[Character Sheets and Information: http://goo.gl/y9CC4 ]

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

495182

>>495178
I didn't even know that! No wonder my book got a little wet!
"Well… it's not like ponies never fight for real when it's raining!"

495191

>>495182
She nods. "I guess that's true..I'll go get my sword then…where do we fight?"

>>495186
As Indy grabs a few more gems he suddenly grows. He's now a tiny bit bigger than you.
He looks surprised but then hisses and grabs the pile of gold and runs for one of the doors.

>>495184
You're there.
The campfire is burning lightly, keeping a campfire going during rain isn't easy even if you have placed some cover above it. You should burn it higher before attempting to contact Pyrrus.

495194

>>495191
Look utterly surprised and chase after him.
"HEY!
Put that stuff down! It's not ours!"

495195

>>495191
"Uh… I'll set up a small arena!"
Gather some rocks and create a circle of them right next to the camp to fight in!

495201

>>495194
Indy doesn't seem to care and for a moment you could swear he had gem signs in his eyes.
He runs in the 1.right/2.left door with his gold and slams it shut.
'1d2'

>>495195
That's looking pretty good, even though it's a bit muddy.
Time for some mud wrestling.

Star arrives with a shortsword and steps into the Arena.
She holds it clumsily in front of her.

Roll #1 1 = 1

495202

>>495201
Slam that door open with all my weight!
'1d10+2'

Roll #1 10 + 2 = 12

495203

>>495201
Clumsily? That's no good!
Walk up to her and try to swat it out of her hoof. If her grip isn't strong enough…

Roll #1 9 = 9

495204

>>495191
Well, poke the fire brighter.
'1d10'

Roll #1 7 = 7

495209

>>495202
You slam it open and luckily for you it seems this was a ,rather large, closet. Indy sits on the other end on top of his pile of gold.
There are a number of bottles on the racks on the closet. Some of them covered with a cloth. Other open to inspect, though you'd have to look closer to see them clearly.

>>495203
You slam it out of her hooves easily.
"Hey! Why did you do that?"

>>495204
It's bright enough.
Begin the summoning?

495210

>>495209
Yes, start chanting.

495211

>>495209
"To show you that you need to have a good grip on your weapon, otherwise you'll get disarmed easily! Get a really firm grip on it and stand confidently!"

495215

>>495210
You chant and chant until the you hear a voice from the fire as if from far away.
"You have called…and I respond…what is it, young Mabel?"

>>495211
"R-right…good grip, okay."
She tries again '1d10+2'

Roll #1 3 + 2 = 5

495218

>>495215
Bow my head.
"Lord Pyrrus… I wanted to ask questions, if your time permits to answer me."

495219

>>495215
I scrunch and unsheathe my dagger.
"That's better, but still not as firm as it should be!"
I slowly approach her.
"Pretend I'm a bad pony threatening you, what do you do in response?"

495221

>>495218
"There is always time to answer the questions of genuine seekers of knowledge. My servants know how to do their job without me having to supervise them constantly."

>>495219
"…I don't know. It's a bit hard to imagine you as a bad pony."

495222

>>495221
"Thank you. My first question is then, where did the volcano go? I feel like I must know."

495224

>>495221
I bare my teeth at her.
"Grrrr!"

495231

>>495222
"We have moved it to a location off the coast of Equestria, underwater. The project is proceeding fastly. We are working day and night to get back on schedule."

>>495224
"That's…cute." She smiles.

495234

>>495209
I don't care for bottles while my pal is like that!"
"Hey, Indy, slow down now!
What's gotten into you?"
Slowly move towards him.

495235

>>495231
I nod.
"Thank you for telling me.
Is there any way I could contribute to upholding the Balance?"

495237

>>495231
"What? No way!"
Maybe I just need to look the same way Vilana looks when she's grumpy, try that! [1d10]

Roll #1 5 = 5

495239

>>495234
He growls at you.
"My gems!"

>>495235
"The only real way for a pony to contribute is to live a life in harmony with the Balance. Any great irregularities are not your concern, that is our job to deal with. You should focus your attention towards better understanding the Balance of the Elements, so you can better live in harmony with it.
However, I feel you are already taking steps in that aspect.
"

>>495237
You try to look grumpy.
Star giggles "Now you're just silly!"

495243

>>495239
"No. Not your gems!
They are Bedrock's! That's stealing!"

495244

>>495239
I scrunch. This isn't working at all! What am I doing wrong?
"Just pretend we're fighting in a real arena then! I advance on you holding a dagger, what do you do in response?"

495245

>>495239
I nod.
"I recieved a book, and started reading about them. I read about Air recently. Could you tell me more about the Elemental Lords of Air?"

495248

>>495244
Maybe you're too qt and shiny!
"I grab my sword and do this."
She swings her sword around.

>>495245
"They are quite different than us. The Breezies are far less prone to violent outbusrst than my servants. But they are shy, very shy. It would take time for one to feel comfortable enough to approach you.
They are a little more friendly towards pegasi and griffons though, because they both love flying.
"

>>495243
"But I want the shinies!" Indy's voice has changed a bit, its deeper somehow.

495250

>>495248
"You want the shinies? You don't deserve the shinies!
Not if you steal them from ponies who earnt them the honest way!
That makes you evil!"

495252

>>495248
"Don't just swing it around randomly! You'll get tired in no time, any decent opponent could easily exploit that!"

495253

>>495248
I smile.
"I'm afraid I can't change race, and I wouldn't want to, but can you tell me how to attemp to earn their trust then?"

495254

>>495253
"The pegasus stallion who went with you to my palace, he is a mage?"

>>495252
"Right."
She holds it still.
"I'm ready now."

>>495250
"But…… I WANT THEM."
He starts grabbing some of the bottles and putting them in his hoard.

495256

>>495254
"STOP THAT!"
Rush him, slam him to the ground.
'1d10+2'
"WHAT'S GOTTEN INTO YOU?!"

Roll #1 3 + 2 = 5

495257

>>495254
"Warren? He know some magic tricks, but I'm not sure to what extents… Why?"

495258

>>495254
Move in and feint with my dagger!

495262

>>495256
He grows a bit bigger with the few bottles.
He manages to block you and you're both wrestling for control.
He grits his teeth that are starting to look more like daggers now.
"The shinies are mine!"

>>495257
"Some mages have the ability to summon the Breezies down to the earth. Neither you nor this Warren are capable of that at this moment. However, there is a spell that could bring you up there. A spell that grants wings, your friend should be able to perform it."

>>495258
Block '1d10'

Roll #1 8 = 8

495263

>>495262
She blocks it pretty well.

495264

>>495262
I nod.
"I'd love to try flying, for sure.
How will he be able to learn this spell?"

495265

>>495262
"Get it together!
What's wrong with you!?"
Push him down.
He's just out of his mind! He needs time to think!
'1d10'

Roll #1 1 = 1

495266

>>495263
Good, that's what feints are supposed to do!
While she's distracted, try to sweep her legs from under her.

495267

>>495266
[1d10]

Roll #1 5 = 5

495271

I believe I was headed to the pot with Vilina, since the mimic mess has been managed.

495275

>>495264
As you're wrestling for control, the closet swings open again.
There stands Bedrock and if an angry gaze could kill both of you would have been torn to pieces right now.

>>495264
The fire cracks and a small piece of partially burnt paper flies out.
You catch it and see some runes drawn upon it.

>>495266
>>495267
And she '1d10'

>>495271
You both arrive there.
As Amber said, she put the pot of the fire and it isn't burnt.
Vilina looks at it."Guess we should take a bite as well."
She grabs a bowl and fills it with soup.

Roll #1 10 = 10

495276

>>495275
>>495267

She jumps in time and you have almost get swept off yourself!

495277

>>495275
"I suppose so. At least she took it off the fire before running off."
I'll get myself a bowl as well.

495279

>>495275
>>495276
"H-Hey!"
Tackle her! [1d10]

Roll #1 2 = 2

495280

>>495275
Stare back.
"I've been looking for you!"
And bonk Indy on the head!
'1d10+2'
"You calm down now!"

Roll #1 1 + 2 = 3

495282

>>495275
Look around. Is the mimic problem solved?
Where are the others

495285

>>495275
Look at the note, then back at the fire.
"My deepest thanks, Lord Pyrrus."

495289

>>495277
You got yourself a bowl of good soup.
It smells delicious.

>>495279
And she '1d10'

>>495280
He looks at both of you and a hoof goes into his bag.
"Both of you have exactly 10 seconds to explain to me what both of you are doing here."
His voice is rasp and all the usual merriness is gone from his voice.
Even Indy in his current state seems….uneasy.

>>495282
star is sparring against Amber, Mabel is near the fire, Soil is gone, Iris is collecting the books. Warren is eating with Vilina.

Roll #1 6 = 6

495290

>>495289
"I was looking for you! The shield broke! And we found funny-looki-
Wait that doesn't matter! Indy's gone crazy!"

495291

>>495289
Grand.
"So, Vilina, I'm not much one for smalltalk, but if you've a question about anything, I'd rather answer that than fumble about for some way to start a conversation."

495293

>>495289
"Aaaaah, I'll best you!"

495294

>>495289
That mimic incident really woken up everybody.
Lets go and cheer on Star, coach her on whats to be done against Amber.
'1d10'

Roll #1 8 = 8

495299

>>495285
"It requires willpower to learn. This Warren will have to concentrate for this spell. Fly into the heavens carrying something as tribute.
The Breezies love colorful flowers. They will come.
"

>>495290
"Did he now…he must have gone really crazy to think he can get away with stealing from me…and what are you doing here? Didn't you notice the big Do Not Disturb sign out there?"

>>495291
"Why are you with these dorks?"

>>495293
She manages to get the best of you.
She has a cocky grin.
"Amber, stop holding back!"
+2 to Stars next roll because of Snacks cheering.
She attacks with her blade '1d10+2'

>>495294
You cheer on Star who gets a +2 to her next roll.
As for coaching, you'll have to tell her that.

Roll #1 1 + 2 = 3

495301

>>495299
"He's just got hungry, I'm getting him out!"
Frown at Bedrock.

495303

>>495299
Bah! Push her off and pin her down! [1d10]

Roll #1 10 = 10

495306

>>495299
"You know, sometimes I ask myself the same question."
I'll chuckle.
"But it boils down to a bit of circumstance, and maybe a little friendship."

495311

>>495299
"Watch out for pony head and front hooves, that is their fast and dextrous part. Dont attack her flank!"
Call out on Star!
"Get out!!"
'1d10'

Roll #1 5 = 5

495312

>>495299
"I will keep that in mind.
Anything I should avoid with them?"

495315

>>495301
"Oh, don't worry. I'll handle that." says Bedrock with a grin.
One of the bottles rolls off the shelves into your hooves, there's something inside…something small and moving. You can't see it too clearly.

>>495303
>>495299
>>495311
Amber stops holding back and pushes Star back into the ground.
"I yield! I yield!"

