>>507402 >>507401 >>507400 You drop down from the ceiling, drawing your blades on the two ponies below you, they fire on you startled, the standard size of the magical orbs fired from the weapons, combined with the more natural magical blasts from the casters brings you down to the floor in pain before you can finish your attack. Madison quietly cuts one of the casters on the other side of the room from you, and he falls down stunned and Maddie steps away before anyone sees her.
>>507926 You spring back up to your hooves and blow up the ceiling creating a pile of wreckage in the center of the room, the nearby ponies attempt to dodge the falling bricks. '4d10'
The wreckage comes down too quickly leaving four of them trapped underneath. Maddison takes advantage of the confusing and gets one of the ranged attackers with a stealthy attack.
>>507958 >>507957 As the light of magic begins form on the caster's horn you rush him from the left side bringing him down before his dark spell can complete itself, taking a glancing blow from the ranged fighter who back up a step to let his friend get between you two. You feel angry, motivated, and ready to strike them both down for their injustices. CE +1 Maddison finishes off her enemy and tries to hide again. '1d10' '5d10' the trapped ponies attempt to get free.
>>507978 >>507989 With the help of the west most melee guard, the ranged attacker and one of the casters are freed from the wreckage, Maddie takes a blast from the ranged fighter in front of you as you are busy finishing off the fallen unicorn, you then turn to the two and push past the swords pony's defenses landing a serious wound on his shoulder, and then giving the guns-pony a similar wound, the ranged pony falls down. And you find time to give them a once over and see understand what they are all capable of. The unicorn on the ground near you is a mainly arcane caster, but the darkness in his eyes tells you that he's been dabbling in far darker things. The two pegasi before you seem decent enough fighters, the knight attempting to protect the gun-pony holding only his sword now that his shoulder is too injured to lift a shield. The newly freed caster breathes heavily, his eyes unfocused as if distracted by something else, The ranged pony near him seems worried and attempts to calm the pegasus caster while wrapping up his hoof that was injured in the blast, the knight near them looks up at you cautiously as if trying to discern a plan. anything else you want to know about these guys?
>>510151 You dash forward with nearly unnatural speed, letting the knight run towards you as well and flipping over him to land your long curved blades into his back, he falls flat on the floor in pain. The ranged pegasus he was defending gets back up. Using a bit of team work the three on the west side free the trapped unicorn, he looks a bit shaken still.
>>510152 Slice the knight once more and then quickly dash from the pegasus to the unicorn, hopefully putting him out of his misery. Hot Irons. '1d10+2'
>>510153 >>510154 You slice along the knight's back, cutting at one of his wings, and then move toward the ranged fighter dodging to the side of his blasts and kicking off of him to land on the unicorn and finish him off. Maddie circles around and keeps a few of the west side ones busy. leaving a cut on the ranged pegasus's other hoof. They seem to have gathered themselves again, but the pegasus caster seems distressed still.
>>510156 >>510157 As you stab the knight again finishing him and lock eyes with the pegasus in front of you, he breathes heavily as he shoots at you and attempts to rejoin the ones on the west side. Meanwhile maddison gets overwhelmed by the group and falls down. Luckily she slips away before they do too much damage to her.
>>510163 >>510161 You go back into the darkness and attack all four of the ponies on the west side, taken by surprise, they fall down before your blades, and the unicorn doesn't seem to be getting back again. Maddie takes this as her chance to go after your ranged assailant and easily downs him.
>>510170 You split your blades apart and dive them into the hearts of your chosen targets, the earth pony and the pegasus ranger, Madison kills her target and looks up at you. Only the slightly panicked pegasus caster remains, his heart beat and breath extremely fast.
>>510191 He relaxes a tiny bit and heals you with a white light, with a touch of surprise at how easily it worked. He also gives Madison a touch up and then looks up at the sword pinning him to the wall silently asking for you to remove that.
>>510200 You rip away his catalyst and crush it watching him twitch as you do. "..right.." Maddison follows you stealthily as you check outside, the skies appear clear from this angle, but you could check the other towers.
>>510209 You can spot one group flying near the northern wall, and another group near the east side that doesn't seem to be moving and is instead guarding a large gate.
>>510213 >>510214 There are a team of six flying about the northern wall. No casters are in this group, and they have guns as well as swords. six pegasi: 5/3: ranged/melee the gate group has only four, but they seem a bit tougher. They don't seem like casters either, but they do seem a bit too muscular, as if they have been enhanced. 2 earth ponies: 10/7 2 unicorns: 10/4
>>510222 You find six guns on the bodies: they are decorated with runes that give them the following elemental types: 1 plain, 1 electric. 3 ice, 1 fire. Maddie is investigating the boxes in the corner.
>>510230 "They are both locked tight, and they has this symbol on it." She gestures to it, the symbol looks like the one from your scroll, the one for fire. "Looks familiar right?" Maddie grins.
>>510237 You pick up the set of boxes, they are triangular and set together as if they were meant to lock into each other. The locks themselves are similar, and wind up on the top two sides when you set the boxes together.. perhaps the same key will unlock them.
>>510246 The boxes are not trapped, and it looks like there is space to lock in more boxes. "They are the same box. All six of them. We're supposed to rotate them around, so they don't stay in one place." Madison seems to be beaming with pride. #pause
>>513185 "Well.. No.. but because of that I'm not sure where the other ones are.." Seems like you make him nervous. "But those probably aren't why you're here? They don't even do anything.."
>>513187 You look at the two boxes, they are both right triangles, with identical symbols for fire on top, you mess around with the latches but can't open it. You also note that they lock together perfectly as if they belonged together.
>>513189 Uh. Both have the symbol for fire on them? Let's see if I can force my way around the locks. Get my tools at a ready and fiddle with them. '1d20+15'
>>513194 You realize they have the same lock as well as their other identical features. They both pop open and appear empty, however you feel some warm coming form inside of them. Madison stands near the window peeking outside. She doesn't seem to have spotted anything yet. The pegasus stallion pinned to the wall looks around the room nervously.
>>513198 "Elementals? No.. Uh.. those elementals are locked up at the bottom of the tower.. I didn't even know you could open those boxes. At least not separately."
>>513206 His eyes widen and he shakes as he speaks to you "O-okay.. Look, they are literally the same box, it was one box and it was divided up into six so that no one could have what was inside.. Or find it with magical detection.. It had some kind of glowing red crystal in it, I mean I didn't see it, but I heard that was what was it. Um.. You are supposed to need all six together again to actually get the thing. But really! I am not sure who has the others."
>>513214 He nods slowly, his wings still stuck to his sides in fear. Since you did not shackle him he is not shackled. Just stuck up to the wall with a sword like a piece of paper with a thumbtack. Maddie turns doesn't turn around but replies promptly "A group flew past once, seems like they were going to the south. " Then she looks back at you with a smile "looks like we're lucky today."
>>513244 You can see quite a lot from up here, this is a great view point. You can see exactly where the spring time greenery is and where the snow still sits in stubborn piles, very few creatures move here, a few geese swim around in the water, one of them vanishes before with a small splash while you watch. There is a group of three hanging out by wall above the western gate, and a group of three at the northern wall, look like the group you saw earlier simply split up. It won't be too much longer before they notice the dead bodies. You also notice something you did not before, that at regular intervals there is a pile of stone by the mote.
