You decide to head upstairs, to check the room that you found Gusty Gale in, and.... and something seems to be amiss. It hasn't been so long that you don't notice the... difference in the amount of blood around.
>>4567807Examine that door, see if it can be opened
>>4567887Last time Renne just pulled it open with her magic.Let's see if it's been blocked up this time, I guess. Also, all this blood coming from upstairs; unless it's come from the 8 door, it has to be our buddy the corpsestack.Has someone moved it, or do we now have a flesh golem wandering about in addition to our metal/stone buddies?
Basic map.
>>4567917Map with annotations out the wazoo.
>>4567933>those dead-body markersdammit, we never even met themwhy does it feel so awful
>>4567887[audio01]You slowly approach the door, Saffron behind you, and Chronicle behind you even further. A familiar feeling of dread washes over you as you approach the door. You can feel like something is itching at your brain, at the base of your skull. You use your magic for just a moment to test the door, and it budges slightly. You assume you can open it.
>>4568034Do it.
>>4567807Whatever it was that came through here, it's come down pretty recently. We had Renne put on the collar in the mural room, then came through that door to head down to the lava. Then we put in the gem, which didn't knock us out for long, went and opened the happy door, fought/escaped from SJEDJ and then came straight back here.
>>4568034Maybe we should assume some kind of defensive position before opening the door
>>4568081i don't think so, Timthe blood came from the stairsthere's no telling what's behind that door
>>4568168So how else do you expect to find out?
>>4568189don't you want to see where it came from first?
>>4568168All that fresh blood has to have come from the corpsestack being shifted.Whatever it is either-Came from the 8th floor-Is the corpsestack, animated-Came from the ocean entrance we first came in through-Came from the fire door, went upstairs and dragged the corpsestack back down to munch on while it posts on 4chan about ponies.
>>4568237>-Is the corpsestack, animatedoh god...
>>4568237so then what do we do?upstairs or pry open the door?
>>4568276I say pry it open cautiously. A bit foolhardy, but I don't think there'll really be much to see; none of the listed options would look any different, unless the creature's dropped something or left scratches or some other mark of passing that'd give us a hint, and even if it had we still wouldn't know what the fuck....D'you think it might be Baldwin come down to perform some sort of ritual?
>>4568337All my videogame instincts say the 8 door couldn't possibly have just been left open, but maybe we should go and check anyway.
>>4568352Fuck it, let's go full Spirit of Adventure! and just open it up.
You use your magic to pry the door open just a bit. You're greeted with what sounds like labored breathing, as well as an orchestra of sickening wet sliding sounds. The feeling of dread spikes, and you take a step back from the door.
>>4568662Open the door enough to send in the torch while remaining a safe distance
>>4568702>gif>thing movingfuck no, not nowif you people want to go, finebut i'm saying we close that fucking door
Oh wow, we are starting early..
>>4568756<Yes, and not for as long as usual. Got things going on today, so I have roughly four hours left.>
>>4568742You'd rather it just get out on it's own and get us sometime later from behind?
>>4568662>MovementOh god. Well at least Baldwin's ruled out, since he presumeably doesn't breath, given he's got no lungs to do the breathing WITH....Probably fleshgolem. Hope it's not too annoyed at us for ignoring it before.
>>4568702Seconding this
>itching at your brain, at the base of your skullHave we ever had this sensation before?I don't recall anything about it at the flesh pile, I think something similar happened when we looked into the gem though.>>4568702Agreed.
Got an update.
>>4568929Oooh.
You tell Saffron that you're going to open the door, and she steps next to you, brandishing her sword in one hand. You fling the door open with unintended might and thrust the torch inside. Whatever you saw, it seems to have gone, but the room is even more of a mess than you remember.
>>4568986Carefully go inside the room
>>4568901Couldn't find anything in the logs about an itch, but did find this from when we picked up the first eye>The gem slips, and your eyes dart open to see it fall. You lean forward, putting your hooves out beneath it. You can feel the gem clink against your hooves, and a large surge of pain courses through your eye, to the back of your skull.
