565906

When we last left our "heroes", they had entered the artillery wing.

565907

>>565906
We are looking for those AA emplacements, I believe.

565908

Shooty time?

565909

Make a third dopple '1d10'

Roll #1 6 = 6

565910

>>565909
I mean second one

565911

>>565906
Gib swords pls

Roll #1 1 + 2 = 3

565912

>>565909
It phases into existence.

>>565907
This corridor twists around, curving along the battlements. You can't see the AA placements from here.

>>565911
You stab yourself with a magic sword.

565913

>>565912
But we can reach them on top of the battlements somehow right? Any stairs or something? There's got to be a way to get there that doesn't involve flying.

Roll #1 1 = 1

565914

>>565912
"Ow! Crap… that smarts."
…. I don't suppose there's like signs or something to tell us where to go?

565915

>>565913
This corridor is physically below the battlements and twists along the edge of the castle.

>>565914
You can go forward or back.

565916

>>565912
The lasers are visible, right?

565917

>>565915
Alright then, I suppose we should just push on further.

565918

>>565915
We go forward then

565919

>>565912
Let's try to get there, follow the passage.

565920

Guys could we please analyze this laser trigger system and figure out the trap?

565921

>>565920
We are past that!

565922

>>565921
It's a gateway room that connects to the AA though, the only wat there.

565923

>>565916
The traps were disabled.

>>565917
>>565918
>>565919

You press on ahead. There's a door ahead here.

565924

>>565923
Man I got it all wrong last night.
Move on with the others.

565925

>>565915
Is there a stealthy route I can see to approach? '1d10'

Roll #1 10 = 10

565926

>>565922
And we already got past that.

>>565923
Aha!

Look through the keyhole if there is one.

Roll #1 7 = 7

565927

>>565923
Appraise the door '1d10'

Roll #1 2 = 2

565928

>>565925
There's a window here. If you remove the bars and scale the sheer face of the castle, that might be an option.

>>565926
There isn't a keyhole. Perplexingly, there is only a metal plate here.

>>565927
You can't tell much from back there other than that it has metal and wood. Maybe you should investigate its composition in specific ways, like listening to the sound it makes when you knock on it.

565929

>>565928
Not even a handle then?

"… Well, this seems like a job for our master thief and engineer."

565930

>>565928
>>565929
"Why don't we just blast it open?"

565931

>>565928
Well, I'll go ahead and remove the bars. '1d10'

Roll #1 1 = 1

565932

>>565931
You misjudge the strength of the bars and when you shove on them to test how secured they are, they come loose and you fall head first out of the caste, down about fifteen feet.

Roll agility for how you take the fall.

565933

>>565932
Goddammit. Can I grab or Teleport him to safety before he gets hurt?

Roll #1 10 = 10

565934

>>565932
Agile goat powers! '1d10' dc-1

Roll #1 7 = 7

565935

>>565928
Knock on the door to figure it out? '1d10'

Roll #1 1 = 1

565936

>>565933
>>565934
Tela warps him back into the room. He lands the two-foot fall.

It still hurts, though. Teleporting doesn't remove downward momentum.

>>565935
The heavy fake door collapses on top of you, revealing that this hallway was a dead end!

565937

>>565936
"Ugh, waste of time…"

565938

>>565936
"Aaah" '1d10' get out from under the door

Roll #1 4 = 4

565939

>>565936
"Oh dear. This does not bode well."
I guess we'll have to backtrack then. Back the way we came!

565940

>>565938
Still being crushed.

>>565939
You return to the main hall.

565941

>>565936
"Aw shiiit…"

>>565938
Help her [1d10]

Roll #1 3 = 3

565942

>>565940
>>565938
Stop this sillyness.
'1d10'

Roll #1 1 = 1

565943

>>565940
Could this be the end? By a door?
'1d10' escape the door.

Roll #1 8 = 8

565944

>>565940
Is there another way to reach the AA guns that I can find?

Roll #1 1 = 1

565945

>>565942
You do something silly.

>>565944
Nope, better give up.

>>565943
You finally squeeze out.

565946

>>565945
I need a layout of the place and what we explored so far or I will be unable to help.

565947

>>565945
I can spot the way, I'm sure.
'1d10'

Roll #1 4 = 4

565948

>>565945
What kind of nonsense is that! I'm not giving up!

We went one way which was a dead end… and the other way which lead to the upper palace thingy. There must be more than two ways!

Roll #1 6 = 6

565949

>>565945
"Hey, can we just get rid of the wall?"

565950

>>565949
"Anyone has explosives? I could use my spell but… probably a bit too powerful."

565951

>>565936
"I'll try to sneak up by climbing the wall. Any featherbrains can feel free to follow me."
Get climbing! '1d10' dc-1

Roll #1 7 = 7

565952

>>565950
"I've got grenades."

565953

>>565945
I look around for a way '1d10'

Roll #1 5 = 5

565954

>>565952
"Well, feel free to use them on that dead end wall."

565955

>>565947
>>565953

You see no obvious routes. Instead of rolling to search, why not actually search with suggestions of your own?

>>565951
You climb outside onto the sheer edge of the castle. Up and to the left you see windows where anti-air artillery are firing. It's a tricky climb.

565956

>>565954
Toss her a grenade before I start climbing.

565957

>>565955
…..The artillery is underneath us right?
Pull a mining pick from my hat '1d10+2'

Roll #1 10 + 2 = 12

565958

>>565957
You have no way of knowing where the artillery is oriented from you.

You pull out a mining pick.

565959

>>565955
>>565956
Alright. Light it.
"Take cover!"
Toss it at the dead end where the door was.

Roll #1 8 = 8

565960

>>565958
Keep it around.
This might come in handy.

"Light, is the artillery this way?"

565961

>>565959
Grenades are no different than any great weapon. There's a little carbon mark left on the wall where it exploded.

It was loud, though.

565962

>>565955
Well, nothing for it. I start climbing carefully. '1d10' dc-1

Roll #1 4 = 4

565963

>>565962
You slip on the smooth stones, but don't fall. No forward progress, though…

565964

>>565960
"This hallway should lead to it… But I do not have any blueprints to see where the exact positions are."

>>565963
Is there some kind of a secret unlocking mechanism or something? Castles sometimes have those spinny wall things, right?

565965

>>565961
"Someone got. Chalk? Pen and Paper?"

565966

>>565961
Oh…
"Fuck. Wish we had taken a cannon or something."

565967

>>565963
I go to the window.
Can I get an idea of which direction the artillery is by sound? '1d10'

Roll #1 10 = 10

565968

>>565963
Okay, even more carefully. '1d10' dc-1

Roll #1 6 = 6

565969

>>565967
Sticking your head as far as you can out the window (with the help of someone else to hold you), you crane your neck and see the edge of the artillery. It looks like it is forward and above you on the curve of the castle.

>>565968
You sidle along until you're under the artillery window. There are cannons sticking out at all angles. There must be others on the other side too, to cover the land side of the castle.

