life is on the line, not while I'm lounging around thinking about it. I'm just bored. These doldrums are killing our speed."

539866

>>539863
Smirk.
"If the target range of the Hamburgerburgians is any indication, I'm still good at killing."

539867

>>539865
It's a start.
Inspect them, how rare are these ingredients?
Any labels?
'1d10'

Roll #1 4 = 4

539868

>>539865
"That's because you are not a fighter.
When my life is on the line, I know truth. I know peace."
Smile slightly.

539869

>>539866
"Good to hear that. Do stay sharp."

539870

>>539869
"Always. What about you, huh?"

539871

>>539870
"Why, I am as fine and sharp as ever. You are not the only one who has been honing her sharpshooting skills."

539872

>>539867
Some are relatively common. Others, you don't really know what they are. "Ingredients" is a bit of a loose term, though. Is every plant potentially an ingredient in something? Definitely some of this stuff is useful, though.

>>539868
He shrugs. "I'm not sure if I buy that, but you've got a convincing look."

539873

>>539872
Just smile back at him.
"Now, if you will excuse me.
This sun is killing me."
Off belowdecks, to cool off.

539874

>>539871
"Oh, no, you're gonna' make me jealous~"

539875

>>539872
I suppose not every plant is, but it's an easy term to refer to the useable ones.
And who knows, maybe there are uses for these plants that I don't know about yet.
I start noting down the different species I recognize on a sheet.
I point to some of the plants I don't recognize.
"Ciddir, do you have any ideas what these are?"

539876

539877

>>539874
"We shall put our skills to the test soon enough, I am sure. Now, If you would excuse me, I have duties to perform."
Off I go.

Ready for real.

539878

>>539877
Do a mock salute with my wing.

Ready too.

539879

>>539864
>>539877
>>539874
>>539873
Since all of you look ready…

Nagobana is busy, but not so much as last time. The war has thinned out the merchant ships, and it isn't totally safe to sail these waters. Still, with any luck you'll be able to get permission to travel to the interior and receive a letter of marque.

>>539875
"This is bluegrass root… lampweed seeds… quiet moss… sleeping python vine. There are many plants here."

539880

>>539876
Also ready.

539881

>>539879
Anyway…
Inspect the ship, does it need any repair or improvement?
'1d10'

Roll #1 1 = 1

539882

>>539879
I note all of that down.
"This Smitts must have been quite a collector."

539883

>>539879
Does the Darklantern have a Crow's Nest?

539884

>>539879
I'll need Happy Puzzle and Wark with me. Rosemary probably needs to watch after those tiny horses.

539885

>>539879
Let's go meet the captain. I'm sure he wants to see me, given the place we just docked in.

539886

>>539881
You don't notice anything at all in need of repair.

>>539882
"Yes I think he was. According to rumor surrounding his death, he may have been able to manipulate plants."

>>539883
Three, in fact.

>>539884
Indeed! They join up with you.

>>539885
He's at the helm, guiding the ship in.

539887

>>539886
Step by his side.
"Captain."

539888

>>539886
"Home again, miss Puzzle."

539889

>>539886
They are filled, right?
Are we docked yet?

539890

>>539886
"Interesting. Is there anything more you'd like to do with these samples now? Or shall I bring the report to the captain?"

539891

>>539886
Hmmm…. perhaps check on Lacy and see what she is up too.

539892

>>539889
Yep, but with your rank you could kick 'em out if you want!

You're docked now.

>>539888
She seems upbeat.

"I really hope they clear us! You'll love Neighpon."

>>539887
"Mister Tree. Ready to head aground?"

>>539890
"No… but as they're needed, I can culture more of these."

>>539891
She's cleaning the hold right now. Dusting.

539893

>>539892
"On board of the ship?"
I perk my ears?

539894

>>539892
I could, but to what end?
Maybe I'll just chill in the highest one every now and then though…

Let's find Light Heart.

539895

>>539892
"Yes, I do think you are right. I have been thirsty for more since the last time we docked."

539896

>>539893
"Not directly on the boards. I have pots."

>>539894
Seeing those crow's nests reminds you of Ruxiang "the Eye"… what became of that gunslinger? Even though you parted on rough terms and had a strange relationship, there's probably some part of you that respected his abilities. He did give you a warning shot, after all.

Light Heart is now departing with her minions.

>>539895
She giggles. "If you're thirsty, we should try the saki this evening."

539897

>>539896
I'm pretty sure I set him on fire… He wasn't bad, though, gotta admit.

>>539895
Land beside her.
"Room for one more?"

539898

>>539892
"Incredibly so.
Six months at sea can have their toll, on a man.
I was just wondering, will you be needing me for the diplomatic talks?"

539899

>>539896
"Perhaps I will. In moderation."
I smile.

Are we free for now? Can we try to go get checked in?

>>539897
"Hmmm? Of course. Feel free to tag along."

539900

>>539892
Watch her.
"Is cleaning the only thing you do?"

539901

>>539898
"I suspect the Commodore will handle our customs directly. He speaks the language and knows how to be delicate."

>>539899
As far as you know, you're free to do as you wish until Abilio secures paperwork to head inland.

>>539900
"I fix windows… sew… that sort of stuff."

539902

>>539896
"I see. I think it's better I leave this to you then for the time being."

539903

>>539899
"What's the plan?"

539904

>>539902
"Enjoy yourself in the city. I am not very metropolitan."

539905

>>539901
"I have had the chance to see as much for myself, yes. He's well versed in it.
Maybe I should pay him a visit."

539906

>>539901
>>539903
"For now we can only wait for those papers to be secured, I'm afraid."
Hmmm… where is that Strom fellow?

539907

>>539904
"See you around, Ciddir."
Okay, I'll deliver a list of this to the captain, I'll add that we didn't find any traces of traps in it.

539908

>>539905
"Good voyage, then. I'm going to watch the ship. These new menials are still getting into their roles."

>>539906
Over on the Hourglass.

539909

>>539901
"What about cooking?"

539910

>>539907
You drop it off with him at the helm. Tree is here.

"Thank you."

539911

>>539909
"I have dabbled in it."

539912

>>539908
Then I'll go there.

539913

>>539905
"Hello, mister Tree."

>>539910
"I hope you will find it satisfactory, captain."
I salute.

539914

>>539911
"If you and I have free time, care to teach me about the good stuff."

539915

>>539906
"I think I should get one of those Neighpon massages. Y'know, with the sexy mares."
I do have the money for that, right?

539916

>>539908
"If my captain commands, I could do as much. To allow you to leave the ship."

539917

>>539913
Bow my head.
"Lady Selena."

539918

>>539915
I chuckle.
"Please, feel free too."

539919

>>539918
"If you see Tela, send her my way, wouldn't want her thinking I'm fucking them or anything."

539920

>>539916
"Enjoy yourself. You probably miss this place more than I do."

>>539914
"Uh, I'm not sure I know anything special, but if you want me to…"

>>539912
Hourglass it is. Strom is indeed organizing swabbies.

539921

>>539920
"Mister Strom. Good day."

539922

Let's find a massage parlor

539923

>>539920
Bow down and leave.
To the Commodore's cabin.

539924

>>539920
"Yes I want you too." I nod.
"I'll take my leave, just take it easy." I then head and go to the docks and see how if any negotiations are being held for our stay here.

539925

>>539924
That would be in the Customs House. You head on over, but Abilio is nowhere to be seen. He must be in a back room or something.

>>539923
The door is closed and locked.

539926

>>539922
You wander the town and eventually come to The Storybook Ending.

539927

>>539925
Lets see and check if he is there or if there are anyone handling negotiations.

539928

>>539925
Sigh. Very well. I should instead do something else, then.
Let's hit a geisha joint.
If I have the money.

539929

539930

>>539926
What's that?

539931

>>539917
>>539923
"Hello mister Tree. Pleasure to see you again. Ready to depart?"

539932

>>539921
"Good day, Miss Heart. Something the matter?"

>>539927
You awkwardly stick your head in several doors, eliciting angry glares, but you're too clueless for that. Eventually you find the one that Abilio is sitting down in having a foreign-language discussion with a well-dressed Neighponese pony.

>>539928
Just enough. You'd be able to afford a better one after this mission. But hey, what if you're too tense in battle? Best to loosen up you figure.

You head over to Unwritten Memoirs.

>>539930
The name of the massage parlor.

539933

>>539932
"Nothing serious, thankfully. I was simply wondering about the nature of the firearms you use."

539934

>>539932
Oh right.
Walk inside.
How's the place look?

539935

>>539931
"Quite.
But this is not exactly the place I was hoping to reach, after embarking six months ago."
>>539932
Mission? All I know is that we are here to see IF we will get to fight at all, in this war.
But hold on that thought for a second, talking to a lady.

539936

>>539932
Perhaps he can handle it, let him take care of the negotiations and leave the customs house.
Now lets explore a bit what this place has got.
'1d10'

Roll #1 3 = 3

539937

>>539935
"Maybe you still have something to here, you just don't know it yet."

539938

>>539937
"Maybe.
What is it you have to do now, Lady Selena?"

539939

>>539934
It's not as nice as the Roadesian one. It had marble pillars and stuff. This one has nice wood paneling but clearly not the same budget.

>>539933
"Point the end with the hole toward the pony you're shooting, for one."

539940

>>539938
"I'm unsure yet myself. Maybe I'll find out when I disembark. Are you here to talk to Abilio as well? I was hoping to see him before we left."

539941

>>539940
"So was I, but seems like he isn't home."

539942

>>539939
"Yes… that is very acute. I was more interested in their mechanics. I have noticed those are different to my own."

539943

>>539941
"Ah…pity…"

539944

>>539939
Apples and oranges.
This is supposed to be more traditional and shit, right?
Walk up to the counter.

539945

>>539943
"Maybe we could indulge in each other's company in the meanwhile? "

539946

>>539945
"Perhaps. What did you have planned for the day?"

539947

>>539944
The mare at the statue is standing as still as a statue! She has white powder on her face.

>>539942
"Repeaters, for faster firing."

539948

>>539946
A visit to a brothel.
"A visit to a massage house. If battle is brewing I'd rather be at my best."

539949

>>539936
You don't want to head down any backstreets, but the harbor is full of ships and the market overflowing with stalls.

539950

>>539947
"Hey. You're the one in charge here?"

539951

>>539948
"A massage house? I might go for a massage as well. It has been an awful long time."

539952

>>539947
"I… do believe we both hail from the same continent, correct? I was taught how to shoot at a very young age, but I must admit that I have never used one of these… repeaters."

539953

>>539949
Perhaps check the stalls or markets with neighponese weapons, armor, daggers and swords, I heard rumors of Neighponese swords able to cut bullets in mid-air. I mean what kind of non-sense is that.

539954

>>539950
"She gives a solemn nod."

>>539952
"They're an innovation in design. We just got them working last year."

539955

>>539953
There are definitely a lot of katanas here for sale. They don't look quite so tough that they'll split bullets!

539956

>>539954
"How many exist? … Do you sell these?"

539957

>>539951
"Then allow me to bring you along.
After all, one of the few perks this useless blade still grants me is respect, in Neighpon.
A respect I can share with my friends."

539958

>>539955
Perhaps approach a female stall owner.
"Can I inspect your wares?"

539959

>>539957
"Lead the way then, mister Tree."

539960

>>539959
>>539955
Off to a br-
To a massage house.

539961

>>539956
"We've been producing them over the last year… things are slower with the loss of our comrades. Still, we have a spare if you just need one."

>>539958
"Go ahead. Are you here from Novdogod?"

>>539960
>>539959
You head over to The Storybook Ending. It's a modest wooden massage house. Emrille is here. There's a statue-esque mare at the counter.

539962

>>539954
"How much?"

539963

>>539961
Horrible.
Walk up to the counter. Exchange a look with the mare behind it.
>>539962
"Lady Emrille."

539964

>>539961
"I would love to own one, mister Strom."

539965

>>539963
"Hey. Whatcha' doing here?"

539966

>>539962
"Fifteen hundred songs."

>>539963
She gives you a courteous nod.

>>539964
He retrieves one from his equipment.

"Enjoy. I owed you one."

539967

>>539966
"Songs? Like, I should sing or something?"

539968

>>539961
Inspect the katana that she is selling. Any properties or differences from the swords that we are used too?
>carefully rng

"I do came from Novdogod, why ask?"

Roll #1 6 = 6

539969

>>539966
"… You did?"

539970

>>539965
"Enjoying the homely pleasures."
>>539966
Look at the mare, nodding towards Emrille and Selena.
"These two are friends of mine."

539971

>>539965
"Hello Miss Emrille."

539972

>>539969
He tuts at you. "For being Emrille's only other friend so she doesn't constantly hang around me."

>>539967
"Songs – coins."

>>539968
You don't notice anything except that it looks like it was folded a lot of times.

"Just making small talk. That is a long way away."

>>539970
"Did you want a room with them?"

539973

>>539972
>>539967
Look at Emrille.
"Care to join me and Lady Selena?"

539974

>>539972
"Ah I see."
Put it back and admire another one.
"Say did you made these Miss…. ?"

539975

>>539974
"No, I sell them but they are produced on the mainland."

539976

>>539972
I smile.
"Ah. Well, I only do my duty. Thank you again, mister Strom. I will take good care of it."

Onto my back it goes. Neat. Let's see… I know Emrille left the ships, but which other officers have?

539977

>>539976
Abilio is definitely out and about.

Face is probably on the town, too.

539978

>>539970
"Right."

>>539971
"Hey."

>>539973
Smirk.
"If you're paying, sure."

539979

>>539978
"Are you a fan of massages as well?"

539980

>>539978
"Sadly, the fleet hasn't seen fit to pay me yet."

539981

>>539975
I put back the sword.
"I'll take note of that, thanks."

Now lets check the other stalls what are they selling? Anything caught my fancy?

539982

>>539980
"How'd you plan to pay for the massage then?"

>>539979
"Love 'em. Especially from sexy mares."

539983

>>539977
Face is probably seducing mares, that fox.

Which means we're just waiting on Abilio… Guess I might as well stay on board well until we can go inland. That's the real interesting part.
How about Ciddir? Where is he?

539984

>>539982
Just smile.

539985

>>539984
"I'm listening."

539986

>>539985
"Many are."

539987

>>539981
This is mostly tourist stuff. Food and pottery, textiles and baubles.

>>539983
He's not much of a city type, so probably his room.

539988

>>539986
"Suit yourself."

>>539987
Tap the floor with a hoof for the mare.
"I'd like one then."

539989

>>539982
"Who doesnt?"

539990

>>539987
Turn back to the mare.
"A room for two."

539991

>>539987
Well if that is the case lets check Ms. September and what she is up too.

539992

>>539990
Say that in neighponese.

539993

>>539987
Knock knock!
"Mister Ciddir?"

539994

>>539989
"I dunno', but probably somepony crazy."

539995

>>539991
Forever September is overseeing her crew on the Hourglass.

>>539993
"Yes I am."

539996

>>539995
The room?

539997

>>539995
Enter.
"I do hope I am not interrupting anything. I was wondering how you are faring now that you have had time to grow accustomed to your new position."

539998

>>539988
>>539990
>>539996
Rooms it is. You're first led off to a sauna where you sit in the warmth and wait for your rooms to get ready.

>>539997
"Yes you are but it is okay, it was not urgent. Having had a year, I am feeling better."