>>4568986Whatever it is, it can move at a descent speed...>>4569004Take it slow.
>>4568986>>4569004i dunno about this guys...
>>4569062>>4569065It's leaving a great bloody trail wherever it goes. It can't possibly ambush us; it's either gone over to the flame door, or scurried off down the hidden passage to get away from us.I'm guessing the latter.Once we're in, make sure someone's keeping an eye on the passage, then take a look at the fire door and see if it's open.
>>4568986Going by the map, that room to the left is the one with the door we couldn't open because it was too hot, right?Judging by the blood trail, that door's open now, I guess.
>>4569146>It can't possibly ambush us...What if it back tracked and now its hanging from the ceiling
>>4569192...Damn, we've gotten slack since Gaston.ALWAYS LOOK UP WHEN CHECKING FOR DANGER
What the...?Why theres such an early thread?!Im going to college soon...
>>4569004>>4569062You venture in, but are sure to do so slowly. The feeling of dread recedes, even as you enter the room. You cannot hear any more movement.
>>4569254Make sure someone watches the hidden passage. Is the flame door still ludicrously hot?
>>4569254Investigate the flame door and keep an eye out for anything suspicious.
>>4569254Anyone else ever wonder what all these 4th walls look like, we never get to see them...
>>4569298Pretty often. I just let it pass, since I assume LK wouldn't pull a jerk move and hide anything there, and otherwise he'd have to draw twice as many pictures for each room.
>>4569330>>4569298<They all ran out of chisels before they got to the south walls. Unfortunate.>
>>4569365I just figured we were playing in a dollhouse
>>4569279>>4569290You tell Saffron and Chronicle to each keep a lookout on the doors to the east and west as you inspect the bronze door. You approach it and are hit once again with the immediate wave of searing heat. The smell of charred flesh and old blood lingers in the air, filling your nostrils and making you gag.
>>4569437>>4569254check the corner of the room by the dark doorwayit looks like there's something laying on the ground
tumblr guy says we are wasting time
Tumblr update.
>>4569489oh no wait that's Chance's finger isn't it?nevermind
>>4569497...Oh wow, so it is.if I'd ever noticed that, I'd forgotten it.
>>4569492>>4569493So the blood trails were caused by the corpses.
>>4569492>>4569493>>4569587WAIT, THEY'RE MOVING NOW?GET THE FUCK OUT OF THERE
>>4569587I still feel like they may have something of value to share with us, but its not worth the risk. So, Do we want to go chase after it or go back to whatever it was we were doing last week.
>>4569620we wanted to check on the corpse stack last week...
>>4569644Well, We can go check the room it was hanging out in.
>>4569587So uh... If these completely mangled and inseperably twisted corpses and souls can continue to shamble about through whatever insane powers flow through this place does that mean Chance's gear-ground body might drag itself back out of it's dark pit through his soul's dogged, singleminded insanity?Naaah.
>>4569667I think he is dead... also did the others hear him calling out for the guide after he fell or was that just renne?
>>4569661Yeah, sure, why not. After that our only obvious goal is to dispatch Ol' Clanky, then start turning the spire.Y'know, that passage the stack's slithered down does lead to the top golem. Wonder if we might be able to have it might help by serving as a distraction or something for us later.
>>4569687>I think he is dead. And the pile of gore we're following around at the moment is dead four times over.>Did the others hear him calling outJust Renne.
>>4569706I was thinking, If I was horribly sacrificed is a spooky place like this... I think my goal would to be get out.>>4569729That spike could of been some Blood sacrifice reanimation thing, who knows.
>>4569729are they?maybe they never actually "died"maybe they're just trapped inside their bodiesfeeling the agony of the moment they died for all eternitynot even in death can they know peace from this evil
so are we going to chase after it?i don't want to, but majority rules
>>4569784somewhat, yes. but thats because i don't trust the tumblr and don't think we should blindly follow everything it says.
