You're in the curvacious entrance hall of the cliffside castle.

549088

>>549087
Enter the shadows and Sneak my way along.

549089

>>549087
Yes indeed. Shall we advance? I have my lantern to light the way.

549090

Stay aware.

549091

>>549087
I made 3 potions of heal for the trip.
Sneaking around with my doppleganger next to LH.

549092

>>549087
Keep an eye of my surrounding and take note of the surrounding area for bad news.
'1d10'

Roll #1 4 = 4

549093

>>549087
Swords ready for action
Stay frosty

Roll #1 2 = 2

549094

>>549088
The hallway is quite dark except for the area surrounding the party. Everywhere they go is up. Will you follow ahead or behind the main group?

>>549089
>>549090
>>549092
The rain has picked up, and it's storming loudly outside.

http://www.rainymood.com/

Relentless sheets of rain pound against the flagstones outside. A slim trickle of rainwater, in from the windows, snakes its way past you toward the main door. With each second, another rumble of thunder echos through these halls.

You're coming into a larger room now, where your lights do not cover the entire room. Two suits of armor flank the entrance to this great hall, and you can faintly make out the outline of a mezzanine above.

You're all tracking mud inside. Notably the castle is relatively clean of dust.

549095

>>549094
Ahead of the group; I am the scout, after all.
Check to find a way up to the mezzanine. '1d10'

Roll #1 2 = 2

549096

>>549094
"…Let's clean our hooves. They might track us by the hoofprints."

549097

>>549094
Check out the armor '1d10'

Roll #1 6 = 6

549098

>>549094
Go and inspect the armor, what is it made of?

549099

>>549094
A mezzanine? Flutter up and check it out.

Roll #1 6 = 6

549100

>>549094
Fly up to check out that mezzanine

549101

>>549094
Seems like a good place to set up a trap…
Clean off my hooves on a carpet or something.

549102

>>549095
It's too dark without a light to do anything but feel your way through the main hall. There must be a stairway somewhere, but glancing over to the main group keeps your eyes unadjusted to the dark.

>>549097
Simple iron, and the way it's designed doesn't seem too useful for battle. Clearly more decorative than useful.

>>549098
You identify the metal as dark iron, a form of crude iron typically purified with jet to create steel.

>>549099
You head up to the second floor, leaving the party behind. The room is still too dark to see everything, and you narrowly avoid banging your head on a doused chandelier. A faint light down the hall indicates that this floor must loop around to reach the second set of windows/arrow slits that you could see from the ground.

>>549100
You bang your head on the chandelier while following Light Heart.

>>549101
Interestingly, there is no rug – normally this is where one would be. This place is pretty stripped.

549103

>>549102
It's nice.
I fly over to LH.

549104

>>549102
Rub my head.
"Motherfucking piece of shit junk…"
Keep following her.

549105

>>549102
Hmmm…
Is there a stairway I can find for the party to use to get up here?

Roll #1 9 = 9

549106

>>549103
You also bang your head on the chandelier.

>>549104
>>549105
Further back, set into the cliff there is a rough-hewn staircase down. You can tell it's set into the cliff because the walls are not brick here: they're natural stone.

549107

>>549102
Scrape the mud off my hooves and focus on finding a door or other way out of this room. '1d10'

Roll #1 7 = 7

549108

>>549102
Fucking looters getting all the stuff!
Any other ways out of this room?

Roll #1 5 = 5

549109

>>549107
Heading down to the end of the great hall, there is a large set of double doors. You also see a sign. You see arrows so it must be a directions sign. Can you read it in the dark? Roll.

549110

>>549106
Aw, I didn't know I had to roll for that.
Rub my head and flutter by LH.

549111

>>549109
Night vision activate! '1d10'

Roll #1 10 = 10

549112

>>549108
It's very dark and tough to see far from your torch. About half of your party has abandoned you to fly upstairs, and Hircus has moved further into the shadows.

549113

>>549106
Very premium.

Return to the party.
"There is a stairway leading up to the mezzanine. I believe we should use it and continue that way."

Roll #1 1 = 1

549114

>>549112
"… Guys? Where are you going?"

549115

>>549111
Ahead: Dining Hall
Up: Cannon Placements
Left: Barracks
Right: Storage

>>549113
As a F2P Pirate PC, you briefly spend this six seconds of critfail envying those who paid for the premium package.

549116

>>549114
Fly back down.
"Checking out what's up there. There's a staircase leading up."

549117

>>549115
Right. Attempt to return to the party so I can inform them.

549118

>>549117
Attempt? They're like twenty feet away.

549119

>>549116
"Found a sign. Dining Hall is behind those doors, Up leads to the cannon emplacements, left leads to the barracks, and right leads to storage."

549120

>>549113
>>549116
"Oh… alright, let's move it then."

549121

549122

>>549119
>>549120
"Where to? Checking the barracks to see if anypony was stupid enough to stay?"

549123

>>549121
"Nice work, Hircus."

549124

>>549115
>>549120
>>549115
>>549119
"Hmmm… I believe the barracks should be our first target."

549125

>>549123
Smile and bow. "I aim to please."
>>549122
>>549124
"You're both looking for a fight, aren't you? Well, let's get to it."

549126

>>549119
"Huh… okay."

>>549124
I nod.
"Right, let's hoof it."

549127

>>549125
Smirk.
"Gotta' secure the city."

549128

>>549125
>>549124
>>549123
>>549122
There is another loud rumble of thunder as the rain continues to pour outside.

549129

>>549125
>>549126
I nod.
To the left then.

549130

>>549128
>>549129
To the left.

549131

>>549128
Stealth to the left.

549132

>>549129
>>549130
You pass another window and get a bit of rainwater on your mane. The trickle of water is stronger here, as it snakes down through the main hall in search of an escape, the whole castle lacking any type of storm drain. Up ahead there is a heavy-looking door with a slight stone threshold. There is a handle on it, but no lock.

>>549131
You arrive at the door ahead of everyone else, but as they approach your position your stealth is broken by the light. It's a narrow hallway cast in darkness and you're standing next to a lantern and a torch. Move thirty feet back into the darkness of the hallway?

549133

>>549124
I nod at this.,
Lets go then."

549134

>>549132
Nah, I'll stay here in case there's a lock that needs picking.

549135

>>549132
"Well, somepony open that or I'll open it up for us."

549136

>>549132
Approach the door, ready my swords
Open up

549137

>>549132
"On guard, everypony."

>>549136
Brace myself.

549138

>>549132
>>549136
Help Tela open it.

549139

>>549136
>>549135
>>549134
This is a fairly narrow room, but it goes on for a long way. The furniture is still here, making it the least-evacuated room. The floor here is completely wet, soaking your hooves, and there's an awful stench. Little rainbow patterns play about in the liquid beneath you as you hoist your lantern and torch by. A series of rough wooden bunk beds and nightstands, but that's about it. Not exactly comfortable living conditions. No immediate signs of danger, but the room seems to stretch on deep into the dark – there is no natural light here, no windows to the outside. At the end of the room, you can see something shiny reflecting the light of your lamps.

549140

>>549139
Disappear into the room's shadows.

549141

>>549139
"… Don't like this place…"

549142

>>549140
The only place in such a narrow room to be stealthy is to travel by the top of the bunks.

549143

>>549139
Rainbow patterns?
Inspect it more closely. Rainbow patterns usually mean…

Roll #1 4 = 4

549144

>>549142
Of course! Goats always take the high road!

549145

I'm still alive!

549146

>>549139
Flutter up, quickly.
"Fuck, nopony light any torches or shit, I have a bad feeling about this!"

549147

>>549143
Even you can put two and two together.

A threshold that prevents water from coming in, and a room with no windows? A terrible stench and rainbow patterns?

You've just moved your lantern next to highly flammable oil. Everyone save reflex.

549148

Oh gee.

549152

>>549147
I'm out of here.
Flight!

Roll #1 10 = 10

549153

>>549147
Pour mes minions. Rosemary/Wark/HP

Roll #1 2, 3, 1 = 6

549154

>>549147
REFLEX '1d10'

Roll #1 2 = 2

549155

>>549152
Zoom! You take off out of the door!

>>549153
>>549151
>>549149
>>549148
>>549150
>>549154
In perhaps the most successful implementation of an oil trap of all time, none of you get out the door before the inferno spreads.

Hircus and HP, trying to stick to the shadows up above, get it worst – there's nowhere to escape to from their post. Flowing gets it just as bad at the head of the party with so many bodies blocking his way.

Everyone but Emrille is on fire. HP, Hircus, and Flowing are too injured from the ignition to move.

549156

>>549155
Well, then I will just sit here in flames screaming.
You entirely sure I can't roll around and try to put myself out?

549157

>>549155
SHIT
what do I do?

549158

>>549156
Stop drop and roll is a good strategy in places that aren't covered in burning oil.

>>549157
Hope someone saves you before you fry entirely.

549159

>>549155
Run out of the fire '1d10'

Roll #1 6 = 6

549160

>>549155
Well shit!
The rain, I have to get the rain inside, somehow… Can I blast a hole in the wall? Water Marksman Shot, try to blast open a weak portion of the wall?

Roll #1 7 = 7

549161

>>549158
Indeed.
Well, let's hope I don't die here to coin tosses.

549162

>>549155
RUN!
I need to find someplace dry to roll! Same for my minions who can move!

Roll #1 1, 7, 5 = 13

549163

>>549155
AAAAA
Get out of heeeeere!

Roll #1 9 = 9

549164

>>549158
"HELP!!!"

549165

>>549159
You run out of the room and to the window. Not a lot of rain is coming in from the outside, but it's better than nothing.

>>549162
>>549163
Wark and Tela retreat to the great hall where a puddle of water is collecting and roll there, putting themselves out. Rosemary tries her luck with the window like Selena but it's not doing much for her.

>>549164
>>549161
The two of you continue to cook to death with no one helping you.

>>549160
In a highly improbably turn of events, you're able to create a bullet hole in the wall instead of setting off a ricochet almost certain to kill an ally. The tiny hole isn't really doing much for rainwater though.

>>549162
You exacerbate the situation by having an on-fire heart attack.

549166

>>549165
"SELENA! HELP! DON'T LEAVE ME TO DIE!"

549167

>>549165
Fuck!
Do what I did in the bank!
Frost Shot, above the fire!
Cool things down!

Roll #1 8 + 2 = 10

549168

>>549165
Am I still on fire?
Fly into the rain to douse it '1d10'

Roll #1 8 = 8

549169

>>549165
I sure do love to fry away to death.
That fucking Light Heart and her pidgeon sized brain.
And the other one using ice in a burning sea of oil is just as smart.
Must be a thing with pegasi.

549170

>>549165
Oh boy, I always wanted one of those. Let's still try to not die '1d10'
Rosemary pls '1d10'
Wark… try to help someone without getting set on fire? '1d10'

Roll #1 4 = 4 / Roll #2 8 = 8 / Roll #3 4 = 4

549171

>>549168
If not, use it to help Hircus!

549172

>>549165
Can I teleport someone out of the flames? Whoever needs it most.

Roll #1 9 = 9

549173

>>549168
There are bars on this window!

You fly through the main hall out into the entrance hall, then the streets, and roll in the water.

>>549167
The room is much cooler now, but it begins to quickly heat back up as the fire continues.

Ice Shot was a good strategy back in the bank where you were endangered by the TEMPERATURE, but here the temperature isn't so much killing you as the actual fire.

>>549166
>>549169
You need immediate medical attention.

Wark drags out Flowing, but he's still on fire.

Tela teleports Hircus into the rain outside. At least he's out now.

Rosemary helps you with your pill, but both of you are still on fire. You both need medical attention.

549174

>>549173
Okay, fly back in, conjure water, lots and lots of water from my hat, throw it on everypony
Hat pls

549177

Well fuck, I'm out of ideas then.

549178

>>549173
Dive into the rain and roll! '2d10'
Where's HP? Wark needs to drag her out too and help put out the flames '1d10'

Roll #1 4, 1 = 5 / Roll #2 10 = 10

549179

Fuck me.
Help put these ponies out.

Roll #1 8 = 8

549182

>>549174
Sploosh! You put out Flowing with water from your hat.

>>549175
Selena put you out, but now you're standing again.

>>549178
Wark goes back in and pulls her out like some kind of fire-fighter hero. What a good donkey.

Even your pitiful attempt at putting yourself out is passable out here in the drenching rain.

>>549179
You don't think fucking anyone will put them out. Their crotches aren't on fire, it's mostly the mane.

It looks like everyone is out now, just badly injured.

549185

>>549182
Go to Hircus and give him a healing potion
"I'm sorry, drink!"
'1d10'

Roll #1 4 = 4

549186

>>549182
Well, what now?
>>549185
Oh.
"T-thanks… geez, this hurts…"

549187

>>549182
"…"
Breath slowly, heavily.
"Let's… Take a moment."
Turn to wark.
"Thanks for the saving, Master Wark."
>>549174
"Lady Selena, it appears you saved my life, tonight."

549188

>>549182
'2d10'
HP and Rosemary need to heal themselves first of all.

"Goodness me…"

549189

"Well that was a disaster."

549191

>>549182
Alright.

"I knew something was up! Dammit!"

549193

>>549188
>>549189
"Slightly avoidable disaster."

549195

>>549191
>>549193
"Well you got set on fire, not me. Let's try and not get caught this easily next time, shall we?"

549197

>>549191
"I'm the scout… Should have noticed… must be getting sloppy…"

549200

>>549195
Give her a deadpan stare, but say nothing.
Let's try helping others instead of shooting the walls next time would be a great comeback.

549201

>>549187
I nod.
"You'd do the same, I'm sure."
Potion for you next turn.

>>549186
"sssshhh, stay calm, don't move too much. let it work."

549204

>>549195
>>549197
"Should've just teleported out…"

549205

>>549195
"These things happen. At the very least there were no mindcontroling mushrooms involved this time."

549206

>>549204
"You got someone out at least."

>>549205
"Yeah, but now we know not to take it too easy."

549207

>>549204
>>549197
"Let's not start the blame game and instead keep our heads focused ponies.
We are currently in a very risky situation.
Letting our guard down might be fatal.
Stay alert until we are ready to move again and be proud nopony died in the trap."

549208

>>549204
"Teleported me out… I owe you…"
>>549201
"Thanks…"

549209

>>549187
"Aye, ye were pinned like a king's edict."

549211

Are we healed then?

549212

Smile.
"I will have your back next time. Promise."

Burning alive is slightly horrifying.
Let's see what's left of the trapped room.

549221

>>549218
Of course.
I'm guessing the hallway is still on fire?
"I suppose we should find an alternate way."

549223

Start stretching. '1d10'
"Can't believe I let myself get that sloppy. Next time I'll be ready.

Create another health potion to replace the one I used.
Use doppleganger to create another dopple.

549233

Everyone but Selena and Light Heart's Minions are able to leap out of the way in time. All four of them get blasted out of the room. The recoil from the cannon makes the old pony collapse on the floor and start bleeding. His breathing is ragged.

There are two cannons for three cannon windows. The third one left tracks as it was wheeled away – a chip on the stairs down. Glancing down at the first floor you notice bruising on the wall you didn't see before. Someone must have pushed a cannon dow– oh wait you know what happened.

No illusory walls here – you do find an unhidden passageway, though. Halfway up the stairs there's a great iron door that hangs ajar. It leads out to the top of the cliff. You investigate further up to the top of the tower at the top of the stairs and find a flagpole. This would be a great place to hang an Awa banner to indicate the city has been secured.

549658

>>549656
"Kinda wondering where that kid went though…"

549660

>>549656
"I see.
Then, we do owe him some help.
The last defender of Urafasa.
Allow me."
>>549655
Carry the old stallion.

549662

>>549658
"…True."

Put down the old stallion.

549663

>>549657
"Of course."
Run with Hircus to the banner place.

>>549652
Grin proudly.

549666

>>549658
"He better pray we won't find him, huh?"

549667

>>549655
>>549663
Lead her to the flagpole and help her fly the banner.

549668

>>549651
>>549655
And that's… very impressive. I knew she had talent.

>>549658
"You make a good point. He must be hiding somewhere in this castle… somepony as small as him can no doubt hide well."

549669

>>549666
"That's not it.
If the kid ran somewhere in this castle, why haven't we met him yet?
And more over, where was he running to?
This old stallion?"

549672

>>549667
I string up the banner with the help of Hircus.

549673

>>549669
"Maybe there are some secret passages then?"

549678

>>549673
"Maybe.
I would wait before calling this a complete victory, then."

549679

>>549660
HP helps you!

>>549662
HP takes up the slack.

>>549663
>>549667
You raise the flag.

VICTORY ACHIEVED!

549685

>>549679
Bah, help HP.
I'm still not convinced.

549688

>>549673
>>549678
"Perhaps he was a street urchin with nowhere to go."

549690

>>549685
The two of you start heading back through the town toward the fleet. This was a relatively peaceful capture. Not bad. You doubt the other two towns will go this easily.

549692

>>549679
I sit down and use my hat to wave some cool air.
"Well, that's over…"

549694

>>549690
Especially the last one.
With all its cannons and soldiers currently moving there to reinforce it.
Help LH set down the body where she needs it.

549696

>>549694
HP, not LH. You return to the rowboat. "Okay, I can row him back!"

549697

>>549692
"A very impressive magic display back there, miss Springleaf. Very impressive indeed."

>>549690
"And everypony… well done. It was not without pain, but we managed."

549698

>>549690
"Well, that was anticlimatic."

549701

>>549697
"If it wasn't for all of you, I wouldn't have been here to do it." I grin.

549703

>>549696
"Good luck."
Push the rowboat off and regroup with the others.

549704

>>549698
I shrug.
"Kinda glad, really. Those traps fucked us up bad."

549705

>>549703
"BYE!"

549707

>>549705
Flag is in the air… should we return to the fleet?

549709

>>549705
How's Rosy doing? Don't see her come with us really often

549710

>>549709
I have no idea who that is.

Rosemary? She's tagging along after Light Heart and looking better than when she was near death.

>>549707
Whatever you want.

549712

>>549710
Still raining?
Fleet doing anything?

549714

>>549704
"Yeah, but we had worse, haven't we? This was pretty easy, considering."

549715

>>549712
You see your rowboat headed back to the fleet. The sails have been drawn back for the coming storm. Yes, still raining. The wind is picking up. Up above the flag waves rapidly.

549717

>>549715
We should return then, before it gets too bad.
"Everypony, the storm is picking up. Let us retreat to the fleet."

549720

>>549715
Uhm…
Wait, we came in only one rowboat?
Then I'll probably escort HP to the ships and row back to shore to pick the others up.

549722

>>549717
I nod.
"Yeah, I could use some rest."

549723

>>549717
Nod.
"Right."

549725

>>549710
Yeah, Rosemary. been a while since I spoke to her, always hiding in that cabin

>>549714
"Yeah… I guess."

549727

>>549725
Talk to her then!

>>549720
Very well, you did that instead.

549730

>>549727
Okay, wait for the others by the shore.

549732

>>549725
"C'mon, we had worse! Like the Stonebriar vault…"

549736

>>549730
"What are we waiting on?"

549737

>>549736
"The others to return.
A storm is coming.
"

549739

>>549727
I'm pretty sure she was scared shitless last time I tried! … that was a long time ago though
"You look pretty roughed up there. How's it feel to be back in action?"

>>549732
"Uh… Stonebriar? Don't recall that."

549740

>>549737
"Are they not coming because they are injured?" I ask confused.

549741

>>549730
>>549727
Well chop chop.
Let's get back to the fleet!

549742

>>549740
"No, they are just taking their sweet time."
Snort.
"We should at least look for some food in town…"

549743

>>549739
"It was before you came around.
Huge vault, giant golem, getting slowly roasted alive in the heat… pretty fucked up."

549745

>>549742
"what of your captive? "

549746

>>549743
"Wow, that sounds really great."

549747

>>549745
"He would probably be dead if it wasn't for us.
Probably some old guard or somepony important.
"

549748

>>549746
"It was not."

549749

>>549741
>>549743
>>549745
>>549742
Back you go!

Abilio debriefs you and congratulates you before moving the fleet out!

549751

>>549746
"Eh, I think that was when Summer started to hate me."

>>549749
"Sooo… that boss guy only pays us when we get all three cities?"

549752

>>549749
Always good to have a job well done.
Now, I think I had booked a beer with mister Face…

549754

>>549749
My minions deserve a good rest.

549756

>>549747
>>549749
Okay, is that guy we caught alright?

549757

>>549756
HP is operating on him. Brain surgery..

549759

>>549751
"Wow, you actually pinpointed the exact moment where you made her hate you? impressive."

549760

>>549751
"Yes – and the scribe is taking note of how many ships we sink for our payout. It would be inefficient to sail back to Awa in between every victory, don't you think?"

>>549754
Wark and Rosemary both nuzzle you affectionately and stick very close to you.

>>549752
You did indeed! Imagine the luck? He's sitting around nearby with a bucket full of beers.

>>549756
>>549757
Flowing is right. HP is somewhere "clean" helping treat him.

549762

>>549760
'1d10' appraise their work so far.

Roll #1 8 = 8

549763

>>549759
"Yeah, she blamed me for Spring's death."

>>549760
"Yeah… and at least we'll rake in the big cash at once, right?"

549764

>>549760
Trot up there with a smirk.
"How resourceful, master Face.
Do those come from your personal stock?"

549769

>>549760
I should do something nice for HP when she's done too.
"I was very worried for you two back there. Come… let us retreat to our quarters."

549771

>>549763
"Good job."

>>549760
"Do we get payed per tonnage sunk?"

549773

>>549760
Should I go to one of the doctors to get my burns looked at?

549776

>>549749
I'll just listen to the debrief.
I'll be slow because running MH.

549781

>>549762
You spend time searching (8) for HP and track rumors to a strange white door aboard the black ship of the Darklantern.

>>549764
"No, would you imagine the luck? I was just thinking I needed to get some booze for tonight and this fell out of the crow's nest."

>>549763
"That's right. Most of it will go towards restoring the fleet, but you'll still get a big cut, don't worry."

>>549769
"Yes! We should~"

"Aye… ye were quite tha leader taday wern'cha?" He playfully bumps you oh so slightly.

>>549771
"It's by number of vessels, or value of vessel if taken without sinking."

>>549773
Diamond Luck is nearby appraising wounds. He might be able to treat you. He's the one you met at night in the crow's nest.

>>549776
No prob!

549782

>>549781
Look up.
"Who's on duty, there?"

549783

>>549781
I'll approach him then. "Hello again. Wish I was meeting you under better circumstances."

549784

>>549781
Knock on the door. "Miss Happy puzzle? Do you need help?"

549785

>>549781
Grin.
"Fucking A!"

549786

>>549781
I smile.
"I only wished to succeed in our mission. Which we did. I am pleased."

