Last time on 'Shits On Fire Yo' Quest:
>Went to the mayor's with Applejack to pitch the idea of forming some type of militia
>Were greeted by some secretary or something.
>Cared the crap out of her and were told to come back tomorrow.
>AJ got all mad.
>Went with her to Pinkie's party.
>It turns out it was a birthday party, for you.
>Had a fun time with new pony friends.
>Suddenly crashed by strange little glowing flying lights.
>Went to poke one with a stick.
>The stick burst into flames.
>The little lights darted around, setting some ponies and houses on fire.
You are Rusty Shackleford, a human with no memory and the worst luck in the world. For the last few days, you've been living in Ponyville, which has been under attack by the occasional monster.
CURRENTLY SHIT IS ON FIRE. Ponies are running in every direction in a panic, knocking over tables and each other. Several buildings, including Sugar Cube Corner, have been set ablaze. You are in the middle of it all with Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Applejack.
Alright, time to snap into action and take charge of the situation. Ponies are in danger and you need to help.
"Right, Rainbow Dash, you go an-" You start addressing the blue pegasi, but she's already long gone, completely ignoring you. You see her flying around, chasing after little lights as they zip and jink through the air.
"O...k, Applejack, you go an-" But she's also long gone. She's in the process of tackling a pony who's tail is on fire and trying to stamp it out.
"Uh, alright, Pinkie," You look over. She still standing with you. "Oh, good, you're still here. I need you to get make sure there aren’t any ponies in those buildings."
"Right!" Pinkie says, determined. She runs over Sugar Cube Corner to make sure there's no one inside, then continues on down the street.
Seeing one bowl of punch that hasn’t been knocked over, you quickly rush over to it and run to dump it on one of the ponies that are on fire, letting Applejack take care of the other.
"Thanks," The pony says, it slightly chard orange mane come completely covering her eyes. She then quickly runs off and ends up running into a wall.
Seeing Applejack still struggling to stamp out the other pony, you rush over and dump what little punch is still in the bowl on him.
"Good thinkin' Rusty!" Applejack cheers to you. She then helps the other pony up and smacks him in the rear. "Get out of here, go! Ya!"
"Applejack, we need water!"
"Ya think?" She shouts over the din of panic and fire, sarcastically.
"Are there any hoses around here? We have to put out this fire!"
"You're right! We're gunna need to get a bucket bridge goin'!" Applejack turns and starts at shouting at some ponies, trying to get their attention and for them to come over. Soon enough, there a little crowd of ponies around you, though many are still running around in a panic.
"Oh and I have some of these leafs from Zecora." You pull out the little bag of leafs and show them to Applejack. "I think they might help with burns or pain."
"Good, good. Pass some out!"
Doing your best, you distribute little leafs to ponies that look hurt or have burns. But you only have a small amount and soon run out. Those that do get leafs are very grateful and get going with a new energy.
"Oh, and what about your friend, Twilight?" You ask, coming back to Applejack wile she's organizing ponies as they start gathering buckets. "She seems pretty powerful, she'd probably help."
"Uhh," Applejack looks between you and the fire indecisively. "Yeah, you're right. Do you want to get her or should I?"
"I'll do it! You seem to know what you're doing here."
"Right! Hurry back, we'll need everyone's help for this!" Applejack returns to coordinating all the ponies as they start filling up buckets with water.
You take off at a sprint, heading to Twilight's. As you do, you see that the rest of the town is beginning to wake from all the commotion the fire is causing. A lot of ponies look like they just woke up and are standing in their doorways, confused and talking with each other. You get more then a few looks are you run past.
You also see more of those flying lights, though its hard to spot them against the starry sky. Rainbow Dash is still trying to chase them down, shouting as she does.
It doesn’t take you too long to get to Twilight's. The door has been fixed or replaced. Either way, it's locked and blocking your way.
You knock hard and call, but there’s no answer.
You keep at it, pounding even harder at the door.
"TWILIGHT! FIREBALLS ATTACKING THE TOWN!"
Still nothing.
You go around to the side and look in through a closed window. It's locked too, but you can see that the lights are off, although there’s a little illumination shining from somewhere. There’s no sign of Twilight or Spike from what you can see.
You look around and can see that there’s an open window... on the second story balcony. You think you might be able to climb up to it...
"Alright, I can do this." You say to yourself, look up at the balcony. "It's just a tree. I've climbed trees before... once."
Taking a deep breath, you start to ascend up the side of Twilight's house, digging into the living bark with your finger tips and shoes. It... works out pretty well, surprising you. You climb up like a lizard, pulling yourself over the railing of the balcony in under a minute.
You then simply open up the cracked window and hop inside. Like you saw before, it's dark, but there’s some light source coming from somewhere. From this angle, you can see its coming from the stairs leading to the basement.
You can also see Twilight's bed area. It's empty.
You hop down the stairs and go down to the basement door. You can see that its slightly ajar, letting in light from the other room. There’s sounds of commotion and voices talking, Spike and Twilight.
Cautiously, you walk down the last few steps and slowly push open the door, revealing...
