Last time on 'Turns Out Twilight Wasn’t Going To Kill You, You Guys Are Silly' Quest:
>Hid from Twilight under her bed, fearful she was going to put you back in the basement.
>Spike returned with Pinkie.
>Crawled out under the bed and tried to ask for help, but couldn’t cause Pinkie wanted to play and was jumping on you.
>Twilight passed things off as a game of Hide and Seek, using her magic to keep your jaw closed.
>While Pinkie was counting, Twilight teleported you and her outside so she could think what to do next.
>You pretended that you were suffocating from Twilight's spell, so she released you.
>Blamed everything on Twilight (again), saying she's trying to kill you and is in league with that crazy pony in your dreams.
>Eventually explained to Twilight your dreams/flashbacks and what happened in them.
>Twilight seemed to finally understand your position and apologized for everything she did.
>The two of you agreed to start working together to figure out on what exactly is going on and shared a moment.
>The moment was then ruined by Pinkie, who found you two.
>Went over what you know about the crazy pony with Twilight and Pinkie as Spike went to gather the others.
>They're convinced that it's Trixie, but from what you remember, the pony had none of her mannerisms.
You are Rusty Shackleford, a human with no memory of his past who has found himself lost in Equestria. Currently, you are the Ponyville library, talking with Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Applejack and Rarity. Spike is there too. You are going over you're sporadic dreams and/or flashbacks, focusing mainly on what you remember about that crazy blue unicorn that may or may not have killed your friends.
"OK, let me see if I got this straight," Rainbow Dash says when you finish. "You're saying that some psycho unicorn attacked you? And that's why you can't remember anything?"
"That's what I'm thinking," You reply. "But like you said, I don't really remember."
You, the five ponies and one baby dragon all stand around the big table in the room, trying to figure all this out. Twilight is using her magic to set up a big board on one side of the room, Pinkie is making doodles, Rarity is brushing her hair, Spike is watching her, Applejack and Rainbow Dash look bored.
Not sure what else to do, you wait for Twilight to finish whatever it is she's doing. She sets up a large chalk board up against a wall and tapes your really shitty doodle of the crazy pony in the top center of it, drawing question marks in chalk around it. She then draws a line from it directly down and tapes a picture of blue unicorn in what looks like a purple wizard outfit, writing "The great and powerful Trixie" under the photo."
"Right," Twilight says, back up and admiring her handiwork. "Let's review what we know."
"Twilight, darling," Rarity says, walking up. "Before we begin, I would like to give Rusty something."
You notice that Rarity brought a wrapped bundle with her and she hands it to you, floating it over to you with magic.
Carefully, you take the bundle in wrapping paper and a bright pow. The magic disappears and it rests in your hands; it's soft and light; definitely clothes. All of the others are looking at you with interest.
"Is this what I think it is?" You say, smiling. Rarity nods. You tear open the gift carefully.
You hold the outfit by the shoulders, letting it unfurl to your full height. It's... amazing. From collar to pants cuffs it's completely bedazzled with multicolored gems in a sparkling pattern, all of which reflect the light with a rainbow. The inner material is a plushy, soft red material. The pants have bell bottoms, as are the sleeves, and there’s even a short cape attached to the back.
"Ooooohhhhh," Everyone says in unison, admiring the dazzling outfit. Rarity look particularly proud of herself.
"I... I don't know what to say, Rarity" You feel your eyes get a little blurry. "Thank you so much!"
"Think nothing of it, darling."
"Try it on Rusty!" Pinkie says excitedly.
"Yeah!"
"OK OK," You say. Twilight points you to a bathroom, where you go into change. You take off your old clothes and...
Oh my god.
The martial is so soft. And breaths. And it's so light. It fits perfectly. You admire yourself in the mirror. You are the king.
You then notice you old clothes; the old shirt and slacks. They're burnt and torn, dirty with sooth and mud and who knows what else. They look terrible. You feel a little sad; these were the only things you still had from your past, whatever it was. They're pretty much ruined and you're glad to have something nice to wear now. But... you have nostalgia. You take the contents of the pockets from the slacks and put them in your new suit, setting the old clothes aside on the sink.
You step out from the wash room. Everyone facing you is simply awestruck.
"Wow," Applejack says, beaming as you strike a pose, "That sure is fancy."
"Thank you so much, Rarity," You say again and pet her on the head. She brushes you hand away with a hoof."
"Mind the mane, please."
"Sorry."
"It's fine. And you are welcome, Rusty."
"It's great Rusty," Twilight says, going back to the chalkboard. "Now then, if we review what we... yes Rainbow Dash?"
"Yeah, uh," Dash says, raising her hoof like this is a class room. "Doesn’t it seem weird for us to not have Fluttershy here? We usually do this sorta stuff as a group."
"Don't look at me," Spike says defensively, shrugging. "He said to just get the three of you."
"I don’t really know Fluttershy," You say. "I... don't think I ever really spoke with her."