549788

>>549781
"Uh? So it doesn't matter if we sink a small or a big ship?"

549790

>>549782
"No one, I checked first thing."

>>549783
"Hey, it's my job. I'm sure you don't meet most people you're supposed to do your job to under good circumstances, right?"

You think back to all those places you've robbed.

He takes a look at your burns. "I can treat this with aloe. Very easy fix, you'll be up to snuff in no time."

>>549784
"Sure! Comon in!"

You open the door and to your amazement, behind it is an entire MANSION!

>>549785
"Well, I knew that much would cheer you up."

>>549788
"Right. Though sinking either would be less than capturing either."

>>549786
You arrive at your room. Grey has Adel and Lilly in her lap, and she's brushing their hair.

Red and Felix are playing chase on the floor.

549791

>>549786
"Mommy!" Grey calls to you from the bed, but can't get up due to her incumbering load.

549793

>>549790
What?! How does this work. '1d10' look for happy puzzle's voice.

Roll #1 7 = 7

549794

>>549790
"Of course it does! Fuck, I can't wait to be swimming in money again…
We're getting back on track!"

549797

>>549790
"Uh."
Then, take a beer from the bucket and raise it to him.
"To a day of victory."

549798

>>549790
"If everything went well, I'd never meet them at all.
That's good to hear. I can't believe I let myself get sloppy enough to fall for that trap."

549799

>>549790
Hmmm, how cute.

>>549791
Walk over.
"Hello there Grey, did you all behave well while we were out?"

549802

>>549790
"Right… are we going to attempt capture at all though? Sounds tricky with how short we are on manpower."

549805

>>549793
She's right in front of you in the main hall.

"Come on over!"

>>549794
"Yes, that's why it's deadly important that we don't mess this mission up. We play very strict to their rules and do whatever they want so we can get the gold. Then we can go back to pillaging in earnest."

>>549797
"Victory! A good thing to drink to."

He takes a big gulp. "Hey – I've heard rumors that you're quire the casanova, aren't you? You like the hens, eh? They certainly have an interesting feel to them."

>>549798
"Eh, we all slip up. The trick is to know when to hold em and when to fold em."

He slathers some cream on you. "Let that dry – try not to wipe it off or stick your hooves in your mouth or eyes after touching it. You'll be fine."

>>549799
"Yep! Sure did!"

Adel coos softly, and Lilly giggles excitedly at you. While Rosemary says glued to your side and nuzzles on you, Wark cheerfully approaches and gathers the three of them up in a big hug. "How are my favorite li'l girls? Didja miss me? Ah missed ya a whole bunch out there taday."

Grey laughs in return. "Daddy you weren't gone that long!"

Even Red comes over. "Oi, you sentimental old fart! Gonna pay homage yet?"

Wark smiles at her and ruffles her mane. "How's 'bout a ride fittin' a king?"

She nods approvingly and he places her on his head.

It seems that barring any intervention, Wark is starting to consider all four of your daughters to be his daughters – and that they perceive him as their father figure in return. If you're not okay with that, you'll need to intervene at some point…

Meanwhile Rosemary is snuggling closer and closer to you amorously. She gently picks out feathers from your wings, preening you – it feels heavenly. She whispers through the spares: "I'm going to make you feel all better tonight~. I have just the prescription~."

>>549802
"It's a big risk. Frankly, I consider it an optional objective. Our biggest problem is a lack of crew and engineering corps. Capturing ships will be infinitely easier after we're better funded."

549807

>>549805
float over.
"Can I assist you?"

549810

>>549805
"Aah, thanks. That's much better…
Tell me, do you know of any other goats on board?"

549813

>>549805
"I'm okay with that. Just like a merc contract. I'll just have to think of the money and I won't do anything stupid."

549818

>>549805
I think they can use the father figure. Using a magic altar to change my gender doesn't quite have the fatherly feel to it. Not that I have the altar anymore anyway.

"You were in quite a lot of pain earlier. Are you sure you don't want to switch the roles up for once?"

549819

>>549805
Chuckle.
"I have not tried hiding it, that much is true.
But my only quality is perseverance, I'm afraid."

549820

>>549807
The old pony's head has been… sawed off! His brain is there, exposed!

"Yes… see how his brain is swelling? This is due to external trauma and constrictions on the bloodstreams. Help me open up his blood flow to get things pumping again."

>>549810
"I don't think we have any, to be honest. Well, except for you. Why?"

>>549813
"Good. I'm glad you've grown more responsible in these months."

He gives you a fatherly smile. "I might even say I'm proud of you."

549825

>>549820
I… don't think I've heard that a lot of times.
Smile genuinly with excited eyes.
"You are?"

549826

>>549818
She nearly squeals in delight. "I-I'll do anything you want me to!!"

Wark continues to play with the little ones while you talk dirty.

>>549819
"Well, I keep my ears open, too. But you must have impressed her, she seemed pleased with your… skills."

549827

>>549820
'1d10' appraise to figure out how to get his blood flowing "Forgive me, but doesn't he need that attached?"

Roll #1 6 = 6

549828

>>549805
"Alright… if it does come to that, I'd love to be part of the boarding teams."

549829

>>549820
"Because last night, somepony grabbed me from behind, and when I escaped their hold, I was able to recognize that they were a goat. However, nopony else seems to know who it was."

549830

>>549826
"Now, she said that, did she?"
Smirk and drink some.

549831

>>549826
I chuckle.
"I will be the one doing the things today, I believe."

549837

>>549825
"Yes."

It catches you off guard when he actually gives you a hug. You don't think you've ever seen the professional Abilio ever show that kind of affection to anyone but Cloudy.

"And at this rate, one day I think you'd make a good captain. Maybe commodore."

>>549827
"Yes, but we're okay for short periods."

You need to heal the swollen areas surrounding the vessels so they have less pressure on them.

>>549828
"Good. I'll keep it in mind."

>>549829
"Very interesting… you know I had heard stories of a goat… well, I assumed it was either you or just dumb rumors."

>>549830
He downs a beer with practiced ease.

"Sure did. You apparently stormed her castle before she could even put on any moves in reply. Which was quite wise. Did you know, I've heard it said there are three kinds of ponies. Treating them how they want to be treated is the key to good relationships."

>>549831
Wark breaks away from his play to mention to you, "I talked to Ciddir about some cribs, and he's working on them. I also found out that your friend Miss Doily has experience babysitting. And I thought I'd let you know that I started teaching Red and Grey recently."

Geez he sure does a lot of stuff for your little family.

"I'm so excited I might burst~!! I can't wait I can't wait! M-maybe you could give me a preview?"

549839

>>549837
"I see.."
'1d10' heal a swollen area.

Roll #1 8 = 8

549840

>>549837
"I can assure you, it's not just a rumor. This is really frustrating, how nopony knows anything about this!"

549841

>>549837
"Three kinds of ponies?
Do tell."
Take short sips, I want to enjoy the fresh flavor.

549842

>>549837
I think I'm too stunned to properly hug back.
"Uh… you really think? I mean, yeah, fuck, that would be awesome!"
Keep composure!
'1d10'

Roll #1 3 = 3

549844

>>549837
"Ah yes, the cribs. I had thought those would have to wait for better times, but apparently not. And yes, I thought miss Doily would be an adequate guardian, that is why I invited her to come to the Sirocco."
I've been teaching them too, haven't I?

"Have some patience… I promise I will make it worth it~"

549845

>>549837
>>549842
I smile slightly at this scene.
This guy knows his stuff.

549857

>>549839
He's looking better already.

She puts his lid back on and starts to seal it. "Help me close up, and you'll be a certified brain surgeon!"

Then she pauses. "You won't actually be a surgeon, never try this without my help, okay?"

>>549840
He laughs uneasily. "Well… there's a rumor that the Darklantern might be the slightest bit haunted."

>>549841
"You know, alphas, betas, and omegas. I think you can guess what you are."

>>549844
Yes, but more in the book-learning and firearm department. You briefly wonder what Wark is teaching them.

He clears his throat. "Should I fetch her?"

There might have been a hint of ~ in his voice.

"Aww daddy, we'll miss you!

"Oh, just fer the night, ya little sugarlump. It'll bet she has all kindsa games fer you."

"Promise?"

"Promise!"

>>549845
>>549842
You don't keep it very composed and maybe your eyes water a little bit but that's probably just from the rain or saltwater in your eyes it's notreallycryingshutup! What's important is that you're excited and hopping about and wings flaring!

"Oh yes, some day. You've made so much progress already."

549858

>>549857
"If you please. I believe we deserve some rest and relaxation."

549859

>>549857
"Okay Miss Puzzle. I won't."
'1d10' Follow her directions to help seal, use triage.

Roll #1 10 = 10

549860

>>549858
Wark disappears with Adel, Lilly, Grey, and Red. It's just the two of you for now~

549861

>>549857
Chuckle.
"Yes, I don't tiptoe around an issue and don't back away from my prize, if that's what you mean.
Yet, I've had the worst of luck at times.
You should listen to what went on just the other night in Awa…"
Do a little… Embellished recount of my misadventures in town.

549862

>>549857
"…Is that so?" Look thoughtful.
"Well now… Now I have an idea of what to look for. I intend to give that goat some payback, one way or another."
Clear my throat and look around a bit before leaning in.
"By the way, do you know Ciddir?"

549863

>>549857
Quickly wipe my eyes.
Stupid saltwater.
"Thanks! Oh, fuck, just imagine, you'll train me more magic, I'll become captain, I'll be rich… aww, yeah, it will be so fucking sweet!"

549864

>>549860
"I was just contemplating… I wonder if we will ever get our altar back."

549865

>>549859
Easy as brain surgery! You've got a knack for it.

"There! Now he just needs rest. Thanks little fae!"

>>549861
He chuckles. "I see your problem now. You were using the wrong approaches."

>>549863
"Yes. But for now, we set sail. You should get some rest – no doubt we'll encounter resistance in Shiba."

>>549862
"Ciddir? Of course, the third mate on the Sirocco. He's a bit of an odd one, isn't he?"

>>549864
"Well, we kinda know where it is, right? Down at the bottom of that bay… but I definitely share your frustrations."

She gives you a grin. "I miss having you inside me."

549866

>>549865
"Too… Indirect?"

549867

>>549865
"If we do, we'll crush them!"
Walk up to Tela and nuzzle her.
"Right?"

549868

>>549865
"Well… perhaps if we do retrieve it one day, we could also switch things up even further."
I smirk back.
"You remember being a stallion for a short time, no?"

549869

>>549865
"Yes… how does one approach him without upsetting him? I'm finding it… very difficult to understand his thought process."

549870

>>549865
My eyes light up as she thanks me. "You're welcome!"

549871

>>549857
"Yes ma'am. Uh… I kind of wanted to talk with Abilio. In private."

549873

>>549866
He laughs. "You really ARE an alpha, aren't you? No, no, you have to match the behavior to the woman. Listen, that first mare with the proper behavior was obviously an alpha. She wanted someone to play coy with her so she could chase you around a little. See how she was into you at the beginning but as soon as you tried to make a move she laughed you off? Those schoolgirls were betas. They enjoyed the compliments but they have too much ambition to be shared. The hen you finally bedded? She's an omega. She wants to be dominated by a confident, direct stallion."

>>549870
"I've seen you a lot lately! You sleep in Miss Heart's room!"

>>549868
She blushes. "O-oh yes. W-whatever you want me to do, I'll gladly do it. I even meant to say… I mean, I never thanked you… That is… when you first told me that you wanted to have Adel…I was worried that it would hurt our relationship… but honestly having Wark around to do all the parenting just gives us more time to be together, and I really loved having someone who understood what I was going through when I was pregnant. It just brought us closer together~. I trust you implicitly when you tell me to do something. You always know best for me."

>>549869
"Upsetting him? I don't think I've ever seen him upset. He spends most of his time confused, I think."

>>549871
"Sure, let's head to my library. Cloudy'll be upstairs.

549877

>>549873
"I see. Actually, not really. Why would he be confused much of the time?"

549878

>>549873
I guess I could chat with Cloudy while Tela chats with Abilio

549879

>>549873
I chuckle and caress her cheek with a hoof.
"You are the sweetest thing, do you know that? It is comforting to know that no matter what, you will be at my side. I cannot thank you enough for being here in the first place."

549881

>>549873
Nod "I've recently joined this team, Lady Heart has been most generous in letting my little sister and I stay in her cabin."

549883

>>549873
Let out a little snort.
"Guess I really were talking them down the wrong way.
You seem more than a little experienced.
Interesting life?"

549884

>>549878
She's up in their cabin proper.

"Oh, good evening Emrille."

>>549877
"Well, you may have noticed he's a deer. He always says how our brains are built differently. He thinks in a different way. Also, he's spent basically his entire life in a secluded village on a distant island outside of pony culture. He's an odd one."

>>549879
She kisses you right on the lips. "Thanks~"

Wark pops his head in. "Dropped off the kids."

>>549881
"She's really nice! I've worked with her for a while now!"

>>549883
"Oh, boy, you're going to start asking me about work. Alright, yes, I mean, everyone wants to know, so we may as well get it out of the way. Is there anything specific you wanted to know right off the top?"

He stands up and grabs his bucket. "This may get a bit graphic and I don't want those kids to walk by, so let's head back to my quarters."

549886

>>549873
Once they're gone, start pacing around.
"I've been wondering about something… I know this is going to make me sound like an ungrateful cunt but it's bothering me. Why wasn't I ever assigned as an officer? I mean… I'm competent, right? Maybe not as competent as some of the other officers, but still…"

549887

>>549884
Smirk at her.
"Hey there. Sup?"

549888

>>549884
"I suppose that explains a bit.

So… has he ever been in a… sexual relationship before?"

549889

>>549884
Nod at him.
"Thank you. Rosemary? Could you go check on Puzzle and see how she's faring with her surgery?"

549890

>>549884
Try to hold a laugh back, but eventually fail and let it out, long and fat.
"That was…
Maybe you misunderstood me, master Face.
I think I'm more than capable of fucking mares by now.
No, it was more of an inquiry about your past conquests."

549891

>>549884
"She does seem unusually kind for a privateer."

549892

>>549886
"It was just a matter of seniority. You've been with us a long time, but you haven't actually been a real member of the fleet until about a year ago. Frankly, when it comes to paperwork you're probably more competent than Emrille."

>>549887
"Just working with the sea charts to get to Shiba."

>>549888
"Iunno. The only one I've ever seen visit him are that horn-dog Chip and that… pretty young thing Selena. I wouldn't be surprised if he was with one of the two."

>>549889
"Sure! Should I… invite her back?"

>>549890
"Oh, no, I'm aware that's what you wanted. This may seem crazy prudish for a stallion in my line of work but I don't even like to talk about sex in public."

He gives you a bemused smile. "Don't worry, I'm straight."

>>549891
"Yep! But then I have to say yep because that would be totally a betrayal of employer if I talked bad about her! But there's not much to talk bad about so you're still right!"

549894

>>549892
Okay, time to finish the beer.
"This sounds like a story worth listening to.
Make way."

549895

>>549892
"Hmn. Thanks."
Now that I'm healed up, are there any familiar crewmembers for me to talk to?

549896

>>549892
"Oh no, I doubt she would be interested. Do come back later. Say… in an hour or two? Perhaps this would be a prime moment for a nap too, you… may need the energy for later."

549897

>>549892
"Of course. Forgive me for bringing up the topic."
"What do you think of Flowing Tree?"

549898

>>549892
Walk over and look over her shoulder.
Can I make sense of what she's doing?
Or how she's doing it?
'1d10'

Roll #1 9 = 9

549899

>>549894
You head on back to his room and he opens the windows to air out the thick scents inside, no doubt for seducing mares. Even you think they smell intoxicating.

"Well, like I said, do you have any specific questions, or should I just pick something at random?"

>>549895
Itztli is nearby on the guard rails.

>>549896
"Oh, gosh… alright!"

>>549897
"He seems pretty nice! He acts a lot younger than he is, though!"

>>549898
You can definitely tell she's working on something to do with distance on that map. She's using a compass and a scribe's compass.

549900

>>549899
"Let's start by the smell.
Your own mix?"

549901

>>549892
"I guess that's true… I just…"
I scrunch.
"I'm really starting to have doubts about my uh… choices in life lately. Especially when we've got free time and my mind starts to wander…"

549902

>>549899
"So… walk me through on this, are you using math and shit?"

549903

>>549899
"Hey there, Itztli. I was trying to find you earlier. Know anything about the ghost haunting the Darklantern?"

549904

>>549899
I nod at her.
"Thank you."
When she leaves, turn to Wark.
"You said… educating the children?"

549905

>>549899
Nod. "He is a great leader. He just needs ponies that will listen to his directions."

549908

>>549900
"Actually, I got it off some gypsy trader. The pot never seems to run out of smell. Pretty lucky to run into someone with one of those."

>>549901
"What kind of choices? Like being with Emrille…? Working for the fleet?"

>>549902
She giggles. "Yes, both math and shit."

>>549903
"OF COURSE I DO WHAT DO I LOOK LIKE A RABBIT THAT DOES NOT KNOW ABOUT GHOSTS?"

>>549904
"Aye, started teachin' em how ta wear armor and wield a weapon. Jus' in case o'course. Grey has a real talent fer retaliatary strikes, 'n Red moves surprisin'ly well in heavy armor."

>>549905
She giggles. "You sure took a shine to him fast!"

549911

>>549908
Pout.
"That sounds boring."

549913

>>549908
Blush. "What are you talking about? I simply recognize his leadership abilities"

549915

>>549908
"Quite the opposite, in fact. That's why I was looking for you. Now, could you tell me anything that you know about it?"

549917

>>549908
"Hmm. Interesting. I did teach little Grey how to hoofle a rifle as well. But keep it up, you are right to ensure that they are prepared."

549918

>>549908
"I will keep an eye out for gypsies then.
So. Hit me,with anything. I'm just curious now!"

549920

>>549908
"Eh… I care for Emmy. She's a real handful sometimes, but I love her still. … Don't think I've seen her act like she did just now very often before though. She really looks up to you."

549922

>>549911
"Sometimes work is boring, you know."

>>549913
"I see that way you look at him! A Laughter priestess always knows! And I'm practically a priestess!"

>>549915
"IT IS THE HARBINGER OF MUCH CHAOS I AM PLEASED BY ITS PRESENCE IT HAS MADE MY STAY HERE ON THE DARKLANTERN MUCH MORE AMUSING AND BEARABLE."

>>549917
"Y'know… since tha kids and Rosemary are out fer an hour er two…"

He approaches and gives you a sincere, deeply affectionate nuzzle that lasts several seconds. The kind that he only ever gives you in private when he's not pretending to be stoic all day.

"I dun s'pose I need ta remind ya how beautiful you are, how soft your mane is… but I migh' anyway. I am known ta be a little bit of a rogue wit such things."

>>549918
"Let's see… what do they always want to know. Numbers? Actually, I set a record for myself the other night. That was… eight at once? I don't know how the daimyo expected old Abilio to get through that. Honestly the really exhausting part was keeping them from messing up my costume."

>>549920
"Oh, I know. I don't think she ever really connected with a family before and she's… looking for that connection somewhere. First with Spring. Maybe now here."

549923

>>549922
"Well, I don't envy you. Or do you actually like doing this?"

549924

>>549922
I laugh and return the gesture.
"Are you attempting to make me blush?"

549925

>>549922
"I see… so, want to help me get some payback against it?"

549926

>>549923
"Reading maps is kind of boring for me. I like to actually make new ones. There's a certain beauty of self-expression."

>>549924
"Neh. Just remindin' ya why ya make ma heart race… why I want ta keep ya safe."

He draws in closer and gives you a long, loving neck-hug.

>>549925
"NOT IF YOU PLAN TO GET RID OF IT THIS GHOST IS A USEFUL AGENT OF CHAOS BUT PERHAPS I COULD MEDIATE A CLASH AGREEMENT BETWEEN YOU THAT WE MAY ALL WORK TOWARD CHAOS TOGETHER."

549927

>>549922
"A little bit with me too… you've probably noticed the slight age gap between us. Though I guess our relationship changed now that we're lovers."
Shake my head.
"Uh… anyway. You know… my parents are Equestrian navy?"

549928

>>549926
"Well, there's not much to draw about the sea, is there? It's just water everywhere."

549930

>>549926
"Not getting rid of it, per say… It screwed me, so I want to screw it back. If that spreads chaos, then maybe we can help each other."

549931

>>549926
"I am happy you feel that way. It seems like an eternity ago when we first met. It is hardly a surprise that we have bonded so much by now."

549932

>>549927
He remarks in passing while you're shaking your head, "You know, if you wanted to make your ages match, I could do that."

Then after you remark on your parents:

"I didn't know – Smitts would have, he always tracked these kinds of things. I suppose you're worried we'll come into conflict with them?"

>>549928
"Oh, just the opposite – currents, winds, stars – it's all much more graceful than boring land. And most importantly it's nice and smooth, unlike rough mountains. I hate mountain maps. They are colored to indicate height and convey no height to the blind."

549934

>>549932
"What about bumpy maps? Aren't those a thing?"

549935

>>549930
"PERHAPS BUT YOU NEED A PLAN RAPING A BEING WHICH CAN BECOME INCORPOREAL SEEMS DIFFICULT UNLESS YOU EMPLOY SOME KIND OF MAGIC UNLESS OF COURSE YOU WERE ASKING FOR A MORE PEACEFUL SCREWING."

You are drawing some glances.

549936

>>549934
"They're pretty uncommon on land and practically non-existent at sea. You can't roll them up."

549937

>>549932
"Nah… I don't mind and I seriously doubt she does as well. And… maybe a little. I mean I haven't spoken to them in over a decade. I don't even know if they're still serving and if so, where."
I frown.
"But what I'm mostly troubled about is the fact that I'm not sure I made the right call by leaving them in the first place."

549938

549939

>>549935
"Maybe one, maybe the other. Haven't decided yet. Maybe my first question should be where can I find it.
Though while we're at it… is there a kind of magic that can make ghosts stay solid?"

549940

>>549936
"I'm sure it could be magicked that they only become bumpy if you unroll them."

549941

>>549931
He nibbles on your ear gently, content for now with foreplay.

He chuckles amusedly at the memory. "Ye were a bit prideful back then. Not ready ta call me master."

>>549937
"I can't say as to whether or not you chose rightly, but I think it's a little silly to worry about something so old it can't be taken back. In any case, I'm trying to steer this fleet to be a more legitimate enterprise. Maybe we won't ever be hunted by Equestrians again!"

>>549939
"THAT SOUNDS LIKE A QUESTION FOR A MAGIC EXPERT NOT A CHAOS EXPERT BUT THE LOCATION I MAY BE ABLE TO HELP WITH IT PREFERS VERY DARK PLACES IN THE BUNKHOUSE AND MAY BE ATTRACTED TO AMOROUS FEELINGS I THINK IT HIDES ELSEWHERE I AM NOT CERTAIN WHERE."

