The time is roughly 3 in the afternoon, the scent of maple leaves is strong in the air, and you reflect on the night ahead of you. You were hired by the Mayor of Springleaf to handle a special issue. Their town of Springleaf is one that borders a forest, a forest that lately has been swarming with undead. The local guard can not be spared to go into the woods and deal with the source, which is suspected to be one very active necromancer, this is where you come in. You were each hired individually for your various skills, and told to work together. One of the local hunters, an earth pony stallion called Jed, has agreed to guide you as near as possible to the undead. Ged waits for you to assemble at the town gate, donning leather armor, a bow and quill. He strokes his grey bread, his grey lined brown fur rustling in the wind and his faded blue eyes staring at you.

** "The skeletons start appearing just inside of the woods." The stallion Ged says and starts to walk into the woods along the well worn trail. Guiding you along, away from the humble town of Springleaf. You start to notice a few fresh tracks already.

Ged Stead peaks around a tree and nods to your group, pointing ahead with a slightly grey hoof. "There's a few now. Good fortune and swift strikes follow you." You gather that's his way of saying he's done his part.
>>615412 You move into stealth tucking and rolling behind the bushes and trees. There are four skeleton ponies roaming around in a group. Their well polished bones look like tasty targets, and the one carrying a bag around looks like an even easier target. You are in near range to them. >>615414 >>615417 You easily spot the four skeletons trampling clumsily around the woods. Their scent is slightly oily, and their bones seem polished. One of them is hauling a bag of supplies. You are both in 'far' range right now.

Zombie 4 strikes your side, your armor softens the blow, you take 5 damage. >>615424 Skeleton 3 pounds on your shield, allowing you a chance to whip him and deal a light hit.
>>615427 You take aim and hit skeleton 4, luckily it doesn't seem to care enough to come after your while there are other targets near it.
>>615436 In transition of switching to your hoof bow you feel the hollow hooves of the skeleton pony fall on you, you launch the arrow a little too fast and only scrape the side of him. >>615438 You shouting draws their attention to your shield, but this time a few of their hits get through. You take 4 damage, and retaliate with a harsh whip, you felt something crack on the other side. >>615439 With your partners keeping them busy, you're perfectly safe to take shots at the undead and land two shots. You finish off skeleton 3, and deal a significant blow to skeleton 4.
>>615450 The skeletons are slightly antagonized by your taunts, and the shield is taking a beating from their hooves. You're not sure how much longer you can hold it together when suddenly.. >>615454 You shoot an arrow at the undead attacking you, making it back off and then rush to aid Danube cutting at one of the skeletons attacking him. >>615460 Before the skeleton 3 can chase after Duad, you finish it off, watching it crumble.
>>615464 >>615473 You fumble around too much trying to reload the small bow, and the strap comes undone, making the hoof-bow drop to the ground. You are now disarmed from the hoof-bow, you may pick it back up with a 4 or greater. >>615465 You whip falls a little flat while you focus on keeping the undead at bay with the shield. >>615469 Sensing trouble you put more effort into your shot and shatter the spine of the skeleton 1 with shear force of the impact. It crumbles away into a pile of bones, leaving its bag of goodies behind.

The Zebra leading it with the taunting whip only to block its damage from getting through, which the roguish pegasus quickly slashes at the body flanks crumbling what remains of its joints. In the background the bowmare cheers.

>>615487 The bones themselves are well tended to, preserved and polished. The bags appear to stitched with scraps of an old tabbard from the discordian rebels. The contents of the bag are as follow: four keys, a staff with a glowing red crystal, a sliver bracer with a glowing green crystal, and a circlet with a bright blue crystal.