>>4569876Oops, my bad. I'm not checking Skype that often now that I'm back to school and studying and I hang out with /vg/ bros in my free time on the PC.>>4569883>>4569887I was just used to that I grab the thread every Thursday.I think the thread can live until tomorrow if some anon stays here and bumps. http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/130532
>>4569565>>4569799go down the east hallway
>>4570039You slowly approach the broken opening in the wall. The dark, ominous hallway stretches out in front of you, curving once and fading away into blackness. You call out once, just to see if there is any response. You hear nothing but the sound of your heartbeat in your own ears, your body filling with a feeling of dread once more.
>>4570289Look ahead with the torch
>>4570289Ah drat, I keep meaning to test if that collar's made Renne stronger physically and/or telekinetically. Ah well, something to remember for a less dramatic moment.
>>4570428>something to remember for a less dramatic moment.we'll never get to test it
>>4570313You look ahead, the smell getting stronger, the blood thicker and more coagulated. You hold the torch in position and wait, but nothing comes of it, and you cannot see around the corner.
>>4570743Peek around the corner.
>>4570743>>4571019go into the room at the end of the hallway
>>4571019>>4571131There is nothing in the room but your ever-increasing sense of dread. Your throat has gone dry, and your legs are feeling wobbly, the smell of the hallway and the room only worsening as you traveled down.
>>4571318LOOK UP
>>4571340>>4571318And then see whats going on down below
Anyone think that maybe blindly following this thing ISN'T the best course of action? Then again, it is one of the more promising leads we have...
>>4571435Simply put, there's nothing to lose from it but time as far as I can see, and that hasn't really been a rare resource so far. I'm rather curious to see how the golem's reacting to it if it really has gone done the hole there, myself.
>>4571340The chain extends up into the blackness. The dread has manifested itself as another headache. The thumps in your head seem to coincide with the stomps of the patrolling golem down below.
>>4571502...Huh.Maybe we'll have to send Saffron up there later, or at least levitate a torch up.Chains look unbloodied though, so it presumeably hasn't climbed up there to drop down on us when we look down the hole.Look down the hole.
>>4571502How high can we float the torch ?
>>4571502float a torch up...
>>4571502I wonder... if that chain goes anywhere.>>4571530Yeah, Lets have renne telekinesis a torch up there.
>>4571536>>4571547>>4571548You float the torch up, slowly and shakily. You see the glistening of the blood before you see the form. Two and a half pairs of eyes look down at you. You hear a faint gurgling noise, and cannot help but listen to the three voices softly reaching your ears."Please...""Closer..."

>>4571871Ruuuun
>>4571871>Octagram on forheadMan, I feel sorry for these guys. Also>Three voicesHuh.We've got Gaston's chicken-arms there clutching the chain, and there's no horn so that must be Gusty's head there.Wonder why Shimmer or Meadow are missing from the chorus.
>>4571871Float the torch closer.
>>4571927>three voices>faint gurgling noiseGaston is headlessHe's still trying to speak
>>4571887>>4571890>>4571909You guys sure? I mean, we've faced worse at this point. It's a horrific abomination, but it can't really be more of a threat than anything else we've faced so far, unless it can somehow pull some psychic bullshit to screw us over. Nohorn means no OP TK too, I assume.
>>4571887>>4571890>>4571909D-don't leave usreally though, If its not messing with our head like the first time... maybe it has something useful to share with us Run for the love of god run renne.
>>4571970what he saiddon't be a sissy
>>4571970Well, have Saffron stand in front, in any case.Tumblrguy seems to think these guys are a waste of time, and to be honest, I trust him for some reason.