565970

>>565969
Above me….
I fly up towards the ceiling inside the room and grab the mining pick.
"Everypony, watch out. I'm gonna try something."
Use the mining pick to start make a hole in the ceiling '1d10'

Roll #1 3 = 3

565971

>>565969
Wave to Selena and motion at the guns.

565972

>>565970
Wave at you when you stick you ref head out.

565973

>>565970
"You know… I could try my orbital strike spell to make a hole like that."

565974

>>565973
"….Wait a second, I'll get out of your way."

565975

>>565970
"This is rather ridiculous. There must be an easier way."

565976

>>565965
No one answers you. Maybe they don't value your opinion?

565977

>>565975
"Maybe, Light, but what is it then?"

565978

>>565970
"I see! A way above " float out of the way.

565979

>>565970
When you look at the ceiling you notice a trap door.

565980

>>565977
"A hidden entrance somewhere, I am sure."

565981

>>565976
;_; forever a fae. Look through the baka yagi's bag for something to write with '1d10'

Roll #1 1 = 1

565982

>>565979
…..Wait what?
"Everypony, there's a trap door here. I'll open it, watch out."
Check for traps.

565983

>>565981
He left, which makes it hard to search his bag.

565984

565985

>>565982
"How did we not notice that…"

565986

>>565984
Eh..I'll just open it.
I'm not a trap expert.

565987

>>565986
Reflex

565988

>>565982
"Well holy shit, look at that."

565989

>>565987
'1d10'

Roll #1 8 = 8

565990

>>565989
I'm a reflexy pony.

565991

>>565989
You evade the fold-out stairs as they come down.

565992

>>565990
Pat her on the head.
"Well done, miss Selena."

565993

>>565982
"Ooh"
>>565983
"What?! Where is that goat?!"

565994

>>565991
I fly in. Let my dopples go first.
I fly in with a mean grin to intimidate. '1d10'

>>565993
"He's climbing the walls."

>>565992
"Thanks."

Roll #1 3 = 3

565995

>>565991
I'll take point. Climb the stairs carefully.

565996

>>565993
"Taking the scenic route, I believe."
I chuckle and look out of the window.
"Mister Hircus!?"

565997

>>565991
Would I be able to throw a grenade in to take ou the guns?

565998

>>565996
Smile and wave.

565999

>>565998
"We found a way in."

566000

>>565996
>>565991
>>565994
"Baka yagi.."
Rub my head and float up the trap door

566001

>>565999
Nod and motion for you to go on, then show a grenade and point at the guns.

566002

>>566001
Well, that's clear enough.

Go after Selena and Tela then.

566003

>>565994
>>565995
>>566000
>>566002

This appears to be a hollowed out level of the castle without walls – only great pillars for structural support. There are numerous heavy anti-air cannons here at each of the two great balconies on opposite sides. In the middle of the room is a logistics center, and a staircase leading up into the fancy Neighponese part of the castle.

They appear to have heard you and were waiting for you, because you all get tackled (including the doppelgangers) as a wrestling brawl breaks out!

You have three attack options:
>Sidestep
>Rush Attack
>Headlock

Sidestep beats Rush
Rush beats Headlock
Headlock beats Sidestep

>>565997
Your grenades are no different than any other Great weapon. It would be like attacking the cannon with a bastard sword.

566004

>>566003
Do we have to roll to Sidestep/etc?

566005

>>566003
Side step! Its hilarious to imagine trying anything else

566006

566007

>>566003
Rock paper scissors huh? Alright, I dig. I can wrestle. Rush it up.

566008

>>566003
I Sidestep
Dopple 1 Rushes
Dopple 2 Headlocks

566009

>>566003
I am by no means a wrestler! Do I have to call what my minions do as well?

I'll Sidestep either way.
If necessary, Wark Headlocks while HP and Rosemary Rush.

566010

>>566003
Well, is it wide enough for me to climb in? Because i'll do that if i can.

566011

>>566005
Headlock!

He pins you!

>>566007
Headlock! You bash him in the belly!

>>566008
Rush! You let him run into the wall!

Headlock! Your doppel smashes into him!

Rush! Your doppel is destroyed in a blast of magic!

>>566009
Your foe also sidesteps!

Wark pins his foe!

Rosemary runs into a wall when her foe sidesteps!

Dopple Rushes her opponent.

Now Rush.
Wark Headlocks.
Rosemary Sidesteps.

566018

>>566011
Sidestep?

566019

Jump in and headlock Manako's attacker.

566020

He sidesteps! You're nearly defeated…

>>566014
He sidesteps! Cleverer than you thought!

>>566016
Yeah! Headlock'll do it!

But the opponent sidestepped! Your doppel is crushed against the wall!

>>566018
One of those soldiers who defeated a doppel engages you! You both sidestep!

>>566017
Fixed, she'll rush this round I guess.

You both rushed!
Wark pins!
Both sidestepped!
HP pinned!

>>566019
Before you aid her, you'll need to deal with your own assailant! You both headlocked. A stalemate.

Headlock! Or neckhug at my size.

566026

>>566020
Oh yeah? Well put him in a headlock!

566027

He tries to sidestep – that finishes him off! Now you can join any one fight, though you have to see it through to completion!

>>566022
You can't use a gun at this close range, you're grappling!

He tries to headlock you and you bash him!

>>566023

>>566033
Grappling happens much faster than normal fighting. Each action only takes one second. You successfully summon a Doppelganger, but this occupies you for the next five rounds as it takes a whole six seconds to cast a spell ( a normal combat round).

So instead of fighting each other, we should make a deal. You're here to seize the artillery, right? The siege isn't going well for us anyway, I expect an order to retreat soon. Why don't we go our separate ways with our friends instead of gambling on one last round? You can have the artillery and I'll retreat out the back with my unit."

You have entered into a holding area between the two halves of the castle. It looks like there were guards here once, but they have abandoned the position, perhaps to aid in the siege. Happy Puzzle fidgets in her seat. "But everything's important!"

"Alright, fine then. Let's start from the beginning of the battle. You said that Emrille went up to barrage the archers, right?"

"Yeah! They died or something, but they got replaced right away!"

"And then?"

"Well, Tela tried to make some swords but it didn't work."

"That's an example of something that is unimportant, Miss Puzzle."

"Well, we tried to heal Mister Wark but he was already okay."

"What about that doctor you found – Shu. What was he doing?"

"He looked around the room and noticed something… in each of the corners of the room there were these really fancy candlesticks that he realized he could cast magic from as long as he was in one of those squares!"

"Excuse me? Squares?"

"Uh, you know – big tiles on the floor."

"Oh. Very well then, continue."

"Well I know Mister Shu went around and tried to look for animals later… I'm not sure if that's what he did next though."

"What about the rogue we picked up in Nagobana – Hircus?"

"He went and slid under the rug. I thought it was silly, but maybe it's stealthy if your opponent is already distracted?"

"Hm, I see. And Mister Tree?"

"I saw that he was looking for some way to climb up to the archers on the mezzanine, but he found out there was no way up. He yelled over to warn me about that after he looked!"

"Chip, then. What about Mister Chip, no doubt leading the assault?