539999

>>539995
"Ms. September, how is everything here?"

540000

>>539998
Quite frankly I'm not interested in any of this sauna stuff. Can I skip it over?

540001

>>539998
>>539996
"Wow, all because of a sword?"

540002

>>539998
"Very good. You are comfortable with it then?"

540003

>>540001
"We are not exactly getting in for free, I'm afraid, but you needn't worry about it.
And surely, the service to us reserved will be of utmost perfection."

540004

>>539999
"Could be better, I guess. Almost feels like an exile from the Roost. We need more money to put a real fleet together."

>>540000
Your room isn't literally not ready. What I meant is that someone else is enjoying a massage in it right now.

>>540002
"I think I am getting that way, yes."

540005

>>539998
Let's get comfy

540006

>>540004
And they just had no other rooms?
I can wait though, start stripping in preparation for the massage.

540007

>>540003
"….if you say so."

540008

>>540007
"You don't seem confident in this, Lady Selena. Something you are worried about?"

540009

>>540005
>>540006
No technicians, not no rooms. They have broom closets.

Eventually a mare comes down and asks, "Who's next?"

540010

>>540006
"So hey, are these neighpon massages as good as their fame is?"

540011

>>540009
"I'll go."

540012

>>540008
I giggle.
"When somepony tells me not to worry, I start worrying."

540013

>>540004
"Yes money is what we are lacking indeed."
I shrug before looking at her and whispering
"What do you think Abilio has in mind? Does he have special plans for this place? If things dont improve we might be bankrupt in 6months time."

540014

>>540009
Stand up.
"Us."
>>540010
"You are about to try for yourself.
It'd be useless to say anymore."
Smile.
>>540012
Nod in understanding.
"What if I told you to relax and enjoy the massage?"

540015

>>540004
"Have you met miss Springleaf by any chance?"

540016

>>540014
>>540011
"I can only handle one at a time… I can wait for another masseuse."

You wait for a few more minutes until another mare comes out.

They lead off Selena and Flowing.

>>540015
"Yes, we did work together earlier."

>>540013
"Weren't you listening at the meeting? We're getting a letter of marque."

540017

>>540014
>>540012
The mares lead you down to a little room with a tile floor. There's a vent in the floor that's spewing hot air into the room. There are two tables here that they scoot next to each other.

"Please, lay."

540018

>>540017
I lay down, after taking my hat and cloak off.

540019

>>540016
"She is nice, is she not?"

540020

>>540016
Grimace.
"Little fucking bitch."

540021

>>540017
Comply, silently and calmly.
"It has been months since my last visit.
And fr my friend, it's the first time."

540022

>>540016
"Who knows, perhaps the guy has some game pllan." I grin.
"Anyway if thats the case then we will be back to trading goods and stuff." I shrug.

540023

>>540019
"Yes, no."

>>540018
>>540021
"Light, or rough?"

>>540020
Eventually a mare comes for you at last.

"Are you ready?"

>>540022
"We know his plan! Good luck at the market."

540024

>>540023
"Rough and deep."

540025

>>540023
"I'd prefer it light."

540026

>>540023
"Yeah, I am. Finally."

540027

>>540023
I smile.
This deer has some really peculiar speech patterns.
"Her skills will be quite useful, I believe. Do treat her nicely. But I digress, I will let you get back to work."

540028

>>540024
The mare begins slowly and deeply kneading your lower back with her hooves. Slowly, she works up your spine and up under your shoulderblades. She works the balls of muscle under your wings and legs.

>>540025
She begins gently, rolling her hooves up and down your legs one at a time. Once you feel loose, she gently runs her hooves up and down the sides of your lower back.

>>540026
She leads you off into your own room. "Are you ready? Light or rough?"

>>540027
"Yes, I will, No, and I wasn't working. Good day."

540029

So, any particularly wealthy marks around, or is everyone around here dirt-poor?

540030

>>540028
Close my eyes and exhale calmly.

540031

>>540028
Now then. Spook?

540032

>>540023
"Well, I got to say their weapons are kind of weird. I just recommend selling it to the local population and not import it overseas except to those few who are looking for the exotic kinds of arms."

540033

>>540028
I stretch and let the mare do her work.
Look around, do they use any incense or oils?

540034

>>540028
"Light. If I wanted rough, I wouldn't have come here."

540035

>>540029
Nagobana is a great trade city, but the security is off the rails! Better wait for the interior before you pull any major heists. Maybe you should orient yourself by meeting the officer corps.

>>540031
You track him down in the hold with Scarab.

>>540032
"I agree. We'd use them if they were better."

>>540033
They have some on a tray. They're probably going to come into play at some point.

Eventually she DOES work them in, but only a light powder. She puts something else onto Flowing…

The powder feels grainy and pleasant on your skin under your coat.

540036

>>540035
Stinky huh?
"Hello there, Spook. Scarab."

540037

>>540030
She then begins to work some kind of hot dust into your back. It's SEARING at first, but you immediately feel relief and pleasure as she slides her hooves around on your back. It's like a hot shower.

540038

>>540035
Alright, who's the officer corps, and where can I find them?

540039

>>540035
Relax my wings.
"Excuse me, what kind of oil is this?"

540040

>>540037
Growl softly as the feeling washes my back, remaining still as my back relaxes.

540041

>>540035
I shrug.
"Alright, that is all I can say since those are the most notable in the stalls that I visit. Perhaps in the mainland there will be more."

I then head down.
"Now if you will excuse me I'll try and see if I can get some neighponese flank. Wish me luck!"

540042

540043

>>540034
She begins gently, rolling her hooves up and down your legs one at a time. Once you feel loose, she gently runs her hooves up and down the sides of your lower back.

Soon she's rubbing some oil into your back.

>>540038
The ship you're on, the Sirocco, is captained by Captain Marsh, but you just saw the first mate head into the hold. Light Heart.

>>540039
"That's Cane Coral Powder. Very coarse, gets in between hair."

>>540040
Eventually your muscles relax and she pounds into them with resonant force. Your back pops as she lets the pressure out of every joint.

>>540042
Patience!

>>540041
"Right… good luck."

540044

>>540043
"Lovely."

540045

>>540043
Let's see if I can Stealth down after her, get a feel for how she acts when she doesn't think anyone's watching. [1d10]
do I need to roll for stealth out of combat?

Roll #1 9 = 9

540046

>>540044
Next she works your calves, and eventually begins working on your hooves. She pulls out a knife and begins treating them with the blade. This doesn't hurt, of course.

>>540045
Nah.

She's chatting with a pile of much and a shady looking earth pone.

>>540036
"Miss Heart."

"Mmph."

540047

>>540043
"Aaah, that's the stuff."
Let her do her thing.

540048

>>540046
They are hooves, after all.

"Tell me Lady Selena, how has life at sea treated you?"

540049

>>540046
"How are you?"

540050

>>540043
"Well time for …..
Wait dont go down the docks, lets check Ciddir first.

540051

>>540046
A pile of what? Let's get a closer look without revealing myself.

540052

>>540047
She pulls out a basin of cool water and gently pours it out over your back.

>>540048
Next she begins to run her hooves up and down both sides of her neck. You feel your circulation opening up. The blood flow runs pleasantly through your reclining neck.

>>540049
"Well, it beats being stranded on an island. Just as well, I guess."

"Mmph mmmmph mmph mmmmmmph mph mph mmph."

>>540050
Ciddir is in his room on his bed.

"Yes?"

>>540051
It's terrible smelling muck!

540053

>>540052
Look at Spook.
"Our… temporary associates back on Roads… do you know what happened to them?"

540054

>>540052
Purr slightly.
I totally need to hire a massage mare.

540055

>>540052
"So I take it you are taking good care of Smitts plants aye?"

540056

>>540052
Meet eyes with the masseur.

540057

>>540043
"It feels delightful."

>>540048
"It's been busy. But I must say I have been pleasantly surprised. The sea is very beautiful."

540058

>>540052
And considering the conversation, it's… alive? That's… an interesting start to my stay aboard. Keep eavesdropping like a pro, idly checking Light Heart to see how easy it would be to pick her pockets.

540059

>>540057
"The world at large is beautiful.
There's magic in its every act."

540060

>>540053
"I was looking for the princess when I ran into your associate, Skylight. I'm not sure about any of them."

>>540054
She towels you off, but even that is part of the service. She gently and sensually runs it up and around your wings.

>>540055
"Yes, yes."

>>540056
She gives you a questioning look.

>>540057
"Thank you, miss."

She next pulls out a basin of cool water and gently pours it out over your back.

540061

>>540060
Don't answer it, and instead go back to chatting with Selena.

540062

>>540060
"What's your name?"

>>540059
"Hmmm. What kind of magic?"

540063

>>540060
I nod.
"It does seem rather unlikely any of them made it. A shame. We did good work together."

540064

>>540060
"So what have you got? Did you find the plant useful or something?"

540065

>>540062
"Have you ever noticed how different the sea is from a rock, but how similar a pony is to a pony?"

540066

>>540060
"Mhhm, hey, could you work the base a bit?"

540067

>>540060
A princess? Curiouser and curiouser. Check out the shady one; anything noteworthy about him?

540068

>>540058
Things aren't just hanging off. She'd get a save.

>>540061
>>540062
You continue receiving massages.

"I am Blooming Petal. My associate is Quiet Cloud."

>>540063
He blows his breath. "It got too hot. Those idealists probably tried to fight them off."

>>540064
"A chest. There were many plants, of varying usefulness."

>>540066
She gives you a simple nod and begins to slowly run her hooves up and down the base of your wings.

>>540067
He is extraordinarily nondescript. A gray earth pony without any particularly distinguishing marks.

540069

>>540065
I nod.
"Naturally"

>>540068
"You live here in the city? What's it like?"

540070

>>540068
"You are delightful, girls.
And the wait just made this moment all the sweeter."
>>540069
"If I asked you to think of something, of something new you have never heard or seen or thought of, how easy would that be for you?
And yet, nature does it all the time. It impresses us. It marvels us."

540071

>>540068
I nod.
"Yes, I would think so too. You never quite know, of course. Perhaps they managed. In any case, how are you liking the fleet? Will you continue to stay with us?"

540072

>>540069
"No one lives in Nagobana. Or, perhaps innkeepers… but everyone else comes from the mainland to work, or they are here to trade, or here to travel to or from Neighpon. It is for this reason a city always in motion."

>>540071
"Probably, though, I've got to tell you," He whispers, "I've got an odd vibe like we're being watched."

Scarab gives a complacent "Mmmmph."

You're quite near to decoding this mmphs, you think.

540073

>>540068
"Well I am glad that we will be able to use it somehow."
I then look at him.
"Can you make these plant plentiful given time?"

540074

>>540073
"Possibly. Some are easier than others."

540075

>>540068
Relax with a pleasured smile.

540076

>>540070
"I don't know, I'm not sure nature creates new things so we can marvel at them."

>>540072
"What is the mainland like?"

540077

>>540076
"Ah but here's the fun.
You don't have to worry what nature's creation is there for.
It just is, you can make of it what you want."

540078

>>540072
I cock my head slightly and play innocent.
"Is that so? Well, I cannot blame you. It is good to have you with us, at least. Now that the fleet is back to strength, we may even start to make profits."

540079

>>540074
I smile.
"I am very glad to hear that, I mean these are the only things that I am able to find that Smitts own. I just dont want it to go to waste or be forgotten, he is a good commodore."

540080

>>540075
You relax and soon, you find yourself in nearly a trancelike state. You come to refreshed and ready to face the mainland!

>>540076
"More… genuine. This place is like Little Equestria."

>>540078
"Maybe… just keep an eye open."

>>540079
"Yes, they're still trying to find his lance."

540081

>>540080
Chuckle at that comment.

540082

>>540072
Hmn, new arrivals as well? Guess I might as well take advantage of an opportunity to introduce myself!
>>540071
>>540078
"Well, I haven't seen enough to know if I'll stick around, but I guarantee you'll have fuller pockets from my services!" Pop out and lean against a support beam or something, grinning cheekily. "Which is sort of ironic because I'm usually better at emptying pockets than filling them."

540083

>>540080
It's over?
Stretch with a smile on my face.
"Mmmh~"

540084

>>540077
"You're quite the philosopher, mister Tree."

>>540080
I chuckle.
"I noticed. But I got the impression that if you look good enough, you find some more genuine shops."

540085

>>540080
"I will. I look forward to working together with you, mister Spook."
Nod at Scarab.
"Mister Scarab. I believe it is time to-"

>>540082
I perk my ears and turn around to look at the newcomer.
"… Excuse me? I do not believe we have met."

540086

>>540082
"Ah, that explains it."

>>540083
I am running out of ways to describe a massage other than "she massages this part". It went for a long time.

>>540084
"Even those have a sort of… reculturalization. It's different on the mainland."

540087

>>540080
"Well if the lance is ever found that is. I am just proud that it was able to slay a dragon."

540088

>>540085
"Mmmph?"

540089

>>540087
"Yes. It should."

540090

>>540084
"You should meet my brother.
He's the one that writes poems about the universe, life and death."
>>540086
"And there are very few large cities."

540091

>>540088
"Hmmm?"

540092

>>540086
"If I ever went to the mainland, is there any advice you could give me? On how to act properly, I mean?"

540093

>>540090
"Neighponese seem like a more poetic people, in that regard. An interesting cultural difference."

540094

>>540089
I smile at him.
"Say if you got time I would really like to see how you 'create' things. You did say you are able to craft living items."

540095

>>540091
"Mmmph mmph mph."

>>540092
"Don't try, because you won't!"

>>540094
"Yes, it is as much smithing as what you do."

540096

>>540086
I'm okay with it being over.
Stand up and get dressed.
"Thanks… hey, you speak the language, right?"

540097

>>540096
"Only little Equestrian."

540098

>>540095
"I'm afraid I do not follow."

540099

>>540085
"Nope! Never met, never fought, never f- well, that one time I had had a bit too much to drink- never mind! Wanderer the Wanderer, wandering the wild seas with this wandering group of wanderers! May I shake your hoof? Pleasure to meet you!" Shake her hoof vigorously and Sleight of Hand: what's she got in her pockets? '1d10+2'

Roll #1 1 + 2 = 3

540100

>>540097
"Ever think about working on a ship?"

540101

>>540093
"To me, your people are fashinating and poetic, instead.
In even the little things."
>>540095
>>540092
Sigh.
"What she meant, I'm sure, is the inability to reach the mainland.
Obtaining the proper papers is a nightmare."

540102

>>540095
"Well I will be looking forward to it."
I then stand up.
"Thanks again for looking out for Smitts plants. I am indebted to you Ciddir."

……. I then look at him in the eye with ferocious intensity that the room we stand in darkens and that the skies abruptly was covered in dark clouds as it began to send out bolts of lightning.
"You 're not letting anyone touch it."
"Are you?"

540103

>>540098
"He wants to know what you wanted."

>>540100
"I go every day on ship."

>>540099
>>540098
You fuck it up by accident and jerk your hoof around in her pockets, making it REALLY obvious you're digging around. You even withdraw her coinpurse in plain sight. No mistaking what you're up to.

540104

>>540095
"A mare can dream, can't she? I'd like to imagine how things are there…"

>>540101
"Poetic? I haven't heard that before."
I chuckle.