>>4571983>If it's not messing with our head like the last time...>>4571871>You... cannot help but listen to the three voices
>>4571970I would counter that physical attacks aren't going to do anything to an undead creature unless it's massive enough to dismember it, and even then it'd probably just pull itself back together, plus we have no idea what sort of abilities it could potentially have. If it wants us to get closer the wiser thing to do is get away and plan a strategy
>room we haven't been in yet>come back later a few differnt times >its always there, waiting
Wait.Is it... actually talking? Out loud?
>>4571927I wonder if the pike room with have some kinda octagon spell like we found in the 2nd armory. If we are leaving, we should head there.
>>4572120Don't know until we get Saffron and/or Chronicle in here. I think Renne might be on her own at the moment, with those two lagging back like with the goat room. If we're sticking around, call those two in first, with a warning not to freak out.
>>4571927>Man, I feel sorry for these guys.If we can find a way with out really putting renne at risk. We should help them out, put them to rest.
>>4572149>going by ourselvesFUCK
at least we looked up...
>>4572159On top of everything else we have to worry about...
>>4572159Can't we just toss them in the lava?
>>4572120If >>4571954's idea's right, then they must be. We could hear all four back when they were in our head outside the spire room.Of course, that raises major question on how Shimmering Star's two halves are talking. Perhaps she managed to pull herself together?
You can only stare up in shock. You go to take a step back, and bring the torch down, and you can see it twitch. The labored breathing of torn, dead lungs increases and the mass heaves. With a wheeze and a gurgle the voices come again."Please...""CLOSER"You can hear Saffron approaching from the hallway behind you.
>>4572263<Forgot the cutscene tag, sorry.>
>>4572263Time to wait for saffron to come and save us ... again.

>>4572688Maybe it just wants a hug?
>>4572688I think I see Shimmering's horn and at least part of her head over on the right side of the zombiesplotch.>captcha: orThem sacrilege.
<end cutscene>In a flurry of hooves and talons, its appendages seek purchase on the stone floor in an attempt to get closer to you."Please... Renne..."

>>4572792Fgsfds bloody cliffhangers. Thanks for the session, things got pretty drat creepy this session. Have to wonder what would have happened if we hadn't looked up, though.Tommorrow's back to the ususal start time, right?
>>4572813>>4572820I was on a time limit. I ended just when I thought I would need to, sorry! Starting time... I'll post about it later. Might be earlier than usual, though not as early as this one.
>>4572886Haha, it's fine, it's a decent enough place to stop.Righto then, I've got to head to sleep myself, so hopefully some of the other Anons can keep an eye on the thread.

>>4591669>>4591685>>4591662Not that it matters, We won't be able to scream... We'll just end up sitting there until saffron shows up or this thing gets close enough to do whatever it is its trying to do.
Let's smack it around a little! We're wearing that new fancy armor aren't we?
Tell it to stay away.
>>4591731>>4591717yeah, we've run from everything thus far or left it for Saffronwe need to pony up
Tell it not to come closer. Tell it firmly to stay back.
I don't think they are that dangerous, The tumblrguy didn't really think too much of them.Just a couple of poor confused souls.or maybe they wanna jump in renne's head, who knows
You stand your ground, hooves firmly planted, and yell at the creature to stop. You tell it not to come any closer. The abomination halts, and the faces twist into what you would guess is a look of confusion. Its eyes twitch, still staring directly into you. You can feel your head tingling, and the four voices from before can be heard. Very faintly, but with much more clarity."Speak...""Closer"

>>4592718I think that our influencing Saffron was a separate incident. Renne's subconscious and Saffron's are separate, and it was for such a short time that I don't think it really affects anything.

>>4596409No, don't do this.Help them or not, We shouldn't break split our concentration anymore than we have to.
>>4596286>No pawsI'm worried about Saffron now.And these guys apparently feel as if reaching Renne will "set them free" or something....I propose we back away, as bad as I feel about them. I mean, they're already dead, so it's not like we can kill them either.
>>4596409I think he ran away.If he will not serve the Diamond Dogs, then he will serve on their firing lines!Ask them who made them this way! If they say nothing, charge!