"He tried to take out archers, too, but like I said, they got replaced. It seemed like they had an unlimited number… they just kept coming. It was kinda freaky!"

"Okay, enough of this. Just tell me – the Kokujin, he used charging attacks, right? Do you remember exactly where he went?"

Snarl right back.
"Do you have any fucking idea how scared I was? Fuck you!"

568513

Hircus is talking to Rosemary. HP seems to be relating the events of a battle to Abilio.

Wark approaches and gives you a relieved hug and a quick kiss.

"Yer arright."

568514

>>568499

568516

>>568508

So… I wanted to say thanks."

568517

>>568511
"Oh boo-hoo, poor little Tela got scared, I feel sooooo fucking bad for you then!"

568518

>>568515
"Nah, I died two times and almost kicked it a third from a simple fall.
It's not been my most glorious day.
But you on the other hoof…
Can you recount the battle to me? And what happened next?
"

568519

>>568508
I wipe my brow.
"That is one hell of a fight I do tell you, but now that we got the city plus the commander dead, I think we will now be able to take hold of it. " I grin,
"So any plans to rest or are we going for another run of privateering." I grin at him.

568521

>>568514
He nods absently as he listens to HP. "Yes, don't worry, we're not harming civilians."

>>568516
"Oh… right. Yeah… I guess I didn't think very well, huh?"

>>568519
"We need to collect our earnings."

568522

>>568513
I nod.
"Yes I am. A shame I had to pass away at that point after coming so far… still, it is good to hear we were victorious in the end. Today was quite tiring."

568523

>>568508
"The assassins are still here, I believe Li…miss Heart wants to kill them."

568525

>>568522
He nuzzles you warmly. "I'd be happy ta preen ya or make ya feel good in other ways, if it'd help relax ya after tha ordeal."

>>568523
"I'm sure we can worry about that after I'm finished receiving the account of the battle."

568526

>>568521
Chuckle a little at that.
"Hey, I was the idiot who headed back into a crumbling castle to try to find a neckbrace for Flowing. You were just trying to help me out.
So… yeah. I owe you now. Anything you need my help with, don't be afraid to ask."

568527

>>568525
"We are not done yet."

568528

>>568521
"Earnings indeed, so we sail back to Awa if I am correct and get it. Those guys better pay-up, we fight tooth and nail for this keep." I nod before stopping and think.
"I think we need to secure this place after everyone has rested, I just had a gut feeling something is still…. amiss." I look at Abilio.

568529

>>568525
Nod.
"Okay, I'll see if I can be useful somewhere else."

I'll trot to…

>>568522
"Light! How are you feeling?"

568531

>>568521
"Ah! See, considering the aid I have given to your crew, I was hoping for a small favour. Perhaps a word with the government for some reward or sponsorship for me to set up another clinic… I doubt I'll get many customers of my preferred variety around here anymore. Yes, that would be very helpful for me."

568533

>>568529
"Somewhat worn out, I admit. It has been a troublesome day, though I hear you made it to the end. Most impressive, miss Springleaf."

568534

>>568533
"I was just lucky, I suppose. I wish I could have helped more…"

568535

>>568518
"It was crazy, chip and I had to fix up the canons that Chip pushed over in the first place, to be able to attack back at the huge sky ship, and um.. the assassins killed chip on the way up there, and chip was killed again by bricks, I was almost killed by bricks. "

568536

>>568517
Stare you down for a moment, breathing heavily.
"I… screw you. Just screw you. That's fucking it. I'm through with you, you heartless fucking bitch."
Turn around and stomp away.

568538

>>568535
"Everyone has his foes, Manako.
There's no shame in that.
So the assassins are still at large?
"

568539

>>568534
"All of us do, I believe. But not to worry, soon this will be over and we will be able to rest on our hard earned coin."

568540

>>568536
Narrow my eyes.
"Yeah, just walk away, that will fucking solve everything, you cunt."
Turn around.
Find Abilio, wherever he is.

568541

>>568539
>>568539
"Yes…do you still want to take down those assassins?"

568542

>>568538
"Yes, we didn't kill them"

568543

>>568541
"I would like to, yes. But not without a very solid plan."

568544

>>568542
"I see. Do you feel up to the task, Manako?"

568547

>>568526
"Alright… I'm gonna head back now."

She heads off to meet with Light Heart.

>>568527
"Ach, I know."

>>568528
"The assassins, you mean?"

>>568531
"Aid? Oh, you must be the Shiban, Shu was it?"

568548

>>568547
Abilio.
Where is he?

568549

>>568544
"I will do my best tree-sempai!"

568550

>>568547
"Why, yes, that's me."

Stand tall and clear my throat.

"I'm also open to new clients."

568551

>>568540
He's just finished talking to HP and Rosemary.

As soon as you come around he raises his brows and gives you a hug. "I thought we'd lost you, you reckless little fool."

568552

>>568549
"Then let's go."
Offer her a shoulder to rest on and off to Light Heart.

568553

>>568550
"Looking for work in privateering? I do have an open position on the Hourglass."

568554

>>568543
"Right, once we rested up, we should go."

568556

>>568547
"We will have our rest soon. Perhaps treat ourselves to a nice meal to swallow today's events with?"

>>568554
"Indeed."

568557

>>568556
Are you in your room?
If that's the case, me and Manako just knocked.

568558

>>568553
Find Scarab.

568559

>>568551
Push him away.
"Well it was not because of you that we won. Where the fuck where you when that fucking airship rolled around? Do we need to take care of fucking everything?! Were you busy wanking, or why couldn't you just aim a few of those few hundred cannons at it?! Or summon demons, or whatever, to help, or do something!"

568560

>>568547
Alright then. Head over to Manako.
>>568549
"Hey there. Pretty rough time that was, eh?"

568561

>>568547
"Yes, that. They are still at large and we must have the crew alert at all times since we dont know when or if they will ever strike."

I then grin.
"The question is if they are loyal still to their masters or will be dissuaded to join our side….. I think their talents can be useful. Nonetheless if they are fools then we just kill them.

568562

>>568557
Nope, just outside.

568563

>>568553
Oh?

"Now that is certainly another career option. Exploring the world and collecting rare cures and diseases certainly sounds like quite the life. I have little familiarity with positions on a.. privateer ship, though."

568566

>>568556
"Finally we cen afford it."

>>568558
He's now alone in the depths of the Darklantern and wipes himself off.

>>568559
He laughs at you. "I'd have thought someone who used cannons recently would know that an airship is much too high vertically to be hit with our cannons from the shoreline. Why isn't Tela with you?"

>>568561
"I think we know where they are."

>>568563
"Well, you would start on a smaller vessel, but you might find it to your liking. No long term commitment."

568567

>>568560
"Its not over yet."
>>568552
Hang onto your shoulder.

568569

>>568566
I look at Abilio surprised.
"Really? Where?"

568570

>>568562
Then I guess we are walking in.
"Lady Heart.
I trust we will be heading ashore again, now, for the assassins?"
>>568560
"Hircus.
We are planning on taking on the assassins."