540105

>>540103
"You do?"

540106

>>540102
"I don't know how to, no."

>>540104
"Be proud of your own heritage! Being different is a good thing, do not worry about fitting in."

540107

>>540105
"No one lives in Nagobana."

540108

>>540104
"The very nature of our differences makes this poetic.
A neighponese mare, for istance, would never be as inquisive as you are."

540109

>>540107
"Where do they then?"

540110

>>540109
"Mainland or other place."

540111

>>540108
I chuckle.
"I suppose I am a little curious."

>>540106
"Really?"

540112

>>540111
She laughs a little, "Well maybe not to everyone."

540113

>>540106
Put a paw on his shoulder.
"Well I am glad to hear that, I just really want it to be in safe hoof, your hoof specially. Thank you."

I then leave his room, now that business is taken care off. Lets go and see if Abilio is still busy with his thing.

540114

>>540103
"Oh indeed. … I am afraid that has slipped my mind now due to the sudden appearance of this gentlebuck."

>>540099
>>540103
"Now this is quite rude."
Clear my throat and gracefully retrieve my purse.
"I am afraid I must ask you never to attempt that again."

540115

>>540103
>>540098
SHIT Damage Control pretend I was doing it on purpose!
"Hmn, rather modest of means, aren't you?" Put everything back.
"Forgive me entertaining my curiosity, ma'am, but it's my job to rifle through peoples pockets. By the way, what's with the sludge? Did somebody tick off a wizard or something?"

540116

>>540111
"It suits you just perfectly."
Smile slightly at that.
>>540112
Massage over yet?

540117

>>540112
"Maybe we're not so different then, after all."

>>540116
"I'm sure a lot of ponies would disagree on that."

540118

>>540110
"Anyway, I meant on a ship all the time."

540119

>>540113
"Okay. I also. I will keep them in the chest instead, though. You are welcome."

Looks like he's back and based on his expression, he was successful.

540120

>>540115
"I believe I maintain the right to ask the questions here, mister…?."

540121

>>540117
"I'm sure a lot of ponies would disagree with a great deal of things.
Make best of those who like you."

540122

>>540116
>>540117
Yep, they finish up your massages and push your tables together, then leave you alone.

>>540118
"No thank you."

540123

>>540114
"Yes… 'gentle'…"

540124

>>540119
"So how did these slant eyed ponies treat you? Not too rough I suppose." I grin at him.

540125

>>540122
This is all very strict.

>>540121
"I should get some of that oil."

540126

>>540125
"It would go perfectly with your coat.
In the meantime, allow me."

Step down and pick up the oil bottle, gently applying just a tiny bit of it to Selena.

>>540124
"It took convincing, but we'll be able to head to the western city of Awa."

540128

>>540127
"Awa? So what do we do in Awa boss."

540129

>>540126
I frown.
"Hey, what are you doing?"

540130

>>540122
"You didn't even hear me out!"

540131

>>540120
Didn't I say? I'm Wanderer, master thief and new recruit to this fleet. So, what do you want to know? Weirdest thing I've ever seen? Favorite heist? Secret fetishes? Darkest fears? What shampoo I use? Ask away, ask away, I am an open book! Though there's doodling on a couple of the pages, and I think the author was schizophrenic because some of it's written in germainac, but open all the same!"

540132

>>540128
"There we will be able to obtain a Letter of Marque assuming all goes as planned. After that we can pillage the coast as we please. The only difficult part will be the trip to the interior. I'll still need to pick out a team… Light Heart and Flowing Tree are of course good choices… perhaps I should send you and Emrille along in case something happens."

540133

>>540130
"Not good Equestrian."

540134

>>540129
Raise a brow, but remain calm.
"I must not be quite as good as the masseurs, am I?"
Take a step to the side, and the back on the bed.
"I thought it'd please you."

540135

>>540134
I put my coat back on.
"Uh…thanks, but really the massage was enough."

540136

>>540131
Wanderer is his name? No doubt a fake one.
"Master thief you say… where were you recruited? Certainly not in this port."

540137

>>540133
"We would hire you to talk."

540138

>>540132
"Hmmm… perhaps it will be better if all of us talked it out, now come to think of it where are those guys." I scratch my head.

"Anyway count me in."

540139

>>540136
>>540132
Where was I recruited?

540140

>>540135
Nod, but elect to rest for a minute longer.
"Of course, Lady Selena."

540141

>>540140
Put on my hat.
Awkward.

540142

>>540139
Southridge Port, Equestria

>>540138
"Yes… take anyone you feel is necessary."

>>540137
"Have good trip."

She bows and departs.

540143

>>540142
"Thank you sir." I bow as I take my leave.

Now lets take my leave and find the taverns or brothels of this place!

540145

>>540142
>>540136
"Southbridge, if I remember correctly, though I've been all over on and off all my life. At least I think I have. When you're running from the guards, you don't have time to admire the scenery until you look around and realize you're in a different town than the one you started out in. Anything else you wanted to know?"

540146

>>540145
"Southbridge… I see. Which ship are you stationed on? Because attempting to rob a first officer… I would advise against attempting that against others."

540147

>>540146
"I wasn't stealing, just looking! Still, I'll keep that in mind for future reference. So! You're a first officer, eh? Mind telling some more about the crew I've just signed up with?"

540148

Soon after we take our leave from Nagobada for the first time, I will try and locate Light Heart.
Probably by knocking at her cabin's door.

540149

>>540145
>>540146
Perhaps meet these guys along the way.
And wave at LH while looking at the one to whom she is speaking too a bit differently as I greet them.
"Talk about a place that have another pony race different from all else. Dont tell me that being slant-eyed qualifies as a different pony race all together."

540150

>>540147
"You will need to specify, we have quite a large amount of crew, you see. I serve on the Sirocco, the fastest of our ships. And perhaps the fastest of all the ships in the world."

>>540149
I actually raise my voice and turn around as I hear him say that.
"Mister Chip! I will not have anypony insult my associates in such a manner!"
Happy Puzzle is with me.

>>540148
I'm probably reading.
"Enter."

540151

>>540150
Open the door and stand on the threshold, waiting for further words.

540152

>>540151
Look up.
"Mister Tree, good to see you. I trust you are settling in quite well?"

540153

>>540150
"Not asking about individuals, just the overall disposition of the crew. Sounds like you're pretty proud of your ship."
>>540149
"Well hey there buddy! Where'd you come from?"
>>540151
"Hello to you too! Wow, I ask about the crew and the crew comes to me, ain't that a fortuitous bit of happenstance!"

540154

>>540152
"Quite.
There are a few things, however, I would like you, as one of my commanding officers, to know before this travel takes me any further."

540155

>>540150
I give a grin
"I am just merely curious. Besides I have no idea how many pony races are there."

540156

>>540153
I'm not talking to LH in your time, but six months before.

540157

>>540153
I look at him.
"I came from prison buddy, how about you?"

540158

>>540157
"That's funny, 'cause ponies keep telling me that's were I'm going! I never seem to actually get there though. Anyway, I'm from all over, hence the name Wanderer. Mind if I ask yours?"

540159

>>540153
"The Sirocco is not mine, I'm afraid. She is currently under the command of captain Mellow Marsh. As for our crew… they are mostly fresh recruits as you are. Not to worry however, your spirits will be put to the test soon enough."

>>540154
Raise an eyebrow.
"Please, step inside then. And do close the door behind you."

>>540155
"Many of them, mister Chip. But I would appreciate it if you were to show some more respect for them."

540160

>>540159
Nod and oblidge.
Is there anyone else in the room, or anywhere to sit?

540161

>>540160
I'm sure there must be a chair.

540162

>>540158
I just look oddly at him and with a bit of doubt marring my face.
"Are you a new recruit? I havent seen you here in the ships recently. That or I am just blind."

>>540159
I nod.
"Apologies Miss LightHeart, I will keep watch of my tongue when I speak next time."
I then look at the wanderer then back to her.
"So this is a new recruit I take it, where'd you find him?"

540163

>>540161
Oh well, step by one and wait for your invitation to sit down. If it doesn't come, I will start anyway.
"I haven't been honest with you, while on land."

540164

>>540162
"If I had been, you wouldn't have seen me then either, but yes, I'm new. Wanderer, master thief, at your service and willing to service should needs require. If you need locks picked or goods stolen, I'm your buck. Now please, who am I speaking to?"

540165

>>540162
"I did not recruit him, to be entirely honest. He claims to have been recruited in Southbridge."

>>540163
I will motion for you to sit.
Smile at that comment.
"Ponies rarely are."

540166

>>540165
Sit down.
"I'm thankful for your understanding.
It wasn't your fault, Lady Heart. We were being closely followed, and I don't like talking about personal matters when everypony in a ten miles radius will be eavesdropping on them."

540167

>>540165
"Oh I see…. Hmmmm…. we will see. Having someone experienced as a locksmith might be good as long as he does'nt drink all the beer."

>>540164
"A master thief, that might come in handy indeed."
I extand a paw.
"My name is Chip, one of the ship-repairers and also extra-muscle if need be."

540168

>>540165
>>540164
>>540167
I guess I run into this bunch after leaving the massage parlor, looking refreshed.
I smirk as I flutter closer.
"Would you look at that, the wind has blown the trash together, didn't it?"

540169

>>540168
"Hahaha… And looks like the shit topping has arrived to take her place above us." I smile at her presence.

"So hows your day Emrille."

540170

>>540166
I nod.
"Wherever we land, we are usually being watched by some form of organization."

>>540167
"Given I do not drink alcohol, that is the least of my concerns. He has… sticky hooves, it appears."

>>540168
"Miss Emrille, I do believe you were instructed to cease insulting your superior officers."

540171

>>540170
"Which tells tales of your past battles, I'm sure.
First of all, I have not been to neighpon in almost twenty years.
This was only a brief return for me."

540172

>>540169
Smirk.
"You're lucky I'm feeling fine and dandy."
Do a little hoop in the air before landing.
"Got a perfect massage from a sexy neighpon mare just now."

>>540170
Roll my eyes.
"What happened to the old Light Heart who could take a joke and not just dicks."
Mutter the last part.

540173

>>540167
Shake his paw and smile widely. "Glad to meet you Chip, now I know whose name to curse if we sink at sea. Though that doesn't seem very likely considering how diligent the crew is. I know! I'll praise your name if we don't sink at sea! Well, not praise, because religion can get a bit creepy, so maybe I'll just stick to thanking you for a job well done."
>>540172
Do I hear that last part? '1d10'

Roll #1 3 = 3

540174

>>540173
no, no I do not.

540175

>>540171
"I see. Twenty years is quite some time."

>>540172
Even if I heard that last part, I wouldn't bat an eye.
"Do you truly think I am offended? We have gone over this before, while I may not take offense so quickly, others may. I am merely advising you."

540176

>>540173
Raise a brow.
"So who are you, huh?"

540177

>>540175
"And I'm not a samurai either.
I assume you know what a samurai is, right?"

540178

>>540175
"Chill, I've been taking Face's courses faithfully. I can be a polite pretty lady if I want to. I'm just afraid it will fucking bore me to death if I do it."

540179

>>540177
"I am indeed. The warrior caste of Neighpon. Military nobility."

>>540178
"Good to hear."

540180

>>540172
"Damn, that reminds me, I need to check these neighponies." I bite my lips.
"I take it you didnt see some female doges around here, slant eyed preferrably."

>>540173
I just look at him as he shakes my hand.
"That is good to hear, now we will see what the fullmaster thinks about you master thief."

>>540170
"Yeah talk about sticky." I just look at the wanderer full of doubt.

540181

>>540179
Nod.
"I, however, am a ronin."

540182

>>540176
"Wanderer, master thief and apparently the center of attention before you showed up. Not that I mind you stealing the spotlight, of course. I work best in the shadows."
>>540178
"Well, you've certainly got the 'pretty' part mastered, if you ask me."
>>540180
"Fullmaster? Is that the ship's cook or accountant?"

540183

>>540180
"I might have seen some mongrel pups running ar-oh, you mean like you. Aw, shit, sorry buddy."
Smirk.

>>540182
Tip my hat.
"Emrille, officer of the fleet and master markspony, the best on the ships, if you ask me, or anypony, really."
Snicker.
"Was that a shitty attempt to hit on me?"

540184

>>540181
Look at him thoughtfully.
"I believe I have heard of those before. They are… similar to our hedge knights, correct? Warriors without masters?"

>>540182
"The Fullmaster is our commodore mister Abilio. It is an old title of his."

540185

>>540182
I just glare at him.

>>540183
I give her and angry glare before calming myself.
"I take it you didnt saw any good looking bitch around town. What did I expect."

540186

>>540184
"It's…
Similar, if you will.
The main difference being, samurais were never meant to be fot soldiers.
More like, generals.
When their clan falls, they become ronin."
Take a pause.

540187

>>540183
"Well, it got you to laugh, so at least it's a start. Though if you're an officer, I guess I'll have to stop or somepony will complain about franternization or something. What a shame."
>>540184
"Ah, so the head honcho. Right, I'll remember not to let my curiosity get the better of me."

540188

>>540185
"Y'know what? I'll actually tell you if I do find one. Deal?"

>>540187
"Sorry that I had to shot down your hopes, but I've got a marefriend."

540189

>>540186
"Then your must have clan fallen all those years ago, prompting you to leave Neighpon. I see now. What caused you to return? Looking for something perhaps?"

>>540187
"The 'head honcho' indeed. He captains the Darklantern, our largest ship."

540190

>>540189
"A clan falling doesn't mean its complete destruction.
I have quite the list of relatives still alive in Neighpon."

540191

>>540188
I lighten up.
"Deal."
Whisper.
"Not 'that kind' of joke in front of others." I look at her irritated.

540192

>>540190
"Someone then. Given that you are alone… did you succeed?"

540193

>>540191
Shrug.
"The bottom line was that you'd fuck a dog. A dog-dog I mean."

540194

Trot trot trot on the deck of the Darklantern.

540195

>>540188
"With looks like that, I should have known you'd already be taken. Ah well, I suppose I'll look elsewhere. On an unrelated note, how many of the crew are single?"
>>540189
"Well, I doubt he needs to meet me personally anytime soon. At least, I hope not; I can be an absolute nightmare to find while I'm taking my afternoon nap."

540196

>>540192
Nod.
"It was just a small family matter, nothing important.
I have an older brother I quite like. Went to talk with him again after all this time."
Smile a bit.
"Do you have any family, Lady Heart?"

540197

>>540193
"Alright then, its a deal"

I will take my leave then before stumbling to this newcomer.
>>540194
"……. I havent seen your face before, and your eyes are not slanted so that means you're not one of those local ponies that roams about."

540198

>>540195
Smirk
"I know right? As for that question, how the fuck am I supposed to know?"

540199

>>540197
I stop.
"Oh..we haven't met before. I'm Selena, I was recruited some time ago, and you are?"

I thought actually about doing this in the past so you could continue your chat

540200

>>540195
"We know these ships well, I am sure we would manage."

>>540196
"As it so happens, I have. I understand the need to return to one's family after being parted from them for a long time. I value family quite highly."

540201

>>540198
"Well, I assume they were all chasing after you before you decided which one you wanted. Maybe even after; some ponies just can't seem to take "no" for an answer. Take town guards, for instance: no matter how many times you ignore them, they keep shouting for you to "stop right there!" like they don't want to chase you all over or something. Anyway, I think I'm getting off topic… what were we talking about again?"

