[Character Sheets and Information: http://goo.gl/y9CC4 ]

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

I didn't even know that! No wonder my book got a little wet!
"Well… it's not like ponies never fight for real when it's raining!"

She nods. "I guess that's true..I'll go get my sword then…where do we fight?"

As Indy grabs a few more gems he suddenly grows. He's now a tiny bit bigger than you.
He looks surprised but then hisses and grabs the pile of gold and runs for one of the doors.

You're there.
The campfire is burning lightly, keeping a campfire going during rain isn't easy even if you have placed some cover above it. You should burn it higher before attempting to contact Pyrrus.

Look utterly surprised and chase after him.
Put that stuff down! It's not ours!"

"Uh… I'll set up a small arena!"
Gather some rocks and create a circle of them right next to the camp to fight in!

Indy doesn't seem to care and for a moment you could swear he had gem signs in his eyes.
He runs in the 1.right/2.left door with his gold and slams it shut.

That's looking pretty good, even though it's a bit muddy.
Time for some mud wrestling.

Star arrives with a shortsword and steps into the Arena.
She holds it clumsily in front of her.

Roll #1 1 = 1

Slam that door open with all my weight!

Roll #1 10 + 2 = 12

Clumsily? That's no good!
Walk up to her and try to swat it out of her hoof. If her grip isn't strong enough…

Roll #1 9 = 9

Well, poke the fire brighter.

Roll #1 7 = 7

You slam it open and luckily for you it seems this was a ,rather large, closet. Indy sits on the other end on top of his pile of gold.
There are a number of bottles on the racks on the closet. Some of them covered with a cloth. Other open to inspect, though you'd have to look closer to see them clearly.

You slam it out of her hooves easily.
"Hey! Why did you do that?"

It's bright enough.
Begin the summoning?

Yes, start chanting.

"To show you that you need to have a good grip on your weapon, otherwise you'll get disarmed easily! Get a really firm grip on it and stand confidently!"

You chant and chant until the you hear a voice from the fire as if from far away.
"You have called…and I respond…what is it, young Mabel?"

"R-right…good grip, okay."
She tries again '1d10+2'

Roll #1 3 + 2 = 5

Bow my head.
"Lord Pyrrus… I wanted to ask questions, if your time permits to answer me."

I scrunch and unsheathe my dagger.
"That's better, but still not as firm as it should be!"
I slowly approach her.
"Pretend I'm a bad pony threatening you, what do you do in response?"

"There is always time to answer the questions of genuine seekers of knowledge. My servants know how to do their job without me having to supervise them constantly."

"…I don't know. It's a bit hard to imagine you as a bad pony."

"Thank you. My first question is then, where did the volcano go? I feel like I must know."

I bare my teeth at her.

"We have moved it to a location off the coast of Equestria, underwater. The project is proceeding fastly. We are working day and night to get back on schedule."

"That's…cute." She smiles.

I don't care for bottles while my pal is like that!"
"Hey, Indy, slow down now!
What's gotten into you?"
Slowly move towards him.

I nod.
"Thank you for telling me.
Is there any way I could contribute to upholding the Balance?"

"What? No way!"
Maybe I just need to look the same way Vilana looks when she's grumpy, try that! [1d10]

Roll #1 5 = 5

He growls at you.
"My gems!"

"The only real way for a pony to contribute is to live a life in harmony with the Balance. Any great irregularities are not your concern, that is our job to deal with. You should focus your attention towards better understanding the Balance of the Elements, so you can better live in harmony with it.
However, I feel you are already taking steps in that aspect.

You try to look grumpy.
Star giggles "Now you're just silly!"

"No. Not your gems!
They are Bedrock's! That's stealing!"

I scrunch. This isn't working at all! What am I doing wrong?
"Just pretend we're fighting in a real arena then! I advance on you holding a dagger, what do you do in response?"

I nod.
"I recieved a book, and started reading about them. I read about Air recently. Could you tell me more about the Elemental Lords of Air?"

Maybe you're too qt and shiny!
"I grab my sword and do this."
She swings her sword around.

"They are quite different than us. The Breezies are far less prone to violent outbusrst than my servants. But they are shy, very shy. It would take time for one to feel comfortable enough to approach you.
They are a little more friendly towards pegasi and griffons though, because they both love flying.

"But I want the shinies!" Indy's voice has changed a bit, its deeper somehow.

"You want the shinies? You don't deserve the shinies!
Not if you steal them from ponies who earnt them the honest way!
That makes you evil!"

"Don't just swing it around randomly! You'll get tired in no time, any decent opponent could easily exploit that!"

I smile.
"I'm afraid I can't change race, and I wouldn't want to, but can you tell me how to attemp to earn their trust then?"

"The pegasus stallion who went with you to my palace, he is a mage?"

She holds it still.
"I'm ready now."

"But…… I WANT THEM."
He starts grabbing some of the bottles and putting them in his hoard.

Rush him, slam him to the ground.

Roll #1 3 + 2 = 5

"Warren? He know some magic tricks, but I'm not sure to what extents… Why?"

Move in and feint with my dagger!

He grows a bit bigger with the few bottles.
He manages to block you and you're both wrestling for control.
He grits his teeth that are starting to look more like daggers now.
"The shinies are mine!"

"Some mages have the ability to summon the Breezies down to the earth. Neither you nor this Warren are capable of that at this moment. However, there is a spell that could bring you up there. A spell that grants wings, your friend should be able to perform it."

Block '1d10'

Roll #1 8 = 8

She blocks it pretty well.

I nod.
"I'd love to try flying, for sure.
How will he be able to learn this spell?"

"Get it together!
What's wrong with you!?"
Push him down.
He's just out of his mind! He needs time to think!

Roll #1 1 = 1

Good, that's what feints are supposed to do!
While she's distracted, try to sweep her legs from under her.

Roll #1 5 = 5

I believe I was headed to the pot with Vilina, since the mimic mess has been managed.

As you're wrestling for control, the closet swings open again.
There stands Bedrock and if an angry gaze could kill both of you would have been torn to pieces right now.

The fire cracks and a small piece of partially burnt paper flies out.
You catch it and see some runes drawn upon it.

And she '1d10'

You both arrive there.
As Amber said, she put the pot of the fire and it isn't burnt.
Vilina looks at it."Guess we should take a bite as well."
She grabs a bowl and fills it with soup.

Roll #1 10 = 10

She jumps in time and you have almost get swept off yourself!

"I suppose so. At least she took it off the fire before running off."
I'll get myself a bowl as well.

Tackle her! [1d10]

Roll #1 2 = 2

Stare back.
"I've been looking for you!"
And bonk Indy on the head!
"You calm down now!"

Roll #1 1 + 2 = 3

Look around. Is the mimic problem solved?
Where are the others

Look at the note, then back at the fire.
"My deepest thanks, Lord Pyrrus."

You got yourself a bowl of good soup.
It smells delicious.

And she '1d10'

He looks at both of you and a hoof goes into his bag.
"Both of you have exactly 10 seconds to explain to me what both of you are doing here."
His voice is rasp and all the usual merriness is gone from his voice.
Even Indy in his current state seems….uneasy.

star is sparring against Amber, Mabel is near the fire, Soil is gone, Iris is collecting the books. Warren is eating with Vilina.

Roll #1 6 = 6

"I was looking for you! The shield broke! And we found funny-looki-
Wait that doesn't matter! Indy's gone crazy!"

"So, Vilina, I'm not much one for smalltalk, but if you've a question about anything, I'd rather answer that than fumble about for some way to start a conversation."

"Aaaaah, I'll best you!"

That mimic incident really woken up everybody.
Lets go and cheer on Star, coach her on whats to be done against Amber.

Roll #1 8 = 8

"It requires willpower to learn. This Warren will have to concentrate for this spell. Fly into the heavens carrying something as tribute.
The Breezies love colorful flowers. They will come.

"Did he now…he must have gone really crazy to think he can get away with stealing from me…and what are you doing here? Didn't you notice the big Do Not Disturb sign out there?"

"Why are you with these dorks?"

She manages to get the best of you.
She has a cocky grin.
"Amber, stop holding back!"
+2 to Stars next roll because of Snacks cheering.
She attacks with her blade '1d10+2'

You cheer on Star who gets a +2 to her next roll.
As for coaching, you'll have to tell her that.

Roll #1 1 + 2 = 3

"He's just got hungry, I'm getting him out!"
Frown at Bedrock.

Bah! Push her off and pin her down! [1d10]

Roll #1 10 = 10

"You know, sometimes I ask myself the same question."
I'll chuckle.
"But it boils down to a bit of circumstance, and maybe a little friendship."

"Watch out for pony head and front hooves, that is their fast and dextrous part. Dont attack her flank!"
Call out on Star!
"Get out!!"

Roll #1 5 = 5

"I will keep that in mind.
Anything I should avoid with them?"

"Oh, don't worry. I'll handle that." says Bedrock with a grin.
One of the bottles rolls off the shelves into your hooves, there's something inside…something small and moving. You can't see it too clearly.

Amber stops holding back and pushes Star back into the ground.
"I yield! I yield!"

"But they're so….dumb, well perhaps with the exception of mister Bedrock. Your talents could be spent far better…"

"Do not get emotional in any way. The Breezies might seem random and cheerful but they're creatures of pure reason. Anger or happiness is misplaced in their company. Use logic at all times when dealing with them.
Try to get an audience with either the Lord of the South or the East. I know them and they know me, they'll be more lenient with you.

"Whoa now! Hooves off Indy!"
Stand between the… Thing and my dragon pal.

You're referring to Bedrock?

Help her up.
"You got too confident and let your guard down!"

I laugh at the sight of two crystals wrestling each other.
Now all we need is mud….

Anyway stand up and help both of them up.
"That is a goof fight, Snack is amused Start is able to hold back Amber that long."

Nod again.
"I will do so.
Once again, I thank you. It was an honor to be speaking with you again."
Bow before the fire.

I'll let out a small laugh.
"I suppose they are, or at least Soil is. Amber is simply naive, and Snacks is a bit of a fish out of water. But I wouldn't trade them for much of anything. They've saved my life, and I theirs, too many times to just discard them."
I'll take a bite of soup.
"And as for Bedrock, he's a bit conniving, really, and he's full of secrets. I trust him about as far as I can throw an Ursa."

To the thing in the bottle.

The whole thing is mud actually, it's raining.

"Thanks, Snacks."
You're both up.
"Yeah, I'll try to do better next time. You're too strong, Amber."

The voice fades again.

"He's cunning, this Bedrock. You might be right, not to trust him…"

You look better at the bottle and there's a tiny griffon inside it, banging against the glass.
You look up again to see Bedrock blowing a powder over both you and Indy.

Roll #1 2 = 2

"Well, he's also offering his crafting service to us in exchange for errands and guarding him while he travels. We have little choice at this point than to trust him. At least insofar that he won't do something to our gear that we don't want him to."

I grin.
"You'll get better in no time, you've got the talent for it!"

The better
"Both ponies must clean each other up or you two might get catch a cold." I scratch my head.
"Also if Star likes to train, she can ask Snack about pointers of how to fight. If not both pony and dog can spar together."

Look at Amber.
"She did good no?"

"She needs more training! Also, ponies fight differently from how you fight because you have those… paw things."

Stand up and find Warren.

I close my arms together.
"Snack fight ponies before so perhaps Snack can teach her how to fight other races while Amber teaches Star how to fight how a pony fight."

You sneeze and open your eyes again.
You're in the tent of Bedrock, Bedrock is sitting at his table, you and Indy are sitting in front of it.
You have forgotten what happened when you went into the tent up till now. As far as you're concerned you and Indy just went into the tent. You've also got a sudden headache and feel like there's something missing.
Bedrock looks up from counting his money.

"Do you know where he gets all that stuff from? I've never seen such a collection of artifacts."

She blushes. "Thanks."

"What a good idea! But maybe not today, one defeat is enough for me for now."
She smiles.

He's in one of the tents with Vilina.

"No, and honestly I don't think I want to know. His map of that weird labyrinth is enough to give me pause. And enough to make me not trust him with everything I know."

"That's true!"

"Well, I'm going to get back to handing out the soup now. Bye!"
Let's get back to the kettle!

Join them in the tent then.
"Hey, may I join?"

"Oh, hello there. I don't mind much."
I'll look at Vilina a moment.
"Do you?"

This always happens when I slam too much.
"The shield broke!
And we found these inside the books!"
Pull out the mimics' eggs.

I just smile at this and nod.
"As Star wish, its late, very late now ever since you read those books."

"To future sucess!"
Raise my glass with him.

"Sorry to ask at such a moment, but I was wondering if you had heard anything from my family, the Picos, since I've been away."

"What labyrinth?"

Vilina, Warren and Mabel are here.

"Of course not."

He looks it over.
"Mimic eggs. Not really worth much, though they can have fun results when you throw them amidst a pile of books, I once did that when I visited the Library of Cloptantinople.
Always got a few of these in my stash since then."

"Right, I should get back to the tent. Are you coming with me?"

"Ah, not a lot I'm afraid. But I heard there was something going on, some inner trouble. Called the whole family together, they did."
He pauses. "Uh..well most of the family at least, my apologies."

"Not tasty?"

"The one he sent me through to make a delivery, and that he can't enter anymore."
I'll grimace a little.
"Dangerous place, and strange."

Look at Warren, then at her, and raise an eyebrow.
"Some nice manners you have, Miss."

"Hey guys! You found the soup!"

I'll nod.
"I had expected to get back with help before you'd finished, but it seems to have come out alright."

I hesitate for a moment before I nod and follow her. "Pony needs to clean all those mud off you know." I pointed out.

Wave back at Amber as I go and follow Star.
"Perhaps Amber and Snack might have a good fight one day."

I should have expected something like that. I know I am not one of the 'favored' children, but even I should have received notice of anything requiring everyone's presence.

"Well if you guys already helped yourself to dinner, that means I'm free to go pray!"
Take out my book and fine a place where it's dry.

Wave at her with a smile.

"You wanted to eat them? That should work. Though I recommend putting some garlic and cheese on the omellette, it got quite a peculiar taste, or so I've been led to believe.
Now, let me have a look at that shield…"

"What was it like?"

"As do you."

"Oh right."
She grabs a towel and tries to rub some off, but can't quite reach her back.

You were away far. You expect them to make sure to know exactly where you are in a country that they're prepping to go to war with?

Perhaps near the fire?

Grow all happy once I hear that.
"Oh, I got the fire essence! And the Manticore blood!"

That works!
Kneel down and close my eyes.

Lady of love, hear my prayers…

Roll #1 8 = 8

"Well, have fun with that."
I'll wave her as she goes.
I'll think a moment.
"It was mostly long hallways, with curtains over the entrances and an endless number of doors. And it moved while you were in there."
I'll frown.
"But it's not the shifting and getting lost that's the dangerous part. It's what else is in there with you. Or could be in there with you."

"You are right. I don't believe we've been properly introduced. You might know, but I'm Mabel."

"What? They intend to go to war with Equestria? I have to warn them! What's the fastest way there? Is the weather good for flying? SHould I take tunnels?"

"Just my luck. I get back and I might just have to run off again."

"There is still mud here, let Snack help Star out."
Seeing her having troubles I step forward and help her clean herself..

Roll #1 6 = 6

Are you saying that both to the Lord? because I was under the impression that in >>495394
you were talking meta to me

To the Lord. I forgot to use the quotes. Sorry.