568571

>>568569
"The local calligraphy school."

568572

>>568566
"Why are you laughing at this? Get some anti air cannons then! What if we get attacked by one of these the next time we go somewhere? What then, huh? Will you just sit around and let us handle it again?"

568575

>>568571
"H.. how did you know if I might ask." I grin also a bit amused.

"Also should I assemble the others?"

568576

>>568572
He raises a brow. "What has you so upset? You're usually much more nonchalant after a battle."

568577

>>568566
"Now that would be certainly something. How much space do I have for myself, though? I will be needing space for patients, for one."

568578

>>568566
"Exactly. Perhaps I shall expand my wardrobe as well… This dress is in quite the state right now, so very unfitting."

>>568570
"Yes, though we need a solid plan."

568579

>>568566
I'll go rest up and prepare some healing potions.

568582

>>568578
"Do we have any information on their location? On how much they know at the time?
Our main focus should be splitting them."

568583

>>568570
Crack my neck.
"I'm ready. Just tell me where you need me."

568584

>>568566
Carefully approach him, fuming for a moment before letting out a long and weak sigh.
"… So… uh… how are you?"

568585

>>568583
"Probably somewhere unseen."
Chuckle.

568586

>>568576
Stomp a hoof and snarl.
"Fucking drop it already and answer my questions! Or what, you can't? Yeah, that's right, what I thought. Who the fuck needs to plan ahead when we can just solve everything for you while you get your dick sucked in the safety of your cabin."

568587

>>568582
"Not quite yet. The others are still taking a deserved breather first."

568589

>>568587
"I will go check on this with the commodore, maybe think up a plan.
You are the expert on the crew, after all."
Smile and leave.
>>568576
To Abilio.

568591

>>568577
"Not much space to begin with. But we could make room for you in time, if you stick around."

>>568575
"I told you, we scouted the city coming in."

>>568578
"Aye. Maybe I cen coax ye inta some traditional jenny clothes. I think ye'd look quite dashin'."

He chuckles. "If a little skinny fer them. Tha pirates life has left ye lean and toned, and jennies are supposed ta be plump and sedentary. Not my type, I spose."

>>568579
Noted.

>>568584
He wipes off his mouth.

"Quite ambivalent."

>>568586
>>568577
"Would you mind excusing me for a moment, doctor? I need to tend to my second mate's mental state."

568592

>>568585
"I'm sure we could draw them out, but what do we do then?"

568593

>>568589
>>568575
Both of you added to that last one.

Abilio: "Would you mind excusing me a moment?"

568594

>>568591
"You need to tend to your fucking fleet."

568595

>>568592
"What matters is separating them."

568596

>>568593
>>568591
"Of course not Commodore."
To the Daimyo's rep then.

568597

>>568591
"Ah alright I'll inform the others of the location of the assasins then."

Lets go and meet LightHeart.

>>568593
"Yes commodore."

568598

>>568594
"Let's talk about this on the Darklantern."

He leads you off.

>>568596
"Yes?"

568599

>>568585
Chuckle. "Probably.
Kinda sucks though. There was a whole room filled with money in there… and I got knocked out by a cannonball before I could grab any of it."

568600

>>568589
"Very well."

>>568591
Raise an eyebrow and smile.
"Are you saying I am a rough mare, master Wark?"

568601

>>568600
He returns your grin. "Depends on if ye'll hit me if so."

568602

>>568598
Follow him with a glare.

568603

>>568597
>>568587
>>568600
Knock on her door and go inside.
"Looks like Abilio knows where the assassins are, they are located at the local caligraphy school."

568604

>>568591
"I'm sorry about all the stuff that happened today, you must be exhausted."
I frown

568605

>>568598
"You have been following this operation closely.
Is there any new intel on the assassin couple?"
>>568599
"That's not why we are here.
Now, please, excuse me as I speak with the representative of the Daimyo."

568606

>>568605
"Certainly."
>>568601
Any others here for me to talk to? Maybe I should thank Scarab.

568607

>>568601
"I would not dare lay a hoof on my beloved partner. What a brutish thing to do."

>>568603
"I see. Well, we will discuss this with the others when they are ready. They must take a moment to rest however."

568608

>>568591
"Yes, certainly. Allow me to pack my belongings and return here."

Go home and get my other stuff. Including wardrobe, research files, snakey wakey care kit and leftover medicines.

568611

>>568607
"That is true, I am just making sure you hear it first so both of us are in the same page."

I then look at you.
"Say, do you think those two are still loyal to their masters? Seeing their talent, it might be a good idea to reserve some seat for them to join the crew, what do you think?"

568612

>>568611
"I assume so, yes. I doubt they would have much reason to turncoat on their masters given how strong they are made out to be."

568614

>>568602
As you follow him into the cabin everything seems to get larger until you realize he has shrunk you again. "There we go. I know you were throwing a temper tantrum anyway so I thought I might at least save you embarrassment in front of the crew."

He picks you up and carries you back to the bed where Cloudy is. She gives a look of surprise. "Little Emmy is stressed out from the battle today. Will you look after her and make sure she relaxes while I finish securing the city?"

As you're handed to her she nods and hugs you close. "Of course I will! Don't worry about a thing. That sounds like it was dreadfully stressful."

Abilio turns to leave. "And incidentally, I am working on a solution to fliers presently, but I doubt we'll be seeing anymore airships."

You squirm in Cloudy's hooves, but she as a tight and loving grip.

>>568604
"More philosophically than physically I'm afraid."

Hircus approaches and he returns to the muck

>>568605
"Our intelligence was correct in assuming they wouldn't help protect the city. Their motives are not loyalty to this daimyo."

>>568606
He's down in the hold. He buries himself back in the muck as you approach.

>>568608
Got 'em. It's easy to tell which ships are the fleet's by the ones that aren't sunk.

568615

>>568607
He chuckles. "Good, then ye are. How'd ye think yer prim n proper parents would care ta know their little flower was taut instead of plump?"

568616

>>568614
"GET BACK HERE YOU ASSHOLE! I WASN'T DONE WITH YOU!
Let me go, you blind bitch!"
Squirm out of her grasp!
'1d10'

Roll #1 8 = 8

568617

>>568612
I then cross my arms.
"Well if they say no once to our offer then we smoke them immediately. I think they would be wise enough, that is if we ever caught them." I grin.

568618

>>568616
'1d10+2' (Much larger than you)

Roll #1 1 + 2 = 3

568620

>>568614
"Which is reason enough to assume their hunt will continue as the war is over.
Do we know their location now?

568621

>>568618
>>568616
You bonk her in the face and flutter after him!

He just chuckles. "Alright, you've made your point. Let it all out, then."

568623

>>568620
"Most recent intelligence suggests they haven't left the calligraphy school here in the city."

568624

>>568615
"They would be absolutely aghast, I am sure. Not… that it matters anymore to them."
I close my eyes and sigh, then open them again and smile.
"Let us not dwell on that subject please."

>>568617
"They ought to be separated from one another first. Fighting both of them at the same time would be most unwise."