>>549940
"Sure, but who would do that? There just aren't many blind ponies because ponies either get cured or die blind."

549943

>>549941
"Alright. Thanks for the help."
Let's head on down into the hold.

549944

>>549941
"Well, gee, I don't fucking know, it's not like you are the marefriend of one of the best magic users I know!"

549945

>>549943
Deep in the depths of the hold you find that moving pile that resurrected Tela.

>>549944
She laughs. "Well, maybe I'll ask him, but how often do we need a map of mountains in OUR work?"

549946

>>549941
"Hmmm… it was a rather difficult time for me. Before coming to the fleet, I practiced more… legal businesses. To an extent at least."

549947

>>549945
"Hey there. Doing all right, down here by your lonesome?"

549948

>>549945
Snicker.
"I don't know, I guess you'd like bumpy things with lots of ridges."

549949

>>549941
"I guess. Dying really tends to fuck with your mind. Too much time to dwell on your past… bah. I guess you're right. The last thing I want is to get shot by my own family."

549950

>>549946
"Law is a strange thing ta me… I've seen it close in so much over the years, making tha world seem smaller and smaller… but tha world is still large yet. Why live by tha laws of others? Except when it makes ya happy, that is."

He nudges you affectionately again before settling in on the bed.

>>549947
"Mmmmph mm."

>>549948
She blushes. "Emrille!"

>>549949
"All that means is that it's time to start planning for the future. Look ahead, not behind."

549951

>>549950
Let out a short snortle before asking innocently.
"Yeeeeees?~"
Okay, not so innocently.

549952

>>549950
"I have no issues with law. It can be restricting, true, but also bent around into your favor. Still, the lawlessness of the fleet was rather refreshing. It still is today. You were an unknown to me, a potential threat. But since then you have proven your worth over and over again."

549953

>>549952
During the briefing still, I'll salute Abilio when he congratulates us.
"Thank you, Commodore."

549954

549955

>>549951
She replies with a very lady-like, "That's not proper to speak about!"

Then adds, teasingly, "Besides, I thought you might be disgusted if I told you about how every night the commodore rails me until I can't walk and I feel bloated with his seed."

>>549952
He reclines on the bed and beckons you with a faint smile. "Ya seemed a little uptight back then. I think ye weren't used ta tha freedom yet."

>>549954
>>549953
"I'm glad to see Mister Tree was wrong about you."

549956

>>549955
Make mental note of that.
"I simply did my part. I still have much to learn, but everypony in our group shows me how it's done and I'm a quick learner."

549957

>>549955
Make an exaggereted gagging sound.
"Bleergh… I wonder what the others will say if I tell them you say you love that."

549958

>>549955
Saunter over.
"Light Heart is as uptight as she wants to be."

549959

>>549958
He gently eases you into bed alongside him, but instead of slipping in right away like most males, he takes his time and lovingly massages your wings and whispers sweet nothings in your ear. "What about Liberty Belle?"

>>549957
She gives you a smirk. "I would imagine none of them would ever believe you if you told them I said that."

>>549956
"Yes, I saw your potential right away. You have so much raw talent… and I don't mind saying you are the spitting image of your mother."

549960

>>549959
Blush a bit.
"Thank you, Abilio. Um…you said earlier that you and her studied together in the magic academy?"

549961

>>549959
"Wouldn't they?"

549962

>>549959
Relax.
"Liberty Belle… she's a little less uniform."

549963

>>549960
"The opposite – we did study together but it WASN'T a big, fancy academy. We were apprenticed to the same mage. I knew her quite well because our class size was two. After learning from Baron Feather we parted ways and I was educated by the warlock who I consider to be my greatest influence, Artsila. After her, I continued my studies under Instructor Thatch here aboard the fleet."

>>549961
She laughs. "Certainly not."

>>549962
He moves down and works your exhausted sides. "And wha' abou' tha' pretty jenny I had a beautiful daughter with?"

549964

>>549963
"Still… eww. Fucking eww."

549965

>>549963
"Hmmm… do you miss her that much? Sorry to disappoint… but I really like my wings."

549966

>>549963
I brush my hair aside.
"I never knew much about what my mother did, before I was born…"
I rub my front leg.
"Maybe, when you're not as busy, you could tell me a bit about that time?"

549967

>>549964
She gives you a smile. "Somehow I knew you wouldn't care to hear about it. So why bring it up?"

>>549965
He gives you a little nip of a kiss. "I care about what's in yer head, not what's on tha outside o it."

>>549966
"Sure, it might be a fun exercise."

549968

>>549967
"I thought you were shy and shit, and would blush left and right and tell me to stop it and everything!"

549969

>>549967
Exercise?
I smile.
"Thanks, Abilio. I'll go have some rest now."

Um, lemme see.
Can I talk to Scarab?

549970

>>549967
"Well… I sure have a lot of things going on in my head. But… enough of that. Time is such a precious thing. We shouldn't squander it too much with idle talk, as much as I enjoy it."

549971

>>549922
Turn even more red. "Practically a priest? What does that mean? Is this some kind of Equestrian joke?"

549972

>>549969
Sure! You head down into the depths of the Darklantern where he lurks.

>>549968
"Well, I did at first. But I suppose I've grown to see you in a different way."

>>549970
"Mmm.. I know ya have needs… and as lovely as Miss Rosemary is… I can give ya something she can't."

Your faint heart skips a beat as he gently inserts himself into you. After a long, exhausting day, it's blissful as your nethers tighten and moisten and you give a gentle moan as he expands to his full length and fills you entirely. Like a young jack, he begins to pump. There's a strong difference between your experiences with Rosemary and Wark. Rosemary's lovemaking is frantic, passionate, and centrally focused on carnal pelasure. Wark is slow, gentle, and filling. He's certainly the more practiced of the two, and each express love, but in such distinct ways.

>>549971
She cups her hooves around you and lifts you up to her face. "You're so cute~! I can tell by your expression how much you like him. Hey! We should raid him! Sneak into his room and watch him sleep! For fun!"

549973

>>549972
"Hello?"

549974

>>549973
"Mmmmm?"

549975

>>549972
"Fuck… there's the fun gone…"
Quickly brush up against her side.
"Or maybe I can start telling you some stories about how it feels to rub fannies with a mare~"

549976

>>549974
"Oh hello, mister Scarab. I wanted to thank you for what you did for miss Tela."
Smile as best as I can at the pile of dirt '1d10'

Roll #1 6 = 6

549977

>>549972
"H-how improper!" Then quietly stare at her, adding. "What would come of such an act? It won't help him see me.."

549978

>>549975
She laughs. "I'm actually shocked you even think of me that way."

>>549976
That's not dirt.

"Mmmm. Mmmmph mmm mmmph mmm mmmmmmph mm. Mmm mmm mmmmm mmmph."

549979

>>549977
"I told you! Just for fun! You like fun, don't you?"

549980

>>549978
"I dunno, I bet I could totally blow your mind, with you being blind and everything. You'd feel it better and everything, right?"

549981

>>549978

I smile "Eh, it is a bit hard to understand you, I'm sorry. I wanted to tell you that if I can help you in any way as an alchemist, I'd be glad too."

549982

>>549979
Pause as if in deep thought. "I like fixing things.. and I did have some fun with Who-Hunts-Monster-in-the-Woods.. Are you sure this will be fun?"

549983

>>549978
>>549981
I'm down here too, right?
"Well, hello there Selena. Fancy meeting you down here."

549984

>>549983
"Ah, Hircus, I didn't know you were here as well."

549985

>>549984
"Was just stopping by to say hello to him. Must be lonely, hanging down here all day with nopony else around."

549986

>>549980
She laughs. "I don't literally mean to see things. I mean… I think of you like a daughter, Emrille. That seems awfully incestuous."

>>549981
"Mmmm… mmmmph mmmph mm."

Then he writes in muck on the ground.

send tela

>>549982
She giggles. "I'm an expert on fun!"

549987

>>549983
Yep you are

549988

>>549986
"Tela? Yes, I'll make sure to tell her. Well, I don't want to disturb you any longer. A fine day!"
Trot off.

>>549985
"Ah, well I don't want to disturb mister Scarab any longer, do you want to come with me to the deck?"

549989

>>549988
He 'nods' at you.

549990

>>549986
well having fun isn't completely awful right?
"Okay, let's give it a try."

549991

>>549988
"Certainly. I always enjoy spending more time with you."

549992

>>549986
Step away and snort.
"You should stop thinking like that then."

549993

>>549991
Trot up to deck and stretch.
"Ooof, what a day."

549994

>>549990
She cheerfully gallops off with you in tow.

You arrive at some random bunks. "I… am not sure which bunk he likes to sleep in! Let's look for samurai clothes and steal his underwear!"

>>549992
She approaches and hugs your head to her chest.

"You're a sweetie and I will not."

549995

>>549993
Attempt to not get too 'distracted' by this. '1d10'
"Y…yeah. I, uh… see you're obviously feeling better. That's good. Very good."

Roll #1 8 = 8

549996

>>549994
Take a deep breath… but then after a few seconds, step back from the hug.
"Seriously. I don't need any family."

549997

>>549994
Blush and quietly gasp "w-what we can't steal his stuff!"
'1d10' do I spot tree-sempai here?

Roll #1 2 = 2

549998

>>549995
You're a very composed goat.
"How are you feeling? You got hurt pretty bad."
Take your hoof and look it over for burn marks.

549999

>>549996
"You don't think you need a family because, if I may be blunt, you had a shitty family."

>>549997
Nah, he's elsewhere.

"Okay, I've got a plan! I'll go hunt down Tree so that we know where he is and he won't walk in on us – YOU find and snatch his underthings? Got it! Good!"

She bounces off.

550000

>>549998
Blush at your touch. "I, uh… saw a guy about that. He put some aloe on the burns, said to let it dry.
…They still kind of ache every now and then, though."

550001

>>549999
turn completely red as she gallops off again. "h-hey wait?!"
'1d10-1' focus on looking around here.

Roll #1 2 - 1 = 1

550002

>>550000
I nod, while looking at your hoof.
"Yes, aloe is fine, I have some in my lab as well, come I'll put some more on you to be sure."

550003

>>549999
Frown and take another deep breath.
"My parents hated me.
Do you understand?"
Turn away.
"They've wrong me. Cheated me out of my childhood."
Tense up and instinctively rest a wing on my rifle.
"They better hope I will never come across them."

550004

>>550002
"…T-thank you. You are… a very good friend to have."
Follow you with ears burning and cheeks tinged red.

550005

>>550004
I hum a little song while I bring you to my lab.
Take a pot full of aloe and start rubbing some on your back '1d10'

Roll #1 10 = 10

550006

>>550001
You can't focus at a time like this! You were just asked to steal Tree-sempai's undergarments!

You gotta stop blushing first!

>>550003
"Well, if it makes you feel better, I don't think anyone has any plans to go to Great Bridle."

>>550005
What a good massage pone. Maybe you could've taken up that line of work!

550007

>>550006
"Maybe.
Maybe making them pay would make me feel better."

550008

>>550006
Maybe Face should have let me massage him!

550009

Sit down heavily as my face turns crimson.

550012

>>550011
"Yes, sitting down is better."
Rub your neck.
"Does that feel better? You should be feeling a faintly cool feeling."

550013

>>550007
She gives you a little smile. "Maybe. But I bet you'd feel even better if you focused on those that you have now – like Tela. And even me. I'm here for you."

>>550008
Maybe!

>>550009
Hm… these deep breaths are making you breath in all these ugly menial smells. That helps you get more grounded because it's awful! Better go find Tree Sempai's stuff.

550014

>>550013
'1d10' look for tree-sempai's belonging.

Roll #1 1 = 1

550015

"Y-y-yeah…"
Crap, she's good! I can barely form a coherent sentence!
And now she's got my shoulder's going limp; if she walks in front of me, she'll see!
Shit shit shit shit shit

550016

>>550013
Shake my head…
This is getting too cheesy.
"Thanks, but I think Tela would beat us both to pulp if we did it."

550017

>>550015
You're sitting down. I can't see shit.
"Should I do your legs too? Or do they feel okay?"

550018

>>550014
You don't know if it is fortunate or unfortunate that you spot his underthings right away and fly directly into them.

But you do know that it is super unfortunate that you got stuck inside them like a net! Oh no! What if he finds you like this, all wrapped up in his underpants?! Worse yet, it smells so much like sempai!!

550019

>>550016
She laughs again. "If you share a bed with me it's going to be because you had a bad dream, not because we're going at it."

550020

>>550018
Oh no! I need to get untangled before he sees this. so improper '1d10'

My eyes widen. Is… is she doing this on purpose?
"…S-sure… You are…way too good at this… Oooh fffff…"

550023

>>550022
I suppose you'll keep sitting down?

550024

>>550023
Unless you do something to make me stand back up!

550025

>>550020
You finally work your way out. Hey… how did she expect you to take this? It's so big!

It's so big~

>>550021
She ruffles your mane and recalls wistfully, "I remember way back when you were a little filly and would come to me and ask to teatfeed. You were so young back then!"

550026

>>550024
Nope.
Goat should sit down and relax.
Rub your front legs and back legs professionally.
"There you go. You'll feel great tomorrow!"

550027

>>550023
>>550024
HP pops in the door.

"Hiya!"

I look up and smile.
"Hey Happy! How are you?"

550033

>>550030
"Well yeah, I just, fuck, do I need to spell it out?"

550034

"Good! I wanted to know if you could help with something!"

>>550033
She teases you, "You were too young to have urges back then, Emrille. It's okay to admit you felt safe and liked my taste."

>>550034
You lift it up to fold it, but the other half flops over on top of you! Oi oi!

550037

>>550036
Roll my eyes.
"I wasn't actually a kid."

550038

Roll #1 6 = 6

550041

>>550036
"Well, I've just finished up giving Hircus some aloe. So I'm fine for now. But thanks for thinking about me."
Trot to a bucket of water to wash my hooves.
"I'm happy you're still your happy self. We had some tough moments in the castle!"

550042

>>550037
She shrugs. "I don't really know the specifics of how the magic works. But if you ever feel like you need that feeling of security again… Abilio can shrink you down for that night and you can snuggle up close to me again and eat dinner. I'm sure your marefriend wouldn't object. It's totally platonic, after all."

>>550038
>>550039
So many critfails! It's a good thing you aren't in combat right now.

As you attempt to back away you accidentally brush your teensy little behind against the fabric and are overwhelmed by the thought SEMPAI WORE THIS AND IT TOUCHED ME THAT'S PRACTICALLY LIKE TOUCHING HIM!

>>550040
>>550041
"Yep! I actually wanted YOUR help, though. I'm working on a prank. You remember I'm a Laughter follower, right?"

550043

>>550042
"Yes, you mentioned that. I love pranks! Do you want to help too Hircus?"

550044

>>550042
"…News to me, but please, continue."
and distract Selena from the fact that I'm still seated.

550045

>>550043
"Yes, I'll help."

550046

>>550042
Give her a look.
"Yeah, just be careful, I might brush up against other parts."

"Remember how you helped with that donkey potion for Light Heart? I wanted to know if you thought you could mix up a breezie potion! But maybe you need ingredients and some kind of instructions?"

>>550046
She tuts at you amusedly. "It's okay, I know you wouldn't mean anything by it."

>>550047
You're feeling at least more composed than you were!

How long have you been standing here, anyway?

550049

>>550048
"Yes."
I scratch my chin.
"I'd love to try that. I'd have to do some research on how it is made it exactly first however."

550050

>>550048
Smirk.
"What if I did?"

550051

>>550048
>>550049
"Okay… how would I help?" This is getting really distracting.

550052

>>550048
I-I don't know?
Okay, well.. lets look around for a way to carry these.. Tree-sempai's. huge. underwear. S-surely appraise will help here '1d10'

She rolls her whole head – rather than her blinded eyes. "Then I'd set up a crib for you next to the bed and make you watch."

>>550051
"I'm not sure! Maybe gather ingredients? Don't you eat a lot of greens?"

>>550049
"Sounds good! I have no real set date for this, so keep me posted, and I'll keep my eyes open!"

>>550052
Aha! You notice the weakness of the design – there are creases which you can fold it along!

550054

>>550053
"Happy, why do you want this potion exactly?"

550055

>>550053
"Watch what?"

550056

>>550054
"I want to prank Flowing Tree!"

550057

>>550056
I snicker.
"Well you had me at "breezie potion." But that makes it all the sweeter."

550058

>>550055
"Two ponies who mean something by it when they brush up against each other."

She laughs at her own joke. "I don't think Abilio would buy into a punishment that cruel, but we're both just kidding, right?"

>>550057
"Sounds good!"

550062

>>550060
"Good idea!"

550063

>>550058
Walk to Happy.
So Hircus has an opportunity to get up without me seeing his boner.
"I'll have to check out some books, but I'll keep you posted, can't be too hard. If I need your help for something to make it, I can call on you, right?"

550064

>>550058

"Anyway, was that all?"

>>550065
Solid Snake mode engaged! You stealth away.

550068

>>550061
Y-yea! Lets fly out of here with the.. package. Where is that Happy Puzzle? '1d10'

Roll #1 10 = 10

Nod.
"Yeah, I think."

550070

>>550066
"Bye!"
What a sweet girl.
"Hirc-"
Huh he sneaked off, he must have been shy or something.
Hmmm, who next.
You know, I don't think I've met our doctors yet, nursing heart (and Doc Peg?)

550071

>>550067
Okay, I need to take care of this raging boner, and with the images in my head a guy won't do. Sneak around in search of a good-looking menial! '1d10'

Roll #1 2 = 2

550072

>>550068
Perfect! You meet her in the hallway!

"You got the underwear! Score!" She places you and HIS package on her back before taking you back to the mansion.

"So? Was it loads of fun? Maybe I should leave you alone with the underwear before I ask that…"

>>550069
"Alright, well, go get 'em. And remember that I'm here for you. Visit me any night – even if you just want to talk and aren't hungry."

>>550070
Nurturing Heart and Diamond Luck.

Also HP and that breezie, Manako.

>>550071
Hm… you're not having much luck on this deck, and your boner is being impatient!

550073

>>550072
HP, I've met, going to talk more to her later.
See this Nurturing Heart

550074

>>550072
"…sure. I will. Anyway, catch you later. I got a mare to attend to."

550075

>>550072
Fuck it, just find a dark enough corner and rub one out! '1d10'

Roll #1 4 = 4

550076

"I uh.. where did you go all that time?!" control blush! '1d10'

Roll #1 2 = 2

550077

>>550073
Nurturing Heart is an interesting case. She has a small room as a clinic and NEVER comes out of it to see anyone. And she only takes very serious injuries.

You heard that until recently she always slept with Chip since the day she joined the fleet.

>>550074
"You show her who's second mate!"

>>550075
It wasn't your best, but you were in a rush. You're relieved, now.

>>550076
"I'll tell you, but only if you keep it a secret, okay?!"

550078

>>550077
"Okay. I promise not to tell."

550079

>>550077
I knock at her door.
"Hello, miss Heart?"

550080

>>550078
"I'm going to prank Flowing Tree! I talked to our alchemist to make a potion to turn him into a little Breezie pony like you as a joke!"

>>550079
"How bad is the injury?" is the call through the door.

550081

>>550077
Alright, with that taken care of, let's go meet somepony else. Who have I not talked to in a while?

550082

>>550077
Smirk.
"You bet I will!"

550083

>>550080
"Uh..I'm not injured, miss Heart. I'm Selena Springleaf, the alchemist, I was trying to meet everypony on board and wanted to introduce myself to you."

550084

>>550080
Bury my face in the underwear to cover up my blush.
"W-whaaa!"
and then blush even harder when I realize what I'm hiding in.
"A-are you sure he'll think its funny?"

550085

>>550081
Rusty Wrench

>>550082
Where to?

>>550083
"I keep to myself… sorry… Please just call me Heart. Or if you insist on being professional, Heart, M.D."

>>550084
"I'm an EXPERT on laughter! Relax!"

550086

>>550085
Alright, go find and talk to him. …What does he do, again?

550087

>>550085
"I-I don't know.. How are you gonna get him to take the potion? Tree-Sempai isn't stupid.."

550088

>>550085
Well, since Tela is not here… Eh, let's visit Face, it's been a while.

550089

>>550085
"Well, if you'd rather have your privacy, I respect that fully, Heart. I want to say I have great respect for you as a doctor and that if I can help you in some way, you simply have to call for me."

550090

>>550086
Chief of Engineering, Ciddir's direct superior in that regards. When Driftwood said you spoke with the second in command, he was referring to the alternate engineering command structure, in which Ciddir is the second highest ranking.

He's doing some routine polishing on the Darklantern.

>>550087
"Hircus volunteered to sneak it to him! He's in on the prank too!"

>>550088
Well, Flowing was with him drinking booze all night and I do not know how that will turn out. ANYONE else?

550091

>>550090
"Hello, Rusty Wrench. Mind talking for a bit?"

550092

>>550090
"P-prank, right.. I'm a fae after all I am totally fine with pranks!" laugh nervously.

550093

>>550090
I'm open to suggestions.

550094

>>550090
Fuuuuu!!

Where are we now? Report to Commodore Abilio.

550095

>>550089
"I just want my privacy… thank you."

>>550091
"Sure enough. What about?"

>>550092
"This first prank was fun. Right? RIGHT?"

She puts her face up directly next to yours.

>>550093
Perception check

>>550094
"Good evening Chip. Getting late, isn't it?"

550096

>>550095
!

Roll #1 8 = 8

550097

>>550095
"Okay, good day, Heart."

Mmm strange. Maybe I'll have to ask Chip sometime.

Anyway, Diamond Luck?

550098

>>550095
"Well… I'd kind of like to talk about Ciddir. He's a bit strange, but… I want to get to know him better."

550099

>>550095
"Pretty late sir." I yawn.

"So now that we have captured the place, what will we do? Wait for our sponsor to arrive here or should we head out?"

550100

>>550095
"I-I guess I feel happy, in a way. That means its was fun?" poke my head out from behind the underwear and give her a smile

550101

>>550096
Hey! Somepony is watching you! You turn around and they duck back into the aftcastle staircase.

>>550097
Diamond Luck is on deck treating anyone who was burned with aloe.

>>550098
"Sure then. What about? Specific question? Got time. Good people."

>>550099
"We're moving on to Shiba. Expect much tougher resistance there."

>>550100
She pats you gently on the head. "That's the spirit!"

With that, she sets you and your newly claimed underwear down in her room in the mansion and curls up on her bed. "You can stay here if you like or go, but I'm beat. I gotta sleep for tomorrow!"

550102

>>550101
"Hello, mister Luck. Can I help you?"

550103

>>550101
Stop and straigthen my back.
"Who's there? Show yourself!"

550104

>>550101
"I… sort of have trouble understanding him. Any advice to help with that?"