"Not just your family of course. The King is, the Great Houses are, as always, well informed. And, while it might be a bit presumptuous of me, but if they did not invite you, they might not want to listen to your counsel."

You help pretty nicely.
"Thanks, Snacks. You're so helpful to me. I wish there was something I could do to repay you."

pls >>495402

Roll #1 7 = 7

"Good…I think we can start some proper crafting soon then." Bedrock grins.

You are filled with a warm feeling in your chest and you know you have the Lady's attention.

"That sounds really, really creepy."

"Vilina." She gives you her hoof. "From Tall Tale."

"Repay? Snack just cleaned Star." I raise an eyebrow before chuckling.
"If pony wants to help, pony can also do the same favor and clean Snacks back."

Shake her hoof.
"I have heard rumors about you, some pleasant, some not so pleasant."

"Confound this."

"I, as much as any other gryphon here, would prefer the ponies be part of Hyperborea. I've been to their lands, each of them lost to lawlessness and whatever strongclaw happens to come by at the time. But, what i'm worried is not about the Equestrians, but of all the beasts their lands seem to be awakening. There have been all manner of monsters that I have dealt with, but even I doubt we could fight off that creature without suffering heavy casualties in a straight battle."

"Ohhh yeah!
And let's fix the skull back!
So, what do we need?"

"It wasn't pleasant, near the end of the trip."

"Pleasant? That would be a first."

"Okay, hold still." '1d10'

The Lord scratches his beak.
"You say there is a creature there that could stand against the combined might of the Griffons? That is quite a claim!"

"We got most of what we need. However, what will we do with those shield pieces? I could fix them, but I seem to recall last time that you made a new one yourself."

"What happened?"

Roll #1 1 = 1

"I died."

She cleans you off very roughly.
I don't think she knows what she's doing.

"Just keep the skull from it!"

Now, go outside and chop down another tree! Time to make myself a bigger, better shield!

Roll #1 8 = 8

Try not to squee.

Please continue to provide me with the divine powers I need to defeat the wicked and heal the wounded. I am but a humble servant of your will, honored to serve you until the end of days. If I stray off this path, punish me so that I may righten myself again. Guide me and my friends among the right path… especially Vilana!

"I believe in impressions more."

Turn my head.
"Excuse me?"

"Yes. Not a fun experience."

"It leveled a good part of a town without noticing, and even direct blows to its heart with my new-found companions seemed to have given it more vigor."

"As much as I believe in the strength of our people, going after it with an army simply means it doesn't have to go far to cause as much damage in one place. Worst of all is that we can no longer locate it. Every tie we felt like we were closing in, another creature appears."

"I can imagine!"

"You're an undead? You seem pretty lively for an undead."

Lots of trees here.
You chomp down one about as big as a large house and 3 times as thick as you. But this way you'll definately have enough, right?

She doesn't answer in words but you are filled with a feeling of total assurance that everything will work out in the end.

"That seems most grave…Dare I ask, I have received some unsettling reports lately. Of an enormous dragon to the south, I didn't put much belief in it. Is this the creature you speak of?"

I just scratch my chin, she really is not that accustomed to living outdoors. Help her and clean myself up.

"Thanks little pony." I stand up and get ready to go back to my tent.
"Does Star need anything from Snack? Just tell Snack about it."

Do I have a tent of my own?

And since I'm strong now, much stronger than before, carve a small big shield!

Roll #1 6 + 2 = 8

"Not… exactly. It seems that the Laughing One didn't want me dead at that exact moment. So I was brought back and summarily booted out. I suppose that beats cluttering up his labyrinth with corpses…"
I'll shake my head.
"The worse part is what killed me."

I smile.
Thank you, Savior!
Put away my book safely and get back up.

"What was it?"

"I pray to the Ancestors that it is. Another one and I daresay our armies are better suited to evacuating the Equestrians to our land and writing the rest off."

"Perhaps if I could reach my family and request some assistance. Even if they write me off, just explaining it as a scouting mission would be beneficial to everyone."

"Me. Only twisted and… wrong."

"Impressions can be deceiving as well. Especially first ones."

Of course you do.
Not a big one of course.
"I'll just go to bed now Snacks." She gives you a kiss on the cheek. "And thanks for everything."

You've got yourself another shield.

She cocks an eyebrow.
"The Laughing One, isn't that the god of parties and clowns?"

You should feel happy, paladin!

"This is very grave news. You know Pico, perhaps we could do some further business together? Do you return for Equestria soon?"

Stroll happily back to Bedrock.

"Don't worry, I know all about that."

"Your inner demon? Your ponified black wolf, so to say?"

"My intention had been to visit the family, but now I am not so sure. If you have any preference, I would be honored to hear them."

"Supposedly. He's also fond of jokes, some of which seem to be of the cosmic variety."
"Not quite. It was me, but if I had chosen some different path. And it came at me over the corpses of several versions of Soil, Amber, and Snacks."

I am happy! Happy and shiny!
I should also try to meditate, get my thoughts sorted.

I wince.
"That must have been terrible…

On a brighter note, I wanted to ask you for something."

"What did you need?"

Stand there for a second before looking back at her.
"Snack is… errr .. ahhhahah…. thanks. Sleep tight Star." I pack what I have and leave for my tent.

Now that we are outside of her tent look around. Is Tulip doing her job or is she in her tent? Also look around on our vicinity if anything is moving.

Roll #1 9 = 9

I perk up as I hear that

"I know it's not an easy or little thing to ask, but-"
Give him the paper with the runes.
"There is still spell I'd like you to learn, and cast it on me. Not right now, but it's very important for me."

"I'll explain later."
I'll raise an eyebrow at the spell, but nod.
"I can't make many promises, but I can try."

I smile.
"I know you'll be able to pull it off. That is part of the reason why I'm asking you."

He's in his tent. And points you to a door on the left.
"There's my mobile workshop put it in there and we'll start."

"Yes…I can feel that. There's something of kinship between us."

"You see mister Pico, we might be alligned to different Houses, but we are both loyal to Hyperborea, are we not? Your family might think less of you, but I can give you what you need to rise in their graces. Connections within the court and money. With my, silent of course, help, they would have to notice you.
And it just so happens that I am in need of an agent I can trust within Equestria."

"That's why I don't like gods. Everything is always so weird with them."

Guess meditation will have to wait.

Tullip is in her tent again.
But everything seems peaceful.

"Is there? Please explain."

Excitedly rush inside with all the materials.

"I'll do my best to not let you down, then."
"True enough. But it's not like you can disbelieve them when they're everywhere."

"What would you have me do?"

"Thank you, Warren. I knew I could count on you."

"Don't thank me yet, I haven't cast the spell."

I just grumbled before going back to my tent and began readying my equipment for tomorrows journey.

Perhaps after that, ready my cot and try to sleep. Wrap my blanket and try not to be cold.
Also good dream

Roll #1 10 = 10

No no… I have to meditate. I'll just ask about it later…

"A friend of mine told me you have the willpower and skill to do so.
And it's not like you can't try more than once, right?"

"Well, assuming that I don't fail too badly, I suppose. I can at least make every effort to succeed on the first attempt."

"It's that look in your eyes.
The look of somepony who's had to fend for herself, whatever the cost, for a long time."

Bedrocks workshop is large. And there are all manners of tools and materials.
You also see the hydra brain hooked up to a large number of tubes and guns in the corner.
Bedrock comes in.
"Now before me start, go over what you need again, to make sure we don't make any mistakes."

"Can you enter Canterlot somehow and meet with a friend of mine?"

You have extremely good dreams about whatever Snacks would dream about.

You meditate and clear your head.
Your mission and its purpose become a little more clear in your head.

Sit down, pondering.
"Hey! Wait! I know what I need!"
Rush out and go back to Iris' room!
Find the book! The one about shields! Flip it around for the bestest shield ever!

Roll #1 6 = 6

One more thing… I forgot to give soup to Tullip! Go do that!

I chuckle.
"I'd thank you somehow, but I don't know how."

"That is true, yes. Life can get hard on you, but giving up is not an option."

Perhaps fill my dream of something revolving around defending everyone from a dragon or something.
Wake up the next day.

"Let's just put it on a tab."

"I should have no difficulty, unless something else has happened. I have papers for the contracts I've done for many there if they ask for proof of my words or work. If all else fails, did we not have an Ambassador or Consulate there?"

"I hope they are doing alright, since I've left them behind for some time already."

"I owe you a favor then. You know where to find me."

Too tired to continue.

You dream of exploring a large underground cave with Star.
She uses her magic to find gems while you dig them up. You make the perfect team and she's so happy when you dig up another one.
She charges the gems until they shine the most beautiful of colors and you both swim merrilly around in the heaps of countless gems.

I just hug my blanket and smile, feeling happy and content inside my tent beneath the pouring rain.
Thanks for running.

[-Leaf Green-
Tha famous shield of the legendary shaman Leaf Green was said to have been made out of wood, yet extraordinarily resistant to all types of damage including fire.
According to the legend, Leaf Green once traveled to the edge of the world where he found a tree the size of a small mountain.
The tree spoke to him and after a brief while, impressed by Leaf Greens wisdom, gave him the honor of cutting his smallest branch. Out of this branch Leaf Green carved this mighty shield.
Others claim the shield was merely enchanted by a powerful geomancy spell.

Tullip is in her tent, reading a book.
She's supposed to be on watch.

"Yes, there is a consulate there. And that's EXACTLY why I need someone like you."

"Hey! I brought soup! … Aren't you supposed to be standing guard, miss Tullip?"

Is the rain starting to get up?
Will Vilana answer?

Sorry, missed Vilina there.
It's slowly stopping.
"I am not one to give up. Not here, not ever."

She reaches for it.
"Great, thanks. And I am standing watch. I just don't feel like standing in that damn rain."
She takes a taste of the soup.

Well, let's take a gander at that scroll Mabel passed me. If she plans on having me cast it, I'll need to know how.

Maybe the rain brought out some nice flowers too.
"It's just a matter to how you handle your mistakes."

"But how can you watch anything from inside here?"

The scroll details how to cast the spell.
It seems pretty straightforward, except for one detail. The spell requires a certain skill in the Air element.
You can either
>Try to force it (DC8 to cast properly)
>Spend an SP to learn Air element
>Talk to Star or Bedrock about magical trinkets to aid you.

"Mistakes? What I did wasn't a mistake, it was society that forced me into that life, branding me with a crime I didn't commit."

"I can still hear if there's somepony out there right."

"But the sound of rain can block out most of the noise!"

"Mistake was probably the wrong word, yes…
Unfortunate circumstances would be more fitting."

Hmm. Well, Ice is just a combination of water and air elements, so perhaps it wouldn't be too difficult to pick it up.
I'll flick an ear at that.
"Well, at least now you've got a chance to start fresh. Not many ponies get that chance."

"A record is forever."

"You could say that. I haven't been able to travel freely or say who I am for so long."

She flicks her ear.
"…Uh…nono I can definately hear it."

I just scrunch at her.
"You shouldn't shirk your duties, miss Tullip!"

"You can only appreciate freedom once you've lost it, right?"

"Perhaps, but it's not like your average every-pony would have access to it. Once we're done, you could find a nice town, settle down, open a small apothecary… a mare of your talent should have no trouble finding honest work."

"But I shouldn't have lost it. I was framed. You think I liked leading that drug smuggling ring in Tall Tale? No, but there was no other type of work for ponies branded like me.
And I was pretty good at it, if I say so myself."

"Who would trust me? You ponies don't even trust me."

"I'm not! I just…do it my own way. Nothing wrong with that!"

"It's not efficient at all! I'll just take over from you then, if you don't want to do it properly."
I huff and walk out. Go over to the campfire and stand guard.

"Sometimes you have to do things you didn't want to, and get good at it, yes.
And I may not trust you just yet, but I understand you."

"Well, that's due to circumstances of our meeting."
I'll shrug.
"A moderately large town far enough away from Tall Tale would have no idea who you are. Besides," I'll give a small smile. "I think they'll come around eventually."

She huffs.
"Fine, I can do it.
I'll prove it."
She grumbles as she puts on her armor and stands next to the campfire.
"Now we're both wet!"

"I know you do, Mabel."

"Why would they? And it still wouldn't clear my name in my hometown."

"Well at least somepony is looking out so the others can relax!"
I stick out my tongue at her.

"I'm glad we understand each other then."
Smile at her.

She huffs.
"That's so uncouth"

She simply nods.
"So…I heard you worked in the circus, Mabel?"

"What does that even mean!?"

I nod.
"Yup, that I did!
I did duelist shows, but my main attraction was sword swallowing."

"Like you said, some of them aren't quite the brightest brand in the fire, so they tend to put stock in actions. So long as you are friendly with them, they'll grow to like you in turn. It will take a while, certainly, especially for Soil since he's got a rather black and white view of things, but it'll happen. Amber's already trying, after all."
I'll readjust my monocle.
"And let's be honest, do you even want to go back to your hometown? Because if clearing yourself there is that important to you, we might be able to convince Bedrock into taking a detour if we end up going that way."

Turn around.
"BEDROCK! Where is the edge of the world?"

"It means that it's not dignified! I thought you were a paladin?"

"Impressive, I always liked seeing sword swallowers…"

She waves her hoof.
"Nah, I just hope one day I get some revenge on those bastards."

"Have you ever been to the sea?"

"The best revenge, I've heard, is living well."

"I… I'm an initiate, but I'm getting there! And I am dignified, don't be so mean!"

"In Tall Tale!
And Near the farm, there was sea!"

"You did?"

"Whoever said that never got revenge the old fashioned way."

"Pfft. You'll never be a paladin if you keep acting so childish! You're more like a big filly instead of a paladin."

"Well, you know how the sea is really big right. Well, if you get all the way to the end, that's the edge of the world there.
Been there once….Quite an amazing sight."

She nods.
"Ponies who can do that must have great control over their body."

"Okay, we gotta run there!"

"It takes donkeys a lot of practice too."

I gasp and push her.
"I'm an adult, a grown mare! Don't call me a filly! You're just a… a big jerkface with a fancy tent!"

"Old-fashioned revenge is a bit overrated, really. Trust me on that."
I'll stand up.
"Now, I need to see Star about a book, so I'll leave you two ladies to chat."
Tucking the scroll in a spot it won't get wet, I'll head out of the tent in search of Star. If I pass Tulip on the way, I'll say hello.

Wave at him.

Now he looks over his shoulder.
"We do?"

"Who doesn't have to practice a lot?"
The rain is stopping.

She pushes back.
"Don't you push me, you baby!"

She and Amber are pushing each other near the campfire.

Turn the book around and show him.
"Best. Shield. Ever!"

I'll watch for a moment. Maybe I can hear what this is all about.

"People who are really lucky?"
Glance outside at the stopping rain.
"Say, have you ever picked flowers?"

Is the plot going to move today? I'd like to play.

"Don't call me a baby, you bitch!"

Roll #1 7 = 7

He takes a look at it.
"Leaf Green? That cheeky bastard, he never got to the edge of the world. He could barely sail a ship."

"I'm…not much of a flower pony."

The plot can move on the moment people want.
The Elemental threat has already been defeated however.
I'll be running for about 1 hour and 40 minutes more.

"Hey wh-"

Roll #1 7 = 7

You both fall over in the mud.
"Oh you little…you got my clothes all dirty!"

"But… The book!"

"Do you want to try? I want to assemble a nice little bunch for some very special creatures."