"Come to think of it," Twilight says. "Has any of us really talked with Fluttershy lately?"
"I was just speaking with her earlier today," Rarity says. "But before that... I can't recall. She seemed rather preoccupied."
"I don't mean to be rude," You say. "But is it really that important to get Fluttershy?"
"Well duh!" Dash says. "Besides the fact that she all of our friend, she's also the Element of Kindness."
"The... what?"
"Oh, that’s right. None of us explained the Elements to Rusty, did we?" Twilight asks. All of the ponies shake their heads. "You see Rusty, each of us, plus Fluttershy, are part of the Elements of Harmony. With each of their magic combined, we were able to defeat both Nightmare Moon and Discord."
You are completely lost and it shows.
"No one told him about that either did they?" All the ponies shake their heads. Twilight rolls her eyes. "OK, a few years ago I used to live in Canterlot, until one day..."
Twilight gives you the quick version of her and her friend's adventures where they used the Elements of Harmony (the quick version, of course, took the better part of an hour). By the time she finishes, you're still a little confused and both Rainbow Dash and Applejack are asleep on the table. Pinkie and Rarity are talking about something off to the side.
"And we haven't used them since. Any questions?" Twilight says, done.
"Yeah, just one." You say. "Why do we need Fluttershy again?"
Twilight seems annoyed.
"Alright, alright, we should get Fluttershy. Spi-" You start to says, but then notice he's no where to be seen. You lost track of him somewhere between Princess Luna's return and chocolate rain. "-iiinbow Dash, could yo get her?"
Dash is fast asleep on table next to AJ, using a book as a pillow. Twilight pulls a large dictionary from a bookshelf with her magic, raises it over the table and lets it drop with a loud WHAMP on the wood. Applejack shoots straight up to her hooves, Dash shoots up all the way to the ceiling.
"Good, you're awake." Twilight says up at Dash. "Could you go and get Fluttershy for us, Dash? We need the team together."
"Yeah yeah yeah," Dash says, grumbling as she glides down to the front door. "Go here Rainbow Dash, get Fluttershy Rainbow Dash, blah blah blah Rainbow Da-WHAT THE?!"
You all look over when Dash shouts, who is standing in the door way. Slowly, she walks outside, looking all around.
"Dash? What is it?"
"It's... snowing?"
Sure enough, when you and the ponies all go outside, it's freezing cold out and fresh white flakes are drifting down in the late afternoon.
"The weather team must be getting lazy," Twilight says. "It's July."
"We didn’t' have anything scheduled for today." Dash says. "Clear and sunny for the next few days."
"Oh my, what dreadful weather," Rarity says, staying out of the snow that’s already begun to pile up. "And I don't even have my favorite scarf!"
"Twilight," You ask the purple pony, while still looking up to the sky, watching the snow fall. "Do you know any monsters that can cause snow?"
"You think its another monster attack?" Twilight asks, clearly concerned.
"That'd be my guess."
"Well, off the top of my head... there's windigos, frost giants, ice titans, snow golems, ice elemental's..." Twilight continues to list off an impressive list.
"Yay! Snow day!" Pinkie cries happily and dives into the nearest snow drift with an explosion. When the dust settles, the snow bank had been completely changed into snow pony, Pinkie making finishing touches on the mane.
"...and some have been know to cause a sensation of cold when they're close, but of course that’s only a theory." Twilight is still going on.
"I'm sorry y'all, but I'm gunna have to sit this one out." Applejack says, already galloping off. "This frost is going to destroy my crop!"
"I need to get a hold of the other pegasi!" Dash says and is gone like that.
A snowball hits you in the head, taking you surprise. Pinkie laughs out loud over by her snow pony, a small pile of snowballs nearby. How... how did she throw that?
"Pinkie!" Twilight yells. "This is no time to be horsing around! This is serious!"
"Jeez leweeze, Twilight, calm down. It's just a little snow!"
"Well, we may as well go get Fluttershy as a group." You say, wiping off the snow from your face. "We don't want anyone left alone in case it IS a monster attack, and I'm guessing Fluttershy wouldn't want to be left alone either."
You and the three little ponies cross through Ponyville on your way to Fluttershy's cabin. Most of the ponies, especially the younger ones, are taking the sudden snow fall like Pinkie. You cross threw a number of foal snowball fights and a few snow sculptors. Still, there’s a lot of concerned ponies a looking up at the sky, sacred and confused. A number of parents take their foals away from their play and drag them inside.
"This is bad, isn’t it Twilight?" Rarity asks.
"I don't know."
It doesn’t take long for you to reach your destination. The snow is really coming down now, but luck there’s no wind and you are plenty warm in your new suit; must be made of a really nice martial. The snow is a couple inches thick as you crunch threw the fresh powder. Fluttershy's cottage is dark when you walk up. With the snow on the roof, it sorta looks like a frosted candy house to you.