540202

>>540199
I look at her a bit bewildered.
"Recruited some time ago? When?"

I then offer my paw.
"As for who I am, I am Chip. Second hand of one of the ship and a master repair-smith of some sort."

540203

>>540200
Nod.
"So do I.
And this is why I live by the words he first told me.
Teishi suru koto wa shinu kotodesu.
Which roughly translates to the idea that, to stop is to die.
It's the reason I travel the world."

540204

>>540201
"I think after the rumor of me shooting a stallion for groping me spread around, they've sort of calmed a little."
Snort amusedly.
"So, petty thief, huh? Lifting bags of gold off of other ponies?"

540205

>>540202
"At the stop in Dawnwood. And a pleasure to meet you, mister Chip."

540206

>>540203
"I see. That is an admirable code to live by."

540207

>>540206
"It keeps me entertained, if nothing else.
Now as I understand, yours was a once mighty fleet. Is that so?"

540208

>>540207
"It was indeed. And it shall be again in the future."

540209

>>540205
I frown while staring at her.
"Dawnwood…. First that Wanderer pony and now I miss a pony like you being aboard the ship all this time, I knew I was blind."

"Say, where are you headed?"

540210

>>540200
"Great! Then I suppose nopony will miss me while I go exploring the ship later."
>>540204
"Only when I get hungry and remember I left my coin purse at home. Usually I go after the pointless stuff, just to prove I can. Besides, sometimes I leave presents for them! Would a petty thief leave somepony a present? I don't think so!"

540211

>>540208
"Your future, from what I've heard, may not lie in the same path of the past."

540212

>>540211
"That has not been decided yet. However, I for one would certainly not be opposed to such a change. It would open up a… rather wide range of fresh opportunities."

540213

>>540210
"Listen, I don't want to sound like a bitch, but let me get one thing out of the way - you ever touch my gold, my clothing, or most importantly, you consider as much as touching one of my guns… you'll never see the bullet coming."
Go back to smirking and the light tone.
"Pretty simple, isn't it? But do tell me about shit you've picked up."

540214

>>540212
Nod.
"Initially, I just wanted a ride back to Equestria. But I would not be opposed to joining this fleet, if such a path was taken."

540215

>>540209
"I was just going to disembark to see the city."

540216

>>540214
"That is comforting to know. We need all the abled bodies we can get."

540217

>>540213
"Geez, everypony's so touchy about me going through their stuff! It's not like I'm actually going to take anything; I mean, how would I be able to hide it?" Breathe an exasperated sigh. "But you've been nothing but pleasant, so I'll agree to keep my curiosity in check and not go through your stuff." And back to the cheery mood.
"So! What have I stolen that's worth mentioning? Well, there was that one time I stole a Watch Captain's pornography stash. That was an interesting night."

540218

>>540216
"Speaking of which.
I have more than some experience as drill instructor.
I've heard from the captain we are planning on recruiting personnel.
You see where I'm going with this."

540219

>>540215
I think for a moment.
"Hmmm…. if you dont mind I could accompany you there, but first I need to grab my cloak. I think I left it in Light Hearts cabin."

540220

>>540217
Snort.
"Was it full of weird shit at least?"

540221

>>540219
"Ah, of course, mr chip."

540222

>>540218
"If you wish to aid in training our sailors, I will be very glad to have you."

540223

>>540222
Nod.
"The sea offers opportunities, I intend to sieze them."

540224

>>540221
"Follow me then."
I then lead the way.

>>540222
With that both of us arrive at Light Hearts cabin.

540225

>>540222
>>540220
"Hello."

>>540217
I look at you.
"More new face?"

540226

>>540225
Wave.
"Hey there cupcake."

540227

>>540223
"Good. Now, is there anything else you wished to tell me?"

>>540224
When? Because if this is present time, I'm not there.

540228

>>540225
>>540224
Oh, we're in the hold of the Hourglass.
"Miss Springleaf. So very good to see you."

540229

>>540220
"Oh, like you wouldn't believe! Turns out the mare had a thing for getting gangbanged- though considering the mare, that wasn't so surprising. The tentacle stuff and forced impregnation, though? Completely out of left field. Thinking back on it, I'm not surprised she took it so badly."
>>540225
"Yup, and you're just in time to hear about the time I raided a watch captain's porno mags."

540230

>>540229
"How…..exciting."

540231

>>540227
Shake my head slowly.
"I was actually hoping to beathe in the company of such a beautiful mare for just a few moments longer."

540232

>>540229
Let out a laugh.
"Bloody hell, is that fucked up or what? Did she beat you up for it?"

540233

>>540228
I frown at her.
"I knew I am growing blind, I didnt know we have a new recruit."
Whisper.
"A new recruit that is this good looking, how did I miss it?"

>>540230
I then look at her as I grab my cloak.
"Say what are you good at?"

540234

>>540233
"I am an alchemist, mr chip. At your service at the Sirocco."

540235

>>540231
I smile.
"Well, my cabin is open to you, so you are welcome to do so."
Close my book and put it away.
"I have heard the Neighponese are skill hexbreakers. Like you are. That is why you were invited onto the fleet."

>>540229
What a lovely conversation.

>>540233
"Miss Springleaf is a talent alchemist, mister Chip. You should be humbled to be in her presence, given how skilled her mother was."

540236

>>540232
>>540230
"She probably would have if she'd caught me, and boy did she try to catch me! I've never seen so many guards out in the streets before or since, and they were all pissed whenever they saw me. I think some of them might have been getting in on her little kink and didn't want the secret to get out." Stop and think for a moment. "Or maybe they were mad because I blew up the prison walls so my buddy could get out; I forget. Anyway, I ended up running in this giant circle all the way around town with practically the entire watch on my tail."

540237

>>540235
Nod.
"I have had the chance to accomplish the most pressing of my duties already.
Captain Marsh pointed me to a certain statue of silver."

540238

>>540236
"You have some bollocks on you, don't you?"

540239

>>540237
I nod.
"The very object which prompted our trip to Neighpon. Dixie has talented spellbreakers as well, but we opted not to go there and ask them as they are rather… zealous."

540240

>>540234
I look at her.
"An alchemist, so you brew potions and stuff. That is good to hear. A new member of this band of ruffians who is capable of curing sea-sickness is always a welcome sight indeed."

>>540235
"Well I am 'humbled' by her presence alone."

540241

>>540235
"Too much honor, miss Heart. I just do my best."

>>540240
"A bit of ginger might help, but I don't know much about dogs…can you digest plants?"

540242

>>540238
"I think so, let me check real quick." duck my head down and examine my crotch. "Yup, still there. Only got the one pair, though, so I'm afraid you'll have to look elsewhere if you want some of your own. Of course, you could always rent a few pairs, but they don't always fit quite right, so be sure to shop around before making a decision."

540243

>>540239
"Dixie is… In the new world, is it?
Never been there myself."

540244

>>540242
"I might want to take your's, but only if they are bulletproof. Want to check if they are real quick?"

540245

>>540241
I look sideways.
"I am not really in good terms with vegetables but I do eat it, as a last resort. There was one time I was forced to eat hay while in the sea's though that do have an adverse effect. Imagine how the other crews reacted with me in bed for almost a week after that ordeal"

540246

>>540245
I think.
"Perhaps I could make an extract. You could just drink it."

540247

>>540244
"Hey, I agreed not to touch your property, don't go messing with mine. Ooh, that reminds me, I think I held on to a couple of those mags for the memories. Want a look?"

540248

>>540241
"And it seems we have become privateers for the time being after all, miss Springleaf. I imagine that must be pleasing to you."

>>540243
"A shame, it is a lovely place."

540249

>>540247
Shake my head.
"I'm not into that sort of shit… unless you have some with just mares."

540250

>>540248
"Speaking from experience, I assume?"

540251

>>540246
"Well that is a welcome relief, thanks for that."

……
"Say have you meet Ciddir? He's some sort of nature guy that specializes in some kind of shamanistic magic of sort and has a good eye with plants. Perhaps I can introduce you to him."

540252

>>540249
"Ah, so you're the selective type. I can understand that. I'm assuming mares with strapons wouldn't count?"

540253

>>540248
"I would have done my job either way….but I won't deny it feels a bit better."

>>540251
"I met him before, we have investigated a collection of herbs together."

>>540247
"So….who are you?"

540254

>>540252
"Why would you want to combine the worst with the best, huh?"

540255

>>540253
"Ah so you to have met already, that is great. So what did you two….."

"….. investigated what kind of herbs?" I raise an eyebrow.

540256

>>540255
"It was a box from a certain mister Smitts."

540257

>>540250
"Yes indeed. The fleet has anchored there a few times now."

>>540253
"Oh I am sure. This fleet may one day sail under Equestrian colors yet."

I smirk to myself and mutter quietly under my breath.
"Landgrave would be turning in his grave."

540258

>>540257
Can I hear that? '1d10'

Roll #1 5 = 5

540259

>>540257
Undecided. I want to use it for asking about landgrave, but your call.

540260

>>540253
"Wanderer, master thief extraordinaire and apparently the center of attention on this ship right now."
>>540254
"Hey, I might take offense to that! Besides, don't knock it if you haven't tried it. That guard captain certainly didn't; two of the five guards with her were mares wearing extra tackle."

540261

>>540259
You can, it wasn't a whisper.

540262

>>540260
What race are you?
"Wanderer?"

540263

>>540261
I perk my ears.
"Landgrave, miss Heart? Might I ask who that is?"

540264

>>540257
"Is… Lady Emrille from there?
She acts like a new worlder.
Like whiskey, too."

540265

>>540260
"Listen, what I want with a mare is her cunt, not some cheap, fake cock."

540266

>>540256
I look at her a bit irritated as I approach her.
"Who gave you permission to browse through Smitts items Ms. Springfield? Did you handle it carefully? Have you taken anything inside the box?"

540267

>>540265
I wince a bit.
This mare sure is blunt.

>>540266
I look up.
"If you have to know, I was under direct orders from Captain Marsh to examine its contents together with Ciddir. Yes, it was handled with the utmost care. No, we didn't take anything out of it. I simply made a list of the contents."

540268

>>540262
Goat male.
"Because I love to travel and explore wherever I please."
>>540265
"Fair enough."

540269

>>540267
Sure am!

>>540268
"Anyway, back to business. Can you fight?"

540270

>>540263
"The old first mate of this very ship, the Darklantern. A mutineer and a traitor… and a noble with many friends."

>>540264
"Hm. I am not sure where she is from, but she is certainly Equestrian."
I chuckle.
"Do not judge a book by its cover, you might be surprised to find what is inside."

540271

>>540270
"…She is more assertive than most mares I've ever met."

540272

>>540270
"I see. That sounds like quite a story."

540273

>>540267
I frown as I look down before sitting down and scratch my head.
"I see."
"Its been awhile though but the man who owns that box, commodore Smitts, is a good friend of mine. I apologize if I reacted in such a dreaful fashion but I had too keep it safe."

I then look up.
"That box means a lot to me, its the only thing left of him."

540274

>>540268
"I see. You remind me of an old friend somehow."

>>540273
"I see. I'm sorry I was not aware mister Chip. You can be assured, the box wasn't damaged in any way, and should I have need of it more, I'll be sure to inform you first."

540275

>>540271
"Oh certainly."

>>540272
"It is."
Lean in close and lower my voice.
"With many dark secrets."
Then pull back with a bright smile.
"But those are for another time."

540276

>>540275
I nod. "Can't wait" I say a little less emotional than earlier.

540277

>>540269
Shrug. "If your asking me to get in a sword duel, I'm afraid I can't be of much assistance. If you don't mind some tricks, however, I'm rather proficient at leaving ponies presents."
>>540274
"Well, I've certainly never met you before, or I'd have remembered it! Pleasure to meet you, miss…?"

540278

>>540274
"Thats fine, just take good care of it and I wont mind what experiments you and Ciddir have in mind with it."
"Come to think of it, I did ask Ciddir if he is capable of regrowing the plants and he told me he will try, perhaps if he is able to make the plants multiply in number then you may be able to experiment on it extensively. What do you think?"

540279

>>540277
"Selena. Selena Springleaf. Alchemist aboard the Sirocco."

540280

>>540275
Quite the conversationalist.
Or the interrogator.
"I'm sure there are more important things in your day than listening to crew.
I will let you work. Thanks for your time, Lady Heart."
Stand up and bow my head deeply.

540281

>>540278
"That would be wonderful. Be sure to come by one of these days and I'll have your ginger extracts ready."
I smile.

540282

>>540277
"You won't be any good if you can't stand your ground in a fight someway. I'm shit at swords too, but my gunplay?"
Smirk.
"The best. If we get in trouble, there'll be nopony to watch out for you."

540283

>>540276
"Not interested in Equestrian nobility?"

>>540280
"Oh no, thank you for your time, mister Tree. Your aid is appreciated."

540284

>>540283
"Yes, but you make it sound…eerie."

540285

>>540283
Nod in acknowledgement and leave, closing the door behind me.

540286

>>540282
"Well, I tend to let them chase me until they get tired, then whack them in the head with this," show my blackjack, "But usually they can't find me, allowing me to spread around the best kind of gifts:" Grin and spread my cloak wide, revealing the multitude of grenades and various explosives inside. "The kind that go boom!"
Pause, then frown as I examine the inside of my cloak. "Uh oh."

540287

>>540281
I then kneel and grin.
"I will be glad to drink your warm Ginger brew Ms. Springfield."

……..
"… it can clear up one's vision right or am I wrong?|"

540288

>>540286
I take 10 paces back.
"ARE YOU MAD!"

540289

>>540286
"Explosives?"
Grin.
"Sweet."
Raise a brow.
"What oh?"

540290

>>540287
"It will help with your sea sickness. It could help vision, but I'm sure you have good eyes already."

540291

>>540289
"I seem to have misplaced one of my bombs." Grin and lean in close to Selena.
>>540288
"…Do you have it?" Sleight of Hand a bomb into her bags. '1d10+2'

Roll #1 3 + 2 = 5

540292

>>540291
I slap your hoof from going in my bag.

540293

>>540288
>>540292
>>540291
"What's wrong with setting shit on fire?"

540294

>>540292
"What? That bomb could be dangerous! Give it back before you accidentally trigger it!"

540295

>>540290
"Oh I do have good eyes for good looking ma…"

>>540291
"Hey!"
Hold him.
'1d10+2'

Roll #1 7 + 2 = 9

540296

>>540293
"HE'LL SET THE BOAT ON FIRE!"

>>540294
"I DON'T HAVE IT."

540297

>>540296
"I set the Seaworthy on fire once. And the Eagle's Roost during the battle at Roads. And?"

540298

>>540284
"Oh, mere secrets do not frighten you do they?"

>>540285
And I'll get back to reading.

>>540294
>>540293
>>540295
>>540296
Oh dear… this is getting a bit chaotic.

540299

>>540295
"Whoa! I appreciate the sentiment, but at least buy me dinner first!"
>>540296
"What? I'm not that stupid! These bombs take a while to arm so I can get a safe distance away!"

540300

>>540297
"Well I dont want to see this boats on fire again. Its hard to repair ships you know."
"Well except if we have the money… and perhaps some dancers but that is not the point.