Okay, I think that's far enough.
"What on earth is going on here?"

Stay on top of her
"Apologize! Apologize right now!"

"Amber! What is going on?"

"You really want to go to the edge of the world?
Don't you have that crazy dragon thing to kill still?
Besides old Leaf never got to the edge of the world, he was a big boaster to everypony….I mean, that's what I heard at least."

"Take this"
Bitchslap '1d10'

Roll #1 3 = 3

Stand up, and offer her a hoof to stand up as well.
"It's really relaxing. I bet you will enjoy it."

I perk up and look at him.

Roll out of the way!

Roll #1 6 = 6

"So maybe the three is still there!"

You quickly dash out of the way but Tullip seems all riled up now.
She tries to jump you and push you down '1d10'
"I'll get you for that, you brat!"

Bedrock facehoofs.
"Okay, let's take this slowly. Soil, you want a shield like this, correct?"

She takes your hoof and gets up as well.
"Well I don't have anything else to do…"

Roll #1 7 = 7

Stir up in my bed.
Whats happening?

Nod hard and quick.

Use my hooves to shield myself!

Roll #1 7 = 7

"Maybe we can talk while we are at it."

Let's leave the tent.

Looks like I'm not going to get an answer. I guess I'll let them get it out of their system.

What's happening right now?

You hear some fighting outside.

"And you want it as fast as possible correct?"

You wrestle but neither of you can get the upper hoof for now.
Rolling for Tullip '1d10'

You leave the tent and see Tullip and Amber wrestling in the mud while Warren watches.

>Mabel and Vilina are going to pick flowers, however Mabel is also busy with Warren to work on a spell to fly.
>Warren is watching Mabel and Tullip wrestle.
>Soil is talking to Bedrock in Bedrock magic tent/high-security vault full of shinies.

Roll #1 1 = 1

I look at them stunned.
"Amber? Tullip? What's going on here?"

Nod again.

Amber and Tulip.
And it's in the mud. Once they've finished making a mess of themselves, I'll ask what it's all about.

Go and grab my axe and go outside. Whats happening?

I'll get the upper hand!

Roll #1 9 = 9

"You know, I asked the same question, and was summarily ignored. I was letting them get it out of their systems before asking again."

So there is a time-split?

"What are they doing?"

No, the wing spell is not actually getting worked on right now, it's just another thing that's going on

Roll my eyes.
"Warren, for pete's sake."

"I don't know, but I'm not waiting for somepony to get hurt to find out."

I try to force them apart with my TK.
"Stop it you two!"

Roll #1 5 = 5

I perk up and jump back to my hooves.

"Well, before going all the way to the edge of the world to go looking for a tree that might or might not be there, why don't we see if we can't enchant and create such a shield ourselves, here, fast?"

Amber is pushing Tullip in the mud.

You get on top of Tullip and push her face down in the mud.
She grumbles "…sorry."

You don't really get them off each other.

"No kidding? I meant why are they doing that."

I keep trying.

Roll #1 10 = 10

"Now, can one of you please tell me what this is about?"

"Come here right this instant!"
Point to the ground before me.

And I thought something serious is happening.
I put my axe down and approach the group.
"What is meaning of this?" I fold my arms.

Quick, pick her back up!
"O-Oh no! I'm sorry! That was really un-paladinlike of me! I shouldn't… I shouldn't have gotten so angry!"

"Uh… well-"

I droop my ears and walk over to Mabel.

You get both of them of each other.
The fight seems over already though.

"She attacked me!" pouts Tullip.

"Now, the others are curious too, what was that all about?"

I just smile at the idea of them fighting in the mud,
I then look at Amber.
"Is Tulip pony saying is true?"

"Okay, now why did she attack you? I came in at the name-calling stage."
"Not the whole truth, I think. But Amber did throw the first punch."

"I wanted to know why Tullip wasn't standing guard outside so I told her that she shouldn't shirk her duties… then I went outside to guard the camp myself and Tullip came after me. And… she called me a big baby so I got a little mad… and then I got carried away… Sorry."

"Where you trying to hit her to be her friend?"

"She told me I was a bad guard! I just responded in kind!"

I sigh.
"I know you find that subject touchy, Amber, but when have conflicts ever lead to anything good? Especially between friends?"

I shake my head.
"That wasn't even a thing…"

I look at the rain and yawn.
"Shouldnt all of pony sleep now? Forgive and forget, Snack will do the guarding if no one wants too."

I just look at her but dont comment

"According to her you were standing guard inside the tent. Usually one stands guard outside the tent. Is this true?"

"I'm sorry Mabel… I know I overreacted."

"Amber's right. If you are guarding you stand outside the tent. That's how they do it in the books."

"Why do you care so much about being a baby?"

"Well….yeah, but I was listening very well, and I looked out of the window! That's no reason to attack me!"

I scrunch.
"Because I'm an adult, a grown mare! I'm not a filly anymore!"

I'll shake my head.
"Guard duty isn't comfortable, Tulip. No matter the weather, you need to stand guard outside your tent."
"If that were true, Amber, you wouldn't have attacked Tulip over a few harsh words."

"Adults don't get to fights over insults. Not serious adults anyway."
Be stern.

"She was wrong to attack you, but she was right. Guard duty is very important. It could cost us very dearly if something gets into the camp that has no reason to be in there. You understand, don't you?"

Blink a few times.
"We grow a bigger tree?"

I just huff a bit irritated.

I look at her getting more irritated.
"Snack gets woken up by antics done by a filly if Amber dont recognize."

"I just gave her a little push… It escalated so quickly!"

"… What?"

"That's how conflicts go, Amber. I thought better of you."

"So why do you care if she calls you a filly? It's just words."

"Amber is not a filly but from what Snack is hearing this is not the case."

Tullip looks fiercely at the 3 of you.
But then lowers her head.
"…I understand." she says.

Bedrock opens his mouth, but pauses.
Then closes it again and thinks for a long time.
"You know, that wasn't what I was going to say…but yeah, that would be a great idea!"

"I know I shouldn't but… Nopony ever takes me seriously!"

I hang my head sadly.

"So let's start it right now!"

I then yawn and stretch a bit.
"Now if no one wants to guard then Snack will do it. Any of you disagree?"

I'll pat her on the back.
"Good. Now, since this is cleared up, why don't you and Amber warm up a bath, and then relax? It was about time to change shifts anyway."

"It's okay so long as you both learn your leason."

"Thank you. Please, be more responsible, for the sake of all of us."

"You know that is not true, Amber."
I frown.
"I'd like you to think about what you did."

I scrunch at her, then shake my head and walk away.

"Right, right. No time to waste.
Allright, lemme think. Go fetch me some seeds and meet me outside."

Tullip just keeps her head low.
"Yes, I'll try to do better…"she says monotonely.
She then starts walking towards her tent.

I take a deep breath, then shake my head.
Turn back to my flower-picking-partner.
"Sorry about that. Let's find those flowers, shall we?"
Find some pretty flowers.

Roll #1 3 + 1 = 4

Happily trot off to the closest apple tree and buck an apple off it.

Roll #1 9 = 9

I'll watch her go for a bit.
"She'll be fine. Really."
And then back on Star's trail.

She helps '1d10'
"Are you sure you weren't too hard on little Amber?"

Multiple apples for you. Big red ones.

You feel a cold shiver running over your back.
It feels like the one you felt from that cube.
But Warren should have destroyed that one by now….

You feel a chill going over your back.
As if it suddenly got colder…
There's a noise coming from the bushes.

She did seem rather angry.
You find Star working on the tablets.
'Hey Warren, what was all that noise?"

Roll #1 2 = 2

Not too many flowers around here.
"The mud doesn't seem too good for flowers."

Start chewing on a few of them and go back to bedrock with the seeds.

Roll #1 1 = 1

I look around for Warren.

Roll #1 8 = 8

Can I at least clean myself up a little before sleeping?

Roll #1 2 = 2

"Amber and Tulip got into a bit of an argument. I'm going to need to check on Tulip afterwards, since she seemed more than a little down about things."
I'll shake my head.
"But that's beside the point. I needed to ask you about air elements."

"huh?" Look and investigate.

Roll #1 5 = 5

"Seems not. Maybe we should wait try a bit later then. The rain was good for most flowers to grow at least."
Then sigh.
"Maybe I was, but maybe it will make her realize violence is not a good idea to solve everything."

"Is there something going on with our Consulate?"

You choke on one of the apples and yadadada apple prince, blablablabla space yadadada dragon king blabla long story short, you arrive back with your seeds. Bedrock is standing in a small clearing.
In his hooves he's carrying a flask with a bubbling neon green liquid inside.
Bedrock nods smiling. "Got those seeds?"

You find him in Stars tent.

Everything is dirty, Tullip had a nice bath however…

"Sure, what do you want to know?"

You look through the bushes…but nothing there.
There's another noise a little further into the woods.

You start feeling uneasy.
Your shaman sense is tingling..roll.

"Yes. And no. The current situation with Equestria is such that we're not sure if we can still trust couriers entering Canterlot to talk to our consolate. Messages could be intercepted and read. That's why I might need someone like you to carry those messages instead. Talk to my agent there and help if needed.
And by the ancients, don't get yourself caught by the Equestrians."
He corks open another bottle.
"What say you, Queren of the Pico clan?"

Looking back at the camp, I made my way further into the bushes while laying low.
Hunter track etc.

Roll #1 3 = 3

"Got a bit lost behind Ponhercules' columns…"
Hoof him the seeds!

"Of course. How could a Pico refuse an order from a Lord?"

Oh boy…
Should I? Already? … Ah sure. I shouldn't get so sore about this. Go knock on Tullip's door.

Roll #1 4 + 1 = 5

I stand outside the tent.
"Warren? Did you ever do anything to that thing I gave you?"

"What I'd need to know to cast this spell."
I'll hoof over the parchment.
"I was hoping you could give me a few pointers on Air element magic."
I'll pause a moment.
"…Excuse me, Star, this will take just a moment."
Leave the tent briefly.
"I tried to dump it in the elemental plane of fire. Unfortunately, it was either the cube, or moving the volcano, so it's still with us. Mabel has it for now, since it started talking to me."

"…it started talking to you?"

You try to reach the bushes quietly but when you near it each time the thing seems to have moved a bit further already.

You can't quite place it.
Vilina continues "But I've seen how Amber looks up to you, and she's so sensitive, she might take it a lit-"
She stops and looks into the forest as well.
She sniffs the air and looks at you worried.
"Do you feel that?…there's something…in these woods."

"Good lad. There's griffon called Grimholde in the Consolate. She's my agent. Watch out for her. She's much stronger than she looks."
He grins as he gives you another glass of mead.

No answer. The door isn't locked though.

"That really depends on what you intend to do with it."

Did you just hear a whisper?

"Excellent. Stand back. This will be tricky!"

Damn it since the thing knows that I am near better go at it with all bluster, an axe in my hand and thunder in my heart!
While scaring it in the process(I hope)
Run and catch whatever it is!

… Open the door slightly and peek in.
"… Miss Tullip?"

Roll #1 8 = 8

"I'll have t hold my tongue after this one. I' still worried that there might not be an Equestria to go back to with all those beasts we've run into."

"Besides the current plan, has there been any other news coming from the capital? I'm still in the dark regarding the vast majority of going-ons."

I'll nod.
"It told me that I was making a mistake after dropping it in some of the surface lava. In a way, it was right, since that didn't work."
Warping forward to after the talk with Shortcake.
"Mabel asked me to cast this spell for her. It needs a wind element, and I was hoping you could help with it."

"I feel something.
Stay alert."
Sneak towards the forest.

Roll #1 1 + 1 = 2

Did I?

"It didn't work? Really? are you sure?"

Roll #1 10 = 10

"Considering it's sitting in Mabel's pack? Yes, I'm fairly sure it didn't work."

"Uhh, alright. Thanks. Did it say anything else?"

'Not to me. But I don't know about anyone else aside from when it 'attacked' Amber. So be careful."

Bedrock puts in the ground and grasps the cork…
"Wait…I just thought of something. Soil you're like a shaman right?"

You run through the bushes screaming LALALA. Until you go through another bush and suddenly see Mabel…and a giant black iron pony with green glowing eyes carrying a scythe. It does not seem to have good intentions for Mabel.

You push the bushes aside and stand face to face with a giant black iron pony. Its green eyes glow coldly and before you can respond it raises its scythe and hits you across the face.
You are helpless.
Vilina looks in shock "What the…"

You did…in the back of your mind.
But it grows silent again.
You suddenly hear movement and shouting in the forest.

"A few months ago, a more radical faction of one of the Houses tried unsuccessfully to dethrone our King. Ever since it's all pretty hush-hush. These are dark times, young one. There are things moving, forces at work, not just here in Hyperborea, in Equestria too. Griffons are sticking to themselves. Even in Houses and families, there is little trust."

I stealthily run over to the forest.

Roll #1 9 = 9

Tullip is making squeeks of pain in one of the rooms. The door is open.

Follow the… squeaks?
"M-Miss Tullip? Are you okay?"

"MABEL!" Draw my crossbow and fire a bolt at the iron pony who attacker her.
Sentried Marksman shot

'Were any of the Conspirators made public? They could be planning a second try, or other forms…"

"Ugh, I thought I had left this all behind in Equestria and I'd have a moment to relax near our lands, but it seems I've just run into the same problems. At least we've been able to keep things stable here. Much of Equestria is ruled by whatever gangs decide to run the place."

And now that that talk is dealt with, back to the proper timestream. Though Shortcake did run off rather alarmingly quickly.

Roll to the side and jump up to my hooves!

Roll #1 7 = 7

"So the book says."

You arrive just in time to see Mabel getting attacked by a giant black iron pony with green glowing eyes, carrying a big scythe.

You get up. Theforest is screaming at this thing…this abomination…this thing that should not exist. It is against everything nature stands for and advances slowly towards you.
Eyes set on your bag.

You find in the bathroom, dripping wet.
Part of her coat is still dirty.

You hit the iron pony masterfully but it does little to stop its advance.

"I've heard some names, but I doubt the real ones have been caught. Just puppets, as always. As I said, these are strange times. Don't you feel it Pico? I feel it. I see it.
There's something going on…something big. Something out there is trying to set pony against pony, griffon against griffon…"

"Have you ever cast an air element spell before?"

"Well, could you try to talk to the seeds? Tell them that this stuff will make them grow and that they should grow big. If you're really a shaman, they'll understand you."

"What? I can't talk to plants!"

"Ice is… close right? Combining air and water?"

I blind it!

"Run for help!"

Roll #1 5 + 2 = 7

I shake my head and draw my long and shor rapiers.
"Ohoho, don't even think about it."
Backstab, find a weak spot in the armor.

Roll #1 8 + 2 = 10

"I can handle myself!"

Oh no you dont!
Go and tackle this guy

Roll #1 5 + 2 = 7

"Maybe I will take that extra drink if it's available. Right nw, sticking to doing y duty seems the safest and sanest course of action in this world. Let's hope they get caught."

I jump in surprise.
"I-I just wanted to see if you were okay! And uh… I wanted to say sorry again too. Are you… hurt?"

"How about you just give it a try? If it doesn't work, it won't hurt."

"Uh…close but still far…far off. But if it's just one spell, I could try to charge one of your gems for one spell. It would act as a focus for that spell."

The dirt doesn't seem to affect the Iron Pony.

