You move back into the temple, a great feeling of weariness overcoming you accompanied by the chorus of voices again. The torch has been knocked off of the wall and has gone out, same as the torches in the room to the north.
Only one way to find out what those voices are. Into the darkness you go.

You travel north, Saffron sticking close to your side. The chorus is deafening, chanting above your head. It grows and seems to echo in the room.

You tell Saffron that you would like to check the lower levels, to see if anything has changed. She nods, rubbing her corruption marks while staying glued to your side. As you descend, the chorus of voices lessens, then disappears. The further down you go, the more dead and hollow everything seems. It gets colder, and even the pulse and movement of the temple is lessened by what you assume is the water outside of the temple. You find yourselves on the bottom floor, the emptiness of the temple practically making you feel hollow as well.