>>495306
"But they're so….dumb, well perhaps with the exception of mister Bedrock. Your talents could be spent far better…"

>>495312
"Do not get emotional in any way. The Breezies might seem random and cheerful but they're creatures of pure reason. Anger or happiness is misplaced in their company. Use logic at all times when dealing with them.
Try to get an audience with either the Lord of the South or the East. I know them and they know me, they'll be more lenient with you.
"

495317

>>495315
"Whoa now! Hooves off Indy!"
Stand between the… Thing and my dragon pal.

495319

>>495317
You're referring to Bedrock?

495320

>>495315
"Hah!"
Help her up.
"You got too confident and let your guard down!"

495322

>>495315
I laugh at the sight of two crystals wrestling each other.
Now all we need is mud….

Anyway stand up and help both of them up.
"That is a goof fight, Snack is amused Start is able to hold back Amber that long."

495323

>>495315
Nod again.
"I will do so.
Once again, I thank you. It was an honor to be speaking with you again."
Bow before the fire.

495324

>>495315
I'll let out a small laugh.
"I suppose they are, or at least Soil is. Amber is simply naive, and Snacks is a bit of a fish out of water. But I wouldn't trade them for much of anything. They've saved my life, and I theirs, too many times to just discard them."
I'll take a bite of soup.
"And as for Bedrock, he's a bit conniving, really, and he's full of secrets. I trust him about as far as I can throw an Ursa."

495325

>>495319
To the thing in the bottle.

495333

>>495322
The whole thing is mud actually, it's raining.

>>495320
>>495322
"Thanks, Snacks."
You're both up.
"Yeah, I'll try to do better next time. You're too strong, Amber."

>>495323
The voice fades again.

>>495324
"He's cunning, this Bedrock. You might be right, not to trust him…"

>>495325
You look better at the bottle and there's a tiny griffon inside it, banging against the glass.
You look up again to see Bedrock blowing a powder over both you and Indy.
Roll.

495336

>>495333
'1d10'

Roll #1 2 = 2

495338

>>495333
"Well, he's also offering his crafting service to us in exchange for errands and guarding him while he travels. We have little choice at this point than to trust him. At least insofar that he won't do something to our gear that we don't want him to."

495339

>>495333
I grin.
"You'll get better in no time, you've got the talent for it!"

495342

>>495333
The better
"Both ponies must clean each other up or you two might get catch a cold." I scratch my head.
"Also if Star likes to train, she can ask Snack about pointers of how to fight. If not both pony and dog can spar together."

495344

>>495339
Look at Amber.
"She did good no?"

495347

>>495344
"She needs more training! Also, ponies fight differently from how you fight because you have those… paw things."

495349

>>495333
Hmm..
Stand up and find Warren.

495353

>>495347
I close my arms together.
"Snack fight ponies before so perhaps Snack can teach her how to fight other races while Amber teaches Star how to fight how a pony fight."

495354

>>495336
You sneeze and open your eyes again.
You're in the tent of Bedrock, Bedrock is sitting at his table, you and Indy are sitting in front of it.
You have forgotten what happened when you went into the tent up till now. As far as you're concerned you and Indy just went into the tent. You've also got a sudden headache and feel like there's something missing.
Bedrock looks up from counting his money.
"Yes?"

>>495338
"Do you know where he gets all that stuff from? I've never seen such a collection of artifacts."

>>495339
She blushes. "Thanks."

>>495342
"What a good idea! But maybe not today, one defeat is enough for me for now."
She smiles.

>>495349
He's in one of the tents with Vilina.

495358

>>495354
"No, and honestly I don't think I want to know. His map of that weird labyrinth is enough to give me pause. And enough to make me not trust him with everything I know."

495360

>>495353
"That's true!"

>>495354
"Well, I'm going to get back to handing out the soup now. Bye!"
Let's get back to the kettle!

495362

>>495354
>>495358
Join them in the tent then.
"Hey, may I join?"

495365

>>495362
"Oh, hello there. I don't mind much."
I'll look at Vilina a moment.
"Do you?"

495366

>>495354
Groan.
This always happens when I slam too much.
"The shield broke!
And we found these inside the books!"
Pull out the mimics' eggs.

495371

>>495354
I just smile at this and nod.
"As Star wish, its late, very late now ever since you read those books."

495373

>>493497
"To future sucess!"
Raise my glass with him.

"Sorry to ask at such a moment, but I was wondering if you had heard anything from my family, the Picos, since I've been away."

495383

>>495358
"What labyrinth?"

>>495360
Vilina, Warren and Mabel are here.

>>495362
"Of course not."

>>495366
He looks it over.
"Mimic eggs. Not really worth much, though they can have fun results when you throw them amidst a pile of books, I once did that when I visited the Library of Cloptantinople.
Always got a few of these in my stash since then."

>>495371
"Right, I should get back to the tent. Are you coming with me?"

>>495373
"Ah, not a lot I'm afraid. But I heard there was something going on, some inner trouble. Called the whole family together, they did."
He pauses. "Uh..well most of the family at least, my apologies."

495385

>>495383
Groan.
"Not tasty?"

495386

>>495383
"The one he sent me through to make a delivery, and that he can't enter anymore."
I'll grimace a little.
"Dangerous place, and strange."

495388

>>495365
>>495383
Look at Warren, then at her, and raise an eyebrow.
"Some nice manners you have, Miss."

495389

>>495383
>>495362
>>495386
"Hey guys! You found the soup!"

495391

>>495389
I'll nod.
"I had expected to get back with help before you'd finished, but it seems to have come out alright."

495392

>>495383
I hesitate for a moment before I nod and follow her. "Pony needs to clean all those mud off you know." I pointed out.

495393

>>495389
Wave back at Amber as I go and follow Star.
"Perhaps Amber and Snack might have a good fight one day."

495394

>>495383
I should have expected something like that. I know I am not one of the 'favored' children, but even I should have received notice of anything requiring everyone's presence.

495396

>>495391
"Well if you guys already helped yourself to dinner, that means I'm free to go pray!"
Take out my book and fine a place where it's dry.

495398

>>495389
Wave at her with a smile.

495399

>>495385
"You wanted to eat them? That should work. Though I recommend putting some garlic and cheese on the omellette, it got quite a peculiar taste, or so I've been led to believe.
Now, let me have a look at that shield…"

>>495386
"What was it like?"

>>495388
"As do you."

>>495392
"Oh right."
She grabs a towel and tries to rub some off, but can't quite reach her back.

>>495394
You were away far. You expect them to make sure to know exactly where you are in a country that they're prepping to go to war with?

>>495396
Perhaps near the fire?

495401

>>495399
Grow all happy once I hear that.
"Oh, I got the fire essence! And the Manticore blood!"

495402

>>495399
That works!
Kneel down and close my eyes.

Lady of love, hear my prayers…

Roll #1 8 = 8

495403

>>495396
"Well, have fun with that."
I'll wave her as she goes.
>>495399
I'll think a moment.
"It was mostly long hallways, with curtains over the entrances and an endless number of doors. And it moved while you were in there."
I'll frown.
"But it's not the shifting and getting lost that's the dangerous part. It's what else is in there with you. Or could be in there with you."

495407

>>495399
"You are right. I don't believe we've been properly introduced. You might know, but I'm Mabel."

495408

>>495399
"What? They intend to go to war with Equestria? I have to warn them! What's the fastest way there? Is the weather good for flying? SHould I take tunnels?"

"Just my luck. I get back and I might just have to run off again."

495409

>>495399
"There is still mud here, let Snack help Star out."
Seeing her having troubles I step forward and help her clean herself..
'1d10'

Roll #1 6 = 6

495411

>>495408
Are you saying that both to the Lord? because I was under the impression that in >>495394
you were talking meta to me

495413

>>495411
To the Lord. I forgot to use the quotes. Sorry.

495417

>>495408
"Not just your family of course. The King is, the Great Houses are, as always, well informed. And, while it might be a bit presumptuous of me, but if they did not invite you, they might not want to listen to your counsel."

>>495409
You help pretty nicely.
"Thanks, Snacks. You're so helpful to me. I wish there was something I could do to repay you."

495420

>>495417
pls >>495402

Roll #1 7 = 7

495423

>>495401
"Good…I think we can start some proper crafting soon then." Bedrock grins.

>>495402
You are filled with a warm feeling in your chest and you know you have the Lady's attention.

>>495403
"That sounds really, really creepy."

>>495407
"Vilina." She gives you her hoof. "From Tall Tale."

495424

>>495417
"Repay? Snack just cleaned Star." I raise an eyebrow before chuckling.
"If pony wants to help, pony can also do the same favor and clean Snacks back."

495426

>>495423
Shake her hoof.
"I have heard rumors about you, some pleasant, some not so pleasant."

495429

>>495417
"Confound this."

"I, as much as any other gryphon here, would prefer the ponies be part of Hyperborea. I've been to their lands, each of them lost to lawlessness and whatever strongclaw happens to come by at the time. But, what i'm worried is not about the Equestrians, but of all the beasts their lands seem to be awakening. There have been all manner of monsters that I have dealt with, but even I doubt we could fight off that creature without suffering heavy casualties in a straight battle."

495430

>>495423
"Ohhh yeah!
And let's fix the skull back!
So, what do we need?"

495431

>>495423
"It wasn't pleasant, near the end of the trip."

495434

>>495426
"Pleasant? That would be a first."

>>495424
"Okay, hold still." '1d10'

>>495429
The Lord scratches his beak.
"You say there is a creature there that could stand against the combined might of the Griffons? That is quite a claim!"

>>495430
"We got most of what we need. However, what will we do with those shield pieces? I could fix them, but I seem to recall last time that you made a new one yourself."

>>495431
"What happened?"

Roll #1 1 = 1

495436

>>495434
"I died."

495437

>>495434
She cleans you off very roughly.
I don't think she knows what she's doing.

495438

>>495434
"Just keep the skull from it!"

Now, go outside and chop down another tree! Time to make myself a bigger, better shield!

Try not to squee.

Please continue to provide me with the divine powers I need to defeat the wicked and heal the wounded. I am but a humble servant of your will, honored to serve you until the end of days. If I stray off this path, punish me so that I may righten myself again. Guide me and my friends among the right path… especially Vilana!

495442

>>495434
Smile.
"I believe in impressions more."

>>495436
Turn my head.
"Excuse me?"

495449

>>495442
"Yes. Not a fun experience."

495450

>>495434
"It leveled a good part of a town without noticing, and even direct blows to its heart with my new-found companions seemed to have given it more vigor."

"As much as I believe in the strength of our people, going after it with an army simply means it doesn't have to go far to cause as much damage in one place. Worst of all is that we can no longer locate it. Every tie we felt like we were closing in, another creature appears."

495451

>>495449
"I can imagine!"

495452

>>495436
"You're an undead? You seem pretty lively for an undead."

>>495438
Lots of trees here.
You chomp down one about as big as a large house and 3 times as thick as you. But this way you'll definately have enough, right?

>>495441
She doesn't answer in words but you are filled with a feeling of total assurance that everything will work out in the end.