568625

>>568623
"I see. What of the other troops?
Are there any? And the school itself, has it been bombarded?"

568628

>>568621
"First, shrink your mare down to filly and fuck her like that for all I care, but I don't need this bullshit right now. Size me back up!"

568631

>>568614
"Philosophically… because you have to keep returning them from the claws of death? Does Grogar get pissed off at you?"

568632

>>568614
Either way, rest up with my luggage somewhere and play with Queenie till they introduce me to my ship.

568634

>>568614
"…Sorry for dying again. Is there anything I can get for you to make up for it?"
Would I be able to visit Ciddir now?

568637

>>568624
:"Hmmmm…. now getting them separated is one thing." I stop to think.

"There are several ways I think, Tela can teleport one of them for starters if that will work, Hircus or Selena may have some strick up their sleeves and if that fail, both me and Tree may be able to hold them out and keep them separated if things do escalate to a fight."

568641

>>568624
"Ach, back to work then."

>>568625
"No, bombarding the school would have only provoked them."

>>568628
"Not until you start acting like an adult mare. Until then, your body can match your maturity."

>>568632
Noted.

>>568634
>>568631
"Mmmmmph mmmm."

Hircus: sure.

568645

>>568641
"Well, um… let Manako know if there's something in particular you want me to get you."

Off to visit Ciddir!

568646

>>568637
"Teleportation may work… but we will see. No sense in planning without knowing the full picture."

>>568641
Rosemary and HP here?

568647

>>568641
"I see. Do we have maps of the city or plants of the school?"

568648

>>568641
>>568645
I frown and wait for Hircus to leave.

568649

568650

>>568641
Growl at him.
"Grow. Me. Back."

568651

>>568646
Yes, they're chatting.

>>568647
"City, yes. School, no. You should've seen it on your briefing."

>>568645
She's in her room.

>>568648
"Perhaps some and a little of the other."

568652

>>568651
Just casually approach them to overhear what they're on about.

568653

>>568651
"I have. Is it anywhere near?"
Check for the map. If it isn't, excuse myself and see if the Commodore's avvailabe again.

568654

>>568651
"I guess that's why they used to ask money for rezzing…
Why don't you? Ask for something, I mean. How do you keep Grogar happy?"

568655

>>568651
"Hey, Ciddir. How have you been? Getting situated all right?"

568657

>>568646
I nod.
"Agreed, alright I'll leave you and your comrades here. We will meet later." I smile.

>>568651
Lets go meet Flora.

568659

>>568650
He ruffles your mane. "You're acting hysterical. I don't blame you. If you could see the state your body was in you might snap entirely. It's a miracle you're back in one piece. Your number one assignment, as your superior, is to calm down and work out your frustrations. And you need to do it here in private instead of showing the crew that you're acting ballistic. Understand me? This isn't just an order as a superior. It's as someone who cares about you."

>>568652
"You drew him a crayon picture?"

"It was fun!"

"Try to act more serious around the commodore…"

"Why?"

Rosemary sighs.

>>568653
You check the map. Hmm mmmm. Good.

>>568654
"I simply don't care. My soul is quite blackened already, no one will mourn it when it has vanished entirely."

>>568655
"Mostly by breathing. I have been situated since before I met you."

>>568657
She's digging through more empty barrels.

"Oh, hey there idiot."

568660

>>568659
How densely packed is the area around the calligraphy house?
Are there natural relieves we could use, large structures, tiny roads, anything that could help create a barrier or funnel our opponents away?

568661

>>568659
Chuckle at that and give her a nuzzle in greeting.
"I meant how has the rest of the crew been responding to your being a doe now.
Still, there's some stuff I wanted to talk to you about that we didn't get to finish with last time."

568662

>>568659
Take some heavy breaths.
"Being a filly still just pisses me off more."

568663

>>568659
I frown.
"You really shouldn't say that. I don't know what it is you did in the past, but you're doing good work here. Today. I've fallen in the same trap of dwelling on the past, it's just a bad thing to do."

568665

>>568659
I chuckle.
"Your drawing skills are legendary, miss Puzzle."

568666

>>568659
"What are you doing down there eh?" I grin as I approach her and look.

"We just captured a city, after we've taken care of one more business perhaps we can get some food-stuff here in this place so the crew can have a good meal eh?"

568670

>>568660
It's up against a cliff face. It has walls of its own. The street it's on is very wide and open.

>>568662
He levitates you over to the bed, but this time not into Cloudy's arms.

"Take a nap then. Let the time pass faster. At least this way I know you're less likely to run out and do something stupid. I'll be back in one hour to check on you."

>>568661
"It would be more reliable to ask them directly. What did you want to talk about?"

>>568663
"Perhaps… but really I've abetted more destruction here, too haven't I? It's the comfort of knowing that I cannot become more damned that allows me to so casually help agents of death – no offense intended."

>>568665
"Thanks!"

Rosemary looks dreadfully relieved to see you alright and showers you in little kisses.

>>568666
"Idiot, I'm not just going to steal from commoners, what do you take me for, a pirate?"

568671

>>568670
"Tell me, representative, which pony race are the two assassins?"

568673

>>568670
I chuckle again and wrap my wings around her.
"Did you miss me that much?"

568675

>>568670
"Well… I'd like to tell me a bit about your culture, if you don't mind. You've done so much to adapt to mine… it's only fair if I do something to adapt to yours."

568676

>>568670
"Oh… ah, no, not at all Flora. My mistake Empress." I scratch my head as I look at the barrels
"So what are you doing?"

568677

>>568670
"Yeah, sure."
Sit down, and look at Cloudy.
"Do you have any booze?"

568678

>>568670
"War is war. We've got to make a living somehow, right? I like fighting and all, but I'm not some psychopath who enjoys to kill and see death all around me either. You're right though, this siege has been brutal."

568679

>>568671
"Serene Waterfall is an earth pony by birth. Reaching Spear is an earth pony by mutilation."

>>568673
"Yes! Didn't you miss me?"

>>568675
"In my culture we don't use anything made out of metal or explosives."

>>568676
"Just scavenging to see what you have in supplies. Maybe you can buy some better suff once your payday comes!"

>>568677
She laughs, quite amused. "You're a little young to be drinking alcohol. I think a sip might knock you out."

>>568678
"Do you mind if I ask you an unrelated question?"

568680

>>568679
"Of course I did… I thought about you the entire time."

568681

>>568679
"…Oh." Guess that means I'd have to refrain from using explosives around him…
"So, is making stuff from blood something you learned from your culture?"
Take out my blood knife and examine it.
"Because that seems like a really useful skill."

568682

>>568679
"At least you don't have to waste too much then. And fuck off with the 'too young' thing. Do you have any or not?!"

568683

>>568679
I look at him curiously.
"No, go ahead and ask away."

568686

>>568679
"The fool.
I might have a plan, but it relies on strong warriors to pull off."

568687

>>568680
"That's a comfort~"

She nuzzles you.

>>568681
"Yes, though it takes a long time because it requires natural congealing of the blood. But unlike normally congealed blood, that blood is not dead, it is alive. Your blacksmiths worth with dead things like metal. I work with living things."