>>540299
>>540298
>>540296
I just look at the 'Wanderer' uneasily.
"Should I take this fellow to the brig Ms. Light Heart?"

540301

>>540297
"Listen. There are…bombs…right in this cabin…one wrong move…and we will all be pieces of smudge. Do you want that?

>>540299
"Listen, I did not have all dangerous chemicals stored safely and far away from the gunpowder to have you run around everywhere with bombs.
It just cannot do. I'm sure you're…safe….but I would like those bombs off while on the ship…it's basic safety."

540302

>>540300
and by brig, I mean prison.

540303

>>540300
"Y'know, I hired a mare in Roads, but she was probably killed in all that chaos.
Such a shame."

>>540301
"Well, he won't be staying on the Darklantern, problem solved."

540304

>>540300
Look around.
"Well, we are on the Hourglass, mister Chip. You are acting officer."

>>540299
"I do advice you to take better care of your explosives, mister Wanderer. Joke or not, rogue explosives are quite dangerous on a ship."

540305

>>540303
"On the Darklantern? If he exploded on the Sirocco, the whole chemical storage would go up in blaze of green fire!"

540306

>>540301
"That's not fair! Look at her!" I point at Emrille. "I don't see you confiscating her weapons, but you want to take mine?"
>>540304
"Look at me. If I wasn't careful, I'd be blown up! Yet here I am, still in one piece! I know what I'm doing!"

540307

>>540305
"We will not allow that to happen to the Sirocco, no need to worry."

>>540306
I chuckle.
"I would certainly hope so."

540308

>>540305
"Well I'm not on the Sirocco, am I?"

>>540306
"Now, now, you don't want to be pointing hooves at an officer, would you?"

540309

>>540306
>>540304
I chuckle.
"Well first thing, Emrille is with us for a long time so I trust her even if she is a bit of wild gun and second… well you are new and I really cant trust you …. yet."
"Specially with that antics of yours so off we go!"

Haul the Wanderer to the BRIG!

540310

>>540309
Smirk.
"Don't be too rough on him, 'kay?"

540311

>>540309
I would vouch for him… but he tried to steal my purse earlier. Guess he gets to spend some brig time then, until September decides what to do.

540312

>>540308
"I also don't want to be stuck in Chip's bear-hug, yet here I am!"
>>540309
"Hey wait, where are you taking me? Stop that this instant-"
>>540310
"-Oh. Well, you could have just asked. I hope you're not one of those dogs that are into collars and hoofcuffs, cause I'm not doing that."

540313

>>540312
"Listen, calm the fuck down, and everything will be fine. He might have to pat you down."
Snicker.
"Now shoo, the two of you."

540314

>>540310.
"Phrasing."

>>540312
I glare.
"Hey!"
Bring him down the brig, confiscate his stuff and lock him in.
"Ms. September and the Fullmaster will decide, so you just relax there after we decide what to do with you. Deal?"

540315

>>540314
"Alright, fine. Didn't know there were enough people on board with a thing for dungeon play to warrant building one. When's it my turn to be on top?"

540316

>>540313
I'm a bit more calm now.

540317

>>540315
"Hey phrasing!"
I then scratch my head in irritation.
"You know what, this band of ours have been in a rough ride recently. I would literally flay someone alive if we lost one more ship, You understand me right?"
"As for that thing about being on top, let me give you an advice wanderer, or whatever is your true name that is."
I then peer.
"If you want to lead, you got to learn how to follow the chain of commands first."

540318

>>540316
"You were getting pretty riled up back there."

540319

>>540316
"Not a fan of explosives, I assume?"

540320

>>540317
"Lead? I prefer to work in the shadows. and I wasn't kidding about knowing what I was doing; do you really think I'd run around covered in explosives if I wasn't absolutely certain that they wouldn't go off unless I wanted them to? Besides, what would I gain from sinking a ship? I can swim, but I doubt I'd be able to make it back to shore."

540321

>>540318
>>540319
>>540320
"Listen, I'm an alchemist, I know a bit about making and hoofing explosives. I don't have anything against explosives.
But I also know their power and how little has to go wrong to make them explode. Hanging yourself full of explosives is not a good idea. We do not keep the cannons full of gunpowder at all times for a reason, we only use them in case of battle."

540322

>>540321
"I keep my guns loaded at all times."

540323

>>540322
"A gun has little gunpowder compared to the amount near a cannon, or a bomb. The worst that could happen is you getting scorched."

540324

>>540320
"Ooohh… you say. Well here is another advice and also the reason why I have you imprisoned right now."
I then raise my pointing finger up.
"Better be safe than sorry."

I then give out a tired out breath.
"I'll see to it that Miss. September would know about this. I'll leave you be now. Later Wanderer."

I then leave and head back to the others.

>>540319
>>540321
>>540322
"Well that is hairy, for a moment there I thought that lunatic will sink this ship."

540325

>>540324
Wait until he's gone, then pick the lock of my cell. '1d10'

Roll #1 1 = 1

540326

>>540323
"I can literally shoot fire, though."
Smirk.

>>540324
Shrug.
"He's sort of weird. Probably because he's a goat. Heard they have smaller brains or someshit."

540327

>>540326
I stop to think for a moment.
"Thats not true."

"Is it?"

540328

>>540325
Well, that's not the lock. Try again? '1d10'

Roll #1 5 = 5

540329

>>540327
"Look at their skulls! Wouldn't it make sense?"

540330

During my early days on the fleet,I will probably have asked around for some of the most fearsome warriors amongst the crew.
Time to meet the top dog.
Reach the Hourglass and ask around for the first mate.

540331

>>540330
Turn around while stacking firewood in a corner.
"Huh? Thats me? Why ask?"

540332

>>540331
Bow my head respectfully.
"My name is Flowing Tree of the Gun-Do clan.
I joined your fleet not longer than a week ago.
I've heard you are one of the most powerful warriors on the fleet, and have come to pay my respects."

540333

>>540332
I think for a moment.
"Hmmm… these are the few times I got some respect, which I doubt I deserve but still it is a welcome relief."
I stand up and wipe my brows.
"Flowing Tree eh? Are you a new recruit? This is the first time I saw you pony. Tell me, who recruited you neighpon?"

540334

>>540333
Nod.
"I've joined in Lagobana. Hex breaker for Captain Marsh, currently stationed on the Sirocco.
But ever since arriving on board I've been waiting to find someone I could call a peer in the art of the sword."
Turn to a side to reveal the three swords I'm carrying, two of which are normal rapiers, while the third resembles more a slightly curved stick than a sheat.

540335

>>540334
"Hmmm…. could I inspect these swords, besides being a ship-builder I am also a smith all in thanks to Ms. Blue Topaz, may the sea's bless her soul." I made a gesture as a sign of respect.
"All in all I call myself a renaissance dog but I just put that title to myself so dont believe that or to who-ever said that."

540336

>>540335
"A… Renaisance dog?
The word doesn't sound familiar to me, I'm afraid."

540337

>>540336
"Its means it is someone who is like a super-being, capable of doing anything, is super-intelligent, a sports-man and is totally awesome."
"Which does not relate to me, though I am good with the sword." I smile.

With that I relax.
"How about you Sir Tree, why did you join the fleet?"

540338

>>540337
Chuckle a bit at that.
"Whoever created the term was incredibly confident.
As per your question, I'm travelling the world. I always have. First on my own, then in a warband of sellswords, now with this fleet."

540339

>>540338
"Travelling while not minding of earning some pocket money is it? Looks like you picked the right ships to go with. With the recent loss of men during an unfortunate event in the past, we would really could use ponies who are good with handling their weapons in a fight. So far we've picked up a few but I am confident that we've picked some of the best."

"I mean just looking at you who would doubt a pony carrying three swords right?"

540340

>>540339
Smile at that.
"Truth be told, one is nothing but an ornament. A cerimonial piece.
I rarely even draw it."

540341

Trotting over the deck, looking around for Tela.

540342

>>540341
I'm still here, probably playing around with some of my swords.

540343

>>540342
I land next to you.
"Hey, Tela. Nice weather isn't it?"

540344

>>540342
Back when I first joined.
Most likely after my talk with Emrille, something like a week or so after we left port, I will come looking for you.

540345

>>540343
Point a sword at her.
"Aye. I figured you'd be taking advantage of it by sunbathing or something."
Pat my coat.
"I just reflect all of the sunlight away anyway."

540346

>>540344
That's a while ago! at that point I'm probably still practicing some spells

540347

>>540346
So where would I find you most likely?

540348

>>540345
"I had a little sun earlier but I'm not one for laying around all day. It makes me too lazy."

540349

>>540347
Uh… probably on the deck of the Darklantern, I think that's where I'm stationed on anyway

>>540348
I nod.
"Me neither, makes me too fucking sweaty anyway. Time better spent being productive. So what's up?"

540350

>>540349
Approach calmly, giving you time to see me come a good distance away.
"Lady Tela.
Just the mare I was looking for."

540351

>>540349
"I've been practicing my skills."
Take off my hat and pull 2 cups of ice cream out of it. Okay if I just take a 6?

540352

>>540350
"Mmm? What you need me for?"

>>540351
NO FUCK YOU
"… Sweet."
Lick my lips.

540353

>>540352
Hoof you one.
"It is rather nice. But it's all I've been able to do up till now."
Look at the hat.
"It's not even a real spell really, the hat does most of the work."

540354

>>540352
"I must apologize.
In Nagobana, I wasn't truthful about certain things."

540355

>>540353
"All you've been able to do!? I sure can't pull ice cream out of my ass!"

>>540354
"Uh… okay. Look, if you're really just into stallions, that's fine. People on here don't really give a shit like they do where you come from."

540356

>>540355
Frown, looking at her kind of perplex.
"I…
Where would you get such an idea?"

540357

>>540355
I giggle.
"Me neither!"

540358

>>540356
I smirk.
"Just a wild guess. The right one?"

>>540357
"Can you like… pull out money too? That'd be crazy."

540359

>>540358
Shake my head, looking incredibly serious.
"I'd not waste words to compliment your beauty if that was the case, would I?"

540360

>>540340
I raise an eyebrow.
"How come? Why carry one if you wont use it as what is intended."
"Besides there is a war, I think you will not be able to keep it sheated."

540361

>>540358
I scratch my head.
"It should be possible, but when I tried I pulled out some coal. My mom said that if I used the hat too much, the universe would send nasty things….Besides, it must come from somewhere right? What if I steal it from some little kid?"

540362

>>540359
Shrug dismissively.
"Eh. Whatever. What's up for real though? Trouble?"

540363

>>540361
"Or worse, from Emmy."

540364

>>540363
"Oh I definitely don't want to do that!"

540365

>>540364
I nod.
"She'd crawl through your hat and kill you. She's crazy when it comes to her gold."

540366

>>540360
"No, you see, this is a terrible blade.
It's made of poor iron extracted from sand and it lacks a guard.
Furthermore, anything above leather would stop it fully, as it's not adept at piercing place or puncturing mail."
>>540362
Shake my head.
"In Nagobana, we were being followed.
Most likely the secret police. But this also means everypony around us, from shopkeepers to beggars, was listening to our every word.
I lied as I didn't want them to know about a few things which, instead, I feel you as a fellow crewmate should be aware of.
First of all, notice my equestrian. I have no problems understanding or speaking it in any form, as I've spent the last twenty years in your country."

540367

>>540366
I scratch my head
"Why keep it in the first place? Can I have a look at it? If I have time I might be able to do something about it."

540368

>>540366
"Oh, alright. Don't worry about it. I'm not too concerned about them hearing what I said at least."

540369

>>540365
I imagine the thought for a second and something strikes me.
"…If I may ask…what's up with her hat?"

540370

>>540367
Shake my head.
"You might look at it all you want, but this sword is a symbol. Its purpouse is not battle, but eliciting respect from those below you.
At least, in Neighpon.
It's a traditional sword only nobility is allowed to carry."

540371

>>540369
Roll my eyes.
"She likes it a lot. Thinks it's stylish and is pretty attached to it for that reason. Pretty retarded if you ask me, but she gets pissed when I insult it."

540372

>>540368
Nod.
"Thanks for your understanding.
Also, that was the reason I suggested restrain in your vocabulary.
Bear in mind I've no opinion about swearing one way or the other. Being part of a company of mercenaries for two decades has that effect, on you."
Smirk.

540373

>>540371
"Well, if even you can't tell her without pissing her off, I suppose she'll shoot me for saying something about it."

540374

>>540370
I just frown.
"If you are going to ask me I rather have a battle-ready sword than something that will just be deadweight but if you insist on keeping it I wont stop you. It is after all something that is important to you." I smile.

540375

>>540372
"Would me swearing have pissed them off?"

>>540373
"Yeah, try to avoid that. Maybe she thinks it makes her look more imposing or some shit, being the scrawny little fuck she normally is."

540376

>>540375
"Oh…I'm surprised you talk about her like that…"

540377

>>540374
Nod.
"Thank you for understanding.
It still offers its advantages, though.
Here at sea, you won't find many plate armors, and it's a weapon incredibly efficient in cutting through unarmored opponents.
The katana has its own niche utility."
Smile.
"But tell me about yourself, Sir Chip. What is the mark of one of the greatest warriors of this fleet?"
>>540375
Shake my head.
"Hardly. It would, however, have given the common folk an easier time listening in on us, as commotion and a fiery attitude from mares are not something commonly seen, in Neighpon."

540378

>>540376
I smirk.
"She's a pegasus. You halfbirds never have much meat on your bones."

>>540377
"Oh… wow, your mares sound really boring then! Don't they have fire in their hearts when ready for battle?"

540379

>>540377
"Uhhmm….." I scratch my head.
"To be honest I haven't given thought about it. All I know is that I whack heads here and there until to the point I was called the best warrior of the fleet. Weird huh?"

540380

>>540378
I flap my wings.
"Guilty. We've got to stay light if we want to keep flying. There's no worse shame for a pegasus than not being able to fly."

540381

>>540378
"Our mares don't go to battle."
Give you an almost resigned expression, as to underline the stupidity of this statement.
"Seeing miss Puzzle was a nice change of pace, in fact."
>>540379
"You must be a born warrior."

540382

>>540381
"Hmmm…. whoa, am I?" I look at you astonished.

540383

>>540382
Chuckle.
"If what you say is true, then yes.
I've met few others in my life who could vant a title as prestigious as yours."

540384

>>540380
"You've got a pretty big hat too… I'm starting to see a pattern here!"

>>540381
"The fuck? Why not?"

540385

>>540384
I pose.
"I like to think it's in better taste however."

540386

>>540384
"Neighpon is an horribly backward place of traditions and idiocy, I'm afraid."

540387

>>540383
"Well, I dont swagger about my strength and skills in front of other warriors but if you are saying that I deserve such titles then I am glad to know." I smile.

"Well, take note I dont swagger in front of warriors but in front of female's it is a different story." I wink.

540388

>>540387
"You and I both.
Because a warrior needs its rest, and mares are the one th-"
Catch myself.
"Or bitches, of course."
Smile.

540389

>>540385
"It's pretty magicky looking."

>>540386
"Sucks. See I don't have to be ashamed of anything. I wasn't born in any land!"

540390

>>540389
"Oh?"
Look at her curiously.

540391

>>540388
I recline on the deck and rest.
"Well any female is fair game to me, just as long as they are cute and is lovely I'll take them. Haaah… " I exhaled as I rest.