You roll to avoid its whirling scythe and stab it in a crevice of the outer shell.
It doesn't speak or react but the sparks tell you, you hit something.

You try to bring it down but the creature is too strong. It pushes you back.

"Indeed. Let me hand you something."
He hands you a seal.
"This seal will show the griffons of the consolate that you're an agent of mine.
…and tell your employer I'm extremely happy with this timely delivery."

"N-no… It's just…this dirt, its clitting my coat and it hurts a bit to get it off."
She glares at you.
"Because you pushed me in that mud."

Grumble and snort a bit, rolling my eyes.
Look down at the seed.
"This is stupid…"

Tap it once.
"You awake there?"

Roll #1 9 = 9

"Where did you come to know about that pony? I never even suspected him of having come this far out."

I huff before looking at Mabel and Vilana.
"What is this thing?!" I grit my teeth before firing another shot at it again!.
Marksman shot

I also shouted!
"Invader is attacking the camp!!"

Roll #1 3 = 3

"Aim at the cracks in the armor!"

Pull my rapier back and jab again!

Roll #1 2 = 2

"It might just be easier to learn the basics of the element itself. That way, I won't have to bother you with this if I run across another air-element spell."
I'll idly adjust my wings.
"I'm sure you could be an apt teacher."

Monkey Agility/Duelist that

Roll #1 5 = 5

I try to get behind it and stab it.

Roll #1 1 = 1

I look down in shame.
"I'm very sorry for that… I went overboard completely. I just get upset easily when ponies call me… that. I know it's stupid of me, but it just does!"

"I never met him personally. He just works through middle men mostly. But another griffon traveler who worked for him told me about Zenith and I must say I'm not disappointed."

It makes a babylike sound.

Its scythe swings around hitting you across the chest.

You barely manage to evade its whirling scythe.
The forest screams in pain, it's deafening.

"I could be able to help sure."
Spend an SP to learn Lightning?

You try to sneak up when the Iron Pony turns around faster than you could expect and slashes you.

She glares, but then looks down.
"Yeah…I guess I was acting pretty stupid too…"

Shortcake 0/4 HLPLS
Mabel 5/4
Snacks 1/4

The Iron pony is becoming more ethereal.

Attack using the axe given to me by Poor Soil.

Roll #1 4 = 4

"Hey, it kinda… Said something?"

Back to the seed!
"You gonna grow big and quick right now!"

Pat the ground beneath me.
Shhhh… I'll end it.
Jump forward and jab again!

Roll #1 4 + 1 = 5

"Do you need help getting cleaned?"

I try to stab it.

Roll #1 10 = 10

The axe goes straight through the ethereal form.
And his scythe goes straight through you.
You're helpless.

It makes a babylike sound again.

It kicks you to the ground easily.

"Eh….if you want to help…I'm not used to this…" She looks a bit uncertain.
"I used to have servants to clean my coat properly."

You are helpless but get up like a boss.

The Iron Pony form becomes even more ethereal, flickers and disappears back into the Warp FOR NOW.

"It's the least I can do to make up for it!"

Rolling not to cry.

Roll #1 5 = 5

"Uh… You.. Like.. Ready?
Do that twice if it's okay!"

"Arrgghhh,,, is everyone okay?" I look at Mabel and Vilana
I tried to stand up.

Roll #1 1 = 1

"Are you?"
Natural Remedy on him!

How is Nature holding up?

Roll #1 4 + 1 = 5

You're not crying, but your eyes aren't dry either.

It peeps '1d3' times.

Motherfucker, that thing hit you good, your spine feels like the tower of pisa right now.

You're too shaken to make a proper potion.
Nature is calming down again but it will take time for the grass to become calm again.
Vilina walks over. "The fuck was that?"

Roll #1 1 = 1

Lead her back to the bath or whatever and gently turn her into a clean pone again through the power of soap and water.

Roll #1 9 = 9

Try to at least help Snacks up.
"I… I don't know. It was anything but natural. I heard the surrounding forest scream in agony."

Roll #1 7 + 1 = 8

"Snack feels tired…. but holding." I grimaec a bit at the potion being swabbed at me as I tried to stand up.

I shake my head.
"Snack dont know, Snack thought it is a large game so Snack stalked it for food but didnt know it is something… liek that."

Roll #1 8 = 8

Look sad at Bedrock.
"It says he doesn't wanna."

"Are you two alright?"

"It was definitely not a game from the forest…"

Place a hoof on my face where it got me with the schyte.
"For the most part."

I nod at Shortcake.
"Snack is holding out, how about Cake pony?"
Is she hurt?

"My servants used to do this…I didn't know it was that hard to clean a coat without it hurting…"
She's a nice clean pone again, but you're not.

He's up.

You get up.

"WHAT? Nonsense. Once he got a taste of this, he'll change his mind."
Bedrock uncorks the bottle and spills the contents all over the seeds.
The seeds make a strange sound. There's pain…and euphoria?
Bedrock quickly throws some dirt over it as the liquid hisses and bubbles and the seeds start expanding.
"Okay, stand back." says Bedrock with a grin."this is the fun part."

The ground starts trembling furiously.

"that's good."

"It cut me."

"Uh… why is the ground trembling? Earthquake?"

"What the heck Bedrock!"
Steer clear of… This!

Well, that's unexpected. Hope Star doesn't have any sort of towers of books that I need saving her from.

"Well at least nothing bad happend to Shortcake." I grin.

I nod at this.
"We must break camp if we want to…"

"W.. what?!"

The ground shakes, tears and faster than can be believed an apple tree grows out of the ground, stretching bigger and higher than any apple tree around. Before a minute passes it already stretches a few hundred meters into the sky.

Both of you manage to not get swept up by the rapidly growing tree.
And are still on the ground.

You are unlucky enough to be swept up by your clothes. You're hanging on a giant branch of the tree, 60 metres in the air.

You keep looking at the ground and when the tree finally rapidly emerges you are immediately swept with it. You end up near the top of the tree in the branches.

The tree is now blossoming and full of giant flowers.

Roll #1 10, 3, 1, 4, 8 = 26

Oh dear. Is Star alright? I was in her tent…

"W-What is going on!?"

Look up at the tree.
"I have no idea!"

Nature, are you going cray cray again?

Star manages to stay down on the ground.
Indy is at the same height as Soil
Tullip got swept up nearly immediately and is nowhere to be seen.
Iris is on a branch near the middle of the tree wondering what the hell just happened.
Vilina got swept up as well but with some careful jumping managed to stay low enough to talk to you.
Half of the camp tents and equipment got swept up as well.
Bedrock is near the trunk of the tree down.

Walk over to him!
"You wouldn't happen to know anything about this, would you, Bedrock?"

O-Oh no! Tullip! I was just talking to her!
"Tullip! Tullip!"

Dislodge myself. Need to fly around and take stock.
"Is everyone alright!? Where did this absurd tree come from?"

He grins.
"I do! Pretty awesome isn't it."

She's nowhere to be seen. You'd have to climb the tree to find her.

"Ah mister Warren!" shouts Bedrock. "No worries, it's all under control."
Vilina manages to get down "So this is YOUR doing?" she bares her teeth at Bedrock.
Bedrock seems unintimidated "A beauty!"

Climb it then! Ditch my armor, quick!

Roll #1 8 = 8

Grimace at him.
Hearing Amber yelling, I'll fly around the tree looking for Tulip as well.
"Tulip? Tulip! Yell if you can hear me!"
Looking '1d10'

Roll #1 3 = 3

"Impressive for sure, but I haven't seen any tree like it. Not to mention how fast it grew.
Not to mention it grew under our camp."

He waves it away.
"Unfortunate and unexpected side-effect of the product. But we'll get our tents back. Now if you'd kindly follow Ambers example to climb the tree. There's only so much time until the Giant Apples blossom and we can harvest them."
He grabs a rope.

You ditch your armor and start climbing the tree. You meet Iris midway.
"A-amber? What happened?!?"

No response…

I sigh.
"We'll have to talk about this."
Start climbing.

Roll #1 4 + 1 = 5

"I have no idea, but I need to find miss Tullip first!"
Keep climbing!

Roll #1 5 = 5

Looks like I'm going to be starting from the top down.
"Tulip! Tulip!"

Roll #1 8 = 8

Shout towards the others below.
Can you heaaar me?

"Talk later, more climbing."
He jumps up the tree and climbs away with surprising speed.
He isn't visible anymore when you reach Iris.

You're further up the tree.
Here you reach the blossoms, you're greeted by the intense sweet smell of the flowers.

You see Soil and Indy, who's waving at you.

Roll if they hear you.
Warren is around however.

"Hey Indy, how ya think we gonna get down? Wanna jump?"

Roll #1 7 = 7

"Soil, have you seen Tulip? She disappeared when this tree popped up out of nowhere!"

No time for distractions! Higher!

Roll #1 2 = 2

Others can hear your voice.

Indy shakes his head quickly.

Have I seen Tulip?
"Hey pal, you know the way down?"

Roll #1 2 = 2

There's little branches to grab around here to get higher.
You do notice a small hole in the tree bark. Maybe you could climb in there?

No, of course you haven't.

Keep climbing!
Anyone in trouble?

Roll #1 3 + 1 = 4

Whatever works! Go! Go! Go!

Roll #1 7 = 7

Wanna see what's on top, Indy? This is gonna make one heck of a shield!"

"Climbing, unless you have wings. Now I really need to find Tulip, Soil, so I can't quite ferry both of you around at the moment. I should be able to carry Indy with no problem, though."

"We can climb. Not like you could lift me."

"Not easily, anyway. Especially in full armor. But if you're fine, I'll leave you to it."
I'll zip off.
"Tulip! Where are you!?"
Fly around the tree and slowly work my way down in a bit of a spiral, pausing every so often to see if Tulip is making any noise. '1d10'

Roll #1 2 = 2

You come across your tent. Roll for its state.

You go into the hole, it becomes darker.
Suddenly you start seeing green lights on the walls….

He nods. "But…let's be careful…please?"

You don't see her. You do see Amber entering part of the tree through a hole.

The blossoms are withering and small apples start to form.

Start climbing!
Oh, and since you mentioned it, pick an apple!

Roll #1 3 + 2 = 5

Uh… Keep climbing?

Roll #1 9 = 9

Roll #1 9 = 9

To the hole. Maybe she ended up in there? Poke my head inside and start calling out.
"Tulip? Tulip, are you in here?"

The passage splits 2 ways, right or left.
The green lights conveniently help…whatever those things are. Those lights are even moving a bit…slowly.
You hear Warren calling out behind you.

No response but you do see Amber.
The passage seems to be lit by small green, moving lights on the wall.

It's in great condition!
There's a small hole in the tree bark close to you.

The apple fits in your hoof as you pluck it, the others are growing big however, soon they're as big as you and still growing!

You find the top of the tree and have a marvelous view of the surrounding forest, there's the ruined church with the statue, there's Shardstone, there's Mt. Laurelia with Canterlot on it on the horizon. There's a small village not too far from here you didn't visit before.
And there's something else, something large seems to be moving through the forest towards the tree. You can't quite see what, but the trees are bending at its passage.

No time to lose! Go right!
"Warren, take the other path!"

Roll #1 2 = 2

Great. Catch up to Amber.
"Have you found Tulip yet?"

Guess not. Down the left path I go.

Uh… Narrow my eyes and put a hoof over my head to see into the distance?

Roll #1 10 = 10

And rolling in case I need to. '1d10'

Roll #1 6 = 6

Bedrock can harvest his apples, it's time for exploration of that small home!

Roll #1 7 + 1 = 8

You take a good look and see something big, shiny and looks like a bear.
It looks like that Ursa Minor from Iris' books!

The green lights suddenly jump of the wall and start flying around, one approaches you and makes a chirping sound.
It's getting a bit bigger too, it's starting to look like a small flying ball…

You go in and see all kinds of flying orbs in it.
Wait…that's no orb. Oh lawd, it's parasprites.

"Huh? What's this thingy?"

Gulp and jump in surprise!
"Indy! The big bear! We gotta tell the others!"
Climb down!
"Hey! The big bear is coming this way!"

Roll #1 10 = 10

That's no good.
Stay cautios.

"A problem on our hooves."

"What an odd thing. Don't suppose you've seen another pony in here? A mare, but not the one I followed in."

It's so cute!
It then starts to eat from the walls, and so do all its friends!
Eating quite a lot for such a tiny thing….

You get down to the passage they're in a heartbeat. And you shout it to all of them.

The things are more concerned with munching on the tree.

They seem more concerned with eating the tree for now.
But a group of parasprites this big?
You might want to find Tullip quick before they eat the tree from under you.

"Hey, everypony! We should leave, now!"

Head down the way as fast as possible.
"Tulip! Tulip, can you hear me!?"

Roll #1 6 = 6

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"Uh… we really need to find miss Tullip already!"

Roll #1 4 = 4

"The more they eat, the more of them there will be!"

"We should!"
Can I spot Tulip?

Roll #1 5 + 1 = 6

"So we just gotta kill all of 'em bugs and find Tulip?"

"I'm not sure we have the time, they are fast and elusive! Saving Tullip first, then our other problems later!"

"Wait, they will eat anything?"

"Mostly just regular food, but judging by how they eat the trees now, they seem to be very hungry."

You hear a cry for help from the left tunnel!
It's Tullip.

The light parasprites are munching away and starting to multiply.

Better run for Tullip, down the dark tunnel…where nightmares become reality…

Whelp, time to run for the core!

Roll #1 4 = 4

Let's go fast

Since Snacks hasn't rolled yet to see where he ended up in the tree…

Snacks awakes with a terrible headache.
The last thing you remember is the ground shaking, something bursting from the ground right against your head and then darkness.
You awake to find yourself high in the branches of a giant apple tree.
The apples of the tree are already bigger than you and still growing.
A bit down you see Mabel, Soil, Amber and Warren entering a little hole inside the tree…
Perhaps it might be good of you to follow them.

I'll type up the description of what is inside the heart of the tree in a sec.
Just letting Snacks get here for a sec.

Look around first, what kind of tree is this?
Also try to jump up and follow them down. Use supreme surivor as I follow them down.
"What happened!?!" I shouted to them.

An apple tree. A huge apple tree.
It sticks out far above the treeline.

After making your way through the tunnel with the fluorescent Parasprites you enter a large room within the tree. There is barely any light but there are massive amounts of fluorescent parasprites here as well, giving you a vague idea of the outline of the room, somewhat circular with a very high ceiling. The shouting of Tullip came from here somewhere but worryingly it seems to have stopped, there's not enough light currently to see this room clearly but you have the distinct impression you're standing in some kind of mud.

Break off a piece of wood inside the tree to use as torch.
"Indy, light this up."

"Bedrock and a magic tree happened."

Spot check.

Roll #1 2 + 1 = 3

"The seed did say he didn't want to grow!"

"What? Why?" I scratch my head as I follow her.
I then try to also look around. Supreme survivor.

"Someone make some light! We need a torch! Tullip!? Tullip!?"

"What why?" I scratch my head.
"What this seed everypony saying?" I look confused.

"It did, huh? Seems like we'll need to have some words with Bedrock then."

"Your guess is as good as mine."

"Space, the apple king… But not the end of the world! I didn't go there!
Long stuff. Kinda boring, really."
"He was helping me get a shield…"

"He could have warned us that a giant tree will grow right under the camp."

"We could have just went to the end of the world…"

"We don't have time for this talk! We need to find where Tullip went now!"
Light a torch and look around!