>>495450
"That seems most grave…Dare I ask, I have received some unsettling reports lately. Of an enormous dragon to the south, I didn't put much belief in it. Is this the creature you speak of?"

495454

>>495434
>>495437
I just scratch my chin, she really is not that accustomed to living outdoors. Help her and clean myself up.

"Thanks little pony." I stand up and get ready to go back to my tent.
"Does Star need anything from Snack? Just tell Snack about it."

Do I have a tent of my own?

495456

>>495452
Definitely!
And since I'm strong now, much stronger than before, carve a small big shield!

"Not… exactly. It seems that the Laughing One didn't want me dead at that exact moment. So I was brought back and summarily booted out. I suppose that beats cluttering up his labyrinth with corpses…"
I'll shake my head.
"The worse part is what killed me."

495460

>>495452
I smile.
Thank you, Savior!
Put away my book safely and get back up.
"Hahaha!"

495461

>>495457
"What was it?"

495463

>>495452
"I pray to the Ancestors that it is. Another one and I daresay our armies are better suited to evacuating the Equestrians to our land and writing the rest off."

"Perhaps if I could reach my family and request some assistance. Even if they write me off, just explaining it as a scouting mission would be beneficial to everyone."

495466

>>495461
"Me. Only twisted and… wrong."

495467

>>495442
"Impressions can be deceiving as well. Especially first ones."

>>495454
Of course you do.
Not a big one of course.
"I'll just go to bed now Snacks." She gives you a kiss on the cheek. "And thanks for everything."

>>495456
You've got yourself another shield.

>>495457
She cocks an eyebrow.
"The Laughing One, isn't that the god of parties and clowns?"

>>495460
You should feel happy, paladin!

>>495463
"This is very grave news. You know Pico, perhaps we could do some further business together? Do you return for Equestria soon?"

495470

>>495467
Stroll happily back to Bedrock.

495471

>>495467
"Don't worry, I know all about that."

>>495466
"Your inner demon? Your ponified black wolf, so to say?"

495473

>>495467
"My intention had been to visit the family, but now I am not so sure. If you have any preference, I would be honored to hear them."

495474

>>495467
"Supposedly. He's also fond of jokes, some of which seem to be of the cosmic variety."
>>495471
"Not quite. It was me, but if I had chosen some different path. And it came at me over the corpses of several versions of Soil, Amber, and Snacks."

495476

>>495467
I am happy! Happy and shiny!
I should also try to meditate, get my thoughts sorted.

495477

>>495474
I wince.
"That must have been terrible…

On a brighter note, I wanted to ask you for something."

495479

>>495477
"What did you need?"

495482

>>495467
>Kissu
Stand there for a second before looking back at her.
"Snack is… errr .. ahhhahah…. thanks. Sleep tight Star." I pack what I have and leave for my tent.

Now that we are outside of her tent look around. Is Tulip doing her job or is she in her tent? Also look around on our vicinity if anything is moving.

"W-What?"

495484

"I know it's not an easy or little thing to ask, but-"
Give him the paper with the runes.
"There is still spell I'd like you to learn, and cast it on me. Not right now, but it's very important for me."

495487

>>495483
"I'll explain later."
>>495484
I'll raise an eyebrow at the spell, but nod.
"I can't make many promises, but I can try."

495489

>>495487
I smile.
"I know you'll be able to pull it off. That is part of the reason why I'm asking you."

495492

>>495470
He's in his tent. And points you to a door on the left.
"There's my mobile workshop put it in there and we'll start."

>>495471
"Yes…I can feel that. There's something of kinship between us."

>>495473
"You see mister Pico, we might be alligned to different Houses, but we are both loyal to Hyperborea, are we not? Your family might think less of you, but I can give you what you need to rise in their graces. Connections within the court and money. With my, silent of course, help, they would have to notice you.
And it just so happens that I am in need of an agent I can trust within Equestria."

>>495474
"That's why I don't like gods. Everything is always so weird with them."

>>495476
>>495483
Guess meditation will have to wait.

>>495482
Tullip is in her tent again.
But everything seems peaceful.

495494

>>495492
"Is there? Please explain."

495496

>>495492
Excitedly rush inside with all the materials.

495497

>>495489
"I'll do my best to not let you down, then."
>>495492
"True enough. But it's not like you can disbelieve them when they're everywhere."

495498

>>495492
"What would you have me do?"

495500

>>495497
"Thank you, Warren. I knew I could count on you."

495503

"Don't thank me yet, I haven't cast the spell."

495504

>>495492

[-Leaf Green-
Tha famous shield of the legendary shaman Leaf Green was said to have been made out of wood, yet extraordinarily resistant to all types of damage including fire.
According to the legend, Leaf Green once traveled to the edge of the world where he found a tree the size of a small mountain.
The tree spoke to him and after a brief while, impressed by Leaf Greens wisdom, gave him the honor of cutting his smallest branch. Out of this branch Leaf Green carved this mighty shield.
Others claim the shield was merely enchanted by a powerful geomancy spell.

>>495513
Tullip is in her tent, reading a book.
She's supposed to be on watch.

>>495518
"Yes, there is a consulate there. And that's EXACTLY why I need someone like you."

496905

>>496904
"Hey! I brought soup! … Aren't you supposed to be standing guard, miss Tullip?"

496906

>>496904
Is the rain starting to get up?
Will Vilana answer?

496908

>>496906
Sorry, missed Vilina there.
It's slowly stopping.
"I am not one to give up. Not here, not ever."

>>496905
She reaches for it.
"Great, thanks. And I am standing watch. I just don't feel like standing in that damn rain."
She takes a taste of the soup.
"Yum."

496910

>>496904
Well, let's take a gander at that scroll Mabel passed me. If she plans on having me cast it, I'll need to know how.

496911

>>496908
Good.
Maybe the rain brought out some nice flowers too.
"It's just a matter to how you handle your mistakes."

496912

>>496908
"But how can you watch anything from inside here?"

496915

>>496910
The scroll details how to cast the spell.
It seems pretty straightforward, except for one detail. The spell requires a certain skill in the Air element.
You can either
>Try to force it (DC8 to cast properly)
>Spend an SP to learn Air element
>Talk to Star or Bedrock about magical trinkets to aid you.

>>496911
"Mistakes? What I did wasn't a mistake, it was society that forced me into that life, branding me with a crime I didn't commit."

>>496912
"I can still hear if there's somepony out there right."

496916

>>496915
"But the sound of rain can block out most of the noise!"

496917

>>496915
"Mistake was probably the wrong word, yes…
Unfortunate circumstances would be more fitting."

496918

>>496915
Hmm. Well, Ice is just a combination of water and air elements, so perhaps it wouldn't be too difficult to pick it up.
>>496915
I'll flick an ear at that.
"Well, at least now you've got a chance to start fresh. Not many ponies get that chance."

496919

>>496918
"A record is forever."

>>496917
"You could say that. I haven't been able to travel freely or say who I am for so long."

>>496916
She flicks her ear.
"…Uh…nono I can definately hear it."

496920

>>496919
I just scrunch at her.
"You shouldn't shirk your duties, miss Tullip!"

496921

>>496919
"You can only appreciate freedom once you've lost it, right?"

496922

>>496919
"Perhaps, but it's not like your average every-pony would have access to it. Once we're done, you could find a nice town, settle down, open a small apothecary… a mare of your talent should have no trouble finding honest work."

496923

>>496921
"But I shouldn't have lost it. I was framed. You think I liked leading that drug smuggling ring in Tall Tale? No, but there was no other type of work for ponies branded like me.
And I was pretty good at it, if I say so myself."

>>496922
"Who would trust me? You ponies don't even trust me."

>>496920
"I'm not! I just…do it my own way. Nothing wrong with that!"

496924

>>496923
"It's not efficient at all! I'll just take over from you then, if you don't want to do it properly."
I huff and walk out. Go over to the campfire and stand guard.

496925

>>496923
"Sometimes you have to do things you didn't want to, and get good at it, yes.
And I may not trust you just yet, but I understand you."

496926

>>496923
"Well, that's due to circumstances of our meeting."
I'll shrug.
"A moderately large town far enough away from Tall Tale would have no idea who you are. Besides," I'll give a small smile. "I think they'll come around eventually."

496927

>>496924
She huffs.
"Fine, I can do it.
I'll prove it."
She grumbles as she puts on her armor and stands next to the campfire.
"Now we're both wet!"

>>496925
"I know you do, Mabel."

>>496926
"Why would they? And it still wouldn't clear my name in my hometown."

496928

>>496927
"Well at least somepony is looking out so the others can relax!"
I stick out my tongue at her.

496929

>>496927
"I'm glad we understand each other then."
Smile at her.

496930

>>496928
She huffs.
"That's so uncouth"

>>496929
She simply nods.
"So…I heard you worked in the circus, Mabel?"

496931

>>496930
"What does that even mean!?"

496932

>>496930
I nod.
"Yup, that I did!
I did duelist shows, but my main attraction was sword swallowing."

496933

>>496927
"Like you said, some of them aren't quite the brightest brand in the fire, so they tend to put stock in actions. So long as you are friendly with them, they'll grow to like you in turn. It will take a while, certainly, especially for Soil since he's got a rather black and white view of things, but it'll happen. Amber's already trying, after all."
I'll readjust my monocle.
"And let's be honest, do you even want to go back to your hometown? Because if clearing yourself there is that important to you, we might be able to convince Bedrock into taking a detour if we end up going that way."

496934

>>496904
"Ooooh!"
Turn around.
"BEDROCK! Where is the edge of the world?"

496935

>>496931
"It means that it's not dignified! I thought you were a paladin?"

>>496932
"Impressive, I always liked seeing sword swallowers…"

>>496933
She waves her hoof.
"Nah, I just hope one day I get some revenge on those bastards."

>>496934
"Have you ever been to the sea?"

496936

>>496935
"The best revenge, I've heard, is living well."

496937

>>496935
"I… I'm an initiate, but I'm getting there! And I am dignified, don't be so mean!"

496938

>>496935
"In Tall Tale!
And Near the farm, there was sea!"

496939

>>496935
"You did?"

496940

>>496936
"Whoever said that never got revenge the old fashioned way."

>>496937
"Pfft. You'll never be a paladin if you keep acting so childish! You're more like a big filly instead of a paladin."

>>496938
"Well, you know how the sea is really big right. Well, if you get all the way to the end, that's the edge of the world there.
Been there once….Quite an amazing sight."

>>496939
She nods.
"Ponies who can do that must have great control over their body."

496941

>>496940
"Okay, we gotta run there!"

496942

>>496940
Chuckle.
"It takes donkeys a lot of practice too."

496943

>>496940
I gasp and push her.
"I'm an adult, a grown mare! Don't call me a filly! You're just a… a big jerkface with a fancy tent!"