>>4596438Agreed, don't break line of sight.
>>4596440He and Saffron were lagging behind in the tunnel. He's just arrived, while Saffron's still being slow.>>4596286
>>4596428They may not be able to help us at all or maybe they'll have some last bit of information to share before they gain their 'freedom'.>>4596440pretty sure this is chance's doing or the guide's.I saw keep our defenses up, but try and help the poor things.
Maybe if we focus on that tingling headache we could focus in on their ghost voices and they could communicate more clearly? Just a thought, might not be a good idea considering what happened last time we blacked out near them.
I'm for helping them, I just hope they don't... blow up, like something from a video game.
>>4596525that accrued to me, but they seem to be responding to our voice and last time they were in our head they were saying just about the same thing as they are now. So i vote for keeping our mind as distant from theirs as possible.
>>4596525i think last time they were just too strong and we weren't preparedwe're "girding our mind" now so it cant get in
>>4596584Yeah, I really don't think they have anything useful to say. Tumblrguy has echoed this to us multiple times and their responses seem to corroborate it.This time, though, he doesn't seem as frightened about us talking to them. Their psychic influence seems to have died down and he's okay with helping us gird ourselves to face them.Do we have a course of action?
>>4596654He didn't seem that worried last time either, I don't think these guys were ever much of a real threat. Just a Choice. We could move in closerStand our groundOr runTalking with them isn't going to get us anywhere.
>>4596694Can we tell them to wait, maybe? And that we'll take them out with us when we leave? If nothing else, I'd like to give them a burial somewhere less utterly horrible than this temple
>>4596734>>4596694Yeah let's leave this room. Maybe we can shut the door to the hallway behind us?
>>4596694don't forget that they are between us and the hole in the floor leading to lava
>>4596734With their broken mind and desperation to get as close to Renne's light as possible, with it reminding them of the sun and freedom, I don't know if we'll be able to get them to understand that.>>4596743Doubt it. It looked like Chance wrecked it pretty throughly when he busted through it.
>>4596765Oh, you're right. Shoot.Well let's leave anyway.
>>4596743>>4596765this room has a door though
>>4596779Before we go tell them that we cannot help them yet, but that we'll return when we can. We'll take them to freedom and the true sunlight, when the time is right.
My vote is still for trying to help them.>>4596734>Can we tell them to wait, maybe?Maybe they're just really existed, but they seem to be dying... again? Not sure how much, if any time they have left.>burial somewhereWe could toss them out into the sea with the hundreds of other dead poniesI'm worried if we try to leave they'll pounce us though.
>>4596815That's right, I'd forgotten that. That was just a normal door like the one between the stairs and the fire door room though, and they didn't seem to have any trouble shutting that one. Might slow them down, though.
>>4596876excited*
>>4596876>I'm worried if we try to leave they'll pounce us though.walk backwards!
>>4596876...Actually, that's an idea. We could show them the sea exit; if they're main goal is to get out of the temple so their souls are no longer trapped, that'd probably do it. And if their bodies still float then they might even get a final glimpse the sun, even if it's long after they've suffocated.
>>4571871Something I meant to point out. Can't see it on any of the other pictures, but here it looks like whichever head's in front has an octagon carved into it's forehead. If that's part of why they've ressurrected, then we've got cause for worry.>>4596939>they're main goalGoddamnit me.
>>4596939Ahh, it's over…… My sun… it's setting…… It's dark, so dark…
Hey LK, You said this one was going to be shorter than other 'normal' ones. Just wondering how long so I know if its worth trying to stay up.
You tell them that you want to help them reach the light, but that you cannot do so now and will come back for them. You keep your eyes focused, as well as your mind, and begin to back up. There is a spike in your headache as the abomination twitches."No..."You take another step back."No. NO. NO NO NO NO."With surprising speed it lifts itself off of the ground and lunges for you, Gaston's talons digging into your left foreleg. The rest of the creature follows the momentum of the lunge, Meadow's intestines wrapping around the figure, spraying blood on you. The creature once again tries to "right" itself and prepares itself once more.
