>>459406(Last post) >>459406(Last post) Stars shined through the clear midnight sky. Above the darkened trees three princesses cut through the night air sailing silently over the treetops. Twilight was still racking her head with the revelations she had been given. The ancient carvings Celestia revealed to her the true identity of the Changeling queen. “But that was over a thousand years ago, could it have really been the same queen?” She thought silently as they soared over the Everfree Forest.
Twilight could see that they were coming up on a forest lake and a clearing. “Up ahead, we are nearly there.” Celestia called to Twilight. Rising up and then descending into the forest below the three princesses disappeared into the trees. (Continued)
The villagers were safely returned after the group of friends lead them out of the forest. The mayor of Hooves Run thanked the adventurers on behalf of the townsfolk and the innkeeper’s wife offered you all free room and board for life to which her husband reluctantly agreed. The Mayor agreed to lock the changelings you captured up and try them by the laws of the town. The group slept in the inn the rest of the night and woke up the next day refreshed and ready to continue on their journey.
Current Objectives
Entire Team >Find the out what happened to Hoove's Run villagers(COMPLETE) >Escort the villagers out of the forest(Timeskip) Cinnamon Blossom >get team and two fillies to Fillydelphia safety Lilly >Find the old statue
>>496203 Lilly slowly rises from her bed, and stretches, ready to begin the day a new. She takes a quick glance around the room, seeing her new comrades begin to wake up.
She decided to take a quick glace and look over to where the alicorn fillies where sleeping.
>>496203 She gets up with a long yawn, hooves outstretched. She rubs the sleep from her eyes, then looks to the little alicorn fillies, just to make sure they're safe, and not a dream. "Morning," she says to everybody.
>>496206 They are both sleeping on the same bed. The white one yawns and opens her eyes slowly when the sun hits her eyes. >>496217 >>496219 >>496216 >>496223 "Breakfast!" You hear the Donkey inkeeper call up. Before long you are encountered with a generous helping of pancakes made with care by the innkeeper's wife.
>>496232 Lilly gently pat the sleeping filly's head, and warmly smiles.
"Good morning, little Celestia. It is time to for you and your sister to get up and get ready. We leave, as soon as possible." She says, kindly, as she moves her hoof over to Luna, lightly nudging the blue filly.
>>496242 "Alright, come on Luna…" "mmmmm too sleepy…." "Come onnnnn…." She pushes Luna a few times before she slowly climbs out of bed. Soon they are both standing before you. "Where are we going now? Celestia asks >>496237 >>496239 >>496246 >>496249 >>496251 The innkeeper's wife smiles "Don't mention it! After saving our hides not once but twice, I can't thank you enough!" You all eat breakfast and get ready for the journey ahead.
"When my master parted, he appeared to me in a vision. He told me something about a most ancient statue of a great pony, somewhere within the forest. He said that if we pay our respects, she might offer help. I think that should be our next destination."
>>496264 She shovels a little more of those delicious pancakes into her mouth, and says, "Alright, then," and then with a gulp, she announces, "I'm ready!"
>>496269 Lilly nods her head at the group. "Thank you for the meal and the rooms. It was very gracious of you." She says to the innkeeper, politely, before turning back to her group.
"I trust we shall make preparations? Or, shall we simply go, no-?!" >>496271 She is interrupted by the sound of choking. Her eyes widen, and she tenses up, unsure of what to do in this situation.
Double trots up casually to the mare choking and the mare patting. He wraps his forehooves around the barrel of Cinnamon and squeezes tightly performing a Heimlich
[1d10] Heimlich
>>496275 "Where in tha forest is it anyways? Ya got anymore hints? Forests kinda big…"
>>496280 >>496281 >Combined effort Cinnamon is no longer choking. The brief deprivation of oxygen causes it to occur to her drunk brain that she still has to take the two fillies to Fillydelphia.
>>496274 "He did not say, unfortunately. But I think its worth taking a look at. It is more than we have to go on." >>496279 >>496281 "He said it 'some distance from here'. But that is all he said."
>>496289 "I believe we should make preparations, before we head out. Surely the towns ponies here would be more than grateful to extend their gratitude, wouldn't you agree?"
>>496297 "We have whatever is on us at the moment. Potions, bandages, weapons and arms. Simple survival gear, but it may not be enough for the long journey ahead of us. I will let you decide among yourselves if we are prepared or not, but I would suggest stocking up on supplies.
Better safe than sorry, after all."
>>496296 She cocks an eyebrow at the innkeeper "Why is that?"
>>496300 >>496306 "I would think your kind would know how dangerous the Everfree Forest is. The entire place is as old as time. You saw firsthand what was in there didn't you?"
>>496308 She closes her eyes, and nods, musing to herself. "Ah yes… Nothing we can't handle. Besides, we have an important task ahead of us. We cannot stop at nothing, or give pause, whatever the dangers maybe."
>>496310 >>496311 Lilly nods at the cowpony and cleric. "Yes. And I shall wait for you, by the gate, near the forest. Celestia, Luna, if you will follow me. Sir Vigilance, shall you check around town for supplies, or shall you leave that to Miss Cinnamon, here, and accompany me and the sisters?"
>>496310 >>496312 You head out the door and across the street to the dive you guys met each other at. you follow >>496316 >>496323 You gather the necessary supplies.
The party is now travelling back into the Everfree forest. You have been walking for about a few hours before you get to the road split that goes in three directions. One leads to the old castle in the distance. The other leads to a large gorge with running water. The middle path leads into thicker forest.
>>496337 "I think a proper place to check first would be the gorge. It seems less likely to have any wildlife down there, and it is a good place to start, I think. Unless anyone has any other ideas?"
>>496347 >>496352 >>496349 >>496356 >>496358 You begins to make your way to the sound of running water. The gorge is very deep. Is still wandering toward the side but can see the drop coming up.
You notice there was an ancient old rope bridge here but it has rotted away mostly, only two moss covered ropes still completely cross the valley, with some rotten planks hanging off the sides.
>>496376 She stares at the sight of drop, and what used to be a bridge. "I… would recommend turning back. There doesn't seem to be any way to continue onward."
>>496376 >>496381 "Yeah… I'm not really in the mood for a swim," she says, looking down into the water. She turns back to go that other path trail thing.
>>496388 >>496389 >>496390 >>496391 >>496392 She looks back, wondering what's taking them. "What's taking you guys?" she asks, oblivious of the near death experience of the drunkard.
>>496388 "TIa we gotta help her!" >>496389 > no Roll >>496390 You grab her hoof and it slips away. >>496392 Or actually it goes to check your things as you hang off the side. Celestia flutters over to you and begins trying to pull you up with all her little might. (roll to pull yourself up)
>>496408 She smiles bright as the day at you. "Good…..I don't want anyone to get hurt." >>496410 >>496411 Giving up on crossing the Gorge you decide to go deeper into the forest. It's now nearly as dark as night under the thick canopy of trees. As you venture deeper into the forest, the sounds change from soothing birdsongs and cricket chirps to howls and cackles from unknown creatures lurking in the darkness.