496944

>>496940
"Old-fashioned revenge is a bit overrated, really. Trust me on that."
I'll stand up.
"Now, I need to see Star about a book, so I'll leave you two ladies to chat."
Tucking the scroll in a spot it won't get wet, I'll head out of the tent in search of Star. If I pass Tulip on the way, I'll say hello.

>>496970
Nod again.

496973

>>496970
>>496969
Amber and Tulip.
And it's in the mud. Once they've finished making a mess of themselves, I'll ask what it's all about.

496974

>>496970
What?
Go and grab my axe and go outside. Whats happening?

496976

>>496970
I'll get the upper hand!
"Apologize!"

Roll #1 9 = 9

496977

>>496971
"You know, I asked the same question, and was summarily ignored. I was letting them get it out of their systems before asking again."

496978

>>496970
So there is a time-split?

>>496973
"What are they doing?"

496979

>>496978
No, the wing spell is not actually getting worked on right now, it's just another thing that's going on

496980

>>496977
Roll my eyes.
"Warren, for pete's sake."

>>496978
"I don't know, but I'm not waiting for somepony to get hurt to find out."

>>496976
"Amber!"

496981

>>496976
>>496979
I try to force them apart with my TK.
"Stop it you two!"
[1d10]

Roll #1 5 = 5

496982

>>496980
I perk up and jump back to my hooves.
"Uh!?"

496983

>>496978
"Arguing."

496984

>>496972
"Well, before going all the way to the edge of the world to go looking for a tree that might or might not be there, why don't we see if we can't enchant and create such a shield ourselves, here, fast?"

>>496974
Amber is pushing Tullip in the mud.

>>496976
You get on top of Tullip and push her face down in the mud.
She grumbles "…sorry."

>>496981
You don't really get them off each other.

496985

>>496983
"No kidding? I meant why are they doing that."

>>496984
I keep trying.
[1d10]

Roll #1 10 = 10

496986

>>496984
"Now, can one of you please tell me what this is about?"

496987

>>496982
"Come here right this instant!"
Point to the ground before me.

496988

>>496984
And I thought something serious is happening.
I put my axe down and approach the group.
"What is meaning of this?" I fold my arms.

496989

>>496984
Quick, pick her back up!
"O-Oh no! I'm sorry! That was really un-paladinlike of me! I shouldn't… I shouldn't have gotten so angry!"

496990

>>496986
>>496988
"Uh… well-"

>>496987
I droop my ears and walk over to Mabel.

496991

>>496985
You get both of them of each other.
The fight seems over already though.

>>496986
>>496988

"She attacked me!" pouts Tullip.

496992

>>496990
"Now, the others are curious too, what was that all about?"

496993

>>496991
>>496990
I just smile at the idea of them fighting in the mud,
I then look at Amber.
"Is Tulip pony saying is true?"

496994

>>496991
"Okay, now why did she attack you? I came in at the name-calling stage."
>>496993
"Not the whole truth, I think. But Amber did throw the first punch."

496995

>>496992
"I wanted to know why Tullip wasn't standing guard outside so I told her that she shouldn't shirk her duties… then I went outside to guard the camp myself and Tullip came after me. And… she called me a big baby so I got a little mad… and then I got carried away… Sorry."

496996

>>496990
"Where you trying to hit her to be her friend?"

496997

>>496994
"She told me I was a bad guard! I just responded in kind!"

496998

>>496995
I sigh.
"I know you find that subject touchy, Amber, but when have conflicts ever lead to anything good? Especially between friends?"

496999

>>496996
I shake my head.
"That wasn't even a thing…"

497000

>>496995
>>496994
I look at the rain and yawn.
"Shouldnt all of pony sleep now? Forgive and forget, Snack will do the guarding if no one wants too."

>>496997
I just look at her but dont comment

497001

>>496997
"According to her you were standing guard inside the tent. Usually one stands guard outside the tent. Is this true?"

497002

>>496998
"I'm sorry Mabel… I know I overreacted."

497003

>>497001
>>496997
"Amber's right. If you are guarding you stand outside the tent. That's how they do it in the books."

>>497002
"Why do you care so much about being a baby?"

497004

>>497001
"Well….yeah, but I was listening very well, and I looked out of the window! That's no reason to attack me!"

497005

>>497003
I scrunch.
"Because I'm an adult, a grown mare! I'm not a filly anymore!"

497006

>>497004
I'll shake my head.
"Guard duty isn't comfortable, Tulip. No matter the weather, you need to stand guard outside your tent."
>>497005
"If that were true, Amber, you wouldn't have attacked Tulip over a few harsh words."

497007

>>497005
"Adults don't get to fights over insults. Not serious adults anyway."
Be stern.

>>497004
"She was wrong to attack you, but she was right. Guard duty is very important. It could cost us very dearly if something gets into the camp that has no reason to be in there. You understand, don't you?"

497008

>>496984
Blink a few times.
"We grow a bigger tree?"

497009

>>497000
I just huff a bit irritated.

>>497005
I look at her getting more irritated.
"Snack gets woken up by antics done by a filly if Amber dont recognize."

497010

>>497006
>>497007
"I just gave her a little push… It escalated so quickly!"

>>497009
"… What?"

497011

>>497010
"That's how conflicts go, Amber. I thought better of you."

497012

>>497005
"So why do you care if she calls you a filly? It's just words."

497013

>>497010
"Amber is not a filly but from what Snack is hearing this is not the case."

497014

>>497003
>>497006
>>497007
Tullip looks fiercely at the 3 of you.
But then lowers her head.
"…I understand." she says.

>>497008
Bedrock opens his mouth, but pauses.
Then closes it again and thinks for a long time.
"You know, that wasn't what I was going to say…but yeah, that would be a great idea!"

497015

>>497012
"I know I shouldn't but… Nopony ever takes me seriously!"

>>497011
>>497013
I hang my head sadly.
"Sorry…"

497017

>>497014
Grin.
"So let's start it right now!"

497018

>>497015
I then yawn and stretch a bit.
"Now if no one wants to guard then Snack will do it. Any of you disagree?"

497019

>>497014
I'll pat her on the back.
"Good. Now, since this is cleared up, why don't you and Amber warm up a bath, and then relax? It was about time to change shifts anyway."

497020

>>497014
>>497015
"It's okay so long as you both learn your leason."

497021

>>497014
"Thank you. Please, be more responsible, for the sake of all of us."

>>497015
"You know that is not true, Amber."
I frown.
"I'd like you to think about what you did."

497022

>>497021
I scrunch at her, then shake my head and walk away.

497024

>>497017
"Right, right. No time to waste.
Allright, lemme think. Go fetch me some seeds and meet me outside."

>>497019
>>497020
>>497021
Tullip just keeps her head low.
"Yes, I'll try to do better…"she says monotonely.
She then starts walking towards her tent.

497025

>>497024
>>497022
I take a deep breath, then shake my head.
Turn back to my flower-picking-partner.
"Sorry about that. Let's find those flowers, shall we?"

Multiple apples for you. Big red ones.

It feels like the one you felt from that cube.
But Warren should have destroyed that one by now….

You feel a chill going over your back.
As if it suddenly got colder…
There's a noise coming from the bushes.

She did seem rather angry.
You find Star working on the tablets.

497039

"Is there something going on with our Consulate?"

497040

You choke on one of the apples and yadadada apple prince, blablablabla space yadadada dragon king blabla long story short, you arrive back with your seeds. Bedrock is standing in a small clearing.
In his hooves he's carrying a flask with a bubbling neon green liquid inside.
On it is written "DANGER. PROPERTY OF THE OFFICE OF THE HOLY INQUISITION. DO NOT OPEN."
Bedrock nods smiling. "Got those seeds?"

>>497034
You find him in Stars tent.

>>497035
Everything is dirty, Tullip had a nice bath however…

>>497036
"Sure, what do you want to know?"

>>497037
You look through the bushes…but nothing there.
There's another noise a little further into the woods.

>>497038
You start feeling uneasy.
Your shaman sense is tingling..roll.

>>497039
"Yes. And no. The current situation with Equestria is such that we're not sure if we can still trust couriers entering Canterlot to talk to our consolate. Messages could be intercepted and read. That's why I might need someone like you to carry those messages instead. Talk to my agent there and help if needed.
And by the ancients, don't get yourself caught by the Equestrians."
He corks open another bottle.
"What say you, Queren of the Pico clan?"

Looking back at the camp, I made my way further into the bushes while laying low.

>>497047
I'll pause a moment.
"…Excuse me, Star, this will take just a moment."
Leave the tent briefly.
"I tried to dump it in the elemental plane of fire. Unfortunately, it was either the cube, or moving the volcano, so it's still with us. Mabel has it for now, since it started talking to me."

497052

>>497051
"…it started talking to you?"

497053

You try to reach the bushes quietly but when you near it each time the thing seems to have moved a bit further already.

You can't quite place it.
Vilina continues "But I've seen how Amber looks up to you, and she's so sensitive, she might take it a lit-"
She stops and looks into the forest as well.
She sniffs the air and looks at you worried.
"Do you feel that?…there's something…in these woods."

>>497044
"Good lad. There's griffon called Grimholde in the Consolate. She's my agent. Watch out for her. She's much stronger than she looks."
He grins as he gives you another glass of mead.

No answer. The door isn't locked though.

You did…in the back of your mind.
But it grows silent again.
You suddenly hear movement and shouting in the forest.

>>497059
"A few months ago, a more radical faction of one of the Houses tried unsuccessfully to dethrone our King. Ever since it's all pretty hush-hush. These are dark times, young one. There are things moving, forces at work, not just here in Hyperborea, in Equestria too. Griffons are sticking to themselves. Even in Houses and families, there is little trust."

The green lights conveniently help…whatever those things are. Those lights are even moving a bit…slowly.
You hear Warren calling out behind you.

The passage seems to be lit by small green, moving lights on the wall.

>>499085
It's in great condition!
There's a small hole in the tree bark close to you.

>>499083
The apple fits in your hoof as you pluck it, the others are growing big however, soon they're as big as you and still growing!

You find the top of the tree and have a marvelous view of the surrounding forest, there's the ruined church with the statue, there's Shardstone, there's Mt. Laurelia with Canterlot on it on the horizon. There's a small village not too far from here you didn't visit before.
And there's something else, something large seems to be moving through the forest towards the tree. You can't quite see what, but the trees are bending at its passage.

Since Snacks hasn't rolled yet to see where he ended up in the tree…

Snacks awakes with a terrible headache.
The last thing you remember is the ground shaking, something bursting from the ground right against your head and then darkness.
You awake to find yourself high in the branches of a giant apple tree.
The apples of the tree are already bigger than you and still growing.
A bit down you see Mabel, Soil, Amber and Warren entering a little hole inside the tree…
Perhaps it might be good of you to follow them.

Rest
I'll type up the description of what is inside the heart of the tree in a sec.
Just letting Snacks get here for a sec.

501340

Also try to jump up and follow them down. Use supreme surivor as I follow them down.
"What happened!?!" I shouted to them.

501341

>>501340
An apple tree. A huge apple tree.
It sticks out far above the treeline.