>>4597253<I'm gonna go for a few more hours to make up for the huge gap in today's session. About 2 more hours or so.>
>>4597305Reel the fuck back in horror and blast it with your horn or something. Jesus fuck..
>>4597305Pull backUse the torch to try and ward them back
Saffron should be here any moment, no doubt chronicle already ran past her and shes on her way to check up on us.>>4597305I don't care how desperate they are, that is just rude.I'm not sure if we can out run this freaky thing. How much can renne lift with her telekinesis? or maybe we wouldn't even have to lift... just push'em back into the hole.
>>4597366>>4597515You scream from the hit, and do your best leap backwards to distance yourself from the mass. You can hear Saffron running down the hall behind you now. You ready your telekinesis in an attempt to push it away from yourself.
>>4597305Shimmering Star. Meadow. Gusty. Gaston. We'll be back, and we will get you out of here.Back the fuck out and TK the door shut behind us, to hoepfully slow it down.>SSMGGI'm calling this abomination Smeg from now on
>>4597848>>4597865Whoops, 2slow there. I guess carry on. Make sure to keep the mental barriers up.
>>4597865Man, you really think they're still able to be helped? I dunno...I call the tumblrguy "Dr. Pepper" in my head
>>4597915If nothing else, I want to get their bodies out of here. This place ain't healthy for the soul.Welp, guess I am now, too. That just suits him too damn well for some reason. Blog colour plus advisory character, I guess.
>>4597848Once we get to a safe place we should really clean that wound...>Meadow's intestines wrapping around the figure, spraying blood on youAnd they've all been dead and rotting for a bit... That thing will fester for sure.>>4597915As much as I would like us to help them, I don't they its worth the risk if they're going to act like this. >"Dr. Pepper"I'm going to borrow that
>>4597973Yeah, definitely. Was planning to suggest it myself when we were done dealing with them.
>>4597848>>4597848Lava is bright, Maybe They'll enjoy that.
<cutscene>You think your hardest, trying to push them away and steel your mind against their invasion. Their cries in your head die down, but you hear the ruined bodies before you trying to yell, unable to do much more than sputter. Your aura grows around them, surrounding them entirely, pushing them back. The field grows larger and larger the more you concentrate.
Does Renne's magic look more... chaotic... than usual?
>>4598214Yeah, It does look a bit different, Maybe We're tapping into that bit of armor we are wearing.
>>4598173I almost feel bad for the thing(s).I hope we don't kill it.although that might be for the best
>>4598263YeahI can't really imagine any other realistic scenario than putting it out of it's misery.
>>4598263I know what you mean, but I think we were supposed to pity it.If they do die I bet they'll be trapped here forever, though odds are there was nothing we could of done for them anyways, they are, no doubt already bound to this horrible place.
<cutscene>With a loud clap, they are thrown backwards, skidding across the stone floor and towards the hole. Their bodies catch the chain and slam into the opposite end of the hole in the floor with a sickening, wet crunching noise.
>>4598380Just four more in the sea of what could be thousands. We'll have more souls than theirs to put to rest if we ever figure this place out. Remember that none of this is our fault.
>>4598431Keep an eye on them
>>4598435>Remember that none of this is our faultWell, Renne seems to be the key to everything here... so if she wasn't on the boat... Also, who was it that triggered the Spikes that split the ship into three bits? did we ever figure that out?
>>4598497Chance perhaps ?
>>4598431Renne's got guns, now. This is the first time we haven't had to rely on someone else to save us in a crisis.
>>4598510It wasn't chance, he was with everyone on the boat.
>>4598497Not really. We've got "And with spilled blood shall rise great pillars cleaving in two both the fleets and the sea", but where's that blood come from? There was that goat corpse, but that was pretty old, wasn't it?The altar below the goat had fresh blood on it though, we never did work out where that came from. Maybe we should ask Saffron if she can tell by smell who's blood it was next time we're in the vicinity.