Roll #1 5 = 5

I tilt my head trying to imagine what Soil has just said.
"Snack… didnt understand a thing."

I then look around and counted if everyone is here. Is everyone following us?

I then smile.
"There, something Snack understand!! Lets go Amber pony."
Follow her and find Tulip.

Roll #1 3 = 3

The whole party is here.
NPCs such as Star, Iris, Vilina or Bedrock aren't here.

Indy lights a torch, the nearby Parasprites stop munching and flock for the torch.
In the mess of numbers of Parasprites flying all across all of you, Snacks notices Tullip hanging on the ceiling wrapped in some kind of jelly.
The whole room is coated in jelly actually, not mud.

Both of you hear an eerie voice echo through the chamber.

"There is Tulip pony!" I pointed up.

Wave the torch around.
"The heck! Shoo!"
Look up, or towards the voice.
"Hey! Who're you?"

Look up.
"Tullip, are you allright? Can someone get to her?"

Slink into the shadows.

Roll #1 5 + 1 = 6

"Snack cant, but Indy can!"

flood detected arghg!

"I can't fly!"
Ugh… so powerless…
"How can we help her from down here?"

"Indy can help perhaps." I look at Soil.

"If not, Snack can try to throw Amber or Mabel."

Btw is Tulip fine? Is she hurt or anything?
Also what is this material sticking her to the cieling.

Roll #1 2 = 2

"Smart thinking buddy!"
Smirk widely.
"Indy! Go free Tulip!"

Roll #1 2 = 2

You are stealthed and hear the voice again
(See soils post)

"You….I know you…..I heard that voice before…I have no name…Give me a name…"

She doesn't seem injured, just unconcious.
You can't identify the material, it seems like maple syrup, but much thicker and stickier.

He looks up to the high ceiling and back to you.

Can I find where it's coming from?

Roll #1 2 + 1 = 3

Is there any way we can climb up to where Tullip is?

Roll #1 5 = 5

Raise a brow.
"You are… The tree! The little seed! Is that you!?"
Turn to Indy.
Doesn't he have wings?

"There goes Amber up! Hup!"
Help Amber up.

Roll #1 10 = 10

Did I say that somewhere?

It's pretty sticky…

Snacks grabs Amber and throws her up to the ceiling.

Amber is now holding on to the unconcious hanging body of Tullip, if she falls down it will hurt a lot. Luckily the sticky stuff makes it pretty easy to hang on.

Seeing both of them in a sticky situation. I try to position myself underneath to catch them if in case they fall.

Roll #1 5 = 5

Nope. But Snacks suggested it, and I'm too dumb to remember if he had or not.
You never described him actually.
"Well… Hold on there! And let go of our friend!"

Look at Amber, standing below her and spreading my hooves.
"Jump down!"
Ready to catch them!

Roll #1 4 + 2 = 6

I gulp and try to inspect Tullip. What's happened to her?

Roll #1 8 = 8

So, no clue where the sound is coming from?

Not for the moment.

You're unsure.
She's coccooned into this stuff by something

You're both in position
"My name will be….Tree then. Interesting….."

The Parasprites are suddenly dispersing leaving an empty room.

This seems worrying.
Keep looking!

Roll #1 2 + 1 = 3

"So… Tree. How do you like being big?"
Nod at Amber to jump!
Mouth the words It's Gonna Be Safe!

"Uh… are you guys ready to catch us?"
Try to free Tullip and myself.

Roll #1 2 = 2

Roll #1 10 + 2 = 12

Catch them while they fall.

Roll #1 7 = 7

"Snack is in position! Pull her down Amber pone!" I shouted.

You are all standing ready to catch poor Amber.

But she's stuck now too…

There's a buzzing noise coming and growing louder.
There's a large flying ball shape moving towards Amber and Tullip in the darkness of the ceiling.

"Ah! Stupid sticky stuff, let me go!"
Try to unstuck myself!

Roll #1 7 = 7

Keep hidden, for now.

"Indy! Freeze those!"
I will stand still.

Roll #1 3 = 3

I'll just fly up to the two of them.
"Calm down, if you wiggle too much you might end up falling."

"Well this isn't an ideal situation to be in! Save us!"

"I will, just stay calm. Since apparently Indy can breathe cold, I'll just fly him up here, he can freeze the goo, and then we can break it. Soil can catch you, if I happen to miss on the grab."

"I just need to free Tullip as well! She's unconscious!"

"Indy's cold breath will make the goo brittle, and easy to break. Soil's more than strong enough to catch anyone who I can't."

You manage to get one hoof lose.

You're hidden.

Indy misses his frost attack.

The big ball is now close enough to the ground for all to see it. It's a Giant Parasprite. It opens its mouth nearing Tullip, Warren and Amber. The mouth is large enough to fit all 3 of them easily

I shriek and try to free myself and Tullip further!

Roll #1 7 = 7

"Amber! Pull!"
Get ready to catch her.

Roll #1 5 = 5

Indy, fire in the hoooole!
Keep in place and try to catch Amber as she falls.

Roll #1 4 = 4

Oh. Well, shit. No time to do anything, then.
Cut as much of the goo away from Amber and Tulip with the Inquisitor's Knife '1d10'

Roll #1 5 = 5

I really wish I had something to throw at it now!
It's not close enough to attack from the ground, is it?

Both hooves are loose. You drop down in Soils hooves and Snacks paws.

You manage to get Tullips pod loose. It drop down and gets captured by Soil and Snacks.
Suddenly the world goes dark.
2 jaws close around you.

The fire doesn't stop the parasprite at all as he chomps Warren!

Not yet.
Maybe you can lure it?

Two sets of jaws? Odd. Homing Magic. '1d10'

Roll #1 2 = 2

"Warren! Noooo! We need to save him!"
Jump back onto my hooves, not bothering to clean myself off.

Roll #1 5 + 2 = 7

Let out a sharp whistle from stealth then.

Shoot it Shoot it!
Sentried Marksman shot

Oh, and Indy freezes the parasprite's wings.

Roll #1 5 = 5

I'm going to write this out next time.

And the place is all wet too.
And the ground is soft.

You're on your hooves.

Well the parasprite is pretty high up and gravity is a powerful enemy.. A 7 won't do it I'm afraid.

The combination of the icy breath and whistle, and mostly Snacks masterful shot grab the Paraspites attention.
Angrily buzzing it flies down.

The parasprite is at ground level now.

Roll #1 3 + 2 = 5

Good! Now get a good grip on my hammer and attack that bug thing! Empower Weapon! Savior guide me!

Roll #1 3 + 3 = 6

Right. This isn't going to be pleasant. Time to start carving my way out with that dagger before I get digested. '1d10'

Roll #1 9 = 9

Time to backstab it!

Roll #1 8 + 2 = 10

Oh, yeah, and..
"Indy! Help me out!"

Roll #1 5 = 5

You stick your knife at the walls but the creatures skin is seems surprisingly flexible. Your knife merely stretches it without tearing.
[Saliva intensifies]
Wait…gravity turns, the dark digestive system of the parasprite is suddenly underneath you, you grasp on to one of the thin teeth as it mouth opens above you. This is your chance to climb out.

Running against the parasprite is like running into a trampoline. You bounce back, hurting yourself as you bounce against the ground.
Indy scratches at the parasprite with little effect.

You smash your hammer. Against the parasprites body with little effect.

Seeing Soil and Ambers futile attempts at hurting the parasprite, you jump up and stab the parasprite right in the eye. It shocks up and opens its mouth in a noiseless scream.

So that's how you do it!
Now, run to the mouth and pull Warren out!
"Go for the eyes Indy!"

Roll #1 7 = 7 / Roll #2 5 = 5

Fire another bolt at the Parasprite!

Roll #1 3 = 3

I scrunch.
"No fair! You're supposed to get hurt when I hit you!"

Roll #1 6 + 2 = 8

Out we go! '1d10'

Roll #1 10 = 10

"Sorry this turned ugly, pal."
Stab again, in the eye.

Roll #1 8 = 8

You don't even need to pull Warren out, he flies out like a lightning bolt.
You content yourself with slamming your shield against one of the teeth until it cracks off.
As Indy tries to climb to get to the eye on the parasprite shakes again and throws him off.
The tree starts shaking a bit as the parasprite takes flight again.
You hear the tree again "It…is….here….heh…"

You miss as the Parasprite takes wing again.
The tree starts shaking.

You hit it with your hammer again and again. But while you leave some marks it doesn't hurt him too much.
The tree starts shaking.

You fly out like a Lightning Bolt, you're free!
The tree starts shaking.

You stab it again in the eye, it wails and shakes you and your friends off.
It tries to fly but fails quickly.
The tree starts shaking a bit as the parasprite takes flight again.
You hear the tree again "It…is….here….heh…"

The Parasprite fails to gain height and falls to the ground. It tries to eat the jelly on the floor.

Right, let's try this again. Homing Magic. '1d10'

Roll #1 7 = 7

"Don't eat that!"
I can only try to keep hitting it!

Roll #1 9 + 1 = 10

Where is Tulip btw? Is she safe?
I look at the others.
"Where's Tulip pony?"

Also Marksman shot on the Parasprite.

Roll #1 3 = 3

"Here what?"
Look around alert, but just jump uponthe parasprite and do the teeth thing again!
>your shield
>implying I have one

Roll #1 3 + 2 = 5

"Don't let it eat!!"

Place a hoof on the walls of the tree.
"What is?"

"She's fine! Just take this thing down already!"

What's happening?

We're fighting a giant parasprite in a fast-grown tree. I've barely avoided digestion.

I'll try to squish the giant parasprite with my TK.

Roll #1 6 = 6

You summon 3 Homing motes.

Your slam is not very effective.
"Hehe….That." The tree starts screaming as you suddenly hear a loud scrunch from the bark. As if something is breaking through.

Your shot is not very effective.
Tullip is still encapsulated, but on the ground, unconcious, but out of danger for now.

Amber changes tactics and hit it on the wings. It stops eating and bounces in pain. Shortcake quickly finishes it with a a magical squish big X signs appear in its eyes.

"Hehe….That." The tree starts screaming as you suddenly hear a loud scrunch from the bark. As if something is breaking through.

As the parasprite is out of commission, you all hear a loud crunch and a set of giant white teeth burst through the bark, another moment later and the bark is torn away, the cold wind hits your faces as the inner part of the tree is revealed to the outside world.
And then the cold wind turns into a warm stinking breath as the transluscent head of an Ursa Major peaks in. It roars covering all of you partly in its shiny saliva.

Boss: Ursa Minor

Gasp at it in awe.
Turn to the tree.
"Tree! Give me a shield!"

Roll #1 7 = 7

Ah no!
Try to free Tulip from the capsule pod and wake her up.
"Pony get up! Get up!"

Roll #1 9 = 9

"Indy! Stay close for this!"
Apply ice to ursa.

Roll #1 5 = 5

I shriek and charge for the Ursa's face! Hit it hit it hit it!

Roll #1 3 + 1 = 4

"Oh dear, this isn't good news."

Roll #1 8 = 8

I start screaming and try to find a place to hide.

Roll #1 5 = 5

The tree is too busy screaming and laughing.
But what luck, among the splintered tree parts next to you there's one perfect piece, as if it was waiting there for you. Surely this piece of wood is destined to be your shield of legend. Time to take it for a test drive?

You get her awakened.
"Uh…what?" She yells as she sees the big bear.

Indy inhales and the bear snorts from his nose.
The sheer power blows Indy back agains the wall, doing some damage in the process.

You try to aim its snout but share the same fate as Indy and are blown against the wall.

You quickly camouflage yourself in the same color as the tree.

You share the same fate as Indy and get blown against the wall.

The Ursa Minor tries to reach its head into the hole more placing both its paws near the edge for stability.

I try to get up.

Roll #1 8 = 8

Charge the Ursa. Right on the nose.
Indy can still stand, right? Keep Icing!

Roll #1 4 + 2 = 6 / Roll #2 9 = 9

Get up, help Indy up as well!
Bolster Soil!

Sneak about a bit, then jump on the top of the Ursa's head and slide down to it's neck!

Roll #1 2 = 2

Gaah. step away
Fire a Bolt at the monster.

Roll #1 6 = 6

You're already up, it was just a setback.
Making health stats. You may use that 8 next turn to attack something, in addition to your attack roll for that turn.

You slam him right on the nose. But the bear rubs it off.
You and the shield obviously still need to get to know each other for maximum synergy.

Indy inhales and freezes the bears nose.

Soil is bolstered.

At the last moment the beast smells you and with a swipe of its paws pushes you back.

You fire a bolt at it's nose. It growls.

Poor Soil 7/10

Won't stop me! Jump on it's paw and run up on it's back!

Roll #1 4 = 4

Time to smash it again then!
"Take that!"
Indy follows up with…
"Let me see the fire in its eyes!"

Roll #1 1 = 1 / Roll #2 6 = 6

Empower her weapons!
Charge at the Ursa myself!

Roll #1 5 = 5

"I'm a bit occupied at the moment!"

"Don't worry, the Savior is on your side now!"

Well. Blast all three frosty orbs '3d10' at the bear, and then use Hat Magic to pull out a can of Ursa repellant. '1d10'

Roll #1 10, 2, 5 = 17 / Roll #2 2 = 2

"Glad to hear that!"

You don't succeed in blinding it. But that stab is a bullseye.

He swipes you away again.

The shield is still resisting your dominance over it. It doesn't fight back as one of the paws slams you back.
You're helpless.

Indy fires right at the collection of stars and dust. Its stars are glowing red.

It slams you away with a paw.

Your multiattack pushes his head back.
He rubs his head out of your reach.
You take an empty can of Ursa repellant out of your hat.

The Ursa pulls its head out to rub it for a second.
Leaving its paws unguarded.

Indy goes for double or nothing!

Roll #1 8 + 1 = 9

She's healed the fuck up.

You can't quite get a good place to hide.

You get up again.
Indy breathes…and burps. A large flame leaves his mouth and he falls to the ground.
Indy is helpless.

You're up.

Well, everyone's up and around, so it's time I took this fight to the air, like any pegasus should. Fly around the ursa's head and backstab the head. '1d10'

Attaaaaack! Smash its face with my hammer!

Roll #1 5 = 5

No time to waste!
Jump on the paw and run up to it's back now that it's distracted

Roll #1 2 = 2

As you attack the head gets back in, sees you and slams you back.

Indy can't get up yet.

You can't avoid the paw slam!

As the head pokes back in, it tries to squish you and almost succeeds.

It's not distracted anymore dummy.
Now you're flying through the air.
That's not so bad.
Smacking on the ground is painful though.

Heal poor little Indy.

Pure. Rage.
Slam mindlessly against the Ursa's head!
And then Indy brings out the heat.

Roll #1 7 + 2 = 9 / Roll #2 5 = 5 / Roll #3 5 = 5

I try to blind the bear.

Roll #1 6 + 2 = 8

Right, let's try Homing Magic again. '1d10'

Roll #1 8 = 8

Indy is back up and restored.

You do an amazing quadruple saldo and slash the nose of the Ursa Minor to shit.
The bear howls.

You ram the Bear right in the nose.

You summoned 3 motes.

The bear is blinded.
All attacks against the Ursa +2 next turn.

Poor Soil 9/6
>Indy 5/5
Amber 1/5
Mabel 1/5

The bear pulls his head out of the tree to rub his nose. Only his paws are still inside.