568689

>>568687
"Was the darkness waiting for you once again?"

568690

>>568679
"Oh dont you worry, We will do just that once we finished this, certainly a better place for you to be able to prepare food is in order. Though it makes me think where amongst the ships you like to put the kitchen."

568692

>>568682
"I do, in fact. But if I get you a bottle, it's going to be milk. Besides, who drinks to black out? That's very unhealthy of you."

She edges a little closer on the bed.

>>568683
"What do you suppose we inherit from our forefathers? Traits, perhaps. Debts? Obligations? Duties?"

>>568686
"Speak your mind."

568694

>>568687
"I see… So that's why you found the golden apple so interesting. Can you make other stuff like this dagger?"

568695

>>568692
"You know what's unhealthy? Dying. Now get me the drink, and if it's milk I'm going to throw the bottle at you."

568697

>>568692
"Our forefathers? You mean like… ponies from generations ago?"

568699

>>568692
"Forcefully breaking them apart. A fall down a cliff won't kill one of them, but it will surely be impossible to make their way back, and probably highly wound the target as well.
Then a team by the cliff can take care of that, while a second, stronger team makes sure the other assassin isn't allowed to leave the calligraphy house, or, even better, is confined to the road.
Which, incidentally, looks like a prime spot for sniping."

568702

>>568689
"Always."

She shivers.

>>568690
"Good!"

>>568694
"Given time."

>>568695
"You're awfully cute you know. I don't have to be able to see to know it."

>>568697
"Or more recent ones."

>>568699
"How do you intend to get them onto the cliff when they are at the base of it?"

568704

>>568702
I had understood the very opposite!
"Teleportation."

568706

>>568702
"Hmmm… we must fix that somehow… The same goes to Wark."
Pet her mane.
"You are so loyal… surely the element of loyalty is something you can relate to."

568707

>>568702
"Yeah, why don't you fuck me then?"

568708

>>568702
"My parents? I'm not like them. I haven't spoken to any of my family in over a decade. I don't know what their debts or duties are."

568709

>>568702
"Would you be willing to make stuff for me? Things like this dagger come in very handy on raids.
Also, how do personal interactions work in your society? What constitutes a friend, or a partner, or a mate?"

568713

>>568702
I pat her head.
"Now stay put there, just one more job needed to be done before we wrap this thing up."

568714

>>568707
She kisses you on the forehead and remarks "Because I don't think of you that way."

Then she adds, "Besides, I can't get you any milk because I'm not pregnant yet. But we'll keep trying."

>>568706
"The Elements don't promise anyone an afterlife, though."

>>568704
"Perhaps. Good luck, then."

>>568708
"What if you did?"

>>568709
"Are these not words which defy description?"

>>568713
She turns red. "Hey, don't patronize me with head pats, okay?!"

568716

>>568714
"Heh. That's true. What about mates? What exactly is expected of one's mate?"
Is that a yes, he'll make stuff for me?

568717

>>568714
"I'm sure it won't end up as some sort of Tartarus-spwan or whatever from all the magical fucking around."

568718

>>568714
"They do not, you are absolutely right about that. However, I have witnessed it with my own eyes. I must wonder if that was related to…"
Glance at HP.

568719

>>568714
Nod, and leave for the Commodore.

568720

>>568714
"If I did? I dunno… depends I guess. I regret not sticking with them sometimes, but I shouldn't dwell on the past. I'm free to disagree with their sense of duty, aren't I?"

568721

>>568714
I nod as I scratch my head in embarassment.
"Yes Flora, that wont happen again.'
"Now I just need to check out on the others and see how they are faring. I'll take my leave." Lets go and meet Ms. September.

568722

>>568716
"Different things, but I think our relationship is something different… maybe still mates, but not in the way my culture has them. But does are supposed to be submissive… but this is not a bad thing for them. Bucks are supposed to be totally self-sacrificing and caring for them, always putting their needs first."

>>568717
She boops you on the nose. "Then we'll just adopt you instead."

>>568718
She gives you an absent smile.

"Witnessed what?"

>>568719
He's back commanding again.

>>568720
"Certainly. I've totally shrugged mine. But what about debts?"

>>568721
She's up on the deck.

"Mister Chip. Glad to see you're alive. I half expected a total wipe."

568724

>>568722
"As if I need an asshole and a cripple for parents."

568725

>>568722
I thought Rosemary heard HP and I talking about it last time I died?
"Something that requires further investigation."

568726

>>568722
"Debts? Depends on what kind of debt. If I knew they were in trouble… I'd probably try to seek them out to help them anyway. I guess I'm soft like that?"

568727

>>568724
"It sounds like you need all the parenting you can get!"

She teases you and pulls you into her lap. "Should I wash your mouth out with soap?"

>>568725
She did

"You think it's related?"

>>568726
"But if they died, and the collectors came to your door?"

568728

>>568722
I grin.
"Same here, but looks like our luck is holding out it seems and we are here to stay in Neighpon with this privateering business to keep us busy."

I then look at the docks can I see the calgraphy school here?
"You heard that we might need to wipe out any oppositions, some of them are still holed up around here."

568729

>>568722
"Commodore, I surveyed the tactical situation for the encounter against the assassins.
I do believe your portals would be of incredible use.
See, the calligraphy house is right by the cliffside. A cliff earth ponies like the assassins have no way of leaving without a long journey. We know that separated, they are considerably easier to fight.
What if we used one of your portals as bait, and had one of them fall into it only to end up on the top of the cliff?
Would they work that way?"

568730

>>568727
Groan.
"Should I shoot you in the cunt?
I'm still waiting on that booze, too."

568732

>>568727
"It is the best explanation I have for it. But I iterate… I do not know what it all means yet. A wall full of names…"

568735

>>568727
"I'm not going to pay their taxes after they're dead."
I smirk and shake my head.
"I don't know, what kind of debt? Monetary? Something more than just physical goods?"

568736

>>568722
"Yeah, we're pretty different…
How is being submissive not a bad thing for them? Like, I understand being submissive in a relationship… actually enjoy it a little myself…
But you weren't being submissive, you were acting like you had no will of your own."

568737

>>568728
Just the walls of it.

"Well, hop to it!"

>>568729
"One does not travel in one end and out the other. They are portals to the burning realm of Tartarus. Tartarus just happens to be smaller than Mundus."

>>568730
She rocks you a little back and forth.

"I suppose you are technically an adult. Will you relax if I let you have a little?"

>>568732
"I see…"

>>568735
"Maybe. Favors? Sins?"

>>568736
"Deer perform best when we operate according to a chain of command. We are a servile race, Mother Nature's favorite children. She made us before any other race as the caretakers of the world to come. It is every bit as important that the masters care for the servants as the servants obey the masters."

568738

>>568737
"I've seen how they work. And the distance between the two parts of Mundus we would be linkins is rather short.
Or, alternatively, we could simply trap one of the assassins in your portals and fight him there."

568739

>>568737
"Favors sound like debts… as for sins, they're adults responsible for their own sins. They're not responsible for mine either."