>>4598553It having to do with the goat was going to be my next guess.
>>4598521Wait, are we sure they were on our boat? What if they were on another boat that came before ours?Just asking, I'm not entirely clear on this.
>>4598637>Just asking, I'm not entirely clear on this.Yeah, they were on the same boat. Go back and check log 1&2, we even talked to the griffon.
>>4598654You're right, screw that asshole, he didn't want any of our fancy fruit.
<cutscene>You run up to the hole in the floor and look down. Gaston managed to grab ahold of the chain with one arm, the other having been broken. You watch as Meadow and Star are thrown from the mass of bodies, Meadow landing on the edge of the floor below with a loud thud. Gusty Gale reels his head back, still attached to Gaston, and lets out a horrid screeching scream that echoes up into your room. Behind it all, you can hear Saffron running up to you, hurriedly, with the sound of hooves following her.
>>4598654We talked to A griffon, it's not confirmed it was Gaston. Pretty likely though, especially with that old lady deal.Looking at the logs, Chronicle says he was on a cruise ship that had the same thing happen as ours, and that it happened "Just earlier today" relative to when we found him.Possible that there were two cruise ships bringing people from different locations, I suppose. Seems odd that our boat wouldn't have recieved an SOS from them, though. Also, a problem with his story I hadn't noticed before now; if he came in through the same entrance as we did, why was the snakedisc door locked shut when we came through?
>>4598724Well, even if they ended up here before us... there is still the question of who sunk their ship and where they are now.
>>4598724Chance closed it to keep people from trying to leave?>>4598762Doubt there was more than one ship.
>>4598762I had been assuming that Baldwin was the one in control of the spikes, and that maybe that mystery room on the 8th floor might be some sort of control room for them.
As we are in a cutscene and there isn't a whole lot of time left i think I'll just check on the thread when I wake up like I normally do.Catch you next week LK and thanks again.
<cutscene>Your throat catches as you watch Star's body hit several chains and the spire on the way down, ultimately ending up into the lava at the base.
>>4598833we are going to have the biggest mental breakdown when this is over
<end cutscene>
>>4598998whwhoah
>>4598998fuck
>>4598998Oh my god.
>>4598998i...i don't want to fight the golems anymore
>>4598998There's a frame in the middle there of something I think
>>4599064It's just the fist coming down from above
>>4598998Keep watching Guston.Do we want to pry him off and finish the job?
>>4599112Better to finish it, I guess...
I can'tI can'tI just can't
>>4598998have Saffron cut the chain off before Gaston climbs up
>>4599150>>4599236Saffron runs up behind you, looking around the bloodied room, and looking at your scratches. She's clenching and unclenching her paw in frustration as she asks if you're okay."Renne! What happened!? Who did this?"You tell her that you can't do it anymore, you can't, that you just want it to stop. Saffron looks down the chain to see the twisted horror hanging there, trying its best to climb back up, gurgling and screaming.
>>4599391Gird our guts one more time. We can take care of ourselves. We can pull our own weight, and apparently the weight of several other bodies equal our greater than our size. It might not seem like much, but above us Celestia has raised an entire sun several times since we came down here. That's the sun we want to see again, and we'll go up there and see it for all of them. We're Oklahoma Renne Motherfucking Crux; and we're gonna live. Patch up that hurt paw and let's roll.
>>4599391Oh, ouch, those scratches look painful.Chin up, Renne, you stood up for yourself for once.
>>4599391First things first, let's take care of that scratch before it has a chance to get infected.
>>4599391it's okay Rennelet it outlet it all out
>>4599391HUGS!
>>4599434>>4599469>>4599506>First things firstGuston's still clawing his way back up to us. We stop to take care of our wounds when we don't have an immediate threat.