550105

>>550101
"G-good night Miss Puzzle."
'1d10' look for a nice place to sleep in here.

Roll #1 2 = 2

550106

>>550101
Sit next to him.
"Anything our sponsor said about Shiba besides it being tougher? Is it a militaristic port of some kind?"

550107

>>550102
"Oh, this is easy stuff. I already know the diagnosis before I treat. And yourself?"

>>550103
No answer! Better give chase!

>>550104
"Not really. Odd fellow. Good buck. Strange habits. Speak literally. Appreciate nature."

>>550105
The only comfy spots from your position look like on her bed with her… or sleep on sempai's underwear…

>>550106
"There's a copper mine there. We do know that it is the only place in all of Neighpon that has diamond dogs. They have a small, insular community there. Apparently they are runty but vicious."

550108

>>550107
Fly over there!
As quick as possible!

Roll #1 9 = 9

550109

>>550107
"I'm not a doctor, but Mr Hircus told me I was pretty good at treating him with aloe."

550110

>>550107
"So, uh… there anything in particular that he likes?"
I'm looking around for someone else to talk to when I finish here.

550111

>>550107
"I hope their eyes are not slanted as the other neighpons if not I may not be able to stop myself from laughing."
I then look at him.
"Any orders when we are able to dock in Shibu? Is looting forbidden? Should we kill anyone that resist?"

550112

>>550107
Gaah! I just need to hide this.. sempai's underwear somewhere. '1d10' find a drawer or something to stash it in.

Roll #1 10 = 10

550113

>>550108
Aha! You catch a menial stallion hiding around the corner!

>>550109
He chuckles. "I have no doubt he did. I meant is there something I can help YOU with?"

>>550110
How rude!

"Weird plants. Weird animals. Weird stuff. All really. Fixing stuff. That too."

>>550111
"We'll have to see when we get there, but again – looting military targets is fine, but spare all the civilians."

>>550112
You stuff it under HP's mattress. No one will ever think to look there!

550114

>>550113
"You there, stop right now."
Be stern.
Who the fuck are you, huh?
"Identify yourself!"
Officership!

550115

>>550113
Look myself over.
Do I still have some burn wounds?

550116

>>550113
O-okay! now I'll just float around deck and clear my head.. anyone still up here? '1d10'

Roll #1 3 = 3

550117

>>550113
Well, that's… actually really helpful.
…and I just thought of something.
Is Ciddir aboard the ship?

550118

>>550113
"Yes Commodore." I nod at him before stopping and thinking for a bit.

"So~….. how are you and Lucky?"

550119

>>550114
"The truth is… I'm your biggest fan! The whole reason I joined this fleet is because I heard about the fearsome and beautiful pirate officer who could shoot a fly from a thousand paces!"

He puts his hooves up in the air. He's a not-terrible-looking (not that you care) orange pegasus with a blonde mane.

>>550115
Nah, that Aloe got all over you because you were being sloppy. Looks like maybe Hircus was somewhat biased in his evaluation of your skills.

>>550116
Plenty! Hircus and Selena notable are around.

>>550117
He must be, since you're sailing.

>>550118
He laughs. "Oh, you know, we're trying for a foal."

550120

>>550119
Huh.
"I'm fine, mister Luck, I wanted to introduce myself to you, but I see you're busy so that might wait for another time."

550121

>>550119
Let out a short, amused laugh.
"Oh really? How did you hear about me?"

550122

>>550119
>>550120
T-those two are in on the prank.. I should see what they are doing.. float over to Selena first.
"Good evening!"

550123

>>550122
I smile.
"Hello, Manako, how are you?"

550124

>>550119
"Excuse me if this seems rude, but I just realized something I can do. Thank you so much, you've helped me so much. I owe you one!"
I take off to find Ciddir so I can-

…Selena is covered in aloe.
Oh, please don't let that problem show up again. '1d10'

Roll #1 8 = 8

550126

>>550123
probably still blushing.
"I'm doing okay. What are you doing Miss Selena?"

550127

>>550124
I did wash my hooves after treating you.

>>550126
"Going around, getting to know everypony on board, like doctor Luck here."

550129

>>550119
I smile.
"Wow, that is very good to hear Abilio. I mean I think Lucky is indeed lucky to have you."

550130

>>550124
>>550127
"Oh, I see. Perhaps I should meet some more ponies too. So they know who I am."
"Um.. did Happy Puzzle talk to you just now?"

550132

>>550127
>
>>550119
>all over you

>>550124
Looks like that's not a problem anyway! Off to find Ciddir!

550134

>>550130
"Especially as a doctor, that's important. Yes, she talked to me earlier."

>>550132
Seems like I was very enthusiastic.

550136

>>550134
Yes… distractingly so…

550137

>>550121
"Surely there are rumors of your legendary prowess in every port in Equestria!"

>>550120
"Aw, I didn't mean to scare you off, but I am on duty. Please, stop by when I'm free."

>>550124
"Yep sure."

You should be good.

550138

>>550129
"Yes, we're looking forward to it."

550139

>>550132
He's in his quarters. He looks up as you approach. "Oh! You returned. I have it ready."

550140

>>550137
"I definitely will. Goodbye, doctor Luck."
Trot a bit away on the deck with Manako.

550141

>>550134
"I see.. I did my best to help her with the operation on the captive. He will be okay now."
Sigh a bit. "So.. uh.. do you need any help from me? For that thing she mentioned?"

550142

>>550137
"Oh yeah? What have you heard?"

550143

>>550139
Pause as I try to remember…
"Oh! The blood. So… can I see it?"

550144

>>550141
"Oh you're in on it too?" I grin and wink.

550145

>>550138
I kept smiling and playfully nudge him on his side.
"So… what do you two plan for the future? I mean you did tell me back then that you have plans to retire but now you are a commodore… "

550147

>>550144
Nod and blush a bit rubbing my hooves together. "Uhuh. Selena-chan, can I tell you something?"

550149

>>550147
I nod.

550151

>>550142
"That while other shooters have to adjust for the wind, the wind adjusts for you!"

He bows at your hooves. "Please let me stay and bask in your glory."

>>550143
"I tried to make something you would find useful."

#Blood Dagger: Single; Can be consumed for health.
It looks like the blood is still alive and uncoagulated…

>>550145
"Well, I had hoped I could steer the fleet in a somewhat more legitimate direction. Maybe not cut out all the pillaging but try to stay on the down low for a while so we can recover."

550154

>>550149
"I'm not very good at pranks.. I never was.. but this.. I want this go well.. How long do you think Tree-Sempai will be a breezy?"

550155

>>550151
Eye him up.
"What's your name?"

550156

>>550151
"…Wow. That is… really cool, actually."
How does the dagger feel in my grip?
"Oh right. I actually have something to show you that you might find interesting."

550157

>>550154
"Well to be honest, I still need to research all of it, so I don't know yet. But I think the best thing would be to devise a potion and an antidote, so we can transform him back whenever we want."

550160

>>550157
nod slowly. "L-let me know if I can help."

550163

>>550160
"I definitely will, Manako. It's just a prank, I don't want things to go wrong, and I'm sure you don't want it either."

550165

>>550151
"Well to be honest I was worried at first that you will make us all merchants. As for your plan that is a good, better than my plan of going big or go home." I smile.
"I think just a few privateering with these neighpons will be enough to recover our losses right?"

550166

>>550163
Give a cheerful flutter. "Of course not!"
"Ah! Forgive me. I was interrupting your visiting the crew. I should go.. I want to see the one who brings back ponies.."

550167

>>550155
"Uhhh… Golden Bullet! No wait, um, Magic Wind… um… can I have a do over? Wait, I've got it, you pick my name!"

>>550156
It feels like it's made for a narrower hoof, but somehow you feel like you have a connection with it.

"Oh?"

550169

>>550165
"It will be enough to fund getting most of our old raiding parties back together. We'll be able to attack a town for real again."

550170

>>550166
"Of course, maybe we can talk a bit later, do you like tea? You can find mr. Scarab in the hold of the Darklantern, he's a bit…eccentric. You'll know what I mean."

550171

>>550169
I grin.
"That is good to hear."

"And you… ?"

550172

>>550167
"I found it on some guy who tried to kill us on the road. I don't know what it is, but… I thought you might be interested with it."
Show him the golden apple.

550174

>>550170
"Tea! Yes! I like tea. Tree-sempai likes tea too.. He was growing some.. I still need to work on something to help that.."
Shake my head and focus again. "Thank you Selena Chan. I will go there now." give you a bow.
>>550167
Go to the hold of the dark lantern.

550176

>>550174
"If you need help with that, maybe Ciddir can help." I say as she floats away.

550177

>>550167
Let out a laugh.
"You sure you want that?"

550178

>>550176
"Ciddir.. Oh? that deer I helped treat. Thank you!"

550180

>>550171
"What about me? I just told you my plans."

>>550172
He taps it with a hoof. Then he looks surprised and stares at it.

>>550174
Deep down in the dark of the hold is no place for a lone Breezie! You brave it anyway. There's a moving pile of muck down here.

>>550177
"I'm sure whatever you pick will be good enough for me!"

550181

>>550180
Let's see.
Next I want to see Ciddir to ask if he's feeling better.

550182

>>550180
Talk to the muck a little unsure.. '1d10' appraise it. "Hello?"

Roll #1 2 = 2

550184

>>550180
"How about…. whimp?"

550186

>>550180
I scratch my head and scrunch.
"No not that, I mean after we have rebuild the fleet do you plan to stay or will go with your plan to retire? I mean you have planned it for so long back then before the… " I turn silent.

550187

>>550180
"So… do you know what it is? I'm curious about that myself."

550189

>>550182
It's blob-like and amorphous. Occasionally you think you see an appendage almost surface, then sink back inside.

"Mmmmph?"

>>550181
You head to his room where Hircus is talking to him.

>>550184
"Sure, whatever you say!"

He doesn't even care that you are totally pronouncing wimp wrong.

>>550186
He laughs. "Trying to get rid of me?"

>>550187
"It's alive."

550193

>>550189
Nevermind, I'll talk later if Ciddir is busy.
I heard there was a Lacy Doily?

550194

>>550189
"Hello" look around harder, is something blocking his mouth? '1d10'

Roll #1 9 = 9

550195

>>550189
Blink. "Wow."
Take a closer look at it. "Does it… need to eat? should we water it? H…how is it alive? It's been with me for about a week, must have been plucked who knows how long ago."

550196

>>550193
Rumors of a maid take you to a strange white door on the black ship of the Darklantern.

>>550194
You're not sure where his mouth IS – it's buried deep below the muck with the rest of his body. However… you are starting to decipher his patterns of mmmphing you think… if you cared to spend time studying it, you might be able to learn what he's saying.

"Mph. Mmmmph mmmph mmm mmmph mm."

>>550195
"I don't know any of those. Apples eat sunlight, though."

550197

>>550189
Wimp, whatever.
"Heh, this could be fun. One thing, you might want to stop stalking me. That's a bit creepy."

550198

>>550196
Mmmm, walk in.

550199

>>550196
hoover here a while and study it. '1d10'
"I am Manako, I.. fix things, broken bones or broken boats."

Roll #1 9 = 9

550200

>>550196
"Sorry. I shouldn't expect you to know everything. Still… this is pretty amazing, is it not?"

550201

>>550189
I look away from him with a guilty yet comical smile.
"Nooooo~ no no no no you sly pony. If I become commodore it will be trough hard work and force of arms because I am that awesome!"

"and also I was just worried of the succession once you do get off ships one day that is why I have brought the topic and please dont kill me oh God."

550207

>>550197
"But you said you'd let me bask!"

>>550198
There's a whole mansion in here! It's enormous!

>>550199
"Mmmmph mmmm mmmmph mmmmpph."

You're starting to pick up on sentence structure… it's not Neighponese.

It's definitely a pony churning about below there.

>>550200
"It is surprising. This would be hard to create."

>>550201
"Hmph. Well, when I do leave eventually, if September is here, she'll make a good Commodore."

550209

>>550207
Wooooooooooow.
This must be the mansion Emrille talked about!
In what state is it, she said it needed some cleaning?

550212

>>550207
"Well yeah, but not all the time. Y'know I have twitchy trigger wingers."

550213

>>550207
'1d10' keep studying him.
"I'm sorry. Of course you're not Neighponese..
I'm Manako, A breezy. I have been trained in healing, and am self-taught in repair and production of mechanical things."

Roll #1 7 = 7

550214

>>550207
"I can imagine.
…I'm glad you like it."

550222

>>550207
"Ms. September. Well she is a hard worker I tell you and a bit cautious at that. Yes she will do. I mean think of how the crew will cause a riot if I become commodore" I smile.
"…. which I wont object."

Seeing him pout I look at him.
"Abilio my friend, dont worry. No one here is opposing your rule and your ways of doing business. You are a good leader sir and I am glad that you are willing to lead a rag tag group of misfits such as us and for me, that is good enough as it is."

550224

>>550209
It's pretty clean, but certain sections are completely boarded up and abandoned. You hear voices from the second floor.

>>550212
"Okay, okay… but for now, I'll follow you."

>>550213
Now that you have the clues of what to look for, and based on the context of the sentence, it's easier to tell what those mumbled sounds correlated to!

"The pleasure is mine, but I'd rather languish."

It was hard to figure out his mumbling because he speaks in such esoteric phrasing!

>>550214
He smiles at you. "Me too."

>>550222
"Well, technically according to the ancient laws of the fleet any captain or my first mate could succeed me, but if I'd leave with Cloudy, that would mean September, Emrille, and Marsh. Emrille could be commodore one day, I don't think she's ready just yet, though. Same with marsh."

550225

>>550224

Sneak up stealthily '1d10'

Roll #1 10 = 10

550226

>>550224
"What gave you this whole idea anyway?"

550227

>>550224
"Take good care of it, okay? For all we know, that is one of a kind.
Then again, I'm certain you'll take far better care of it than most."

550229

>>550224
give him a concerned look.
"Languish? Are you unhappy Mr. Scarab?"

550230

>>550225
There's a door open. All of Light Heart's kids plus Felix are being looked after in this room by Lacy Doily.

>>550226
"I heard you were the best, and I wanted to see it for myself! Say, what do you look for in a stallion?"

>>550227
He blinks in surprise. "I will. You want me to care for it for you for a long time?"

>>550229
He starts in surprise. "[p]Hmmm? A mere fae, and yet you understand me? Fascinating. I am Scarab. I am not often understood by foreigners to my oblique tongue. Do you too seek my powers of life and death?[/p]"

550232

>>550229
"Hmmm? A mere fae, and yet you understand me? Fascinating. I am Scarab. I am not often understood by foreigners to my oblique tongue. Do you too seek my powers of life and death?"

550233

>>550230
Oooooh, I didn't know they were here.
I suppose Light Heart wouldn't mind if I met them.
But be polite, knock on the door first.

550235

>>550233
The kids turn in interest, but Lacy distracts them and then comes to the door. "Yes?"

550236

>>550232
Giggle slightly. "I understand many things others do not. Pleased to meet you Mr. Scarab. I seek to understand, first. What you do, and what your needs are."

550237

>>550230
Clasp a hoof over his, look him in the eye and smile.
"Well, that's up to you, isn't it? After all, it's yours now."

550238

>>550235
"Hello, I'm Selena Springleaf, I heard you were here, and I wanted to meet you."
I pause a second.
"I didn't know you were caring for the foals however, is this a bad time?"

550239

>>550236
"I have come here to feign ablution and raise the dead. And I am all out of dead."

>>550237
"Is it? I thought it was yours?"

>>550238
"Kinda! I've got them the whole night. Some other time, maybe? Five kids is a handful…"

550241

>>550239
"Of course, some other time. And hang in there!"
I smile.

550242

>>550230
"I usually look for their heart. Or head. Or lungs. Those are the best targets to shoot "

550243

>>550239
"It was mine. Now, it is yours."
Blush and look away.
"If you want it, that is."

550245

>>550241
"Thanks. You too?"

And with that she shuts the door.

>>550242
"You know what I mean! What kind of stallions do you like? I want to make myself into a better pony for you!"

>>550243
He puts another hoof on top of the hoof you put on his hoof.

"I want what you want."

550246

>>550239
Stare at him for a moment processing what he said and then snicker. "Oh, I see. I can come back later then. I thought you might be lonely, or have some insight on life and death you were longing to pass on."

550247

>>550224
"I see, that is good to hear. At least I am in the know hows and wont be surprised once the succession came up.."
I then look at him.
"But if you do decide one day that it is time, I really would like to know Abilio. Perhaps we could share one last toast of Schnapp or rum for good health, what do you say?"

550249

>>550245
What a nice lady.
But I shouldn't meet LH's kids this way, there's a reason she keeps them in this mansion far away from the rest of the ship.
Take a look through the mansion.
On a whim I offered Emrille to help clean it, am I regretting that now?

550251

>>550245
Raise a brow with an amused smile.
"You're my biggest fan and you don't know?"

550252

>>550245
Put my other hoof on top of that hoof and smile at him.
"I want you."

OHFUCKIDIDNOTJUSTSAYTHATOUTLOUD!

550254

>>550246
"Mine is a self-imposed exile. But perhaps I will accept you as my pupil."

>>550247
"Perhaps. On that day, we may have something even better."

>>550249
Roll for regret! It is huge.

>>550251
He edges closer in anticipation. "Well, the stories were mostly about your amazing abilities."

>>550252
He sits down and puts a third hoof on the pile.

Roll for luck

550255

>>550254
'1d10-1'

Roll #1 9 - 1 = 8

550256

>>550254
Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit… '1d10'

Roll #1 3 = 3

550257

>>550255
or if 10 is huge regret then 1d10+1

550258

>>550255
>>550257
Your regret is maximum, in that case.

>>550256
"Okay. For what?"

Saved by the cluelessness, at least.

550260

>>550258
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Why did I open my mouth?
Wrrrryyyyyyyyyy

550263

>>550254
"Yes Abilio, something better for all of us."

I then stand up.
"It is late indeed and I think you may need to retire soon. Thank you sir for the time, I'll do my best once we reach Shibu." I salute.

550264

>>550254
"Oh, sort like.. If help you, you'll show me things? Maybe we could start with what would make your exile easier? Is there anything in your life that you find a struggle?"

550267

>>550260
Let this be a lesson to you!

>>550263
He salutes. "Dismissed."

>>550264
"No, I have chosen this exile to make myself miserable. That is why I have coated myself with muck. Truly there is no greater misery."

550268

>>550258
"…For a friend. I mean, for you to be my friend." Force a smile and try to hide my disappointment. '1d10'
Can I try again?

Roll #1 4 = 4

550269

>>550267
"Why do this to yourself? Exile is usually a great punishment reserved for the most dishonorable criminals.."

550270

>>550267
I wave some cool air with my hat.
This is going to be quite something….
Let's get out of here and think of something else.
Burnside, Strom spoke about him, I wonder who he is.

550271

>>550267
Leave and go and get some food/sludge and eat on deck for awhile.
brb in an 30 minutes

550278

>>550254
Hehehe.
This guy.
"Sorry to kill it for you, but I have a marefriend."

550282

>>550268
He looks surprised and dismayed.

"We are not already friends?"

>>550269
"Forsooth! Wherefore might you ask?"

>>550270
You sure get the vapors a lot!

Burnside is out on the deck with a giant eagle!

>>550278
He gives you a big smile, "But a pirate queen can't settle for just one lover, right?"

550283

>>550282
How big is it, compared to a ponoe?

550285

>>550283
Big enough to ride – which he is doing! Though he is currently "parked" on deck.

550286

>>550282
"Yeah, but even then, there's a slight problem with you."

550287

>>550285
What? And I never saw this?!?
Walk over but keep my distance, instead wave to him.

550288

>>550282
Tilt head "I am a fix-it breezy. I see a problem, and I just have to meddle around with it!"
The look a little sad "Its a terrible flaw really. Tree-Sempai will probably look down on me if he figures it out.. "
continue insistently "But I must know if I can help you! You help out everyone on this ship, its only fair that somepony helps you too!"

550289

>>550282
Brighten up instantly. "We are friends?"
Blush and look away. "Sorry. I have… worked alone for… a very long time. I am still not good at relationships. I apologize for offending you. I just… I very, very much wish to be friends."
"And maybe something more…"
Can I try to win him over again, or has that ship sailed?

550293

>>550287
You were so distracted!

He waves back at you.

>>550286
"What? I can change!"

>>550288
"Nay. I am content in my misery, your commiseration is enough."

>>550289
You can try again. It will be really clear if the ship sails either way. Most rolls will land on oblivious.

550294

>>550293
"What if.. I could find a way for you to be more easily understood? It must be frustrating to have nopony who understands you.."

550295

>>550293
Shout "That's a really awesome bird!"

550297

>>550293
Alright then.
"…I was lying." Look him in the eye. "I wasn't asking you to be my friend; you are already my friend. But… I was scared that… that you would not like what I was asking. That…"
Take a deep, steadying breath.
"I am… attracted to you. I am not content with mere friendship. I want… more."
Please let the charm be with me… '1d10'

Roll #1 2 = 2

550300

>>550293
Alright back
After eating, perhaps I can pester Ms. Lacy.

550302

>>550294
"It aids me in my exile. Were my colloquialisms so easily deciphered I would be incapable of carrying it on here. Thus the bitter dichotomy of the dialemma, you see? So juxtaposed the choice of true isolation regarded as noble or social isolation as a wretch."

>>550295
"Thanks! I think so too!"

>>550297
He frowns and looks disappointed. "I am sorry, I would not care for the company of one who claims to care for me and lies bold-facedly the same. Please take this back."

He hoofs you the golden apple.

550303

>>550300
You head into the mansion. Based on the voices upstairs you can tell she's babysitting five ponies.

550304

>>550302
'1d10'

Roll #1 4 = 4

550305

>>550303
Wait we have a mansion?
Anyway go and peek inside.

550306

>>550302
>>550304
Give an exhausted sigh. "Sir. My Equestrian is not that proficient. Do you mean that.. there is nothing here to fix? That you speak this way intentionally?"

550308

>>550302
"What's his name? Can I pet him?"

550310

>>550302
"…Heh. Guess I should have known better. Who could ever love a thief, right?..
Thank you for your time. I… won't bother you again."
Take the apple and leave with my tale between my legs and my head hung.

550311

>>550306
>>550304
"My apologies. Put plainly, I mean simply that if ponies communicated with me, it would not be much of an exile, would it?"

>>550308
"Hm. You pose a valid question. Haven't named him yet! Nope. Sure haven't. Tamed him two days ago. Go ahead and pet him though, I'm not just banging rocks together here: I know a thing or two about taming giant eagles. I learned two days ago."

>>550305
Yes! Remember that old mansion door that Landgrave had? Emrille salvaged it.

550312

>>550310
Sad end?

Where to?