Everyone
After making your way through the tunnel with the fluorescent Parasprites you enter a large room within the tree. There is barely any light but there are massive amounts of fluorescent parasprites here as well, giving you a vague idea of the outline of the room, somewhat circular with a very high ceiling. The shouting of Tullip came from here somewhere but worryingly it seems to have stopped, there's not enough light currently to see this room clearly but you have the distinct impression you're standing in some kind of mud.

Amber is now holding on to the unconcious hanging body of Tullip, if she falls down it will hurt a lot. Luckily the sticky stuff makes it pretty easy to hang on.

Tullip is still encapsulated, but on the ground, unconcious, but out of danger for now.

"Hehe….That." The tree starts screaming as you suddenly hear a loud scrunch from the bark. As if something is breaking through.

As the parasprite is out of commission, you all hear a loud crunch and a set of giant white teeth burst through the bark, another moment later and the bark is torn away, the cold wind hits your faces as the inner part of the tree is revealed to the outside world.
And then the cold wind turns into a warm stinking breath as the transluscent head of an Ursa Major peaks in. It roars covering all of you partly in its shiny saliva.

At this moment of connection become one with Fire and you feel your actions guided by the Firelord himself.
Your mere presence carries the Aura of Pyrrus, granting your allies a significant power boost.
But it is when the bear rears its head back in that you strike.
Rialing the pegasi in speed you gallop towards the head, jumping out of the tree and hitting the celestial mass, overloading it red with elemental power.
As the beast roars, it destabilizes and falls down towards the ground.
You are so filled with power that the idea that you're falling with it towards the ground barely bothers you. But then you feel a tug on your back. 2 claws gently grasping your flesh. You turn around to see a familiar Phoenix carrying you, slowing down your fall enough and quickly trying to land you out of reach of the Ursa.

The Ursa has destabilized. As it hits the ground it explodes into a torrent of magical energy. Everyone (except Mabel, for she's carried out by the Phoenix) must roll a dodge to hide away from the direct blast

>>504575
So you have.
You better fly over to check what happened to your friends who are in that giant hole in that giant tree….

>>504564
You got fully hit. As you come to you find yourself laying in a blue dust. And you feel different, as you check yourself you realize you have gained pegasi wings!

>>504553
The phoenix screeches and flies you back to the tree.
From here you can see a large circle around the now dead bear has been covered in the sparkling blue dust, all trees have discolored and become an eerie blue. The grass has crystalized.
You're near the others again.

You're freaking out, you try to gallop but by accident start flapping your wings instead and fly madly through the air.

>>504585
Inferni sits down on your knee, looking amused at the scene.

Everypony seems okay, Amber is just a lot shinier than usual, even emitting a small glow on her own. And Shortcake is flying uncontrollably through the air and could use some pegassistance.

Mabel misses a spot and is lucky Inferni bails her out again and softly flies her down instead of letting her fall to her doom.
Soils idea to just slide down on his shield works surprisingly well until he shield gets stuck in a brach and it takes 15 minutes to get it out.

You all make it down the base of the tree where there's a giant open clearing covered in blue dust and charred tree trunks where the Ursa exploded. You find Vilina, Star and Iris there.
Vilina is laying meekly and shaken underneath a blanket while Iris sits by her.

Star runs up "Oh thank the Saviour all of you are okay!"
She gives Snacks a hug.

Iris says nothing but smiles and waves at both of you.

"I was out of the blast… can you be more specific? Maybe I could try and help."

506703

>>506699
I look at Star and whisper.
"Did Star pony find out anything? Perhaps they are just shocked with explosion.

506704

>>506700
>>506701
Iris shakes her head.
Vilina just looks down and starts to cry.
You can't see what's underneath the blanket.

>>506702
>>506703
"Iris' voice…changed…she's really embarrassed about it. And Vilina…"
She shakes her head.
"Mabel, she grew another leg…"

>>506704
"If you're hurt just hiding it under the blanket is no good!"

>>506704
Drop my ears and rub my face with a hoof while taking a deep breath.
"…I'm not sure what to do about that. I'm sorry…"
Lower my voice
"Don't tell the others, not yet."

506707

>>506704
I scratch my head in confusion.
"I can't help you if you don't tell me what's wrong! If you're hurt, I can use a spell to fix it!"

506708

>>506706
She nods.

>>506705
Vilina shakes her head and keeps crying.
Iris gives her a hug and gives you a sign to shut up.

506709

>>506708
Shut up and look very, very sad and confused.

506710

>>506704
I just stare.

After a few seconds she says. "…where…the fuck…did that fucking tree come from…"

>>506715
She droops her ears as well and looks down.

>>506716
She shakes her head.
"The effects of Ursa dust are extremely unpredictable, but most of the time they go away after a few days….most of the time…"

But yes, approach him.
I'll bring him back to the others anyway.

He's next to his tent, packing a large amount of stardust in his bags.
The giant apples are nowhere to be seen.
Infenri screeches angrily at him as he comes into view.
He turns around and looks surprised at the bird. "What in the hell? Where did you get that thing?"

506736

>>506733
Pat her mane.
"It's okay. You heard Star. You will both be fine!"

506737

>>506732
>>506735
… okay, let's scoop up some more Star dust then.

Speaking of Star… "Star, did you see how shiny my coat looks right now!?"

506738

>>506737
Star doesn't know. Soil knows, I thought he'd speak up.

"Yeah, wow, I'm sorry I was so distracted I didn't see. It looks amazing."

506739

>>506735
Stop and bend a forehoof for him to perch on.
"Easy there, Inferni. I know what you're thinking."
Then shoot a glare at Bedrock.
"He's not a 'thing', and it doesn't matter right now. What matters is that we need to have a serious talk about your attitude. With everyone."

506740

>>506738
"I'm radiating light! It's crazy! … I hope it doesn't stick for too long though, it's going to be hard to sleep like this. I'm not afraid of the dark anymore, so I sleep without lights!"

506741

>>506739
Inferni spreads his wings and flies straight for Bedrock, clawing at his face and erupting in flames.
Bedrock tries to keep the bird off.
"Hey, cut that out!"

506742

>>506740
"How did that happen? I've never seen a crystal pony that shiny before…"

506743

>>506742

"It must have been this nasty stuff, because it happened after we finished the ursa!"
I glance over at Vilana.

"Okay, so I roughed things up a bit.
We got lots of stardust! And those giant apples will make us a fortune!
And…and Soil got his shield!"

506758

>>506757
Punch him in the guts once and then back away.
'1d10'

Roll #1 6 = 6

506759

>>506757
"We got an ursa dead, a weeping forest, and mutated critters.
Let me tell you this now, you will not make a fortune, not even a bit."

506760

>>506758
He winces at the blow and gets up again.
"Not even a thanks for getting you that shield?"

>>506759
"What's that supposed to mean?"

Amber
As you look at Bedrock a strange alien feeling comes over you. Roll.

506761

>>506757
>>506758
My ears perk up.
"Wow, wow! What's going on? He's actually the one who caused all this? Really!?"

506762

>>506760
"The tree gave me the shield. Because we helped."
Narrow my eyes.
"I should slam you to a wall for that."
>>506761
Nod.
"The seed said he didn't want to grow but he didn't listen!"

506763

>>506760
"I will not let you profit from throwing off the balance of Nature, that's what it's supposed to mean."

506764

>>506761
"Now I wasn't the one who killed the Ursa!
I just lured him here with all that maple syrup the tree made."

506765

>>506760
[1d10]
?

>>506762
I scrunch.
"I didn't know seeds could talk…"

>>506764
"But… why?"

Roll #1 7 = 7

506766

>>506765
"Of course!"

506767

>>506764
"Yes, you lured him on us. Put us all into danger. We had no choice but to fight."

506768

>>506762
He narrows his eyes.
"You should watch that mouth of yours Soil. It will get you in trouble."

>>506763
"I'm still not following. You ponies do that all the time. How many animals have you killed and used the spoils off?"

>>506765
"Because I thought it would be a great way to swat to flies in one stroke."

The feeling is strange but you recognize it as a form of holy power flowing through you. Perhaps you should discuss this with a true paladin sometime. But right know all you know is that it is telling you that the person you're looking at is evil.

>>506767
"You were going to fight him anyway."

506769

>>506768
Narrow them back in a very mean way.
"And you will do exactly what, little pony?"
'1d10+3'

Roll #1 3 + 3 = 6

506770

>>506768
… Evil? Like… evil evil?
I narrow my eyes at him.
"You didn't even warn us! That's insane! Crazy! Ponies got hurt because they weren't prepared to clear from the blast!"

506771

>>506769
He smirks.
"Cut your salary in half!"

>>506770
Like deep dark evil.
"It was on short notice. I apologize." It doesn't sound too sincere.

506772

>>506768
"Look around us!"
Point a hoof at the forest.
"How much time do you think the forest will need to heal?"

506773

>>506771
"I might just find another job."

506774

>>506772
"I think it looks a lot better actually.
Blue instead of green. Why, I could start a resort here. "Crystal Blue Sensation Resort" "

>>506773
"Well, you're fired!"

506775

>>506771
"… You… There's an aura about you that doesn't feel right. And you don't sound very sincere either!"
Take a menacing step forward.

506776

>>506775
He chuckles.
"Did you get a bit too much stardust in that shiny little head of yours? Gone totally bonkers finally?"

506777

>>506774
Keep staring menacingly at him.
'1d10+3'
>>506776
"I'm starting to dislike you. More and more."

Roll #1 8 + 3 = 11

506778

>>506774
"You think that?
Does Inferni need to show you again what Nature thinks?"

506779

>>506776
"What? Hey! I'm not bonking at all!"

506780

>>506777
He blinks.
But his smirk doesn't disappear.

>>506779
He laughs.

>>506778
He looks towards the phoenix.
"He'll back off if he knows what's good for him."
Inferni doesn't take it and flies back down, but this time Bedrock is ready and with a lightning fast punch swats him out of the sky and right against a tree.

506781

>>506780
Nooope.
Slam Bedrock to the ground!
'1d10+2'

Roll #1 3 + 2 = 5

506782

>>506780
I gasp and charge in to strike! Leap of Faith!

Roll #1 2 = 2

506783

>>506780
"You made a big mistake, Bedrock."
With a jump and a roll close the distance between me and him, and punch him in the face.
'1d10+'

506784

>>506783
'1d10+1'

Roll #1 6 + 1 = 7

506785

>>506781
He jumps over you as you charge causing you to slam a tree.
"Oh look Mabel, Soil hurt that poor tree! Why don't you chastize him?"

>>506782
You jump and miss as Bedrock simply steps aside.

All
Bedrock coughs "Well, I think our business arrangements are concluded here."
He takes out your contracts and shreds them.

>>506783
>>506784
Then a hoof out of nowhere and Bedrock bites the dust, seemingly unconcious.

506786

>>506785
Shake my hoof.
"You two, tie him up.
Take every little item off of him. I don't want any tricks up his sleeve when he wakes up."

Run over to my birdy.
"Inferni, are you okay?"