568740

>>568737
"Yeah, sure."

568741

>>568737
"I see… but the idea of being the servant in our relationship makes you uncomfortable."

568742

>>568737
I pat her on the head and smile.
"We will figure this out, do not worry. Now, let us see what the commodore has to say."
To Abilio!

568743

>>568737
I laugh.
"Looks like you are not too worried about this are you?"

568744

>>568738
"A possibility, if you can fool them into it."

>>568739
"How do you suppose you'd react if you learned tomorrow that your estranged parents are the worst monsters to ever live? It's hard to think of a comparison because recent years have been comparatively peaceful but… ones who sought to wipe out all life. And nearly succeeded. Would it affect your self image to know you are the biological legacy of that?"

>>568740
She heads into the back room and finally returns and tilts you back and sticks something in your mouth.

She's feeding you hard liquor with a fucking baby bottle!

…On the other hand this is some pretty good tasting vodka. Hm. You didn't take Abilio for a vodka stallion. Kind of a diamond dog drink, innit? But it has a pleasant kick to it and you immediately begin to feel the effects.

>>568741
"Yes. As a buck I am supposed to lead."

>>568742
Abilio is talking to Flowing.

>>568743
"Idiot… it's not as though I care whether or not you come back alive! Why would I care?! You haven't even asked me to be your girlfriend so why should I care at all?! Why care about that much of an idiot?!"

568745

>>568744
"I was thinking more along the lines of… Slam one of them into it."

568746

>>568744
Eh, fuck it, I'm too tired to get mad.
Just focus on drinking.

568747

>>568745
"You could try, but it's not highly sustainable. Act quickly."

568748

>>568744
"And yet I too am a buck. Am I supposed to be the doe and not take the lead, even though I was the one who sought this relationship out? I am not criticizing you, merely curious."

568749

>>568744
Approach him.
"A good day to you again, commodore. I see you are discussing the course of action regarding the assassins. I am ready for duty once more."

568750

>>568744
Wait I am talking to September.
I look at Ms.September completely confused.
"Uhmmm…. I… have no idea what to say."

568751

>>568747
Nod.
"This sounds like a good first plan of action. I will go assert our possibilities, maybe tricking them is doable."
>>568749
"Lady Heart.
I was just about to come find you. I've surveyed the map, and think we might have a perfect chance of cutting the assassins off from each other."

568752

>>568744
>>568751
"It seems like a solid plan."

568753

>>568744
I frown.
"It'd sting for sure… but it would also finally give answer to the question of whether or not I should have stuck with them or not. In that case, the answer would be no. Would I feel responsible for their actions though? Fuck no."

568754

>>568746
Unfortunately or fortunately, you fall prey to Cloudy's prediction and black out rather quickly, WAY too little body weight for vodka of this strength. It's a nice, restful sleep.

When you finally come to, you're peacefully snugged up in bed with Cloudy. You'd wake her, but your head is pounding from the hangover, and you'd rather just be quiet and sleep it off further… but you can still get up now if you wish to.

>>568750
You're right, my bad. I forgot you changed people because I am replying to so many people at once.

That was Flora. Ugh.

NOW Here's September.

"I try to avoid being worried."

568755

>>568748
"In my culture we do not have relationships with two bucks."

>>568749
"Good to hear it."

>>568751
"Very well."

568758

>>568751
>>568755
"A plan already? How industrious you all are."
I chuckle.

568759

>>568753
"There is a belief that… ways of acting are carried on from parent to child. Psychological traits. Would it bother to think your children might be monsters because of your genes?"

568760

>>568755
"So, we're sort of exploring unfamiliar territory for you, am I right?"

568761

>>568760
"For you as well."

568763

>>568759
"No, because I'm nothing like my parents. That fact alone is enough to debunk that belief."

568764

>>568758
"Basically, there's a cliff right beside the calligraphy house the assassins are currently resting at.
My first plan involved teleportation to cut one off at the top of the cliff, but after thinking about the Commodore's abilities, I think it'd be best to simply trick or force one of them to vault into one of his portals, and fight him there with a team ready."

568765

>>568763
"Blue eyes skip generations occasionally."

568769

>>568754
"Well that is something good, at least you are calm and able to think clearly in all of this. Both of us still have that agreement that we will drink after this alright?"

568770

>>568765
"I don't think genes alone are enough to turn you into a monster, that's a pitiful excuse. It's all about the way your life shapes up to be. Experience builds character, it's that simple."

568771

>>568761
"Yes. That's very much true."
Chuckle and shake my head.
"I will say this, though: I like being you're mate- or whatever you call what we are. Being around you makes me happy."

568772

>>568764
"Hmmmm a fight in Tartarus? Not the first time I had to resort to that tactic, though last time it ended quite poorly."

568773

>>568769
"Sure. Seems like I am getting a lot of callers for that lately."

>>568770
"Maybe. Although… is there anyone in this world you hate?"

>>568771
"I enjoy your company also. It is the only reason I agree to your increasingly strange requests."

568774

>>568773
"Really? Who are the others, potential mates I presume?" I grin.

568775

>>568772
"You seem still alive. What happened, the environment turned against you?"

568776

>>568774
"No… just drinking companions. It's the oddest thing."

568777

>>568773
"I dislike a lot of people, sure… especially religious nuts. Hate's kind of a strong word though. Sure I got a short temper that makes me say a lot of hateful stuff, I know that, but to actually hating someone? I dunno, I don't think I do."

568778

>>568776
"Oddest in what way? Gathering to drink after a victory is a common way to relax is it not?"

568779

>>568773
"Yeah, I have been making some strange requests of you…
Speaking of which, how's the new body? Still feel strange?"

568780

>>568775
"I would prefer not to go into detail, but it was quite unpleasant. Still, it may be worth a try."

568781

>>568777
"It's amusing you dislike priests, you seem quite like a priest I once knew. So readily forgiving and unwilling to hate. But suppose you did hate someone… would you hate their children? Kill them if you had the chance? Assuming they're grown of course."

>>568778
"Maybe. I used to drink with Umlock… Every night was a party."

>>568779
"It always will, I think."

568782

>>568780
Nod.
"And if you are really worried about it, we could push forwards until reaching the top of the cliff."

568784

>>568781
"Who was this priest?"
I shake my head.
"No. Unless they did something themselves to piss me off. Not when they're young, nor when they're grown up."

568786

>>568782
"And then what?"

568788

>>568781
"….. Oh." I lower my gaze.
"I didnt take it that you two are close."

568790

>>568786
"Fight them separated of course. One down in the streets, open and perfect for sniping, and the other either in Tartarus or on top of the cliff."

568791

>>568754
Guh…
Does my body still hurt too?
Get up and find some water.

568792

>>568781
"Yeah.
So, what would you need in order to make more stuff like the dagger?"

568793

>>568790
"I would rather not our forces split up if that is what you are implying."

568794

>>568793
"It indeed is.
But if you'd rather not to split…
Then, your role will be the most important.
You will have to persuade one of the assassins to step inside the portal, where we will seal him away until we are done with the first."