550313

>>550311
omygoshomygoshomygosh
Pet bird '1d10'

Roll #1 7 = 7

550314

>>550312
I'll pause at the door, just in case he has anything else to say.

After that… I don't care.

550315

>>550293
"I doubt that."

550317

>>550311
Ah 'the' mansion.
Anyway what are they doing inside?

550319

>>550315
"What do you want from me, oh pirate queen?"

>>550317
Being babysat by Doily. On the second floor by the sound of it.

>>550314
You wander off in sadness. All you have to remember him by is this fucking sweet dagger made out of your own blood.

>>550313
What a nice giant eagle. He cocks his head at you but doesn't squawk or anything.

550321

>>550311
"Oh, I understand now.."
"I am currently employed as a healer on the Sirocco. So in a way.. its part of my job to make sure ponies do not visit you. I will do my best to keep both of our honor intact, by preforming my job." Give a bow.
"would you like me to leave you Mr. Scarab?"

550323

>>550319
"He's so gentle and time.
And you say you only caught him a few days ago?
You must be great with animals."

550326

>>550323
"Yes, well, I have a long history with animals, back when I first got involved with shower curtains more than fifteen years ago. Since that day I've been working with movers and shakers – world changers – and you know what? I think you've got what it takes. You're a world changer, too. Get mad! Get excited! You can DO this! YEAH!"

>>550321
You almost think you make out a faint smile beneath the muck.

"You may do as you please. What good is the exile of one if it hurts the other? I will remain here for if you need to speak to me. Perhaps one can still be exiled and miserable and talk to one or two."

550327

>>550319
What happens if I stab myself with it? Stab my leg to find out.

550329

>>550327
It is a fully functional dagger. It hurts. Roll damage.

550330

>>550319
"Get me a bottle of whiskey by the morning. For now, fuck off for the night."

550331

>>550319
Dayum, perhaps I cant pester her being this busy.
Go on deck, can I see any mare's in my scanning view?

550332

>>550326
"Aye! It would please me to see you again Mr. Scarab." flutter here a moment and then leave.

550333

>>550329
Good. At least it's a different kind of pain. '1d10'

Roll #1 7 = 7

550337

>>550330
"Alright… but we'll spend time together tomorrow!"

He heads downstairs.

>>550331
Mares up top, eh?

Well, that jenny September is at her helm.

Oh wait, there's Salty Slugs over there! He's not a mare but he sure likes the mares – he probably knows where all the action is! You thought he died or something!

>>550332
"Farewell, and please do not crack and fall. It should pain me to see your body bloodied and brought here for me to work on."

>>550333
30% damage sustained. You'll live.

550339

"I will use some of my healing on myself too! Don't worry too much." Go off to the deer, I haven't seen him since he took a bullet that day.

550340

>>550326
I raise my hoof.
"YEAH!"

550344

>>550337
I respect Ms. September too much.
Lets go meet Salty and wave.

550345

>>550337
…Pity. Just watch the hole bleed for a while.

550346

>>550340
"YEAH! THE WORLD IS YOUR OYSTER! YOU'VE GOT THIS!"

>>550339
He is in his room looking confused and a little hurt. Hircus is outside bleeding himself.

>>550344
"Aha! Now here's a man by my own heart! Come here, you! Welcome punch!"

He punches you. Punch back strongly to win his respect!

>>550345
Manako drifts by.

It looks like a mortal wound. Frankly, he's probably already dead and doesn't even know it yet.

Smile at her sadly. "Sorry Manako. I made a mistake, now I have to live with it.
Guess that's what I get for trying to find love."

550356

>>550350
You miss your cue entirely. You don't just miss the punch, you don't even think to take it. It's embarrassing and an awkward moment as he expects you to punch then finally just gives up waiting and continues talking. The moment is gone, nothing you can do about it now without making a bigger fool of yourself.

"Yeah… I guess."

Geez you feel terrible about this. Even he seems put out.

>>550352
"So fast! Shazam, wham! Hey, say, you want to ride along, world-changer?"

"So, have you gotten yourself a sweet neighponese mare? This island is crawling with them"

550364

>>550360
Aha! There are big leaves in Ciddir's room! You could grab one of those.

>>550361
He scoots back so you can sit up front and get the better view.

"Now you might hesitate before getting on a recently-tamed giant eagle. That's a fear reaction. Now, I'm not some science nerd expert, but I'd say anyone who calls YOU afraid is projecting. It's you and me against the world! I like your grit. Let's go!"

Stupid. I told Ciddir the truth, and when it didn't get through I panicked and lied.
I always lie; it's part of my job.

550392

>>550389
It's pretty loud.

"THIS DIVE DOESN'T APPEAR TO WORK WITH ALL SKELETON TYPES, SO TRY TO REMEMBER WHICH SKELETON IS YOURS IN CASE IT NEEDS TO BE SEWED BACK IN!"

Finally you come out of the dive in a thrilling loop before coming to rest on the deck.

>>550395
Giggle, completely overwhelmed.
"Wow, that was amazing, I never done something like that."
My heart is beating like crazy.

550397

>>550392
I raise an eyebrow.
"Really?"

550398

>>550394
"I'm a thief, Manako. I was taught from a young age to lie, steal, and deceive.
…because it's the only way to hide how pathetic and helpless your really are.
I'm not strong or tough. Deception is the only weapon I really have.
Something like that… You can't fix it overnight. I don't think I'll ever be able to stop. Even if I want to."

550399

>>550396
He gives you a friendly pat.

"I can tell you're married – to adventure!"

>>550397
"Have you not?"

He scrutinizes you.

>>550400
"Burnside. Burnside of Hamburgerburg!"

550403

>>550402
"Hm. Good."

550404

>>550398
"Well.. then lets focus on the other part.. You said you only had one shot?
That's not what life is. You know how many of my inventions backfired? And.." Look ashamed. "Even my healing magic has backfired.."
And then raise a hoof in determination. "But that isn't what life is. Life isn't just one mistake and you're done. You have to keep working. Until you fix all the kinks. Keep trying until there isn't breath in your body. If there is something you want, something you care about. You just can't give up because of one mistake!"
"Do you hear me Hircus?"

550405

>>550403
"… but not here in Neighpon. Damn I really should put more time on scouting them instead of fixing these rickety ships."

550406

>>550401
Recompose myself, but keep the stupid grin on my face.
"Nice to meet you. You're the fleets eagle tamer?"

550407

>>550405
"Sounds like you're hardly living life!"

>>550406
"No, no, I'm just a gunman. I just experience ADVENTURE as a hobby."

550408

>>550404
"…I can't. Not on my own.
But… maybe…"
Give you a pleading look.
"Would you… be willing to help me? I can't do it on my own."

550409

>>550407
"That's great. I like adventure.
You got any more planned?"

550410

>>550408
"Aye! I will help you!" Give a little animated cheer, and a firm nod. "I still think we should start with sake. If this fleet even has any left. We haven't been paid yet I don't think."

550411

>>550409
"Oh ho ho, you don't PLAN adventure."

550412

>>550407
"True true, I've been staying in the ship far more than I used too." I scratch my head.
"So tell me, where have you got your actions?"

550413

>>550410
"I don't usually drink…
but I think this calls for an exception.
And… Would you be willing to… talk to Ciddir for me? See if… if it's even worth trying? I don't want to hurt him by pushing for something he doesn't want."

550414

>>550412
"All over. But there's so much more to life than just mares. I've had all the best foods, and all the greatest contests of strength! IT IS A GREAT TIME TO BE A MAN!"

#Pause

550415

>>550411
My ears flicker.
"No…no, of course not…we'll just have to wait for it!"

550416

>>550413
Nod. "I'll speak to him and find out the truth of this matter."

550417

>>550416
"…Thank you. I was… being stupid.
It's… good to have friends like you."

550418

>>550414
"Hahaha yes thats the spirit!"

550419

>>550417
Sigh a bit relieved. and pat you on the shoulder snickering a bit. "Of course. I can't stand to see some-goat I worked so hard to heal dying over something like this."

550420

>>550419
Snort.
"I wasn't being that dramatic. I just wanted some pain to dull the ache in my chest.
Sounds silly now, but it worked."

550421

>>550420
Roll my eyes. "That's what the Sake is for idiot goat"

550422

>>550421
"Pain heightens your senses, alcohol dulls them. That's why I avoid it; when your a thief, dulled senses get you killed.
In this case, though, I'm willing to make an exception."

550423

>>550422
"You're safe here idiot goat, No one will harm you." '1d10' lead you off to where alcohol is kept and hope there is some left.

550424

>>550423
"…I know that in my head, but…
For as long as I can remember, I've lived knowing noplace was truly safe, that the only way to stay alive was to keep moving.
I know in my head I can trust you, but… I still catch myself looking for escape routes, sitting in the places it would be hardest to get stabbed in the back."
Drink up and hope I'm not a lightweight. '1d10'

Roll #1 6 = 6

550425

Shrug. "That sounds like a good way to survive. A useful thing to do.
I always see myself looking at things and wondering 'how does that work, and if I take it apart, what can I build with it' I can't change that. Its how I survive."

550426

>>550425
"…I survived by never letting anyone get close. I know now that there's a better way to live, but…
I don't know how to undo several year's worth of habits."
Another drink. '1d10'

Roll #1 6 = 6

550427

>>550426
"Maybe there is no way to undo it.. but to work around? Use you habits to protect the ponies, or goats or deer you care for?
Uh…
Once I found a tiny screw, it was too short to hold wood planks together like a bolt, and too narrow to keep the joints in place.. I wasn't sure what to do with it until I was working on a clock a year later, and this one little gear wouldn't stay in place.. and then I remembered this little screw, small and narrow. It was perfect for the job." I move my hooves along with this story, as if I were tinkering on the clock here and now. And then grin up at you.
"You see. You need the right parts, the right tools, for the right jobs."

550428

>>550427
"So you're saying that despite what I'm feeling, I might not be the right one for him? I… I guess that makes sense."
Drink '1d10'

Roll #1 7 = 7

550429

>>550428
"Sort of? I'm saying that. Everyone has their right place, and its not always easy to find it.
I don't know for sure about Cidir's feeling yet, so I can't say if you should give up, or were just trying a wrong approach, like twisting a screw the wrong way.
Does this make sense?"
You look pretty tipsy bro

550430

>>550429
"Perfect! Makes perfect sense… wonderful…
I don't know why I haven't gone drinking before. This stuff is amazung! Amazun. Heh.
But yer right, I need a new approach. Maybe… maybe from the back. Yeah! Nopony ever minds when I approach them from the back!"
Drink! '1d10'

snicker.
"Oh, Baka yagi. You finally seem to be getting it."

550432

"I wanna… I wanna nibble his ears. They're sust so… ear-y. Do ya think… do ya think he'd like that? That he'd start blushing and… and liking me if I did that?"

550433

>>550432
giggle "That seems a little forward if you ask me."

550434

>>550433
"Yeah, an' we want backward! I's gonna be him nibbling my ears!
Him nibbling… my ears…"
Trail off into space with a dopey grin, ears twitching as I stare off into space.

I'm slumped on the table, soon drifting off to sleep.
…I'm going to have a hell of a hangover in the morning, aren't I?

550439

>>550438
The morning comes too soon for us all. RNG how tired am I after all this? '1d10'

Ah, I make it back into Light Heart's cabin, just barely, and pass out somewhere near those wonderful mechanical parts.

550441

>>550440
Lucky. You left me passed out in the bar!
Good night.

550442

>>550441
A breezy can't lift a goat! What was I to do?

550443

I wake up from my hammock, stretch out, brush my hair 100 times….
Put on my hat and cloak.
Aaaah, time to go see LH, maybe we can have breakfast together!
Go knock on your cabin, I hope she's awake already.

550444

>>550443
Open up the door, looking slightly exhausted and disheveled.
"Mhmm? Ah, miss Springleaf."

550445

>>550444
"Hello, miss Heart. I didn't wake you, did I?"

550446

>>550445
"Oh no no… I have been awake for some time…"

550447

>>550446
"Oh..well I was hoping we could have breakfast together?"

550448

>>550447
I nod.
"Very well… a moment please."
Disappear back into my cabin for a few minutes. Then come back out once I'm looking perfectly prim and proper, closing the door silently behind me.
"Here I am."

550449

>>550448
I smile.
"Amazing. Are you sure you're not a magic-user too?"

550450

>>550449
"I am simply well practiced by now. Years of experience, you see."
I chuckle.

550451

>>550450
"It shows!"
Where are we going for breakfast?
The hold?

550452

>>550451
The messdeck. Probably the one on the Darklantern.
"I used to be surrounded by nobleponies… they have an eye for detail, so I spent a lot of time ensuring my appearance was up to par."

550453

>>550452
I think for a second.
"The nobleponies who lived in the mansion?"

550454

>>550453
I nod.
"Yes indeed. But even before that I often spent time among the nobility."

550455

>>550454
"Of course, what were they like, those nobleponies? Chip spoke very angrily of them."

550456

>>550455
I clear my throat, my tone changing somewhat.
"Let us just say that I did not shed any tears after losing them. Or, to put it more bluntly, they were insufferable snobs."

550457

>>550456
"They must have been, since they started that awful mutiny!"

550458

>>550457
"Yes… what do you know about the history of Equestria, miss Springleaf? Do you know who the leaders of the three pony tribes were?"

550459

>>550458
My ears flicker.
"….Uh….I remember Commander Hurricane. She was my hero!"

550460

>>550459
"Yes… As for the unicorn tribe, there was King Platinum. His daughter was one of the founding ponies of Equestria. The Platinum family was quite powerful for some time… but eventually the two alicorns came and took control of Equestria instead. Of course, not all unicorns agreed with this. It sparked a civil war between those loyal to the princesses and those loyal to house Platinum. The former group won, of course. House Platinum was then exiled from Equestria if I recall correctly."

550461

>>550460
I nod.

550462

>>550461
"Well, Landgrave, the owner of the mansion and former first mate here on the Darklantern, was actually the last living pony in the Platinum dynasty. Because he opposed the rule of the princesses and wished to gain control of Equestria once again, he worked together with our fleet. Mind you, he still looked down on most of the ponies here, which is why he was hated by most."

550463

>>550462
"…He wanted to take down the Princesses, with our fleet?"
I try supress a laugh.

550464

>>550463
>Princess

Celestia only.

550465

>>550463
>>550464
"I realize it may sound strange, but rest assured that it was not within the realm of impossibilities. The other noble ponies who lived in this mansion were Equestrian nobles too. He was essentially gathering more and more support. By aiding certain ponies to seize power he gained their loyalty."

550466

>>550465
"Then why did he mutineer against all of you if he needed all of you to go through with his crazy plan to take over Equestria?"

550467

>>550466
"Because the commodore was unwilling to help with his cause. Umlock however… he was more reckless than the careful Smitts. Landgrave pushed him into revolting and aided him by providing the resources needed. In return he would not only receive a better ally in Umlock as both the commodore and a dragon, but also all the riches from the island of Roads. A decent plan in theory… but foolish to execute nonetheless. The mutineers were fools. I do not grief for their deaths, as much as I used to respect some of them."

550468

>>550467
I snort.
"Good riddance to them. Being a traitor is the worst thing a pony can do! If hewanted to be commodore so much, he should have bought his own ships."
Stomp my hoof.

550469

>>550468
"That would have been preferable, yes. But these are matters of the past, there is no point in getting angry over it. In the end, they lost."

550470

>>550469
"Hmm."
Continue walking.
"Say, miss Heart, yesterday in the castle, you talked about mind control spores, what was that all about?"

550471

>>550470
"Hm? Oh…"
I chuckle.
"Just a minor incident that occured some time ago…"

550472

>>550471
"But I wanna knooooow~" I coo

550473

>>550472
"Interested in acquiring them, perhaps?"
I chuckle again.

550475

>>550473
"Maybe. Depends on what they do."

550477

>>550475
"As the name implies, they were able to 'control' the mind of a pony, as it were. To the point where they were able to put us against each other."

550478

>>550477
"Dear, that must have been nasty!"

550484

>>550478
"Quite. Curiously, master Wark was unaffected. If not for him… well, the others and myself would likely not have been here."

550489

>>550484
"If we some of those spores and find some kind of antidote for ourselves to make us immune, we'd have a great way to force ponies to surrender without fighting!"

550492

>>550489
"I'm afraid that they were lost. This was back in Autumnsreach and we are likely not welcome there any longer."

550495

>>550492
"Ah…"
Bite my lip.
"Shame."
We must be at the hold by now, get some bread and nom nom.
"I've gotta say, I'm glad we got out of that castle in one piece. These Neighponese are really determined to stop us."

550496

>>550495
"No… they did not wish to stop us. Aside from the traps that were set, we met no resistance. They simply wanted to make us pay for it."

550498

>>550496
"But what about the old pony? He almost died to kill us."

550500

>>550498
I chuckle.
"One pony is hardly what I would call a resistance force. Even if he had killed us, the castle and town were secure."

550503

>>550500
"It wasn't that there were many.
It was that he was old, he really wanted to die to kill us."

550507

>>550503
"Ah… well some ponies love their homes very much."

550509

>>550507
I frown.
"Old ponies shouldn't have to fight like that. I think it's cowardly of those neighponese to let old ponies and foals fight for them why they snuck away."

550511

>>550509
"I assume the old pony wished to stay. As for the child… he may have been an orphan."

550515

>>550511
"Hmmmph. At least they are still alive, that's important."

550518

>>550515
"To have our healers hit like that… that was a stroke of bad luck. But yes, nopony died and the port is secured. One down, two to go."
I smile.

550519

>>550518
Drink some milk, if we got that.
"Do you know anything about the other ports?"
Gotta go for a bit, more later?

550520

>>550519
"I know that they will not be as easy to take as this one. They will be well defended. One of them hosts a manufacturer of weaponry, in fact."

He looks up in your direction as you approach.

>>550529
"Don't be difficult about this, I was here first. We've got literally an entire ship for you to stand on."

550531

>>550530
"Yeah, but this part's dark, and my head hurts.
Look, let's just share for right now, all right?" Schooch over to make room for him.

550532

>>550530
"Good day Ciddir. I would like to talk to you if you have a minute." '1d10' appraise him, maybe I can notice something.

Roll #1 5 = 5

550533

>>550531
"I don't think you can handle your drink."

>>550532
He looks like a deer. He's studying you intently.

"How do you know?"

550534

>>550533
A deer is a deer I suppose.
"How do I know what?"

550535

>>550534
"That it will be a good day? It just started."

550536

>>550533
"I don't drink. Ever. Last night was just… I was stupid and let myself get talked into it. Now I remember why I don't."

550537

>>550535
Laugh. "Oh, well. In neighponese, its proper to give a full greeting, so it would be odd if I said anything less than 'good day' Mr. Ciddir!"
"Um.. do you remember when I healed you? And that goat that gave up his blood for you?"

550538

>>550536
"You shouldn't carry around valuables when you're too drunk to remember anything anyway."

>>550537
"Yes I remember that. I gave the blood back later, though."

550539

>>550538
!!!
Check my pockets! What's missing?

550540

>>550538
Blink in surprise. "Gave the blood back? What exactly happened between you two last night?"

550541

>>550539
Rolling if I need to. '1d10'

Roll #1 4 = 4

550542

What's up?

550543

>>550539
>>550541
Nothing is missing.

>>550540
He blinks at you. "Yes. There was not anything between us though that would have made it hard to talk if we were on the opposite side of something."

>>550542
Morningtime is here.

550544

>>550543
It's morning already?
Face should be free then.

550545

>>550543
Good morning then!

I'm sure my night was filled with lesbian sex!

550546

>>550520
Nod.
"I doubt they'll give it up as easy as this city then."

550547

>>550543
Really? Make sure I still have my grenades, my blood dagger, my blackjack, and my golden apple.
Give the guy a suspicious look. "Why did you bring that up?"

550548

>>550543
Time to meet Wrench.

550549

>>550543
Lean on the counter.
"I took some of your leaves last night.. Ciddir.. Hircus was testing out some weird dagger.. on himself.. right outside your room.."

550550

>>550546
"That is why you must mentally prepare yourself. It will likely be… rough."

550551

>>550550
"Mentally prepare myself, right…I'll do that. Maybe just try to enjoy these little moments of peace we have."

550552

>>550544
Then go seek him out!

>>550545
With both kinds! One, then the other.

>>550547
"I rifled your pockets earlier when you were out. I have an incurable sense of curiosity."

>>550548
He is rappelling from the main mast, which is extremely odd for a buffalo. He's also doing repairs.

>>550549
"Where else would he keep it?"

550553

>>550552
I believe I was chatting with Face, about…
"Eight at a time?"
Raise a brow in disbelief.

550554

>>550552
Fly up there.
Tip my hat.
"Hello, mister Wrench."

550555

>>550552
I go and visit him then!

550556

>>550552
Oh. He's one of those types…
"I was… not using good judgement last night. Screwed up, then let that mistake be used as an excuse to make this one."

550557

>>550551
I nod and munch on my food for a while.
Enjoying the quiet after a loud night for a moment.

>>550552
Oh yes indeed.
How about I go try and find Driftwood again? Haven't met him after he wasn't answering last time.

550558

>>550552
"Ciddir.. are you sure nothing happened last night? I mean.. The goat didn't try to give you anything, or tell you anything important?"

550559

>>550557
Nom nom nom.
"You know, it's not bad….for ship food."

550560

>>550559
I chuckle.
"Now you are simply being too nice."

550561

>>550553
"Oh, it certainly sounds nice, but it was work, you know. The uh, Daimyo of Awa? He wanted to give Abilio a gift of eight of his court whores. Well, I had to dress up as him and pound them until they were too expended to continue, and let me tell you, that is not comfortable in hoof extensions."

>>550554
"Good mornin'."

>>550555
Apparently he's sleeping in this morning.

>>550556
"You're very amusing, did you know?"

>>550557
He's ordering some repairs on the second deck of the Hourglass.

>>550558
"He said we weren't friends, then he said he was lying to me, then he asked to be my mate. It was very disorienting."

550562

>>550561
"Am I now?" My irritability is starting to show.
"Why do you say that?"

550563

>>550561
Chuckle.
"Did they require you kept a tricorne on?"

550564

>>550561
Nod firmly. "I see what happened. He got nervous and stumbled on his words. You see. That happens when you have strong feelings for some-deer.."

550565

>>550561
Lick my lips and let out a loud whistle.

550566

>>550560
I chuckle.
"I really do find it better. Or maybe my taste buds have finally decided to kill themselves. Either way, works for me."

>>550561
"Let me introduce myself. Selena Springleaf, alchemist aboard the Sirocco."

550567

>>550561
Approach him with grace!
"Good morning, mister Driftwood."

>>550566
"Well either way… once the money flows in again, it will be even better."

550568

>>550567
"Ooooo, maybe we'll even be able to afford fresh vegetables."
Clop my hooves in glee.