506787

>>506785
Look over at the unconscious Bedrock with an angry glare.
Sit atop him.

506788

>>506785
"I don't have a contract!"

>>506786
I look at her and nod, then search Bedrock. [1d10]

Roll #1 10 = 10

506789

>>506786
He nods weakly.
Then looks over your shoulder towards Bedrock, nodding to show oyu have to look there.

>>506787
>>506788
As Soil sits atop of him he wakes up and before Amber can search him he gets up with an amazing jump, throwing Soil off.
"Fine then, if you guys want to have it this way."

Bedrocks body suddenly shakes and his one back leg turns into a zebra hoof, the other into a griffon leg.
"I have many names you know, Bedrock, Nightfeather and a bunch of others. But most of all, I like the titles, the Trader of Terror,…."
His body stretched and becomes more snakelike
"The Merchant of Madness…"
His left front leg turns into a diamond dog paw.
"The Wholesaler of Woe, my favorite…."
His head turns into a griffons with the same bird.
"But really I am called Anarchy."

506790

>>506789
>with the same beard

506791

>>506789
Raise a brow.
"Really now?
Really?
Really?"
Groan.
SLAM!
'1d10+2'

Roll #1 3 + 2 = 5

506792

>>506789
"What? What!? You really are evil! That's it, mister! No more nice Amber for you!"
Empower my hammer and strike!

Roll #1 6 + 3 = 9

506793

>>506789
Look at him in disbelief.
"What… are you?"
Help Inferni up, and pull out my longer rapier.

506794

>>506789
Oh yeah, and Indy ices.
'1d10'

Roll #1 7 = 7

506795

>>506791
He snaps his paw and with a flash a bell appears.
It loudly gongs as you slam into it.

>>506792
He snaps his paw another time and your hammer flies out of your hooves and hit you on your butt.

>>506793
He grins.
"Ah finally some manners. I am the charming servant of Discord, a draconequus."

>>506794
Indy growls and breathes ice.
Anarchy snaps his paw and the ice returns right into Indy's mouth.
He shakes coldly.

506796

>>506795
Waaaaat!
Stare him down and keep my ground.
'1d10+3'

Roll #1 7 + 3 = 10

506797

>>506795
"Hey! Give me back my hammer!"
Grab it!

Roll #1 9 + 1 = 10

506798

>>506795
Keep my blade pointed at him in the duelist position, but don't attack just yet.
I saw what happened to the others.
"You played the part of a greedy, terrible stallion convincingly."

506799

>>506796
You keep your ground admirably.
If you weren't facing a draconequus, he would have been scared as fuck.
Indy quickly recovers and comes stand by you. But he doesn't look too eager to attack the abomination right now.

>>506797
You manage to grab it. It shakes a bit in your hooves.

>>506798
"Thanks, I love being a merchant. All these amazing deals, and all these ponies desperate for my wares. Those things they can't find anywhere else. Artefacts that give them the power to conquer any heart or destroy any foe.
And all the delicious chaos that erupts when they try to contain that power."
He giggles.
"It's hilarious really. And I must say I loved all of you. It has been some time since I've been with such an eager bunch of ponies ready to get the job done and not ask questions."

506800

>>506799
"Guess you are a bad copy of discord, since we did good to ponies!"

506801

>>506799
Glower at him.
"I'm going to take you down…"
Spellbreak his ass!

Roll #1 7 = 7

506802

>>506799
Sheathe my sword.
It wouldn't do any good anyway.
"All good things must end sometime, don't they.
Your menace will end too, I can assure you, if not today, then in due time."

506804

>>506800
"You cleaned up the gangs, I admit. But I got the best of them out of there in them. He's doing some very interesting stuff in Ponyville.
And did you do good to the inn?
Or how about those packages I had Warren send across Equestria? I'm going to die of laughter when you find out."

>>506801
He snaps his finger and the ground underneath you is sticky gum.

>>506802
He grins.
"I rather doubt that, Mabel dear."

He walks over to his tent and starts folding it up until it becomes small enough, and then hangs it on a stick like a knapsack.

506805

"Hey!"
Try to free myself from the stickiness!
"You're not getting away with this! I'll hunt you down and purge you!"

Roll #1 10 = 10

506808

>>506804
Groan.
"What's that idiot Warren do now…
Hey! Don't just run away like that!"
SLAAAAAM!
'1d10+2'

Roll #1 8 + 2 = 10

506809

>>506804
Smile back.
"Be happy while you can be, Anarchy.
Nature always wins."

506812

>>506805
You get out like a boss.
He laughs.
"What a feisty pony. If you ever meet Cadance, tell her I had a wonderful time that night, she'll know what I mean…"

>>506808
doublecrit, the only thing that can scratch him as you are now.
You slam him right in the butt.
He jumps up and look angrily at you.
"Oh naughty, I guess I'll just have to teach you a lesson."
He snaps his fingers and nothing visibly happens to you.

Then he stretches himself, takes a bunch of stardust and sniffs it up.
"Well it was fun, but I guess I'll leave you darlings to your own devices now.
See you around."
He snaps his paw and he, the stardust he collected and his tent vanish with a flash.
All the altered stuff by Anarchy in this scene disappears.

PAUSE

506814

>>506812
"What a load of buffalo crap!"
Angrily stomp the ground.

506815

>>506812
"What!? Whaaaaat!? Come back here! I'll destroy you!"
Angrily stomp my hooves on the ground as he disappears.
"Aaaah!"

506816

>>506814
>>506815
I sigh.
"There's that."

506817

>>506816
"But I did hurt him in the end!"

506818

>>506816
"This is bullshit!"

506819

>>506812
>sniffs
should be snort, like cocaine

506821

>>506817
"I saw but it wasn't enough. We couldn't do anything."

>>506818
"Language, Amber."

506824

>>506821
I scrunch and look down defiantly.
"I should have sensed something was wrong about him before…"

506825

>>506821
>>506824
"We should have slammed him to the ground when we could."
Scrouch

506826

>>506824
>>506825
"He hid himself well. We couldn't have done anything. Doesn't mean that we won't be able to in the future. We just need to find his weaknesses, and track him down."

506830

>>506826
"I should have stopped him! If I want to ever become a paladin, I should do better than this."
I flick my tail in annoyance.
"I'm going to have to consult my book on all this stuff!"

506831

>>506826
"I will need a new crafter…"

506833

>>506831
"Is that your biggest worry?"

>>506830
"It's not your fault, Amber. I was blind to all that he was doing so far too."

506835

>>506833
"Kinda?"

506837

>>506833
"We have to hunt him down Mabel… who knows what horrible things he might do!"

506838

>>506837
"Eh, probably he's gonna meet with his dragon pal, wanna bet?"

506839

>>506837
"We need to find out how we can defeat him first."

506840

>>506839
"My book of Cadence might give us a clue! Or maybe when we visit the crystal paladins…"

506841

>>506839
"Slam him real hard, duh!"

506842

>>506840
"That's a good idea, Amber. They might know."

>>506841
"Slamming doesn't solve everything, Soil."

506876

>>506842
"But he did feel that!"

506926

Allright, back to the camp?

506929

>>506926
Yes…

506930

>>506926
Yeah, back to camp…
Too bad I didn't get paid for this job!

506933

506937

>>506929
>>506930
>>506933
The camp is still somewhat in the same state you left it.
It seems Star made a little fire.
They all look at you.
Star breaks the silence "So….what happened?"

506940

>>506937
Start grumbling something, but then roll my eyes and point at the others.
Go sit by Iris and Vilina.
"Bah.
Freaky magic."

506944

>>506937
Sit down beside them.
"Promise me you won't think I'm crazy if I say it."

506945

>>506937
I scrunch as hard as I can and look down at the ground angrily.

506947

>>506940
Iris puts her hoof on your shoulder and brushes her head against your shoulder.

>>506944
Star raises her hoof and says "Promise!"

506948

>>506947
"Bedrock was a draqoneecus called Anarchy."

506949

>>506947
"And he was really hard to slam!"

506950

And now I'll swoop in on the others after putting as much stardust in that odd bag as I can.
"What's going on? I heard yelling."

506951

>>506947
"And he got away…"

506952

>>506950
"Freaky magic."

506953

>>506948
Now Iris and Vilina look up as well.
"…..what" says Star…

>>506951
"Seriously?"
Iris looks up
"A…real draconequus? HERE?"
She gives Soil another hug.

506954

>>506953
>>506952
I'll look between the lot of them, then hold up a hoof.
"Hang on, start from the beginning. What?"

506955

>>506953
I nod.
"Right under my noses and I didn't even see it…"
Kick a little at the ground.

506956

>>506953
Put a hoof behind Iris' neck.
"It's okay, he's gone now. Probably went to play with that big undead dragon pal of his."
>>506954
"Bedrock was kinda like… Evil."

506961

>>506956
"Evil how? I knew he was shady, but I passed that off as just being a merchant."

506962

>>506953
"You heard me."

>>506954
"Bedrock was leading us by our noses.
He wasn't what he seemed to be."

506963

>>506956
>>506955
>>506954
Tullip stomps on the ground.
"That's bullshit…That…stupid…"
She stomps on the ground a few times.

Vilina merely looks towards the fire, flabbergasted.

>>506956
Iris nods.
"I should have seen it…I read about draconequi…I should have known, then maybe…

506964

>>506961
"Evil like won't-stay-dead evil!"

506965

>>506963
Star looks weirdly.
"What….is a draconequus?"

506966

>>506961
>>506963
"He changed his limbs into zebra and gryphon legs and stuff! And when I tried to hammer him he just took my hammer from me and hit me on my butt!"

>>506965
"I have no idea, but I don't like it!"

506967

>>506963
Wince a bit at her voice.
"Hey not even I could slam it, can't be hel-"
Look at Star.
"Oh yeah, what's a dracoconut?"

506968

>>506965
Fuck, fallen asleep
Run back to the party.
"What?! What happened?!"

506969

>>506962
>>506963
>>506964
I'll sit for a second.
"That would probably explain a few things… but, for those of us who aren't quite sure, Iris, could you explain what draconequi are?"
I'll just assume she doesn't want to draw attention to the voice.

506970

>>506965
"It's hard to describe.
Something… very wrong to the core."

>>506969
"He said something about you too, Warren."

506971

>>506970
"Did he?"

506972

>>506971
"Something about the packages."

506973

>>506972
"He did have me run one delivery, yes. It was through the Labyrinth of the Laughing One, and it was to some zebra out in the middle of nowhere. A rather large crystal that I was told could restore the glow to a crystal pony who had lost theirs. As there was a crystal pony at the drop-off, I had assumed it was for him. After dropping that off, I came back through the labyrinth and caught up with you all in Tall Tale."

506974

>>506969
>>506968
After a few seconds Iris replies. "The word "draconequus" is composed of the High Equestrian "draco" and "equus", meaning "dragon-horse". Droconequi are immensily powerful tricksters who are composed of various body-parts of various beasts. They are universally observed as being servants of Discord, the most powerful draconequus ever encountered, defeated by Princess Celestia and Princess Luna."