>>4599514Sounds like he's struggling to me
>>4599514Fuck that assnugget, we'll dunk him back down if he climbs up. Not like he's got wings or any shit. Did you see us dunk those kids? We baller now. Until something bigger comes and puts us in our place again
>>4599391>>4599514Have Saffron do whatever it takes to eliminate that screeching abomination. Smash it with the sword if it'll reach. Even if she has to rip away the god damn chain it's hanging on.Then move in for the comforting hugs. Have Saffron tell Renne that it'll all be okay and they'll all make it out of this mess in one piece. That'll totally happen, right? ;_;
>>4599542>Women hugging women>hahgay.mp3
>>4599542what does it mattereven if we do manage to get out this place will still be hereall those poor people...
>>4599552
Saffron looks at the chain, and down at monster clawing its way back up. She braces herself and hefts the sword up horizontally with ease.
>>4599567>tfw Saffron is not a pony
The sword slices almost faster than you can see, and the chain is cleaved in half. You can hear the screeching of Gusty as they fall. Saffron looks over the edge and stares for a while."Into the lava."
>>4599578>>4599592mmm, mothafucka
>>4599592>Gaston Dies from FallingJust like in the movie!
>>4599592
Saffron walks over to you and crouches down, putting her arm around you and squeezing you into her side."I'm sorry Renne, I was watching the doorway to make sure everything was safe from that way. I came as soon as Chronicle said you were in trouble."She looks at the bloodstains around the room as you continue to stare at your spot on the floor."I'm really proud of you, Renne. You stood up against that... that thing. You were very brave. And that noise, was that you?"You nod and look up to her. She says nothing and squeezes you tighter, smiling.
Woo! Thanks, everyone.
>>4599883Thanks LKWas about to pass out there, really glad we started early.
>>4599883Whew. That was a session, even though the thing wasn't really a threat. Thanks as always!Happy birthday!
>>4599883Thanks as always. This was a fun one.
>>4599920>wasn't really a threatit scratched us really fucking goodi shudder to think what would have happened if we actually went closer...
>>4599938Knowing some of the people here, she may have tried to hug it.
>>4599947>engaged in battle with murderbeast>distract your friend who is obviously kicking ass>get rescued by the dude we forgot aboutTruly not our finest hour...
>>4599947...I admit I was tempted. It was too unstable to try, though, didn't know how it'd react to having Renne's light. It'd probably try to meld with her.
>>4599920Thanks!Also, I'm not sure when Archive Anon is gonna show up, so we gotta play the bumping game again. If you use this script you can watch its position rather easily instead of bumping every X amount of hours.. http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/130532
>>4600053I've forgotten, is the bump limit here 500 posts? I was woried it might have been 300, but you post just now clearly bumped it, so we're still fine.
poor gastonpoor gustypoor meadowpoor starit's justtoo horrible
>>4600078I know. Them dying was sad, their corpses being fucked with was secondary to concerns about not dying, but this has actually got me a bit angry about the situation. Before I wanted to escape and probably stop Baldwin in the process so he can't continue harming ships, but now I almost want Renne to put on the last armour, become the conduit and tear this place apart.
>>4600075500, yeah>>4600078i have to say, this whole thing left me feeling horriblethey didn't deserve any of this but i guess its okaythey were in pain and incoherent and we put them out of their misery
>>4600110>Before I wanted to escape and probably stop BaldwinHow are we going to do that?To get the armor we need to get to the spire, which means fighting two golemsAfter seeing >>4598998 I don't know if I want to wrassle with them anymore
>>4600524I don't know. Maybe if Renne's magic has actually gotten boosted by the gem/armour they can take it between them? Renne holding it's arms while Saffron clobbers it?Also look at those tendrils creeping ever further out from her arms. >>4599877Poor Saffron. I wonder if Renne'll start getting those from the collar now, too.
>>4600566I'm fairly certain it's been boostedAnd I think those tendrils are inevitable for us nowThe upside is that they haven't really changed who Saffon isShe's still our adorable little puppy, right? ;_;