550569

>>550563
"No, but I opted for it to help hide the smearing makeup. I'm not the same color as him."

>>550564
He looks aghast. "Tiny bug ponies can see the past?"

>>550562
"You're very centrally foccused, aren't you? You're willing to share the dark with me and even accept that I've gone through your pockets but you'd rather talk about yourself and how miserable you are than ask who I am. Not that I'm complaining, I just think you're funny."

>>550565
"Eh? Whossat?"

>>550567
"Mornin'. What can I do ya for, Heart?"

>>550566
"Okay then. Seen ya. Walkin' about. What's up?"

550570

>>550569
Lough it up.
"Next time, you should call in help for such grave matters!
Always ready to give a hoof where it counts."

550571

>>550568
I nod.
"I do hope so, I miss the taste. I am sure fish and meat will also be on the menu for us."

>>550569
"I was hoping you would have the time for a chat. I do not believe we have properly met."

550572

>>550570
"If they wanted just anypony I could've done without the costume. You probly know better than most that it's rude to refuse a daimyo's gift, and we really need this money."

>>550571
"Spose not. I remember you made it out of Roads in one piece, that's some accomplishment."

550573

>>550569
"Rise and shine, Face."

550574

>>550569
Blink at that. I've never thought of it that way, but now that he says it…
"…I've worked alone… been alone… for a long time. Staying centrally focused kept me sane.
Still, you're right; I'm being rude. What's your name?"

550575

>>550572
Wave a hoof away.
"Of course, t'was a jest.
The story seems so surreal though, I'm having troubles picturing nine ponies piled up on each other all at once."

550576

>>550569
laugh suddenly. "No, Not exactly."
Then thoughtfully "Well, maybe one or two can. But not more so than a normal pony."
Move my front legs in an excited dismissive way. "Anyway. I wanted to know. Do you feel anything different for the goat Hircus?"

550579

>>550571
I grimace with my tongue out.
"Bweh. I know it's for the dogs and the griffons and all but bwéh."

>>550569
"Well I wanted to see what you were doing up here."

550582

>>550572
"As did you, no? I think given the amount of survivors, that is an accomplishment for anypony who was there. It was a very ghastly battle indeed, we should be proud to have at least survived it and did not sucumb to that ridiculous mutiny."

>>550579
Give her a look.
"I would advise against not eating it. The cook has quite the temper."

550586

>>550573
"Whaddya want? I don't have to wake up before I'm on duty. It's in my contract."

>>550574
"I can tell we're two birds of a feather. By the way you breathe, by the way you move. A rogue like me. I'm Spook of the Underwalk."

>>550575
He guffaws. "Oh, you think I had to take them all at once? No, they were very patient. Divide and conquer I always say. I took them in pairs."

>>550576
"Different from what? From before? From others?"

>>550579
"Workin' mast. Gotta sail. Coating's cracked. Freshening up."

>>550582
"Yeah. But really I guess the reason we never spoke hardly two words to each other is that we pretty much have nothing else in common since Stein left. He was a good ram."

550589

>>550586
"You don't have to, but I thought you liked talking to pretty mares."

550590

>>550586
"Yes, do you feel.. something special about him? Something you don't feel for anypony else?"

550593

>>550586
"Ah… yes, mister Stein. I was unaware you were familiar with him."

550594

>>550586
Log(n) complexity.
Smart.
"Most astute.
Applying war tactics to a battlefield.
But enough of this, I can understand how it's not your favorite topic."
Sit somewhere.
"What's the true Face like?"

550596

>>550582
Perk a brow.
"Seriously"
Look over towards the cook, with a concerned expression.

>>550586
"Right, right, lots of work!"

550598

>>550586
"The Underwalk? Color me impressed. I'm Hircus. Never stayed in one place long enough for a title."
Refresh my memory what the Underwalk is?

550602

>>550596
I nod.
"Oh yes, quite serious. He can get very upset over ponies wasting his food… There are… other rumors as well. But I should not worry you with those."

550604

>>550602
[sweating intensifies]
"L-like what?……I can handle it."

550607

>>550604
"Are you certain? You cannot unhear what you hear."
Motion her to come closer with a hoof.

550610

>>550607
Lean closer with a deeply concerned expression
"Yes?"

550612

>>550589
"Talking to pretty mares is my job! Just tell me what you want."

>>550590
"I don't know. It is all very foreign."

>>550593
"Eh, we worked together a bit. I've been in the corps a long time."

>>550594
"Oh, two beers in and you already want to talk to the 'true' Face? Well, what's the true Flowing Tree, then?"

>>550596
"Right right. Want something?"

>>550598
You would only have heard of it if you've been to the Island of Roads, have you?

"Pfff. Don't put stock in that. If I wanted to impress you, I'd give you my impressive title, but I'm not a bragger, which is the whole reason I didn't. You can put money on that."

550613

>>550612
Snicker.
"I don't know, just have a chat? It's been a while."

550615

>>550612
Smirk.
"I've not decided yet."

550616

>>550612
"You don't know? Uh.. do you feel happy when he's nearby? Like in a way that's not logical, that you can't explain?
Would you be sad if he died? "

550617

>>550612
"Well, I was hoping we could have a talk, get to know each other. But you seem very busy. Perhaps another time?"

550619

>>550612
"All the easier for black hooves to snatch." Smirk knowingly at him. I like this guy. He understands.
I've been all over, so… maybe I've been to the Island of Roads once or twice?

550620

>>550610
Look around conspiratorially, then inch closer and whisper.
"Some say that during times of famine, ponies who do not eat all of his meals sometimes disappear…"
Try not to snicker as I say the next part '1d10'
"… I for one found a pegasus feather in my bowl of stew the other day."

>>550612
"Ah, of course, the engineering corps. Are you… aware that mister Stein is no longer in the realm of the living?"

Roll #1 2 = 2

550623

>>550620
Rolling for wits.
+2 since she snickered '1d10+2'

Roll #1 5 + 2 = 7

550625

>>550620
Stare at you for a few seconds.
Then snicker.
"Get outta here."

550629

>>550623
>>550625
I keep snickering.
"I am merely practicing my spooky stories to tell to the children."

550630

>>550613
"Alright you bellyacher, come in then.

He's splayed out on his bed and makes no effort to look dignified.

>>550615
"You don't have many more years to decide on that. Less you chat with the Commodore, maybe. Not really sure how that works…"

>>550616
"Hmm.. I would be sad if he died."

>>550617
"Perhaps then." He nods.

>>550619
It's a series of labyrinthine sewers used by thieves, rogues, and other "undesirables" to get around in the great city of Roads.

"You seem to put a lot of stock in how you were raised. You should be your own pony. Or goat, I guess."

>>550620
"Geez, that's kind of a harsh way to put it isn't it? No, I hadn't heard his ultimate fate, but I guessed everyone who we didn't see after Roads was… outta fuel."

550631

550632

>>550630
"Okay, goodbye mister Wrench."
Fly back down.
Okay, now, Slugs?

550633

>>550630
Enter.
"Wow, you look like shit."

550634

>>550630
Scratch my head. "Uh.. well that's something at least. Would you be sadder if he died, than if somepony else died?"

550635

>>550630
"My apologies, I meant no offense. I held much respect for him, he was a genius tinkerer and a friend."

550637

>>550630
"Why do you think I signed up? This isn't your typical heist.
I guess… the reason I put so much stock in my upbringing is because… it's the only thing that kept me alive. If he hadn't taken me in, I'd have starved in the streets.
…and then they went and stabbed me in the back."

550641

>>550629
Make a mock angry face.
"Miss Heart! How could you!"
Then snicker.

550642

>>550631
"Oh what? Oh the Commodore?"

>>550632
At this hour he's probably serving breakfast…

>>550633
"Takes shit to know shit I guess."

>>550634
He frowns. "I don't want anypony to die!"

>>550635
"Yes, pity to lose 'im."

>>550637
"See, that's such a backwards way of thinking if you ask me. Are you sure you would've starved without them? Maybe without them you end up finding your own way and never get backstabbed. It sounds like most of the stuff that messed you up comes from how you got ruined by bad folk. So why venerate them?"

550643

>>550642
Sigh. "Have you ever had a crush on somepony?"

550644

550645

>>550642
Snort.
"Heh. Got shitfaced last night or what?"
Take a seat somewhere.

550646

>>550641
I chuckle.
"I am as guilty as I am white."

>>550642
"Hmmm… this does remind me… I do still have his lightning sword in my cabin. I know it was very dear to him, but I am not certain what to do with it. As for now I am merely keeping it as a memento to him."

550648

>>550642
"Because they gave me something to live for!" I snap, snarling at him.
"I would have starved without them because I'd decided there wasn't a point in living anymore!
They gave me a purpose, a goal, a reason to keep getting up each day and try to learn!
They gave me a… a family…"
Slump back and hang my head.
"…And then they took it all away."

550649

>>550642
Oh I can do it while I'm faffing with LH then in a second.

>>550646
"I saw your kids the other day, I wanted to talk to miss Doils but she was busy tending to them, so I decided not to distract her."

550653

>>550649
"Ah yes, she was looking after them while I was… occupied with other matters."
I chuckle.
"I do not believe you have been properly introduced to Rosemary either."

550654

>>550643
"I try to avoid it, as I am peaceable by nature."

>>550644
"Eh, he's been dabbling in advanced magics for the past year and a half or so. Age magic, that sort of thing. I don't care for it. Unnatural. But he seems very interested in his studies."

>>550645
"Yeah, right here I suppose. Yourself?"

>>550646
"Probably what it belongs as."

>>550648
"I'm guessing you didn't die right away when they took it back, did you? No? Well then that means you didn't need them. Maybe you're stronger for coming out the other side."

550655

>>550654
"Do I look like I got drunk last night?"

550656

>>550654
face hoof.
"Ciddir. What I'm trying to ask is. Could you love Hircus? Its very important, because the poor goat was suicidal thinking you hated him."
'1d10' can I notice anything at all about his reactions.

Roll #1 10 = 10

550657

>>550654
"Do you not think he would have liked to have his creation used for something more?"

550659

>>550654
"If I will die, it won't be of old age.
Take that from the real Flowing Tree."
Take a long breath, relaxing myself.
"Nature, you say?"

550660

>>550653
"Not yet, I'd love to talk to her sometime.
She seems very sweet."

550664

>>550654
"…Maybe I am, but… the wounds still haven't healed. I need other ponies' help to move on…
…but when they left… I lost the only ponies I ever trusted. Trying to learn how to trust again has been… difficult."

550665

>>550655
He chuckles. "You always look like you got drunk."

>>550656
He thinks about it a long time. "Maybe. If he was honest and did not lie."

He seems thoughtful. Not sure what you're looking for here. He doesn't appear deceptive.

>>550657
"Probably. Iunno if anyone here can make something that would use it… maybe that Breezie…"

>>550659
"Nature. All around us. What about it?"

>>550664
He muses. "I'm a bit biased here, but the most successful thieves – or any ponies, really – are the ones who are honest with each other. Take that from an honest thief."

550666

>>550665
Smile, softening up.
"One of the few things I can still marvel at."

550669

>>550665
"Hey, what's that supposed to mean?"

550671

>>550665
"An honest thief? Really? That seems like an oxymoron to me. Our whole line of work relies on deception."

550673

>>550665
"Miss Manako? … Hmm, you raise a very good point indeed. She is very industrious when it comes to such tinkering."

>>550660
"Quite so. She does tend to be… focused. On me, that is."

550674

>>550665
"Alright. That's what I needed to ask." pause. "He really does care for you, he just has some trust issues."
"Thank you for telling me."
I was looking for the look or at least a look of concern or something.

550676

>>550665
Oh, and with that. I will bow respectfully and exit.

550677

>>550666
"Can't disagree."

>>550669
"Whaddya think it means?"

He gives you a teasing smile.

>>550671
>>550671
"Tch. See? You really got messed up if you can't even think of a different way of doing things. And besides, bards are the real liars. The only lies a good rogue makes are lies of omission!"

>>550673
"I seen her workin' on stuff. She might have an idea."

>>550674
He's not in love with you!

"Okay. Farewell."

550678

>>550677
"You ever tried meditation?
It's an old practice laughed as foolished by most ponies."

550679

>>550677
What time is it btw?
Also where are we?

550680

>>550673
"She did stick close with you all the time in the castle. You two must be very close together."

550681

>>550677
"I don't know, is it a compliment or a diss?"

550682

>>550677
But I had just told him the goat he maybe loves tried to commit suicide..
I will bow respectfully and exit. Time to go find Hircus and hope he didn't fall off the boat or something.

550684

>>550677
I nod.
"I will bring it up with her. She seemed quite captivated when I spoke of mister Stein before. Thank you, mister Driftwood. I will let you get back to work now."

>>550680
"Yes… we have been through quite a lot together. I value her greatly as my partner. As I do with all my associates."

550685

>>550684
"Mister Wark too, I take it."

550686

>>550685
"And miss Puzzle. They are among my oldest allies at the moment."

550687

>>550677
"…That explains it then. I'm a trickster, a mix between a bard and a rogue. Maybe that's why I can't stop lying.
…But I like what I'm hearing. You're right that I'm messed up…
Would you maybe… be willing to teach me?"

550688

550689

>>550686
"Mister Wark always seems so cranky…"

550690

>>550677
>>550682
I'm with Manako on this, you're being stupidly oblivious considering she critted.

550692

>>550678
He gives a smile. "In my own way."

>>550679
Morningtime, sailing to Shiba.

>>550681
He dismisses you with a wave. "Take it how you want. What're you after anyway?"

>>550684
"Sure thing. Later."

>>550687
"Eh, sure. But if you're going to learn from somepony, you have to know their biases. Understand them so that you can choose what to take into yourself. So here, first you have to see this."

He pulls back the collar of his outfit, revealing a golden necklace. It seem extremely magical.

"I'm the current Element of Honesty."

550693

>>550692
Haha now lets pester Ms. Lacy!

550695

>>550692
Raise a brow.
"Seems mysterious."

550696

I think I was talking to Abilio!

550697

>>550692
Shrug.
"Dunno, can't I just talk with somepony without wanting anything?"

550699

>>550690
You haven't really succeeded at making him grow toward loving you, though. If he was longing for you at all hours, it wouldn't matter if you were a liar. Some loves bloom quickly, other loves must grow slow and strong.

>>550693
She's dusting about the mansion.

>>550695
He gives a teasing nod. "I just mean napping."

>>550696

>>549941

>>550697
"Maybe it's just my line of work that's made me cynical, but I'm not sure you can. Alright, then, what'd you want to talk about?"

550700

>>550692
That was good.
Hm… how about the last doctor I haven't met yet? Diamond Luck is his name I believe.

550701

>>550692
"…You're shitting me."
All my life, I've known for a fact that rogues are liars and deceivers, that trickery and falsehoods were the only way we could survive. A rogue earning the Element of Honesty is a laughable impossibility.
…Yet there it is.
That cracking sound? That was my entire worldview shattering into a thousand pieces.

550702

>>550689
I chuckle.
"He has improved on that front, believe it or not."

550703

>>550699
"Oh well.
To each his own, I guess."
Smile back.
"It's been nice chatting with you, Face.
But I think I have a hen to entertain now."

550704

>>550690
Float over to where you are. provided I can find you '1d10'

Roll #1 3 = 3

550706

>>550700
He was up on deck all last night treating wounds with aloe, he's probably in his office now.

>>550701
"Nope, I wouldn't lie to you about that. You can't steal one of these."

>>550703
"Get on then. Have fun."

550707

>>550704
You can't find him! He must be hiding in the shadows somewhere. You need a successful search check.

550709

>>550699
"Hey, y'know, if you have some spare gold lying around I can take it off of you."
Smile proudly.
"Well, remember how I asked you for some diplomacy coaching and shit? It turned out to work. Abilio said I could be a captain in the future."

550710

>>550707
'1d10' searchy time.

Roll #1 10 = 10

550711

>>550706
Nod to him and off I go.
But before that…
I need to see the Commodore.
Unless he's 'celebrating' aswell.

550712

>>550702
I chuckle.
"There was a donkey in Dawnwood, makes Wark seem like the most cheery donkey in the world."
Swirl my drink.
"He can fight very well, Wark. He held his own against all those ponies when the ship boarded us."

550713

>>550706
Knock knock.
"Doctor Luck?"

550715

>>550710
Your Breezie senses are tingling! There he is in the shadows with an earth pony!

>>550709
"Hey, not bad. He sure is the same old nepotistic codger he's always been. I bet you'll inherit that."

>>550711
It's late, you should sleep, as he is.

>>550713
"Mmm? Comon in… I can't sleep, insomnia."

550716

>>549941
"Yeah… I guess you're right."
… I hope he's right.
"Thanks commodore. I ought to stop yammering already and leave you be."

550717

>>550715
Claim that feathered booty for the night.
Drop in on her, where is she?

550718

>>550715
>>550701
"Hey! There you are!" hoover excitedly.

550719

>>550699
Go and approach her.
"Still working up till now after babysitting all those foals."

550720

>>550712
"Oh yes, certainly. He is an extremely skilled warrior. Always has been ever since I met him."

>>550715
Enter.
What's his office like?

550722

>>550717
Probably in the bunkhouses somewhere. At her old nest, maybe.

>>550716
"Good night, Tela."

>>550719
"Well, the job is actually easier if you keep at it before letting dust accumulate."

>>550720
It's very spartan due to funding cuts. One chair and one table. His table has a deck of cards spread out on it but that's it. "Miss Heart? Don't you have two private doctors? Looking for a third opinion?"

550724

>>550722
I chuckle.
"Private doctors? I am not their sole patient, I assure you. No, I was simply hoping for a chat. We have not talked much, as far as I know. And… perhaps I am looking for an opinion as well."

550725

>>550722
I'm going back to Scarab… got interrupted last time we were talking.

550726

>>550722
Hop down there and find her.
'1d10'

Roll #1 7 = 7

550727

>>550722
"Ah, I see better keep it clean now than for later."
I slowly approach her from behind and observe her while she is working.
"Say, if you are tired perhaps we can grab something to drink and know each other more."

550728

>>550706
"I…"
Throw myself at his feet.
"Teach me. Please."
>>550718
Kinda getting a whole new worldview here!

550729

>>550715
"Me? Never~"

550732

>>550728
Stare at this scene. "Uh… I'll be in happy puzzle's room if you need me.."
fly away.

550733

>>550724
"Well then. Care to play while I diagnose?"

>>550725
He is deep down in the Darklantern. When you approach, he wipes off his mouth again.

"You've returned. Perhaps I've yet to drive you off entirely."

>>550726
She IS indeed in her nest, cooing softly as she's asleep.

>>550727
"Well… I suppose a little break wouldn't hurt too much."

>>550728
He nods. "I can hardly turn down so willing a student, can I?"

>>550729
"You know, he's starting to get gray streaks isn't he? Maybe he should turn that age ray on himself."

550734

>>550732
HP!

You zoom into the mansion and see Chip and Lacy Doily in the foyer.

550736

>>550733
Look at the cards and nod.
"Of course, I am very fond of card games."
Sit down.
"I trust you are aware of my heart condition."

550738

>>550733
"Or maybe he likes being old."

550739

>>550733
Well, I did promise her.
Trot over there and wake her up with a kiss.
Down there.

550740

>>550736
He laughs. "Well, you certainly don't hide it at all. You must be put out that Ruxiang is gone, right?"

550741

>>550733
I smirk.
"Can't get rid of me that easily. Not with riddles or stench."

550743

>>550738
"Heh, maybe… I guess I hadn't thought of things that way. He's so… excited to experiment with unnatural stuff."

>>550739
She awakens with a gasp and turns her head around in a whirlwind.

"Oh! Oh… it's you…!"

>>550741
"A riddle, was it? Then perhaps you've come for the solution."

550744

>>550740
I cock my head.
"If you are referring to my medical supplies, I will have you know I purchase those myself. Perhaps I could even coax miss Springleaf in learning how to produce them onboard."
What kind of game is he wanting to play?

550745

>>550734
Chip and Who? I guess I need to meet this pony.
"Good day. I am Manako. A breezy recently employed on the Sirocco."

550746

>>550743
"You think he ever turned himself into a girl?"
Snicker.

550747

>>550733
Perhaps lead her to a more comfortable area and maybe I can fetch some water for her. Any liquor or food in this mansion?

550748

>>550743
"I did tell you I'd come for my reward."
Climb onto the nest with a smirk.

550750

>>550744
He deals you in. Based on the cards, it's simple blackjack.

"No, no, I figured you were on the good stuff that I made with Ruxiang for Tallow. You never tried it? Later after the Eagle's Roost parted ways for our separate venture, I showed Doc peg the recipe so he could make it with Ruxiang."

>>550745
"Oh, hello there? My but you're awful tiny…"

>>550746
"Based on his modus operandi, he probably got a bunch of unwitting guinea pigs and turned them all into mares, then just sat there and watched them to see if he could take notes or something. If he has that magic, I mean. I know Light Heart pilfered this altar once…"

>>550747
This place is looted to hell and back. You'll be lucky to find crumbs. Manako just showed up.

>>550748
She cozies up next to you.

"… Claim it from me.~"

550752

>>550750
"Yeah, I got turned into a stallion by that. Not on purpose, this was back then when it was still down in the temple."

550753

>>550750
"… Ah, that. No, I have not used it in some time…"

550754

>>550750
Perfectly good with fading, this is not the reason I'm here.
While cuddling after the fact, I will talk again.
"I don't know your name yet."

550755

>>550750
giggle. "Yes. Tiny but strong. I am trained as a healer, and have also helped with repairs. I don't think I've had to pleasure of meeting you?"

550757

>>550750
I look at her.
"They really did a number on this place. Doesnt this place got anything we can eat? Or perhaps drink?"

550760

>>550754
"Kara Coldwind."

FTB

>>550753
Hm… two and a jack.

He deals himself one face down and one ace.

>>550752
"Sounds like a run of bad luck to me."

>>550755
"Well, I just recently joined…"

>>550757
"Maybe the kitchen can be salvaged after we get some more money…"

#Pause

550762

>>550760
Yeah, Fuck That Bird.

550764

>>550760
"I see, well that kind of suck. But do not worry, once we do this gig we would have enough money we will fix this place up." I grin.

550770

>>550720
"How did you convince him to join the fleet?"

550771

>>550760
"Hit me."
I clear my throat.
"Do you… have any theories on possible cures for this condition of mine? I realize it may seem silly to ask, but I like to hear theories."

550772

>>550770
"I did not. He was on the fleet before I joined."

550774

>>550772
"Huh…that is special."

550777

>>550774
"Hm? Whatever do you mean?"

550778

>>550772
I will knock at your door in the morning.

550780

>>550777
"Well, maybe it's a bit racist of me, but all the donkeys I've ever met weren't really travelers.
They usually found a place they liked and then got too stubborn to leave ever."