Go for the right paw!

Backstab the bear's paw '1d10+2' and send the frost motes at the bear's face. '3d10+2'

Roll #1 7 + 2 = 9 / Roll #2 9, 7, 5 + 2 = 23

I try to sneak around and stab it in the back.

Roll #1 1 + 2 = 3

Roll #1 8, 10 + 10 = 28

Now take advantage of its blindedness! Leap of faith! Smash its paws!

Roll #1 5 + 2 = 7

And Sylt (5) and Indy's (8) roll.

As you all attack the Ursa's paws, you feel a powerful energy bubbling up inside you out of nowhere, making your attacks stronger.
Warrens motes of power fire larger and more true than ever.
Ambers hammer glows red with a fiery power.
Even as Shortcake misses her blow, she manages to jump away from retaliation unharmed.
Soil and Indy team up together to deliver an icy Slam that could kill an ox.

As you mentally ready yourself for the next blow, you feel a connection across space and time. Perhaps sparked by the divine powers channeled by Amber, you feel yourself once again in the Elemental Plane in front of the Burning Throne, staring into the raw power visible within the eyes of the Firelord. At this moment of connection become one with Fire and you feel your actions guided by the Firelord himself.
Your mere presence carries the Aura of Pyrrus, granting your allies a significant power boost.
But it is when the bear rears its head back in that you strike.
Rialing the pegasi in speed you gallop towards the head, jumping out of the tree and hitting the celestial mass, overloading it red with elemental power.
As the beast roars, it destabilizes and falls down towards the ground.
You are so filled with power that the idea that you're falling with it towards the ground barely bothers you. But then you feel a tug on your back. 2 claws gently grasping your flesh. You turn around to see a familiar Phoenix carrying you, slowing down your fall enough and quickly trying to land you out of reach of the Ursa.

The Ursa has destabilized. As it hits the ground it explodes into a torrent of magical energy. Everyone (except Mabel, for she's carried out by the Phoenix) must roll a dodge to hide away from the direct blast

Roll #1 1 = 1

I'll open the bag of holding, and try to get as much Stardust as possible while flapping about. '1d10'

Roll #1 7 = 7

Look back at the phoenix in surprise.
"…Inferni? Is that you?"

Run away!

Roll #1 1 = 1

Hide behind my shield with Indy.

Roll #1 9 = 9

Roll another 1d10

Escape Artist?

Roll #1 10 = 10

Roll #1 3 = 3

I'm here too!

Allright, do you want to have a chance at mutation too or do you want to have been at a safe distance during this whole thing?

…I think I'll have stayed back for this one.

The blue glow smashes against your shield but you're safely protected from the energetic currents.
When it's over, half of the tree is covered in blue crystals and there's a light blue hue covering your shield, ocassianally sparkling.

So you have.
You better fly over to check what happened to your friends who are in that giant hole in that giant tree….

You got fully hit. As you come to you find yourself laying in a blue dust. And you feel different, as you check yourself you realize you have gained pegasi wings!

The phoenix screeches and flies you back to the tree.
From here you can see a large circle around the now dead bear has been covered in the sparkling blue dust, all trees have discolored and become an eerie blue. The grass has crystalized.
You're near the others again.

You protect yourself with the bag and manage to capture a lot of stardust.

As you come to, you find yourself shining like never before, a deep joy wells up inside of you, unlike you've ever felt before.
Crystal Emotion positive bonus raised to +2 until further notice.

Oh what the hell happened now…
I fly over there and investigate! Look for Shortcake!

Right. Swoop down and check on the others.
"Is everyone alright? Tulip? Is she safe?"

Admire my coat for a moment! Then go check if all the NPC's are alright!

Roll #1 3 = 3

Try not to freak out.

Roll #1 1 = 1

Touch down, and bend a knee forward for Inferni to land on.
"Is everyone allright? Noone got too hurt?"

"Damn thing. Can't even die right!"
Is everypony okay?
Is… The tree okay?

"I'm fine! Checking on everypony else right away!"

Shortcake is freaking out…and she has wings. Which she is now using to fly uncontrollably through the air.

Tullip seems okay, paradoxically the cocoon she's covered in protects her from the dust.

You're freaking out, you try to gallop but by accident start flapping your wings instead and fly madly through the air.

Inferni sits down on your knee, looking amused at the scene.

Everypony seems okay, Amber is just a lot shinier than usual, even emitting a small glow on her own. And Shortcake is flying uncontrollably through the air and could use some pegassistance.

"Gah! Hey! Shortcake! It's okay!"
I try to catch her and get her down to the ground.

Roll #1 10 = 10

Blink once or twice.
"Freaky magic…"
I should look for a way down…

Oh boy. Quickly wing up to Shorcake…>>504595

Let's get down from this dumb tree then! Hahaha!

"You like this, don't you."
Shake my head.
"Everypony, we should get off this three before it shrinks. We have a lot to talk about with Bedrock."

"Shortcake! Don't panic! Calm down!"

"You'll be fine! Let Melody help you!"
Since everyone seems to be in one piece, I'll start swooping around and gathering the stardust.

Grunt at both.
"Shut up a moment, between you and the tree shouting I can't understand a thing!"

"Soil, Amber, get down the tree!
I'm trying to get the others down too."

"Warren, you and Melody help Shortcake fly down!"

"Melody has her well in hoof. "
…I'll put some of the stardust into a jar and put that in my bag. What Bedrock doesn't know won't hurt him.

You catch her and gently guide her back to the ground in your hooves.

There is one, but you might want to take a moment to catch your breath before going down.

There is a way, but you might want to take a moment to catch your breath before going down.

As for the tree, its screaming has ceased, as has any communication. If you'd look at it from afar, you'd see one half is largely crystalized, the other half still organic, but for how long will it live? No one knows.

Catching breath
one two, one two, one two, one two, one two, one two, one two, one two, …

Roll #1 10 = 10

Yeah, right..
Sit down.
"You okay, Indy?"

Throw a pebble at her.
"Just calm down! Plenty of ponies have wings!"

"Shortcake for FUCKS sake!"
I pull her into a kiss to shut her up.

Roll #1 1 = 1

I squeal as you kiss me from the wrong end.

Watch in horror.
"This is too strange."

Did I see that?

Roll #1 5 = 5

Too hard to see when I'm shining brightly!

Not paying attention to this. Totally not paying attention to that.
"Could you please not do that in public, Melody?"

I chuckle.
"At least no one is underage.
I guess some are just happy to be alive after this!"

"I suppose. Still, a kiss would have sufficed, not panicking Shortcake even more."

"As long as we all safely get out of this.
That's what matters in the end."

You're all set.
Time to go down the tree?

Skip over to Mabel.
"Mabel! Nice parakeet!"

Hell yeah.
"That was some nice stuff."
Smirk at her.

Time to go-

"I did it to make sure none of us got hurt, but thanks!"

Give her a look, then chuckle.
"Amber, he is a phoenix. I think you should apologize, he can be very upset about things like that."
Scratch his chin.
"Isn't that right, Inferni?"

Inferni nods his head decidedly.

Roll for how hard the way down is.

I cock my head.
"Well he sure is a pretty bird."

Where is Vilana?

Yes satan.

Roll #1 6 = 6

"He doesn't like being called a bird either."
Lean closer to Amber.
"He's a bit pompous about that!"

Let's see about the way down.

Roll #1 1 + 1 = 2

I look around.
Whats happening?

Make sure to grab poor Vilana on the way.
"This is crazy. Look at all this destruction!"

"But… he looks like a bird!"

Roll #1 10 = 10

You're still in the tree man.
The bear is dead though.
Amber is even shinier than usual, she literally gives light.

"He is much more than a simple bird, I can assure you."

|s Iris safe already? Check her out.

"What bird?"

Smile at him, and nod at Inferni.
"Not bird, phoenix."

"Well yeah, birds aren't usually set on fire… doesn't that hurt for him?"

Iris is down at the base of the tree where we'll go once everyone rolled.

"So… What would happen if Indy spit fire at that bird?"

"He is one with the fire. It doesn't hurt him."

"I'm not sure but I think it's best if we don't try it out."

I giggle.
"He'd burn even brighter, I bet!"

"… Like those elementals? Wow!"

I look at the phoenix in amazement.
"Where did Mabel get one?" I scratch my head.

"Ask him!"
"I don't like those guys…"

"Just like the elementals, yes."

"I met Inferni back in Tall Tale, he was caged by some rich ponies before escaping. I had no idea where he went, until today. He showed up at just the right time!"

"I will, in time. Let's just focus on going down now."

"Snack see's, that's quite a lucky find." I grin.
"Alright lets go down before something shows up." Follow Mabel down.

Roll please.

Roll #1 10 = 10

Both Amber and Snacks get down no problem.
Mabel misses a spot and is lucky Inferni bails her out again and softly flies her down instead of letting her fall to her doom.
Soils idea to just slide down on his shield works surprisingly well until he shield gets stuck in a brach and it takes 15 minutes to get it out.

You all make it down the base of the tree where there's a giant open clearing covered in blue dust and charred tree trunks where the Ursa exploded. You find Vilina, Star and Iris there.
Vilina is laying meekly and shaken underneath a blanket while Iris sits by her.

Star runs up "Oh thank the Saviour all of you are okay!"
She gives Snacks a hug.

Hmmm… poke around the dust and collect some of it.
"Is anypony wounded?"

Give Inferni a grateful look.
"Thanks for that."

Then turn to the ponies down here.
"Are all of you fine? Noone got hurt?"

Star looks up.
"Uh…..yes…in a way…"
She looks towards Iris and Vilina.

I gasp and forget about the dust, running over to check on them.

Roll #1 2 = 2

Run to the two of them?
"What happened?"

I pat her head.
"We all are." I grin before looking up.
"Now that party is down here, do we have a plan how to get out?"

Walk closer.
"What's wrong?"

I look and approach Iris
"What happened to Iris pony?

You don't notice anything immediately wrong apart from both of them looking really sad.
Vilina is covered in a blanket except her face and turns to both of you in a shaking voice.
"Hello, Soil, Amber…"
Iris says nothing but smiles and waves at both of you.

Star whispers.
"When that explosion happened,..it did something to them."
She looks down.

Look reeeeeally hard at Iris and then try to peek under Vilina's blanket.
"What's wrong with you?"

Roll #1 3 = 3

I look at them worried.
"What's wrong? How do you feel?"

"I was out of the blast… can you be more specific? Maybe I could try and help."

I look at Star and whisper.
"Did Star pony find out anything? Perhaps they are just shocked with explosion.

Iris shakes her head.
Vilina just looks down and starts to cry.
You can't see what's underneath the blanket.

"Iris' voice…changed…she's really embarrassed about it. And Vilina…"
She shakes her head.
"Mabel, she grew another leg…"

"If you're hurt just hiding it under the blanket is no good!"

Drop my ears and rub my face with a hoof while taking a deep breath.
"…I'm not sure what to do about that. I'm sorry…"
Lower my voice
"Don't tell the others, not yet."

I scratch my head in confusion.
"I can't help you if you don't tell me what's wrong! If you're hurt, I can use a spell to fix it!"

She nods.

Vilina shakes her head and keeps crying.
Iris gives her a hug and gives you a sign to shut up.

Shut up and look very, very sad and confused.

I just stare.

I scrunch and plop down onto the ground.
"I don't get it."

Star trots towards them.
"Iris, Vilina, I know it's hard, but.."
She waves towards all of you.
"These are our friends, you can trust them…"

Iris sighs and says. "I don't want to talk about it" in a very deep manly voice.

"Let's try to keep that from the others for now."

Walk over and put a hoof on Soil's shoulder.
"It's okay, you'll understand."

Stay silent.

I perk up.
"Uh… okay!"

Now where is Tullip? Is she okay?

Roll #1 4 = 4

Look in deep surprise, widening my eyes and drooping my ears at Iris.

I frown upon hearing it before turning to Star.
"Do Star have any idea how to fix this? If not, perhaps the crystal paladins do.."

She slipped off your back and now just lies on the ground, looking at the sky.
After a few seconds she says. "…where…the fuck…did that fucking tree come from…"

She droops her ears as well and looks down.

She shakes her head.
"The effects of Ursa dust are extremely unpredictable, but most of the time they go away after a few days….most of the time…"

Look around, and narrow my eyes.
"Where is Bedrock?"

"… The ground! But I've never seen a tree grow that fast. Is that some kind of new age stuff?"

Look from Iris to Star and back again!
That's gonna go away soon, right?"

Iris looks towards Star.
She says "Of course it will!" Bluff '1d10'

Roll #1 5 = 5

That didn't sound too sure…

Sense Motive roll.

Roll #1 9 = 9

Bite my lower lip.
Hug Iris.

Roll #1 9 + 2 = 11

Star looks up.
"I saw him some time ago, he trotted towards there." She points.
"I think his tent was somehow still allright, he had all these large apples.
That was before the explosion."

"… You're not hurt, are you?"

"No…thanks to you, all of you."

"Star, stay with the girls. Make them some tea if you can, that might help."

Let's walk to the direction she pointed towards.
Can I see him?

Roll #1 1 + 1 = 2

"Perhaps Bedrcok can help?"

"or not perhaps Amber's paladin friends maybe."

You see 2 squirrel covered in stardust and with 3 eyes.

I frown even harder.
"These poor creatures…"
Now I must find him!

Roll #1 8 + 1 = 9

I scrunch again.
"I don't understand how that tree grew so fast either though…"

"Oh yeah! Maybe!"

She grabs you close and holds on to you. You hear a few muffled sobs and she buries her head in your shoulder.

Star looks unsure.
"I don't know, he does have a lot of magical things."

You hear cheerful whistling in the distance.
Approach him alone?

I'm not alone, I have Inferni with me!
But yes, approach him.
I'll bring him back to the others anyway.

He's next to his tent, packing a large amount of stardust in his bags.
The giant apples are nowhere to be seen.
Infenri screeches angrily at him as he comes into view.
He turns around and looks surprised at the bird. "What in the hell? Where did you get that thing?"

Pat her mane.
"It's okay. You heard Star. You will both be fine!"

… okay, let's scoop up some more Star dust then.

Speaking of Star… "Star, did you see how shiny my coat looks right now!?"

Star doesn't know. Soil knows, I thought he'd speak up.

"Yeah, wow, I'm sorry I was so distracted I didn't see. It looks amazing."

Stop and bend a forehoof for him to perch on.
"Easy there, Inferni. I know what you're thinking."
Then shoot a glare at Bedrock.
"He's not a 'thing', and it doesn't matter right now. What matters is that we need to have a serious talk about your attitude. With everyone."

"I'm radiating light! It's crazy! … I hope it doesn't stick for too long though, it's going to be hard to sleep like this. I'm not afraid of the dark anymore, so I sleep without lights!"

Inferni spreads his wings and flies straight for Bedrock, clawing at his face and erupting in flames.
Bedrock tries to keep the bird off.
"Hey, cut that out!"

"How did that happen? I've never seen a crystal pony that shiny before…"

Hold up the bag of dust.
"It must have been this nasty stuff, because it happened after we finished the ursa!"
I glance over at Vilana.
"… The effects really are random."

She nods…"What a day…"

Vilina scoffs.
"That stupid fucking bear…"

"I'm gonna get Bedrock for this."
Leave her behind and rush for Bedrock's tent.

You arrive at the scene with Inferni clawing at Bedrocks face.