568795

>>568788
"We had a complicated relationship. Not romantic or sexual."

>>568784
"You don't know him."

Scarab sighs. "The truth is, I killed my father for being a monster. And he got it from his father. We have quite the family line of monsters. All the way back to the father of the bastard that would be my forefather. And so I stay here in the dark, punishing myself. I refuse to become a monster."

>>568791
If it does, it's being drowned out by your headache. You can't seem to struggle loose of the snuggle though…

>>568792
"Living material."

568796

>>568794
"That seems like a rather tall order, but perhaps I could try that."

568797

>>568795
"Like that apple? Or do you think maybe that should be left alone? I'm not really knowledgeable on what's acceptable to use to make that call."

568798

>>568795
I frown.
"What did they do? What is it that made them such monsters? You don't have to be afraid of telling me, I've seen a lot of messed up crap."

568799

>>568795
Aaah, just shoot me!
Poke Cloudy.
"Hey. Heeey. Are you still sleeping?"

568800

>>568796
"If all else fail, we will just forcefully teleport one of them inside, if Lady Tela is up to the task."

568802

>>568795
I just sit there.
"You know what, I havent talked to that guy that much, come to think of it I rarely associate with him, hence my lack of knowledge of how he is as a person. How is he by the way?" I look at September a bit worried.

568804

>>568800
"If worst comes to worst, we could always improvise once we see the area with our own eyes."

568805

>>568804
"We have a map, there's no need to risk so much."

568806

>>568797
"I think it is best to leave the apple until I understand it."

>>568798
"The farthest back I know was one of the first crystal ponies. He wanted to rule the world, so he built an enormous catalyst-palace in hopes of creating a sort of doomsday device. He had a bastard son with a devilish mare, and that bastard would father my line. Every stallion and mare in the line has been conniving, genius, and naturally talented with magic. It is best that the line end with me. Even I am not free of sin, I am a kinslayer, after all. I dealt with each of them in turn."

>>568799
She stirs.

"Awake again? You got seriously drunk. You were babbling like a newborn when Abilio showed up."

>>568802
"He was a reckless fool… ambitious… reminds me of Emrille constantly."

568808

>>568806
"Yeah, I figured. Just wanted to make sure.
How about blood? If I gave you more of my blood, would you be able to make something out of it?"

568810

>>568808
"You have lost enough blood for one day."

568811

>>568805
"A map often lacks many details."

>>568806
"Commodore? Do you have any input on this matter? How would you deal with these assassins?"

568812

>>568806
"I did what? I can't remember shit…I need some water, and something for my head."

568813

>>568810
"Yeah, good point."
Crack my neck and roll my shoulders.
"Do I worry you when I go out on these raids?"

568816

>>568806
I laugh.
"HA! I didnt know we had another one who has the same attitude as Emrille aboard back then. Makes me wonder why they didnt see one another. Perhaps they will burn the fleet with their ego's if they did meet one another."

568819

>>568811
"Hard to say… Perhaps I would send in my minions from afar. I try to avoid direct conflict."

>>568812
"Stay in bed. I'll nurse you back to health."

She gets up and returns with a wet rag for your forehead and a bottle full of water.

"Do you think you could manage some soup?"

>>568813
"Death is only natural. It would be personally sad for me, but I would be cheerful for you for getting to move on and let your corpse nourish the earth if you did fall."

>>568816
"They did, though. They butted heads quite a bit."

568820

>>568819
Drink from the bottle.
"Only one way to know. So, what happened? Did I just pass out?"

568821

>>568819
"Do you think using the portals could work? Lock one of them up while we fight the other? Perhaps miss Tela could Teleport one of them into the portal from the start."

568822

>>568820
It's cool and refreshing. Cloudy sends for some soup to be made and brought up.

"Oh, you babbled for a little while about Anneiv and the battle, and some sort of argument with Tela. And you said 'mommy', though I don't think you were talking to me…"

>>568821
"I'm not certain about mixing teleportation with portals, but the rest could be worth a try."

568823

>>568819
"Well that shows that I am missing a lot of the action going around here." I grin at September.
"I… take it you do miss the others…. right? I mean those who both are gone and choose to turn their backs on the fleet."

568824

>>568819
"Heheheh… glad to know you care at least."
Scoot a little closer.
"Hey. Do you mind if we just… cuddle for a while?"

568825

>>568822
Drink some more, then snort after swallowing.
"As if. I probably said cunny and you just heard it wrong."

568826

>>568822
"Well, you are the magic expert so I will trust your judgment on that. I suppose we should not delay this mission too long."

568827

>>568823
"Yes, quite a bit. The mutiny hurt me in more ways than just physically."

>>568824
"…alright."

She climbs onto her bed.

>>568825
"No… it almost sounded like you were talking about Anneiv… do you have family there?"

>>568826
"Indeed. I'd like to collect our earnings."

568828

>>568827
Shrug and look away from her.
"I don't have family. Anywhere."

568829

>>568827
Cuddle-bugs? '1d10'

Roll #1 9 = 9

568830

>>568827
"We will get this done quickly enough and collect tenfolds, commodore."
Bow.

568831

#Pause

568833

>>568827
"As do I. I hope to buy a new lovely dress and perhaps a hat to fit with it."
I look him over.
"I do think your colors would compliment a blue coat quite well."

568834

>>568827
I wrap one of my arms around her neck and just try to make feel that she is not alone about it.
"……. I miss them too, specially Smitts and Ms. Topaz. I just hope that their after-life is as good as what they want it to be."

568836

>>568806
I listen intently to his story.
"Well… I can't say I have any experience with that, but putting them down yourself must have taken a big toll on you. I don't think you should blame yourself for what they were like if they were monsters, or that you should feel bad for killing them if they were a blight on the world. That must've been really rough on you."

568916

>>568834
She shrugs. "I'm not concerned about them. They have a whole fleet of people feeling bad for them. I feel bad for the mutineers. I pity them, rather than hate them."

>>568836
"Yes… But it had to be done."

>>568833
"Not very imposing."

>>568830
"Yes."

>>568829
Good cuddles

>>568828
"What about the fleet?"

She strokes your mane as you drink.

568918

>>568916
"Pity…. the traitors? Why?" I look at her a bit concerned.

568919

>>568916
"Pity…. the traitors? Why?" I look at her a bit concerned.

568921

>>568916
"I have good friends and shit. And a marefriend."
Frown.
"Or had, I guess, from the way Tela spoke to me."

568924

>>568916
Enjoy just holding her close like this for a while.
Breathe in the scent of her fur; what does she smell like?

568925

>>568916
"I do not mean to say you should wear a dress, only that blue would fit you quite well I think. Perhaps a dark blue coat with golden outlines? Hmmm… that would complement your magic aura as well…"
What is he wearing right now?

568926

>>568918
>>568919
They were our friends and allies before. Just misguided. You don't?"

>>568921
She gently preens your little wings.

"Oh, it'll be alright sweetie. You'll patch things up."

>>568924
Mint

568927