550790

>>550778
Open up, looking slightly exhausted and disheveled.
"Yes? Ah, mister Tree. Something you require?"

>>550780
"From my experience, it is quite the opposite. Donkeys have no land to call their own, so they travel quite a lot. The jacks especially."

550794

>>550790
"Lady Heart.
Did I catch you in a bad moment?"

550795

>>550790
"I didn't know they had no country…I always figured there was like some donkestria somewhere over the sea…"

550799

>>550794
Shake my head.
"Of course not. I always have time."

>>550795
"At one point in history they had a place to call their own, but not anymore. I am not an expert on the matter however, you would be better served asking master Wark or Captain September."

550801

>>550799
"Very well."
Step inside and by a chair.
"May I?
It's somewhat of a… Tactical matter."

550803

>>550799
"Perhaps I will, it sounds interesting. I think I've met almost everypony on the fleet now."

550807

>>550799
sometime in the morning I will catch up with you. I look perhaps a bit anxious.
"Good morning Lady Heart."

550810

>>550801
I nod.
"Do elaborate."

>>550803
"Excellent. What are your impressions? I am curious to hear."

>>550807
I'm assuming this is after my chats with Tree and Selena.
"Miss Manako, how lovely to see you again. Please, step inside."

550812

>>550810
"Who should I start with?"

550813

>>550810
Sit down.
"I heard we are en route to Shiba, is that so?
That might not be the best course of actions."

550815

>>550810
"I am fine. Its been.. an eventful few days."

550817

>>550812
"Whoever caught your attention the most."

>>550813
Cock my head slightly.
"Indeed? What makes you think this?"

>>550815
"Yes, it will get busier before getting calmer too, I'm afraid. However… I did want to speak with you in any case. You remember how I spoke of the ram that used to work with me, yes? The tinkerer?"

550818

>>550817
"Are you familiar with sieges, Lady Heart?"

550819

>>550817
"Mmmmm, I think that would be either mr Face or mr Burnside."

550821

>>550817
"Mr. Stein I believe?"

550823

>>550818
I nod.
"I have witnessed a few."

>>550819
I smile.
"How come?"

>>550821
I nod.
"Correct."
Walk over to a nearby drawer and open it up, looking into it.
"Mister Stein had many trinkets and other odds and ends he carried with him… but one item in particular he was especially fond of."
Reach into the drawer and pull out a mechanical looking sword.

550824

>>550823
Blush a bit.
"Well, mister Face is such a….. he just talks and he immediately makes me feel comfortable, I've never met anypony like that."

550825

>>550823
"Then you must clearly see we are not equipped for one.
Yet, this shit is sailing straight into it.
And I'm not talking about Shiba."

550826

>>550823
"I see."
'1d10' appraise it!

Roll #1 2 = 2

550828

>>550824
I nod.
"He knows how to carry a conversation, yes. Such a charming fellow."

>>550825
"I trust in the commodore's judgement. I am certain he has a plan in mind."

>>550826
You probably can't see anything special.
Until I turn it on and sparks of electricity come flying off of it.
"It is not your usual sword."

550829

>>550828
"I see.
But there is a solution, you see."

550830

>>550828
"Oooh! It must have a strong power source to give off such energy!"
buzz around it impressed.

550831

>>550828
Brush my hair aside.
"Yes, he made…quite an impression on me."
I cough.
"And mister Sideburn, wow he has this giant eagle and he took me for a ride on it, it was amazing!"

550833

>>550829
"Oh?"

>>550830
"Yes… I believe so too. He was always so very proud of it. I believe the metal itself is magical too, but I cannot say for sure."

>>550831
I chuckle.
"Did he invite you to his cabin for some relaxation then?"

I raise a brow in surprise.
"Oh? I have not seen this. That does sound quite fun and exciting."

550835

>>550833
"Who, mister Face?"

550836

>>550833
"What will you do with it now?" I ask curiously.

550838

>>550835
I nod.

>>550836
"To be quite fair, I cannot use it myself. I was initially going to keep it as a memento but… I believe mister Stein would have liked to see his creations serving some kind of purpose."
I nod.
"I would like you to have it, miss Manako. A gift, as you will."

550839

>>550838
I try to contain the blushing '1d10'

Roll #1 1 = 1

550840

550842

>>550839
>>550840
I chuckle.
"My my… I suppose I cannot blame you for being unable to resist his charms."

550843

>>550833
"It's all about the direction we are taking."
Use what's on the table to represent the shoreline, and the three cities.
"You see, according to the informations we have from the Daimyo, Ichi is the most fortified of the three cities, counting the largest number of static defenses at the moment.
But here's where the problem comes in.
You see, originally their land forces were split evenly between all towns, but as they saw us approach Uraurafutsu, they pulled out of town.
You can surely see how one single, old stallion is no proper defense for a whole town, no?
The enemy commander is no fool. He's seen right through us.
Giving us easy victories, he hopes to lure us into Ichi where he will deploy the fullest of his naval and earthen might.
If we do attack Shiba, and it reveals to be empty or scarcely guarded aswell, we will have tied the noose around our own necks."
Lean back on the chair.
"Or I might be overestimating our opponent's cruelty and cunning."

550844

>>550842
My ears perk.
"HEY, it was just a massage! I felt a little tense."

550845

>>550838
My eye light up. "Really? I could work on it? Discover how it works? I can only imagine the secrets it holds!" Flutter excitedly and then take a deep breath to remain composed.
"I mean.. It would be an honor to accept such a gift.. Even though we've only known each other a short time. Lady Heart.
I'm afraid I'm incapable of wielding it in battle, but I would treasure it in other ways."

550850

>>550843
"Hmmm…"
Rub the sleep out of my eyes and blink a few times, looking at the table.
"A fair point, mister Tree. A fair point indeed. Though in truth, I am not certain which town we will be going to next in the first place. Yesterday was rather busy for me, so I have yet to discuss our future plans further with the commodore."

>>550844
"Oh, of course it was~"
I chuckle again.

>>550845
I nod.
"I did not expect you to wield it, but perhaps you could learn from it. I hope you will. This is a piece of knowledge I feel that should be shared."

550852

>>550850
"Perhaps we can keep in in the old workshop? I had hoped to do most of my work from there."

550853

>>550850
"It was!"

550854

>>550850
"I see.
Perhaps, with your assistance, we might go discuss this together with him."
Chuckle.
"But do take your time, I can see you must have celebrated victory until late into the night."

550858

>>550852
I nod.
"I will leave it wherever you please."

>>550853
I smirk.
"I am merely teasing you, miss Springleaf. It is none of my business anyway."

>>550854
"I live a busy life, mister Tree. Sometimes sacrificing some sleep for the sake of pleasure is a necessity. Some tea later will do me good, I am sure."

550861

>>550858
"Alright! I'll get started looking at it right away!" Float excitedly into the workshop area.
That's about it for now?

550864

>>550858
"I will be sure to bring you a few leaves then, and maybe we can discuss this in more details."
Smile.
"For now, sate a curiosity of mine.
What is the story behind the abandoned mansion on the flagship?"

550869

>>550858
"Besides, he's the fleet diplomat and he has to do a lot of things, it would never work out!"

550890

>>550861
I chuckle at your enthusiasm.
"It is good to see you are excited about it."
Yup!

>>550864
"Hmmm, it is one I have been telling often recently. It used to belong to an individual who went by the name Landgrave. He was the former first mate of the Darklantern and the instigator of the mutiny. As you can imagine, not many on this fleet hold any love for him."

>>550869
"I am certain that he keeps work and private life separated, miss Springleaf."

550891

>>550890
"Well, his work seems to be very….private. I don't think I could have a relationship like that."

550893

>>550890
"And the lack of funds prevents the fleet from restoring it, I see.
I've found many a barred room.
Let's say I wanted to use one, not all the times, mind you, just as…
Temporary accomodation, and to stash a few things in case of need.
Who would I have to talk to?"

550897

>>550891
"His work is his work, miss Springleaf. Not all of it is pleasant. I believe that he, like anypony, desires true love deep inside."

>>550893
"The commodore. Landgrave is no longer among us, so it has become fleet property now."

550899

>>550897
"Well, maybe some ponies can live with that, but if I were in a relationship with him, I wouldn't be able to just stand by as he….diplomacies with all those other mares."

550903

>>550897
"Interesting.
Though, to tell you the truth, it'd be a… Wrong move, right now.
If I am to fight with the rest of the crew, if I am to inspire safety in the menials as our ships fences the waters and faces its enemies, I'd best suffer the bunks like they do."
Chuckle.
"It's quite an usual sight for me anyway."

550910

>>550899
I nod.
"Of course, I will not judge you for that. But I do wonder if he perhaps feels lonely at times. And by that I mean the sort of lonely that cannot be cured with friends or pleasant company for a night."

>>550903
"Your choice, of course. I believe the commodore wishes to continue to leave it open for all crew to enter. But again, you would need to ask him specifically to be certain."

550914

>>550910
"It'd really benefit from some matresses.
A shame we didn't even loot the castle, in Uraurafutsu.
Civilians wouldn't have cared."

550929

>>550910
"Hmmm. Maybe. It's hard to tell with him."

550931

>>550914
"There was not much left to loot, to be quite fair. They did a fairly good job stripping it clean."

>>550929
I nod.
"Very true. To be quite fair, I haven't got the faintest clue how old he even is."

550936

>>550931
"Some food might have really gone a long way. But it was the Commodore's orders after all, and if everything goes well we will be rewarded for such diligence in our conduct."

550943

>>550936
I nod.
"It is of the utmost importance that we do not offend the daimyo and execute this mission perfectly to the letter. Doing so will yield us quite the price."

550946

>>550931
"Mmmmm. Maybe I'll go talk more to him later.
Talk, just talk."

550949

>>550943
"I have not had the chance to speak with her representative yet, but truth be told, am esitant in doing so.
She's not the most pleasant of ponies."

550961

>>550946
I smilingly nod.
"Yes, of course. Anypony else?"

>>550949
"Ah, neither have I come to think of it… what makes you say that?"

550964

>>550961
"I had the…"
Sigh.
"Pleasure to escort her to the Darklantern.
Five uneventful minutes during which she did nothing but try to elicit some kind of reaction from me.
Not the good kind."

550965

>>550961
"Well Burnside has this amazing giant eagle, did you see it?"

550966

>>550964
"Hmmm, I see. Still, I should probably at least meet once with her."

>>550965
"You mentioned that, but I have not, no. That must be new…"

550967

>>550966
"She's quite knowledgeable in her trade. Has to be, since she's probably the Daimyo's personal cartographer."

550968

>>550966
I nod.
"He said he only tamed it a few days ago.
We went on a ride on it together. It flies so fast, it was incredible!"

550978

>>550967
"Oh I am sure she is. Is her Equestrian up to par?"

>>550968
"… That must be quite the large and strong eagle."

550980

>>550978
"It has to be.
I'm sure she knows a few other tongues aswell, just in case you wanted to brush up on your prench."
Smirk.

550982

>>550980
"If she does not speak it however… that would be quite awkward for her. It would be best not to embarrass her."

550984

>>550968
"It is huge! But he's really tame."

550986

550987

>>550984
"How peculiar… I will need to take a look into this. It sounds spectacular."

550989

>>550982
"Fear not."
Widen my smirk.
"I will try it for you. After all, I've got little to lose, she always thinks horribly of me on the simple virtue of me being a ronin.
Just teach me a basic sentence, that might be fun."

550992

>>550987
"It was. Now, um….I also met Strom, he was really nice, like you said. He showed me his amazing shooting and he promised to refurbish my guns." I grin.

550999

>>550989
"Hmm… very well. A simple Comprenez-vous français will do."

>>550992
"Oh he is such a dear, is he not? The rifle he gifted me works perfectly."

551001

>>550999
"Wait, let me try that."
Cough a bit in my hoof to clear my throat.
"Còmmprende-vù france?"

551003

>>550999
"He really is, I can't wait to see what he does with my guns. Maybe once we have some money, we could buy a new set of guns together, at least he can show me which ones are actually good."

551014

>>551001
"Almost, but not quite.
Comprenez. Vous. Français."

>>551003
"Or perhaps he could build one for you himself once we have the materials."

551018

>>551014
"Oh that would be amazing! Hmm, I didn't really like mr Driftwood, he was very occupied with…wood."

551019

After Tela finished her chat with Abilio we probably meet in our room.

551020

>>551014
Take a deep breath and try that again, stopping after each word to follow LH's spelling.
"Comprendez. Vous. Français."
'1d10' for accent.

Roll #1 8 = 8

551025

>>551018
"Did you not? Well, he is part of the engineering corps as a carpenter. Perhaps he was inspecting it for termites."

>>551020
"You are almost there. Comprenez. No d."

551027

>>551025
"Ah.
Com-pre-nez."
Roll my tongue around a bit.
"I must admit, it's so very different from Neighponese, and Equestria."

551033

>>551025
"Well, it seemed a bit weird, it was like he was more interested in wood then ponies."

551036

>>551019
plop down onto the bed and bury my face into a pillow
"I'm feelin' lazy…"

551038

>>551027
"From Neighponese, certainly. Not terribly much from Equestrian."

>>551033
"Some ponies simply aren't very sociable."

551041

>>551038
"The words all just…
Flow in different ways!"

551046

>>551038
"Hmmm. And Mister Wrench seems nice, but he was terribly busy when I saw him. He is quite…agile for a buffalo."

551048

>>551036
Saunter over and caress your back with a wing.
"I can undress you~"

551058

>>551041
"Well… I suppose that is true. But some words do still have similar tones. Comprenez and comprehend for example."

>>551046
"Oh yes, very much so. He is quick on his hooves. Very brave too, I respect him greatly."

551061

>>551058
"yes, he seems very dedicated to his job too. Is he a good fighter?"

551062

>>551058
"Maybe that's why I'm having so much difficulty with it.
Fashinating…"

551064

>>551048
"… Go ahead."

551073

>>551064
"Tee-hee."
Start pulling the clothes off of you.
"Long day, huh?"

551077

>>551061
"His job is not to fight, but he is very strong. He did save my life once."

>>551062
"Linguistics always did fascinate me. There is much history to be found in it. Many subtle things."

551086

>>551073
"Meh…"

551089

>>551077
"Hmm, during the mutiny?"

551091

>>551077
"Equestrian is fairly simple.
So is spoken neighponese, actually. But the written part…"
Shrudder.
"Six thousand symbols, each one with its meaning.
I don't know what my ancestors were thinking."

551095

>>551086
Frown and take off my own clothers quick, then climb on the bed next to you.
"Hey, if you want to talk about it… y'know."

551113

>>551089
I nod.
"Indeed. He did not make it because of that. Luckily we were able to bring him back from the afterlife. It is usually not a nice place to reside in."

>>551091
"One of the reasons I never got around to learning it. The same goes for Greek. The alphabet is very… intricate."

551120

>>551113
"I don't think too much about that. I heard good ponies go to Celestia's afterlife and bad to Tireks."

551121

>>551113
"At least that's just an alphabet!
It makes you wonder where the word comes from, alphabet…"

551122

>>551095
I sigh and stay quiet for a moment.
"I'm really wondering when the day will come when I get killed so hard that they won't be able to bring me back."

551142

>>551122
"Hey now, I won't let that happen."

551149

>>551142
"It almost happened yesterday."

551154

>>551149
"We brought back Abilio, and you saw what happened to him. I'd go to hell and back for you, Tela."

551156

>>551120
I chuckle.
"That is a rather simplified version of it. For myself… there is only darkness, an empty void. Which is to blame on the fact that I do not follow any religion directly."

>>551121
"I am certain there is an explanation for it out there somewhere."

551162

>>551156
"Working in my field never gave me much opportunity to inquire…"
Stand up.
"I should go now, Lady Heart.
Later today, when you are ready, we could have our usual tea."
Bow and leave.

551168

>>551162
"I will rest some more… thank you for your visit, mister Tree."

551173

>>551156
I frown.
"That sounds very…doesn't that disturb you?"

551187

>>551173
"While it is not entirely pleasant, there is not much sense in allowing it to disturb you too much. I have been thinking about following a religion, however. Mother nature is a possibility… but I doubt my lifestyle fits it. Perhaps the Nightmare will be more conforming to me."

551192

>>551187
Frown.
"Why Nightmare?"

551198

>>551192
"There are only so many choices. Tirek and Grogar do not appeal to me in the slightest. Celestia… well I think we both know she would not approve of me."

551202

>>551198
"…perhaps not."

551204

>>551154
"Easy promises don't always come true."

551205

>>551204
Frown.
"So what? You can die just as easy anywhere else. Here we have healers and even people who can bring us back from the dead."

551208

>>551205
"I died twice since I came to this fleet. That's more times than I ever died in all my life."

551211

>>551208
"Because you were never at the risk of dying as a regular merc. And you got resurrected twice, which is twice as much as you would get if you were on your own."

551214

>>551202
I nod silently.

551216

>>551211
"Prevention seems like the smarter choice to me."

551219

>>551214
"But…if you wanna join a religion, maybe you should think about it a bit more, just choosing the Nightmare because there's nothing else doesn't seem a good idea."

551226

>>551219
"Oh I realize this. I have contemplated long about this. Tirek, Grogar, Luna, Celestia, the Law, Discord… none of them would work. Nature… seems unlikely. Nightmare? A possibility."

551227

>>551226
"…what is the Nightmare afterlife even like?"

551229

>>551227
"Dark."
I chuckle.
"I conversed about it with one of its followers a long time ago. Unfortunately, he decided to side with the mutineers."

551230

>>551216
"Yeah? So what do you say we do?"

551231

>>551230
I shrug.
"Dunno. Not yet anyway."

551234

>>551229
"Hhmmm, well if that's what you think is best…"

551235

>>551231
"Listen, I know dying sucks, but you can't just give up!"

551236

>>551234
"I do not. Not quite yet. Perhaps I will stay a godless heathen in the end."
I chuckle.

551239

>>551236
"Let's change the subject. How are the kids?"

551244

>>551239
"They are faring quite well, they seem very happy. Master Wark and I are educating them further."

551250

>>551244
"I think it's great they can stay in the mansion. Just having them playing on the deck would be a disaster."

551255

>>551250
"Red and Grey have done so before. There is not much danger to it as long as we are in safe waters."

551256

>>551255
"I'd love to meet them sometime.
I'm sure they'd love to see some magic tricks."

551257

>>551256
I smile.
"That sounds like a wonderful idea."

551258

>>551257
"You know, I told you before that I once thought about doing magic performances. I was thinking once we had some money, I could pick that up again. Now that I finally have a teacher."

551271

>>551258
"That does sound like a very nice goal. What equipment would you require?"

551283

>>551271
"Most it I already have."
Tip my hat.
"Fireworks I can make myself, I just need the materials. I was thinking I could go buy a proper attire for performances."

551288

>>551283
"What would such an attire consist of?"

551291

>>551288
"It has to be dazzling, colorful and just a tiny bit lewd" I giggle.

551293

>>551291
I raise an eyebrow.
"Lewd you say?"

551297

>>551293
"Well, not lewd lewd, but it has to be a bit sexy.
Sometimes, just fireworks and sparkles aren't enough.
You must have noticed that stage mares don't wear thick sweaters?"

551299

>>551297
I chuckle.
"Of course I have… I was in showbusiness myself for some time."

551302

>>551299
Widen my eyes.
"Great! What kind of stagemare?"

551307

>>551302
"Acting."

551321

>>551307
"Stage plays or musicals?"

551328

>>551321
"Mostly stage. I did try my hoof at musicals but… I simply prefered the stage plays."

551332

>>551328
"Did you play Poneo and Juliette?"

551342

>>551332
I smile.
"Yes, six times to be exact. I casted as Rosaline."

551359

>>551342
I grin.
"It's an important role in the play. Not the most important, but without her nothing in the play would have happened."

551365

>>551235
shit, it stopped updating for me
"'Dying sucks'… that's one way to put it, yeah."

551576

>>551359
I chuckle.
"Oh yes, absolutely. I must admit that I prefer tragicomic plays however, tragedies can get very dreary."

551577

>>551576
"…..tragicomic plays?"

Roll #1 6 = 6

551582

>>551577
"Yes? A mixture of tragedy and comedy. Not quite as popular as tragedy on its own, but I still appreciate them."

551584

>>551365
Narrow my eyebrows.
"I was dead once too, y'know."

551588

>>551582
"Oh….Uh…like….Ponthello?" othello
Smile sheepishly.

551591

>>551588
"That is in fact more of a tragedy. The play that introduced me to the genre was 'The Faithful Shepherdess', featuring a shepherdess who herds small crystalline sheep… I am not entirely certain where the writer took inspiration from for that."

551599

>>551591
"Oooh, maybe it's like the shiny thing Tela has? On her coat."

551603

>>551599
"Perhaps… I had heard stories of crystal ponies before, but seeing one with my own eyes… that was quite interesting. She used to be an earth pony, you know."

551604

>>551603
"She told me…it looks really cute, I'm so jealous."

551610

>>551604
I chuckle.
"Yes… cute… Though in fairness, it is not as if you are not a cute mare already. There is hardly any need for crystallization."

551612

>>551610
I blush.
"I don't think it's something for me anyway. I want sparkles on my clothes, not my coat."

551615

>>551612
I nod.
"It is less permanent as well."

551617

>>551615
"Perhaps some sparkles in my mane would do fine as well. Oh and you should definitely try it too, I think it will look fabulous."

551621

>>551617
I chuckle.
"Perhaps a bit too fabulous."

551626

>>551621
"Mmmm"
Look at your mane.
"Or how about a hairband? With gems. That's more dignified."

551638

>>551626
I smile and fluff my mane.
"To be entirely honest, I am a follower of the idea that less is more. You would never see me walking around in a garish attire like Emrille, for one. Why, I never even wear a simple hat."

551669

>>551638
"Ah surely a little glamour couldn't hurt."

551677

>>551669
"For a show? No, of course not. But in my day to day life I see no need to."

551683

>>551677
"To get more attention. To turn more heads."

551686

>>551683
Pretend to look very cross.
"Are you… insulting my looks?"

551689

>>551686
Pause.
"Nononono, of course not, I just meant uh…"

551690

>>551689
"That I am an ugly mule?"

551694

>>551690
"What…no, I meant that it would…"
Rolling for wits '1d10'

Roll #1 9 = 9

551699

>>551690
>>551694
"Wait…."
Look at you.
"you're laughing again!"

551700

>>551694
>>551699
I return to my trademark smile.
"Mhmm~ You are so very adorable when you get flustered."

551701

>>551700
I scrunch intently.

551710

>>551701
I chuckle.
"Displeased?"

551711

>>551710
"I shouldn't get flustered."

551714

>>551711
"Why not?"

551716

>>551714
Scrunching intensifies.
"Because it makes me look weak, and naive. And I shouldn't look like that on a pirate fleet."