I stand upright.
"Oh man, once we reach Neighpon I would like to see how the locals look like."

540392

>>540391
We just left Neighpon…
Better not bring it up.
"As frail as a sakura's petal. And very submissive."

540393

>>540389
"I wanted to be a stage magician at one time.
Didn't work out, but I kept the look."

540394

>>540392
Whelp my bad
I look.
"Sa-ku… ra?"

540395

>>540394
"Cherry trees.
Strangers travel the world to see them blossom and die in one week."

540396

>>540390
"Born at sea. On the HMS Defiance, an Equestrian ship of the line. Parents were officers on there."

>>540393
"Huh, stage magician? So that's where you started learning magic?"

540397

>>540396
"Most, impressive.
Another one born to battle, I could not be happier to have found you, Lady Tela."

540398

>>540395
I scratch my head.
"Wait we do have cherry tree's in the other parts of the world. I am just confused because I take it that Sakura is a native language."

540399

>>540396
"Uh no…my mom taught me a little bit, she knew a few tricks. And of course, I got my hat!"

540400

>>540397
"Yeah I know, I'm pretty amazing aren't I?"
Snicker.
"If it weren't for that fact, I'd probably still be serving in the Navy right now. Hunting… pirates."

>>540399
"So wait… your hat is your catalyst?"

540401

>>540398
Nod.
"Neighponese.
The variants we cultivate differ greatly from the ones found abroad, their flower is pink as the twilight and full in taste, whilst they bear no fruits."
>>540400
"That fact?"

540402

>>540400
"No, but it's a magic hat! You can't pull ice cream out of Emrille's hat!"

540403

>>540401
"The fact that I'm amazing! And… defiant."

>>540402
"So what is your catalyst then?"

540404

>>540401
"Quite different indeed." I smile.

"…. hey there is also as sort of neighponese pony on board too, well I think she is neighponese that is."
"Have you met Ms. Happy Puzzle?"

540405

>>540403
I pull out my magic wand. Classic black and white.
And wave it around a bit.

540406

>>540403
Smile.
"Youth oftentimes is.
How did you find yourself here, then?"
>>540404
Nod.
"Energic and quite different from most Neighponese ladies.
A sight for sore eyes, I might add."

540407

>>540406
I laugh a bit.
"That is why I was confused when you say 'frail and very submissive', traits that are not present to her in the least."

540408

>>540405
Give her a goofy grin.
"… Seriously?"

>>540406
"Mercenary work for the fleet. I joined up as legit crew a while later."

540409

>>540408
"You don't like it?'

540410

>>540407
"She's most different indeed. I would not mind knowing more about her."
>>540408
"And here you met Emrille, I would imagine."

540411

>>540409
I laugh.
"No it's just… kinda cute."

>>540410
"Nah, we met long before that. We just re-met on here."

540412

>>540410
I stand up.
"That you should do, she is a good healer and allegedly also a fighter of sort. Light Heart knows more about her than I since both of them are good confidants."

540413

>>540411
"It's magical."
I strike a pose.
"All I miss now is a bit of fireworks behind me!"

540414

>>540411
"I'm listening."
>>540412
Shake my head.
"My friend, if I were to learn more about her, I'd not ask Lady Heart, surely.
I'm confident you understand what I mean."

540415

>>540414
I turn my head confused a bit.
"Why is that?"

540416

>>540415
Clear my throat and make a rude mounting gesture with my hooves.

540417

>>540413
"I could launch some of my own magic fireworks, but those are a little dangerous."

>>540414
"Not much to tell, really. I met her when she was a kid… which she still kind of is today. That was years ago though. I was doing merc work back then and decided to look after her before she got her ass killed doing merc work as well. We worked together for a few years, then split up again."

540418

>>540417
My ears perk.
"you're a magician too, Tela?"

540419

>>540416
I scratch my head and shake my head.
"Sorry but I am a bit foreign to pony gestures." I grin.

I then put a hand up.
"But if you'd rather keep it a secret, I would rather not know what you are trying to say nor tell any of the crew about that 'mounting gesture'. Clear?"

540420

>>540418
"Well yeah, wasn't that obvious? I got basic magic training back when I was working as a guard, then studied more after I left."

540421

>>540420
"I didn't know!"
I squee and give you a hug '1d10'

Roll #1 4 = 4

540422

>>540421
Uh…
"You're really pleased about this, aren't you?"

540423

>>540420
>>540421
>>540422
As I'm fluttering around, I notice this little sight.
Fly closer with a smug expression.
"Tenderizing the fresh meat for the threesome, huh, Tela?"

540424

>>540419
Facehoof.
"It's a rude way to say I find miss Puzzle most attractive."
>>540417
"Can't say I ever had such luck.
A true friend and then more."
Smile.
"If we were on land, I'd hope for the wheat fields to watch over you two, but here at sea colloquialisms from my time on land don't work well anymore.
So I will just hope good luck to you both from the bottom of my heart.
Now."
Look her over.
"Were you in the middle of something?"

540425

>>540422
"I'm just so happy that we both know magic and we're friends now!"

>>540423
I look up and take a step away from Tela.
"Hey Te-….what do you mean by that?"

540426

>>540425
Land softly beside you.
"I see that you like to get… personal, with my marefriend. I took a guess?"

540427

>>540423
Roll my eyes.
There goes the peace and quiet.
"What do you need Emrille? We're talking about things you don't give a shit about."

>>540425
"Friends… okay, sure!"

>>540424
"Just some magic practice, no big deal."

540428

>>540424
"Ah.. OH!" I then laugh.
"Well if that is the case then I wont ask why not, each has their own taste." I smile.

540429

>>540426
"….Not every hug means…that. I was just happy to hear she loves magic too."

540430

>>540429
Snicker and poke you with a wing.
"I'm just fucking with you, don't worry."

>>540427
Walk over, place a wing under your chin and kiss you, then pull back.
"Are you trying to get rid of me, huh?"

540431

>>540427
"Most interesting. Of which kind?"
Shift stance, showing the side with the swords.
>>540428
"Don't get me wrong, I like all mares.
But home feels like home."
Smile.

540432

>>540431
"Hmmm… which reminds me, I need to woo that new mare on-board she is a cute number." I scratch my head.

540433

>>540429
"No, I just know from experience you don't care about it."

>>540429
"Anyway, I've been working on teleportation, sword control spells and summoning spells."

>>540431
Summon an ethereal warhammer.
"This kind of magic. For the moment."

540434

>>540433
"Really now? Indulge me then, what were you discussing?"

540435

>>540432
"Shall we have… A friendly wager, Chip?"
Smirk mischieviously.
>>540433
Look at the hammer.
"Most impressive.
May I… Step in? Just to test it, of course."

540436

>>540433
I clap my hooves.
"Wow..I wish I knew how to do that."

540437

>>540435
"Wager about what?" I look at him curiously.

540438

>>540437
Keep the smirk up.
"Whoever shall reach Lady Selena's heart faster."

540439

>>540436
Snort.
"Really, who doesn't know magic?"

540440

>>540434
"Just… magic spells in general."

>>540435
"Sure, go ahead."

>>540436
"And I wish I could pull things out of my hat!"

540441

>>540440
"Please, leave the hammer on the ground."

540442

>>540440
"Thought you were talking about dicks. Y'know I'm a fan of magic. Give it time and Abilio will teach me all the spells worth knowing!"

540443

>>540438
I look at him as I bite my lips.
"So you are also looking right toward her direction are you, and what happens if one of us wins?"

540444

>>540443
"Oh no my friend, you are mistaken.
I am not looking towards her direction.
My gaze simply scans the horizon."
Chuckle.

540445

>>540441
Do so.

>>540442
Talking about sex again, really unexpected.
"Got a lot of catching up to do to the real pros then."

540446

>>540444
I close my arms.
"You have a keen eyes Mr. Tree and I applaud you for having good taste. As for Ms. Selena, we will see."

540447

>>540445
"Do I? Can you teleport yet?"
Smirk.
"Cause I can. I've been able to since before Roads too."

540448

>>540445
Assume a fighting stance.
Bring a hoof to the katana, and stare at the hammer.
Then, imperceptibly, lift the sword just a few inches from its sheat, revealing little more than a flash of metal, and deflect a ray of sunlight onto the conjured hammer.
"Spellbreak."
Then, as the ethereal weapon vanishes, let go of the katana and return to my usual calm stance.

"That is neighpon's most prized art.
Hex Breaking."

540449

>>540446
"It's more of a wish to find and give happiness than anything else, mister Chip."

540450

>>540447
"I can, yeah. Not that you'd know about it."

>>540448
"Right, I almost learned how to as well at one point when I was dabbling into using paladin magic. Never got around to actually learning it."
Summon an ethereal sword this time.
"Can't say this stuff isn't cool either. I'm liking it."

540451

>>540450
"Care to show me what you have got, then?
I promise, I will not use hex breaking to fight you."

540452

>>540450
"Well I can really only just teleport that one bullet… but I'll be able to do it properly, just you fucking wait and see!"

540453

>>540451
"I don't think that's a good idea to do on the ship. Not sure how Abilio would feel about me accidentally torching the sails."

>>540452
"Well if you need any help…"

540454

>>540453
"You'd magic coach me?"
Hehe, coochie.

540455

>>540454
"Abilio's probably better at it. But I can."

540456

>>540455
Brush up against you.
"Mhhm, Miss Teacher, educate me~"

540457

>>540456
"Miss teacher is going to take a break first."

540458

>>540453
"Ah, most unfortunate then."
Smile and give a little nod.
"It is of no matter.
I think our time is done, Lady Tela, I will let you go back to your training."

540459

>>540457
Snicker.
"But seriously, thanks. I can't wait to smack your flank and just zap away, so the sooner I learn it the better."

540460

>>540458
Nod at him.
"Sure thing, see ya around."

>>540459
"Yeah well… we'll see how the cookie crumbles."

540461

>>540460
"So, how are your fancy magic weapons coming along?"

540462

>>540461
"I've mastered that spell a while back actually."

540463

>>540462
"I know, but can you like, make a gun too?"

540464

>>540463
"Mmm… too complicated. No reason to, really."

540465

>>540464
"Mind-bullets?"

540466

>>540465
"Got magic bolt for that."

540467

>>540466
"You should totally start hurling fire and ice and shit too."

540468

>>540467
"Working on it."

540469

>>540468
"Wanna' learn from the best?"
Smirk.

540470

>>540469
"I almost got lightning down actually. I think I'll wait with the other elements until later. There's still one big spell I need to figure out entirely first."

540471

>>540470
"That is?"

540472

>>540471
I smirk.
"You'll see one day, my sweet little butt."

540473

Let's pretend I excused myself for a few minutes.

>>540439
"Many, many ponies."

>>540440
"Maybe you can buy one, somewhere."

540474

>>540472
Pout.
"Aww, come on!"

>>540473
Smirk.
"I know the best kind of magic."

540475

>>540473
"Yeah… maybe. Probably cost me though."

>>540474
"Nah."

540476

>>540475
"Come the fuck on, why can't you tell me?"

540477

>>540474
"There are many kinds of magic and they're all equally good."

>>540475
I look sideways.
"Yeah…they must cost a lot."

540478

>>540476
"Talking back to your teacher, are you?"

>>540477
"You don't know?"

540479

>>540477
"I have the best kind… the one that makes me good at killing."
Flash a toothy grin.
"What costs a lot, huh?"

>>540478
"Whatcha' gonna' do, spank me?"

540480

>>540478
I shake my head.
"I don't even know where to get one."

>>540479
"A magic hat."

540481

>>540479
"You bet I will."

>>540480
"Where'd you get yours?"

540483

>>540481
>>540482
Bump my flank into yours.
"I can hardly wait~"

>>540480
"What's so magic about it?"

540484

>>540481
"I got it when I was still a little filly from my….uncle."

>>540483
I turn quickly to you.
"With a little magic, you can pull out almost anything you want."
I tip my hat.

540485

>>540484
"Oh… alright. Pretty big hat for a filly."

540486

>>540485
"I must have looked pretty cute. I suppose he wanted me to grow in it.
I kept it in top condition until now."

540487

>>540484
"Oh really?"
Step closer to you, from Tela.
"Even gold?"

540488

>>540487
I giggle.

540489

>>540488
Raise a brow.
"What's so funny?"

540490

>>540486
"That's nice… to still have stuff that belonged to your family I mean."

540491

>>540490
I snort slightly.
"Bullshit."

540492

>>540489
"Oh nothing…like I told Tela, it should be able to, but I haven't been able to do it yet."
I tap the hat.
"If you use it too much, it doesn't work well, so I don't experiment too much with it."

>>540490
"Yeah…"
I look at it.
"It means a lot to me. It reminds me of my mom….and my uncle."

540493

>>540492
"You should totally try fishing some for me someday, huh? I'm sure we can make a deal."

540494

>>540491
"What was that?"

>>540492
"I'll bet it does. Make sure to look after it around here."

540495

>>540494
Feing innocence.
"What was?"

540496

>>540494
"I won't lose it."

>>540493
"Perhaps. We'd have to discuss that sometime."

540497

>>540496
"Oh I can make hellova' deals, don't worry."

540498

>>540497
"I don't accept pussy as a currency, however."

540499

>>540495
Shake my head.
"Nevermind."

>>540498
I chortle, then start snickering.

540500

>>540498
Smirk, then chuckle.
"Could've fooled me, with how you were brushing up against Tela when I found you two. You have that dyke look in your eyes."

540501

>>540500
"That dyke look hmmm? I bet you tell that to all the mares."

540502

>>540501
Grin.
"Maybe. Or maybe only the ones I'd be happy to fuck."
Nod my head.
"Tela here has the dykest look, as you can imagine, and she was in denial for the longest time."

540503

>>540502
I look at Tela.
"I'm not seeing it."

540504

>>540503
"You're not looking hard enough."

540506

>>540503
Shrug.
"She's crazy."

540507

>>540504
>>540506
"What does a dyke look even look like, Emrille?"

540511

>>540507
>>540506
Do a circle around Tela.
"Something like this…"
Stop and give her a kiss.
Make it sloppy.

Flick my tail and break the kiss with a gulp quickly.
"Feisty today, aren't you?"

540518

>>540517
"Can't handle the heat?"

540521

Enter the place and look around.

……..

"Whats happening here?" I looked a bit confused.

540522

>>540518
Straighten my hat and fix my mane.
"You know you can get my blood pumpin."

>>540521
Chuckle.
"You just missed two mares making out, m'afraid."

540523

>>540521
"Tela and Emrille were discussing their relationship. How are you, mister chip."

540524

>>540515
Smirk.
"Sorry, that was kinda rude. But you can't contain her."

>>540522
"Yeah… you liked it a lot, didn't you?"

540525

>>540524
"No. No…it's sweet."

540526

>>540524
Nod.
"I know what we're doing after this chat is over."

540527

>>540522
I bite my lipss
"Drats, just my luck."
"But its good to hear you two are going great as a couple." I smile

>>540523
I then turn.
"Talking about luck I am fine and in good health. How about you."

540528

>>540527
"I'm okay. I've been catching some sun."

540529

>>540527
"Thanks. What are you up to today, huh? Keeping this piece of wood afloat another day?"

540532

>>540529
"By float you mean speeding, this babies will get us whereever we want in no time."
"Well as long as no enemy ship goes around and challenge us that is, but that is the reason why pirates like yourself are here."