>>506968
Star shouts "Bedrock was a draconequus!"

506976

>>506974
I'll nod.
"Now what, I wonder, did he want with our group? If he's as powerful as you say, he could have taken out the bear, or anything else he fancied, without us."
Thinking a little, I'll continue.
"Though, perhaps doing so would make too much noise. Traveling in the shadow of successful monster hunters would mask his presence very effectively…"

506977

>>506974
"What?!!" my mouth hangs in the air.
"So… what does that mean? Is being a Draconoquicoil bad?" I scratch my head.

506978

>>506973
"What? Large crystal? Crystal pony!?"

>>506974
"That's silly. I think I heard about Discord before though, but that as a long time ago!"

506979

>>506977
"Very bad."
Stars ears droop.

>>506978
Star turns towards you.
"Maybe in history class, Discord was the reason ponies founded the Empire!"

506980

>>506973
I sigh.
"I feel dissapointed in ourselves. In me. We should have seen something was wrong."

>>506974
"He was strong, no question about that."

506981

I'm here too!

506982

>>506981
"I had forgotten how good a kisser you were~ Should we get back to camp?"

506983

>>506981
Hello there.
You can droop down and learn that Bedrock has been revealed to be a Draconequus, before flashing away into the unknown.
The party is still trying to wrap their head around it.

506984

>>506978
I'll nod.
"I didn't get any names, but the Crystal pony seemed rather… emotionally dead."
>>506979
"So now we've got an undead dragon and a draconequis to worry about. Grand."
>>506980
"How could we? I mean, he played the role of eccentric merchant fairly well. Though I suppose having a map of the Labyrinth should have tipped us off…"

506985

>>506979
I scratch my head.
"… I guess it must have been! When I looked at Bedrock earlier… I had the same feeling creep up on me while fighting those Tirekian demons!"

506986

>>506974
Look all over myself for some candies.
'1d10'
If I find them, offer Iris one.
You know, to make her voice sweeter.

Roll #1 8 = 8

506987

>>506979
"So Star pony means that Draconicoil Bedrock is using us to do his bidding? Then that is bad…" I frown before looking around.
"So where is the true Bedrock? Can we save Bedrock pony?"

>>506984
I frown at that.
"Two dragons to worry about."

506988

>>506987
I'll shake my head.
"I don't think there ever was a 'real' Bedrock. It was just a mask he wore to gain our trust."

506989

>>506988
"That's what he told us! He has like… all kinds of different identities!"

506990

>>506988
I frown a bit.
"Impossible, Bedrock pony is our friend."

506991

>>506985
"You fought demons?!?"

>>506986
You do find some.
Iris takes one of the candies thankfully. "Thanks~". She nuzzles you.

>>506987
"Maybe there never was a bedrock pony…."

>>506984
"Things just get worse and worse…"

506992

>>506982
"What can I say, I have experience~

And yeah, we should. Let's go."
And then we walk back to camp.

>>506983
>>506985
>>506987
"What the fuck happened to Bedrock?"

506993

>>506984
"There was something… off about him, still. I could never trust him. Inferni went for him the moment he saw him…"

506994

>>506992
"Language!
And he turned out to be a draconequus. His name is Anarchy."

506995

>>506992
"You need to teach me how to fly, Melody."

>>506989
>>506990
>>506991
>>506993
"Uh, did something happen?"

506996

>>506990
>>506989
I'll shrug.
"We'll have to get the real story out of him eventually. Until then, we should focus on moving on to Ponyville. That's where we were going, and we've got to move on to Canterlot as well, to warn them of this new Draconequis."
>>506993
"Where did you pick up that phoenix anyway? I noticed he practically blazed into existence when the bear exploded."

506997

>>506991
"I know, right? She fought demons and didn't bring us along!"
>>506990
Shake my head.
"Nah pal, he's a capital D donkeybutt!"
>>506992
"Big bag thing of chaos."
>>506991
Nuzzle Iris back.

506998

>>506994
"…what?"

506999

>>506991
"Kind of. Back in Tall Tale I teamed up with two crystal paladins to go take out a shrine of Tirek!"

>>506992
>>506995
"Bedrock is a dracoconut!"

507000

>>506995
"Later Shorty…"

>>506994
>>506997
"…

what"

507001

>>506991
>>506996
>>506997
I look at Star
"If there was no Bedrock pony then for what purpose does that Draconicoil taken up the Bedrock pony disguise? To fool us?!"
I gasp and began rummaging my bag.
Is the runed crystal inside it?

>>506995
"Snack was gone scouting when they told that Bedrock turned to Draconicoil."

507002

>>506996
"We should go warn the crystal paladins! They'll know exactly what to do!"

507003

>>506991
What were all the mutations again?

>>506999
>>507001
"Draca-like Discord? You mean there are more of them?"

507004

>>506998
>>507000
"Bedrock was actually some being of horrible power that is causing trouble in addition to the giant horrible dragon that's gathering power off in the distance. He's also responsible for that giant tree."
>>507002
"If they're still there."
I'll think a moment.
"Ah, yes. Here, Amber."
I'll hoof her the jar of Stardust.
"You can present this to the paladins when you arrive."

507005

>>507003
I tilt my head looking at Shortcake.
"Whats a Discord?"

507006

>>507000
>>506998
"You heard me. When we comfronted him about the tree, he revealed his true form."

>>506996
"I met him back in Tall Tale, but he was gone since then. He just returned. He was the one to catch me and carry me out of the blast."

507007

>>507004
"I already grabbed a bag myself, but thanks anyway!"

>>507003
"Looks like it! Iris just said so!"

507008

>>507006
"He's got excellent timing."

507009

>>507007
I'll nod. And then return the jar to my bag, not the bag of holding. Going to need to get that sorted, eventually…

507010

>>507008
"I don't think it was coincidence. I think Lord Pyrrus sent him."

507011

>>507001
There is. And a black cube you've never seen before.

>>507003
You have wings.
Amber is so shiny she gives light.

You don't know the one of Vilina yet, as she keeps herself covered in a blanket.
You might have heard Iris has a deep manly voice now.

You also recognize the phoenix Mabel now carries.

>>506999
"WOW" Star looks amazed.

507012

>>507004
>>507006
"So… what now? The fuck can we do against something like him?"

507013

>>507004
"You think he is responsible?"

>>507005
"It's a weird thing. My sister says it is like a chaos elemental, or something."

>>507006
"And he didn't kill any of you?"

>>507007
I walk over to you.
"What's up with her voice, by the way?"

507014

>>507010
"Perhaps."
I'll clunk my hooves.
"I never did cast that spell for you, did I?"
>>507013
>>507012
"I'm not sure if he was responsible for the dragon, but what we can do is get word to the Princesses. They took one down before, they can do it again. Probably."

507015

>>507009
"No way they'll have left already after we took out that bear!"

>>507012
"Uh… let me check my book!"

>>507011
Look into the book I'm guarding. Anything about this stuff mentioned? [1d10]

>>507013
"It's because of that ursa explosion and the star dust mutation stuff!"

Roll #1 10 = 10

507016

>>507015
>>507014
>>507012
"Er, excuse me for a minute."

>>507011
I go into my tent and check on my cookbook.

507017

>>507012
"Language. We don't know yet, but we intend to find out."

>>507013
"I think he easily could have, if he wanted to."

>>507014
"Not yet, no."
Smile.
"It can wait just a bit longer, don't worry."

507018

>>507002
I nod at this upon hearing it.

>>507013
"So this Draconicoil Discord is something like an elemental? Or is it alive? or dead?" I starting to get confused.

>>507011
Black cube?
I look at it then poke star in the back and show it to her, not touching it.
"Dont touch it pony, any idea what it is?"

507019

>>507017
I'll nod.
Then head over to Vilina.
"You doing alright? You've not said much."

507020

>>507014
"Like they'll fucking do anything…"

>>507017
"I'll use whatever language I damn well please."

507021

>>507018
In my tent.

507022

>>507020
"I promised to wash Amber's mouth with soap if she kept doing it."

507023

>>507018
Star looks at it and shrieks.
"I thought Warren had that thing."

>>507019
Vilina opens her mouth.
"WARREN" shouts Star.
she points towards the black cube Snacks has in his paws.

>>507016
It's there where you left it.

>>507015
The book has long verses about the Discord the great Trickster, and him being the reason ponies founded the Empire.
To cut is short, the book indicates only the power of Harmony can counter a draconequus, wether it flows from the Crystal Heart or the Elements of Harmony or the Tree of Harmony.

507024

>>507023
I stick it in my saddlebag.

>>507023
I go back out and-
"Why has no one burred that damned thing!?"

507025

>>507023
I'll look at the cube, then Snacks, then Mabel.
"Mabel, I thought you had the cube!?"

507026

>>507023
"Oh! Oh! Oooh! It says here we need the power of harmony to counter a draconicunt!"

507027

>>507023
>>507024
>>507025
Look at all of them with a confused expression.
"What the heck is that cube and why nopony tells me anything here?"

507028

>>507022
"Well I'm not Amber."

>>507023
>>507024
"Wait, what the… I thought we did bury that thing!"

507029

>>507027
"It's evil is what it is."

>>507028
"Did we?"

507030

>>507023
"What?!" I look at Star confused.
"What is it?"

>>507025
>>507028
"eerrr…." I look at them confused.

507031

>>507026
"Amber!"

>>507028
"You are a bad influence if you speak like that. I am asking a simple thing, kindly."

>>507025
Perk my ears and check my bags.
Isn't it there?!

507032

>>507027
"That cube is a bad thing, Soil. And we're going to give it to the paladins to be destroyed."
>>507030
"Snacks, you need to drop that right now. It's dangerous."

507033

>>507029
"Well everything is evil around here lately!"

507034

>>507032
"That's like not saying anything!"

507035

>>507030
"It's CURSED."

507036

>>507031
"Yes!?"

507037

>>507036
"Nevermind."

507038

>>507034
"That's because I don't know anything about it!"
I'll shake my head.
"I would have dropped it into the burning pits of the Firelord's forges if he had allowed it. But we could only get the one favor from him, and that was moving and delaying the volcano."

507039

>>507032
"Errr…"

I then emptied my bag of the black cube.
"What is it?"

507040

507041

>>507038
I scrunch.
"That dumb cube gave me nightmares and whispered to me!"

507042

>>507038
"Not like he really cared for that, the volcano was exploding anyway."
Frown.

507043

>>507039
"It's a bad thing, Snacks. I've no clue how bad, just that it is. And it talks to you."

507044

>>507039
"It's bad news."

507045

>>507039
It falls on the ground. Just another black cube.

507046

>>507042
"Well, you and Snacks took good care of that, Soil. I'm sure the locals would thank you if they knew you did it."

507047

>>507045
Stomp on it.

Roll #1 4 = 4

507048

>>507043
>>507044
"But how did it end up in Snacks bag if its bad news? Snack didnt put it there nor let anyone touch it."