"Bird, get lost!"
Pin Bedrock down.
"You hurt Iris!"

Roll #1 9 + 2 = 11

Start walking towards them… not in a hurry.
"I'd be grateful if you stopped that, Inferni.
You, Bedrock, on the other hoof, didn't think that Nature would let you go unscathed after the atrocity you just commited, did you?"

Big angry pony just walked in on that.

I scrunch at her use of language but don't comment on it.
"I don't know what happened to you but I guess it's not really nice… I'm sorry."

"Don't hurt him too much, Soil. That won't help anypony. It won't help Iris."

Inferni backs off and sits on one of the poles of Bedrocks tent looking angrily at Bedrock.
Bedrock's pinned down by Soil.
"What? What did I do? You're all acting crazy!"

"If Bedrock is really to blame for this, give him a piece of my mind, will you."

"The tree!
The seed told you it didn't want to grow! And now everypony is hurt! Iris is hurt!"
Rock him about angrily.

Roll #1 5 = 5

"Oh you know exactly what you did, Bedrock. Don't play dumb, it does not suit you."

"Uh… okay! If Soil thinks it's his fault… I trust him!"
Leave the bag of dust behind and follow after to where Soil went.

Where is Snacks?

You walk in on this.

"Oh that seed didn't know what it wanted. You heard it, he was happy being a big massive, slightly crazy tree. He was laughing his trunk off."

"Okay, so I roughed things up a bit.
We got lots of stardust! And those giant apples will make us a fortune!
And…and Soil got his shield!"

Punch him in the guts once and then back away.

Roll #1 6 = 6

"We got an ursa dead, a weeping forest, and mutated critters.
Let me tell you this now, you will not make a fortune, not even a bit."

He winces at the blow and gets up again.
"Not even a thanks for getting you that shield?"

"What's that supposed to mean?"

As you look at Bedrock a strange alien feeling comes over you. Roll.

My ears perk up.
"Wow, wow! What's going on? He's actually the one who caused all this? Really!?"

"The tree gave me the shield. Because we helped."
Narrow my eyes.
"I should slam you to a wall for that."
"The seed said he didn't want to grow but he didn't listen!"

"I will not let you profit from throwing off the balance of Nature, that's what it's supposed to mean."

"Now I wasn't the one who killed the Ursa!
I just lured him here with all that maple syrup the tree made."

I scrunch.
"I didn't know seeds could talk…"

"But… why?"

Roll #1 7 = 7

"Of course!"

"Yes, you lured him on us. Put us all into danger. We had no choice but to fight."

He narrows his eyes.
"You should watch that mouth of yours Soil. It will get you in trouble."

"I'm still not following. You ponies do that all the time. How many animals have you killed and used the spoils off?"

"Because I thought it would be a great way to swat to flies in one stroke."

The feeling is strange but you recognize it as a form of holy power flowing through you. Perhaps you should discuss this with a true paladin sometime. But right know all you know is that it is telling you that the person you're looking at is evil.

"You were going to fight him anyway."

Narrow them back in a very mean way.
"And you will do exactly what, little pony?"

Roll #1 3 + 3 = 6

… Evil? Like… evil evil?
I narrow my eyes at him.
"You didn't even warn us! That's insane! Crazy! Ponies got hurt because they weren't prepared to clear from the blast!"

He smirks.
"Cut your salary in half!"

Like deep dark evil.
"It was on short notice. I apologize." It doesn't sound too sincere.

"Look around us!"
Point a hoof at the forest.
"How much time do you think the forest will need to heal?"

"I might just find another job."

"I think it looks a lot better actually.
Blue instead of green. Why, I could start a resort here. "Crystal Blue Sensation Resort" "

"Well, you're fired!"

"… You… There's an aura about you that doesn't feel right. And you don't sound very sincere either!"
Take a menacing step forward.

He chuckles.
"Did you get a bit too much stardust in that shiny little head of yours? Gone totally bonkers finally?"

Keep staring menacingly at him.
"I'm starting to dislike you. More and more."

Roll #1 8 + 3 = 11

"You think that?
Does Inferni need to show you again what Nature thinks?"

"What? Hey! I'm not bonking at all!"

He blinks.
But his smirk doesn't disappear.

He laughs.

He looks towards the phoenix.
"He'll back off if he knows what's good for him."
Inferni doesn't take it and flies back down, but this time Bedrock is ready and with a lightning fast punch swats him out of the sky and right against a tree.

Slam Bedrock to the ground!

Roll #1 3 + 2 = 5

I gasp and charge in to strike! Leap of Faith!

Roll #1 2 = 2

"You made a big mistake, Bedrock."
With a jump and a roll close the distance between me and him, and punch him in the face.

Roll #1 6 + 1 = 7

He jumps over you as you charge causing you to slam a tree.
"Oh look Mabel, Soil hurt that poor tree! Why don't you chastize him?"

You jump and miss as Bedrock simply steps aside.

Bedrock coughs "Well, I think our business arrangements are concluded here."
He takes out your contracts and shreds them.

Then a hoof out of nowhere and Bedrock bites the dust, seemingly unconcious.

Shake my hoof.
"You two, tie him up.
Take every little item off of him. I don't want any tricks up his sleeve when he wakes up."

Run over to my birdy.
"Inferni, are you okay?"

Look over at the unconscious Bedrock with an angry glare.
Sit atop him.

"I don't have a contract!"

I look at her and nod, then search Bedrock. [1d10]

Roll #1 10 = 10

He nods weakly.
Then looks over your shoulder towards Bedrock, nodding to show oyu have to look there.

As Soil sits atop of him he wakes up and before Amber can search him he gets up with an amazing jump, throwing Soil off.
"Fine then, if you guys want to have it this way."

Bedrocks body suddenly shakes and his one back leg turns into a zebra hoof, the other into a griffon leg.
"I have many names you know, Bedrock, Nightfeather and a bunch of others. But most of all, I like the titles, the Trader of Terror,…."
His body stretched and becomes more snakelike
"The Merchant of Madness…"
His left front leg turns into a diamond dog paw.
"The Wholesaler of Woe, my favorite…."
His head turns into a griffons with the same bird.
"But really I am called Anarchy."

>with the same beard

Raise a brow.
"Really now?

Roll #1 3 + 2 = 5

"What? What!? You really are evil! That's it, mister! No more nice Amber for you!"
Empower my hammer and strike!

Roll #1 6 + 3 = 9

Look at him in disbelief.
"What… are you?"
Help Inferni up, and pull out my longer rapier.

Oh yeah, and Indy ices.

Roll #1 7 = 7

He snaps his paw and with a flash a bell appears.
It loudly gongs as you slam into it.

He snaps his paw another time and your hammer flies out of your hooves and hit you on your butt.

He grins.
"Ah finally some manners. I am the charming servant of Discord, a draconequus."

Indy growls and breathes ice.
Anarchy snaps his paw and the ice returns right into Indy's mouth.
He shakes coldly.

Stare him down and keep my ground.

Roll #1 7 + 3 = 10

"Hey! Give me back my hammer!"
Grab it!

Roll #1 9 + 1 = 10

Keep my blade pointed at him in the duelist position, but don't attack just yet.
I saw what happened to the others.
"You played the part of a greedy, terrible stallion convincingly."

You keep your ground admirably.
If you weren't facing a draconequus, he would have been scared as fuck.
Indy quickly recovers and comes stand by you. But he doesn't look too eager to attack the abomination right now.

You manage to grab it. It shakes a bit in your hooves.

"Thanks, I love being a merchant. All these amazing deals, and all these ponies desperate for my wares. Those things they can't find anywhere else. Artefacts that give them the power to conquer any heart or destroy any foe.
And all the delicious chaos that erupts when they try to contain that power."
He giggles.
"It's hilarious really. And I must say I loved all of you. It has been some time since I've been with such an eager bunch of ponies ready to get the job done and not ask questions."

"Guess you are a bad copy of discord, since we did good to ponies!"

Glower at him.
"I'm going to take you down…"
Spellbreak his ass!

Roll #1 7 = 7

Sheathe my sword.
It wouldn't do any good anyway.
"All good things must end sometime, don't they.
Your menace will end too, I can assure you, if not today, then in due time."

"You cleaned up the gangs, I admit. But I got the best of them out of there in them. He's doing some very interesting stuff in Ponyville.
And did you do good to the inn?
Or how about those packages I had Warren send across Equestria? I'm going to die of laughter when you find out."

He snaps his finger and the ground underneath you is sticky gum.

He grins.
"I rather doubt that, Mabel dear."

He walks over to his tent and starts folding it up until it becomes small enough, and then hangs it on a stick like a knapsack.

Try to free myself from the stickiness!
"You're not getting away with this! I'll hunt you down and purge you!"

Roll #1 10 = 10

"What's that idiot Warren do now…
Hey! Don't just run away like that!"

Roll #1 8 + 2 = 10

Smile back.
"Be happy while you can be, Anarchy.
Nature always wins."

You get out like a boss.
He laughs.
"What a feisty pony. If you ever meet Cadance, tell her I had a wonderful time that night, she'll know what I mean…"

doublecrit, the only thing that can scratch him as you are now.
You slam him right in the butt.
He jumps up and look angrily at you.
"Oh naughty, I guess I'll just have to teach you a lesson."
He snaps his fingers and nothing visibly happens to you.

Then he stretches himself, takes a bunch of stardust and sniffs it up.
"Well it was fun, but I guess I'll leave you darlings to your own devices now.
See you around."
He snaps his paw and he, the stardust he collected and his tent vanish with a flash.
All the altered stuff by Anarchy in this scene disappears.

"What a load of buffalo crap!"
Angrily stomp the ground.

"What!? Whaaaaat!? Come back here! I'll destroy you!"
Angrily stomp my hooves on the ground as he disappears.

I sigh.
"There's that."

"But I did hurt him in the end!"

"This is bullshit!"

should be snort, like cocaine

"I saw but it wasn't enough. We couldn't do anything."

"Language, Amber."

I scrunch and look down defiantly.
"I should have sensed something was wrong about him before…"

"We should have slammed him to the ground when we could."

"He hid himself well. We couldn't have done anything. Doesn't mean that we won't be able to in the future. We just need to find his weaknesses, and track him down."

"I should have stopped him! If I want to ever become a paladin, I should do better than this."
I flick my tail in annoyance.
"I'm going to have to consult my book on all this stuff!"

"I will need a new crafter…"

"Is that your biggest worry?"

"It's not your fault, Amber. I was blind to all that he was doing so far too."

"We have to hunt him down Mabel… who knows what horrible things he might do!"

"Eh, probably he's gonna meet with his dragon pal, wanna bet?"

"We need to find out how we can defeat him first."

"My book of Cadence might give us a clue! Or maybe when we visit the crystal paladins…"

"Slam him real hard, duh!"

"That's a good idea, Amber. They might know."

"Slamming doesn't solve everything, Soil."

"But he did feel that!"

Allright, back to the camp?

Yeah, back to camp…
Too bad I didn't get paid for this job!

The camp is still somewhat in the same state you left it.
It seems Star made a little fire.
They all look at you.
Star breaks the silence "So….what happened?"

Start grumbling something, but then roll my eyes and point at the others.
Go sit by Iris and Vilina.
Freaky magic."

Sit down beside them.
"Promise me you won't think I'm crazy if I say it."

I scrunch as hard as I can and look down at the ground angrily.

Iris puts her hoof on your shoulder and brushes her head against your shoulder.

Star raises her hoof and says "Promise!"

"Bedrock was a draqoneecus called Anarchy."

"And he was really hard to slam!"

And now I'll swoop in on the others after putting as much stardust in that odd bag as I can.
"What's going on? I heard yelling."

"And he got away…"

"Freaky magic."

Now Iris and Vilina look up as well.
"…..what" says Star…

Iris looks up
"A…real draconequus? HERE?"
She gives Soil another hug.

I'll look between the lot of them, then hold up a hoof.
"Hang on, start from the beginning. What?"

I nod.
"Right under my noses and I didn't even see it…"
Kick a little at the ground.

Put a hoof behind Iris' neck.
"It's okay, he's gone now. Probably went to play with that big undead dragon pal of his."
"Bedrock was kinda like… Evil."

"Evil how? I knew he was shady, but I passed that off as just being a merchant."

"You heard me."

"Bedrock was leading us by our noses.
He wasn't what he seemed to be."

Tullip stomps on the ground.
"That's bullshit…That…stupid…"
She stomps on the ground a few times.

Vilina merely looks towards the fire, flabbergasted.

Iris nods.
"I should have seen it…I read about draconequi…I should have known, then maybe…

"Evil like won't-stay-dead evil!"

Star looks weirdly.
"What….is a draconequus?"

"He changed his limbs into zebra and gryphon legs and stuff! And when I tried to hammer him he just took my hammer from me and hit me on my butt!"

"I have no idea, but I don't like it!"

Wince a bit at her voice.
"Hey not even I could slam it, can't be hel-"
Look at Star.
"Oh yeah, what's a dracoconut?"

Fuck, fallen asleep
Run back to the party.
"What?! What happened?!"

I'll sit for a second.
"That would probably explain a few things… but, for those of us who aren't quite sure, Iris, could you explain what draconequi are?"
I'll just assume she doesn't want to draw attention to the voice.

"It's hard to describe.
Something… very wrong to the core."

"He said something about you too, Warren."

"Did he?"

"Something about the packages."

"He did have me run one delivery, yes. It was through the Labyrinth of the Laughing One, and it was to some zebra out in the middle of nowhere. A rather large crystal that I was told could restore the glow to a crystal pony who had lost theirs. As there was a crystal pony at the drop-off, I had assumed it was for him. After dropping that off, I came back through the labyrinth and caught up with you all in Tall Tale."

After a few seconds Iris replies. "The word "draconequus" is composed of the High Equestrian "draco" and "equus", meaning "dragon-horse". Droconequi are immensily powerful tricksters who are composed of various body-parts of various beasts. They are universally observed as being servants of Discord, the most powerful draconequus ever encountered, defeated by Princess Celestia and Princess Luna."

Star shouts "Bedrock was a draconequus!"

I'll nod.
"Now what, I wonder, did he want with our group? If he's as powerful as you say, he could have taken out the bear, or anything else he fancied, without us."
Thinking a little, I'll continue.
"Though, perhaps doing so would make too much noise. Traveling in the shadow of successful monster hunters would mask his presence very effectively…"

"What?!!" my mouth hangs in the air.
"So… what does that mean? Is being a Draconoquicoil bad?" I scratch my head.

"What? Large crystal? Crystal pony!?"

"That's silly. I think I heard about Discord before though, but that as a long time ago!"

"Very bad."
Stars ears droop.

Star turns towards you.
"Maybe in history class, Discord was the reason ponies founded the Empire!"

I sigh.
"I feel dissapointed in ourselves. In me. We should have seen something was wrong."

"He was strong, no question about that."

I'm here too!

"I had forgotten how good a kisser you were~ Should we get back to camp?"

Hello there.
You can droop down and learn that Bedrock has been revealed to be a Draconequus, before flashing away into the unknown.
The party is still trying to wrap their head around it.

I'll nod.
"I didn't get any names, but the Crystal pony seemed rather… emotionally dead."
"So now we've got an undead dragon and a draconequis to worry about. Grand."
"How could we? I mean, he played the role of eccentric merchant fairly well. Though I suppose having a map of the Labyrinth should have tipped us off…"

I scratch my head.
"… I guess it must have been! When I looked at Bedrock earlier… I had the same feeling creep up on me while fighting those Tirekian demons!"