>>540528
"Catching the… sun?" I raise an eyebrow.

540534

>>540532
"Yes, you know, sunbathing."

540536

>>540532
"You point me to a ship you don't like and I'll set it on fire for you, Chip."
Smirk.

540539

>>540536
"That is great to hear. Most of us can rest easy when all the crews do their job."

>>540534
"As for you, why bathe in the sun? I toil under the sun when bringing down the mast, or repairing the ship but bathing under the sun for the sake of bathing is something…. new."

540542

>>540539
"Oh, Chip, y'know I'm the best at what I do."

540543

>>540539
"It is to relax, and gives you a nice complexion."

540544

>>540543
"That I can surely count on too."

>>540542
I scratch my head.
"Well giving a good complexion or make my fur shine is something I am having doubts"

Recline side by side.
"But now that you mentioned something about relaxing, that is something I could use after a long day."

540545

>>540544
I think you switched the posts

"How long have you been part of the fleet, mister Chip?"

540551

>>540544
"I just can't wait to get some more action going already!"

540554

>>540545
I think for a moment.
"I dont know how long the fleet is roaming around the sea's but I can tell you that before most of the crews that you see here ever step their hooves on these ships I am already here."

I then run my paws on the floor of the deck.
"I already knew every plank of wood, every nail, every rat that infest this ship and the moss and rust that creeps up on these ships."

I turn.
"So yes, you can say I've been part of this fleet for a long time."

>>540551
"Dont worry, with the Marquee already signed we can engage in actions indeed."
"Well if Abilio is into action that is, I am sure he would likely try diplomacy first on all ships that we target though."

540557

>>540554
"You must have seen a lot in that time."

540562

>>540557
"You can say that yes, I 've seen a lot."
I recline closer.
"Being in a ship is like being in one of those stories, a voyage to the unknown and into places you've only heard on stories that old searats tell the young one's."
:"I am quite glad I've bitten the opportunity to be an apprentice to a ship-builder when I was young. Well because one is that I can see the world and second, if I had not gone to the sea's, how can I meet interesting mare's such as yourself?" I smile.

540565

>>540562
"How old are you anyway? Kinda hard to tell with you dogs."

540567

>>540562
"Can you tell me about some sights you've seen?"

540576

>>540554
"If that fails, there's always plan B."

540580

>>540565
"Hmmm.. I am around thirtiesh..?"
I then look.
"Why ask Ms. Tela?"

>>540567
"Many places that it take some time to recall, most of the crew have been in adventures you cant imagine, perhaps what interest me most Dixie and the ponies and dogs that owns the place, not to mention it is also where LH was born."

"Also there is Nodvogod, my place of birth…. its been some time since I was there, I am wondering what happened after all that time…. "

540581

>>540580
I sit down.
"What does it look like, novdogod?"

540583

>>540581
"Its a cold and snowy place, the skies is always dark and cloudy. The summers are short and so are most lives come to think of it. The only thing that makes Nodvogod a suitable place to stay for is the mines the dot the land and the warm harbor that allows it to be used as a trading post in the far north."

"Besides that, all I can say is that if you know how to live and survive, Nodvogod is not a bad place." I smile.

"How about you Selena?"

540585

>>540583
"I'm from Dawnwood, near Vanhoover. It's a small place in the pinewoods near the Frozen North of Equestria. Most ponies are woodcutters. They float the logs via the river to Vanhoover.
It's a quiet place, a bit too quiet. But I spent a lot of time going up and down the river with my mother. And with a goat, believe it or not, later."

540587

>>540580
"About my age then? Thought you were older…"

540596

>>540587
"Well I didnt know that, I thought you are around just in your twenty. I mean all ponies look young until that they are very old."

>>540585
"So you and I are no stranger from the cold I take it? No wonder why you took a liking to sunbathing." I grin.

540597

>>540596
"It's not as cold as I imagine Novdogod to be, but it can get very chilly in the winters."

For reference, Selena is 19

>>540597
"Hmmm, let me guess. You like warm soups dont you?"

540606

>>540603
"What self respecting mare wouldn't?"

540608

>>540606
"Soups are sort of boring."

540609

>>540608
"They are delicious and full of vitamins and great for your figure."

540616

>>540606
"Hit the bullseye, its expected from anyone that lives up north. Now I am looking forward that Ginger brew."

540621

>>540609
"I'd rather have some salad. Maybe with some honey. That's the fucking stuff!"

540623

>>540621
"Eating too much honey, makes your butt big. You remind me of a goat I traveled with, she only ate sweets. And furniture."

>>540616
"Well the extract isn't a real soup of course. It's just one herb."

540625

>>540623
I stop for a moment.
"Its not?" I tilt my head.

540627

>>540623
"My ass is perfect, bitch."
Flick my ears.
"Did you say furniture?"

540631

>>540625
"An extract is a brew made by extracting the essence of a herb within water. I see where the confusion lays, because soup is also herbs and vegetables in water. But an extract is not considered a meal, but a medicine. Soup is more filling and creamy."

>>540627
"But you do want to keep it in perfect state right? And yes, she ate furniture out of nowhere. At one time she ate the stairs of a home. She was really sweet, but I will admit she gave me a headache at times."

540633

>>540627
"Didnt goats eat most things?"

…..
"Hmmm I dont think Smitts has any missing furnitures…. "

540634

>>540631
"You're shitting me. You can't eat stairs!"

>>540633
Smirk.
"Well, maybe he ate it by the time you got there."

540635

>>540634
"I saw it, with my own eyes!"

540641

>>540635
"Bullshit"!

540645

>>540631
"Oh is that so? Well I am definitely confused at first but thanks for making it clear for me."

I lean closer and stare.
"Perhaps you can teach me more when I need to drink the medicinal ginger brew."
…..
"I'd am interested in the different brews that you can make."

540648

>>540641
"Are you saying I'm a liar?"

>>540645
"Uh….of course, that's my job. I'd be glad to tell you what you want about herbs and potions."

540649

>>540648
"How the fuck do you eat a set of stairs?!"

540651

>>540648
"I am counting on it." I give her a grin.

540654

>>540649
"Apparently, one bite at a time."

>>540651
"Okay, mister Chip. Would you do me a favor then as well?"

540655

>>540654
"Well, I killed a dragon with one shot and it crashed on the fleet that was under it."

540656

>>540654
I sit down and listen attentively.
"What is it?"

540660

>>540655
"….really?"
I look at Tela.
"Really?"

>>540656
"Well I have only been in this fleet for a little while Mister Chip, and I want to make sure I maintain a good reputation. I hope if my name ever comes up between officers, you'll speak positively about me."

540662

>>540660
Smile smugly.
"Ask anypony."
Glance at Chip.
"Or anyone."

540667

>>540660
>>540662
"That is true." I nod to Selena and Emrille.

540668

>>540662
>>540667
I look at Emrille.
"I don't know what to say Emrille. I'm in awe."

540671

>>540667
>>540668
Keep smirking.
"You could say I'm the best marksmare you've ever met, for starters."

540674

>>540671
"I've definitely never met anypony who shot down a dragon. You have my admiration."
I smile.

540678

>>540668
>>540671
I recline.
"She is a good Marksman, if not for her we could have not taken down that traitorous dragon and his cohort. One can say that Emrille is a very good asset of this ship in its continued existance."

>>540660
I look at Selena with just a smile.

540680

>>540674
"Yeah, y'know. I just wanted you to know who you're dealing with."

>>540678
"You got the spear from Smitts, so there's that too."

540682

>>540678
I smile back.
My nicest smile.

>>540680
"A great markspony."

540687

>>540682
"So, about that gold?"

540690

>>540687
"It's a risky thing, what would you give me in return for that risk?"

540693

>>540690
"I can shoot a pony of your choosing."

540695

>>540678
>>540680
>>540682
Random pony coming through.
"Did not expect this gathering."

540696

>>540680
I stand up and look at her sizing her up with a mischievous grin.
"That is a lot to ask, not that I am saying you are a bad mare Ms. Selena but that is something more than a bowl full of ginger brew would take."

"Eh…I don't have anypony I want shot right now."

>>540695
"Hello, mister Tree."

540699

>>540698
"Shooting ponies is bad for friendships."

540701

>>540698
"You can save it for later."

>>540699
"It's good for business."

540702

>>540701
"I'm sure the occasion will soon come."

540703

>>540701
"Hmmmm, I suppose this is quite an offer….I'll have to think about it, Emrille."

540705

>>540702
"I hope."

540706

>>540698
I smirk.
"Dont worry, I like your performance alright. Dont worry I am looking forward to that brew of yours."

I think for a moment.
"Say perhaps we can talk about it in a better place? Say your laboratory or your place what do you say?" I give a warm smile.

540709

>>540703
"You wouldn't regret it."

540711

>>540695
"Hello there." I nod.

540713

>>540706
"Uh sure, right now? I'd like to talk a bit longer to our friends here."

>>540709
"I'm not sure. Not that I doubt your skills. I'm not sure if I could live with knowing I caused a pony to die, just like that."

540715

>>540702
So you want to timewarp?

540716

>>540660
"It's true. We nailed a dragon."

540717

>>540713
"You've never killed before?"

540720

>>540717
"No."

>>540716
"How big was it?"

540722

>>540713
"There is no hurry, dont worry." I smile.

>>540715
Not today, I need to rest in 2 hours.

540723

>>540720
"Really? You totally should."

540725

>>540720
"Pretty damn big. Fucker was responsible for killing thousands of people too."

540726

>>540711
Nod back.
"I was looking for you, friend.
But it can wait."
Smile at him, slightly mischieviously.
>>540716
"Do tell."
>>540715
Yeah.
WE GOTTA GO
BACK IN TIME
During the first month of my stay on this ship.
I've heard you've got a room on the Sirocco, so I'll probably just knock.

540728

>>540726
"It was a really nasty fight. Shitloads of people died."

540729

>>540723
"I'm not a shooter like you Miss Emrille. I know a thing or 2 about poison, but I don't think I am somepony to do that myself."

>>540726
"Come in."
Probably brewing some stuff.
Imagine scientific shit and all kinds of brews, bubbling and smoking.

>>540725
"I can't believe it….where was this?"

540730

>>540728
"It tends to happen, when facing dragons."
>>540729
Open the door and have a quick look at the various stuff around.
"Most interesting."
Bow briefly.
"Lady Selena."

540732

>>540730
"Hello, mister Tree. How are you?"

540734

>>540729
"You should! The smell of gunpowder, the sight of blood, winning, knowing that you survived… it's fucking great! It's the best way to feel alive."

>>540730
"No shit."

540738

>>540732
"Quite well.
I'm loving the air here. It's making me feel ten years younger.
May I have a moment?"
>>540734
Answer in a very calm, but almost bored tone.
"Are you going to tell the story or what?"

540739

>>540729
"Roads."

540741

>>540738
"Of course, these brews need to rest anyway."

>>540739
I perk my ears.
"I think I heard something about that in Vanhoover, they said the whole island was destroyed by an army of dragons and pirates."

>>540734
"I think I prefer a nice cup of tea."

540742

>>540726
I look at him with hot, burning passion.
"Yes I do know my friend."

540743

>>540738
"There was this officer guy, who was actually a dragon. He started a mutiny, killed half the fleet and an entire city."

>>540741
Draw my pistol and aim it at you in a quick and fluid motion.
"BANG!"

540745

>>540741
"It's about brews, actually. I was hoping you could do something for me."
Pull a few seeds from my pocket.
Tea seeds.
"I assume you recognise these."
>>540743
"This is a setting, not a story."

540748

>>540742
"Oh, you visited town already?
Amazing."

540749

>>540745
"Ah yes, fine seeds, mister Tree. Let me boil some water."

540751

>>540741
"Yeah. Mind you, those pirates weren't even us. Fuckers tried to take over our fleet. Well fuck 'em. I hope we get hired to beat their asses."

>>540743
Roll my eyes.
"Stop trying to corrupt her, Emmy. For fuck's sake."

540753

>>540743
I wave my magic wand at you.
"PEW PEW PEW"

540754

>>540749
Smile.
"I knew you'd like them.
I am actually a great fan of this particular sub-species."

540757

>>540748
I tilt my head.
"Visited town?"

540758

>>540745
"Well, fuck, what do you want to hear?"

>>540751
"What? You like a good fight too!"

>>540753
Smirk, then jerk the gun upwards just enough to not hit her, and pull the trigger for a real bang.

540759

>>540757
"Well, I was talking just about that!"
Make a surprised face.
>>540758
"You truly are not a seamare."
Chuckle, but settle for a kind smile.
"How big was the dragon?"

540761

>>540754
"Well, I'm curious."
Put up some water.
"Where did you find them anyway?"

>>540758
"AAAH"
I duck and hold my hooves over my head.

540762

>>540759
"Fuckhuge!"

>>540761
Start laughing, but holster my pistol.
"There we go~"

540764

>>540761
"Home. Don't get me wrong, they are nothing uncommon or special.
Just my favorite kind of tea."
>>540758
>>540761
Also, raise a brow at that little firework show.

540775

>>540768
"Oww."
Keep snickering, even through that.
"You don't trust my aim?"

>>540770
"I think it was."

>>540759
I scratch my head and smile
"We are at sea so I havent visited any 'town' as of right now."

Still, nothing wrong in sharing a tea for now, right?"

540792

>>540788
"Look, don't mind Emrille's stupidity, alright? She can't help being mentally retarded."

540794

>>540788
"C'mon, I'm sorry, but I couldn't resist."

>>540792
"Yeah, it's contagius, from spending so much time with you."

540795

>>540790
"Of course not. I can add these seeds to our storage, I'm sure Ciddir would have no trouble cultivating more."

>>540792
"Y-yeah…" I smile forcedly.

540796

>>540782
Sorry I am getting confused, the past is where we introduced ourselves and the present is where we are now with Emrille, Tela and Selena right?

540799

>>540795
Nod with a smile.
"Tell me about your researches, Lady Selena.
I'm actually deeply interested in the matter."
>>540796
Should be.

540800

>>540794
"Do I need to smack you again?"

>>540795
I frown.

540801

>>540799
>>540776
"Hmmmmm…. if you are talking about Lagobana, well I havent explored it that much, so I cant give it a judgement as of yet."

540802

>>540832
"Uh… you alright?"

540836

>>540830
Answer calmly.
"This is not a battlefield either. I wouldn't have expected something so irresponsible from an officer of all ponies."
>>540832
Raise a brow.
"How many hooves?"
Raise'm hooves.
Both.
>past
"What would you need?"

540840

>>540832
Smirk.
"Heh."

>>540836
"It was educational."

540842

>>540840
"For me, undoubtely."

540846

>>540842
"Hey, if you can't stand the heat, leave the kitchen, isn't that right?"

540847

>>540833
"Ya know Tela, your a real qt. I liek u."

>>540836
I giggle.
"Four."
Then I giggle harder.
>past
"Oh I don't want to bore you with the details, I have to go through all of it with the Commodore myself still actually."

>>540840
I narrow my eyes.
"A yous laughing a me?"

540851

>>540847
"… Really? Just one drink hit you that hard? Why are all pegasi such goddamn lightweights?"

540852

>>540851
"We can't all have big flanks like you do."