>>507045
I just tilt my head as it lands.

507049

>>507029
>>507030
"I thought we did…"

>>507031
"Why do you care so much? Amber should be able to swear if she fuckin' wants to."

507050

>>507048
"I have no idea."

507051

>>507047
You hurt your hoof stomping it.
It hurts very bad.

507052

>>507048
It looks weird, it looks wrong, but you can't put your finger on why.

507053

>>507049
I stick out my tongue at her.

>>507051
"Ow!"

507054

>>507031
No, it isn't there.

507055

>>507048
"Because I think we've been underestimating it so far. Regardless, Mabel will carry it until we get to the paladins, and they'll know of a way to destroy it. And if it starts talking to you, ignore it."

507056

>>507049
"Does it make you any wiser?"

>>507051
>>507053
"Be careful with it."

Pick up the cube.
"How did it get out of my bags in the first place."

507057

>>507056
"Maybe…maybe it can move?"

507058

>>507052
I avert my gaze

>>507055
"Talking?!" I look at Warren confused.
"Yes Snack agree's we better bring it to the paladins.

…..
"Now who shall carry it?"

507059

>>507056
"So Mabel donkey will carry it? Works fine." I nod at her.

507060

>>507057
You feel the cube looking at you when you say that.
It doesn't have eyes, but you feel it.

507061

>>507056
"You be careful Mabel!"

>>507057
"Oh… that's freaky!"

507062

>>507060
"Uhh, it's looking me, guys."

507063

>>507062
"er, looking at me."

>>507060
>>507049
I hide behind Melody.

507064

>>507059
"It hasn't effected me while I carried it."

>>507057
"…that is something unpleasant to think of, but a possibility."

>>507061
"Don't worry."

507065

>>507053
"You want a piece of this, all you gotta do is ask~"
I flash her a grin.

>>507056
"Does it need to?"

>>507062
>>507063
"…the fuck are you talking about Shorty?"
I look at the cube.

507066

>>507062
>>507063
"Just ignore it if it talks. Nice wings, by the way."
Now… I should be able to focus on Vilina for all of a moment.
"Let's try this again… are you alright?"

507067

>>507065
"A piece of what?"

507068

>>507067
Facepalm.

>>507065
"Why do you do it then?"

507069

>>507066
She looks up. Her voice breaks as she says.
"I'm a fucking monster, of course I'm not."

>>507065
It looks weird but it doesn't have eyes, how can it look?

>>507063
Melody's butt might be staring at you~

507070

>>507065
"I don't know, it's just…looking at me."

>>507066
"Thanks. Melody is taking me flying later, want to come with?"

507071

>>507068
"… What?"

507072

>>507069
[1d10] to not stare back.

Roll #1 5 = 5

507073

>>507064
>>507064
"Ah Snack see's." I grin.
"But why is that?"

>>507069
I then look at Star.
"So where is Star pony when all of this happened?"

507074

>>507069
"What do you mean?"
>>507070
I'll shake my head.
"I get the feeling I'll be needed on the ground. And I wouldn't want to intrude."

507075

>>507073
"Maybe it's because I meditate often."
Smile.
"Maybe because I'm a stubborn donkey."

507076

>>507067
I chuckle.

>>507068
"Because… I fuckin' want to? Why is it so important to you?"

>>507069
I don't trust that fucking thing…
I go over and poke it.

507077

>>507069
I don't understand any of this…
How's Indy doing?

507078

>>507072
Man, it's so big. And feels so good to slap.
Why doesn't she have a dick?

>>507076
You poke it, but it just behaves like a normal cube. That is, it doesn't do anything.

>>507074
She reaches to your ear.
"I….have five legs now…"
She can't look at you.

>>507073
"Uh…I was here, helping Iris…."

507079

>>507077
Indy has rolled up.
Trying to get some zzzzzs.
He stands up as you approach though.

507080

>>507079
"Hey Indy! Are you okay?"

507081

>>507078
Huh.
I'll think a minute.
"Perhaps we should get a bit of privacy. This way."
And I'll lead her to my tent.

507082

>>507076
"One day, play a game. Replace every swear word with something else. Use your creativity. You will see how much more you can say that way. Maybe then you will undertand."

507083

>>507078
I sighed.
"Snack is worried that Star was hurt, its good she is not." I pat her head.
"Also good job helping the two of them specially Iris pony." I raise a thumbs up.

>>507075
"err.. alright." Take good care of black cube so it dont go in my bag again.
"Or is it Mabel pony who dropped it?" I give her a sly look.

507084

>>507074
"Intrude?"

>>507078
Because she's not Mwandishi, that's why.

507085

>>507083
"If I were that clumy, I doubt I would be still alive today."

507086

>>507078
"What the fuck…"
I kick it.

>>507082
"I think I'll pass."

507087

>>507084
"It may just be an assumption, but judging by the way you two look at each other, it's rather obvious as to why Melody was so keen on rescuing you while in the air."

507088

>>507087
I blush.
"Well, yeah, but why does that mean you can't fly with us?"

507089

>>507080
He stretches.
"Bit sleepy…long day. Tree. Bear. Draconut."

>>507081
She tries to stand up while covering herself.
You quickly set up the remains of your tent a bit away and lead her inside.

>>507086
It's nothing, forget about it.
Wait, did you think that or did you hear that?

>>507084
Of course.

>>507083
"It was the least I can do. I'm glad that nasty draconequus didn't hurt us or you…"

507090

>>507089
The fu-
Is this thing messing with my thoughts again?
I kick it harder.
'1d10'

Roll #1 7 = 7

507091

>>507088
"Because I can tell when I would be a third wheel."
And then I'm off in my tent.
>>507089
"Alright, let's… take a look, then."

507092

>>507086
"As you wish.
Do sleep on it, and consider this proposal."

507093

>>507089
"Yeah… We really took a ride to crazy town!"

507094

>>507093
He looks around.
"We're in forest!"

>>507091
She stumbles awkwardly.
"Eh….I'd rather….not."

>>507090
You give it a good hard kick.
You feel validated.
Goddamn that feels good kicking things, you should kick things more, like Mabel, kick her.

507095

>>507094
I giggle.
"Crazy forest then!"

507096

>>507089
"Or any of us, that is good. Snack is just glad Star is safe." I grin.

>>507092
>>507093
>>507091
>>507090
I stretch my arms
"So when are we planning to leave this place and go back to town?"

507097

>>507094
No. Shut up.
Is there a hole near here that I can toss this stupid thing down?

507098

>>507094
"I swear on my honor that I shall neither laugh nor gawk."
I'll hold a hoof over my heart.
"But if you'd prefer not to show it, I'll just give you my cloak here, and I'll wait outside while you put it on."

507099

>>507094
I walk over to her.
"What's wrong?"

507100

>>507096
"First we got to check in with the crystal paladins!"

507101

>>507094
>>507097
Give her a worried look.
"Melody?"

507102

>>507100
"Snack thought they are in town?" I tilt my head.
"No matter, at least now Amber has a chance to full fill her dreams is it right?" I smile

507103

>>507102
"They're close by, I can sense it! I bet Star can sense it too!"

507104

>>507097
There's one.
A big hole.
Do it faggot.

>>507098
She chuckles.
"Your gentlestallion act is really annoying sometimes, you know."

>>507099
>>507101
Man, that cube is weird.

507105

>>507104
Sorry, I meant I walk over to Vilina.

507106

>>507104
"Isn't it just?"
I'll hoof over my cloak.
"But I've found that if you're pleasant, ponies are more likely to look the other way."

507107

>>507103
"So Crystal ponies can sense each others? That is new."

507108

>>507101
"Nothing's wrong… this cube is just fuckin' unsettling me…"

>>507104
…uh
That doesn't seem like a good idea…
Fuck.
Maybe I should just back away…

507109

>>507105
>>507106
Shortcake is here too and Vilina grabs her blanket a bit tighter…
"I'm…I got hit by that explosion OKAY?!?"

>>507108
You a coward?
You've always been a coward.
That's why you ran away from home, instead of facing up to your family.
Look how pathetic you are.

507110

>>507107
"It's just a feeling in my gut."

>>507104
Pat Indy on the head and let him rest. Little dragon needs his sleep!
… Is Tullip still mad?

507111

>>507109
"And?"
I spread my wings.
"It was actually pretty neat."

507112

>>507108
"It did that to others too.
That's why I am safekeeping it until we find a way to destroy it."

507113

>>507109
"I had gathered that, yes."
Drape the cloak over her, and then walk over to Shortcake.
>>507105
"Perhaps we should give her a bit of privacy for a moment?"

507114

>>507109
I'm not a fucking coward. I-
I- I'm smarter than that. This piece of shit isn't going to control me. I'm not going to be fucking controlled.
'1d10'

Roll #1 9 = 9

507115

>>507105

>>507110
Sorry I'm tired and I'm missing posts, I should sleep soon.

"Crazy forest…zzzzzz."

Tullip is still fuming and sitting near her tent.

>>507111
"NOT EVERYPONY GOT SHINY WINGS OKAY!!"

>>507114
You don't let this thing control you!

507116

>>507115
……………
Right, I should go to bed

PAUSE

507117

>>507115
Yeah.
That's fuckin' right. You get out of my mind you piece of shit cube.

507118

>>507113
"But I want to help her."

>>507115
"Calm down, please. Do you want a hug? it's okay."

507119

>>507115
"Miss Tullip?"
Carefully approach her.

507120

>>507118
"The way we can help her right now is by giving her some room."

507121

Approach Mabel.
"So what is that black cube? Where did donkey find it?" I scratch my head.

507122

>>507121
"I didn't find it, and I don't know what it is. All I know it is evil.
Remember that strange thing that attacked us? That armored pony before the tree? It wanted this."

507123

>>507122
Remembering the armored pony I began to stiffen up a bit and get serious.
"Snack see's…. perhaps it is an artifact used… for something."

"Hmmm…. " I sit down and think.
"Draconocoil Bedrock, Undead large dragon, Black cube and that armored pony…. what has it all in connection."
"Well besides from them being bad news and all." I scratch my head.

507124

>>507123
"The cube might not have something to do with Bedrock, not directly. He must have know it gives people nightmares, that's why he wanted it to be around us. To create chaos of the mind."

507125

>>507124
"But why give it to us specifically? Bedrock draconocoil could have given it to someone of royalty like one of the many dog kings or one of the pony princess and that would wreck more havoc." I frown as I sit thinking.

507126

>>507125
"I guess he wanted to see it happen to us, and he know we had no way to destroy it… I don't know."

507127

>>507126
"That and with that armored pony following us… yes Snack is getting confused to it all." I frown.
Hmm… I nod at Mabel and put a paw on her shoulder.
"Keep it secret to anyone outside of our party. Keep it safe."

507128

>>507127
I look back and nod.
"I will do my best, but if it got out of my bag one time, there's no promise it won't do again.
It's almost as if it can think."

507129

>>507128
I nod at her and just sit next to her jsut letting time pass.