Look all over myself for some candies.
If I find them, offer Iris one.
You know, to make her voice sweeter.

Roll #1 8 = 8

"So Star pony means that Draconicoil Bedrock is using us to do his bidding? Then that is bad…" I frown before looking around.
"So where is the true Bedrock? Can we save Bedrock pony?"

I frown at that.
"Two dragons to worry about."

I'll shake my head.
"I don't think there ever was a 'real' Bedrock. It was just a mask he wore to gain our trust."

"That's what he told us! He has like… all kinds of different identities!"

I frown a bit.
"Impossible, Bedrock pony is our friend."

"You fought demons?!?"

You do find some.
Iris takes one of the candies thankfully. "Thanks~". She nuzzles you.

"Maybe there never was a bedrock pony…."

"Things just get worse and worse…"

"What can I say, I have experience~

And yeah, we should. Let's go."
And then we walk back to camp.

"What the fuck happened to Bedrock?"

"There was something… off about him, still. I could never trust him. Inferni went for him the moment he saw him…"

And he turned out to be a draconequus. His name is Anarchy."

"You need to teach me how to fly, Melody."

"Uh, did something happen?"

I'll shrug.
"We'll have to get the real story out of him eventually. Until then, we should focus on moving on to Ponyville. That's where we were going, and we've got to move on to Canterlot as well, to warn them of this new Draconequis."
"Where did you pick up that phoenix anyway? I noticed he practically blazed into existence when the bear exploded."

"I know, right? She fought demons and didn't bring us along!"
Shake my head.
"Nah pal, he's a capital D donkeybutt!"
"Big bag thing of chaos."
Nuzzle Iris back.

"Kind of. Back in Tall Tale I teamed up with two crystal paladins to go take out a shrine of Tirek!"

"Bedrock is a dracoconut!"

"Later Shorty…"

I look at Star
"If there was no Bedrock pony then for what purpose does that Draconicoil taken up the Bedrock pony disguise? To fool us?!"
I gasp and began rummaging my bag.
Is the runed crystal inside it?

"Snack was gone scouting when they told that Bedrock turned to Draconicoil."

"We should go warn the crystal paladins! They'll know exactly what to do!"

What were all the mutations again?

"Draca-like Discord? You mean there are more of them?"

"Bedrock was actually some being of horrible power that is causing trouble in addition to the giant horrible dragon that's gathering power off in the distance. He's also responsible for that giant tree."
"If they're still there."
I'll think a moment.
"Ah, yes. Here, Amber."
I'll hoof her the jar of Stardust.
"You can present this to the paladins when you arrive."

I tilt my head looking at Shortcake.
"Whats a Discord?"

"You heard me. When we comfronted him about the tree, he revealed his true form."

"I met him back in Tall Tale, but he was gone since then. He just returned. He was the one to catch me and carry me out of the blast."

"I already grabbed a bag myself, but thanks anyway!"

"Looks like it! Iris just said so!"

"He's got excellent timing."

I'll nod. And then return the jar to my bag, not the bag of holding. Going to need to get that sorted, eventually…

"I don't think it was coincidence. I think Lord Pyrrus sent him."

There is. And a black cube you've never seen before.

You have wings.
Amber is so shiny she gives light.

You don't know the one of Vilina yet, as she keeps herself covered in a blanket.
You might have heard Iris has a deep manly voice now.

You also recognize the phoenix Mabel now carries.

"WOW" Star looks amazed.

"So… what now? The fuck can we do against something like him?"

"You think he is responsible?"

"It's a weird thing. My sister says it is like a chaos elemental, or something."

"And he didn't kill any of you?"

I walk over to you.
"What's up with her voice, by the way?"

I'll clunk my hooves.
"I never did cast that spell for you, did I?"
"I'm not sure if he was responsible for the dragon, but what we can do is get word to the Princesses. They took one down before, they can do it again. Probably."

"No way they'll have left already after we took out that bear!"

"Uh… let me check my book!"

Look into the book I'm guarding. Anything about this stuff mentioned? [1d10]

"It's because of that ursa explosion and the star dust mutation stuff!"

Roll #1 10 = 10

"Er, excuse me for a minute."

I go into my tent and check on my cookbook.

"Language. We don't know yet, but we intend to find out."

"I think he easily could have, if he wanted to."

"Not yet, no."
"It can wait just a bit longer, don't worry."

I nod at this upon hearing it.

"So this Draconicoil Discord is something like an elemental? Or is it alive? or dead?" I starting to get confused.

Black cube?
I look at it then poke star in the back and show it to her, not touching it.
"Dont touch it pony, any idea what it is?"

I'll nod.
Then head over to Vilina.
"You doing alright? You've not said much."

"Like they'll fucking do anything…"

"I'll use whatever language I damn well please."

In my tent.

"I promised to wash Amber's mouth with soap if she kept doing it."

Star looks at it and shrieks.
"I thought Warren had that thing."

Vilina opens her mouth.
"WARREN" shouts Star.
she points towards the black cube Snacks has in his paws.

It's there where you left it.

The book has long verses about the Discord the great Trickster, and him being the reason ponies founded the Empire.
To cut is short, the book indicates only the power of Harmony can counter a draconequus, wether it flows from the Crystal Heart or the Elements of Harmony or the Tree of Harmony.

I stick it in my saddlebag.

I go back out and-
"Why has no one burred that damned thing!?"

I'll look at the cube, then Snacks, then Mabel.
"Mabel, I thought you had the cube!?"

"Oh! Oh! Oooh! It says here we need the power of harmony to counter a draconicunt!"

Look at all of them with a confused expression.
"What the heck is that cube and why nopony tells me anything here?"

"Well I'm not Amber."

"Wait, what the… I thought we did bury that thing!"

"It's evil is what it is."

"Did we?"

"What?!" I look at Star confused.
"What is it?"

"eerrr…." I look at them confused.

"You are a bad influence if you speak like that. I am asking a simple thing, kindly."

Perk my ears and check my bags.
Isn't it there?!

"That cube is a bad thing, Soil. And we're going to give it to the paladins to be destroyed."
"Snacks, you need to drop that right now. It's dangerous."

"Well everything is evil around here lately!"

"That's like not saying anything!"

"It's CURSED."

"That's because I don't know anything about it!"
I'll shake my head.
"I would have dropped it into the burning pits of the Firelord's forges if he had allowed it. But we could only get the one favor from him, and that was moving and delaying the volcano."

I then emptied my bag of the black cube.
"What is it?"

I scrunch.
"That dumb cube gave me nightmares and whispered to me!"

"Not like he really cared for that, the volcano was exploding anyway."

"It's a bad thing, Snacks. I've no clue how bad, just that it is. And it talks to you."

"It's bad news."

It falls on the ground. Just another black cube.

"Well, you and Snacks took good care of that, Soil. I'm sure the locals would thank you if they knew you did it."

Stomp on it.

Roll #1 4 = 4

"But how did it end up in Snacks bag if its bad news? Snack didnt put it there nor let anyone touch it."

I just tilt my head as it lands.

"I thought we did…"

"Why do you care so much? Amber should be able to swear if she fuckin' wants to."

"I have no idea."

You hurt your hoof stomping it.
It hurts very bad.

It looks weird, it looks wrong, but you can't put your finger on why.

I stick out my tongue at her.

No, it isn't there.

"Because I think we've been underestimating it so far. Regardless, Mabel will carry it until we get to the paladins, and they'll know of a way to destroy it. And if it starts talking to you, ignore it."

"Does it make you any wiser?"

"Be careful with it."

Pick up the cube.
"How did it get out of my bags in the first place."

"Maybe…maybe it can move?"

I avert my gaze

"Talking?!" I look at Warren confused.
"Yes Snack agree's we better bring it to the paladins.

"Now who shall carry it?"

"So Mabel donkey will carry it? Works fine." I nod at her.

You feel the cube looking at you when you say that.
It doesn't have eyes, but you feel it.

"You be careful Mabel!"

"Oh… that's freaky!"

"Uhh, it's looking me, guys."

"er, looking at me."

I hide behind Melody.

"It hasn't effected me while I carried it."

"…that is something unpleasant to think of, but a possibility."

"Don't worry."

"You want a piece of this, all you gotta do is ask~"
I flash her a grin.

"Does it need to?"

"…the fuck are you talking about Shorty?"
I look at the cube.

"Just ignore it if it talks. Nice wings, by the way."
Now… I should be able to focus on Vilina for all of a moment.
"Let's try this again… are you alright?"

"A piece of what?"

"Why do you do it then?"

She looks up. Her voice breaks as she says.
"I'm a fucking monster, of course I'm not."

It looks weird but it doesn't have eyes, how can it look?

Melody's butt might be staring at you~

"I don't know, it's just…looking at me."

"Thanks. Melody is taking me flying later, want to come with?"

"… What?"

[1d10] to not stare back.

Roll #1 5 = 5

"Ah Snack see's." I grin.
"But why is that?"

I then look at Star.
"So where is Star pony when all of this happened?"

"What do you mean?"
I'll shake my head.
"I get the feeling I'll be needed on the ground. And I wouldn't want to intrude."

"Maybe it's because I meditate often."
"Maybe because I'm a stubborn donkey."

I chuckle.

"Because… I fuckin' want to? Why is it so important to you?"

I don't trust that fucking thing…
I go over and poke it.

I don't understand any of this…
How's Indy doing?

Man, it's so big. And feels so good to slap.
Why doesn't she have a dick?

You poke it, but it just behaves like a normal cube. That is, it doesn't do anything.

She reaches to your ear.
"I….have five legs now…"
She can't look at you.

"Uh…I was here, helping Iris…."

Indy has rolled up.
Trying to get some zzzzzs.
He stands up as you approach though.

"Hey Indy! Are you okay?"

I'll think a minute.
"Perhaps we should get a bit of privacy. This way."
And I'll lead her to my tent.

"One day, play a game. Replace every swear word with something else. Use your creativity. You will see how much more you can say that way. Maybe then you will undertand."

I sighed.
"Snack is worried that Star was hurt, its good she is not." I pat her head.
"Also good job helping the two of them specially Iris pony." I raise a thumbs up.

"err.. alright." Take good care of black cube so it dont go in my bag again.
"Or is it Mabel pony who dropped it?" I give her a sly look.

Because she's not Mwandishi, that's why.

"If I were that clumy, I doubt I would be still alive today."

"What the fuck…"
I kick it.

"I think I'll pass."

"It may just be an assumption, but judging by the way you two look at each other, it's rather obvious as to why Melody was so keen on rescuing you while in the air."

I blush.
"Well, yeah, but why does that mean you can't fly with us?"

He stretches.
"Bit sleepy…long day. Tree. Bear. Draconut."

She tries to stand up while covering herself.
You quickly set up the remains of your tent a bit away and lead her inside.

It's nothing, forget about it.
Wait, did you think that or did you hear that?

Of course.

"It was the least I can do. I'm glad that nasty draconequus didn't hurt us or you…"

The fu-
Is this thing messing with my thoughts again?
I kick it harder.

Roll #1 7 = 7

"Because I can tell when I would be a third wheel."
And then I'm off in my tent.
"Alright, let's… take a look, then."

"As you wish.
Do sleep on it, and consider this proposal."

"Yeah… We really took a ride to crazy town!"

He looks around.
"We're in forest!"

She stumbles awkwardly.
"Eh….I'd rather….not."

You give it a good hard kick.
You feel validated.
Goddamn that feels good kicking things, you should kick things more, like Mabel, kick her.

I giggle.
"Crazy forest then!"

"Or any of us, that is good. Snack is just glad Star is safe." I grin.

I stretch my arms
"So when are we planning to leave this place and go back to town?"

No. Shut up.
Is there a hole near here that I can toss this stupid thing down?

"I swear on my honor that I shall neither laugh nor gawk."
I'll hold a hoof over my heart.
"But if you'd prefer not to show it, I'll just give you my cloak here, and I'll wait outside while you put it on."

I walk over to her.
"What's wrong?"

"First we got to check in with the crystal paladins!"

Give her a worried look.

"Snack thought they are in town?" I tilt my head.
"No matter, at least now Amber has a chance to full fill her dreams is it right?" I smile

"They're close by, I can sense it! I bet Star can sense it too!"

There's one.
A big hole.
Do it faggot.

She chuckles.
"Your gentlestallion act is really annoying sometimes, you know."

Man, that cube is weird.

Sorry, I meant I walk over to Vilina.

"Isn't it just?"
I'll hoof over my cloak.
"But I've found that if you're pleasant, ponies are more likely to look the other way."

"So Crystal ponies can sense each others? That is new."

"Nothing's wrong… this cube is just fuckin' unsettling me…"

That doesn't seem like a good idea…
Maybe I should just back away…

Shortcake is here too and Vilina grabs her blanket a bit tighter…
"I'm…I got hit by that explosion OKAY?!?"

You a coward?
You've always been a coward.
That's why you ran away from home, instead of facing up to your family.
Look how pathetic you are.

"It's just a feeling in my gut."

Pat Indy on the head and let him rest. Little dragon needs his sleep!
… Is Tullip still mad?

I spread my wings.
"It was actually pretty neat."

"It did that to others too.
That's why I am safekeeping it until we find a way to destroy it."

"I had gathered that, yes."
Drape the cloak over her, and then walk over to Shortcake.
"Perhaps we should give her a bit of privacy for a moment?"

I'm not a fucking coward. I-
I- I'm smarter than that. This piece of shit isn't going to control me. I'm not going to be fucking controlled.

Roll #1 9 = 9

Sorry I'm tired and I'm missing posts, I should sleep soon.

"Crazy forest…zzzzzz."

Tullip is still fuming and sitting near her tent.

You don't let this thing control you!

Right, I should go to bed

That's fuckin' right. You get out of my mind you piece of shit cube.

"But I want to help her."

"Calm down, please. Do you want a hug? it's okay."

"Miss Tullip?"
Carefully approach her.

"The way we can help her right now is by giving her some room."

Approach Mabel.
"So what is that black cube? Where did donkey find it?" I scratch my head.

"I didn't find it, and I don't know what it is. All I know it is evil.
Remember that strange thing that attacked us? That armored pony before the tree? It wanted this."

Remembering the armored pony I began to stiffen up a bit and get serious.
"Snack see's…. perhaps it is an artifact used… for something."

"Hmmm…. " I sit down and think.
"Draconocoil Bedrock, Undead large dragon, Black cube and that armored pony…. what has it all in connection."
"Well besides from them being bad news and all." I scratch my head.

"The cube might not have something to do with Bedrock, not directly. He must have know it gives people nightmares, that's why he wanted it to be around us. To create chaos of the mind."

"But why give it to us specifically? Bedrock draconocoil could have given it to someone of royalty like one of the many dog kings or one of the pony princess and that would wreck more havoc." I frown as I sit thinking.

"I guess he wanted to see it happen to us, and he know we had no way to destroy it… I don't know."

"That and with that armored pony following us… yes Snack is getting confused to it all." I frown.
Hmm… I nod at Mabel and put a paw on her shoulder.
"Keep it secret to anyone outside of our party. Keep it safe."

I look back and nod.
"I will do my best, but if it got out of my bag one time, there's no promise it won't do again.
It's almost as if it can think."

I nod at her and just sit next to her jsut letting time pass.