Several small creatures scurry away from the bright light. You can still hear all kinda of crazy howls and whoops in the bushes. You can see trees in all directions. Somewhat of a long distance away is what you think is a clearing. >>496426 You dissapear into the trees. [roll perception].

Before you make it past the nearest tree however. >>496449 >>496453 Vigil and Emmy roll a dodge.
>>496459 Double Action takes a defensive stance as he rears up and his front legs, and his weapons clang to his magnetized horseshoes.
"Everyone get down!"
He fires off all 12 shots paying close attention to the surrounding trees and figuring out just how to ricochet them in the exact right way to hit his target.

It rears up to take a chomp out of you. >>496507 >>496507 But Emmy manages to completely slice the giant beasts to bits. It immediately begins to reform. >>496506 One shot misses slightly but the other one hits causing the timberwolf. to let go. It's still growling next to you. That awful stench.
>>496519 You manage to eradicate the remains of the giant that attacked Vigiliance and Emmy. >>496520 You manage to slice the wolf once. >>496521 It falls into twigs and kindling. It growls at you and Cinnamon angrily. >>496531 >>496538 >>496539 >>496539 Vigilance slices a wolf attacking him out of the darkness out of the air, Cinnamon eliminates the one growling at her and Emmy by pummeling it to smithereens, and Double Action misses his first shot but manages to send the other two Timberwolves to the ground. "Where'd Lilly go?!" Celestia cries from behind a nearby rock. >>496529 You make it into the clearing and suddenly the ground beneath you gives out. You are falling into a pit roll to catch.

"Was it that same dragon as before? The one that ki-" "Through to this clearing." Celestia interrupted. "Oh…right.." Twilight followed through to the clearing behind Celestia and Luna.