551724

>>551716
"There is nothing wrong with getting flustered every now and then, miss Springleaf. It is a very pony like thing to do."

551732

>>551724
"Emrille doesn't get flustered!"

551736

>>551732
"She does not, instead letting other emotions run free such as wroth. Is that the type of pony you strive to be? I will not judge you, of course, but I am curious."

551738

>>551736
"No…but I've never seen you get flustered either, or mister Tree or mister Chip."

551743

>>551738
"I fail to see how that makes us better ponies than you are."

551756

>>551743
"You've been in this for a long time.
And you survived so you must be doing it right!"

551759

>>551756
I chuckle.
"And you believe that has to do with my ability to remain unflustered?"

551763

>>551759
"…..well it must be part of it!"

551777

>>551763
"I believe you are worrying far too much about this matter. With time, you will become more experienced and evolve as an individual. This is not a matter that should be forced. My advice is to always know the ponies who are surrounding you and remain close to those you trust. The key to survival and success is to ensure you are part of a group and not standing as a lone wolf. That way, even if you do fail, you will have ponies around you to help you get back up to your hooves."

551792

>>551777
I scrunch.
"I'm trying but you are all a lot better than me!
I've never fought before! That fight on the ship was almost too much for me.
I wanna be part of the group, I don't want to be a burden."

551809

>>551792
"Do not underestimate yourself, you are certainly no burden. You possess a set of unique skills which are a welcome addition to the fleet and I personally value you greatly for that."

551812

>>551809
"…"
I chuckle.
"Well, at least I can conjure up nice flags right."

551826

>>551812
"And brew potions."
Put a hoof on your shoulder and give you a reassuring smile.
"You have nothing to worry about, Selena. Simply keep doing what you are doing already and all shall be well."

551830

>>551826
I touch your hoof for a second and then nod.
"Yes, yes, I'm sorry miss Heart…I'll try to do my best."

551838

>>551830
I nod.
"Good. Very good. I am pleased we have become such good friends over the past few months. I think you have a bright future ahead of you."

551840

>>551838
"I hope so, well I know that if we work together, it will be like that!"

551847

>>551840
"I am pleased to hear we are in agreement."
Raise my mug.
"To our partnership?"

551851

>>551847
"To our partnership." I grin.

551853

>>551851
Drink up and put it back down.
"Now… I believe that is all. Or would you care to join me in my cabin for some tea and dessert?"

551865

>>551853
Perk a brow.
"Uh….yeah, why not, I feel like eating something sweet."

551867

>>551865
"Good. Hmmm, meet me there in twenty minutes?"

551869

>>551867
"Okay!"

551871

>>551869
I take my leave then.
Going to bed soonish, thanks for the faffage.

551873

552167

>>551873
>>551867
Knock knock.

552168

>name

552169

>>552167
By now I've probably emptied my cabin and made some tea.
"Enter."

552170

>>552169
Come in.
"Hello again, I'm not too early, am I?"

552171

>>552170
I've set up some cups and a teapot on a small table.
"Of course not. Please, sit down. I made black tea, I hope you like it."

552172

>>552171
Trot to the table and sit down.
"Is it the same as the tea made by Mister Tree, by any chance? He had me cultivate some black tea seeds for his sea."

552173

>>552172
I smile and nod quickly.
"Yes indeed, I have grown quite fond of this particular brew. I must commend the Neighponies on their tastes for tea."

552174

>>552173
"Yes, it's divine really, I tried adding some Chamomile last time we had some tea. You should try it!"

552175

>>552174
"Daisies? That sounds simple enough."
Take a sip.
"Miss Lacey is an excellent teamaker too, I must say. She knows her timings and quantities perfectly. Rosemary… not so much."
I chuckle.

552176

>>552175
"It's quite strange to have a maid on the ship, where does she come from?"

552177

Gotta check up on the tiny thing.
Find the Fae.

552178

>>552176
"The city of Stonebriar, which is also where Rosemary and Puzzle lived. Indeed, we have several Stonebriarians in our service. Miss Lacy may not be a fighter, but she does possess some other useful skills. I am pleased to have her with us."

552179

>>552177
"good morning tree-sempai. " yawn slightly.

552180

>>552178
Nod.
"It's good to have somepony on board who knows how to hoofle the fillies."

552181

>>552179
"Sleeping in late, Manako chan?"

552182

>>552180
"Yes… though I do not plan on bringing Rosemary along to shoreside expeditions forever. If she is able to remain on the ships, she can look after them."
I smile.
"It is good that we are alone here too. As much as I care for them, they do tend to be… distracting."

552183

>>552181
" late night. "

552184

>>552183
"Got drunk off a few drops of ale?"
Chuckle.

552185

>>552182
I take a sip from my tea.
"Light, is miss Lacy….a…"
Consider my words.
"…prisoner here? It's just that…well I heard some pirate ships take prisoners like maids or doctors."

552186

>>552185
"Oh no, most certainly not. She is part of the crew like you and me and joined on her own volition."

552187

>>552186
"We don't have any prisoners on board?"

552188

>>552184
Blush a bit. "not like its my fault your ale is in huge jugs. "
"but no. The idiot host kept me up. "

552189

>>552188
"The host?"
Raise a brow.
"Where are you even sleeping, Manako?"

552190

>>552187
I think for a moment, then shake my head.
"Not at this time, no. The only surviving prisoners who made it through the mutiny were released a few weeks before you joined us."

552191

>>552189
Shake my head. " light heart's room. Sorry. Still tired. The goat hircus. He injured himself last night. "

552192

>>552191
"Had too much to drink?"

552193

>>552190
"Mmmm, okay."
Smile a bit.
"Sorry for interrupting you on miss Rosemary, I just wanted to be sure if we had prisoners or not."

552194

>>552193
"Do you have issues with them, perhaps?"

552195

>>552192
Shake head again.
" not at the time. I took him to drink after I patched him up thou. "
Look a little awkward. " it was a matter of the heart. A misunderstanding really. "

552196

>>552194
"I'm not stupid, I know we'll have to take prisoners one time or another."

552197

>>552195
"Don't keep me guessing then, what happened?
Did he offend somepony spoken for?
Maybe Tela, or heavens forbid the crazy gunner with a ridicolous hat?
"

552198

>>552196
I nod.
"Of course, it is rather inevitable. Ransoms can be quite valuable especially if the prisoner has rich relatives."

552199

>>552197
Giggle a bit. " no! Its the deer ciddir. Who knows what the idiot goat sees in him. But it turns out the deer was not even mad. Idiot hurt himself for nothing. " move my arms excitedly

552200

>>552199
"Wait, Ciddir is a…"
Raise a brow, actually unsure.
"Male, right?
"

552201

>>552198
I cough.
"And for ponies like those who attacked us, if we catch them and they're imprisoned, I understand.
I just….I hope they don't get….taken advantage of…especially mare prisoners."

552202

>>552200
"Aye!" Give a firm nod and chuckle again

552203

>>552201
"Ah, I see what you are worried about. I would not think that would be the case, I certainly would not allow such a thing. We are not animals after all. Those prisoners that we let free were well taken care off for example, especially so because they aided us with certain tasks. Though others… back when I first came to this fleet we had a prisoner that worked for Equestria and had infiltrated our fleet to attempt and take us down. He was tortured quite badly… but he was certainly not what I would call an innocent pony either."

552204

>>552202
Groan.
"With all the menials and mares around, he just had to choose that one?
But what's this to do with him hurting himself?
"

552205

>>552203
"Hmm, right, well…in that particular case, I suppose if he had taken down the fleet, we would have been the ones being tortured."
I put my cup down as I suddenly start realizing that.
"Wow…" I rest my head on my hoof.
"This is the first time I really realize we're like…privateers."

552206

>>552204
" he confessed his love to the deer. But the deer didn't understand and he panicked and lied and thought the deer hated him. I found him after that bleeding out on deck. " give a depressed sigh.

552207

>>552206
"I still do not understand the link between confessing his love and the bleeding out!
Are you trying to tell me he did that to himself?!
"

552208

>>552205
I nod slowly.
"Yes… if we are ever caught and tried, we would quite likely be hung. Though do keep in mind that some privateers that are caught are simply treated as prisoners of war, so they are better off than pirates would be. Of course, we will not allow ourselves to ever be caught in any case."

552209

>>552207
Nod slowly.

552210

>>552208
Nod quickly.
"Yes that does seem the best course of action."

552211

>>552209
Facehoof.
"Please tell me he's not tried it again…"

552212

>>552210
"Pirate hunters are our biggest worry, they always have been."
I shake my head.
"But so far we have beaten them each and every time, I see no reason to change such a habit of a lifetime."
I reach out to pat you on the shoulder.
"And if they ever do catch us by surprise… simply stick by my side and all will be well."

552213

>>552211
Shrug. " I went to tell him the good news that Ciddir is okay with him. If he doesn't lie anymore. But he was bowing to some earth pony in a dark corner. Goat is crazy I think. "

552214

>>552212
Nod and touch your hoof for a second.
"Okay."

552215

>>552213
"Bowing?"
Sigh.
"He truly seems crazy. What happened after that?"

552216

>>552215
" I was too confused and left. I don't know what happened next. Or why the drinking did not fix him"

552217

>>552214
I smile and keep my hoof in place for a second, then move it to caress her cheek softly.
"And if you are ever worried or afraid… I will be here as a listening ear to you. This world can be quite harsh and nopony should have to face it on their own."

552218

>>552217
Smile and nod.
"I know, Light Heart, you've been here for me ever since I set hoof on board."

552219

>>552216
"Drinking usually doesn't."
Chuckle.
"It only pushes problems… How do Equestrians say…
Under the rug?"

552222

>>552219
Frown " maybe you can talk sense into the goat? He was on the dark lantern last I saw. "

552223

>>552222
"I will try to. Having someone kill himself because his dick aches isn't something we can afford right now."
Grunt.
"Kids."

552225

>>552218
"I have a tendency to take ponies under my wing if I am able to… It is poetic perhaps, that I who used to be shielded because of my condition now shield other ponies myself."

552229

>>552225
Is your hoof still on my cheek?

"I think it's very kind and noble of you, miss Heart. It almost surprises me that you're really a pirate."

552232

>>552223
" I know… just imagine if I hadn't passed by that night.." shiver

552234

>>552232
"We'd have had to bring him back. And probably have a long talk with him."
Sigh, but smile, and pat gently her head.
"I was right trusting you. Good job Manako-chan."

552235

>>552229
"Well, I do get quite a bit in return for doing so."
Remove my hoof from your cheek and gently grab one of your hooves with it.
"The chance to share tea with another pretty mare comes to mind."

552238

>>552234
Grin like a child who has just been given a puppy. " thank you tree sempai!!"
Then look down a bit as If I realized something.

552239

>>552235
I giggle.
You flatter me, Light Heart. You're far more pretty than me."

552240

>>552238
"Anything on your mind aswell, Manako?"
Sit.
"You can talk.
If nopony takes care of the doctor, the doctor will get sick.
"

552243

>>552240
Blush and look a bit anxious " tree sempai.. do big ponies really hate fae as much as I was told? "

552244

>>552243
"In Neighpon, they sure do.
Outside, in Equestria…
Well, that's another world.
"

552245

>>552239
"No need to be so modest, I do mean what I say. You have a unique aura about you, but it is hard to pinpoint. Perhaps I feel this way because we are both performers at heart. It lives inside us."

552247

>>552245
Lean a bit forward and flop my ears.
"I think we both love to be the center of attention, in our own way…"

552250

>>552247
I smile and lean forward slightly as well.
"The show must always go on…"

552252

>>552244
Look a bit unsure " but tree sempai. You are neighponese… and you are here wanting to help me."

552254

>>552250
Oof, is it getting hot in here?
"What's the next act, Light?"

552256

>>552252
Scoff.
"You can say that, but I'm not Neighponese.
Nationality isn't what's in your blood.
"

552257

>>552254
"I do believe we will forgo the script for the time being and utilize some improv~"
I wink at her.

552260

>>552257
"Improv can get a bit messy."

552263

>>552260
I chuckle.
"Ad libitum does not mean 'at one's pleasure' for no reason."

552266

>>552256
Sit down near you. " dies that rule apply to fae as well?could a fee be seen the same as a big pony? "

552267

552269

>>552263
"It does? So…improv means fun?"

552270

>>552266
"It's only a matter of who you ask to, Manako-chan."

552271

>>552270
Stare at your eyes. " what if I ask you? "

552272

>>552271
Turn around, a brow arched.
"You should know the answer by now, Manako-chan."

552273

>>552269
"In a way… it does."
Close the remaining gap between us and press my lips against hers for a soft kiss.

Roll #1 10 = 10

552274

>>552272
Turn red and look away " n-never mind.. "

552276

>>552273
Despite all the teasing I'm still surprised…but I quickly relax into your kiss.
I lick my licks as you pull back again, and quickly reach out for a full kiss '1d10'

Roll #1 8 = 8

552278

>>552274
Keep looking at her.
"You look stressed out, Manako-chan.
Maybe you should do something relaxing for a change.
"

552279

>>552276
So eager~
Unfurl my wings and wrap them around her, enjoying the moment in silence.

552281

>>552278
Blink " tree sempai? What do you mean? "

552283

>>552279
Stop and wiggle playfully in your wings.
I blush and brush my hair aside.
"I can't believe that just happened~"

552284

>>552281
"Take a warm bath.
Or try a massage.
"
Chuckle.
"Even though I'm unsure how to give massages to a fae."

552285

>>552283
I smile.
"I couldn't possibly let you down after all that, could I?"

552286

>>552285
"It was better than I thought."

552288

>>552284
" a massage?"
Blush harder "t-tree sempai.. i.. if you want to try it. Just d-don't touch my wings. "

552290

>>552288
Okay, this deserves a flat stare.
"Manako, one of my hooves is as large as you are."

552291

>>552286
I lick my lips and chuckle.
"I am glad to hear you enjoyed it as much as I did."
Glance over at the bed.
"Should we… get comfortable?"

552292

>>552291
Blush red.

552294

>>552292
Grin slyly.
"We could drop the curtain on this act straight away if you are not feeling up to it."

552296

>>552294
'1d10'
1-NOPE
10-Yup

Roll #1 4 = 4

552297

>>552294
>>552296
Snuggle a bit.
"I like it like this."

552298

>>552290
Panic " uhh maybe if you are gentle. OrIfyou weresmaller. "

552300

>>552298
Shrug and stand.
"Very well.
Find a pillow.
"

552302

>>551584
"Yup. We were really fucking lucky to have come back from it too. Not sure how smart it is to keep pushing that luck."

552303

>>552296
>>552297
"Hmmm… I think I agree with you."
Nuzzle her cheek a little.
"Let us enjoy this peace while it lasts."

552304

>>552302
"Yeah, so we retire. Then what? Start a little farm, adopt some annoying little shits and smoke pipes in rocking chairs for the rest of our lives, when we aren't trodding in the shit of the fields? Because that sounds so much better."

552305

>>552303
Snuggle here for a little while.

552308

>>552300
"really? T-thank you tree sempai! "
Give a look a delight and locate a pillow. Probably from an unused room.

552309

>>552304
"Could enlist again. Navy's alright if you have the experience. And hey, I'm not saying I'm going to leave. I'm just… thinking about my life."

552311

>>552308
"Now, promise to tell me if it's hurting right away, is this clear?"

552312

>>552309
"Listen, we rebuilt this fleet from shambles. Once we get this first job done and do it right, we'll hit big fucking money! We will hire ponies who will fight for us, pretty up the ships, stock up on any kind of good shit you can imagine! We just need to pull through this part!"

552313

>>552311
" I promise. " lay as still as possible.

552315

>>552312
"What if we don't strike it big?"

552317

>>552313
Sigh and sit behind the pillow.
Let's try not to think of all the ways I could mess this up, and instead take my horse shoes off, and clean my hooves rubbing them between eachother.
Then, bring them over the tiny breezie.
"Fold your wings, please."

552318

>>552315
"We will. Fuck, we just discussed this with Abilio, that dayimo or what the fuck boss, as long as we do shit as he likes it, pays handsomely! Plus it's totally legit too! No pirate hunters can fuck with us, and even if they try, we'd just kill them!"

552320

>>552317
[Wings fold up neatly ]

552322

>>552320
Put the edge of one hoof over one of Manako's shoulders, hesistating for a moment.
Then, bring the cold hoof down on it, just enough to touch her, without resting it.
And do the same with the other.
Start with slow, very small circles on her shoulders, just basic massages.
'1d10'

Roll #1 1 = 1

552323

>>552318
"What I mean is… what if we get fucked up and die? The whole 'fleet'."

552324

>>552323
"Then we die, that's it, shit is over. What if we give up on the pirate life, go take a stroll by the seaside, and from the above cliffs rocks fall and we both die?"

552326

>>552322
Bite my lip as your hoof comes down and then all too suddenly you are pressing too hard and I scream in pain my eyes tearing up.

552327

>>552326
"Ah!"
Retract my hooves hastily, away from her.
"Manako!"

552328

>>552324
"There's a significantly lower percentage of that happening."

552329

>>552328
"With the fighters on this fleet, I don't see your theory happening either."

552330

>>552327
" tree sempai…" rub the area gently. " maybe its just impossible.." I say depressed

552332

>>552329
"Oh no? Remember the mutiny? How fucking close we came?"

552333

>>552330
Sigh.
"I'm not the grandest masseur in the world, Manako-chan.
Not even on the ship.
Maybe you should ask someone with magic.
Or that other breezie.
"

552336

>>552332
"Yeah. And do you remember what happened to those who were against us? Come on, I'll give you a moment. Oh, right, they fucking died, all of them, down to every last motherfucker."

552337

552341

>>552333
Turn completely red as if angry and float up. " who-fights-monsters-in-the-woods? He is nothing like me. I don't want to be stuck with him."
Settle back down on the pillow and stare off. After a minute I ask in a small voice and fold my wings up glancing back at you " try again? "

552352

>>552341
Harden my stare and use a commanding tone this time.
"…Very well.
Sit down this time.
I will not go easy on you.
"
Place both hooves down on her shoulders and use all my knowledge to ease her pain.
This, after all, is just like swordfighting.
'2d10'+1 each.

Roll #1 4, 5 = 9

552354

>>552352
Sigh a bit and shiver unable to relax. "y-your hooves are really cold tree sempai.."

552356

>>552354
"Mh."
Lift my hooves off her and lean forward, breathing warm air onto her back.

552359

>>552356
Blush and try to cover my cheeks. " w-whoa.. that really feels n-nice. "

552363

>>552359
Pull away and do the same to my hooves before placing them back on her shoulders and rubbing again.
'2d10'+1
"Your face changes color so quickly, Manako-chan."

Roll #1 2, 5 = 7

552371

>>552363
Oh geez he is really doing this.
Turn completely red and nod slowly " t-that's just because you a-are so warm.."
Fidget around under your hooves.

552380

>>552371
"Yet, you don't complain."
Smirk and move my hooves, using one to lift her long mane and the other to calmly brush it.
'1d10'

Roll #1 2 = 2

552383

>>552380
I'm gonna stop rolling now, failing at brushing a mane is ridicolous.

552389

>>552380
>>552383
"n-no of course not. " oh dear. I seem to be breaking out in a sweat. Give you a smile as you pet my mane.
" i.. I am glad we didn't quit."

552395

>>552389
"Yet again, this is not relaxing you."
Frown.
"Maybe I should try harder."

552407

>>552395
Turn around and suddenly hug you probably you chest. " tree sempai! " shiver and close my eyes listening to your heart beat. " thank you so much "

552412

>>552407
Be surprised at this, and stand still, opening my forehooves.
After a few seconds, put one hoof on her back, patting her silently.
"You have nothing less than a pony does, Manako.
Don't let anyone treat you otherwise.
"

552413

>>552412
Breath deeply and give a relaxed sigh and dazed smile. " I will do my best tree sempai. "

552416

>>552413
Let go of her.
"Come knowcking if someone does, okay?"
Chuckle.
"And sorry for the horrible massage."

552421

>>552416
Blush and nod at the first part then give a more insistent bobbing up and down in front of you.
" it was fine! Really. "

552423

>>552421
Tsk.
Smirk.
"Yeah, sure."
Poke her on the nose with a hoof.
"Go already!
What are you waiting for, a kiss goodbye?
"

552424

>>552423
"Mmm…"
Turn completely red and fly away.

552425

>>552424
Chuckle and be off aswell.

552720

>>552305
Keep my wings wrapped around and enjoy the peace for a little while before speaking up again.
"I have to thank you again for that product you gave me… my wings have never been softer, though I imagine you can feel that for yourself about now."

552721

>>552720
"mmmmmhh~"
Enjoy the warmth and softness, laying my head against your chest.
"it's been a long time since somepony hugged me like this…"

552722

>>552721
"Having wings is quite useful for these situations."
I chuckle softly.

552723

>>552722
Turn my neck and move my head close enough to your left wing that you can feel my breath on the feather.
"Did you preen them today?"

552724

>>552723
"I have not had the time yet, you caught me quite early this morning."

552725

>>552724
"Would you mind if I helped you out?"

552726

>>552725
"Hmmm? Oh. If you would be so kind, I would be very grateful."

552727

>>552726
Preen wings gently '1d10'

Roll #1 10 = 10

552728

>>552727
I close my eyes and let out a shaky sigh. That's quite the sensation.
"My… you are good at this…"

552729

>>552728
Continue and unfold one of my own.
Stop for just tiny second to look at you and my wing.

552730

>>552729
Open an eye and look at you, then your wing.
"Of course."
Lick my lips and get to work on preening her as well.

Roll #1 5 = 5

552731

>>552729
Social preening is very bonding~

552732

>>552730
I continue dutifully, until your wings are shiny clean

552733

>>552731
>>552732
Once we're done, I collect the fallen feathers and dispose of them.

"That was quite good, thank you very much for your diligence."
Look through the window outside.
"I suppose we ought to wrap this up. It has been a great pleasure to spend this morning together, Selena."

552734

>>552733
I look at my wings.
"Thank you as well."
I smile as I flap them a bit.
"Yes, you're right, I should make some potions before we get into any trouble again."
I put on my hat and cloak.
"It was delightful, Light. We should do this again sometime."

552735

>>552734
"I shall count the days until we do so."
I smile.
"One… small matter, however. Do you think it would be wise not to spread the word on what happened here? Ponies may get the wrong idea."

552736

>>552735
"My lips are sealed!….I don't have any feathers in my teeth, do I?"

552737

>>552736
I chuckle.
"Hmmm… let me check that for you."
Lean forward and steal a quick kiss on the mouth, smiling smugly.
"… No, I believe you look utterly innocent."

552738

>>552737
I grin.
"Thanks for the tea, Light. See you soon."
I trot outside again to my lab.

552739

>>552738
"Have a lovely day."