>>540847
"I'd never~"

540855

>>540846
Ignore her.
>>540847
"…"
Well, she did have a long sip.
"She will be fine."
>past
"Forgive me, it's a professional deformation.
I always end up worrying for more than my job's worth."
>>540851
Shrug.
"At least her ears seem fine."

540857

>>540842
>>540846
>>540847
Land near the group.

>>540851
"Oh miss Tela, I arrive to hearing this? Admittedly, I do not drink alcohol myself, but that is still quite the generalization."

540858

>>540857
"I should totally spank her, with my wings, for that."

540861

>>540852
"Good. ya dun wanna mesh wif me."

>>540851
"I's no lightwait.."

>>540855
I giggle.
"Your eyes are funny."
>past
"Ah it's kind of you, but gathering all this stuff takes time. Especially since we spend most of our time at sea."

>>540857
"HEEEEY HEEEAAART"

>>540858
"Pffft, in yer dreamsh"

540862

>>540851
"Shut up."

>>540857
I smirk.
"You've got a pretty face, LH, but that doesn't mean you're not as scrawny as Emmy is. Pegasi don't have a lot of meat on their bones, it's that simple."

540866

>>540861
Snicker.
"Not you, Tela."

>>540862
Shrug.
"I dunno, I like checking Light's ass out."

540867

>>540857
"Lady Heart."
Bow briefly.
>>540861
"Yours are pretty, instead."
>past
"Dully noted.
Need any help with that tea?"

540869

540873

>>540861
"Totally are."

>>540866
"Oh shut up about cunts and asses for just one goddamn second."

540875

>>540873
"Tsk, you started it this time!"

540877

>>540869
"Oh, just a place to relax in. With some gentle ladies."

540879

>>540861
I smirk and nod at her politely.
"Miss Springleaf. Carrying yourself with dignity I see."

>>540862
>>540866
"You two flatter me."

>>540867
Nod politely back at him.
"Mister Tree."

540880

>>540877
"Hmmmm…. that do sounds like an interesting place to be in." I smile.

540881

>>540879
"Always..woo!"

I should be getting control of myself again right RNG? '1d10'

Roll #1 10 = 10

540882

>>540880
Nod.
"And much more, I can show you.
But after the job. It will make victory all the sweetest."
>>540879
"She's had a rough fifteen minutes."

540883

>>540881
I suddenly realize what I'm doing and shake myself.
"Whhaaa…."

540884

>>540879
"You should flatter me back."

540886

>>540867
"It should be ready about now."
Come back with a pot of hot tea.

540887

>>540875
"I was talking about faces, that's different!"

>>540879
"Gotta kiss some ass to get some promotions around here, right?"

540888

>>540887
"You always say scrawny and ass right after each other!"

540889

>>540887
>>540884
Sigh, mutterling lowly.
"As I keep saying, such a loss for stallions everywhere."
>>540886
Make some space for it.
"I didn't want to believe stories about some northern reaches of Equestria, where they venerate tea nearly as much as we do in neighpon."

540890

>>540889
"I heard they have special customs on how to serve it in Neighpon."

540891

>>540882
>>540881
I chuckle.
"I see."

>>540883
"Ah, it appears my presence has brought back clarity. Excellent."

>>540884
"If I must. I find your wings quite well-developed, for one. Quite an important physical trait for many ponies."

>>540887
I chuckle.
"I'm afraid that is only the beginning."

540892

>>540882
"Well I will be looking forward to that, I do beleive we will be able to take some ships specially with this war going on." I grin.

540893

>>540891
I blush and pull my hat a bit over my eyes.

540897

>>540889
Smirk.
"Sorry~"

>>540891
"Oh, I am proud of them allright."
Spread them.
"Tela preens them for me sometimes~"

540899

>>540890
"It's mostly about time.
So a few ponies with too much of that on their hooves decided to invent new ways to wait for the water to reach its proper temperature and for the leaf to simmer.
A greatly orchestrated scam."
Chuckle.
>>540892
"Before that, we should fence.
It's no good to be rusty."
>>540891
"Fearing more compliments?"

540901

>>540897
Smirk back and whisper to her.
"I will hire somepony that looks just like you."

540902

>>540901
Snort.
"Good luck with that. How will you do that, huh?"

540903

>>540899
"Neighpon seems like a country full of elaborate customs and etiquette."
Give you a cup.

540905

>>540902
Shrug.
"The world is a large place."
>>540903
"It's the price to pay for isolationism."

540906

>>540899
I nod.
"Perhaps we may, I'll see to that if we have time."

540907

>>540893
"Not to worry, worse things have been done by ponies while intoxicated."

>>540897
"How kind of her."
Spread my own wings.
"Miss Rosemary has become quite adept at it as well."

>>540899
"Excuse me? I am afraid I do not follow."

540908

>>540905
"Well…"
Whisper back.
"Knowing that you want to fuck me but can't only makes it more amusing to me~"
Snicker.

540909

>>540907
"Oh…I should make a potion to counteract the effects sometime."

540910

>>540908
Shake my head.
"You misunderstand.
I'm hardly interested, Lady Emrille.
Even if you have so far tried your best to provoke me."
>>540907
Wave a hoof dismissively.
"It is of no importance."

540911

>>540907
Close mine.
"Much more fun if somepony else does it, ain't it?"

>>540910
"What's your point then?"

540912

>>540891
"Yeah… that's what I thought too once. Not so sure nowadays though."

>>540909
"Or just learn how to handle your drink better!"

540913

>>540911
"It would just be funny to see the faces you make."
Smile candidly.

540914

>>540912
"I suppose I wouldn't be a pir…..privateer without rum…"

540915

>>540913
"Just because somepony looks like me they behave the same way then?"
Shake my head.
"Plus it's a moot point. I don't care for the 'pride' of stallions."

540916

>>540909
"That sounds like it could be quite the commercial success."

>>540911
"Oh it certainly is."

>>540914
"To be entirely fair, I have not touched so much as a drop of alcohol in my entire life myself."

540917

>>540914
Snort.
"She doesn't know what's good. Whiskey is where it's at."

>>540916
"Now I just need to get Tela to start giving massages."

540918

>>540905
"Why is Neighpon so isolated."
Take a nip of tea. "Mmmm."

>>540916
"Really?"

>>540917
"Haven't tried that either."

540919

>>540917
"I'll massage your face with my hoof."

540920

>>540915
"The… Pride?"
Chuckle amused.
>>540918
"Because they can afford it. The emperor and the whole upper caste is made of incredibly selfish ponies."

540921

>>540917
"Miss Rosemary is quite good at those as well… her magic touch is especially… pleasant."

>>540918
"Really."

540922

>>540921
I smile.
"That makes me feel a little better."

540923

>>540920
"Dick, dumbass."

>>540919
"You could be less rough every now and fucking again!"

>>540918
"It's better than that cheap shit rum."

>>540921
Frown.
"I think the only magic massage I ever got was from that bitch Spring, and that was half-assed too."

540924

>>540917
>>540923
"Rum's better."

540925

>>540920
"They oppress the ponies?"

>>540923
"But rum is so…piratey."

540926

>>540924
"Like shit it is."

>>540925
"And whiskey is tasty."

540927

>>540922
"There is nothing wrong with knowing temperance. Even as a pirate."

>>540923
"A true shame for you."

540928

>>540923
"Yes, you did shout it quite loudly and repeatedly."
Chuckle.
>>540921
"Neighpon has a long standing massaging tradition.
I would suggest trying their rough treatment."
>>540925
"If you aren't a noble, you will have barely enough to survive after working from dawn till dusk in the ricefields."

540929

>>540926
"Whiskey is dogpiss compared to a good brown rum!"

540930

>>540929
"You haven't tasted true alcohol until you have had Prench wine."

540931

>>540926
"I never tried it."

>>540927
"I only drunk a few glasses of wine in Vanhoover."

>>540928
"That's awful."

540932

>>540927
"Yeah, I do have a crystal mare though."
Smirk.

>>540928
"I just say what I think."
Shrug.

>>540929
"You could drink that shitty rum of yours, throw it back up in the glass, drink it again and not feel the difference."

540933

>>540928
"Perhaps I shall."

>>540931
I smile.
"Then you are far more experienced when it comes to alcohol than I am."

>>540932
"And this is relevant because…?"

540934

>>540930
"That pretentious shit? Fucking please."

>>540932
"You're just mad because you can't drink for shit. Last time you were sick after a single glass!

540935

>>540933
"Well who needs something everpony can have when I have something… special?"

540936

>>540934
"I was tired or something!"

540937

>>540935
"Crystal ponies may be uncommon, but they are not that rare, miss Emrille. And telekinesis… it is hard to beat such a thing."

540938

>>540937
Scruch.
"Well…fuck… C'mon, don't do this to me!"

540939

>>540933
"There's something else I would suggest, but it's often misunderstod by foreigners."
>>540934
"Drinking just to drown your worries and numb your senses is like not drinking at all."
>>540932
"That you most assuredly do.
Often.
Loudly.
As if you were in need of confirmation."
>>540931
Nod, and take a sip on my tea.
"You understand why I have no qualms about leaving my homeland behind now, right?"

540940

>>540939
"Of course. Did you leave any friends or family behind?"

540941

>>540935
Roll my eyes.
"Just the damn effect of a potion."

>>540936
I just snort.

>>540939
"Drinking is drinking, that's all. It's fucking alcohol, keep your bar wisdom to yourself."

540942

>>540940
"Family. But I had the chance to meet my favorite brother again just a few months ago."
>>540941
"Just do oppium if you have to stop thinking."

540943

>>540939
"Of what?"

>>540941
"Well drink a potion that gives you a horn so you we can try that out too!"

540944

>>540938
I smile.
"Do what, miss Emrille?"

>>540939
"Do share. Please."

540945

>>540944
"You know what I'm talking about!"

540946

>>540942
"Too addictive."

>>540943
"Why don't you ask the goddamn alchemist?"

540947

>>540943
>>540946
"Race morphing potions do exist."

>>540945
"I do?"
Feign ignorance.

540948

>>540944
"Are you familiar with the term Geisha?"

540949

>>540947
"Oh, suck a dick!"
Raise a brow.
"Wait, there's shit like that?"

540950

>>540948
"Why of course I am. They are Neighpon's famous artists."

>>540949
I nod.
"Yes indeed."

540951

540952

>>540950
"Well now…"

540953

>>540950
Nod.
"A day of entertainment by their own hooves is a luxury few can afford, but it's well worth the price."
>>540951
"When you picked me up in Nagobana.
I was just a passanger there, after all."

540954

>>540953
I shake my head.
"I'm afraid I don't understand."

540955

>>540954
"I was in Nagobana only because I went to visit him, nothing more.
I do not live in Neighpon, after all."

540956

>>540952
I smirk.
"Interested, are we?"

>>540953
"I will keep that in mind. Though I am not sure if I will be able to spend the time and money on such a thing while the fleet is in dire need of funds."

540957

>>540956
"Light, you gotta' help me talk Tela into this. Just for a night!"
Wonder for a second.
"Wait, fuck aren't we overthinking it though? Can't we just teach her that spell that the unicorns have?"

540958

>>540957
"I'm standing right fucking here, you know."

540959

>>540955
"What's your brother like?"

540960

>>540957
"I am not a mage, I'm afraid."

>>540958
"Oh, good day miss Tela."
I chuckle.

540961

>>540958
"I hope you are listening, then!"

>>540960
"Yeah you are, with your words."

540962

>>540956
"True.
Speaking of, do you have any words about the diplomacy effort with the neighponese government?"
>>540959
"Wise.
Old."
Smile fondly.

540963

>>540962
"It must be hard to leave him behind."

540964

>>540961
"My words, miss Emrille? Whatever do you mean?"

>>540962
"I do believe the commodore was successful, yes."

540965

>>540963
"He loves his homeland much more than I do, the old fool.
But he's the one who actually got me to travel the world."
>>540964
"Ah!
Perfect reason to celebrate."

540966

>>540965
"Celebration seems rather premature at this time."

540967

>>540966
"Celebrating the start of a new contract helps the troop's morale."

540968

>>540965
"Perhaps we'll meet him one day on our travels."

540969

>>540964
"You could convince a pony almost anything if you wanted, that's what."

540970

>>540968
"I hope not, he'd gut me open!"

540971

>>540967
"I do believe our morale is adequate at the moment. The crew seems eager to get to work, not waste valuable time while this war is still ongoing. You do realize this war will not last forever, yes?"

>>540969
I chuckle.
"I am flattered."

540972

>>540970
I giggle.

540973

>>540971
"Don't deny it."

540974

>>540971
Nod.
"You might be overworrying yourself though, Lady Heart."

540975

>>540972
Shiver a bit.
"You know how it is with older siblings!
And don't get me started on my sisters!"

540976

>>540975
I stop giggling.
"…you're serious?"

540977

>>540976
Stop to give her a little silly smirk.

540978

>>540976
"You truly are the most naive thing on this ship."

540979

540980

>>540973
"I do neither confirm or deny it."

>>540974
"I believe we will have reason to celebrate when we have results."

540981

>>540979
"In truth though, I do fear my siblings.
They are many and great in power.
I guess a reason for my departure was the wish to be more… Free than they ever were.
With nopony to look over my shoulders."

540982

>>540980
"Heh…
Anyway, I gotta' take care of something. Catch you later!"

540983

>>540981
"You come from a powerful family then? Are you a noble?"

540984

>>540983
"Oh, I thought you knew.
All samurais are."

540985

>>540984
"I wasn't aware."

540986

>>540985
"Only nobility is allowed to carry swords.
But I am not a true samurai anymore.
My clan has fallen, which makes me a ronin.
Samurai without a master."

540987

>>540986
"Your clan? Isn't that the same as family?"

540988

>>540987
"Just the same, yes."

540989

>>540988
"I'm confused, mister Tree. You say your clan has fallen, yet your brothers are in positions of power."

540990

>>540989
Shake my head.
"Not positions of power.
Just powerful.
Some of them are amongst the best wizards and warriors in neighpon."

540991

>>540990
"But why has your clan fallen then? Or am I misinterpreting the term fallen?"

540992

>>540991
Shake my head.
"Small clan, few numbers.
You can't win a war with a dozen warriors alone, can you?"

540993

>>540992
"I see. I'm sorry."

540994

>>540993
"I am not.
This way, I got to see the world.
If my family was still noble, I'd probably be trapped inside the royal palace."

540995

>>540994
"Ah…well, let's hope the journey will be pleasant and drive away all thoughts of neighpon."

540996

>>540995
Nod.
"Let's hope."
Raise my teacup.
"Where do you hail from, Lady Selena?"

540997

>>540996
"Dawnwood, near Vanhoover, northern Equestria."

540998

>>540997
"Fought a few battles near those parts. I loved the dark, mysterious woods.
They feel so magic."

540999

>>540998
"You see magic everywhere, mister Tree.
Those woods are only filled with wild animals."

541000

>>540999
Chuckle.
"But the battles we fought there make for great stories, believe me.
Maybe, one day we will have time to share them."

541001

>>541000
"Of course, it is getting late and I must return to my work."

541002

>>541001
"And I do not intend to keep you any longer."
Stand up and bow my head.
"Have a good day, Lady Selena."

541003

>>541002
"Good day, mister Tree. The tea was delightful."

541004

>>541003
"The company was the best part."
Smile and leave.
